"Bacar. What are you doing well. This has not worked out. So i will i guess. Help throw rocks at the scaly beasts. You want to try and grab a rock metal. Knock somebody okay. Then there is definitely one you can do so who are you aiming for. You've got slow poke speedy and half What's the first one. The one step is of course you will go ahead and roll strength check Sooner that'd be a fourteen. That is going to nick half wet. He's been next a couple of times now with iraq and it also knicks. Slow poke as it passes by so you did some damage to them but you did not knock them off. You do have a Attack desert anything else you want to do. They're not close enough to even hit with a sword right. Your arm span is like if they were. He's only human like five feet away. Maybe five ten feet away. Maybe you can Reach down attack. But no i don't i don't really want to lose my serve by like accidentally dropping it so just throw it at them. Yeah just just chuck your on your sort always works. Check your daylight savings sorta. I still have a long sword. So i could just throw that you'll have tried throwing your long normal long sword suck at if you wanna try thrown by if you're gonna do it as a rage that's your tax not your fun. That's twelve you throw. Your non daylight savings soared down at. I assume half went again because you seem to have an proficiency tobacco Are you proficient in range. I think so. I think really good with this year. Simple weapons and martial weapons. I don't think that. I don't think that counts ranged. Probably not i think there's specific ranged one. Yup i'm negative that yeah so Youth row again. I assume at halfway unless i'm mistaken Being that he's furthest up and you miss him completely and you hear your sword bury itself in the ground at the base of the tower with just a saddening plus two so. "You get caught up in your emotions in you. Respond to things based on feelings instead of truly exploring what's going on or what's being said and listening. The typical habit is the moment. You hear something you don't like you immediately launch into your self defense mode and try to prove it all wrong and plead your case of why you're right and the other person's wrong at that point you're no longer listening you're arguing. This is so interesting to me too because we get so consumed in trying to force someone to hear us right raising our voice interrupting them telling them they're wrong demanding to be heard in doing all of that. You're not even extending the same courtesy to your person. The other person on the other side of this conversation wants to be heard to if you work with me privately as your coach and you've probably been in these conversations with me and sometimes i think my clients get a little irritated with me because it seems like i'm taking the side against them right. If you're telling me about an argument or disagreement with your spouse or partner. I will almost always start with trying to see their side of the story. And i'll tell you why bacar's as human beings we are incredibly selfish by nature. We will almost always think i of ourselves. The knee-jerk reaction start pointing fingers at the other person and create all the reasons. It's their fault and all of your insisting on being right. There are a couple of things happening. One you're dismissing the person on the other side of the conversation into your caught up in your feelings and at that point you're not being fair or rational remember. The person on the other side of the discussion deserves to be heard to. They're probably being mistreated to. You're probably being unfair to them. Just like you think they're being unfair to you and when someone gives you feedback about yourself. Shut up and listen because there's probably some truth in it even if it stings a bit even if what..

"That's my calling to be that it's. Best beyond anything I'd ever imagined, but one of the things is we make real. We do all our commercials. We have other companies we tell them to. You know it's just a couple of my people. Inside might be able. We make a real and you know it's an anomaly. No products have made it sustainable on TV every time you see a my pillow neither breaks. Breaks, even that one exact one either breaks even or makes a little bit, because I don't need the other stores and stuff I wanted I. Did saw this never been done before we are? You're making your directly to the consumer directly to the to the the the public and and one of the things is is i. think it's the Real, the summit and and You know I've been on TV not true point. Eight million times I heard that number I had fact check, and I'm going what? Is this like. To me is beyond anything I've ever seen, but once again that platform to get that fout firm of trust Annaba realness. Never you know it's just. This is what this is. Who I am and I'm not going to change and put out there. That's why I've always heard you won't see. One of my commercials were wearing that cross and people like to see what's. What's real? And the and it transfers over I M on TV I'm not something different. That's all. Can you know most of the things you see like the one beck in the man in the mirror west I'm over by the bed. We used we one whole day of Tapie where we're and what were there with that Koppel in the man of the year? Now that commercial and I'm going and I'm holding it and I go I'm a. you're going to wake up in the morning and. We just thought that natural stuff in. The streets and they go. Well, it's just so it's just. The Jingle so powerful to that was sounds cool. Well it's just so obvious also that you were ahead of the curve, because now because of podcasts and youtube in every those almost everything in the digital space is is direct to consumer right, everybody's using often