"Good bound ahead. I want one time. That's how I think too stupid stupid and then it just didn't all my like month of May rent on one. Blackjack had I hate you? Because we think we're GONNA hit like seven times that you do realize right. That's the whole well so there is like this like sections AC. What was it that the guy kept winning? He won like what seven thousand dollar match the dealer so this guy. Oh what's that so decide? Yep Yep so. It's you know if you've got five bucks you put it but by bucks over the chance to win like seven grand right. He put in fifty bucks in one like a thousand fifty dollars because he number. That's how that guy one at CAESARS. Or whatever it was perfect match it was like it was queen. Queen Queen all suited right as it was crazy. Yeah just random. So they're hollering so you're taking their Mojo thinking well fuck. I'm going to be hollering over. Here he kept winning and then like everybody started losing like everybody started losing. And so I'm like I have to. I finally had to pay for three hours and finally I was like dude if I don't go right now like I'm GonNa Piss my pants in about second. So Mike Danny play with this. I think I had like six hundred dollars after something like this. I'll be right back. Keep going I come back. Danny's Roulette and I'm like where's my money? And she's like shaking her head. It didn't go good. I'm like wait. It's all God. This is her executives. Point wait I forgot something before. I go to the bathroom Ethan. Left does like two hours ago because he had a flight at eight o'clock in the morning so he was like I'm GonNa go home. It's like one thirty. He's like I'm going to go home like I'll catch y'all later. 'cause I gotta go to bed. I'm like right by two hours later. We just see him like from across casino-like. Come around a corner smiling. And we're like. Where's this motherfucker man? So he comes up behind us and he's like Yo you bet he's like Yo. Look at this chick I just met. She's from Colombia. This woman baddest as I have ever seen in my life who did not speak English at all. No sort of God not even like one one not she do. Have you been doing and he does? We've been talking in the bar for the past two hours ago. This doesn't speak English what we talking about. Oh my God also introduces us. And they're behind and he's she's like saying to him like let's go to my room like let's go to my room and he's like Nah. I can't do that and I'm like Ethan. Like just go and he's like Nah like I can't do that like I'm not that type of dude. Apparently he's met Multiple Women. He's still in contact with one of them. One of them lives in Trinidad. And they're trying to fly out there and infusing screen shots at the Mike Caution trip. Where's trended it's in the Caribbean near Columbia South like near South America so they were all Spanish? The ladies Spanish for Y'all why don't you start five hundred dollars? Oh Yeah right right right well I also forgot that and you know I love my fans and people who watch the show and like us. But you can't talk to you and I'm going this. One chick comes up behind me when I had enough. You're playing a big hand. Yes she had she had split. I don't even remember. But so she split had the two hands and then she had to double and then you can be a lot of money no joke like fifteen hundred dollars right there on the table and like I probably have five hundred dollars per one like I just put everything I fucking out of there. Basically and she's like Oh my God Brielle and I'd like turn around and on my gay hold on so I'm like telling me what to do so I'm like okay. Split in like here. Whatever I'm like hold on. I'm like gambling. She's like Oh my God like I just love you so much. She's being like really cute and sweet. But I'm like I usually have always liked taking pictures being nice because I don't want people coming asshole because one fucking bad interaction and all of a sudden and everybody in the world knows that you suck so. I'm not going to let that happen but I was really pissed. I was like I have so much money on the table right now. She just came at the worst time and so she's like. Please get a photo with you. I love you. I'm like yes this has come on like. Please hurry up like a message to energy ad. So she saw boyfriends like fumbling like he's just looking at me. I'm like she's like the camera and she's like I don't know your password and I'm like Dude. Everybody with an iphone knows you dislike slide side. You don't need the password anymore like just slide it over dude. Like she's like Oh. I didn't know that candy to swipe up for the camera and he's like I just love you like I love your show is your mom here and I'm like tunney. Get the fuck info over with please like I'm sorry. I really have a lot of money at hand right now. Like I could've won by the time she turned around when I turn back around it was all gone. I just was like. I'm not GONNA say anything. I wasn't even pissed. I was just like whatever great to watch. Go now but say goodbye to it. Whatever closure on that one now that's but that's why we have security when I gamble and stuff behind me because I do appreciate each and every one of you but when I'm gambling and gambling my money and stuff. I'm have to be in my element and in my etiquette for what it's gambling you know. And it's it's but I've done it before and I know exactly what you're saying. And it messes with the vibe and the Mojo because your gambling off of your Mojo your thoughts as some your beliefs and your zone and when somebody else comes up. It's now you're channeling their energy through you and it's not always positive so it is etiquette and that's why security's always amazed like wow. I can't believe they're wanting a picture whatever I'll do it. Totally walking through the casino but not when? I'm at a slot machine at a table right now. I'm just going to say no next right. So Ethan did he. He knows it's bad so we had we were. We were at Roulette and I are magazines. I've lost all my money and I'm like whatever we go. We say there for a minute and Jim the guy who was hit on match the dealer and Whatnot. He was losing sodhani. They lost money. Ed So I guess we Jim was like I'm GonNa come join Roulette like let me see how y'all do it since this is where you seem to be winning all night. I'm like okay. Let me show you. And he lost whenever he put on the table and I lost. Whatever I put on the table I hit block when we didn't play Black Ena hit twenty five when we didn't play twenty-five Sir like it's just not lining up. Let's go so Danny's like look. You only have one hundred dollars left. Let's go play your mom's machine. I am the voice of reason. I said BRIELLE's go cash out your eight hundred dollars. We'll with eight hundred dollars and she goes only eight hundred dollars. I'm GONNA put a mom slot machine. Okay very obvious. Children Watch you grow up. Probably not always positive. Did you not win anything no now? You didn't call mom for this a lot. She didn't worry in the literature you went to the machine. I went to the machine. Yeah didn't didn't do anything. Did you play two hundred dollars a handle one hundred hundred dollar told you bet? Half one hundred. You didn't listen. I did one hundred the last two but so when I did do two hundred bet the last one. I probably would've won. I did win four hundred so I'd like a extra Cherry Cherry. I don't remember my cherry. That's the only way to get four hundred. Yeah you got a double cherry or some shit me. Zach Dan Casino. Y'All okay so wait so. Dna was like telling our our other Elizabeth on entire like. Hey when you guys leave come find me 'cause like I'm tired like I'll just go with you guys and I was like all sit around with like Sakhan Ethan. We'll we don't see Elizabeth Tien Danny Elizabeth Tie and calling for like two hours to. They must have left us. And so I don't know why none of us thought to track but whatever so we all are like heading to leave and eat. I'm just GONNA stay here. We're like why you have like a fight like four hours. And he's like. Yeah if I just like if I go to