Why Do You Need Privacy?
"Why do you need privacy? Orwell wrote about this expensively in 1984. If you can not have privacy you are not free. The state is able to go through your private musings. At that point, they're able to examine your consciousness. You can not be a free people without privacy. And for the federal government to be able to come in 270 man hours with 30 FBI agents into Mar-a-Lago and occupy Mar-a-Lago because of a paperwork dispute is outrageous. Now we learned what was in the warrant Friday, but the warrant isn't very telling what we demand is the affidavit. What did you tell the judge as it's so important that it can't wait that we have to go to Mar-a-Lago this very instant? Was Donald Trump constructing a dirty bomb in the Donald J Trump presidential ballroom? Was Donald Trump sex trafficking children through Mar-a-Lago? Well, they never raided Jeffrey Epstein's home for that or Bill Clinton's home, who's Donald Trump helping foreign cartels or the Iranian revolutionary guard. No, they said that Donald Trump had paperwork that he was supposed to return to the national archives. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton widespread destroyed them, Barack Obama has boxes of national archive records at Martha's Vineyard. No, no, no, no. We know what this was. This was a shot across the bow. This was a shock and awe campaign to show you that you are a subject, not a citizen.
Who Is the Sovereign in America?
"Is the sovereign in America? It's supposed to be us. That's why they hate Trump. Is that the people were actually sovereign for the first time in a while? No, no, no. And by the way, it's not Joe Biden who is actually sovereign is not the presidency. It's the IRA's, the independent regulatory agencies. That's why they needed to add 87,000 new IRS agents. That's why the FBI is so important. Who runs the country? The national security apparatus runs the country. The CIA who Republicans generously fund by giving them more money to go to Ukraine. The FBI who Republicans do not cut their funding of. The IRS, the EPA, this fourth branch of government, the unelected unknown, unchecked power, and yesterday was nothing more than a show off contest for the fourth branch of government. They wanted the flex their muscles like Arnold Schwarzenegger at a bodybuilding contest in the 1980s. Look how powerful we are. We are the sovereign. We are supreme at the FBI. Fidelity bravery and integrity are the three values of the FBI. No, no, no. It's force. Done brutally in your face. That's what the FBI stands for. So why now? There's two answers to that. But again, we must reestablish who is. The sovereign. It's no longer you and me. That's the structure of the constitution. That's the intent. The national security apparatus runs the country. So why do they have to raid Mar-a-Lago? Now, over a national archives dispute, again, you raid people's homes if you think evidence is imminently going to be destroyed and you could prove to a judge because of that or the other reason you read somebody's home or you read somebody's business if you think there is a crime that is going to be committed at that moment. For example, that did Donald Trump have a thermonuclear weapon in the Donald J Trump ballroom at Mar-a-Lago that he intended to use against an airport,

Charlie Kirk Hosts Meet-and-Greet on Own Dime After Clemson Denies Permits
"You know, our family, our Salem family includes great great talent like Charlie Kirk, Charlie had a big event here in the South Carolina area last night, quick backstory. Charlie was invite, I guess his turning point USA group had an event at Clemson university, the way that works, a group of Clemson typically colleges a university's public schools public universities have to go through a process and they invite organizations like turning point to campus and the left doesn't want to let kids hear Charlie Kirk's point of view. Conservatives aren't allowed to be in the public arena, according to the left. You know, the tolerant left. So Charlie had a great event last night, and the radio station put together a little meet and greet before the event. And Charlie was all excited about meeting 50 or 60 of advertisers for the station for 94 5 the answer Joey Hutch in the morning guy gonna be there going to be a big event. The last minute can't have an event because the right permits weren't filed wink wink. We don't have security wink wink. So Charlie Kirk took responsibility for booking a ballroom at the hotel right down the street, I guess, from little John. On Charlie's own dime, Charlie made it happen, and there was a great meet and greet Joey told me it was a terrific event last night. Had a terrific engagement with people, so kudos to Charlie and his team for going the extra mile. I know pat Kelly, the general manager here at the radio station Joey and the whole team was just they were all just thrilled with the way it went. And I hope you were too if you had a chance to see Charlie and hear him

"May be in the waning days of summer. But they're still plenty to do and as we do most fridays. We are getting some recommendations for arts and culture events. This weekend brendan kiley. Covers arts and culture for the seattle times. Brendan welcome back. Hi thanks so much for having great to have you okay. Your first pick is for a campy lounge show we like camps and we like lounge so tell us more about this right so it's called. Mrs pacman breakout. It's at the west hall of the century ballroom on capitol hill and it runs Thursday through sunday and The character is based on the iconic eighties video game character. Miss pacman by this fantastic comedy actor. Scott shoemaker who anthropomorphized her But made her sort of a bitter and angry trainwreck. Oh that's hilarious brennan. I used to ride miss pacman for like forty five minutes on a single quarter. I'm giving myself away there. But i want i which she can't be a train wreck. She's miss pacman. Well i'm impressed by your video. Game skills But yeah the ideas that she peaks in the eighties and has been cratering ever since and now. She's trying to resuscitate her career as a lounge act. But she's a mess you know she sings. She dances sometimes begrudgingly. But what she really wants to do. Is tell us confessional stories about her divorce in her pill problems her affairs her wreckage and there is a dose of schadenfreude in there which makes it feel like a bit of a guilty pleasure but his entertaining is that is. There's something else going on here. Who was all about cruelty and making fun of her. The show wouldn't work You know there's something relatable about her and her frustration with the world. I think if you ever feel like your life has been one long blooper reel or people aren't taking you seriously as you like. You have a friend in miss pacman.
