"Yeah, the thing that thing that's funny about it is the theme of people not seeing him is continuing. I feel like a lot of NBA fans really don't know much about Anthony simons. It's an interesting plight to put a young player in when, like, in talking to going back to that clip of old Shea, he just had the foresight to think, think about, you know, this is a guy that we would not be able to get in any other situation. So he's thinking, and it's kind of similar, I think, to what the spurs did with primo where they were thinking, we're going to if this guy goes to college for another year, he's probably going to go higher in the draft. So we're just going to go ahead and take him now. The order of the draft being a thing, notwithstanding, but the rub on simons, if you haven't seen him, like chuck said he's 6 four, big point guard. Very like very quick. I mean, he's got a 6. I think a 6 8 or a 6 9 wingspan really long arms. 40 inch vertical. Coming out of high school though, it's interesting I was going to talk to you about the Kyle. Did you remember he wanted done contests last year? I'd forgotten about that. I'll be honest, man, I don't really watch the duck contest anymore. Of course, of course you don't. That doesn't surprise me. I decided to really just start forget about it, honestly, sometimes. But it's interesting just to go back and look, he was number 8 in that class of 28, the high school class of 2018, but it's interesting just to see physicality rated over ball skills in that class, like nasir little, who I still think could do something. He's gonna get picked for that. And he said a good year before I got hurt. Yeah. This hasn't become like the anti Ashton hagans podcast, but he was ranked ahead of Darius Garland, which is like, I can't control my reaction to that. Romeo Langford was ranked ahead of Tyler. I love that you're going down these hobby holes. You would like 1% of our listeners, though Ashton Higgins is we're just going to say it's like an athletic guard. I think it just kind of shows you like Aaron nee Smith was ranked in the 50s of that class. Simons was behind cam reddish, Charles bassey. Anyway, I was curious to think to ask you about this. Well, first before I do that, I just kind of want to hit on it. Something that people should know about Simon's is he's extremely quick as a dribble shooter. Like we're talking about maxi is more of like a comparing them. These are both scoring guards moving into playmaking roles, assuming more responsibility growing to the shape of their tank the size and shape of their tank. He is extremely quick with it. I said he's like a pistol. He's super quick on his draw. In the MBA, in terms of players, this is if you're a shooter you're gonna end up in situations where people are coming over ball screens to run you off the line. So that ability to hit that dribble pull up three, something like Steph is a master at Trey, dame is pretty freaking good at it too. He is fit this season in threes made and shooting a pretty good percentage. Assuming more pick and roll reps too, you were talking about this year he's over time he's moved from off ball to on ball. So he was like in the 9% range this year over a 5th over 20% of his reps have been passing out of the pick and roll. So he's doing more of that. I was curious to ask you though. If we're looking back at 2018 and we're thinking about if we did a redraft, if we were looking at who, how far up could he move? Where would you take Simon's? How valuable is this real? Is this somebody that is going to become a star level player for sure going forward? Okay, I think there's a couple of things to unpack there. And I like that you started it with his high school rankings. I think that is a good indicator so like to me, I kind of put him in that Darius Garland bucket. In terms of this is a guy whose games based on his jump shot. And the power of his really elite jump shot opens up the rest of his game, right? I think there's some point guards who like to get to the rim who are super fast. And the defense wants to give them the shot. And then there's point guards who are such great shooters, the game opens up for them because the defense is pressed on them all the time. Like you kind of said Anne for an assignments, this is a guy, I think I believe in the jump shot at this point. It looks really, really good. He's 6 foot three, 6 foot four, money shooter. And I think you watched him and it's hard not to think about dame being that he wasn't poor on these last couple of years. Dame's game is based on his jumper. Though they aren't quite the same player. There's a couple key differences. I think the more important point is you kind of said, he's not really well known yet and NBA circles because he spent the last few years in a small market coming off the bench in a small role. But he's still only 20 at least 22. Yeah, these 22. So I think it's like, I'm not sure how for sure good he's going to be or this is for sure real. But I'm definitely open to the possibility that it is. And I think you have to open your mind too. Like you were saying about the draft. A guy with the limited track record, you're not really sure what you're getting, but you're opening up possibilities by doing so because he didn't go to college. You're acting in the 20s. And in your head as an NBA fan, all the sky's drafted in the 20s, I never heard of him. He didn't do much since first few years in the league. You kind of naturally put a ceiling on how good he can be. There's no ceiling. Where Anne for an assignment. Like, I don't know how high the elevator's gonna end up going. But it could go pretty freaking high. I think she's got all star ability. Well, that's a big point you just said there. You think he has all star ability. And I think that that's something that is a conversation. I think that that is a threshold that we're crossing. I think that's an interesting point. Go ahead. And I would say in this stretch of like 22 games where he's running the show. What's impressed me the most. A couple things are really impressed me. Number one, he's not crazy ball dominant. It isn't like he's like James Harden or something. He's such a good shooter. He threatens the defense without needing to hold the ball a ton just by standing out there and moving around. So he's letting other guys do stuff. He's not like monopolizing the ball, which I love in a point guard as he can play on or off. That's one, two, he plays really under control. Like he doesn't seem like a lot of times the game starts and he's just not really doing that much. He's just entering the offense given nurse touches playing off narc. He's really let Josh hart do a lot since the trade. So Josh hart came over in the pelicans trade. Four CJ, he's like, hard, you can do your thing for a while. I know I can get my shot when I need it. So I'll just wait. I'm not trying to force the action early. He's a very deliberate control player, which I also.