sleep now. I'M NOT WAKING UP. We're like okay. Like sounds likely Buddy Ed. So he stays here. You never had sex with that girl now. Well we don't know yes see. I suck literally accused him of it and he was like now like come on now. He's like I just like went to go back to the Casino Liar. Yeah Not Buying. Not Buying it buddy. Same so anyways he probably already did because he had a big smile on his face. Tom Still talking to another one. There's together now from Trinidad. Wants from Columbia. Okay well so he's got that over absorb so we get back to the room and no one's in there were like wait. What the fuck. Where is everybody like? We don't know where high and Elizabeth and Colin are an hour like. We're all showered. Were all in bed like ready to go to sleep and they come barreling in like screaming craziest Hallam. We're like we. Or what have you guys been? We thought that you left. And they're like no we've just been ve- literally walking the Casino taking photos doing crazy shit for like hours about a club now. They're just wandering proper so weird but I'll love to take pictures of course wandering the property and then they did like a naked photo shoot and like the hall and my God Lib is like. He's got his legs spread. He's claiming the door these photo. Good thanks no no no so okay so you guys go to bed everybody around. When do you leave the next day? So I'm like sack. We're waking up at eight o'clock and they're all like no. We're not under flight. It's at four okay. So I'm like everybody looks up at eight. I'm like let's get up a and just go to get lunch. Like enjoy. Like are like last. Call Him last yeah. I sent alarm for eight o'clock and I I would like hit snooze. Everybody else would hit snooze like we would just like wake up. Go to sleep. Wake up go to sleep and finally at ten o'clock I was like we gotta get but we went to sleep like three hours earlier and we did not sleep at all like the whole trip. So they're all exhausted. And I just like left Danny in the room and let her sleep because everybody else was awake and so finally. I'm like John. Wake Dania Petar got a cookie for her. So she's while we're gambling last night in the night before Danny's like Oh my God I just want like chocolate cake and I'm like Damn I just want this cookie and like we're just sitting there like fat asses like Oh my God. I want dessert like bring it to me. Bj didn't care but she does. I think real cookie for you downstairs. I was like bing but I've been waiting two days. Well so then I mean I guess that's really just the end of our trip. Oh we ended up gambling so much that we got a certain amount of money off of our room service.

"Kim this is what happens like this is great. I wasn't losing any of my own money. So this is the best casino ever. Why have I never been to one? Free drinks yeah tax rate very drinks. Meanwhile acts like a professional gambler off. I mean go figure also then that's act. Did you ever walk by any of this happening? No I was asleep. Oh you went back to the room. Wow I'm surprised you. Two are the only part of the crew that everybody was asleep. And I walk in and everybody's passed out. It's like four thirty and I'm like get the fuck up guys like she's got to be the cheapest. Okay so you get to the room you wake everybody up or know somebody here now and then we'd just go to bed. I don't really remember it's a blur but so I wake up Monday and I'm like all right. There's no more drinking on for the rest of the weekend. I'm not hung over. I'm just like I don't know what I've been doing like it's time to like getting grimaud. My birthday's tomorrow like let's fucking up. So we go down the Waterside we hang out. We go down like the Lazy River. We do all that and then you're not drinking no. She wasn't ready drink anything. I didn't believe her honestly. I think she was still draw one four. Yeah Yeah. Yeah they're going in Sch- Mamert okay. They're loving it well so probably off of a rum and rum. Punch those special drink some rum runners from so disgusting. Oh Fourteen yes. He's or something that everybody. Oh God Ethan was drinking. Long Island all weekend. Oh God gross also eat then go to the casino before we go to know bill and we walk in and we try to go find them and get them up from the table. Ethan's like no I don't WanNa come and I'm like no like do you literally have to come because it was like one hundred dollar fee if you don't come and so we go to dinner or sitting there. I just don't feel good and so I'm like irritated. Everybody drinking just like you. Just get a drink when you feel about your bloody Mary Spicy. Yeah well so I just wasn't feeling bed bed you know. It didn't feel good. Whatever at so then so then we get it. We go to the casino and like Ethan and soccer hammered and Zach. Go to it. We get to a table and Annie's there again the cute little Asian woman from the night before she the dealer. No she's just like the twelve carat ring she had twelve. I don't think it was real. I mean I don't know what Mom's picking up scenario. Sorry how much does she gambling like? Twenty five dollars chips scenario. Now maybe she maybe. She wore the fake. Once in case. You got mugged your happen. People do that a lot. Yeah anyways we're sitting at this table and Danny is like my good luck charm. Okay and so ty we should make a trip to Murphy. We make a trip to Atlantis because we were winning so anyways way too long to get back. Yeah it takes us about a two hour drive right now and it's an hour and a half to the Bahamas come on well so we're sitting at the table with anti gun so it's on the end Zach. Well okay I I'm gambling and Ethan's like telling me what to do because he's like not putting any money I don't know about youth and after this trip you guys because he was hammered. Well most of the time. Well okay so everybody's a little bar club. My hairstylist came and her sisters birthdays the next day. And they're all drinking like at this bar club thing. We can see them like in the bar club kind of like it's literally right behind blackjacks. Blackjack look through the crowd. Yeah so blackjack. And Roulette are right next to each other and so we're sitting at blackjack and I'm going back and forth between blackjack and Roulette and so we're at blackjack and it's Ethan on the end doc. Then me and then some guy. And he's like at the end she's always at the other end. And so we're gambling eaten walt before Ethan sits down. He's telling me what to do. And he's like getting me like three hundred dollar chips to like double off. What is money? Yeah to double up. Or He's telling me like three hundred odd three hundred dollars more and so I would win and then he will just like he just kept taking my money like I would win. But it's like I'm betting with my money and he's like okay. You Owe me like whatever you bet music so extra. And I'm like what the Hell so finally Danny was like. Start giving white so he would give you three hundred bucks now. Let's just say he would give her the double money and then take the double part that he won so he he he would take what his money one guy do but and then he would also use my money to like. He usually usually casinos really frown upon that so they don't let you pull from two pots rules at this casino about quickly. Like yeah they don't let you pick from two pots are purses like you can only have one person is what they call it now. So eat them was behind me and he told me what to do and I would always be right like we were winning. Okay Zach was winning an so zach. Was Betting Twenty five dollars and he would win. What able minimum blackjack? All the time. Twenty five dollar. Blackjacks DOTS. What he was doing. That's what was happening and so every time. Somebody got blackjack playing the table minimum. That's what we deal. Well let me tell you that. These are drunken idiots at the end of the table screaming table minimum. Blackjack every time they go my God like hammer hitting the table. Shit's going everywhere. Even sodastream probably four or five times literally sir. You can't put your chips. They're they're going to