code Ruben or whatever it might be to sell their products, so so you through through going deep on television. You actually model something that now really works online, too. Well you know it's it's it's depends what you pay for the online. It's just like TV OUT ON TV. You know I'm very blessed. All of a sudden I cannot I could never make. The ads on CNN I'll say straight up I couldn't put out there because they were still charging for a bigger viewership from back in the day. So I quit. It didn't matter what I did, but just recently I was ever to break even on them, so I'm quitting right here I. got one of their Ho saying bad things about me and all of a sudden. My commercial comes up. To wear my cross near you go and That's pretty cool that that's about as good as it gets. Okay, so let's talk about the CNN host, and and what happened over the last couple of weeks, so obviously we're in. We're in the middle of Corona virus. President trump gives a speech at the Rose Garden updating people on what's going on. He's been doing pretty much every day. And then he brings you up. I, he sort of told people what you were doing, but you know and I'll just tee it up to you. I'll just let you tell the whole story. What was what's that morning like? Did you know you were going to the Rose Garden? Bring everybody back here to I'm going to create a back in time. You have to know what the the part where I quit everything. And how did I end up with me being friends with the President United States I think to have that. You kinda grasp what helping there. When I, when I quit only drugs and everything by the grace of God, I had never voted I. Didn't know a liberal from a conservative Democrat from a Republican I knew nothing and making care it will politics affect me. That's what I thought. But when I came out of crack addiction everything, it was like coming out of a coma. I look around what's going on here? My friends raw employees. They're losing. Their houses had already lost mine We got a president given money to an evil empire. We got halftime above of baseball tournaments lowly, and they're given out first place trophies go. Watch is going on I mean. Everything had changed this crazy well anyway. Then you get up to two thousand sixteen I explained a lot more in my book but I get invited by Donald Trump. Before. He was president to cut to come to new. York's to New York City to trump tower I get their private meeting on August, fifteenth, two, thousand, and sixteen. Now I walk in there. It was just him and he goes Mike you obviously across you go is trump this divine appointment. I for some reason I wasn't nervous. He just was a while just a normal guy. You know we started telling me all these things about the told me whatever you do. Don't tell you an extract data. That's one of the things I told him by the way I was an extract attic. I got him in his big platform for addiction. He goes I want wipe out the drugs. I'm going to build a wall there for you. He told me about how jobs back and manufacturing back here to the US mypillow and he has questions about that. I mean that's all he really cares. Yes, no agenda other than he cares about our country. I've been everywhere from people who need with four forks to know forks and I'll tell you one thing I've learned in all those years beaten up our I could judge character and I'm telling you. He was just doing i. mean it was amazing. I walked out of there half or later. He's GonNa be the greatest president history I walked to his employees because I couldn't believe when I just. talked to so many of employs on everyone to listen to that every one of 'em said great. Is this really is the best boss he helped me? Personally every it was everyone was you could? Same thing same thing from a dorm into a cook. Indian, matter now I go back to when everyone to hear this I go back to Minnesota. And I tell my board, I said you guys. You're just right in the heat of the election, the the camp. I show my word at my pillow I said you will believe it. I said he's going to help. This country is I'd never seen anything like it's going to be amazing and they don't want to do Chris Release. And I WANNA go telling people on TV I could do. I could tell the media walking across the street. Twenty cameras would shore. My. My my board said one a member. My corporate attorney goes. He goes if you do this, you're gonNA ruin. Our company I got mad with outside the office. My cmo chemo she goes. We get this far by not listening to God I got you're right. I would that said we get this far away me. Not Listening to God 'cause I felt it was my calling to remind you know that I. I have to back then. This was something I was divinely supposed to do and so i. that press release now. I didn't even tell them what we talked about. You would think the press would be wow a Minnesota story. You know random guy has a great story of being an addict. The now he's gotten salvation. He's got redemption and he got to meet. The could be the president. You know what? "We've never said sorry, we never said they you. You know as often as we should, so then he starts working with all the wives. It was like three hours in the first day and he goes. This is so much better than working with your boyfriends and husbands. You guys listen you say thank you and we all felt personally attacked. Yeah I can. I can definitely see that being when case. I'm going to ask you one. That's not racing related either here just to to get us. Some fun in in the beginning. Did you get the chance to learn any new skills while you were in quarantine? Wouldn't say happened during quarantine, but it started happening towards the end of the season I've just. I've really started to enjoy cooking. you know I those one. That was one of my goals for the season just to