"So you had like the guy who's like bring your playbook to the office basically? Yeah, man, I went and saw the Turk. Yeah. Not only was I right. I was right to the second, but I was gonna say a couple guys that you were high on talking to a leadership changes, Robert woodard and demise Ramsey got quietly waived at the deadline by the kings. What did you think about that? Or did you even see that? It was kind of buried. No, I did not see that. So it's a new day, though I guess they were drafted by the new front office, but second round picks, that's the life sometimes. When you go out. And Jalen really quick just run it through Jalen Smith got the vote of ultra no confidence again from Phoenix that in renew him, they shipped him to Indiana for toy Craig, and then to kill Alexander walker. But let's talk about Marvin Bagley. What was your feeling on Marvin Bagley coming out for anybody that didn't know he was part of a four team trade that the pistons ultimately got rid of Trey lyles, who's coming up. I forget what his contract situation is at this point, but a couple second rounders. That's what they gave up for Marvin Bagley a reclamation project. I obviously, I learned a lot of lessons from because Bagley was this overlap between me following basketball in my free time to full-time. And I learned a lot of lessons on that. Why were you in a different place than me? What was your feeling on Marvin Bagley coming out of duke? My thought with Bagley, I mean, I think it's been kind of talked about a lot now, but it was just this basic problem when I look at big men and I'm trying to slot them in a role in the NBA. And for Bagley, it was, well, he's not a perimeter player. He's not really that skilled. He can't really shoot. He has a decent enough handle for a big guy, but he's not breaking down off the dribble for man. He's just not that player. And then you say, well, if he's not that, we'll see a center, can he protect the rim, no. And I think you go back to his time at duke. Well, there's games like, let's stick with you with players sometimes. And I think that's the value of watching a player over the course. It was college season. So if baggy and Wendell Carter, there is this famous game and I'll go even deeper. It was against Boston college and this is the game I believe that got Jerome Robinson drafted in the lottery from Boston college. So Jerome Robinson just running pick and rolls against Bagley and Carter all day. Absolutely destroying them in space. And after the game coach case forget this, we're doing a two three zone the rest of the year. And coach K is famously a man to man coach. So for coach K to say, my big men are so bad at defense. I must plan two three zone, forget it. Massive red flag. And then you combine that with the lack of a perimeter game. I just didn't really see a role for him in the NBA. And I think that's kind of played out. I think what allured me was this was a guy that I like tracked a lot earlier in high school and I loved his motor. I still to this day think that he's like a fluid athlete for his size at about 6 foot 11. He's not, it doesn't have like a crazy wingspan or anything. He gets a lot of just easy implied offense. It's kind of the thing that drew me to him. I thought that you could plug him into an offense and he could screen and roll and finish. I thought that he could become like a short mid range shooter. I thought the face up stuff was there. He has not been a good shooter. Another thing though that I think that we should talk about here is before we go on to that. I mean, the duke thing is interesting. You now were joking about teasing teasing duke. I have a bid on Twitter where I talk about being unfair to do because someone accused me of that one time, like a big baby. Who they are. No, I mean, do bigs over time, Bagley, Wendell Carter junior, I wouldn't say Wendell's a failure, but he hasn't hasn't blown our hair back. Marquis Bolden, I think that was a guy who was like miss evaluated probably just kind of seen as a prospect when he probably wasn't. Jaleel Okafor and then Harry Giles, no fault of his own. I don't know that there's necessarily a commonality. I know we're kind of joking there. It's more just about the way the game has changed. What do you think about duke Biggs in general? Is there any kind of talking, take away point with that? I don't love the way coach Kay uses his bigs more often than not. I feel like especially like the plum leaves. It would always kind of felt like go set a screen and get a rebound, do big man, get out of the way of my guards. That's kind of always felt his mentality about bigs on some level. And I think a couple points about when you're talking about baggage is true. And I still think he'll stick in the league because he is very athletic. He is very big. He can finish around the room, kind of make those three foot 5 foot plays. But there's two things one when you're a big man. So I'm someone like, I'm not super tall compared to NBA players. By I'm 6 four, so I played big man positions growing up. And it's like, yes, those are the big man offense, easy points. But you got to earn those points by playing good defense. So it's like a big man who lives on easy points on offense, but don't protect the same plays on defense, is always very questionable. And I think two with baggage, the other thing I think was a red flag looking back on it is passing. Because if you're a big man who can't plan the perimeter and you're not going to be a center, you got to play in tight spaces. You've got to be a really good passer. And that skill that Evan mobley has that has really allowed that Evan mobley Jared Allen twin towers combination. It's a mobile can make those shovel passes those quick passes in the lane, the bounce pass. He just really smart player complaining from the high post and sling the ball around the court. And if you're a big who doesn't shoot, you've got to have that passing gene a little bit too. Yeah, I think the plus minus balance thing is sort of like a forgiveness buffer, like what you were talking about Jared Allen is a funny one to bring up because it's like he gets you those easy baskets. But if he was just like a screen door on the other end, he protects the rim. So he gives you something and also it gives you buffer like we've talked about a lot in the past that if you can provide that defensive stability out there and you're not, it gives you leeway to sort of develop other things. It keeps you on the floor. Bagley, do you just start taking away talking about taking things away from you over time? It's just like, well, we keep lowering our options for what he can be as a player. I think the passing thing is interesting because I don't know the way he moves, I think I've heard a lot of people talk lately about aesthetic bias. I think and that could be at play whenever I'm watching a player like Bagley, I'm like Manny moose so well, he's gonna succeed. The easy offense is there. I think he's a really talented player on the offensive glass. That's probably his biggest skill. I thought the shooting was going to be there. One of the big things too, I think is fit, you know, Sacramento, as his dad has made abundantly clear. They were never really pleased. Team Bagley. They were out there. They were never really pleased with the fit there. And we've seen that I think had he been a better passer. He probably would have synergized better with the iron Fox, maybe the way that sabonis will, you know, he'll give some of those intangible things that would have paired. So I just want to I was curious so you're talking about baggily moving into a new fit into a new team in Detroit. What do you see in Detroit with him and like cade Cunningham? Do you think that can work? What's his role on this new team do you think potentially? I think that Kate is a more sharing minded guard than deer and fox. I think he's more of a malleable piece..