Newt Gingrich Rips Into Biden for Surrendering to the Taliban
"Here's newt gingrich. The former speaker of the house said something so profound that i hope it rings in the ears of every american as we now are going to see this wall to wall reaction worldwide over evidently multiple terror attacks involving fatalities and injuries with americans stranded in afghanistan. Here was newt's assessment. His life is that well. His view of life is that he's a historic figure. Getting us out of afghanistan. And then just just look at the harshness of their attitudes look at their whole town Looking at how stupid. This whole process is the. You can't assume that this happened by accident. They gave up ballroom. Which was the key to military power in the region voluntarily. I mean the. The afghan taliban was not going to capture. It wasn't possible. We surrendered. And i think if you say that he's just say the words biden surrendered to the taliban and now we're working out the surrender process. You understand exactly what's going
How Are the Latinx Community Represented on TV
"Latino and latina representation in film and television is an age old conversation topic and despite some recent milestones. The numbers are still pretty disappointing. According to a recent study by the la times latinos and latinas are underrepresented across all aspects of television and film productions despite making up nearly twenty percent of the us population that dino's and latina's constitute only six percent of main cast members less than nine percent of writers seven percent of directors and six percent of senior executives. The presence of african and indigenous latinos in the industry is even smaller but statistics can only tell us so much how latino individuals and communities are portrayed. Onscreen is another part of the conversation. That's why today we're taking you behind the scenes with two award winning latino creators were breaking stereotypes about how our communities are depicted on television. Stephen canals and linda evatt charges. My name is steven canals. I am co-creator executive producer writer and director of the f. Extra series pose. The category is hosed centers. The black and latin queer and trans individuals who are part of the new york city. The Trauma and Grief of Being a Reporter
"I remember being in New York for 9 11 and I was actually down at ground zero when the American Express limited to our building was in danger of collapsing. And again things that you remember orange buckets arriving by the truckload. And I turned to one of the guys who were emergency crews who was next to it says that we're guiding us through the site. And I said what are the buckets for? And he said body parts. I know it. Yeah. And it was just like oh my God. And that's the aim for these people. And again you know you just think about each one of those buckets is a body or a person and it's a family and that's a life. The worst pieces of somebody are part of somebody. Yeah if you're lucky man. And so you take that with you. And then Jerusalem was a really tough geek way for a while. I mean I remember I think there's like 6 or 7 suicide bombings in one month. Right. That was the beginning of a big fan of the second. And unless you've lived through it you don't know what that's like. You can guess and you can try and you can be sympathetic and empathetic. But you don't know what that's like unless you're living there. Well you know I was living there and I am living there but I didn't see it up close. I had I had this tremendous I don't know what streak of luck that a lot of these things went off the day after I had been like right there. Right. It's terrifying. But you saw an Italian from the inside. You were at the tongue do you want to talk about that? For some reason we were the first cruise air and others had taken a long time to follow. And we managed to actually get inside the ballroom with this happen because it was to say to me of a Passover if people remember this and it was at that seaside hotel in natanya. And we were actually doing live shots walking through this ballroom that what had happened is because of the force of the explosion it set off the fire alarms. So the rumored flooded to the extent. And so basically we were sloshing around a mixture of water and blood and brains and flesh and everything that was like that was left over from the suicide bombing. There were bits of people skull still embedded. In the ceiling above us it was always left of it. And what had happened and this is what happens in television is that the producers in New York and D.C. though we saw the live shot that we had done for one of the early morning shows and the producers and donate this wrong way it's just how we talk and that's great TV. And TV horrendous but I know what you mean. Let's do it again. And so I had to do this thing over and over and over again walking through the blood. And like just every hour almost don't stop. And you know you kind of leave that thinking what the hell am I doing? Exactly. What that life I did with titania is that it actually for the first time on live television showed the world
Sara Carter Says President Trump Shook up Washington
"I think what President Trump was able to do for the American public was actually by being the outsider was actually so. The corruption within within the bubble of Washington, D. C. And he did so by rattling their cages, right? I mean Washington, I mean, would literally shaken in its boots. When Trump became president. Remember that people were crying on election? Not any All of these journalists were alive. I was getting emails from people. Friends of my Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah, People were like you'll never believe what's going on behind the scenes. Panic has totally broken out behind the scenes. You know, it's great to see. Oh, awesome. Yeah, It was so awesome. I remember being in New York, you know? At the president's, um, celebration party, which you know, I think no one expected, uh, him to, you Know, win. And so I remember everybody was leaving to the Javits Center because all of these reporters except for the ones that were had to cover President Trump and I remember again how bummed out. They all were right. Like, Oh, man, we got to be here and Hillary is going to win. Hillary's going to win. Remember seeing their faces. And just watching the tears, flow and not of happiness. But when President Trump and his family walked out, Pennsylvania's called Wisconsin's called, You Know, We're standing in there in the hotel and look at the Hyatt. I'm trying to remember. I'm not really that good with that with that, remember where we're at in the ballroom that I just can't remember the name but I remember at the party at the Victory party. And I was just stunned. I'm like, Wait a minute. What's going on here? Because I've never seen this as a journalist

Well let's hear from her about one of those difficulties she calls it the book signing that wasn't so here's katie. Come back at the interruptus up. My name is katie. Oregon's Sedona Prince calls out NCAA for sexism due to weight room disparity