eat better and you know And actually like make my own food terrible of doing like you know, take out and things so I started I think it's called hellofresh. Yeah, and you know they deliver like all the ingredients that you need for like four meals a week, so I'm cooking dinner four times a week and I'm just I. Really enjoyed that. Know getting to the point now where I kind of just look at what I have in my fridge and make something. That's pretty good so i. think that gotten better in quarantine because usually I wouldn't have had this much time home during this time to to cook, but. You know I'd say probably cooking, and then just my woodworking skills trying to finish up the van that's been. The two things SAG better at mowing my grass but I. don't have the patience for. Yeah I actually used to do hellofresh and I really enjoyed it. So that's that's good. That's a good thing. Yeah exactly and I guess. You Know Kate appreciate a man that can cook, too. So you know it's. It's double point. I'm pretty sure that's half the reason why my wife keeps me around. Is that I do the cooking every night so i? Understand! So switching gears here. You had a strong car pretty much right when you're on off the truck practice qualifying obviously you the race. Which P for what was the key to your success this weekend? Did You N. Mark Bryant? Do any extra homework before you guys had down to Texas last weekend. I think the thing that. Helped so much was just kind of my mindset going into it, you know. Mark? He didn't incredible job with his homework You know going into the event, but it's only his second year being in Bacar engineer, and to be honest you know. He was with the different driver last year, and they had some hard times on the oval So mark little worried about how is going to go? He put so much pressure on himself, but I just kept telling like man. That's GonNa be good like you know I believe in you. You've done a great job for the races that you've done with me like I have complete faith in you and When we rolled off the truck and I did four I came in, and he said how the car and I'm like man. It's pretty good. He liked. Liked took a sigh of relief. So you know I'm just I'm so happy to be working with someone who doesn't have all the answers you know me and mark were kind of the same level of experience and Indycar and we're just enjoying it. You know it's just we don't have it all figured out and I. think that's what makes us such a good combination. 'cause we're just leaning on each and and doing something. That's just a lot of fun and. The fun part made the weekend what it was so I think that was something. I didn't have much of last year. You know a lot of pressure on myself in the people around the so. I wasn't enjoying You know one thing that I wanted to do my entire life and I think that was kind of the the problem. I had in the car of just putting good races together, so we showed up to Texas. We just wanted to enjoy.

Bakari Sellers talks about the death of George Floyd

"Are really looking forward to the next gas considering all the things that have transpired especially up in Minneapolis. Our next guest. We just played a clip from CNN. This morning is Bakari sellers. Who grew up in the State of South Carolina? His father a noted civil rights pioneer. He's been very close to the South Carolina Program Practicing Law for many many years and continuing to to this day in Colombia. And as we say hello to Macari I want to ask him about Certainly the news of the day but we also want to mention for just a second to his brand new book that came out the other day my vanishing country Cari sellers. Thank you very very much for joining us. It's great to have you on the program. Man I I love your show Thankful for this platform and thank you for having me today on. What is a a truly tough day for most of us in this great country? I WanNa talk about that but I just wanted hug for a second. About what compelled you and really push you to writing this book. I mean you're still very young man usually Mars for old decrepit people like me but still on your your early thirties. I'm really interested in how you got to this point. Yeah so you know I. I wanted to write a political book and I'll be honest which Paul that no one wanted to buy it. And so when I sat down and talked about my story coming from the Orangeburg massacre in February eighth to sixty eight where my father was shot. subsequently imprison all the officers. Who fired shots into? The group of students were charged and found guilty. Three young men died in Smith. Samuel eminent Delano Middleton My father was shot and imprisoned. I chronicled that all the way through my rise to being young black elected official in the country. All the way through Charleston South Carolina. Where I lost my good friend Clemente. I'm in the Charleston massacre and so I just highlight the ups and downs and the trauma that comes along with being a person of color and what I the reason I wrote. This book is so that we could All have some sense of understanding so we begin to have conversations about healing this country And you know your book comes out during a pandemic and it also comes out around the death of Ahmad. Aubrey the desktop Brianna Taylor. Now we had this death in Minneapolis. And so I think it's an evergreen book and You know it's a discussion. It's difficult but necessary to have the car. It's it's so easy for all of us to talk about. No one should act this way but I wanNA get deeper because in watching what you did this morning and really knowing you quite well and hearing you speak out on so many other issues. I really want you to get to the heart of the matter here. this is bigger than than an isolated incident in. Minneapolis or Georgia or somewhere else. Is it not it is