"Thing that I know about the one thing I know about Alan Gustafson, his crew chief is that he keeps the cool parts, the good parts on the shelf. He only brings them out and they need to come out. And that car that car gets fast when it needs to get fast. And, you know, there's a reason why they struggle to pass tech. He pushes every edge of that rule book. And he works as hard as he can in those gray areas to give his driver as much of an advantage as possible. So I think that the pace as far as you just line them up and watch them practice. I bet you're going to see better lap times and more speed in the 9 car. But I think you've made a great point. Brad about perfection in pit stops and doing everything right. That's going to matter. Somebody's going to speed on pit road. Somebody's pit stop is going to be a little slow. Somebody's going to get off strategy. You're making a mistake. Something's going to happen to a few of these guys. And the one guy that has that flawless day, even if he might not have the best car, I think that's the guy that wins. Yeah, I agree with you a 100%. I mean, I think it's gonna come down to the mistakes. And, you know, that's the one thing that I think Danny's cleaned up a lot. This past season, you know, in the past, he's always just had a lot of problems on pit road making mistakes. He seems to have cleaned that up, incredibly well. So I think he's got a great shot. I think after watching chase there last year, man, you're absolutely dead on. He and Allen have a plan and they just have tremendous speed at that racetrack. And they had a flawless plan last year even though they had to start in the rear. So I think it's going to come down to that. I just think it's going to be that pit crew on that 5 car is the best in the business. They've averaged the fastest stops consistently throughout the season. And I think that will be the difference on that last pit stop is getting off first and I think that's what gives college a little bit of an edge. Well, Brad, we want to thank everyone at home for being patient of the phone lines have been not working now they're back working NASCAR is called in. NASCAR go ahead, you're on with Dale and Brad. What's on your mind? You guys, first of all, Larson's got this end of story Brad. You're right last. You're smart man. That's right. Now, it's only in our practice, but for the championship four. She would have little adjustments but then get off because of the risk that could maybe happen to her practice or something. I mean, when you go to this practice, do you just see what you have get out, so nothing happens to the primary car? What's your agenda? Well, that hour's gonna go by really, really fast. And they're gonna want to utilize as much time as they can to learn what they need to learn and they probably have a plan already in places to what they're going to do in practice in terms of running in race trim and so forth. So literally in just a few minutes. But time you go out there and run 5 or 6 laps and kind of get a sense of where you are on the racetrack, 15 minutes is going by. You bring the car in. They check the tire camps and do all those things now 20 minutes is going by. You literally might get two, three runs in this practice. So I think they'll use all of it. Yeah, it's funny. I was talking to cliff Daniels about that today NASCAR and Brad I'd love to get your thoughts if you had a championship four car. If you would want it out there or have them just run a few laps and that's it. But cliff told me, he said, I don't really want to try anything. I'm hoping we go make one run. We're good. Wow. May make a Mac run and then, you know, they're hoping they don't have to try a bunch of stuff. And keep it simple. There's never, ever. Been a perfect race car on the racetrack. Drivers are going to drive that car to the limit of the tires and either the front or the rear is going to slide and he's going to tell the crew chief to fix one of those. And so they're going to go to work. They're going to have something they're going to try. They're definitely they're not going to show up to the racetrack without at least one thing that they need to check off the list. One creative idea that they think might have a little pace or add a little piece of that race car. I'd be pushing my crew chief to bring his best plan of attack for that practice and let's try to find maybe another half a tenth at least in that car. Brad, would you worry about your car going out there and practicing or are you okay with that? Yeah. Well, I'd be a little bit worried about it, but it's a necessary evil, just like they'll say, you gotta go out. You may have something you need to overcome or make sure you're not gonna deal with come race time. But I'm gonna tell you, this is the perfect scenario. Kyle Larson goes out, you know, he can wheel that thing, man. He yells at car out. He goes out. He runs a bullet fast lap. And you know what these race car drivers.

"Had better performance on the racetrack. Get all the Chevy teams have elevated themselves. And I think Alex has benefiting from that. I think Alex if he was sitting here right now, would say we've got a lot of gaps to feel. We got places where we're not to complete package. Like the 9 car and the 5 car chase Elliott Larson, they're pretty competitive every single week. Right. And William Byron has gotten to that point as well to where he's fast, right? And Alex is not quite there. He's there some weekends and maybe a little bit off other weekends. It is really hard. I've been around multi Carta's my entire career and it's hard to have four fast cars every single week. I know that. But I think Alex would agree that they want to elevate their performance across the board going into next year. I think this kind of figure out how to get some consistency. They've been so streaky this year. They can just level that out some. Before we get the phone calls, I want to ask you about Saturday night and your impressions of your driver Noah Gregson. Was that a career defining moment for him? Yeah, absolutely. You know, I was almost I was ashamed of my take on the restart was, you know, he needs a lineup third. His shot to win and get around the 18 car Henrik was to line up third and go down into turn one and push him out of the way. Right, right? That's exactly what I thought he should do. Well he lined up on the outside and when he made it that moment, what do you think? At that moment, I'm thinking, all right, he's gonna try to do this the right way, but it's gonna be the harder way. And it's gonna be less likely to be successful. And he not only.

"Complete waste of a player who's doing anything. And people will say it's empty stats because it's on bad kings teams, or whatever, but again, this is not. He's not shooting 38% in scoring for 14 points on 20 attempts at night. That's not this. This is, you know, just a big you can do some stuff. So, you know, so I just feel like this is one where you kind of want to tell both sides. I mean, look, I think it's absolutely funny that I got to this point. But you want to tell both sides, all right, it's time to grow up down. Let's just move along. Exactly. Exactly. Both sides need to move on. I mean, look, if you're the kings, and you can go out there and you can sign Alex Len pretty clear that you're going to be playing him over your former lottery pick. In Marvin Bagley, Alex lender won any one of 15 centers. Yes. On that roster. Anytime continued, is they rival Cleveland for the absolute tallest theme in the league. Anytime you can sign a journeyman big off the free agent market and completely devalue your former lottery pick, you have to do it. You have to, if you're thinking, you have to make that move. A 100% sure. Yeah. All right, let's move on to big mistake. Oddly enough. Let's do Daniel gafford first. Washington Wizards. So if you remember, we talked about Terence man, I've probably about a week or so ago. He signed an extension where there's a little blue unique is what the clippers did was they picked up a team option for him for next season the 2020 two 23 season. And then they added two years on to it. Well, the wizards took it a little bit of a step further and they had a three years added a little over 40 million on there, so he'll be on the books next season, at 1.9 million, then that'll jump up to 12.4, 13.4, and then it'll close at 14.4 in 25, 26, all three seasons fully guaranteed, no options in there, no bonuses or anything..

