"I'm going to bring up three guys and I'm going to tell you where departures where we were pretty upset about these guys the parks and then I'm GonNa tell you about what happened. We don't know the fallout with Antonio Brown Antonio Brown's number three. We don't know fallout but let's talk about. Let's let's do the pattern though let's go back to the year nineteen ninety five three more yards the guy who did not hall in the ball in the end zone had knocked away by Guy Dennis Gibson with a guy named Barry Foster. He's gone in fact. He never played football again. He's gone. We're like it's the end of the world in Pittsburgh in nineteen ninety-five they replace them with a combination of a guy that they're excited about <hes> I- second-year player <hes> in Bam Morris and a free agent another guy that you didn't know that well I knew he wants but no one knew him that well Eric Pilgrim they they went to the Super Bowl. They lost the Super Bowl but they went to the Super Bowl and that was a magic that <hes> you were talking about the other day with bill cowher teams and one of your in and one of your articles in here's the thing that was a magical season. Even though they lost I even watch those highlights all the time and it was so a magical game for me just the fact that they were there. I'm an adult watching the steelers from the Super Bowl for the first time it was off and <hes> but no one expected them to rebound after losing Barry Foster..

"Dome. So he wasn't bothered by the US Bank stadium. So he's use. And if I knew you had the Carson Wentz connect plane in the Dakota dome. I would have been all over this map Mooney. Character Sean is a huge fan of those wondering, you know, Sean did not read that online. He reads every newspaper on Sunday having think an open. Your honeymoon. You still haven't had it. And I think you were talking about going to North Dakota, South Dakota. With the wife, North Dakota, sat Dakota Chica, Terry. And. I I are are the parents of the great the great Carson Wentz going to be in Italy Chadha make the pilgrimage to the to the holy land. There's a layover there you're telling tests, I don't understand. I know there's a layover in Bismarck. Oh my God. Plenty I surprise. To North Dakota mice and country. One last point on Texas Tech like you said, Patrick, Mahomes Schefter also pointed out to NFL head coaches, cliff kings, very Anthony Lynn in. I mean, cliff Kingsbury technically NFL coach we'll see how long that lasts and multiple NFL stain ads. Dany Dollah Wes Welker Michael Crabtree. Zach Thomas Bam Morris and now in the mix as a football school or basketball school. It is kind of crazy the transition clip kings, raise the only guy that's failed upward you had fired from coaching college football over on her over under sixteen games coached. Yeah. I mean, these kind of is by probably good. Well, if they draft GM is showing that he's not gonna he doesn't fuck around. And there's a very strong chance. He could have no idea how to control grown men. I I mean, I would take the under sixteen games. If they if they wash out Rosia Rosen and bringing Cuyler Murray absolute talk about keeping both have you seen that? I mean, again, the the NFL they can't get the chance to trade for him because they're about to extend ally. Manning. All right now, we're getting into football. But Gilman's not to he doesn't like what he sees. In rosen. Oh, my he came out and said that why would you say that he didn't say that? But the giants are not stoked on what they're seeing in rows. And the story. Well, why would you leak that? Just why would you limit your potential options for quarterback because you're lowering the value that would be I mean that would you would say behind the scenes because if you end up with him why dolphins?.

"But to sue got this point because he did at the Hailey if he did admit, it, do you think people would actually mind I mean, no one likes Ellie? I have no earthly idea. How it is. That Ben Rothlisberger has as as arrived in a place where there could be the accusation made. What does it require a more famous running back to make the accusation to make it a story? That's a bigger story. He had the most famous running back and most famous wide receiver know what I'm saying is to make it a story that people are talking about on the news did Ben Rothlisberger fumble on purpose in a game to spite his coach the accusations being made by running a running back. I haven't heard of Josh Harris if if it were being made by Jerome beddis, if it was being made by lady on bell us if it was being made by James, Connor. Nater? I would say it's made by Jerome Bettis, the boss, I would say that would carry some weight. Yes. That's john. Connor. Did you do the purpose there? I don't know which one you did on purpose. Which you didn't. Did you do Jerome bettas that would carry some weight because he's big did you do that? Or no. Absolutely not. Running backs mystery the league that you could say that sentence about an avid be funny. Who are they C J Anderson at some recency by it? Bam morris. Achey woods count as a fat running back who Natron means business. So. What's the list on a second? Let's do this. Let's have some fun with the mount Rushmore fat running backs. If would C J Anderson because a lot of people were talking about it when he replaced odd girly the fridge. I mean that doesn't really count. Does it go to touchdown in Super Bowl? That's right. If you're making really fattening soup and ring comes out. When you throw it in the refrigerator soup. Ron dane. You guys don't wanna play the fat running back game under. Was this nickname? Thunder was Ron Danes was the thunder thunder lightning. The lightning Bennett some guy. Tiki. That's right. That is right. That is a Tiki barber was the lightning and Ron Dane was the thunder. Yeah. It'd be weird. If it were the other way. Okay. My bad. I because I was thinking Ron Dane, it was kansin. I really I didn't realize he got that nickname with the giant. So that really wasn't thunder that way his career with the giants was not funder. Brunton do much in the pros about Craig Heyward. Yeah. That's good. So if we hire and head if we have to narrow it down to four if it's gotta be four fete running backs for all time on mount eat more. Who are we putting up there? Four guys you got to put you gotta pick four of them for running backs for all time just spitballing here. Lendl white was he heavy? Yes. He had weight problems..

