"I know some people say they get up in the early in the morning when there's no distractions and do stuff. My mind doesn't work that way. So one of the things one of my routines I always did is in the morning I only read business books so I read for like 30 minutes, I have a set of routines I got to start my day with because I'm OCD and ADD and all that other good stuff. By the way, do you know what CDO is? We didn't know that. Yeah, but you know what, do you guys know what CDOs? It's obsessive compulsive footage. But no, but so at night, what I do is I read fiction, so I'm like right now I'm reading the gray man series on book number 7 of Mark greeny but I read all the David baldacci. You know, I've read a bunch of stuff. And then during the day, I get these ideas, so I put them down into a book. And I mean, actually, I have it right here. So what I do is I take this book and I say, I already kind of have an outline for the chapter, but I say, okay, here's what I want to do in this next chapter. And then I write it kind of during the day. Here's what I want to do. Then I sit down like maybe three, 4 o'clock in the afternoon, and then I can just I can just crank it out. I can crank out 2000 words and maybe an hour and 45 minutes. Oh wow, that's really good. So how much is 2000 words? Is that like three pages? Probably about 6 or 7. That's 2000 words. Yeah, I mean, it's like a chapter. I was trying to write a chapter a day is what I was trying to do. And figuring that you write 2000 words and you're going to have to edit that. Stephen King, his book, seminal book called on writing memoirs of the craft. His formula is a second draft equals first draft -10%. So you always, I mean, you write more than what you need because I know I'll save a lot of this and take it into the next book. I'm at a 173,000 words and I need to target first book only niche should only be should be maybe a 100,000, but you can get by with a 120. So that's I got to cut out 50,000 words, which means a lot of this is going to go into the second book. Tom Patterson, his big thing was every paragraph should be staccato. And no more than like 11, 1200 words. Just keep that pace going. Just keep it going. James Patterson excuse me.
