Larry Taunton: Trump Is the Freddy Krueger of Politics

"Say Trump is like the Freddy Krueger of American politics, like he just, he won't go away. And I got to tell you folks, you know, he's like, he's like the honey badger. I mean, the humor in this is to see the harder they go against him and against those who supported him and who love America, the worst things get for them. They are basically, they don't know how not to overplay their hand in the Mar-a-Lago raid was an example. I mean, what might they do next? I mean, we don't know. Yeah, I agree with that. And it's very interesting that we have yet to be given a clear reason for the Mar-a-Lago ray. I mean, they've offered no legitimate illegal reason for searching Barron Trump's room and going through Melania Trump's underwear. I mean, this is the kind of stuff that this government is doing. And at the same time, I mean, I saw a very clever, you know, Babylon bee headline that says, you know, president who protected his own son from the FBI and who raided the home of his opposition says that we are in danger of becoming a third world banana republic. I mean, this is the kind of stuff that you see in the third world.

How to Push Back Against Parasitic Ideas With Dr. Gad Saad

"About activating your inner honey badger, rejecting kind of cowardice. Talk about other technical things people can do. Immediate action steps. That people can take to push back against these parasitic ideas, the woke ideology, that they feel so they feel alone. They feel isolated. What else can people do? So before I answer this in a very pragmatic way, let me just explain some of the reasons why people are driven to inaction. So there's something in ecological economics called the tragedy of the comments. Let's suppose I've got ten farmers, all of whom are using a particular patch of land for their livestock to graze. But the land needs a couple of years to recover. And so we come to a gentleman's agreement all ten farmers that none of us will use the land honors word. I won't violate it. Now, the ideal thing is for me to violate it, hoping that the other 9 people will stand up to their agreement. Therein lies the tragedy of the common. We all end up violating the agreement and then the land can never recover now. How is that relevant to what we're talking about? That's exactly what happens when you diffuse responsibility onto others to speak on your behalf, right? Each of us says, you know what? I'm going to speak. But you know what? It's probably too risky for me because people are not going to like me on Facebook. Maybe I'm going to get fired. Maybe I'll be kicked off Twitter. You know, someone else will do it. So hopefully they will be courageous enough to speak, whereas I can lay in my cowardly action and that hopefully the problem will be solved without me having to bear any costs. So we've already explained psychologically the mechanisms that lead to inaction. The way you turn out to come to answering your question in a direct way, don't diffuse responsibility by taking whichever steps you think are appropriate for your own calculus of risk to reward ratio, right? So

Commentator Gregg Jarrett Discusses the Riveting Rittenhouse Trial

"Greg Jarrod, welcome back to one on one. Great to be with you. Greg, you you've been in this tour tree business of the intersection of law and politics for a while, let's just put it a while. Is this I'm not a lawyer? Greg, and I come to this as somebody who sat in the back of a court once. When I got a speed, I was driving too fast and I had to go to a court salmons and I thought I've never been to a court. So I went in three hours early and I sat in the back just to look at what a county court was like as a newly minted American citizen. And it was fascinating. But it wasn't what we witnessing on TV screens across the nation for the last week. Is this a normal trial? Is this witness badgering is the judge saying, don't you be brazen with me? Is this par for the course? Give us your expert opinion on what we are seeing. Well, courtrooms can be high drama and, you know, centuries ago before television before the Internet before core TV where I worked for 8 years. You know, people would flock to courthouses in courtrooms in some ways it was their source of information, but it was also their source of entertainment and this certainly has not been entertaining, but it has been riveting to watch this unfold. And you see on the screen, Kyle rittenhouse made a compelling witness. He broke down. He sobbed. You know, I really hate to see somebody like LeBron James mock it with laughing emojis if LeBron James had actually watched much of the trial. He wouldn't have made such a stupid