"Then ever won anything. They never won anything in. He replied will. They made it to AFC championship game whip d do just like doing Lind. Pittsburgh does not label themselves as a success for reaching a conference championship game. They're labeled their success with Super Bowl trophies. And they never produced one. You can talk defense you can talk. Whatever you want. They killer bees one nothing period. Go back and think about those two two dozen five two thousand nine they have even close to the offense of weapons that they have now now. Did they win? Yep. Yes. They did. Absolutely. You could even go back to nineteen ninety five when they went to Super Bowl thirty in loss to Dallas. Did they had the offense of weapons then? Bam Morris not really running back in the anti fake pen. Not not not not really they didn't Neil Donal come on. But they still got to the Super Bowl zero forty five. They didn't have the same talent when they lost to Green Bay, plain and simple. This team might be without those v superstars in two thousand nineteen but it doesn't mean the sky's falling. And it doesn't mean this team can still be very prolific offense without them to answer the burning question will Jewish without Antonio Brown lady on balance. He doesn't nineteen. Odds are possibly maybe even probably. But I think that intended round might be back. Got a hunch. Not a source got a hunch. That's a show folks listening. Make sure you check out all of.

"I mean, he was he was the buses bus driver. So yeah and Kreider rings back. Remember, not not completely. I actually, you know, who was really considered the bus driver was Tim left. Can I don't even know it? Yeah. I'm not even gonna stay Tim Lester when he came over here to couple years in Pittsburgh. But he was a really good back. I mean fullback for the feelers for my money. Now, I bring up to. In this to be raped debate. I loved and Kreider Dan, Kreider win, my statements. You know, I John to he he was better for Green Bay. John. Whitman was good. But for my money is a toss up. The easy money would be to say Meryl hod, but I'm going to go with the man who replaced Merrill hearts. And he was only with the Steelers for a couple of years, but he was amazing. And I love my favorite unheralded Steelers at fullback was none other than can you gets it. You talk about Jonah Williams. Sean L Williams though, he was great for the Seahawks. But what are you came over from Pittsburgh? I mean, we're talking ninety four ninety five because hod left after the ninety three season any four ninety five. He was a madman for that team. He was really good as a fullback for Barry Foster for p groom or p groom for Bam Morris. I big fan of well, we really got off the rails. You can tell us the off season. But it's still fun. No. I think fixing I will say fiction. I'm Dan Kreider. But then Kreider is. I would probably for thing for a recent generations would probably consider him the best Rosie mix pretty darn good back. In fact, I think our listeners you, and I have argued that we wanna see more sets with Rosie nix lined up at fullback, and you and I have been doing this together for two years now and one of my favorite memories discuss discussing with you was rosy next, and he had some good moments. But what would you say was Rosie's best moments of the past couple of years? I like the I was. Go ahead. Putting the spot here. No, no, no. I I know exactly when I enjoyed it was the it was from twenty seventeen scored a touchdown. I think it was a pass. And he's in he fell on the guy that tried to tackle them. And you hurt the gun and to me that was my favorite job. Raymond. Raymond ravens. That was a great moment. But that's not what I'm going for. Okay. Me the best. Rosie mixed moment. Was I believe it was week six of two thousand seventeen when they had a bring somebody into protect Leon bell from fun has perfect and on the one of the very first place. He just went after and knock them over and number fifty five fifty five he was neutralized the rest of the game Roe v necks had him. So frustrated in that game. Tony it was it was just a thing of legend. I just absolutely loved it. And from that point forward. I'm like, this is my guy. Number forty five. I would wear a forty five jersey. In fact, I think I need to get on that my most obscure jersey right now is events like, Donald I guess, but I think I need to get a rosy maxim. I think I you know, what totally I can wear a rosy Knicks jersey into that stadium. And what do you think the over under would be let's say? Let's say five. Over under. How many people would ask me where I got it. I'd say over five seven seven or eight because he is probably coolest player on the he's going to players on the team for sure he's just he's just a superstar as far as what you know what? Pittsburgh Steeler fans wanting fullbacks. Could. What Europe would have Rosie mixed in best. Now, we're talking to Rosie nix. I would probably I mean, great era. But I just don't think they're using him. I think if he would have played in the nineties. They they could have been a better rushing team. They already were or the early two thousands. Actually, I think I think the late eighties with knoll because you mentioned Franko and even marrow heart had his best years when he was.

