So during the overnight period with this system easterly wind we still could have some drizzle around the area maybe even see some patchy fog form. Not going to be widespread or all that dense throughout the area but you will notice it especially as you travel to those areas east of I -95 and down through southern Maryland that did have the bulk of the rain for today. The work after the Anacostia is in the right lane. Southbound DC 295 delays from Burroughs passing East Capitol Street. Inbound Suitland Parkway slows the delight at Stanton Road and again approaching Firth Sterling in 295. Inner loop in Maryland delays before 210 headed on to the Woodrow Wilson Bridge while the loop inner in Virginia has delays getting in through Annandale and again out of Tysons passing the toll road but a last those check lanes were open. Back in the district 6th Street at Rhode Island Avenue was a report of a wreck. The one on inbound Michigan Avenue near Monroe Street is cleared and northbound South Dakota Avenue before Rhode Island Avenue. The right lane had been blocked with the broken down bus. In Virginia eastbound 66 slows in Manassas and again from the Fairfax County Parkway toward Route 50. Northbound 95 heavy in Woodbridge and getting into Lorton but then it looks good into Springfield. They're working on clearing up the work zone that is under the one overpass as you go through pentagon city towards the 14th street bridge and as a result you've got arrow boards on the right side of the roadway saying go to the left but the cones are blocking the left lane so folks are mercifully slowing down there are people walking across the roadways there so please be careful as you headed northbound on 395 approaching the 14th bridge street plenty of lights there but just take your time getting through there as they clean up that work zone elsewhere the on Capitol Beltway that we're still getting by one lane to the right on at Ritchie Marlboro Road that's bridge work continues that at this hour northbound Baltimore -Washington Parkway the crash cleanup continues right just inside the Capitol way so as you're approaching the beltway it looks like it might be just about done but northbound you might see a couple of brake lights and the crash was on the left side probably cleared off over to the left shoulder now right before the interchange with the the over beltway on we did checked in the camera to see that the work zone is still happening on on the left lane of the inner loop right at the Dulles toll road in the perennial work zone there so again stay two to right as you cross over the toll road no problems on 66 east and westbound between Front Royal and the Roosevelt Bridge no problems 95 on between Springfield and Richmond no problems on the Bay Bridge between excuse me on Route 50 in between Queenstown Northeast Washington Joe Fox WTOP traffic and now let's go to seven news first alert meteorologist Mark Pena temperatures outside rather pleasant for this time of year we got 50s to near 60 degrees across the region also

Well, we have a lot of activity now on the Baltimore Washington Parkway first, let's start out inside the beltway. Northbound on the Baltimore Washington Parkway coming off of two 95 after two O one kenilworth avenue. That's a report of a wreck those delays are already back on northbound D.C. two 95 near bening road. Southbound slows coming from burrows headed past these capital street. Now also on the Parkway it is outside the beltway northbound delays beginning near one 97, headed to a point between one 97 and one 98. You're going to find the crash activity along the right side, so stay to the left to get around it. If you're on 95 in Maryland, this delay northbound is headed past one 75. This is a work crew taking the right lane, but we also have a delay southbound watch for a work crew that's after route 100 that may be taking a lane. This is also backing things up from westbound 100 onto southbound 95. Northbound two 70 after one 21 in clarksburg the right lane gets by the work those delays are growing headed toward one 21. You're also going to find on the beltway. We have all the work zones. The inner loop of the beltway slow from 29 all the way to New Hampshire avenue, the work in the left lane, outer loop delays after route four, headed past two 14 with the work in the right lane. The mobile crew in the local lanes on the Wilson bridge on the inner loop has the left lane block delays right now coming off of the bridge, passing route one in Alexandria, and then we have the delays in both directions headed toward Georgetown pike the work crew taking the right lane both ways. "Support our work. It is 2 -28. Traffic and weather on the 8th. Here's Joe Fox in the WTOP Traffic Center. Rich, taking a look at the camera at the incident, the work zone on the bridge work at Richie Marlborough Road on the Interloop in Maryland. Still the right lane getting you through, but just as volumes have dropped off into the mid -morning here, it is a much easier trip as you head south from Central Avenue. That doesn't mean there aren't still lots of flashing lights out there, but do be careful as you head through because there have been lots of crashes over the course of the evening and the early morning. So again, stay to the right as you head south from Central Avenue in Largo down towards Joint Base Andrews and you'll be in good shape. No problems on the Wilson Bridge. We cleared our earlier crash there. Possibly new crash northbound New Hampshire Avenue just before Eastern Avenue in Northeast DC. Use caution there. And we're still working on clearing the one approaching the Beltway. Looks like it should be just about wrapped up now as you head north between Adelphi Road and the Capital Beltway in Montgomery County headed out of Adelphi into White Oak. Elsewhere, no problems on 270, no problems on 95 or the Baltimore Washington Parkway in between the Beltways. The Bay Bridge is looking good. 95 South, you're in good shape. Did hear of some possible road work on 29 between Centerville and the Nasus Battlefield. They might be alternating traffic there west of 66, so go ahead and use 66 as your alternate headed in between Centerville, Manassas and Gainesville. A couple minor construction zones on 66, but just taking one lane out of four so nobody really even notices as you're headed with these light volumes tonight. 95, no problems all the way down to Richmond. 7-year-old girl shot on BW Parkway, airlifted to hospital, Washington DC