get sticky because you've spilled about seven drinks on the table. Oh my God they were acting like fools like at one point. Lethem's hand was like behind the table like on like like we're her deck of cards are something and he was like hit me like putting his hand on and she was like sorry. You need to move your hand. And he was just sitting there looking at her. Like come on like hit me. It's not worth your fucking hand. And he's like fucking hit me like and I'm like dude. Eat them like figure it out. Birlik move your hands. She can give you another guessing that you guys ended up getting removed. No really no. Dixie fell asleep with the damn table. Wait we haven't gotten there yet. Cold on Oh okay. So we're winning going. How many times did you guys get like warned at the table? Can you guys even? How many do you like twenty? I'm embarrassed I'm so glad I didn't go. Maybe the pit bulls came by one time. It was like she. Now he's lying. She came by Multiple Times even the even the dealer. If the dealer has killer was it. Hey right if the dealer has to correct you maybe two or three times. You were hammered and you were screaming in my ear and yelling and having fun so you don't probably remember but I was sober. Was that not the night that I got our dealer which because she was going too fast wells ordering a drink. I think that was the next call. Okay anyway sorry. So so. You're getting warned. Bosses come and you still have not gotten removed now okay so anti just kept saying at the end of the table. You're much better tonight. You're much better than you can. Franck last night broke in her broken accent. Shows all you draw. He's wrong literally kept telling me how hammered I was last night. I would look at Danny and I was like did he. What was I doing that? This will give her any indication that I was hammered. She's a funny also finally Danny was like like listen. Every time you get one hundred dollar tip like just give it to you know. Put it in my purse and so finally I'd like I don't know how many did I haven't are sixteen. Says she was winning big every time. She's wearing big people will be like. GimMe Gimme me. Some and Brielle discos. Whatever you get out you went back double so here. Just throw his famous line as you guys okay. I love you but stopped. She was winning money tonight because she actually took the cash. Outta the safe Okay true sums out so eat just like take so much money and I'd be like no way I literally gave you what you gave me back. And he's like no no no like I need like more so so then he gets down to no MORE MONEY. He has no more than and this is like. It's my birthday now. Like twelve o'clock is coming. God everybody's all all of our friends and they're like drunken idiot selves are like doing. God knows what being crazy running around like taking photos so ty and Colin were pretending like it was Elizabeth's Bachelorette. So they were going up to workers and men that they could find and being like we need photos of hotter guys the top twenty hot guys in this resort so she can leave her man at so. There's like a photo collection of them taking these photos with them dude and so that was with was involved in this. There's all these photos of her with all these random dudes like she's Lou squatting on one guy like AAH sow a worker. They are like some old sixty year old guy like she's like standing next to him. I can't taken anyways. Did Not attend and gas. So that was that but they come over they would say hi and like when it hit twelve o'clock they were like come on. Let's take a photo like all this Mike. My rituals like well now. New ritual well as of last year We go to relax at twelve o'clock and we brought up one hundred dollar chip on twenty five twenty five. Did it work not this time you so? I'm a little frustrated that but whatever so we're winning so much money yeah right table. Yeah so we're winning so much money at blackjack like I think I had like. I probably had like like well. It wasn't that much but we have. We probably have like three four grand ish like we in chips at the table. No jobs out on the table counted all his stuff that the hundred dollar tip to hide my purse and halfway through she goes how much have in their Mike counter through. I'd say twenty nine hundred dollars. We had just in my purse you know about. Oh my God so. We had a lot of money so we go home. We all like are collectively. Let's except for Ethan. So Ethan stays at the table and does anybody really PROB- probably. Does anybody really remember what happened here. "King. Screening your Weirdo. Like give me my money do like why are you holding onto it? Like give it to me do weird. He's twelve shots has his own money. He wants to gamble with it so I knew the I knew the cash came through. I couldn't check. I had no service. How the service is terrible. It's terrible there. One hundred percent pay for the international plan. Think you're go- borough and I couldn't even check my bank account. Because at that point the casinos wasn't treated very well. Kim. Had this not happened yet. Oh that was the first one that was first night. One BRIELLE has a friend that ends up going to like random hotel rooms of people and so we joked about it too. Caesar's lucky I don't remember. Oh my God we were on the phone. That's how I saw. We're lucky I don't remember you asshole. So no wait hold on positions Caesar at Caesar's. I didn't WanNa stop gambling when we were there for his birthday right and he was like no. I'm don this is it. I've had I said well. I'm not done like a lot of money in this machine. I've got about twenty grand in my hand. I said and I just throw twenty grand air and he was like you can cue to me. He starts scrambling. I'm still pulling the lever like like. I'm still getting the gamble. While you pick on the money up so I cried laughing when all of a sudden actually all this money also Zach leaves and I'm like forget it so I put whatever he gave me in the machine right okay so then I go to this bar that my friends are like right around the corner and they're like you know that we saw your your lady parts last night and I'm like the security guards and I'm like what Iran virus just got. You're at the club and you were escorted out and you kind of took a tumble. So I guess that's where but why is the security guard telling me these things like that's weird? Keep that information yourself do snapshot I hope not but so you know maybe we'll see I didn't have my id either. And I couldn't get into the bar so thank God. They like remembered me. Okay think I want you guys to know that Bruce to walk around the Atlanta's and she's like hey everybody and everybody from time she was probably five years old. She works over at the Royal Tower Pool. Right now I'm like can I go? She's like she's not here today. We had the same nanny as Anna Nicole Smith. She was actually a really amazing that well. So thankfully Danny shows up the second that I leave Zach and I'm like she calls me and she's like where are you and I'm like I'm out the casino. Did you drop your bags off? And she's like yeah and I'm like okay. Meet me at the ATM wall. So we go to the guy. Glare to God you guys. I'm on the phone with Russian Mimi at the ATM. We go to the way she walked up. Maybe fourteen hours for come back around maybe longer but so I go to the ATM machine. With Danny Danny. Just pull out like like seven hundred dollars. Like I'll just have my mom's. Emily you like right now. Meanwhile just the people out there listening. No this is my money okay. I have to pay my mom back because everybody thinks that it's used my parents money which is not the case. I have my source of income. A large liquid okay. She left all the cash in a room and it is a far walk. You guys to go back all the way to the cove. Everybody understands what we're talking about here so anyways so we go and we're like at this machine for ten minutes and I'm like dude. None of US neither of us. Can she sober. Neither of US can figure out how to work the machine. So filing I'm like luscious call my mom and she's like no. She's going to think