What Friends and Family Do for Their Famous Friends
"So when driving through Colorado and the cocaine, we had a little bit less at that point as you can imagine. And it was in a baggie. And there we are on route 80. And a state trooper pulls behind us, and he's following us now. Now, like I said, we had God bless America taped to the back of the windshield. But still, a couple of dark skinned guys with Baldi's and a yorkie, driving through Colorado, that would be enough for a cop to at least follow us for a while. And he's been behind us for a good several miles now. He's not moving off our ants. That'll make you shit a brick when you're carrying a lot of dirty stuff. So suddenly Neil says to me, you know what, I think that I know there's a gas station and a car wash up here very soon. I've passed it and I've stopped here a number of times because gumballs made that drive before. That was my first trip. I said, wherever it is, bro, find it and let's go there. So he says, you know what? I'm going to point to the car wash. Hand me the code. I said, no, no, no, I got it. Just do what you got. He was hand me the Coke asshole. You're famous. You have a TV show. You can't hold this or you'll lose everything. You know what? He had a point. So I handed it to him. And he drives into the car wash, but before he stops the car, he says, go into the store and get us some sodas and get us some shit to eat some candy and meet me when I'm done with the car wash. This is sure. And wouldn't you know the cop pulls into the fucking car wash as well? And he stops right behind gumbo. But he isn't going to car wash. He stops and goes in the store. Now he's looking at me up and down and I got the dog in my hand. So after the wash, I hop back in the car and the cop is following us again. And I say, Jesus Christ deal it's curtains. I said, where is it? He says, don't worry. Just look straight ahead. I see where's the bad rose? Just don't fucking move. Just look straight ahead. Stay calm. A few minutes later, the cop puts his siren on. I'm thinking, we're fucking dead. We're going to jail in 9 11. And he speeds past us. Even gave us a little nod. Like, got to go, boys. I mean, I breathed a sigh of relief like you can't imagine. I go holy shit. All right, where's this stuff? Give it to me. He says, hold the wheel. And when I do, Neil leads to his left and fish is in the back of his pants and pulls the bag of Coke out of his crack. Now that's what Friends and family do for famous people. Okay? Sometimes fame isn't a bitch.

"As complex and worth discussion and worth the work that it took to have multiple kinds of genders as part of our societies. The more that we can start to look at our tribal politics or our voices as the ability to sort of speak to why these moments of decolonization are important to us in a contemporary context, whether that be because we are able to say, look, we can look at who we are as Indian people and see that we have, we have always been having this conversation about why equality, whether it be marriage equality or gender equality or the ability of the equality of men and women that we have always been talking about those things. Those are not new to the conversations that we are having. We are not catching up. We are not primitive people catching up. We have been people that have always been having this kind of conversation. So now the people who should have been catching up maybe, they'll finally be able to catch up to us. Now, for me, one of the more interesting aspects of this story among so many other amazing aspects is the trajectory of mister hembury himself the attorney general wasn't always the attorney general. He was just once a private citizen, and he you had mentioned Don McKinley and Kathy Reynolds he had actually as a private citizen tried to sue to stop them from proceeding and pursuing their rights as the same sex couples. So that's where his journey has taken him in about a decade. I just think it goes back to things evolve. People evolve ideas of all identities evolve. And when you try to put people in a box, the box will always become too small and that's when fear and pain and hurt starts happening and the only way to stop that is to let folks out of that box and I am hoping that the attorney general is one of those people that's learned his lesson and that other people can follow. "I do frequently see people posting in recording content on mental health. How to heal and much more. So I wanted to share some of my thoughts with you all. And that's why I decided to read that spiritual post. And here's some ways, again, that you can go about starting to heal, go to therapy, seek out a psychologist, start journaling, do some meditation, I highly suggest doing some shadow work, you can go ahead and YouTube, shadow work, meditations, do research on your own psyche, your own ID ego and super ego, start to kind of like figure out where your generational trauma stems from. Where your parents mean to you when you were younger, did they let you cry a lot when you were a child. When you bumped your knee, did they run to your every Beck and call or did they have a nanny taking care of you 24/7? Were your parents fighting a lot? When you were around and in front of them and maybe you, in your adulthood, fight a lot with your significant other or you are very argumentative in the workplace. Now, because you were brought up with the thought that arguing got you what you wanted because you saw your parents argue a lot. Do you cry often when you feel hurt because you used to see your siblings cry when your parental advisers yelled at your siblings is that what's your coping mechanism now in adulthood you sit and cry in a corner? Do you go read a book? Do you shut down and to a turtle shell? I'm just trying to get you my listeners to start thinking about some things that are currently bothering you in your adulthood that happen frequently in adulthood. Again, whether that be fighting a lot or crying often or having nightmares or chest pains, not knowing why you can't find your perfect significant other or when you do have a partner, you guys are constantly bickering and you don't know why these cycles keep happening. Maybe you have a couple children and at times you get angry at them and you don't know where this anger stems from. Maybe it stems from your old your own childhood. Again, with this podcast episode, I really just wanted you guys to start diving deep into your own personal thoughts. Who you are as a person and start to kind of like heal those emotional wounds, it's best to work on it, don't let it sit, don't let it marinate, don't let it be repressed forever because I'm telling you guys right now, the more that you repress it, the more that you try to put those wounds under the rug and act like those skeletons aren't there, the more they will affect you into adulthood as a parent as a future spouse..