"Sedona prince who is a women's basketball player has had a video go viral and social media in this video. She shows the weight room that the. Ncaa is set up for the men's tournament in indianapolis then. She shows the weight rack that the ncaa has set up for the women's tournament in san antonio the men have entire spread complete with multiple fitness machines spread out over an entire ballroom floor. The women have one rack of dumbbell weights and a mat. Yep even though they too had a ballroom floor when the ncaa was asked about this they said it was a space issue and they had no room to set up an elaborate weight room for women but prints shows an entire empty ballroom that they obviously have used. Is this story something or nothing. Oh it's absolutely something. The double should be ashamed of itself. The people that set up the facilities should be ashamed. If you look at the men's training facility. i mean it's a full-on weight training facility and for the women's just this one little rack. Its like your home gym for an entire women's basketball team. Yeah i mean. I think this is the sort of equity and good for this player. I forget what team the players. I wasn't sure either but sedona prince's her name mace. I actually think not only. You're right double down on what you said. I think this could cause major fractures in the way. The ncaa is treated by the government. They're pretty a nonprofit. That gets tax. Breaks and everything else. If i was a female senator or female congressman and they don't fix this overnight. I mean overnight. I would take away some of their funding. I would take away. Some of their tax breaks this is. This violates title this. This cannot be legal based on title nine.
How To Navigate The Dance Of Life
"I'll start out this podcast. Episode with a quote from maya angelo. She says everything in the universe has rhythm. everything dances. Been thinking a lot about dance this week. Perhaps first and foremost because dance is a very integral part of my life. My wife owns a dance studio. My kids all dance and dance classes and this week were preparing for dance competitions and perhaps some of you may know this some of you may not but dance was a a very important part of my life in college I was a ballroom dancer. A competitive ballroom dancer and i competed with the team and we competed worldwide competitions in the uk. i've traveled all throughout europe and all throughout australia. Doing tours with ballroom dance. So that's a very fun stage and part of my life. And i wanna tie this into a couple of buddhist concepts with this podcast episode. Now you need to know. I know some of you may be listening to this thinking. I am terrified to go out and dance. I have two left feet. Or i would never wanna be out on the dance floor. That's exactly how i was growing up. I was always afraid to go out and dance and high school specifically. I was deathly afraid to go out onto the dance floor. But i think more accurately. It's that i was afraid to look like a full. Who doesn't know what he's doing. And i think i was afraid to look like a fool because that went against the story that i had of myself. Which is the story is that i am someone who does know what they're doing ballroom changed all that later in life in college when i first moved to utah. I the very first night. Actually that i arrived in utah. I went to An elementary school ballroom presentation. The family that i had moved in with their daughter was was Doing dance ballroom. And i saw a couple doing a dance and i was mesmerized. A first and foremost it was. It's really cool. Look in the second. I remember thinking. Where can i meet. The the kind of girls that do this kind of dance was just entering college. I wanted to meet people. And i realized by this and at the same time quite intimidated because again i i've always been afraid to dance so i i signed up for ballroom classes in college. And that's the that's pretty much it. That was the start of a new phase all throughout college. I danced and i ended up eventually being on scholarship for dancing and being able to tour the world. Thanks to ballroom dance so ballroom Is is a a fun part of my past on part of my memory. And here's here's the secret. I'm going to let you in on the secret with ballroom in ballroom dance. You memorize the steps so for me to memorize the steps. Once i had a pretty wide a pretty vast catalogue of steps that i could do. Then you just choreograph a dance routine based on the steps that you know. So pretty quickly. I was able to work my way up to the point where i was dancing competitively but i was never out there. Having to rely on my creativity to come up with dance moves now. These were choreographed routines whether it was Just with my partner competing or as a team doing synchronized choreographed dance steps. So i think. That's why i enjoyed it so much because i didn't have to look like i didn't know what i was doing. All i add to do is memorize all these routines and all these dance steps and then i would look like i really knew what i was doing. So that's that's my experience with dance in college. That's actually how i met. My wife was through our circles of friends in throughout the ballroom. Dance stage of my life. Okay so enough of that. When i think about life. I think about dance and music because it seems that many of us go through life thinking that happiness or contentment. Perhaps is a better word is something that we're always going to achieve tomorrow not today. It's always the possibility that something. I will experience tomorrow or at some future date but as we all know tomorrow never comes. We spend our whole lives waiting for life to start. Unfortunately we've been conditioned to search for happiness contentment as if it was something that's out there somewhere else it's not here and it's certainly not now it's something that we've been conditioned in a way that we we no longer recognize the relationship that contentment has to the here and now and the contentment and joy that we seek. It's quite frankly hidden in plain sight often right in front of our noses

He lived as a as a very quiet and reserved person because of what he experienced he witnessed some horrible things firsthand and also realized that he was a part of it after the fact and so therefore ray was told by his handlers. That not to repeat anything that he had seen or heard or he would Join malcolm therefore for forty six years. Ray separated himself from the family and In fear that he will put us in danger out rey lived alone many years and he Finally in his final years when he realized that he was his cancer was a reoccurring. James West on invention and inclusion in science