stupidest home like it's fine call her. It's like one thirty. I call my mom. And she's like hello that is for players cards. That is not for ATM. Because I'm pretty put the card in it would spin back we're like what are we doing wrong here? I know it was twelve because we asked her to any was like how big is that Danny was like can I try it on? I'm like Daniela. You do not ask women to train their engagement ring. She was like so nice as not properly etiquette outlet. As you know when you're at this location there's no etiquette everybody's drunk well. Wow this do. The random is create anywhere. We're at on real birthday. There's no addict it doesn't matter there isn't you guys. I have pictures of Brielle's friends climbing doors ben over. Ice goes from a solid state instantly to a gas state and it's heavier than oxygen so it sits right on top of the water and so who knows is they tried to cool down. The Pool. Right whole objective was to cool down the pool because it was hot so they wanted to a place to chill out and relax and so they let it fill for a little bit to cool down the water. And as it's fizzling it's creating a thick layer of carbon dioxide which is what it is because the chlorine nope because it'll dry says the solid form of carbon dioxide. Right I don't know you're asking the right person. Sure no yeah carbon dioxide. It's the solid form of it so it goes directly from solid to gas in so anyways when they jumped in their water all underwater. You can't breathe underwater. As soon as they came up they were in that cloud of carbon dioxide breathed it in passed out and that was it they drown. Why did create like nobody saw them? Drown Crozet. Can you see in the kitchen sink when we had the dry ice going? Literally a this'll you guys. Here's the thing I think children. My kids are fascinated with dry ice in there around it. I had no knowledge of this. We will be having a conversation something. I want to know though if you have passed out but you're in like a flight or fight situation by drowning. How do you not wake up from that? And be like fuck. I gotTa Save Myself. You can't like well. It's carbon dioxide to right so that's like putting like following people dying in homes right when they're carbon monoxide monarchs and. I'm sorry but like if you were to put your mouth tailpipe and breathe in like that's it you're done you die you can't you can't you can't have that in your lungs so I was it. Put it. Put them out like makes you pass out per se. You don't you can't shake yourself awake to say you know so I mean. People put themselves in that situation well. They didn't think they thought it was the cool. It's really cool effect. You can have this. It looks kind of real spooky and jump through it and you disappear into the cloud. I mean there's there's all kinds of videos and shit on Youtube of kids around with it but it's no joke you guys realize it's really no joke. I just want to bring this to your attention if your parents and you have children that ever have been around dry isis. I'm never really share with them because I could see kids just throwing it in the poor thing and it's really cool because why would they not think it was cool and then it's does this so I I did not know this until today? You guys you guys all know this. I didn't I didn't even know really. What dry ice was right? Been around until Corey so I just want to share the golden nugget. You guys real quick alterations.

She's going to tell you how many in a minute because I don't know exactly think about it brings friends down there. No why she asked. I wait for you guys. Wait for it but a group of Friends Zach obviously her best friend Elizabeth Colin etc. There's like a group of Eight. Maybe six eight they all take off a work for everybody's birthday so it's like five six eight times a year okay. I don't know how they all do it. I have no idea. They all travel just around wherever brielle usually goes the biggest like the Bahamas or vegas wherever she just goes on. Yeah it doesn't matter. Yeah so Brett definitely goes all out but I just never understand how all eight of them just see you later. Why do some people love cruising so much?
"So let's talk about cruising there's a huge upwards of thirty million Leeann people this year are going to cruise. It is definitely a subculture. Why do people love cruising so much? It's not really a subculture. What happens is someone takes it's a cruise and in they cruise on the right experience for them they become cruisers for life So it's not a subculture. Yeah is actually everyone. Yeah could be cruisers for life if they cruise in the first place so under penetrated in every market in the world. And we're GONNA be under penetrated us one point four billion estimated travelers year. Half a billion vacationers a year in the world thirty million cruisers so really small part of the market all the cruise ships added together at Upton less than two percent of hotel rooms in the world one of every two people cruise with us. So we don't even consider all the cruise lines as competitors because I we're gonNA chase the other one percent and we're gonNA chase the ninety eight percent. Yeah it's not that as cruises for certain types of people is that there's a certain cruise for every person if you're with a bunch of college friends different way the kids with you a different one different destinations. If you're dying to go to eighty that's GonNa be a certain choice but the reality is at any moment in time there's a Reich cruise experience for what you're looking for Socialization Fun Excursion Adventure. Sure whatever it might be and if you get that experience in that moment you're looking for it you realize cruises just the best way to travel all right just a quick update from your perspective have on the heels of Hurricane Dorian that ravaged the Bahamas. How are the Bahamas you know the Bahamian people are extremely resilient we have a lot of operations in Grand Bahama almost wish was hit by during we have a shipyard there we have a new project? We're building a new destination there. That's GonNa Continue. The shipyard is up and running not only is up and running but while also providing technical support and manpower to help get the water system you know for the area for the general population reinstituted and we're also helping with the hospital spill to get the hospital up and running but the shipyard is already backed up. We have private islands there. We have a destination throughout the Caribbean but to private islands and the Bahamas Half Moon Cay and princess key. Both of those are up and Robin already and we have another project a new project we have one in half moon cay well established but a new one. We're GONNA continue with that so we see a good recovery. Our job is to bring commerce to help that recovery accelerate and then the provide the support that that we can through that and through the rest of the community
Where to Redeem Your Travel Points in the Bahamas