"Any resemblance to the extreme weather that has grown more and more frequent in the real world is entirely deliberate. It's a real concern for young people who have unfortunately inherited this state of the world. Little badger says. She thinks a lot about young people and the struggles they face. Teens are intelligent, their emotionally complex and their experiencing many things for the first time she says. She admits that writing adolescent characters gets more challenging with age as she gets further and further from that period in her own life. I am not always up on the current terms. She says, but I hope my respect for them shines through. Sometimes young aspiring writers will tell little badger that they are in too much pain to write. The advice she gives them is not to force it, especially in the wake of everything they've had to deal with over the past few years. But for a little badger herself, the process of writing a snake falls to earth helped her understand how writing can be a way to cope with trauma. Around the same time she sold el azzo in late 2018, little badger learned that her father had been diagnosed with terminal mesothelioma by March 2020, his condition had worsened. Little badger quit her day job and moved temporarily to Connecticut to help care for him, alongside her mother and her brother. She started writing a snake falls to earth while her father was in and out of the ICU. Working on the book, which is full of so many imaginative and fantastical elements, provided her with moments to escape the sadness that consumed her life. Although her father didn't read much of her favorite genre while she was growing up, he always encouraged her to explore the stories she wanted to tell. I wanted to finish it in time for him to read it, but it didn't work out that way. She says she finished a first draft of the book a few months after her father died. But he was able to see one of the first copies of Eliza in those final months. It was one of the last times she remembers him smiling. Despite writing a snake falls to earth in a period of deep personal pain and amid a global pandemic. Little badger unfolds and narrative that manages to be hopeful, fun and adventurous. It also takes cues from the lipan Apache origin story. Protagonist Nina living in that grim near future version of Texas is desperate to translate a story in a language she doesn't quite understand. One passed down from her great great grandmother about animal people that live on earth. The story will be lost to time if she can't figure out how to read it. And she certain that the little she understands of it is true that animal people exist. Her theories are confirmed when she crosses paths with a snake person named Ali Ali is from the reflecting world a magical land of spirits and monsters and he has come to earth on a mission. His best friend is gravely ill and he needs Nina's help to save him. Nina is relentlessly optimistic despite it all..

"You by audible, Darcy little badger turns our darkest realities into hopeful fantasies. By annabelle gutterman. Darcy little badger has been shaped by stories. The stories passed down to her through generations of family members, the stories she devoured as a fantasy obsessed kid. The stories she now writes in books for young adults and, of course, the story that gave her her name. She was born Darcy Aaron Ryan, little badger coming in the tradition of the lipan Apache tribe upon graduation from high school. Badger is an important figure in the tribe's origin narrative, which says that at first, the earth was empty, and then the creatures of the world below set out to explore it. Pausing on a park bench in Brooklyn, the author describes the significance of her namesake. Badger is the animal person who went up to earth and was responsible enough to then go back down, she explains and say, hey, y'all should go see this thing. Exploring the mysteries of the planet and the beings that may exist beyond our comprehension is what anchors little badgers acclaimed young adult fiction. Her books sink into the depths of humanity's darkest realities, gun violence, grief, our destruction of the planet, but also imagine the spirits ghosts and animals that could exist alongside us. Her second young adult novel, a snake falls to earth, is a coming of age fantasy thriller that flips between the perspective of an asexual teenage lepen Apache girl and a cotton mouth snake. The book.

"I think that angela believe also explorers aid. Ya of what it means to be a native teen. Today's world until we really see that exploration in this book as well of just. What does that mean for. Donna's fontaine how does it impact your daily life. What experiences does she have. How is she treated sometimes differently. Were how does she experienced racism. I think we see a lot of those points explored. But then like i said the other thing. Is that the center. She has lost someone that she loves. It also is in a very mysterious situation or what. She believes to be one at something that similar to trevor and the car accident. It's something that people believe that. They know exactly what happened. But over time with her experiences she comes to realize that perhaps things are not what they seem and so. I think that that threat of unpacking the mystery and of eighteen who is willing to go the distance who will do what it takes in order to get to the root of the problem. We really see that. Donna's fontaine also. She is also a really courageous character. Who is willing to do whatever it takes. And so i love i think. I admire alonzo a character and donna's fontaine's character in a similar way. So i feel like that doesn't have anywhere. Near as many of the fantastical elements as far as speculative fiction. But i do think at the core story. There's a lot of similarities so again that's that's angeline bullies fire keepers daughter and it is a great book. That's still not. Tb are and i just keep seeing i just want read it so badly. have gotten to but gosh every time you all talk about it. I just i deserted. I want to read it so badly. Yeah you'll love it. what about you. Sara what's your parrying. Well like jen. I hesitated to talk about this one. Because i feel like i've talked about it several times on the podcast but when i was thinking about lax away to me i thought about daniel. Clayton's the bells for one thing. This story centers on camilla beauregard. Who is a strong female character. Who is really fighting for her family. Which are the other bells and what she believes is right and i feel like she has that connection to la and then the other thing that really stood out to me was the way this is a fantasy book and i felt like lettering had a lot of social commentary on racism in class. And i think it donald clayton does a really good job just as as darcy. Little badger does I thought down donyell. Clayton did a really good job of making this book very accessible but also making some very strong statements about racism in class within the fantasy world of the bells which i think was also present in Away so i thought when i was reading latch away i thought about the bells and i felt like that's why i had to stick with that as you all know. I love this book. I love the bells and so i wanted to talk about it one more time. Yeah i think there's connections make a lot of sense. I think it's like our books took different facets of alas away so very different parents but yeah okay so let's end our discussion with bookish hearts jen. What number bookish hearts are you gonna give away. This one is a four and a half for me. Okay actually this was a solid for for me. what about you. Sarah stiffer me. "Creepy. So that's the summary of laps away. We're going to talk it as we always do with a few different points and then we are going to give bookish hearts at the end and our parents so first of all is overall impressions. Ashley what were your overall impressions. So i really enjoyed this one. It wasn't what i expected. I did not. there would be some magical elements. I kind of remember jen saying a long time ago about her pet dog kirby and that he is this ghost dog and so i remember it a little bit about that and was interested in that part but i didn't expect it to be as much in the realm of the paranormal as it is. I think this is if you haven't read yet and you're listening. This is a great mood. Read for october and a lot of fun and atmospheric and that way. I thought that what worked really well for me was the connection that alaska has to her heritage into our past and the ways that that gives her strength in her present at all of that was really lovely and i also really liked her relationship with jay. I liked her relationship with her parents to. There were a lot of things as far as the community relationships. And the connections to each other. That i thought were really fascinating and i did absolutely love. Lots ways connection with her dog kirby so he is a dog who was her pet in real life and who is now her goes pet and i found all of that the connection between them and the way that that gave her power but also protection. I thought all that was really beautiful to help out you. What were your overall impressions. Yeah i really love this. This was a reread for me. I originally right it as a buddy read with the mamas but club and yet the cover. I think gives a very different feel and of course we should not just be covered blah blah blah. But the cover gives a very different feel of the book than i think the book ends up being and i do remember that the way it started. Where it launches you into this modern world and immediately you figure out that there's kirby in vampires and yet was interesting and then this time i reread it on audio which i thought was great by the way and i. I was prepared for that. I was much more focused on the interesting way that darcy little badger takes the speculative fiction elements of the book and yet the fantasy elements of the book and they can access with alas waste past and her heritage and that sense of story and it stories are important that regardless of how true to life they are there's trees in them and i think that's really interesting when you throw in the vampires and then i won't do the spoiler yet but what we ultimately find out is behind her cousin's death and i think all of that is really woven together so in in such an interesting way. I think it's a really innovative puck. And yeah so. I really loved that..