"Well, let's go back to nineteen ninety-five and berry foster leaves, and you go ahead with a platoon of Eric pilgrim and Bam Morris at running back. That's a team that went to the Super Bowl that year. And finally after sixteen years something they couldn't do with the great berry foster there. So in that point it was a dish in. Subtraction. I think this is way too much. Subtraction though, when we look at losing both bell and Brown. It might be a situation right now that you can't win with them. And you can't win without him. That's just a position that they're in. I think I still go back to the fact that Jews of very good number one receiver, but he's a number one a receiver any still needs a guy like Antonio Brown there. And if Antonio Brown's not there, they need a juju liked to be his jujubes number two. And right now, they don't have it. So that that's the big thing you're taking a lot of from the wide receiver position if he goes and. And I don't know if they can go ahead and compete because as as much as we heralded James Connor for filling in you know, when it came down to it. Antonio Brown was scoring fifteen touchdowns in Antonio Brown. Was was a really dry helping to drive the scoring for that offense. And he was the man on that offense. In fact, when I published the offense of MVP and grades just a couple of weeks ago. He was the guy I was looking towards as the offensive MBP everything that he has accomplished this year and kept them going. So I think it would be awfully tough to replace him. But it's not impossible. I think that if you looking at bell and Brown biz departing the drop from receiver would be more precipitous than running back because I think James Connor, and even Jalen Samuels proved their very valuable, and they can be very good. Wants to punch when our talk about that specifically today as we break down the depth chart at the running back positions. I don't wanna get too much into that. But obviously everything Brian said, I agree with juju. Smith, Schuster is great. I think he's only going to get better. But at the same time. We also would happen against Cincinnati. I mean, if you have defenses are targeting him, you have to have someone else to take some pressure off David by you, you think addition by subtraction. As a possibility with these players potentially leaving. It's hard to look at it. When you wanna say what you lose and compare from here to here. But if you look at Super Bowl winning teams, how often do you have a? Best running back in the league or best wide receiver in the league or something like that on the team that wins the Super Bowl. It look at the New England Patriots this year. They don't have one of the elite running backs in the league. They don't have one of the elite wide receivers in the league. They have what used to be the elite tight end in the league. But they had elite quarterback from you. Can it all depends on your balance and the way that you play together and your defense, and you're and as we see in so many of these games just some dumb luck just to get in the right position. So it's I mean, your chances are better with that better talent. But all the talent in the world is not going to give you a Super Bowl. Look at teams that go out and try to sign the biggest free agents, you can get every season like the Redskins used to do and how they would continually underachieve book as it doesn't equal. What it takes to? Hundred all Niagara. I just think that this this team in general is just is. It's just a it's dumb founding. It's I skin put my finger on it e the when you have a team that looks like they are in control and position to actually do some good. They just they always seem to trip up some way, shape or form. Now, let me ask you all my burning question from my show the other night, and I'll tell you what my answer was unless you listen to the show. And that is do you think the patriots could potentially win two Super Bowls before the Steelers win just one in for the sake of this argument? Let's assume that Tom and Ben Rothlisberger stay in the game..

"Here's toadied it is time for one of my favorite segments that were doing because the in celebration of the greatest sporting event in America the Super Bowl, we do Super Bowl rewind on this date in Super Bowl history. It's January eighteenth. What the cool thing is is we're getting some older Super Bowls now because this is win the Super Bowl used to be played. And then we pushed it way down the calendar. Once we got the sixteen games on the schedule. And then we just kind of extended it a little bit. We get all the way down to the twenties. And when we do Ron we're gonna do Super Bowl dates that have like three Super Bowls attached to them when we get down to the twenties in the February. Yeah, give it give it twenty more years and the Super Bowl will give way to March madness. Yeah. Exactly. You'll be right in the March. Right. He'll be right in the March. So on this date in Super Bowl history. Super Bowl ten now. We talked about the patriots right before the patriots. There were the Steelers who wants four Super Bowls in six years. This was their second straight Super Bowl. So they were not dynastic yet because we had seen multiple Super Bowl championships from the Green Bay Packers early. We saw it with the Miami Dolphins. So we haven't quite got the dynasty yet for Pittsburgh. But it's certainly helped they beat the Dallas Cowboys twenty one to seventeen Chuck knoll. Tom landry. The game was played at the Orange Bowl in Miami. The MVP of the game was Lynn swan who had a touchdown was one of those. Touchdown catches. You kind of see on NFL films. Going down the line. You get that. He had the sixty four yard touchdown from Bradshaw that game in the fourth quarter in the Steelers won twenty one to seventeen in that game. And that happened on this date in one thousand nine hundred seventy six ninety seven to nineteen seventy six on this date. The Steelers were favored in this game by ten points. And they went back to back championships. You know, who is the halftime show of this game up with people up with people remember up with people the little student band group, or whatever they were not really before my time, and they used to least used to be a group called up with people. I don't know if they're still around where they would get like young people who could saying and do some and they would they were Super Bowl halftime show back in the day. Pat, Summerall and Tom Brookshire, Hank Schram where the announcers for the Super Bowl on CBS got a rating of forty two and a half. It's pretty good. But this is the Steelers again, they they became the paper. Creates and a few years. They would be with the patriots are now. Right people. Sick them in Super Bowls lot four to six pretty pretty amazing. Tom, Terry Bradshaw. Lynn Swann, John stallworth the steel curtain defense. Chuck Noll, right? That's this is the start of the Steeler dynasty, but winning Super Bowl ten. This would be one of three times that the Steelers and the Cowboys would meet in the Super Bowl. The Steelers also beat the Cowboys in Super Bowl thirteen and then they also be lost to them in Super Bowl thirty. That's the famous game of Neil O'Donnell throwing two interceptions to Larry Brown and both of them where no Steelers in anywhere near Larry Brown whatsoever. When the fix was on, right? Yeah. That's what everybody believed Neil O'Donnell fix the game. Well, at least those of us on the massive conspiracy side of the Super Bowl that couldn't understand how you don't run. The Cowboys defense down with Bam Morris in the last part of that game. Instead, you're flinging. It when yellow Donald was like, where's the cowboy? Where's the cowboy? Where's the cowboy? Whereas theory