"All right next question from Scott from New Jersey Chrissy and he's trying to go. Stay in the Bahamas around Christmas. Let's hear what his question is. Hi My name is Scott. I'm in new. Jersey does and I was trying to book a trip to the Bahamas at the new Baja Mar and it showed me. The trip was ninety two hundred dollars or dog. One point three million miles on Amex which isn't a good return. So I was thinking the booking Amex getting five times the points and then in using current points at a one one which would cost me nine hundred thousand points for so for that The paid wondering if there's certainly better alternative so like Lowe's from New York City area to NASA it was blending nine nights at the rose in December two Christmas Day. Thank you. That's a great question you know. I really wish there. There was an APP that would tell you. You know you should pay for something versus US points and also whether you should transfer points or use points to a travel agency sense a little foreshadowing coming here because that's exactly what the gap is going to do. Which is launching an early Twenty Twenty Enough Self Promotion Zach? Can you help our friend. Scott out should he redeem points. Where should he stay? In the Bahamas I sure Baja Mar is supposedly an awesome destination in the Bahamas. We have full reviews of all the hotels in Bahama are on the point sky in my personal favourite. For redeeming points is the Grand Hyatt Baja Mar I. The Grand Hyatt has great reward availability. You have two choices for using chase points at the granted and Bahama. The first is that you could transfer them directly to high it in the since the Grand Hyatt Bahamas a category five hotel. Free Nights cost twenty thousand points for regular room or thirty two thousand points for a sweet the other alternative. If if you have chases Sapphire Reserve Card you can redeem your points directly through the chase travel portal at a rate of one and a half cents per point point in book the hotel directly through chases travel portal. The one thing to note is in that case you'll be on the hook for taxes and fees in your chase points will need to be used to cover those whereas if you were to send your points too high it and redeem for a free night award you won't be on the hook for taxes and fees always. He's double check. Whether it makes sense to book directly through chase or send your points to High Jack. Have you actually been to the Bahamas. Yeah I grew up in south Florida so getting to the Bahamas Imus was really easy for us and we could easily do it on a weekend. I've stayed at the Atlantis. I've also taken cruises stopped in the Bahamas and now that the ocean club club has been renovated as a four seasons. I'm really looking forward to trying out that new four
Chinese diplomats must notify their moves in US
"D matt's in the united states will have to notify the US authorities before holding meetings with american officials beijing says that the decision breaks international rules run a meter is the director of oxford university's china center he joins us now welcome back to monocle twenty four honor that let's start at the beginning shall we for those i don't know and not includes may interact with diplomats a lot betide and have to ask anybody permission so if you're a resident diplomats and you want to speak to an official from your this country how does that usually work under the vienna convention which is the international treaties essentially regulates these sorts of meetings diplomats is to have significant freedoms in terms of being able to interact in a normal way with institutions and people throughout a particular country this is basically to prevent them from being being held back from speaking to a wide variety of people in the country to get a sense the temperature not just in terms of what diplomats governments say but actually what other members of society the people in universities people in companies private sector and so forth all do say so in that sense this has been part of the diplomatic furniture for quite a long time i'm out is anywhere in the world because let's face it some countries are more free than others we'll many people interpreted in different sorts of ways so i think it's fantasy that if you are particular example a diplomat in north korea your ability to actually want around freely will not be as extensive as it wouldn't some other countries but certainly fair to say that in a country like the united kingdom or the united states diplomats from other countries in general have been fairly free in terms of the way in which they're allowed to interact with the wider population so why now is the US breaking this norm as it would say well it's very important just what it is that the US is proposing or in fact i think we should say they're not actually asking for chinese diplomat's to get permission like a slip or kind of visa internal visas were before meet anyone they're required to let the state department note they're going to have the meeting there's no implication that moment at least that they could be prevented from doing so it's more that is it's a form of annoyance i think the chinese diplomats that the americans trying to put forward that if they want to go and meet a university professor or a company director something of that sort then they would actually have to let the state department now so it's more means of essentially keeping track of what they're doing it's not aimed at stopping them doing it in the first place thirds going beyond i meeting state department officials it's actually any sort of meetings are having the mental at the state bahama know about it that is it but of course what goes the americans would say is that some version this has essentially been what has happened for many diplomats working in china as well the situation there is often a bit fluid i think it's fantasy that i and many other people visited china have met foreign diplomats a cup of coffee that sort of thing on various occasions and that's often quite an informal an easy thing to to do when this diplomats me as citizens i suspect it's more lately that the citizens may find that either an official or unofficial basis summer from the chinese authorities then wants to go and find them in what was it that you actually talked about so even if there is an official system always by which foreign diplomats supposed to let the chinese authorities know who they're talking to in practice it does seem that they have some pretty fictive ways of finding out who those people are well absolutely i've worked as a journalist in china and you can imagine how much fun vacuum bay and suddenly in terms of having mind as coming around with and seeing who you're talking to that happens all the time so beijing saying that it's outraged by what the US is proposing i'm truly a bit disingenuous it isn't your newest i think indian what we're talking about here is the way in which the united states wants to project itself the fact is that we've all got used due to a broad difference in which countries like china say well actually we are gonna monitor and check up on what people do and the US britain franz may say we're free societies where liberal societies we are going to give you much more freedom than we give you a sort of freedom shaming as it were if the united states is now going down a different sort of route under the trump administration in which they say will actually it's going to be much more tit for tat it's going to be exactly the same standards that we operate than it's it's the different sort of of moral message being put forward because the US would no longer be able to say will actually chinese diplomat's or journalists others a much freer here in the US than they would be in china i liked the fact that you've just joined freedom shaming as a thing rauner but i suppose the big question for all of his would all of this be happening with all of this tit for tat happening if we didn't have an ongoing trade war between the US and china probably not i must say there are some rather disturbing aspects of the united states is doing for instance many chinese academics who regularly visit the united states a now being told not not that they're banned but that they can't have for instance multiple entry visas now this might sound like a technical point but basically principally someone well-connected in beijing zipping back and forth to washington new york keeping that conversation going on a fairly easy basis and having to go through a lengthy visa proposal each time they want to come which of course will tend to put them off that reduces dialogue between the two sides and a time of potential trade war and beyond that is actually a dangerous path the US to be sheila thanks for joining us rana that's a matter the director of oxford university's china

Oil spill adds to Bahamians' Dorian-induced woes