"James west was born in nineteen thirty one and grew up in prince edward county virginia in before we dove into his research and work as a mentor. I wanted to know more about little kid. Jim and his relationship to science the desire to know how things work and why they were was my biggest motivator and i Completely forgot about this on purpose. But i took my grandfather's pocket watch support hundred and five pieces zenit. But i couldn't get it back together which resulted in rather severe punishment but it didn't tear my desire to know and understand how things work and so i was told that i could only take things apart that weren't working and that was the wrong thing. Say to me. Because if i could break it i did so i could get it. Why caesar now you're you're breaking stuff you're like look it doesn't work so right. Okay i mean were you. Were your parents. Supportive of your interest in in engineering and science absolutely not i was going to be the doctrine brother the data stove. I swear versa. They didn't care which would went. Only that it went in one of those two directions and When i told my father that i was changing my major from biology to physics He introduced me to two black men who have. Phd's and chemistry that were working in the post office score poem order on the railroad because the best job they could get was teaching at high school. And that didn't pay enough to support their families and he thought that i was well on the way to becoming one of them because You could be a preach at teacher lawyer doctor. But that was about it and terms of professions or black people and prince edward county virginia but in the face of all that jim stuck with it he graduated from temple university with a degree in physics and then went on to work at bell. Labs for more than forty years and his big invention with gearhart. The foil electric microphone didn't come from trying to solve one specific problem. I didn't. I don't think sat down and looks invent a better microphone. That was not the motivation at all. The motivation was why does nature behave in the way that it does. And and if i can understand that then how can i apply my knowledge to improving or to make things work better or lasts longer in this case. Oh to increase lifetime right okay. So so mu- because my understanding of this gym and you can. You can grade me. And i'm i'm worried about my grade but so basically this is really basic but microphone convert sound into an electrical signal right and it needs power to do that and you. Youtube found a material that you could basically be kind of permanently so you know basically permanently charge so instead of like necessarily needing an extra battery in there you know. You've you've got it without that. And that material that you found was essentially teflon foil urinate less. Okay okay. well now. That i've got my a plus in science. Let's let's talk. Let's talk more about bringing people new stem the thing. It's the thing that you're passionate about thinking that i'm passionate about so you know in your experience what works or if you feel like it's more importantly what doesn't when you're trying to bring people into snap well i think honesty is is The the very important role. It's not all roses so we get some thorns to nature. Doesn't always behaving the way that you you'd think it should. And and i think honesty's important because you want to succeed and and if you know that nature is not always going to work the way you'd think it works this gives you the fortitude to continue to your investigation will continue looking for a solution to a particular problem. In other words. There are two sides stored the glory side. And then there's the the grunge side but even more important science and technology got us to where we are and it's the only thing that's going get us further or out of whatever difficulty that we have a global warming all these problems. We need more diverse teen stem. diversity has been shown to be have an advantage. I used to worry about brainstorming sessions. Where all the white guys over here. And i was over ear but guess what solution west somewhere in between. And this is what. I learned that. Even though i taken same courses you know the same disciplines. I think differently as the black man than white males to yeah but this diversification is what makes this country great and what is very disturbing is that were not taking full advantage of our natural resources in human beings that can work and be productive in the field and this is the reason that i continue to push to make it available in. Jim's been pushing for a long time you can trace his efforts back to nineteen seventy at bell labs. Winning helped form the association of black laboratory employees all the way to jim's work today with his graduate students at johns hopkins university and nonprofit called the end genuity project. They offer math and science programs to students in baltimore public schools. Jim told me a story about joining their board of directors. Back in two thousand fourteen. When when i was asked if i would be interested in joining booed i wanted to know what the program's really all about and what i found. Was that the majority of students in the program mayhem and that. This did not represent the demographics of the city of ballroom. So i said looking. Put me on the board. But i'm going to make some changes. I am a change agent here because this does not represent city baltimore and not enough black people and women in the scrotum but today the program is eighty percent underrepresented naarden winning big shift. Not only that are the last time i looked two years ago. We graduated one hundred students all of them. Fellowships and scholarships seven were admitted to johns hopkins. And by the way these changes were made without ever touching the requirements for the permanent. Okay so what does this say to you. The says that they're talented people out there that we're not taking advantage if we can make that kind of change in the city of baltimore within a finite number of years with this is certainly an indication to me that there are underrepresented minority and women who are in love with science and really really look for opportunities to get in and and genuity project made that offer and they they took us up on it and i'm so glad they did. Okay so jim. I hope you don't mind me sharing this. You just tell me if you don't want it in the episode but by the time this interview comes out you will of turned ninety congrats birthday. Well thank you. So what's your advice for young scientists for young inventors who may be see themselves in you. What advice would you give them. Well there's so many things that i can think of. But i but more importantly is to follow your star you know. I'm pretty sure that whoever made me said make a scientist and a not fulfill that responsibility us. Oh i think that the happy people those people that are doing what they love to do. And if it science gray but in many cases you don't know whether it science not because you haven't had the exposure right that would tell you whether the something you think you would be interested in doing so Museums of books on and on and on learn. Leslie tell in town has like teeth and puszta but doesn't fight and also every time we see ogm on free Certain he's proportions different. Yeah like he's head is consistently changing inside consists hale who's the easiest to get on model the smallest and we can show off how how incredible the the new leader of the team is now that it's apparently not even a