I start every one of our sessions with. What did you make of what happened in the courtroom today. Particularly john lewin's third day of interrogating robert durst on the witness stand. It was another day where we're going through a very meticulous and exhaustive cross examination point by point and it was not so much the individual responses each one. We're basically the prosecutor is challenging. Every single thing that bob has said about the disappearance of his wife his whereabouts his actions the state of their marriage that the violence or nonviolence in in their marriage. But what. I was focused on was a little bit more when the prosecutors finally says to bob after going through so many of these statements that he said where lies he asks. Bob how are we supposed to feed out when you're lying or telling the truth you've just given to statements to andrew directly one on december twelve. Which says you had a pushing shoving argument then the next day. You say we didn't have a fight. We didn't wrestle. We didn't touch one another and when directly tells you wake up in our last conversation. Didn't you say there was a physical altercation and you said no. I don't think i had a physical altercation at night. You're sure i told you that you just heard the two statements. Do you agree those two statements both from you one day. Apart to andrew directly are completely inconsistent with each other brands for. Aren't telling well. But i thought you told me that andrew told you the first day to say that there was some kind of fight and then you say that and then the second day you were saying and who decides to tell you to say the opposite and then to try to correct you. Is that your statement. Time he interview gone to the third day highways. Being thanks that maybe. I may say i was not going along all injuries. So mr when you said. I don't think i told you yesterday that we had a pushing shoving argument when you said that on the third day you knew that was a lie.
The Inspiration Behind the Simbell Wireless Bell Ringing Simulator
"My guest. Today is st farmer. Who designed and bills the wireless church bell simulator. Hardware symbol steve. My first question is how long have you been ringing. I've only actually been ringing well. Four and a half years. I started in two thousand and sixteen run up to christmas. My wife has been reading for twenty years and that is the one thing that she did that. I didn't met. We had a open as part of the heritage days at the church and she was sure that nobody was going to turn open. Beg me to go along with the tower and have a go at ringing just so that if they had somebody go there and basically i got there within fifteen minutes. I was hooked. What was your experience of learning to ring learning was. I was taught me a very traditional way in that we had our tower captain at the time who basically gave me half an hour every now and then when we could fit in before practices and things and i learnt how to ring as you used to probably set you for two years ago and that was one of the things that made me think richie i need more wrote time and that was the basis of it but of course the issue that you have with bells is the fact. They make an awful lot of noise and the fighters somebody learning to ring and the constant banging manda. I thought we had to do something out of the must be a way of doing it. And that's when i started to look into simulators and what people were doing other people were doing. What did you find to be the two options. At the time the was the the wad system that david bagley made. And then there was another wireless system co. Belfry that tony croft made and i decided that i needed something so i thought that want to put wires in and it was quite expensive as a system for what was really just for one person to learn as i thought i was looking from totally selfish point of view so i went to come tevi croft and he didn't respond to my email and that's the basis of how i got into the whole thing of simulators if you'd actually responded to the email symbol probably wouldn't even exist so i just would have bought a belfi system and learn to know four would have gone

I'm just looking back at what Kyle Larson is done here in the past, and if we go back to 2017 He led 241 lapse on that day. He has now led to 49 like you pointed out a few moments ago. But even on that day, leading to 41, he didn't win the race. He did come home second. We to the point now where something is going to have to happen dramatically. If anybody is going to beat the five car, I think so. I mean, he's been that good today. But again, things happen all the time. He could get crossed up on the race track. He could get a little misfortune trying to work some slower traffic out there. And if we have green flag pit stops, he has to be flawless as a driver, Kim Kun told us on the final sweep before the drop of the green flag today that getting on the pit road here is one of the most difficult to do in all of NASCAR. So Yeah, and nobody wants anything ill will to happen Toe. Kinda Larsen hurt anybody. But if you're the competition out there, you wouldn't be upset if something happened like that. The highs and lows of NASCAR Mike Bagley. If we look at Martin Truex Jr. Who I think a lot of us felt like this was going to be His day like it's turning out to be Kyle's Day. Kyle Larson, that is true acts right now is trying to hang on to the lead lap one week ago at Darlington. Waxed the field like we're seeing this afternoon from Larson. Tru X right now. No better than 17th after that dominating performance just a week ago, and that has surprised a lot of people because when you look at the string of tracks that We've run this aerodynamic package. He's won three of them, and he finished in the top five of the other, very air uncharacteristic like performance for Martin Truex Jr. And that's got the natives restless. There's a lot of true expanse that are in the stands this afternoon that basically guaranteed a true ex win, and we all thought going into this race that he was going to be the man to be instead. It was the man that he beat last week in Darlington. That's the man today at Dover, and that man is Kyle Larson. He's currently Martin Truex Jr that is.