"Compounding the Bahamas misery is a massive oil spill that's begun to spread into the ocean off the southern coast of grand Bahama island after hurricane Dorian blew the limbs off six giant crude oil tanks this comes as multiple news outlets reported the trump administration has decided not to grant temporary protected status to the hangman's which would allow them to work and live in the United States and tell it safe for them to return home in response the national immigration law center tweeted for the trump administration to deny TPS to those seeking shelter is yet another example of their sheer cruelty they said on Wednesday the Miami Herald reported a twelve year old Bahamian girl whose home was destroyed by the hurricane was separated from her family by U. "The outlook remains bleak around recovery efforts for the hurricane battered Bahama islands there are many who are still missing the number of deaths is expected to significantly increase that's Bahamas prime minister Hubert menace at a news conference last night ABC's Marcus more is on the island of avocado where Dorian made landfall as a category five storm the Bahamian government declaring twenty five hundred missing after hurricane Dorian obliterated parts of the Bahamas. government officials now cross checking those names against the list of goals with evacuated went to shelters they tried to determine how many lives were lost in this historic stored some idea on how big and bad Dorian was it is tied for being the second strongest hurricane in terms of wind speed ever recorded in the Atlantic meteorologist believe winds may have gusted up to two hundred twenty miles per hour that is comparable to a tornado meantime the United States will not grant temporary protected status to those displaced by the hurricane it would have allowed Bahamian still work and live here until it's deemed safe to return home the same status is currently you've been granted to over three hundred thousand people now living in the U. "For the mainland United States that not looking that way thankfully not. yeah I mean the the worst of it is it was what he Abaco and then what continued over. grand Bahama was actually a little bit weaker body just stall any I think both islands are just yeah they've they're gonna take them awhile to recover that. if you think it's like a bomb is gone but they can actually we are producer here is on our honeymoon she's gonna go to the Bahamas and apparently that's because there's nothing left there right now it's gonna take because we're talking about cataclysmic right now we're not getting a lot of reports out of there because they know they're still getting pounded our when we get when we do though it's gonna look barren as an act. it is well it's not like there was much of a of a lark a lot of large structures on islands like this anyways they're just they're typically one story two stories at the most you find very few larger structures unless the hotels with hotels are built to a better grade typically on its I mean I've been on grand Bahama island and I'll tell you there's not a lot of infrastructure that's large there there's not a lot of vertical rise there's a lot of very low lying flat areas and the I they showed the video of the airport where you could see the complete tarmac was under water remember flying in there. for the water to have it indicated that it had to cross some serious turf like its grand Bahama island there's not gonna be a lot left their Freeport yeah in an alley that too I mean you think about it's a very small nation to that centered on you know their their their main product there is tourism and if there's nothing left to tour you got some real real devastation for that country yeah I'd even whenever we went to grand Bahama what was that ten years ago even then tourism wasn't what it used to be there wasn't as much money coming in so yeah they're they're gonna need to rebuild all locked yeah you just wonder too I mean if they don't turn like you know essentially like what Haiti is right because they're already on the margins and in tourism is declining there's no doubt about the bombs out of people I've never been but heard the stories about yeah you know it's just a little bit grittier than I wanted to be when it yeah I know because we're Americans you want everything to be nice and safe and if you don't feel that that's the case and and I wonder what happens once the once things dry out your society there is a ready on the margins are very very thin Benjamin here between civility incivility I wonder what happens those poor folks there went once once the lights come back on well I think one thing you have to do is you have to analyze what happened importer Rico last year it was also right right you know a very thankfully with Porter Rico I mean. we have the backing track. the hurricane kept going get it installed but you're still looking at the same type of the part of the country where people you get that hurricane fear you go well but I got hit by hurricane we probably should vacation there so you have that running against you to begin with has been rebuilt enough there's always that doubt so they're gonna deal not only with the Dow but then the local resources of what you know the Bahamas government has to give them I think. it was probably in a better situation than what grand Bahama and all the call will ever be and for recovery yeah Jennifer catch marking the WCPO nine first warning weather center we look right here fortunately for us anyway for the next few days Jennifer thanks again for the time and have a good one for **** it's not something you have to go Jennifer catcher yeah it's just a a a Bahamas almost let's look at garnet smell nice in tropical and but but you wonder what's going to happen when the hurricane moves out now you're looked at it rebuilding because our entire industry there is it's it's terrorism and if there's no place left tour wars the money come from sure there's going to be a rush to national aid and Matthew twenty five ministries is already involved in getting donations like together for the folks in the Bahamas stakeout we'll get a time out and people still want about gun control we have that in news about twelve it's it's got slow show on seven hundred seven hundred.

"McNamara Aymeric Carly's we move into a Tuesday good morning good morning the latest from a hurricane Dorian which really has remained right now it's a hundred thirty miles an hour as we know it as so it has decreased the the wind speed still a category four but here was can Graham national hurricane center director earlier all day long we've seen the center of this hurricane just sitting right in the same spot just battering the Bahama islands and just continue to have that that that rain and the winds and and also the personal water so this is a significant issue continues to be a life threatening situation throughout the Bahamas as we just haven't been able to get this thing to me yeah. just incredible it seemed like every time that I and I had it on a lot over the weekend probably as we all do when hurricanes hit just glued to the weather channel but most of the day yesterday was set one mile an hour or stationary yeah if this thing just basically staying in one place I don't know how unprecedented that is for this period of time it's the but there was almost on Monday. there was almost zero movement of this relatively speaking at one point it was moving at one mile an hour but it really wasn't going anywhere so when you look at started looking at the forecast models are talking about going up the east coast of the next few days. I guess the question is what what do they expect to to happen over the next couple days that we'll get this thing this hurricane moving well if if if you look at that as we know the worst winds are really you know outside the eye wall about forty miles so when you're talking stationary or one mile an hour. you're talking at least forty hours yeah right. in hurricane winds now maybe that is happened over open water at a time I write I you know I I don't remember I don't remember and and I was thinking about this because and again maybe they said on the weather channel mean it's tough to watch twenty four seven but I was wondering the same question you were how unprecedented is this with any type of of lack of of movement because that to me is the.