chosen child. It's it's just tail mon. Who is the only person who actually remembers the plot. Yeah so av who you picking your favorite character. I should pick coach row by going to pick the giant. You know what. That's because every episode whenever you both got topic so like giant pillar of like i'm i like that a little worse i would have done it. That is fair that is there. Do we know why the jessica alaimo a giant pillar of light was always there. No if they said it it formed after two very powerful digital finding. Oh the thing that has nothing to do with me on this things. Just here okay. Sometimes teach them on. Just fight not for good versus evil. Okay i just forgot that that formed the pillar of light. I just thought. That's what formed the fossils. I have no idea how they of that doesn't hold up either did she. That's some physics. We're just reinventing by week and it'll be fine that's fine rating how we writing this episode. I watched this episode and thought that rated too high but judging by the discussion. I think that my writing was actually fairly accurate. I gave it a three point five. Yeah i'm going to go to forty two point five okay. Yep i'm running in the two point five eighty four. that's it a forest good and that means it equals out the overall ranking. So i'm here for that Eight that means that the school is ten. What else got a ten episode. Thirteen got a ten episode. Thirteen was gruden on evolution episode. And i think this episode was better than that i think. I don't wanna get soda full. I think i was wrong. I must have really liked something in that episode anyway so that means in our overall ranking what do people say that this episode was better than episode thirteen or worse..

"That and we certainly have a long conversation while touchy is surrounded by by bugs. Going to hate no series. Leave me behind. i'm seriously proud of you. Know really this is important. You need to know this. Yeah long conversation between the fat that that was very cute. Little footage of taichi. Battling anything before we just stopped combat to have this conversation that i said physics into seventeen minutes left kosher. Said we've got twenty minutes last. Time is ever maybe evolution's equator. The oakland won evolution. Everyone else's evolutions real time. But the i don't know quicker in real life times anyway time time. On sept any other lines are tired of times. Stop it like third or fourth time. We've done it and suck not is truly speed. Never megamall this time. It was no or lot modern this episode so it was not very good. That is true a lot one being there is like a sign of a good plot and so as a plot plot. One hasn't shown up yet. Just how subplot one. Time me too. Think portland shows up once in the original only. Yeah i liked. And i liked the plot anyway speaking of characters that we like family. He's mullah akin to a low line the struck by lightning and coming down the made to get one even flinched real. Every episode gruden on burst into flames and seora is fine so i'm fine with being electrocuted. And shrugging it off just shy of bertram of being hit by lightning and just doing nothing we had like. Do you like everyone. Attack it into middle graham on wall tied. She was riding metal game against the all shot into the mouth while ty was there and he just went gras. I apologize. I little down this week more than maybe the episode deserves but god this week sucked and sometimes it be that way this week the week this week and the episode. Yeah yeah the rest of my life has been terrible this week and also did you was only okay. Yeah but. I hope that you're going to pick a character that's Character and not list concept as written who's best rainforest to pick it. No i think by law we onto favorite characters. Yeah sure okay. Mine was kosher. Roy because it costs was tied. She had no character. End kosher actually had a character and also floated through spicing galaxy brian. So i'm just going to pick kosher av. Do you know who you were picking. Quinn's pick i. i can't look quaint. I guess tale mon for being the best animated and kind of snarky and acknowledging that the that that would just talking about random things through to chekhov's gun evolutions again. Yeah and also why tell one always like consistently the best animated because his and we don't have to animate truth here this way but you think. Ugh amman is easy to draw. That's what made that had amazing. Who costings if you can do all of those things online. You would definitely do them like you sleep. Download cards called hooper. i think also i described yuba also describe described disturbed. Doing already come with a. I described the the dot net as well anyway. Anyway so back to the episode kosher sees that the pill formed after battle between some huge digital and the top of the pillar is a singularity and it's outside the digital. It's breaking into the network pont and that's how they can communicate to the human world and i'm sitting here going all. This would be a really great like way that they can go back to the human world when they need to go back at the end of the season so i wonder if this pillow will ever be relevant again man kind of just yet home but i felt like you. Won't they just took them home like i'm mad that we haven't eaten at burger jack. Also bring me a burger anthony. Why have you not bought me a pirker yet. Everett's does exist. Yeah pets like three in the morning and there's a blizzard to anyone forgot the blizzards exist. Yeah actually against activision blizzard's i was gonna say it's a dairy queen but you know who we hung hungry. Jack's has storms anyway. What made me has just with all the money that she has from the fight club. She's just opened up a baggage. Jack like digital world franchise and that's like a future job in this universe works with her future things being a chef. If she just show world slash for that would be. How would that that would be the best. Everything to do with. Oakland's like i just and then and then she gets on instead of like so much evolution to fit the circumstances it's perfect. We wrote the season of ditching hot. You're welcome and she's just she's in the high school gang and she's got like you know the the mas gone like step on yet like that's the best anyway bill. Yes pillar law the pillar of light in the room Yes so cochrane says that the data that is distorted by digital and can also be fixed by it and then explain how we're going to divert the satellite rather than destroying them. And i know that must have been thinking about like service. Because i wrote i s instead of i s s so many times in my notes so this any twenty minutes until the is pastas through the sniper point. Thanks i meant the iss. Anyway so we signed up. They could shoot. Yeah and we're going to devote a few minutes To have gone bowling to graham on. And then cochrane says he'll support him. And then i thought this point would get ten to one evolving but instead it's just graham onto middle ground which takes up a minute of their time and then we've got be on pat him on and tend to moan bowling quickly beams of light and then coach..