Tense protests erupt after Detroit officers shoot, kill man who fired on them
"Energy behind the ongoing protests in the city of Detroit renewed on Friday after a fatal shooting, involving an officer near San Juan and mcnichols on Detroit's west side. The protests built up as rumors spread across social media of Hakeem Little Tins. And the rumored 'cause that a teenager was shot in the back of the head execution style protesters marched from the Bagley neighborhood through the university district to the police precinct on seven mile near Woodward that spurred Detroit police to release body Cam footage from the officer within hours. It show that the incident in fact did not happen. As was rumored on social media, the video showed that the suspect reached for a gun in his pocket and shot I at a police officer at close range. Other officers are on the scene. Then fatally shot the twenty year old littleton. The whole thing escalated in less than five seconds at the time. Littleton associate who police say is a suspected gang member was being arrested on an outstanding warrant for distributing drugs. Protests were then subdued by whether and the realization that they came together over misinformation, widely shared on social media that police shot an unarmed teenager. Protests resumed Saturday with an attendance of about one hundred Detroit. Police chief James Craig called the officer involved a hero while critics say. Say the police don't have the strength and don't know how to engage with citizens in a way that's focused on de escalating conflict

"That's really interesting about when Del I think. He averaged like eight boards this year, but he's the guy very similar to along vein of somebody like Brook. Lopez Robin, Lopez he's a really good team rebounder, and he's an incredible on the offensive glass, but defensively he elevates all the lineups around him because he's so good at boxing out. His box outnumbers are really good. Knee also has one of the highest contested defensive rebound rates at forty percent, which is the ninety fifth percentile, so it means you know always not just getting some random vs rebound that somebody else boxed out for Like I. Don't know I just think. Maybe it's a little bit different. I would actually say that perhaps heralds probably a better offensive player right now. Mean not perhaps I think he's definitely better off right now. Yeah, when Dell right now on, but I think one could be better than that just because I think there is potential for his spacing ability I know it's okay. So I watched all of windows threes, these taken in in his time in the league, and I don't think the form is too bad. I think releases a little slow Marine there's real potential there and part of the problem is they never get him set up in the corner He took I believe. He's taken sixty shots from three, and he's only only twelve from the corner this year, and if you're a guy who's typically like A. Alo- volume three point shooter your big. WHO HAS A slow release? You need to be in the corner so that you can get easier. Looks you know You know that's how guys who aren't really at least in my opinion, guys who aren't great three-point shooters are working I'm becoming good three shoes. That's how you improve on that. You Know Miles Turner. In I believe in is secondly when he shooting threes. Because, he was originally a prolific mid range guy. He took almost half a shots from range. And started coming out. The three started off in the corner. You have to start in the easier spots to to get easier shots and get more custody knocked down My point is I think he's a guy who become like a thirty four thirty five percents shooter I think there's potential with far away though. I mean I'm not saying. It's GonNa. Happen Right now, but I mean when I'm talking about somebody like no sapper Horford. You look those guys. Start shooting threes at a credible rate until they were both you know six seven years in career And I think you know he's very similar in the vein more MILLSAP and Horford Warford was obviously a top pick on the out and. Instant contributor in a no sad wasn't instant contributors. Welby a second round pick he wasn't. kind of its Weiner starting with the jazz and I. Just think there's a lot of similarities that we can draw from their game and. I think once there's more stable offensive system around him. With actually stable offensive players, incapable defensive players I have a really positive outlook for for windows career. One thing right now, though that I'm not a huge fan of you takes a lot of shots from the post like he posts up a pretty considerable amount but he's not great at it. I mean he's one of the only issues with him like he's a good screen setter, but he's not a great rim roller like his role. Gravity isn't very good because he's not like he's got verticality, but he's not A. He's kind of like. You know how we always talk about like. Oh bear like we you and I. You're in my state. Come on over. We'll distance sounds good. So here's here's something I find fascinating about you guys ever since you decided to come back and give this another world. You've been nonstop. I mean I don't it from our perspective. It seems like you never stop. It's like every day. You have a new announcement there. A new announcement tomorrow. I mean but because of the way we're living our lives these days. I'm assuming you're almost forced to slow down a little bit. Aren't you or. You're still chugging away just as fast as always it's been surprisingly busy. I mean on on top of Releasing Xm Five more minutes today and kind of the gear up for that We all stay pretty busy with their own own. Things I've been doing. The voice live shows remote from home which has been very unique. And you know had to sort of spend most of my my time outside of brothers stuff doing that. Kevin's been you know. Homeschooling is kids. And yes. That's the only new thing and then going. How's that working for you It's good. I just can't believe in kindergarten. They're doing like like light Algebra like I. Just don't get it. You know like she's like I was just helping her ready for this call with some of her schoolwork and she's like Dad. I have to solve for x and you help me figure out which one this is came today. That's the sole for ex- ex- exactly nice. I feel like we all think we're smart until it's time to help your children with homework and like wait a second. I'M REALLY NOT THAT SMART. Exactly was this is kindergarten. So I'm really concerned about what the future holds. This is why I stopped at a Schnauzer. Brilliant as is GonNa be in my house Schnauzer. He speaks German and Joe. I was watching a cup of Joe on Qube. That looks like a dry. A dream job to me being able to these these cities. You've always been too but you never got to see them now. You get to explore them with interesting people exactly a for years we would travel and go to these different cities and we'd see the hotel or just the venues we started going. Stir crazy thinking what would it be like if I had a six hours to explore with interesting people and we really tried to get some interesting talented to join us and then Matthew mcconnahey was was number one he started us off so I was like well? You set the bar. I once I ran out of gas. I used Kevin Neck which was great. I'll convenience being show convene you WANNA come so so being being musicians which is part of what you are being How does this all change for you? You're still making music but it's all I'm assuming it. The rules are thrown out the door. I mean it's a whole new way of of existing and creating right definitely definitely different. Get all go ahead. This is the hardest part about these calls. You never know. Speak kind of adapting to what this life is like for all of us right now. I'm making the most of it. Obviously music keeps US motivated and inspired so we tried to have little recording writing setups in in individual spaces. So I've been able to do songwriting from afar. And sometimes you go. Why haven't we done this all this time? Bagley you'll have our space but I think it's it's going to be really exciting. We can get a in a room with a bunch of people again and Wrightson songs right now. Have you seen each other in masks yet because I find that? It's the most bizarre thing to see a loved one in a mask who the nothing your naked. I? We haven't actually I have. I've seen Kevin on his way. You know he's running errands and we've facetime. We're both mass together. So it's just a bizarre world we're living in But at the same time when you're still producing music you're still doing the things you love. You'd have to do differently but you you. You make sacrifices in you come out with like what we're doing today so you decided to release what we call it a bundle it's called X. or fire go. No because there's there's an ex and there's five more minutes so well. Today's the fifteenth. So we thought we'd get creative. Okay tricking we've asked him. I didn't even put the two together. So I'm with YOU ELVIS. Good so we're GONNA play X or five minutes or so. I play both. What should we do? Here I've been played both say yes probably the time we've ever released time top five okay. We'll do it. I'M GONNA blame now in that order accident in five minutes in next time. Let's get together in the same room. Let's say some better timing. What are you do? I think this is great. I love the fact that I can be in my basement and talk to the Jonas brothers. Oh by the way announcement I dunno I think Kevin knows but I have three huge Koi in my house and Santa Fe and there yesterday enjoy Jonas brother a scavenger now and they have they have little fish now. They're they're they're having families. How Kevin Kevin in Nick? Fish all did each other well. I don't know I don't know how to tell left tail and how it works but it congratulates the three of you. Have you have little fish in my fish? I wanted to say thanks the enjoyment.