Bahamians look for way off storm-ravaged island as death toll climbs
"Authorities in the bahamas say they are expecting even more horrible news in the wake of hurricane dorian medical staff telling c._n._n. As they treat the many wounded that they are dreading and bracing themselves to learn how many are dead the storm killed at least thirty people by last official count but given the overwhelming damage to the islands and the hundreds of people who remain missing behaving officials believed the real death toll is quote quote unimaginable new video. Today gives an example of hurricane durians forest. You're looking right now at a hummer. That's around six thousand pounds. The the powerful floodwaters picked up that vehicle and slammed it through the side of house during his currently off north carolina's outer banks as a category one hurricane still flooding towns and knocking out power but it is the bahamas reeling from total disaster the u._s. coastguard alone has rescued get more than two hundred people there. A helicopter crew described seeing the avocado islands in the bahamas for the first time. The town was just looks like a landfill saw. The houses were dismantled. It was trash everywhere in ever c._n._n.'s patrick ofman reports parts for us now from the bahamas where he tells us he was struck by the silence and the destruction and the stench of death areas of of grand bahama island means driving through still flooded streets demand streets that are no longer streets. This area in the east of the island highland has until now been inaccessible since the storm little to no help has arrived the force of the hurricane through cars through buildings the storm orbital out here the category five leveling whole towns many rode out the storm in their homes. Many did not survive pastor. Joey saunders was on the third floor of his home with his son. When the storm surge crashed in these saturday make out to the second floor of the house and been put ten minutes in aside to flow to the third floor you know in the modern that flow optima head and we felt like strong current trying to break loose everything he cracks and this was in the middle of the night one thirty in the morning and then the current was so strong then the roof sarah to lift a nest thing i remember i was underneath the water my son's getting i noticed he had to searched like i guess he just disappeared socially and i heard him screaming daddy daddy daddy. He was in the water at that point right. He's ready gone in minutes later. When i came on the water i tried my hand. I caught onto the trust and re roof carried mealy so we will lake but six hundred feet away away from each other's for two days and be caught up into the pine tree with thirty two feet high surf the water carried. You know pine tree in the middle of the night. Your son was a ways away from you. What was going through your mind. You must have been terrified. Yes i was hoping that he was alive and he thought i had also also wasn't tells you know the two days later that'd be so he was under the trailer idea not sold another government has warn warn people the death count could spike in places like iraq where everyone knows of dead or missing family and neighbors that news is no surprise even though this is one of the hardest hit areas help from the government is yet to arrive either. The government is on his way. He doesn't take a bit of time. Can you are the settlements but they do anything. Gradually you know. Do you wish they were moving quicker. I yes i wish it can move quicker. People desperately need food and water before time time runs out a lot of lost most of their clothes water food basics right now. It and we are in the town of hierarchy. This is where dorian category five came in installed. These people had category five winds for over for four hours. They say behind me what house just had the front of it knocked in and it was completely flooded. Believe it or not this used to be a neighborhood. There was house after house <music> after house. They were all gone. There were three people who were in this house. A mother her daughter and a granddaughter houses swept away into the ocean knows where they are. They are officially listed as missing but residents say they fear that most likely they were swept in the ocean and it will never be seen again throughout the day. We've seen helicopters coast guard helicopters hovering over spots in this area residents say that's how they know. Another body has been found and the grim work continues and at this point we're told by residents. They don't expect for anymore survivors to be jake patrick ottoman. Thanks so much for that story c. n. N.'s paula newton joins me now live from a different part of the islands <hes> she's at an airfield in nassau which is now being used as a staging area for aid and rescue rescue teams in paula. I mean frankly it could take years for the bahamas to recover from this. If ever the bahamas will be for for many decades likely transformed by this and the reason is that you were dealing with islands and keys that are isolated at times spanning over several hundred miles this says the deployment area unfortunately jake and not for lack of trying with the aid effort has been in fact spotty and chaotic you have that mix of both government and volunteer aid and given they they said how widespread the needed the need is it is difficult to really ascertain if people are getting everything that they need and when we first start with the basics the food in the water then there's people who need to be evacuated and then as patrick just told you in very grim detail there is search and recovery and that search and recovery mission is also very important gordon because it keeps away disease that call listen. We're here in nassau. This is also where they're bringing evacuees. I spoke to elizabeth nixon. I mean her story about. Even getting outta here was crazy. They put the kids or nieces and nephews in coolers to get them out but after that they had to split up at the airport in marsh harbour what happens some of them came here. Those children with some relatives tips are still at the airport tick. Listen to elizabeth nixon. Those babies can't stand minute avenue eaten last night. They said there was an airport and they they at the airport right now. Daily front that is so chaotic you know if those will catch trying to push through a lot you know the issue here is that she saying it's frantic that is not the way on day six that you wanna see all of this unfold and she's desperate because she knows that those children have not eaten. She knows they do not not have water. Jake <hes> listen the challenge ahead. It is quite significant all right paul. Thank you so much for that reporting <hes>. Let's go now to dr caroline burnett galloway. She's on the phone from the bahamas. Choose the medical chief of staff at princess margaret hospital which is the only hospital in nassau still able to treat critical all patients in the entire bahamas <hes> doctor. Thank you for joining us first of all. How are you doing. How are you holding up. How is your family. Thank you jake <hes>. My family is fine. <hes> and we're all rolling up with is a great team effort. It's it's tiring. It's exhausting <hes> <hes>. It's the most traumatizing hearing some of the stories of our patients that come in but we have to keep going. You're the only one taking critical patients right now. How in in nassau how strained or your resources we've come together and and deployed stop and me shepherd through that we're managing. <hes> initial wave of critical patients from arbuckle has they've come in. We've admitted taken them to the operating freaking there too if necessary i know the second wave of the walking wounded are coming in initially they came by koos guard helicopter and the airports so now open to regular plates are bringing more patients in but <hes> with with very strict and tight triage resorts in the patient offending them to a public health clinic or after come into this. Don't you told c._n._n. That you're treating the wounded right now but preparing for the dead you believe that the death toll is is much higher than thirty right correct. How much higher do you think it might be i. I can't estimate but it's going to be high. We are preparing some people coming to you. <hes> have been trapped in their homes in some cases on top of their homes for days on end. What kind of you've conditions are they. In by the time they get to you so dehydrated exhausted <hes> emotionally exhausted i <hes> <hes> somehow metabolic abnormalities from the long exposure and they had a chronic illness like diabetes hypertension. Do be out of control dr caroline brunette caraway. Thank you for the work you do and thank you for your time