is not covering anybody here. Larry Brown, who's got the MVP. How do you? Get an interception when you're nowhere near a Steeler shouldn't defensively. You be near a Steeler. Brought to get an interception. If you're getting interception, and there's no Steeler around you. That means you're not covering anybody. Right. Is that the logical conclusion they can make or somebody's gonna remind me? Oh, no. They played this kind of zone defense. Okay. Five, but nevertheless, it's still makes me bitter should help. Because the Steelers big in that game. You can get you can get mad Larry Brown for being, you know, just an occupying an area. But I'm what was what was the Donald thinking? Yeah. There was nobody around. There wasn't anybody around those as if he forgot what jersey he was wearing this that Super Bowl one of the reasons that Super Bowl hurt so badly is because the Cowboys were crushing them. I mean, absolutely crushing them. It was at one point twenty two seven and it was like oh this is going nowhere. This is the Steelers couldn't stop the Cowboys at one time. I was thirteen and nothing in Yancey Thigpen a touchdown. But it's still didn't look like the Steelers were in the game. And then all of a sudden the Steelers did some stuff they scored on a field goal. They got the ball back on this. Cool. Onside kick, and then Bam Morris scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter that cut the lead to three and then the Steelers the Steelers had the ball back and with a chance to take the lead in the game late, and that's when Larry Brown got the interception and that led to Emmett Smith scoring on a four yard touchdown to make the game a ten point game. But the Steelers had the ball. With a chance to take the lead in the Super Bowl Super Bowl. They trailed for most of the game. And instead Larry Brown gets the interception that sealed the win for the Cowboys very hard to take tough to take. I didn't mind losing to the Packers a few years ago. But I still can't get over Super Bowl thirty. Yeah. The Super Bowl thirty was the one and a half watched. Yeah. My brother was a Cowboys fan growing up. And I used to tease him as kids that we had the two Super Bowl victories over the Cowboys. And then he finally got this one. So Nevertheless, I waited my whole life the to get back to the Super Bowl. Like, I was a little kid when they went to the Super Bowl fourteen against the Rams, and then I waited all through the eighties and nothing, and I waited through most of the nineties early nineties when they had really good football teams. But they would lose to buffalo or they would lose to the chargers in the AFC title game. And then they beat Indianapolis. And when they beat Indianapolis who is Jim Harbaugh team at the time Harbaugh. Threw a hail Mary that almost got caught in the end zone. That would have sent the colts to that Super Bowl the ball landed on the stomach of the wide receiver would fall into the ground. He had it for a split. Second kind of corralled the ball in and then fell and then had it on his stomach, and then it rolled off of him. And the Steelers won the AFC championship game. But for a brief second I thought oh, God not again, not again. But don't you take? Don't you feel good in the fact that that was the Cowboys last Super Bowl? Yeah. I never would have guessed. I. At that time that that's the last time. We would've saw the Cowboys because that was mini dynasty building. That's probably would have been better than the patriots. Yeah. Giving given the three the triplets. They beat the bills twice took the year off losing to the forty Niners for Super Bowl twenty nine and came back and won Super Bowl thirty with Barry Switzer as the head coach. Yeah. And that's it nineteen Ninety-six January of ninety six the last time we saw the Cowboys in the Super Bowl. And that there was a time when we were sick of the Dallas Cowboys to right? Oh, yeah. Remember NFL? The Cowboys get sick of the bills more than the Cowboys. But then we were sick of the Cowboys. But then when the bills lost their fourth one, we were like okay now, we're feeling bad for him. I was I was feeling horrible. You get at least one I know. I have a friend of mine, she's a huge Buffalo Bills fan. Which is she's like the only bills fan, I know in my life. I just remember we were in college at the time. It just choose so devastated all. She's never going to win this. And I'm like I wanted to be supportive. But I was like no you're not you're not gonna win this now because losing to the giants Cowboys twice into the Niners. Redskins redskins. They lost a Mark Rippin. Oh, yeah. Reds back. Great quarterback Mark ribbon. If I'm not mistaken, and you could correct me wrong. You can correct me on Twitter at Tony radio. I believe that was the Super Bowl Super Bowl twenty six that Thurman. Thomas lost his helmet. And couldn't find it. And he was he missed like the first play of the game. Because he missed you forgot his helmet. Oh my God. It's a Super Bowl. You forget your helmet. Just inside. We saw yesterday that could happen. Yeah. Yeah. Now, Michael on Twitter. Let's not forget Larry Brown had two interceptions in that game. He did he did have interceptions. Mike about it. And he got a big free agent contract by the raiders go figure. I know nobody made Larry Brown's career better than Neil O'Donnell. Not Larry Brown. Neil o'donnell. Let me tell you something if he had dropped any one of those interceptions. He would be he would have been the laughing stock in Super Bowl history. We would have been playing like the keystone cops music in the background like behrman. And watch Larry Brown. Get this short or -ception. That's thrown right to him by Steeler. What's got you dropped it even of joined his teammate Leila. That's right. Leon Lett, right? Look at Leon Lett rumbling down the sidelines holding the football out in his hand before he crossed the goal line. BB knocked it out. I was at the Super Bowl were you at twenty seven is in Pasadena, and I remembered that play vividly because you don't really see it on the cameras. But when you're in the stands, I was looking over. I was like man, I could tell the wide receiver was later found out that it was Dombi. But I sat there looking. I'm like dude that guy. I mean, he was I think on the thirty yard line on the on the other side of the fifty is under thirty four and he just went into a dead sprint and totally see that you're looking at like he's going to catch him. It's amazing. When you think about that play because that play became he became so famous for that play like coaches used it to motivate athletes, like look at look at the hustle. He got the ball out of his hands and turn it into a touchback. Yup. How awesome is that? And then he did you are Dombi ended up getting a Super Bowl ring with a Green Bay. I think was the Packers the Packers with farve with the first one far begins the patriots, but always tied to buffalo and that play and look when your bills fan. I'm sure I'm sure the super bowl's hurt, but I always respect buffalo fans for the way. They embrace Scott Norwood after Super Bowl twenty five and BB is like a folk hero for that play just that play complete relation. Right. The Cowboys forced nine turnovers never even a contra. Seventeen or something like that? I mean. Something that was said he he vomited before the game he was under. He felt so much pressure. And he didn't show it at all. He just annihilated. I guess vomiting would be good for the system. If it leads to that kind of football performance that Aikman and the Cowboys put on against the bills in that game. But. Out of out of all of that garbage at of all that embarrassment. Don, BB's play on Leon Lett is the shining moment for bills fans who embraced it..