"A retelling of exactly how the myth originally was and how much of it. is the creation of jennifer saint. But i'm absolutely loving it. It's been great so far so again. That's our way and is by jennifer. Saint that one's on my list. I love a retailing. Yes i was surprised. I i've been together. You had read it. And i was surprised. I haven't read sir say either. I've heard both of you rave about that. But golly ashley that one sounds really fascinating and compelling yeah it is and it also has been great to do on audio I think i would enjoy reading it. But i will say that as much as i loved searcy and i loved it it actually took me a long time to work my way through it especially the first half of the book and i haven't found that with this but it similarly complex and so i wonder if the listening is really helping with momentum but yeah it's it's great. It's great story and just a really interesting. I mean like searcy. In some of the other retailing's it's a really interesting examination of the role of women in the time. And how they how they saw themselves or could have seen themselves in this larger setting where the men stories are. What dominates and so. That's all really fascinating. That sounds great. What about you sarah. What are you reading. I am reading a book for my in real life book club. I'm reading good company. It's by cynthia. Da mcsweeny and i am loving it. It is an examination of marriage in relationships and being a parent the book centers around these two couples who have been friends for a really long time had been involved in this theater company Good company for part of their lives. Most of them are either actors or acting. Adjacent one is a surgeon. One of the men is a surgeon but it really explorers how we love each other but we can hurt each other. And i am finding it really interesting examination of relationships. It is not super plot driven. I feel like it's more of a character study. But i mean there is plod but in there are things that you're working toward but it's really funny because in my book club the passable books that we've read i have. They were okay in this. I am just loving. But i'm finding that i'm opposite of most members of the book club. They are not liking. This one is much. But i just think it's great. I think at where. I am right now my life. I really appreciate the examination of how hard life can be sometimes in how much we love each other thirty other in even though we might love being parents and partners in all that that sometimes it's just hard you have to figure out how you make it through those things. I mean. it might be the right book at the right time. But i just. I'm really enjoying the complex relationships. And the law that is the underlying the relationship between these two couples. And i really think it's great so i'm excited to see how it ends but i think the ride. I think this is one where the journey is going to be as fulfiling as the destination. So i'm just really liking it and i think it's great on audio. I actually was able to get it from my library on audio. I have the hard copy book..