"From time to time, whether that be in dream form or phobias or other means of those unconscious thoughts coming to reality. So that way you guys can better understand what repression and unconscious thoughts mean, like what the definition is, I'm going to read one to you that I happen to find online that I think a lot of you can resonate with or understand. Here is an example of a repressed memory. A young child is bitten by a dog. They later developed a severe phobia of dogs but have no memory of when or how this fear originated. They have repressed the painful memory of the fearful experience with the dog. So they are unaware of exactly where their fear came from. So that's a perfect example of something that happened in early years. They kind of swept those emotions under the rug, but now that they are older, they kind of have this weird phobia of dogs, and they don't really particularly remember exactly where that phobia stem from because their mind decided to disassociate the repressed memory and blockade it into repressed thoughts. I hope you guys are fully enjoying this podcast episode. Again, this is not your typical sports show. I'm your host, Brittany Baldi. And yes, I do typically have on special guests. And we talk sports. We talk all fun things and positive stuff, all of the time, and I love giving you guys wedding updates. I love giving you guys updates on my life and baseball and my dog. But I do feel like sometimes there are points in life where because I do have a platform and when things are brought to light, for example, my Facebook post sparked me to create this podcast episode and I was kind of driven to do so so that way maybe somebody listening will get some help, start healing and to be honest with you, me recording this podcast episode is almost a mini therapy for myself. Again, none of us are perfect. We are all here evolving, growing, and learning. After everything we have been discussing thus far, I do want to bring up a really important point. Again, I do follow a lot of spiritual pages, both on Facebook and Instagram. And one really stuck out to me recently, and it kind of goes along with this podcast episode so it fits perfectly. And it says pain, travels through family lines until someone is ready to heal it in themselves. By going through the agony of healing, you no longer pass the poison Chalice onto the generations that follow. It is incredibly important in sacred work. So with that.

"Through my social media, I love to use my platform to post about not only just sports, my relationship, my dog, topics like that. I do enjoy posting about being mindful, spirituality, things like abuse cycles, trauma patterns, and much more. Here we go, guys. What sparked my interest in creating this mini podcast episode in general was I recently posted a Facebook post in the reactions that I got from my followers that I received warranted me wanting to release this particular episode on childhood trauma. And again, how it can affect you well into adulthood. And I also wanted to discuss how you can potentially heal yourself, break those mental cycles and potentially help heal future generations that way the trauma ends with you and does not continue to the next generation. So let me first start off by reading what I posted on my Facebook that way you guys have a better idea of what this topic will be about. My Facebook post read and I quote, if you grow up in a traumatic or toxic childhood, chances are you will sadly repeat those cycles when dating and finding partners. Almost as if you are trying to fix what was broken within your family unit. You may even experience that quote unquote normal friendships or intimate relationships are boring because there is no chaos. And then I put in quotations your familiarity from childhood. So basically whatever you are familiar with when you were a child is now being brought into your adulthood. And then I continued in my post to say, best advice. Do the inner work, break the toxic cycle, a healthy relationship should not be overbearing or chaotic. It should be safe, loving, kind, easy, and fun, most days. It's not boring to have a healthy partner. It's a godsend. And with me reading that Facebook post, it sparked a whole bunch of conversations in the comment section. So I will read a couple of them below, but I will leave the names anonymous, of course. One person said, that is so true. Oh my gosh, I am going to share this post. Somebody else replied, you got that right, and thank you for posting this. Another Facebook comment under that post read girl, yes, yes, yes, 100% be the change, break the generational curses. Another female replied, I love this. Somebody else that posted under here who happens to be a good friend of mine said, all of this. We have had conversations about this. Love it, girl. Another female posted, love this, sharing, so again, the reason why I randomly decided to make that Facebook post, I felt like it was almost guided to me by the universe by God, by the spirit guides, whoever you feel in your heart is guiding you in that moment..