and you know. It's it's not just myself but you see you see all these athletes you see Lebron James of the world you see. I'm all the list of NBA players goes far and wide and even young college athletes are taking span. Because Y- for me personally it's about what do I tell my black children in this country and I know a lot of your listeners are like here we go again a. Why are we going down this path? But it's the fact that I have to have conversations with children that others do not and you know the crime that was Allegedly committed was forgery of a twenty dollar bill. He didn't even know that there's evidence to say he didn't even know that the twenty dollar bill was fake But regardless the penalty should not be a death penalty crime and so now I have a fifteen year. Old Daughter should be fifteen on June first. Who is about to Get her permit. You wouldn't do. I tell her. What do I teach her? I'm raising twins that are seventeen months old and one is a boy stokely. What do I tell him in? So that pain and this is not new You know it goes back to Emmett. Till and mega rivers Jimmy Jackson in the Orangeburg massacre the massacre on the campus of Jesse Jackson State in Kent State all the way through The recent incidents that we've had and so the question is when will it stop and I you know. I think that we have to begin to have difficult conversations in this country and some people don't want to have but I'm pressing forward to make to let people know that there is a real pain in this country and and there's painful by a lot of people today particularly black people in this country and we have to hear that pain. He wrote the other day. Being Black in America is almost perpetual state of grieving. I I know I know you well enough to understand but I want you to explain to to those out there and your political commentator. You're you're you know what I'm referring to. How do you explain that to the rest of us? You know. I I say that before you turn me off turn me down I say? Why don't you turn me up and let's have a conversation? Where is listening and understand and I come from a place where my father was literally shot a law enforcement and I had the utmost respect for law enforcement officers. My that was literally shot. My father was taken away from my family because he was actually arrested. For that night I father became the first and only one man riot in the history of this country. He was charged tried and convicted of rioting because he was a member of the Civil Rights Organization. They denied bond and they housed them on death row. My mother had to carry my sister my oldest sister their oldest child. She carried and gave birth while my father was in prison. And so when you talk about that trauma that emerged from my father went through the burden of being a black man in the south with felony. You carry all of that. And I'd had a great deal of success in my life and my job is to make sure that others are able to get access to those blessings as well and then I lived through the Charleston massacre. Paul like my good friend. Clemente painting he was was murdered in Bible. Study You know he let somebody come into his church. He set them beside him and he was shot in the net. And so when you think about all of these things and you think about the fact that I'm now living for them and there's no one there's absolutely no one in their right mind. They can lie to you. They can call in today until you that amount all day deserve today. Brianna Taylor. She was an emt worker. They served been no knock warrant. Went in and shot her and they can't tell you. The George Minneapolis deserved I either. And so that is what I'm saying. We have to begin to understand the reasons why and before you turn the conversations like this down. Let's turn them up. And let's have an honest conversation about how we move forward to broaden this because you of all people know it's twenty twenty. The political season never ends and a lot of people bacar just already made up their mind not so much the election but about everything this conversation. We're having the pandemic and I want you to try to take us there because I preach on this program. I don't want to talk about politics. But you can't get away from politics and especially at a time like this one hundred thousand people who died Do through the growing virus The overwhelming majority of these individuals especially in these large cities. The data points are are people of Color. I mean we have to talk about that This season is upon us. And you know regardless I want people to exercise their right to vote their right to vote safely You know you politics part of everything we do in life and you know I ask. 'cause I'm a big game cut fan and I was like the way to get you know my game friends and my. I don't have any clemson friends but you know the the people who go to school at Clinton though the way you get them to stay at home and stay inside and say that if we do not stay inside we won't have football season and so we're living. A lot of people are living through a great deal of trauma You know we're we're pausing we aren't able to go out. We aren't able to be with loved ones. If you get sick and have to go to the hospital you have to go by yourself

THE CAR SMASHER & HINDSIGHT