"Yeah there's there's like did other teams across the world right now that i could see making it out of groups in worlds. Just you gotta figure out. Who's drawing hill. There's going to be a group with an l. p. l. seed in elsie k. seed. Nps g talon Clever is gonna get stuck on air with them and own six again. It's going to be the number one seed. Oh gosh flash. Tsm it's going to be tsm two zero six. That'd be would be so unfortunate for them to draw the hardest group in probably world's history. I want to say what's the craziest thing to me is that. Ps cheese looking this incredible and with all the rumors were hearing about for the past like just a couple of days. they're about to sign the greatest footballer to ever play the game in messy so things are getting even crazy. I wanna push back. Badger said that we need to move on fanatic orangey s. Kt in the same group in two thousand eighteen. Yeah but it also depends on which lc which because of team. Because i'm just saying. I can't imagine a harder group than that win fanatic. Was that good. That's season that was by far the hardest group that has ever. That was actually a really good. That's a good one. But i think this one has a chance if with. Ps g insert elsie. K team insert p. team. And if it's like any you team like if we get something spicy like a g two. Could you imagine gee to in this group. That would be like i would want to be a three three across the board and then have to tie-break full the. Oh my gosh. I think i love this so much. But we're definitely getting a little bit of yourself so we got some other stuff to cover here including the return of an e you mainstay visit. Chachi is actually returning slightly to the professional scene. He announced that he was actually joining mad. Lines themselves as the top lane coach Which is really fun. 'cause chachi coming from you oh l. and now coming back to help out splice which is where the original team he also came from. I think this is a really really fun..

"On memorial day. Nineteen ninety nine. The helzer brothers attended a murder mystery. Dinner held at their local mormon temple that evening reportedly dressed in all black and thus stood out from the rest of suburban attendees. Most of whom were start shirts and press chino's. It was at that event that justin met don goodman a single mother mother in her mid twenties. Who had recently moved into town and was working a grocery store desperate to find a direction in her life. She decided to join the mormon church although she was said to be an outcast. Much like the helzer brothers will. Don began dating just shortly after the murder mystery dinner. She was reportedly fascinated by his cares. Medical brother taylor managed to convince her to join a self awareness. Seminar which consisted of spending a few days inside a windowless room while a facilitator aggressively badgered them to confront their inner demons which sounds like most university classes. I attended so not that crazy but no absolutely ridiculous After completing two of the seminars three levels don began receiving spiritual guidance from taylor. He had become completely unhinged by this point telling her that sometime in january two thousand it was his destiny to take over the mormon church by all means necessary. He also began calling himself. Don and his brother the children of thunder claiming that it was their mission to create a state of peace and joy for everyone.

They were so pumped for tony. And i think that just it speaks to what. What just a good person. A great teammate. He was how he gave everything he had in every game that he had. I just thought it was a fifth of like this is crazy. The other team just beat us now and our guys. Wanna go celebrate with tony. Terrific conversation with tony granato. You know one of those interviews and we've been fortunate on rain drags over the past two seasons to have so many where you know. Yeah you have these guys for twenty minutes. Guy really good news for the player though and i mean let's be honest. The player needs good news more often than the sports book. So while while it's certainly effecting the bottom line right now i. "Manager. You've got to put a better team together. And he goes no cap space paying all guys so you have to accept that that's just the way it is. The delicate balance is a hard thing. Look tampa bay in dallas. They have legitimate the floor and for that matter to they have legit advantages through their tax situation. Seattle's have another one. They don't have a state tax matters and it matters so you can say to someone. Hey look you're gonna be a free agent you're gonna make seven million dollars a year. We think on the open market but here. It's six forty two million and that's not even a haircut. That's just the difference in st. Pat's i mean the musicals. Numbers facetiously. I don't i don't have the tax gap in front of me. But those are legit advantages. This is not as cut and dry as people think but the players or using their influence. They're using their voice a lot more than they have in the past. And i think the teams have to do the same thing like kay. This is the way it is. You don't wanna play. Don't sit at home and you don't get paid and i'm not treating you not at this point unless the right deal comes to me so sick. They're russ growing your skates but in the meantime if you wanna come back come back and play that way we can get something for you you can fluff your trade value and maybe there's a deal down the road. Well we're talking buffalo and we'll shift over to coaching here. But i don't see any way that i comes back. Just based on how conversations around kevin adams that regressed heated up in the last number of days jackals he. He's gonna get traded so now just think of complications of that jackals a tremendous talent. What's his name. What's that neck areas fine area like. What's it gonna be like maude all five. If you're asking me for your top young prospects your first round pick a roster player and another play. And i've got to give you that and i don't know what the long range you wis. I need to have a little more certainty if i'm the acquiring team and that's going to be a complication not deal. No question big coaching news. This week. Right odd brindamour gets a three year extension with the carolina hurricanes on the same day. He wins the jack adams and gerard gone hired by the new york rangers. To get is that i. I don't think anyone expected rod brind'amour's gonna leave the gains so your thoughts and his extension now in winning the jack adams over some buddies of yours in edison was strong in the mix and a second. Joel quenneville finished third jerry. Bednarz four might sullivan. V but hard argue with jack. Adams going to rod brind'amour's no i. What a terrific job. He's done in carolina. Sometimes the coaches the looks like the right fit in the right place. And that's what rod looks like in in carolina. When i'm watching those postgame things his speeches unreal when. I'm watching him behind the bench. I'm like man. I would love to have played for him That's my first thought. All time like how could you not be connected to play for him. And there'll be days when you wanna play for him and you're like oh my god. He is asked today like he's hard today..