"I will also be getting involved with their broadcast team shortly as I just mentioned. So stay tuned. I will be recording a full podcast episode very soon talking about my journey as the on field host for the high point rockers. All right, y'all, you guys know that I also had to hit you with a quick wedding update. Not much has happened since my last update on the podcast regarding the wedding. Both Ryan and I are at the point of finalizing and working out some small details. We are 5 months shy of getting married. I can not believe it. Time is just ticking on by. Ryan's dad is making us a custom cake display table. I'm pretty sure I've already talked about this lightly on some past episodes, so I won't talk about it that much, but I will say I am super excited because it is going to be amazing. It's custom, his dad is great with woodworking. He has his own woodworking shed right in the back of the house. So this man has created so many different projects and one of them happens to be our custom wedding cake display table. The top of our cough some wedding cake display table is actually going to look like a surfboard. I wanted to use a surfboard boogie board type of look because as I've mentioned in previous episodes, we are doing a baseball beach theme mixed with spirituality. So I was like, um, you know what would be really cool and I've never seen anybody really do this before. I would love to have a cake table where the top is in the shape of a mini boogie board. So what mister and misses dull did was they bought some wood, cut out the shape of the top to the table, which again resembles a boogie board. Mister Dahl said it was pretty hard getting the cut of a boogie board out of wood. So it did take him a couple of tries, and for the first time ever, mister and misses dull actually bought resin. They purchased a couple different shades of blue, some white, and some like tan sand color. And I wanted to just have them play around with those colors on top of the boogie board that way they can kind of try to mimic what it looks like when waves craft on top of sand. And I know that might be a little bit hard for you guys to kind of like process or understand or maybe even picture as I talk about it. But I will be posting a photo of the custom table after the wedding, of course, because I do want to keep it a secret. But for you, my listeners, you guys are getting a first audible glimpse at what our custom wedding cake display table will look like. And guys, it is breathtaking. Ryan's mom, my future mother in law has been working on creating our official wedding invitations. Those are set to go out sometime. I believe the end of July, they are not printed yet. They are not created yet, but we are just in the process of starting to come up with some ideas for our wedding invitations. Again, sticking with that beachy type of theme. We will be having palm trees on our wedding invitations, and I am so excited for that..

I feel like this is a very important topic to talk about, especially since childhood trauma can affect people into their adulthood. And a lot of the times, people don't even consciously realize that things that have may have happened to them when they were younger affect their adulthood. Whether that be ending up in a bad work environment or dating cycles that might not be healthy for yourself, alcohol abuse, drug abuse, childhood trauma can lead to many things in adulthood and it sparked my interest when I made a Facebook post regarding this topic and so many of you started chiming in. Now it's been almost a week when we finally gotten word from Rihanna and her cheating baby daddy ASAP Rocky that they did in fact welcome a baby on May 13th, Friday the 13th. Like I said, it's a boy, but no word yet on what his name is gonna be. And since I was spot on predicting the day the kid was born, let me now say that I predict the boy's name will start with the letter K or a I'm sure we'll find out in a few days. Don't ask me why, I just feel that now how do I know the baby was going to drop? Well, I saw a picture of her in ASAP Rocky walking out of Giorgio Baldi, very fancy restaurant. She had a crazy ass outfit, a little kind of mini skirt, very revealing top, her belly was out. I actually seen enough of that. If I was a woman I'd want to protect that, I don't know why they leave it out there all the time. It's a little bit too much for me. But it was out, sticking way out. You know, like my mother's dead. And all the paparazzi was snapping away because if you want to be snapped, just go to judge a Baldi dressed like that, and they'll come running. But I saw the pick, which ran may 8th, and I said, Friday's a day. She can't go many more days like this. She looked like she's ready to explode. And I've gotten tired of seeing a dress like that. I'm glad she had the kid

"With Gary dinah, that was the first year we beat Florida. I don't know when the first don't know when was the last time we beat Florida, but it was Steve spurrier to Florida gives number one Kevin fuck was running back. And I think we shut him out maybe 21 nothing, but it was like the bandits we the Chinese bandits is a lot of LSU history and that they had two different defensive fronts that go in there to defeat two defensive teams that go in there and they play the different offensive schemes. But she was great. I mean, my first two years of LSU was like phenomenal. I had like 15 sacks, 31 TfL's a hundred tacos. I was up there in top 20 in defensive events, top 25 after my freshman year, freshman all American. And at that point, I was going to leave the clear early because I remember going to my junior year, it was not crazy the way it is, well, back in the day, it's not as crazy as the way it is now when it comes to the draft. Kuiper, everything was on paper, you know? It wasn't all digital. You didn't get to see the Internet, social media. It was a different world we lived in. But I remember going to my junior year, I was Mel kype of number 20th patent first round. Nick Saban came in new coach. They fired you. We changed our defense completely. We went from getting off the bar to gap defense. And I can remember my junior year had a serious high ankle sprain. I was never the same guy that I was my first two years. And I ended up playing the rest of my term there. I graduated as well and then I went to the Patriots. But my college days was up and down. I mean, I had a lot more fun playing in a professional football league. In colleges was different from me a lot was going on. I had a bad back situation, got a card so then my freshman year had a bad back injury, missed a lot of time with training camp. It was just tough time for me as well, mentally and physically, but I got to say I'm blessed that I got through everything and made it, we wanna sugar bowl my last year and then also just getting drafted in the fourth round after all the things that I've been through the ups and downs to get to the end. What were some of your top memories playing college football? And it doesn't even have to necessarily be like a top game moment. I mean, it could be simply you hanging out or meeting new friends on the team or like something you guys did out at the bar after celebrating a big win. Give us the juicy details, Jarvis, so it doesn't have to be game related. This is your host, Brittany Baldi, and I just want to take the time to thank you all so, so much for listening to all of these fabulous stories on my lifestyle sports podcast..