"Until i realized what what was said. Now i remember every so often the end. Sometimes i found myself saying. Please tell me we are going to the of memory because due to a small. We're still doing this. Not only in terms of this episode but also how many years. I've heard you talk about this joke. It's just kind of adorable. It makes me. I don't know why it just puts a smile on my face like the japanese version of that was yeah well anyway onto the actual episode. We have kushner reunited with touchy and the others finally and we get children looking at fossils end. I don't a rag on the animation too much because it wasn't that bad this time the vehemence head looks we like the the the sort of almost spike sort of plummet soda feathers. Going advocate head seem a lot like less out and malek suck suck team and it just threw me off a bit but it was. It's bailey it's bailey thing that it just something i noticed. Anyway we have. How touchy touchy town. Explains that had digital on his fight over good and evil but for survival and pro pride and that's like a really interesting concept. That would just sort of throwing him. Mainly we've lost over this so many times but we are just doing we're going to do alternate evolutions based on whatever the situation calls for. So i'm expecting. We're gonna get a lot of one offs and i'm super here. Which is great. I'm super here for that. Because guess what it's also different to a lot of other things with heading digital anime. It's following the virtual pets almost how we have like all sometimes we'll get this evolution but other times get the civilization and its coup like. It's just it's just a nice sort of thing to throw in there. And then i just in general really like how the concept of evolution is touched on this as like an entire concept like we found fossils. And i'm kind of worried that this whole thing will never be relevant again..

We actually have a small pool that a lot of people like to utilize for photo ops for weddings and even for corporate events. A lot of corporate clients like to sit out there poolside and set up come to reception. In the evenings when the weather is nice are we're home room features a Old school, which we converted into a dance floor covered with Lexie. It's actually it's it's reinforced. We've driven a car over it to test it out, and a lot of folks like to utilize that as the dance floor for their events, specifically buddies. So after Nan Shil. We've hosted all sorts of a veteran social events for the parties, weddings and corporate events. We've done huge Gallas. We host a lot of nonprofit associations, lot of catering and events associations here in Las Vegas as well, So there's a lot of options for us to do events there. For catering services at the mansion. We do work with a lot of preferred vendors, depending on what you're looking for. There's always a way to customize your food menu options for your clients and their Your needs. At 1954 when there are specific specialty. Concerts or gala specifically where this 21 over there are special permitting required by the city. "But now it's taken on a new dimension. And i just can't i can't i can't i can't agree we ask. You made the right choice. I don't know if the timing was this way in real life but show They showed them breaking up right before. Blackpool like this. Yeah competition right. I don't understand why they wouldn't have just done that. One more right. Yeah they were talking about how much they wanted to win it and then they just decided not to do it at all. Also it was like it was like a divorce where you can no longer see your mutual friends anymore. They they were gone from the show. That was it. Didn't go back to zigzag. Apparently neither one of them. They didn't go to the big holiday party. They were just and we never saw him so that was kind of sad. Because i enjoyed them. Yeah i also have to once again. Protest it's too late because they're not making these anymore. But i do not approve of storylines in which you see jack floating around in the background. But we're supposed to forget. We know him and root for other people. This is not right. they're making a big thing. It's arjun and it's our law. Which ones will win and like jackass is right there. What is doing however when arjun did win. Yarden izzy did win. Jack was thrilled. Like an emily up and down and it was super cute. Now door was in the background. It was very sweet. Yes i would have liked to been in the foreground because it was adorable that yes we catch glimpses and yes. Emily and jaguar both thrilled for them. And it was so fun. And easy as delightful. She is she's her reaction so cute and and arjun is just adorable in a very good dancer and if they lose him to cricket it will be a sad thing they really. They really made that a major platform shoes for dress up day at school dancing or curriculum out busy. They're taking they're talking. What if you choose something else. That's it we're dancing. It's like it's jus- career day at the school right as not like they're shipping them off to cricket school after this season like i mean no one's asked will. This is a whatever lifelong commitment right. Now whatever costume you pick this day man that's it for the rest of your life So pick carefully. I gotta think the mothers looking at them in the cricket going. Do you know how much money. I'm spending on downs lessons. She seems she seems cool. She seems to enjoy it so And when they had a christmas party that the last episode once again with a party with beefcake guys from the gym although this time they didn't get much mentioned that were kind of their yes And there was some hold trumped up competition which is just seemed to be an excuse to put people in stupid costumes. Well as we know. Warren is the most extra of yes. I knew i need snow machine. I need live reindeer. Chinese people dressed up like christmas crackers. I particularly in that last episode just sort of fell a little bit for or who would always seemed sort of icy to me before and just the the one girls dance partner and not romantic interest. I think but he in this episode. He kind of had a son-in-law vibe. You know definitely your father-in-law is just..