"You don't have those limits your limited by how long they're willing to stay at work with you and you can hire your own people to work with you in the aussies. There's no limit to the amount of work they can do. Just you know being smart not overtaxing. Their body really So i'm excited about. I'm excited to see that. Continue and it makes me. It makes me more comfortable with his health injury. Wise because what what we normally see with running backs specifically running backs across the board what an athlete greatly increases the amount of work. They're doing like when they increase the physical toll. Like if you push your workouts to the next level all of a sudden you you're going to be more like susceptible to injury When you're taking a giant leap in the amount of carries and the amount of hits you're taking you're more susceptible to injury and with the nause harris who didn't get it wasn't like ever getting tons and tons of carries and touches in the end in college. He wasn't that guy. You're looking at potential ramp up in usage. It's good to know that he is already like prepared physically. He's been training himself for this for a long time. So he's it's exciting for me. It's it's exciting to hear that that's continuing and really i. I could quite easily go on about nausea and all the great things we've heard about him easily through the end of the show and about ten others past that but Just to continue to move along through stuff ben set. He complimented dwayne haskins. In just want. I just want that to to marinate will. He complimented quarterback the only other time he's done that in his near twenty year career. That i can think of is talking about josh dobbs being genius and if i recall correctly the question was more so senator around mason rudolph and he deflected it to turn to talk about his buddy josh dobbs. How smart he has now. she loves him. Does that mean something you are. You like also like okay. Maybe the steelers might have gotten something like it might not be like. We don't know if it's going to be anything but like he's complimenting another quarterback to me that means at least something does it to us. Well yeah jay's washington said he throws really hard so he's got a lot of compliments on his arm talent right and how pretty his releases. How how pretty that is a again. It's still football and shorts. You can throw beautiful ball but can you. Can you make a play under pressure. I think is more important. Like devon hodges through an ugly football didn't have a lot of talent but under pressure he was better than like he wasn't practice so he actually wanted us some games. If there's guys who can throw a pretty ball that's fine. You could throw pretty ball but if you can't make plays under pressure you're not gonna win in the nfl so for me. I like hearing that. I like hearing the positive 'cause when it tells me is at least. It's not a problem. If dwayne haskins was a problem if you were someone like they wouldn't compliment him even if he did look great right so there's a little bit there. I think it's showing the steelers players and coaches have a little more investments in him That his contract would denote and other than that man. I can't. I can't wait till preseason like get to see you know dwayne haskins out there as this. Is this boy that guy. That's been been build up by all the teams kind of the golden boy mason rudolph who kind of getting overlooked. I really hope we see a situation. Where like dwayne haskins is like. All right i found a place. Let's go out and take job and you've got mason rudolph with a bit of his chip on his shoulder playing playing and saying hey. I'm not bad. I'm that's my spot and you're not taking i. I wanna see that. I wanna see a fire under these guys. I wanna see some competition. I don't honestly some great preseason football after ben leaves you know what if i wasn't writing for this website i would. I would make a point of watching. Every single preseason game to watch that competition is going to be probably the most rilling storyline. I can think of in my lifetime of steelers preseason football so like that's something to watch. Yeah if you're thinking about like what was the last time we had to backup quarterbacks. This good really. That good and also young charlie. Back to were former starters. But there wasn't competition their bachelor's old like left which was older. No one was. They weren't on the they. Weren't you know on the ascension. I i think it's i think it does have a chance to be a special special thing to watch the preseason. Yeah it's going to be a lot of fun just to continue to move on bended salot so i don't think we'll get through all of it tonight but one of the other things. He did say he mentioned that. His elbow was completely restructured reconstructed. I should say that. That is a real word. Is not just ben being his typical diva self. Like i to me. It's on like it like a couple agreements. Were just kinda reattachment said. It was complete restriction. Reconstruction i did again. They restructured his elbow contract. Exactly which another thing they about but anyway do you think ben just full of it right now are like was that way more than What who were actually led to believe is i. You never know with ben. It was such a ben conversation. Oh just like oh my elbow. Yeah th had to glue my arm back on dude and as gluing it on. I'm like steelers anything you want. You want me to walk your dog. I love you guys. you're my favorite. I love all of this. Is the franchise. I ever want to have anything to do with the history of my life like it's bad. It's been being ben. Even.