Family would be coming for buddy already. I wanna play with a take martyrdom Dupatta, left chap. Exactly what North Carolina's. That's what happens when you say. What would happen? Sinead. She as parents would sadder for playing, but Mischer she still at the glass. These. The open when you go back later. That's true. All right, y'all. Be speaking guys are injured. Knicks Snap 18-Game Home Losing Streak with Win over Spurs to Avoid NBA History
"Guys. We have a guest here obviously on the shell Pennzoil performance line. And it is oh guy. Our guy Bagley get your bag. Ian, how're you doing? In. My three favorites out there tonight. I'm very excited. Yes. ESPN New York. Knicks reporter also does the nets and basically holds the upper east coast down in did you know that the Knicks made the Oscars they pretty much won an Oscar did you notice this? Yeah. We got wind of it on social media after the game. And we asked a couple of players about if they hadn't seen a year for too excited to just see the clip Samuel Jackson, and Spike Lee. Not every not every year that the Knicks could have mentioned on the Oscars deserves rightfully so. Because the Knicks would at home first time that happened since December one twenty eight and I'm talking about last year folks, twenty we're everywhere. Number one two thousand eighteen they won. They beat the Spurs one thirty one eighteen and I even saw the icing on the cake who threw off the backboard pass for the dunk like it was just wild. How important Dennis Smith? Well, of course, it makes sense. Usually he's on the other end of the dunk rape. How does this when in Madison Square Garden me? What was the field? Was it like a sign of relief for coach physio it felt like a weight off everybody's shoulders, you know, coach FitzGerald would tell us that they don't think about it. They don't talk about it. But then the players afterward joking around the locker room, it just felt like a much later lock home. Now, they knew about they were one loss away from Batasuna longest losing streak ninety history set in ninety three ninety four by the Dallas Mavericks. They know that they have the longest losing streak in franchise history. This so they're aware of those numbers. They don't want to be a part of that history. Tonight, especially the team like the city until you're Spurs. It's not easy, especially for this. And we've got a twenty two games left would throw out the record. We know where we know where we are twelve hundred forty eight what should be the goals over the next six weeks here with this team wanna see consistency. I think so Kevin Knox. You'd wanna see what Frank ntilikina as you're still trying to answer that question. You know, one one and a half almost two seasons. Enter France career, he should get healthy at some points to from this point. I think it was the next to kiss him significant minutes trying to answer that question to try to see if he can be elite guard. What did he do off the ball and where he used offensively so between seven and Saint not some consistency. From those guys. I think the next like what they've seen recently from young player in literal Robinson who who's really played well, especially since the Andre Jordan has come over from Dallas Jordan has done a good job mentoring. Mitch robinson. So I think it's it's the young players on your team and being able to project them forward who is a keeper who can you pencil in for next year? And who do you think won't be around piggybacking off your point there? What's the the Knicks recruiting pitch this summer? You know, who they Bill that around is it around, you know, playing with somebody like Dennis Smith. Knox. Or like what how does that play out? Jordan because you have the two max slots. Pitches almost hey, come come here and tell us who you wanna play with right twenty nine hundred she class, we get that you wanna play with and Kevin Durant. Also simple. You want to change the narrative around. Golden State to win those titles. You come here. And you have success in New York you wanna title in New York. I mean, that's a forever thing doesn't staffers outside of Madison Square Garden and no one. We'll talk about how joined that Golden State to win your earlier title simple message. Anybody else? It's tell us who you wanna play with. We'll try to bring that guy in. That's the voice of in Begley are ESPN next report. And that's reporter upper east coast. Reporter you're listening to insiders. I'm Bobby marks Jordan Schultz ESPN radio ESPN app and Sirius XM channel eighty now. Talking about obviously, the potential free agency this summer. Those are all big question marks largely because of the trade deadline, sending Kristaps Porzingis opening up two slots, but tell me how worried were Knicks fans watching Duke UNC this past week in. Knick fans are still watching the Knicks games. I give them a lot of credit assume most expensive watching every night. So. A big sigh of relief. I think I'm this fanbase when you found out that that sign injury wasn't that serious that he's going to be okay. Because this record twelve weeks at this point. And they're just looking ahead towards the trash and like every other bottom. Feeding MBA franchise. They're looking at nine what you've seen how he can impact their roster. How much he can change the fourteen organization. So, you know, certainly everybody around here was relieved when they found that he was okay. The interesting thing so Zion and wherever the Knicks end up in the draft in the top three. They hope is could that pick then help them creed. With the woman's Francis us, I think that's something. That's that's certainly on the fan bases minded. I'm sure the front office is thinking about different permutations packages. They could put together including that twenty nine team first round pick to try to entice New Orleans Detroit. And before we let you go. What do you think Zion playing in Madison Square Garden would look like do you think it would be just the new coming up LeBron or even even bigger based on his highlights in his dunking ability. I remember the Jeremy Lin Ron and how much energy was in the building night in and night out. How much of the event every home game was your masters. I think it would be just like that. But even more so sign Williamson was here. Because you know, he getting the franchise all three player people talk about him as a prospect the same way, they talks about Davis to bring that kind of talent into this building would give this reasons for optimism something they haven't had in a long time around here in. I look forward to our shared slice of pizza. I know we've been pushing off that day for a long time. He's been the best pizza apparently in New York. But before we let you go last, but not least we have awards given out for the MBA insiders and honors of aren't Oscars. Have you been watching the Oscars tonight? Because I've been at the. Is your feed though, you saw here. A little bit here and there, okay? This has been a Mahershala Ali love fest on the show, but we actually have awards given out today on MBA insiders throughout the course of the night. I want to get your vote for the last category that we're trying to push best leading man. Are you ready for this vote pleased? The nominees are Janta Takubo of the box. PG thirteen Paul George of the thunder James harden of the rockets and Kawhi Leonard of the raptors who is your best leading man right now. I would go right now with John giving Milwaukee's records they're standing in the conference in the role that he plays on that team. I think he's most deserving of that honor at the moment all of Georgia's a close second. Given what he's done for the thunder

"For curry curry. I'm Bagley back some of the dribble takes up very over the top. Seventeen eleven Curry's got thirty four. He's got ten breeze tonight. He ended up with thirty six ten of sixteen from downtown which anybody else, and you're like my goodness. He had ten threes ads. Just another game for Steph curry you heard that ninety five seven the game seven assists in the game as well. Golden state. It's a two point win one twenty five one twenty three over Sacramento. The lead was a little bigger in the fourth king's made a late run Golden State held them off. But there was a concern here. And there is a growing concern with the warriors is it comes time for the postseason the bench. They got fourteen points out of the bench starters one hundred eleven points. The bench gave him just fourteen Igwe dollar with nine leading the way everybody else on that bitch five total points. And so like, I realized curry Katie who had twenty eight points seven blocks five of those on Marvin Bagley in the first half alone. You're fine. You've got incredible. The starting five there's there's obviously none better. Philly included in my opinion. But over the course of a postseason to have this little production from the bench. I think should be a bit alarming again fourteen point from the warrior bench, and it was a topic of conversation with head coach Steve Kerr after the game your Dench players looting. The problem at the finals, not the play to find those because. Finals. Finals. Talk.