Make sure it's appropriate for a big giant moon raw. Well i had never watched the voice before. I think the way we did it which is to come in late. Once they were already wittling people down is the way to do it. Yeah i don't think. I would want it to go through a whole bunch of auditions. 'cause the coaches have a really really cute stick but you only yeah it has. It has a shelf life. And i don't think i would have wanted another. I think i had just enough of it. Wouldn't really want another five or ten weeks or however long this thing went right you know i felt like i just had just. The right amount was fun and it was mostly enjoyable. Yeah and you can't blame. Nbc for milking it as much as you may want to. It's hard to produce things right now. Yeah so speaking of saying goodbye. Oh we also came to the end of the second season of baby ballroom which i am. Sad to learn is the last existing seat season of baby ballroom whether there will be more. I do not know. Probably not trying to but i for some reason thought there was a third season and so was wondering what these tiny little dancers would be up to in another year but we shall not know unless we go on instagram and look them up and see how much they have grown up and how much make emily now wears. Slama it but but them in a different could there be a different class for them. They're being Competition could we not put these up against jack on check is little bit older and every bit as yes and also very cute with his partner. Yes yes his partner also adorable. Yes and argentina's partner adorable as well. There was a sufficiency of adorable nece in that age group parade. They did not need to add to it. They really did. Not and now. I'm all kinds of conflict. Because how can you hate on the little teeny tiny. Cute little little baby dancers. I don't hate them but you know they just need to not. We just want to lose. I mean i guess. Like yes. I i enjoy their mothers. A great deal to yeah and i could probably do. I mean the girl couple aggressive. Olivia sign but yeah. I don't really need them either. i'm sorry at. They have gotten a lot of screen time. i'm. I'm cool. With checking in on them. And i thought their storyline was worthwhile for the dress situation. That's true where the moms really wanted. One thing in warren really wanted something else and of course he's gonna get an of course he's right for the trashy dance book. You gotta have the fringe in the cutouts the cleavage and all that stuff. But if you're the mom it's like couldn't they just wear those nice black dresses and we'll put sparkly belts on them. This was once again escape. Mom moments i worked out. The one they came up with was not trash not too much better than the first s but the girls also looked like you know it's that but they're the same ages like the mia's right. Yeah twelve or thirteen. I think once twelve months thirteen may be and they seem to have no discomfort whatsoever. Dressing it up. No not at all. These girls look like you know it's like they weren't. My mother wants us to be all modest but we wanna be flashing like they weren't they. Were not comfortable either. Which is the mothers made that point when speaking of discomfort. How in the world did they sleep with their hair. Yeah into those buns and curls and that was i was very surprised when they said you know it's the night before and we are going to work on the hair i don ago meant. We're gonna practice it you know we're gonna try it out and then we're gonna do it again in the morning. No listen asleep sitting up gas. I i mean how did they sleep in. How did it not just all get ruined exactly. Yeah so many complicated. Things might be glad my children's do this. There's no way my daughter could have slept. In the the ben's that she used to have the yeah and then also newbies on on these episodes. Were the couple mismatched in high. Yes and i feel so bad for that chick has honey on. "Talk about parenting issues. But once a week terry. And i'd like to get together to discuss tv movies books and other entertainment topics because it's nice to talk about something other than parenting for change so this week. We are switching up. Our reality show watches a little bit. We are continuing with baby ballroom but trading dancing with the stars for the voice all right so the minute. Dancing with the stars was over quickly. Pivoted to the voice Because progress already in progress. I had watched some of the previous episodes. Not all of them Because of the way it is structured. As i mentioned on a roundabout roundup a couple of weeks ago. I have a rooting interest and his name. Is john holiday. He is on team. John legend so he is a teacher at neighboring university. Here and Some friends of ours are students of his. So i watched the blind edition that he was in and then So the way the show works they had five episodes of blind auditions. So i watched one and that's always a fun one though because they were also surprised when they turned around. Yes and this is the like the only thing i knew about the voice basically before i started watching it. Was this whole thing. Where the the judge. The coaches are sitting with their chairs backward. So they don't see the person singing And they just listen and then if they're interested in that person they turn the chair around so so yes so. That's that's where i came in. 'cause that's the that's the only thing and so then. The the blind additions were followed by the battles. We're they had two people from each team meet coaches team. Yeah singing duet together and then look at. The coach had to pick one. Oh goodness to move on. So how many were on the teams at the beginning before that I think there were maybe seven or eight per person because if they eliminated that round of eliminations and then the knockouts was another round of eliminations. Bright simmons to had a lot at the beginning. Yeah so they had Here we go okay. One-two-three had ten. Okay the attend to start with. So then they have the each pick ten goodness. How many editions were there. Yeah and there were. I'm sure audition there were five shows. An each show. I think was two hours. So did everybody who did the blind additions get picked for a team. No they did have some that the didn't get through so then so yes assay. They had fit. And you don't get through that until maybe not forty but close to it because there's stuff about people getting stolen and and right saved. It seems very complicated is kind of complicated but as best i can tell they start with..