A good chunk of his life to his dog and i want to explore their partnership Damon i've known you for a while and you are definitely someone that has an irrational connection to your dog. I'm confident of that. After i've seen you interact with your dogs. Tell me what kind of dogs that you have and what you do with them. So i have. What's called a tackle a dog and most people see in say what kind of mixes that. It's a working wirehaired. Dachshund a lot of people are like oh that a schnauzer kind of terrier mixes that and they're the wirehaired version of docs. It's generally considered the wire. Hairs are the most hunting and working oriented probably from some old terrier genetics. That helped give them. The wire coat tackles are also very much their bread to the international standard of the fbi. One forty eight. I believe it is standard for a working dog in the description is working dog above and below ground. Most people here in the united states. Don't think of a dachshund as a working dog but that's what they were bred to do in europe in fact that the breed standard is all around jeff circumference which is based on animal holes the size of badger hole the size of a fox hole the size of a rat hole there to macias hunters. They're very persistent dogs. They're very independent. Docs in in europe. A lot of places require a dog for big game recovery by law so tackle yeager is registered dietrich. The Origins of the Phrase 'Badgering' Will Surprise You

"Mattie we are back with an episode of a fan favorite animal slander this series where we look at common phrases about animals and find out if there's any truth to them that's right so today we are looking into the term badgering and this one isn't as straightforward of the others. I was trying to figure out. You know our badgers particularly tenacious. Are they insistent. Like do they know each other more than other critters. And what i found is that there's absolutely no badger driven reason for this phrase The experts that i talked to said generally speaking. Badgers are pretty conflict. Avoidance actually in the origins of the word. Badgering are pretty dark and not at all. No no all right. It sounds like we're to blame for what is it. So what. I have been able to find at least is that the phrase probably comes from this horrific practice of badger baiting which has a history in a few places including the uk where people sick dogs on badgers for sport like the dogs are trained to find and pull the badgers out of their homes or confined space and attack them and over again. So the word badgering is probably actually based off. Doug behavior not anything. The badgers have done. That is objectively horrible. Yeah yeah the badgers are pretty much always killed. The dogs can get injured and killed two. It's awful and it's been legal for a long time in places like the uk but even with increased protections for badgers throughout the years. It's still a problem. I guess case closed yes. Slander mattie this has been very dark and very bleak. Did you put us through this.