"It the original cavalier demand that came to free Cleveland, save Cleveland. He started the trend. He got LeBron there. I give all the credits at the one. You know, the one and done that gets no credit in also the do player that gets no credit in just like a guy who I feel is going to be lost to the sands of time in basketball history, Marvin Bagley really good. If Auburn fans through all dang. I I remembered his existence when we were Minnesota we went to that game the wolves game in he was out there. I was like did this guy. Didn't they go to the final four him? Yes. This is Lou Alday and the brotherhood count. I don't know s s Danny ferry. That would take a lot for people reference there. Just like daddy ferry whenever their head the guy that's currently negotiating possibly behind the scenes with Dell Dem's to send Anthony Davis. LA went to Duke had some not so nice comments about Lou Lou luau, ding when he was on the hawks back in the day. But then I remember that is that is the brotherhood. Yes. That is where the brotherhood said. Oh, that's that's why I got kicked out of the brotherhood. That's why. No, you didn't get kicked out. But it's just you never hear Loule dang like Duke guy. You don't see luol Deng think Duke, and it's weird because like all the other guys I do I don't know was just trying. Maybe that's why maybe there's something to that tape. All right. Let's let's wrap this up. What else we need to talk about before we get out of here? Quickly for me Carolina where in nineteen sixty nine race sixty nine honestly, always on top of the list here. But there were the nine thousand six hundred for Charlie Scott against NC state at eight o'clock. So that'd be a fun game to watch wearing the throwbacks usually when Carolina where some sort of new or something, you know, concocted, by Jordan or Nike. They lose something to keep an eye on as well. So that will be my point to blame. I will actually miss part of that game. I'll be recording a lot. So if they do lose, I didn't watch it. There definitely is probably gonna lose game to put it all out there, and that's pretty much it as far as the the college basketball thoughts. I have I do have a few NBA thoughts. I they're all these rookies we keep talking about Luca, and you know, that sort of taking on the, but like Marvin badly just had this three sixty dunk the other night that I was watching and trae young it's been grade and miles bridges has had some of the most ridiculous dunks. I've seen all. Season. So watching this whole class a rookies, I think is a great class or rookies, we're only talking about a few guys. But I wanted to point it out that I'm watching I'm keeping up with buzz young guys, and they're fun to watch. By talking about a few made. We're talking about one. Yes. Literally only one. Yes. Listen, the one I am willing to come around. I'm gonna say this you can you can record this. I think LUKA is incredible player. I think LUKA what he did a couple of days ago. Was absolutely insane. It is something I will remember for the rest of my life. I cannot say enough good things about Lucas eight. I'm talking, of course, with Luca Garza the big man for Iowa they beat Michigan wanted to give him a shout-out. He had nineteen eight against Michigan lane. Well, took it at Michigan. Yet, playboy all played out his mind, really, really good. You can tell he has like he's more advanced. You know, he's he he he has more advanced understanding of the game because his name is LUKA. So michigan. Are we worried about Michigan Tate? I'm more. I'm slightly starting to get worried about their offense that which is to say like Charles Mathews has completely disappeared on the offense event. He's still playing good defense for the most part. He had a few lazy closeouts against Iowa. We're just kinda got blown by when he jumped out a guys, but his his his offense is not existent in in Michigan as a whole their offense. Just feels like very disjointed like they don't it's very it's very straight..

"You are all that you came from us. All right. Where are we on Sacramento Kings are twenty twenty five after their win tonight five and force and philosophy and sixty slightly negative net rating puts the nineteenth eighteenth and offense and an identical eighteenth and defense fivethirtyeight projects them to have thirty nine wins which were tied them for eleventh in the west and only gives them an eight percent chance of making the playoffs. Probably due to. To the the preseason expectations. And also, I think they have a pretty tough schedule coming up the next would a while. I want to start with a question from Leo which was if you're the kings. How would you handle Willie Cauley Stein's impending restricted free agents because this was I think we answered a very similar one on a previous mailbag. Yeah. I wanted to start with that is I would offer him something low, you know, like basically backup money to avoid restricted free agency. And then it would say getting offer, you know, if that's not enough for you get something because well, I like Willie Stein didn't think there are things. He does. Well, he is not so special that you should overpay for them. And they're going to have the looks like a lot of money mean they could spend spend a lot of it this Thursday. But we'll see. Yeah. And Marvin Bagley in theory is going to be a five-man going forward. We'll see there obviously major questions about his position. Although he has looked pretty darn good at of lady had three sixty Allieu today, which was awesome. And people were like. Oh, really through sixty because he took off like kind of already with his back to the basketball. But like now, it counts three sixty s it was pretty awesome in that. They threw him..