Bahamas hurricane survivors tell of children swept away; death toll reaches 30
"Martin hurricane Dorian is now looming over the Carolinas but we still don't even know the full extent of the storm's impact on the Bahamas the death toll there has risen to at least thirty but authorities warn that figure is likely to rise as search and rescue teams managed to gain access to some of the islands on Abaco and grand Bahama buildings have been obliterated whole sections remain under water all of which makes the rescue and recovery effort dangerous and complicated eagle Gibson is the founder of Bahamas evac services it is his job to help find stranded survivors and bring them to safety we reached him between search and rescue runs Mister Gibson thank you so much for taking the time this morning thank you I'm a first if I could just ask you to do just describe what the effort looks like right now how many people have you been able to help at this point we've been able to transport around sixty people. on the priority right now is just to get all of the injured people out there so a large number of injured people on the ground on that assisting you know laceration ginger use the legs arms head you name so we're just trying to do what we can to. to get those people to local facilities US Coast Guard condoning amazing job helping us up on that yeah. the problem is we just trying to coordinate your traction all of all of those people that needs to be airlifted out before we focus on efforts going up but if I can ask more details on the rescue efforts where are you extracting people from are you and how are you finding them. so do the people that we've been coordinating where serve you know somehow gotten word out through other patients that have been airlifted giving their locations in the GPS coordinates and we've just been coordinating not Newman US Coast Guard our water mark on the ground as to how we can get people end of the kinds of injuries you said there's a Lotta lacerations presumably this is from falling debris what what can you say about the injuries or sing. our yes I mean the injuries is all you know if you think about it some of the priest on point on water movement you're very very quickly visibility you know for the waters really reduce so you know you can imagine there's a lot of people that are here are certain degrees in parts you know people being stuck in their home things floating around on that they can't physically see so let your serve you know just trying to get a handle on those personnel lead really needs to be. Florence medical attention what if I can ask what is their emotional state. I mean everybody is is up spirit I'm not thankful for first of all life and just utility to be reunited with their families you know those are. it's it's it's it's a really traumatic experience I think they're most grateful to be alive and I think you know the payment people to really resilient yeah. you know they're they're adequate about getting into rebuilding but for now it's just me thankful for the license so is there a specific story you could share with us someone you met during this someone you're able to help. one that sticks in my mind is the mother of the lost her own child the storm the dog there was one of the victims perform mall like I said I really give you a really. can't say much of wonderful are done in a lot of people lost their lives alone a lot of people mostly children and on this is tough. where are where the people staying the people who you are able to help and rescue. people you know on the on the leave the hospitals you have some of them are from which to stay with the government stepping in to Mr social services everybody's doing a great job or not and so we're just trying to get every other bringing it to open the doors and just you know. the right thing right now I imagine you've seen hurricanes there before and especially in your line of work how does this one measure up. totally different category entirely. en route my mind around the significance of different difference right now I mean literally tired communities oblivious I mean

Hurricane death toll in Bahamas rises as aid begins to land
"Now hurricane Dorian which continues to batter the Carolinas and Virginia coast the biggest concern in the evening heavy rain flooding and tornadoes meanwhile to northern Bahama islands the pictures telling the story Nast destruction a death toll that is rising now more than twenty confirmed deaths in an area that looks as if a bomb went off total massive devastation during a conference call this afternoon FEMA officials were asked about the relief effort now under way. the question is for payment I know the Coast Guard has a presence in the Bahamas are is female offering help and if so what are the details on that in terms of need of assistance being one. that's a great question you know as always our our thoughts and prayers go out to anybody affected by natural disaster no matter where they live Hey you lose to the Coast Guard on its you know one of our partner agencies within the department of managed care is doing a great job down there as well as our others famous focuses on hurricane Dorian as it impacts the coastlines of stock on notes on as it moves through Florida in Georgia that is where our focus is you know we are able to assist with certain elements such as our urban search and rescue network where we two of our teams or or when they call international certified we made as a viable to the department of state USA ID that is the the lead agencies for any international disaster efforts so you know we are always in you know ray they'll go right now our focus is on supporting our steaks from the impacts of a hurricane Dorian primarily now think just all sat on North Carolina. just to clarify are those international team had they been tied to the Bahamas. I have to double check I know we we we made them available meaning we made operational maneuvers to back fill the two teams one data California was out of Virginia we can follow up by my follow up with you to to see if they've actually deployed or what their status he is but you know our role is to make those changes available we've done that everything with team officials earlier today on the phone the Bahamas will be seeking billions of dollars in aid and ask your stock com reporting that the trump administration is considering the national security implications if China rushes to help with more on that story here's staff kite our conversation earlier today. well one thing that I keep this recording is that when it comes to helping the but the Bahamas really recover from the devastation that this hurricane has called on the island I would require a lot of money it's gonna require billions of foreign aid at the trump administration is considering especially with the angle of national security implications indicates that China rushes to how we know that China has up to judges power around the world by infrastructure spending by being influential in various countries helping to rebuild and using their power and money to help and of course Bahamas has had such close proximity to the wax it could be a target or China and so we from our reporting we know that this is part of the calculation of the trump administration is making when it comes to how much and how they're going to help the Bahamas recovered from the hurricane in your PC make reference to China's quote belt and road initiative what is that. road initiative is in place it's just one element of China's big clan to rise as the dominant global superpower they have a very specific plan for the next several years back three decades actually that lays out how they plan to rise and dominance on the global stage in their path the last as the global superpower in that involve things such as investing in various countries around the world and becoming more flexible that way as well as becoming an economic super power in continuing to to build their their trade and their output with other nations as well and of course all of this comes as we look at the pictures and really now fully understand the magnitude of the destruction as a result of hurricane Dorian into that part of the Bahamas and the rebuilding effort and the cost of the rebuilding effort moving ahead. absolutely and you can see from the images that have been circulating around the internet that there this really has been devastating to the Bahamas and you have no category for category five hurricane just sitting over the island could cause significant destruction in those areas and it will cost billions of foreign agents said just to rebuild what's been locked