"I usually on this podcast. Talk about parenting issues. But once a week. Catherine i like to get together to discuss tv movies books and other entertainment topics because it's nice to talk about something other than parenting for a change this week. We're continuing with our double dose of dancing with baby ballroom and i up dancing with the stars the so we are the finals and borough stand. It was such a fun show up until the last thirty seconds. Real to me in. I despite all evidence to the contrary allowed myself to believe that justina could win and then fourth place they really just the results were the were exactly backward from what i had yet you had wanted. I completely Nellie was third. Neave was second in caitlyn the bachelorette came in first for the second season in a row. A bachelorette come on. Yes i just do not approve and it doesn't help that. The bachelorettes victory came shortly after a really trashy. Promotional that look just awful and just made it seem like such an embarrassment and then yeah yes i i mean. I'm happy for artem. he has never one. I would rather sit the pro. Who had never won would be sasha but it was not to be but i just i mean i never connected with her anyway i care for hannah that much last season either and it in general for the bachelorette and two bachelor wins. Two seasons in a row is not good. that's real. Don't think for the show attracting anybody who's not understanding the actual and also i think he gets forgotten. I guess was bobby bonds. The season beforehand. We came very close to getting grocery store. Joe victory in that so he just kept hanging on hanging on hanging on also. A everybody complains about bobby winning based on on votes but at least he was trying. Joe looked like he had been ambushed and forced perhaps they had one of his family members in a in a dark room somewhere to make him continue in this thing and yet he went very far. So obviously bachelor. Nation is a potent voting force but stop having people from that franchise on how 'bout or at least take a break. Yes yes give us a season off. How he's you know. I say now. Well this'll make it easier for me to just stop watching the show. 'cause i'm still mad about tom and i only watched it this season because it just stena. They dashed my hopes at the last minute. But you know they'll wrote me on somebody else next time. Been still still. Can we not with the bachelorettes. Next time please please. They're just they're just boring a you know i mean the other. Three were all more entertaining. They really were yes. I thought melis free style was a lotta fun. I thought yes. Justinas freestyle was awesome. I mean on all at lake. Every latin dance. She just like did them. All it was. It was very fun i have. I had up on twitter. On my tweet deck of the tag four justina and sasha and the hashtag for nellie was watching the fans reacting to stuff all through the show and they were so psyched up till the ripped out of their chests but they were loving those they loved her. It's not done. Yeah it's going to be interested in what they have say next time. Yeah a really they. Can they do this again. Give everybody towns again. Well that was a that was an interesting results thing. I was trying to think who. I would have liked to Kaitlan she just does nothing for me and we had a bachelor a win last time round. you know nice to see again artem bye-bye but it's clear that was not going to happen and you know see just kind of figured combinations of people who would it be announced. Nellie would save. I just imagined the heads of the people who are like good dancer should win. Just exploding us just losing their little. The people who've been nursing a grudge since bobby bones. One just went up in flames all over america so just for that alone. Yay to la. Blue i do enjoy watching him. I have to say is clearly not the best dancer or even a particularly good one but he gives me joy. I just enjoy watching him and daniela is just working her cute little butt off dancing around him and i respect in elchinger like coaching him and he needs me. That was not a ten where jive but holy cow based on that package to to expect.

"At least right. I to win. I kinda was like well. I'd rather see more jack than the dad. Who runs the dance studio. I don't like the way he talks to his wife. Yeah and oh man. Their daughters yes. Sarah's old i mean were they were they was like the reality show people coaching them to the two who are into ballroom dancing to be so qripoli. Nasty lookin to disaster. I know it was an investor. That's natural then. Somebody needs to intervene without family. And if it's not natural what a crappy thing do. Unless she's in on the joke cassatt was painful. Yeah they were really making fun of her visually producers and the the sisters it was that was uncut. Not not necessary in any way at all. It's perfectly okay to say. Two girls are into this. One isn't let's focus on the two. Were into it. Who even when they were like showing the one girl and her boyfriend and stuff. She did not seem very nice. So i don't know what's up with all that but that's the one place where it seemed like somebody had their thumb on the scale right score drills and you know. I didn't necessarily think that he was a bad coach or that. He didn't Treat the students. Well yeah you know. I mean i. I've seen plenty of coaching. That's like a bum in you. Know whatever lake county yelling but the kids know that this is the taliban learn but threatening. He talked to his wife. I just was like really skewed. I don't know that was she when she when they showed her teaching the very little ones. She was written she. They seem to really love hanging being with her having her coach them. Yeah but maybe he only leads her coach the really little kids. I don't know i didn't. I didn't notice that dynamic. But i'll keep an eye out for it in the next one. Yeah he was just kind of i really with her and i how is it. Is this something that happens in skating to where where teachers wind up being the judges also and have to judge the kids that they coach now. That's that's nad. Nine was like the mother max's. Mother was co was judging at one point and his coach was judging at one point. Yeah no and either. They're going to give them a pass. Which is bad or they're going to judge them too harshly. Which is bad. If i just don't have a shortage of judges. Yeah no i mean in skating. It's very You know in order to be a judge you have to be certified in past like not exams but you have to go to school. They call it school training To become a judge. And you're certified you know to to judge certain levels and certain styles you know if you're yet dance judge. You can't just go judge synchro like you have to. Yeah you have to beat you have to have permission from. Us figure skating. Judge certain things and you know end. There's levels you know there's like from silver gold so yeah it's i mean a lot of those judges. I'm sure..