"To this way. She made have decided that like even though she's your close friends she has decided like okay. This is who i want to be with all the time. And there's no having that conversation. Yeah it's also different when 'cause she even says in here that she's single. Because i feel like. I think that's probably the angle where they'd be like. Oh just because you're jealous not it either. I think you should have. The conversation was like hey have noticed that now when you hang out with me only hang out with your boyfriend as well as it. Is that something that you do consciously is it because you don't wanna hang out with me alone and actually have that conversation asked the question without being a jerk about it just be like. Is this something like you know. That's funny all my female friends of i'm thinking of i think want to get away from their people at times like i've never had to be like. Could he not come but we but it is fun to do stuff double dating but then it's not with you and the other friends say the nice revolt. I think it's good to just tell. I think you can also ask people like sometimes with lauren. Say like it's kind of implied. It's just like girls day. You know we right. But i think i said guys day it's guys day guy and then you can bring your wife or girlfriend want jack to come to everyday. It's not even that. I don't like the other people it's like. Sometimes you just want to have a day. That's like you're not thinking about like you know all also it's like if you're having a day where you're hanging out with your guy friends and then you pay an over in like the girl sitting on the guy's lap and they're like kissy-faced like it does change the dynamic. It does change the way that people talk in the room. It does change the way that we're feeling. How are we supposed to talk about our fares. Today's anyway i have. I have another. It's almost like same situation different perspective. Which is i have a friend who whose girlfriend never wants to hang out with me. And i feel it. I feel it. I feel like she doesn't like me or something. And this is one of your good friends. Yeah and you knew him before her. Oh yeah. I've known him for many many years and I can tell his girlfriend like they never hang out with me like they never make plans with really. Yeah and i'm like never have a falling out. No did you have sex with her to no no But it's funny because they'll hang out with other friends They won't hang out with me. And i'm like i even said something i actually said. Hey is there an issue. Is there something that i did. Because i i know that. Like when given the opportunity she never ever is around when you and around like you. Never bring her. Yeah and we never. You'd never make plans with me and her and she never. It's just it's a weird thing it's like okay. I kind of felt like it's okay. She doesn't like me. And that's that's fine. But then he's like not no no that's not it at all it's not at all i'm like well again. It is weird. You know two thousand. Twenty one fucking. Yeah miss pig. They're gonna follow you. Follow them harder. God right they're gonna take it high. You take it as low as you. Isn't that the new michael. Michelle obama michael honey. Don't get on this. you're going. "Law. Let's do it and now it's time for the camper of okay. This is a longer one. Okay i'm down coming from mia mia right. That's how girls say it. Mia remember she used to be cool. That well my slash mia miami a-. She's my girlfriend brings. Her brings her voice to the ground. So now my girlfriend two words brings her boyfriend everywhere. And it's driving me crazy. They've been dating for about eight months and missed just having special time with her. I don't know why she all of a sudden thinks they're a package deal. Is this now something that i have to deal with or should i tell her risk hurting her feelings and coming off as petty. I'm single so. I don't want her to think i'm jealous. It's just that. I need some time with her and not him walk. I luckily do not have never had this issue really. Yeah i have one hundred percent in. Maybe it's that. I put a lot of pressure or stock in the the idea of having alone time with someone having good conversation without it and i also love. Obviously i love talking with a group of people And i'm sure people have wanted that with me as well. I remember there was this one situation. I mean this isn't really answering her question. So great But i had a boss who was also very close friends with and i really looked up with him at him as a mentor and one time he was like. Hey what are you doing on tuesday. And i'm like oh man. I'm gonna nothing and he's like do you want to hang out all my god. Yes like i thought like he home. I gotta get to hang out with this guy. Who i think so highly of and then i got to put a lot of weight off and then tuesday comes and me up. And he's somebody else's in the car and i was like. Oh okay what's up. I didn't really like that other guy that much. And he's like. Oh yeah we're going to pick up these people and then we're gonna go do this okay and in my mind i was like i just really wanted to spend a day with you. Maybe i was feeling that was like i was important in some way right. That's a different answer to this question. But like i do have friends who no matter what when i invite them over. I have this one friend who is straight up say like hey we're having a guys night we're just gonna sit around and drink and play video games just like hanging out with a couple of guys. Okay great cool. Thanks for the invite night of who do you mind blank. Combs and i'm like okay. Yeah what do i say. Well it's a weird question right. So sometimes i'll be like well. We were just kind of doing a guys night. Oh okay we'll well. I don't think i'm gonna come and it was like married. Yeah so he wants to bring his wife everywhere i guess. Maybe she wants to. And i'm not listen. I want a dog on a couple who is constantly wanting to spend time with each other. That's great but i do think for me. Balance is important. And that means like you know when i if i met a woman today right and i was deciding that i'm going to have a relationship. Well i've already spent forty some years in this life on my own in and out of relationships but like the i m my own person. I don't think that when you get in a relationship you become that other person. I think that you still should have girls nights and guys nights and whatever you should have trips without each other and with each other it should be a balance of all things. And i think when you have kids. I don't have kids. But like i think when you have could. You should have times when you're together with the family and times when you're just a couple off doing your own thing. Gosh times when dad takes care of the kids and moms takes care of the kids and he's like allows you to have that balance of both personal friend time alone time couple times there should be a balance. I think i'm that annoying friend that i've always asked like someone will have a newborn and i'm like can you not bring it really. I think i mean if kids to me are like four and older. I get excited and i actually want my friends to bring them around because it kind of just adds is also element of fun but like i have a friend that i am meeting to friends for picnic soon. And she has to bring her son because honestly there's no other care for and a little part of me is almost like can we reschedule. Because i just. I don't know it just then becomes all about the baby and i don't want to look at it. I don't know it's just kind of weird. Say my friends though. Maybe this is a bad advice. I'm going to try this. And it's weird this time in the world right but i was gonna say what if you made an appointment or got tickets to something just you and that person and then you said hey i want to take you out for the day but just have you girl day. Cool with that pedicures. And then if she's like oh then it's like all right. Well then this person is this person's telling you like they don't want to do anything with you alone. Only one have their boyfriend. That's a codependency in my opinion and you have to either accept that and that's the ticket. Now that's the new deal. I truly believe that you shouldn't try to change someone. You should allow them to be themselves and accept that or tell yourself that this is not some and someone you want to around so you know Just a a quick examples like my mom would always say like. I wish your dad did this. I wish you dad did that this or know. He doesn't want to travel. I'm like okay. But he's telling you who he is and either accept him for who he is and be with him or decide who he is not who you want to be with anyone and go do something. Excuse me go do something else right. That's okay. I know that seems very cold and harsh. But it's like we're that friend comes in. This is now a friend that unfortunately may have to like now..

tuesday Mia today mia mia two words mia both one hundred percent one situation miami about eight months four forty some years one couple times one friend one time single guys couple