"For the next four hours will get to the jets Adam gays little bit. We'll get to the interesting Yankee move that was made about forty eight hours ago with DJ LeMay you, but it is the divisional round. See gotta kick it off with this double header and. Going back to last year's postseason. Aside from New England and Tennessee. Every underdog covered the number last year in the wildcard round championship weekend Super Bowl while call weekend here in twenty nineteen. Well. For the first time in a long time. The favorites. They struck back and they struck back in a big way. I the Kansas City Chiefs. Arrowhead stadium. Divisional round monkey off their back in one difference. Between those chief teams. And the chief team right now on God. Patrick Mahomes is under center playing quarterback in. It was one of those games where the chiefs came out guns ablaze, Mahomes, bake, employees to hill, Damian Williams running the football out of the backfield. Kelsey all of the reasons you'll love Kansas City throughout the regular season. They want fold display early in that game. They totally dominated. The Indianapolis Colts bought the was appointed the end of the first half way you sitting there saying yourself. As badly as the colts have lot as poorly. He's playing this game. Is there for the taking if there's a play here a play there? And it was one of those days for Indianapolis, where let's be honest. Everything went wrong you had Adam venit. Terry miss an extra points missing field goals at the end of the half. Nobody maybe suffer my friends Sesa. But nobody is a bigger Angela fan in me, and let's call Pittsburgh. I don't wanna hear any sympathy. I don't wanna hear the Andrew walk apologist here on Saturday for as good as he was down the stretch for as good as he was in week seventeen or last week against the Houston. Texans against the Kansas City defense that sticks that Kansas City defense is awful no place in the secondary. That can't stop the Ron. Ed, you could not have been any worse in this football game. Nowhere nece no pocket presence. How about when? Darius Leonard looks like he's getting the colts right back in the ball game with a strip sack and your proceeds to give it right back. What is so sack of his own? It was one of those days where the colts couldn't get anything going on offense. It's a credit to the chiefs though, because. This is a team that let's be fair had a whole lot of demons coming into this postseason. That franchise. Pointed home at Arrowhead, Andy Reid. Why are we hearing about the chiefs? They never wanted home weird things happen to them in the playoffs. Dull find a way to score it up. Well on Saturday. They did they would have better football team. They deserve to win that game going away. And here's errative to fault. One I came away so unimpressed with so much for the physicality. I don't understand why they got away from their running game as quickly as they did considering nobody on Kansas City can stop the run. I mean, why would you panic when down fourteen points stay within your game plan? The colts still have an incredibly bright future. This is will learn from he will grow from. This young team will be back. They have a salary cap space. They had people in the front office who get it down the head coach who gets it. This was just the wrong choice to be playing a playoff game. It was not going to be denied. But it wasn't a vintage second half of the chiefs. Knows all the soda things. Kansas City will have to clean up. If are going to be representing the AFC and the Super Bowl. But it is refreshing to say you don't have to worry about New England. Let's say hosting yet another championship game at Foxboro stadium. No matter. What happens here on Sunday? The road to the Super Bowl. We'll go through. Chiefs dominate game on now we get to the Cowboys and Rams in game two and. Dallas got off to the fast. Start the Rams dole throughout move the football. At will. They settled for a couple of field goals early. But you never got the sense that devolved highly talked about Dallas defense that me along with many others will raving about throughout the year could get a handle on how to slow down the ram offensive line. And for those of you who listen to this show. I think you guys know I have a theory running back. So why I very much value the running back position as I love my own guy. I never want other people's running backs. I think Saturday is the perfect example of why the wanting back position you could tell it across the board Damien Williams for the chiefs C, J Anderson, but by the way, gained about fifty pounds. I mean is that the Anderson you saw in Denver. I don't think so he put on about forty fifty pounds. But he was running like Eric Dickerson. He was running. Jerome Bettis, so bam. Bam Morris just wanted to people left and right left or right left and right afraid chain. Johnson Damian Williams after ten weeks incentive failure. Tremont suspended girl is banged up. Both have killer divisional rats. The Rams though in this game. The reason they had success the dominated from the point of attack. Dallas couldn't find an answer for swollen them down. Now to kill plays cost the Cowboys in this game. There was a third of all legal hands to the face. Didn't like the call way to ramp. I down led to ramp. Touchdown sorta mistake you can't make on the road. Here's another Dallas in the second half started to gain some momentum. See this is not a game where I'm going to hear from the Dak Prescott hater because you know, what I thought on all that Prescott pretty pretty, well, you know, Mr. throw here or there but made plays but his legs made some plays. What is this was not one of those days we come away saying, oh, I was so unimpressed with that. I didn't get that sense at all. But they had a four hundred one eight chasing Garrett absolutely positively with the right call the go forward. But if you watch Dallas on a couple conversions they were able to convert on third and especially on fourth down Kennedy outside whether Zeke, whether it was Dak weather's a read option here or there. Everybody in the LA calcium new. Four to one. And up the metal. That was not fooling anybody. Durant already for it snuffed it out, and let's be