"This is her part on her hair seeing her what her ears look like. And you're not totally in the scene. Right. Right. Right. Do you get totally in the scene? Are you? Are you able to lose yourself in that way? Sometimes. Yeah. Sometimes where your underwear folded on your chest. And you these get what did I do pro perform? But yeah, I guess I do I guess I when do you have time on stage, you do on stage when you really know your lines? So well, and when it's not like a big huge amount of lines. You know, it's easier to have moments in and then also there's sometimes it will be a an emotional thing. That would just kinda the emotion of it will take you. You did a scene the other night where if out like you were I I mean, I shouldn't say anything about the show, but you've taken yourself there. There are moments when I can go there moments, especially usually lasts the second to the last day when I've done the when I memorized the line, right? Well, that I'm I can actually relax into it. Right. But you know, they're fleeting. And and I'm you know, I'm such a control figuring on ice to smoke a lot of pot when I was a kid. I always want. To lose control. And I never really did. It was either. It was either, you know, I'm tipsy or I'm in a blackout. My Pani not folded on my chest wrapped around, and you know. But finding that middle ground is it sounds so lovely and the other day, our director, sit will the truth is ru you are controlling controlled person. And you are too sane to be able to to let yourself go to that place. You're too I'm controlled I'm controlled and I want to in their moments and their fleeting, but they're fleeting. I also think the more you do that the more. I have opportunities to do the kind of work that would require me to lose myself might not the the more. I do that. The more opportunities are have the better. I get at at doing that. Yeah. And I just think that it's, you know, I do think that there's a it's a great experience when you're doing something and then afterward to think, wow. I was just kind of allowing through that. Yeah. Do you know that I do I do actually the scene? I just did with the kid there were. Few moments in there where I could feel myself losing myself in her eyes and in the emotions of but I would catch myself. I would go. Oh, wait, what was that? It's like when you're in water, and you arch your back to float. And then you realize got ample then you catch yourself, and you as this process goes on I will feel more and more safe. That's right. Is to sit into that. That's right. You know, and also. Because of the size of your role. You have an enormous amount of lines. I think that I think that sometimes when there are scenes that are written. So that there's air in there for you to breathe, and it's not just you know, I think that it's easier to let yourself. I don't know. I I it's a great feeling when. Yeah, it is. It is are you do you still take classes I do sometime where I just took a series of classes at UC. You know, they're improv thing, you know, a lot of people now are talking about with improv the game. And so I didn't really know what that was about. And so I wanted to see what that was. And so I went and took those classes, and I've studied with recently with Margie Haber Coon leading pass studied with Howard find scene study. So I do still study because there's always something some area that I'm not comfortable in and I want to get myself comfortable in that area. Well, that's interesting. And so when you walk into one of these classes and the other actors there, and you go, oh my God, Tim Bagley. What are you doing here? Do they say that they don't say that? But usually, I'm the oldest person there are now. Yeah. And I just feel like in a way I feel like well, it's good for them to understand that. If you want lung Chevy in this business, you've got to be somebody that goes back and still is always continuing to learn and. Trying to get better..

We go to Bagley here, you guys know, Tim Bagley from everything but more recently from Gration Frankie now we saw each other at the table reading. Yeah. We didn't have any scenes together. We didn't have scenes together that That we. we. Next to each other at the table read. Yes. And we played Footsie's. No. I was just telling you, we're we're, of course on the set of something else right now. But I was just telling you I don't today or yesterday. You know, it was funny about that. We were talking about this. We're work filming something now, and I don't have any concept of time. Because in the context of doing the show where at night wherein day where three days ahead now, we're doing a flashback. So I where we talking about Jane Fonda today. Was that today that was oh good? Good. Don't know could have been today or could have been yesterday. Yep. What? But you're you're on these shows all the time. So you must live in a constant state of where am I what time is it where am I what time is it? What's reality? What's make? Well, there that Lipper slow civil. It's very blurry line. You know? So you're are you a series regular on grace and Franky? No, I do about seven I've been doing about seven or eight episodes season. How many how many seasons if he'd been on there? I think we've done five season. So since and the first two the first episode, I was just supposed to be in one. And that first season I did two personas second season one of soda and then after that it's been yes. Somewhere between five and eight. I don't know. And you've been on television regularly for many many years. I you you and Michael Yuri did that show workaholic. How did yeah. We had a real good time on there. I love that show. I really liked to three guys were graded. It was innovative. And I I liked it. I had a great I thought that was the gas show on television more gay than than drag. You know? Yeah. Did you guys film that in you know, it takes place in Rancho Cucamonga, where did you film that? Oh god. I don't remember. Remember, I don't remember. I know it was on location somewhere in somebody's home. Yeah. And that's all I know. It was a, you know, I remember being in in somebody's home. And I think it was next to where the three guys actually really lived together. Yeah. Right. Because and so I think it was a home on their block. Yeah. Well, I was an avid a fan of that show. And yet you've become that guy who people know your face on television. But they don't know your name you become that God's interesting yet. Do like that. I can go out and have an immigration people. Don't really, you know, people every once in a while somebody will come up at the I like that. I can I I have you know, I can be private. Out in the real world. I like really I think people go. Hey, I've seen you before. What's you know, what they do? A lot of times people will say, I this is what I get a lot. I get. I know you we've met before. Then I say I hate to say I'm an actor because then they say what have you been on? And then when I missed him say like, oh, I hated that job. Oh, no, not that Yana that NINE feeling horrible. But my credits and so on so so what I do is. I just say, no, I'm Tim Bagley. What's your name? And then they they say we know somebody week that out somewhere, and they say Denno Tommy, Irv AA and say, no. And they list all there, do, you know Bobbie Jo now, and that they go through there yet other gay friends, and I'm like, no, we don't know each other..