"My mind conscious and then a minute later. I asked if they would pay me to go to the podcast movement. And they said no really disgusted with me. He thought like this girl's anti really weirded myself into non quirky and endearing way. I wonder what because you know why the people were to cool and new or maybe not. I was really hoping that you were going to lose your shit on them. No you just you like. I think you or any of my really good friends could pick up what i was doing because after i finish that i kind of was like. Is that what you want. am i missing. Anything like vomit cereal. Have i covered. Everything and i was like weird weirdly took control but it was like kind of insulting if it was like michelle would know exactly like how sage listen definitely times that i say something funny quote unquote funny and the people around is like that's weird and i'm like okay. You guys aren't my people and these are just not people but maybe unhinged a little bit. I always feel this feeling of like as much inner work as you can do or as much self-confidence like i feel like throughout my my weekly work workweek. I feel very confident. In who i know and just kind of like in my group but then all it takes for me is like one party or one thing to kind of show me. Oh god i am not as evolve at all to be and this really showed me because it was like it was the cool people mixed with my. I like recognize their facial. News as making fun of me. Which i don't even know. I don't know this to be true. But i felt like a little baguio comedy i do. I do hate that kind of though when you can see some typing and someone else's laughing you're like okay like maybe they're just like talking about them and that they know. I bet nobody can tell that we're fucking each other. You never know what they're saying. But like it is a little like it's a bummer. It's like you know someone's making fun of your sweater like your hair is awful or that your faces ugly that you're just an unlikable person who knows who knows what they could have said about you. There's millions of things. But like everyone was like i like rice krispies. Cocoa puffs for me. And i'm just like the vomit came out pick so that and then i like i think this is regular life your favorite cereal. Yes is it lightly sweetened. Yes cinnamon cinnamon. Life is actually my favorite cereal. So that's funny that you like the white the white what it. I like the dark web. I like it saga for sure. A true story about my mom's hair getting wrapped in the little leave the life. We've what 'cause like my mom's lose hair would get an everything. Oh loose hair. I thought when you said it sounded like her hair was dipping into the cereal bowl and then it was just like the life was sticking to the hair and that was like this this mess and then your own hair live it would fall out and it would get like socks in germany in the little things. No no no i know. And that just also made me feel like Maybe happy and grateful that. Like all these things. I do are usually. I love being kind of part of like ten different companies rather than being like part of one. Yeah you don't want to be in because then people will get to know you and that's a problem. That's a real problem. Oh okay male. You're just off the rails again. I think yes. I think so. Well okay let's switch those gears like i always like switching gears. I think you'd think very i wanted picture. What's happening in your mind. Picture actual years. Now i do because you said you know the not the guy like a hot rod american car from the nineteen sixties but let's camper the week that.

"Afterwards, Honey Badger sounded a little wanting to me. You should really be in words. I'm not going to repeat him like the honey Badger doesn't say some stuff. Sometimes that my Children can hear. The quote that struck me was the honey Badger Tyrann Matthew saying I've never seen that side of Tom. We've all seen it. We just didn't recognize in the gleaming smile and the perfect kids and the Model wife. And the head coach and Bill Belichick, who got a lot of the glory, man. Where is that guy? I had that guy's phone number and just joking. I texted the guys time to benefit of the executive producer, the show produced to underscore Tom and a few other trace and stew I used to work with when we did the show in the evenings. Should I text I've never used that numbers for it's been like 10 years more than 14 years. His home number is his mobile number. I'm assuming they still worked. Diligent doesn't seem like the kind of guy that would change a phone number. Who knows? Bro, So I didn't In part because Why hurt someone who's in pure existential, emotional, physical, spiritually and mental pain. Kind of a horrible person would do that. I think it's too the one that Bill Belichick just turn the TV off like a lot of fans did Bad games. Bad game. Shame on the officials. Terrible game terribly officiated game not easy to watch. None of that takes away from Brady's greatness. It just doesn't It just doesn't And, um National nightmare is not over. Month, Jim Nance. Can't just let us pretend that Darkness is going to go away, huh? I've seen Lord of the Rings order was supposed to get destroyed and the rain goes in the thing and the light comes out, right? I'm short like a hobbit. Why can't I get in any like a hobbit for crying out loud? Please let me watch this game. Like this is why I didn't bet on Patriots games. I didn't bet on the Atlanta game. 28 3 like ruined everyone there, gambling, not may Like I hadn't put money on this because I'm smart. Well, I'm not smart. I'm just delayed stupid. I just waited a long time to be dumb, too. My bet against Tom Brady. It's not over, folks. As we heard at the celebration yesterday. While Brady's it was hard, I could hear it. But it was hard to watch the screen because Brady's freaking smile was gleaming. So much obliged. My sunglasses on it was night time here in the West Coast. I'm sure it was wherever you were. Here is Tom Brady talking about the fact he's coming back next year on CBS on there's more to come right time..