fair. Dallas never really recovered. Now. I for one had no problem. Not with the Cowboys chicken deep because you got three timeouts you got the two minute warning. And I know you a defense did not stop Anderson and girly all day, but that's been your strength all year. I am kicking it deep, and I'm trusting my defense for better or worse to get a stop. They forced the LA Rams into seven tornadoes situation. And this is why folks as an NFL head coach you can't coach and you can't play scared. The Rams Randy perfect play. Call on a third Nate. They had booth to the outside. If there was not the Nair slides down thousands of time out or they let the clock burn. If they're expecting something else you pick a first down and win again. Beautiful call by Sean McVeigh, who let's be fair was taking a lot of heat this week. A lot of people wondering will the golden boy and his team show up. Now that everybody's looking for that next. Sean McVeigh hate the brakes to everybody out there. There's only one and he's a damn good head coach he had the better team on Saturday. His team his offensive line. Punked, a really good front seven because they didn't have a prayer stop in Iran. This is not one of those teams. Whereas a cowboy fan you say, wow, we lost this game. Because our quarterback lead us down. Not at all Cooper may plays Galp may place press plays. The reason the Dallas Cowboys will be watching the NFC Donald game. Your defense which carried you all year. Wasn't ready for. Whatever it was plus rushing yards that girl Anson rebelled app. No shame arrives. The amazing part to me. Ran defense that wasn't doing a great job of stopping the run. For the most part held Zeke, Elliot and check. Durant's looked like the team we saw in the first half of the year. That's my take away from today. The two teams that everybody loved the Rams in achieves midway through the year reminded, you why are they got a chance to be there. I'd say super special over the next three weeks. We've got a lot to do here on the Saturday of the divisional Ryan the chiefs in the Rams the moving on the Cowboys going home. I want to hear from you. Eight seven seven thirty thirty seven sixty six sixty six jam packed football Sunday show will get the Sundays dance. We'll get the DJ LeMay you will get to cheer Lowry. So all that more stage after.

Over here. But I mean, Bruce Arians should be coaching. Right. I don't know players guy, and he's such an innovative coach do it. He just needs to right. I mean, there are a couple years. Here's the problem. Everybody now is bending over backwards because everyone thinks they need to hire Sean McVeigh, right? Thirty year old kid who that may be too old. There's gonna be a seventeen year old NFL head coach. But he's got great ideas and vote the players he can't vote, but he can tell you do Hauser's can organize a room. He's got a cool play card, and you know, he's got funny pop culture things as the play calls duty plays against the other. He plays for night against the other players on the team. They love as. We're happy to go out to the phone lines to keep it a little lighter here. Tekla music. Right news is so heavy. So let's bring in one of the best in the business at review reviewing the shows keeping his finger on the pulse of the Pittsburgh music. Beat matters Scott Mirvish from the PG Scott good afternoon. And welcome to Katie k radio how you man. Good. How are you doing doing well doing well? All right. I guess in two thousand eighteen u U Penn. Nice article here looking back on some of the the great stories in the Pittsburgh music scene in in the PG and a couple of them. Unfortunately are on a somber note. I would imagine they're probably numbers to add one Phyllis in on some of the I guess the year that was in Pittsburgh music. It was not boring. That's for sure. Right. Some of the big news was bad news. And that was you know, we went into a twenty eight team with three sort of internationally known hip, hop artists out of Pittsburgh being wiz Khalifa MAC air and Antony Wasco and by September we had lost two of them. So to me Wasco who listen up been coming her gangster rapper from the hill districts is about to go on tour with Khalifa. He was about China deal with paler gang, and he was shot in the street and hill district in June. And then of course in September. Yeah. I was I was at a concert out its pavilion. I get a a notice. Kev, seeing Bam Morris forty years to see van Morrison. I get a notification that MAC Miller had died. Didn't seem like female twenty six years old. If anyone who knew MacNamara, I mean, the guy which is bigger than life and just wanting to live people that you could never encounter and so for him to be gone like that it was just awful. But those were some of the bad stories there are a lot of good ones. What's the biggest story? I guess we could say coming out of the Pittsburgh music scene. Scott. Well mean, okay. So this today online was the the top local stories and then tomorrow, I'm going to post best concerts that year. So in terms of the national scene the concert scene with absolutely unbelievable. It was probably the best concert year. Pittsburgh that we've ever had and. We got so many hall of famers, so many righteous we have, you know, farewell shows from from Elton, John and Paul Simon at the metal band slayer. The arena was packed. We had four major stadium shows, including Taylor swift and usual Kenny Chesney festival type situation going on over there. And you know in in that one one weekend we had like in at the beginning of June. We had like six major concerts all happening on the same weekend. We'll house twenty nineteen then looking Scott. House twenty nineteen. I think it will be big in different ways. You know? We've already heard some of these names are coming through like Garth Brooks and Ozzy Osbourne and kiss. On their on their farewell tour so ladder to on their farewell tours. And so I think it would be big too. But I I don't John. Of course, it's coming back against another part of his farewell tour because he's doing he's three years fair about that's the way it's done. Now. Three years. I think it's the motley Crue model of saying goodbye, I think I think twenty nineteen that'd be huge as well..

"Steelers radio network with the call. Ben Roethlisberger threw two touchdown passes. Antonio Brown James Connor did his thing against going twice. The Steelers beat up on the Browns thirty three eighteen marquess ler. The Browns remain winless in Pittsburgh since two thousand three the Steelers overcame a slow start. But the game alternately followed a familiar script it did. And how far? Of a different path. These two teams have taken since we were in London and watch them fight towards a tie because I watch Cleveland's offense. And I'm nothing but concerned about Baker mayfield's physical safety behind a line. That has no concept of how to block for him where the Steelers, and it had a lot to do with the Steelers have stars the Browns have prospects. And Pittsburgh just leaned on the familiar faces of Antonio Brown. But also the second half usage in production of James Connor is one of the more fascinating halves. I've watched in years. He absolutely took Cleveland apart. And he can do it all and I don't I'm not getting into levian bell comparison game. It's just that. They've found they do a great job grooming these running backs, and if you're Todd hail you had to hate watching this because your job is is is now completely on the hot seat in that world. As is that entire coaching staffs where the player that you were with last year. Look like one of the best players on the field of any NFL game today. Yeah. What you described sounds like the Steelers running back Jerome Bettis berry foster. Bam Morris where you just let them take over in the second half. And just run it down the other teams throat. Exactly like how familiar is this all for the Browns in the Steelers the day starts with competing reports. Essentially, a bunch of different reports that agree on one thing which is that Todd Haley and Hugh Jackson aren't getting along. And depending on the results of this game. One of them could be fired. But not sure which which is a ridiculous ridiculous thing, which I don't doubt is true at all. But it's like, well, we'll figure out which one to fire after the game. And then you also have the Steelers who are looking at a division where I know the Bengals won. But they don't look as good to me right now. And we're rounding into mid season. And the Steelers look like the class of the division again. Yeah. We're a month a month ago. We were like oh, Ken, Ken, Pittsburgh handle all this drama. Every year. This happened is they do on it. I think they're they look fine to me. I think the. Just said, I think Todd Bowles survives at least they'll black Monday. I don't I still think Hughes in deep trouble in the here. And now week it's next week. Let's say let's say surprised as we knows you got the chiefs. Then the falcons then the by. I don't know if I see a wind coming before. Then the way they're playing right now. And that would be the time if you I mean, the guys three thirty six and one at a certain point, you just got to move on and get the spirit and the demons out with him this Brown season slipping away at what point do you say the Hugh thing didn't work we got to move onto the next step. I think what they tried to do was in the sake of continuity because they had such a history of you know. Flipping schemes every two seasons. It this is this is the wrong fit in it for me. It's not just on field. It is every autumn. There are in there's infighting. There's channels of gossip in whisper, and you're here again. And we've been here thousand times credit to pro football talk for this. That of all the coaches in NFL history. There is only one with a worse record than Hugh Jackson, Bert bell who went on to be the Commissioner for it went on the quiet don't think that's Hugh Jackson's destiny, but he went onto coined the phrase any given Sunday too. I think you could come up with a any given Sunday type on actually could see Hugh not being the Commissioner. But being one of those guys who ends up like working in the league office people like them, just he's like the head of operations or something like that. I don't think it's about not liking him. It's just this is not like he'll get an offense of coordinator job after this..

"That would have been the last piece from you played you played college has, and then you got undrafted with the Rams and you almost made it and the whole thing. What was your game? Like what running back remote I was trying to be, you know, I didn't. I couldn't break away, but I can. I can get three hours and clouded does. I could make a make a defendant amiss in the hole. So I was shifty. I kind of like the love, the love Bill used to love. Very Sanders. Growing up. Ricky Watters was was a loved him to his running style too. But also guys, like Bam Morris? Yeah. When they try means used to love guys catch the ball, and I was able to do that. I didn't do it a lot in college though, but I developed it like just practice every week, like being able to spread out there, go out there and and play a little slot as well. I wish how to develop those skills a little like a little sooner they'll before hit the NFL. I mean, I didn't even know how to really watch film yapper until I got to the league because Morehouse college and you gotta bring referees, you gotta bring you on tape glove, go post. So you had to like be resourceful. To me. But like NFL like our remember Steven Jackson was like, I wanted to get some more gloves. I was like, hey, but I got one. I got one glove all season in practice and games the same gloves. Like just get you knew paramount. Really. I can do that. You know, because I'm coming from two black college was that we don't have the resources. So you know that meaning that I just I came into a whole other world in and grew as a artists as an athlete, a little too late. I think I'm surprised bowel. Check that in. Bring you in. I wanna minute. He loves those smart, five, nine, nine back. Thank you. Kevin. Shame. To he was deep three, Danny Woodhead. Yeah, I was. I was big fan of his. He. He always has he tape all. Yes. We just took Sony Michelle from Georgia in the first round, like top of the second last year who's also that one is just can do it all? Yeah, he likes to you kept the gym for like four years. I did my best. I played in Germany, Germany, Duesseldorf, Ryan fire and play for delayed great. Dinnie green, you're, you're not a football league, which was amazing experience. He treated us like man. In fact, my first start in that league, I got player of the week was a buck twenty-five and a touchdown. My first start, so showed me and showed others that with the right opportunity. I, I was good enough and that that's all I need is like my Rudy moment if you will, because that was the only time I started, and and that was the most significant amount of planes. And we won the game two and I can just stand on that. I did that with Dennis Green has the coast. Yeah, forever had any trust me after that too. He talked to me more stuff like that. You know what was the blackout football scene like? So I never seen it's ever really been captured in like a documentary or that let me captured. I would love to. I would love to explore that documentary about the black college football experience, but the best way to describe it for the general mass population out there is everybody who witnessed the beyond say concert at Coachella. Yeah, that's the experience like exactly what is like the halftime show. People come for the halftime show. Not necessarily the game. So like coming for the ban which is fine. It's very live and interactive sort of environment. People are dancing and but the not really paying attention to the game the chain. If the other team scores, they chain of we score. But it's okay because we're all together. We didn't really win a lot of games either. So who's your aval Clark university? Right across the street? Yeah. Yeah. So we could beat them who is the best one who's the best at a they usually, they usually have pipeline of of NFL athletes, Albany state, whatever. They get all these d- transfers just go go for semester..

"The game. All right. The theme Dawson thing today in honor of ball, Brian's record-breaking, minus sixteen score, but we are looking at record breaking box office films. Another one, right? Brian's wheelhouse. We'll see. We began in nineteen thirty nine when ticket price. Three cents which this film justed for inflation. The biggest box office manageable all time film raked in almost four hundred million dollars in the thirties, which today would amount to three point four billion. Wow, nineteen. Thirty. Nine. Gone with the wind have never seen have never seen a great film. The problem has child or younger and getting into films. I would look at the video store. Backwards was VHS, and this was one of the double ones can't do that, but you never saw can edited for TV on PBS version. The broad strokes great documentary about the making of an also about the search for scarlet and little known fact backup to if Clark Gable wasn't able to be spunk from MGM to be in that film. That's who they were going to go with Todd bridges. A new thing about that. Bridges had no idea. Also, it's funny because as I was. Hearing Sean Connery, tell Barbara Walters, once in a while, you gotta put your hands on bitch, I said from his eighties interview, I think. I think there's a famous slap, I think Clark Gable does does some does some slap at in this in this movie. All right, it's tough. It's all yes. One one. This is on rotten tomatoes score. When did that start? Because that will the political correctness thing will really way into almost all. I'm sure the almost all be retroactive reviews reviews from years, nineteen forty, two to ten. It's a reason. It's a recent thing, computer thing. All right. They might have accumulated. I think they do. I think they do. All right. All right. Reviewed it today. Okay, I I'm locked in Dennis. How say you? I will say, jeez, how by the way I ever had more fun being the worst player in the history of planet, some Bam Morris in this than I am at gulp. Let's see. I'll say I really love the film. I find it interesting. Like William Cameron Menzies backdrops I'm going to say though a sixty. Only well already set one hundred. Perfect hundred. I want. That's a it's a great strategy. I think I I've no idea. I went ninety one. It's so old. I don't know what to do. I also at ninety one. All right, gone with the game already. Certified fresh at ninety, two percents. Scores impossible to be last time. Wait a minute. Firstly, if I run the table now. I don't mind. Oh, you can't? Why can't get four on the note. Dear. I don't give a damn. That was a big deal. Yeah. All right. Here we go next up is the biggest August opening of all time features. Joker performance slightly worse than he's ledgers and Jack Nicholson's dos marrow's two thousand sixteen suicide squad led a Will Smith and Margot. Robbie God. This is so good. This. I haven't seen this. It was considered critical bomb. Time. I can't believe him seen it. The. Didn't Jared Lido get ripped for this one. Wasn't he in shape or become in Cup, lean diarrhea IX. He was too much he insisted upon himself. It was a very put upon formats, the I. It was just a whole bunch of stuff going on, but it was one of those things where nonstop everything, but you didn't care twenty five minutes in all right. But we don't know film like this is forty six or fourteen. That's why you gotta do these ones not loved by the critics. And for that. Ago, thirty one, Dennis, you go first out. Sorry. Twenty you said either forty six or fourteen. I was just going to end mine sports team from forty six thirty two of your thirty one I can at least stay close. So I don't catch a big sucker punch as one my guess is it's overrated, but still rotten at fifty. Five thirty six suicide squad is rotten the twenty-seven. They did not like this film. It's about moving. It is rarely see something with this this many fine actors and a couple of points for the chick being tough..