"Welcome back my friends to the big book podcast. My name is Howard and I'm an alcoholic sober since nineteen eighty eight one day at a time in this episode the twenty third and twenty fourth stories from the personal stories section of the first edition of alcoholics anonymous published in Nineteen thirty nine published. Only the first edition of the big book. These stories are entitled the Car Smasher and Hindsight they highlight the cunning baffling and powerful aspects of alcoholism that linger even during periods of sobriety and the slips. They can cause when complacency overconfidence or self will take the place of action humility and the will of a power greater than ourselves. These stories also demonstrate the critical link between helping other alcoholics and maintaining sobriety upon which they a founders established our program of recovery and now the original stories the car smasher and Hindsight Bacar smasher during the first week of March nineteen thirty seven through the grace of God. I ended twenty. Years of a life made practically useless because I could not do two things I. I was unable to not take a drink second. I was unable to take a drink without getting drunk. Perhaps a third as important as the other two should be added my being unwilling to admit either of the first two with the result. I kept trying to drink without getting drunk and kept making a nightmare of my life causing suffering and hardship to all those relatives and friends who tried so hard to help me and whom when I was sober I took the greatest pleasure in pleasing the first time I drank anything strong or in greater quantity than a glass of beer I got disgustingly drunk and missed dinner. Which had been arranged for me. In honor of my coming marriage I had to be taken home and remained in bed the following day more sick than I thought a human could be and live yet until two years ago I periodically did the same thing. Making money was always pretty easy when I was sober and worked all right when sober absolutely helpless with drink aboard but I seem to have had the idea that making money or living was something to take or let alone I got into the real estate business began to neglect business. Sometimes with four houses under construction wouldn't see any of them for a week or even longer sometimes paid good money for an option then forgot to exercise it. I made and loss plenty of money in the market understand. I wasn't actually drunk all of this time but there seemed always to be an excuse to have a drink and this first one more and more often led to my becoming drunk as time went on periods between drunks got shorter and I was full of fear. Fear that I wouldn't be able to do anything I agreed to do. Fear of meeting men worrying about what they might know my drinking and its results all of which made me quite useless whether I was sober or drunk. Thus I drifted breaking promises to my wife my mother and a host of other relatives and friends who stood more from me and tried harder than human should be expected to to help me. I always seem to pick the most inopportune time for a binge and important business deal to be closed. Might find me in another city. Once trusted to purchase for a large customer. I agree to meet his representative in New York. I spent the time waiting for a train in a bar. Arrived in New York. Tight stayed tight the week and came home by a room twice. The distance from New York worked weeks by long distance wire letters and personal calls to contact possible business connections under proper conditions and finally succeeded only to show up tight or get tight and insult the man whose friendship or respect meant so much each time there was the feeling of regret inability to understand. Why but a firm determination that it would never happen again but it did in fact the periods between became increasingly shorter and the duration of each binge longer during the aforementioned period. I had spent thousands of dollars. My home was broken up. Half a dozen cars smashed up. I have been picked up by the police for driving while intoxicated plane. Drunk had sponged borrowed money cash rubber checks and made such a general nuisance of myself that I lost all the friends I had at least they felt unwilling to be a party to financing me while I made a more complete ass of myself and I on my side was ashamed to face any of them when I was sober. My friends secured jobs for me. I made good on them for a time. I advanced quickly tonight superintendent in a factory but it wasn't long until I was missing or worse. Turning UP DRUNK WAS WARNED. Warned again finally fired. I was later rehired as a factory hand and mighty glad to have it advance again then back to the bottom always the same process. I drank continuously and when I drank sooner or later and generally sooner I got drunk and threw everything away during the early part of nineteen thirty five. My brother secured my release from the city jail on that day by sincere but non alcoholic friends. I was shown what might be done about my drinking with the help of God. I asked for this help. Gratefully accepted it. And in addition to losing my desire for drank asked for and received the same help in other matters I began to earn my living and in my newfound security was unashamed to meet people. I had avoided for years with happy results. Things continued well I had two or three advancements to better jobs with greater earning power my every need was being met as long as I accepted and acknowledged the divine help which was so generously given I find now as I look back at this period covered about six or eight months then I began to think how smart was to wonder if my superiors realized what they had in me. If they were not pretty small about the money they paid me. As these thoughts grew my feeling of gratefulness grew less. I was neglecting to ask for help when I received it as I always did. I neglected to acknowledge it. Instead I took great credit for myself I began to take credit for the non drinking too. It came to me strongly that I had conquered the drinking habit myself. I became convinced that my great willpower. Then someone suggested a glass of beer. I had one. That was even better than I thought I could take drank and not get drunk so another day another beer until it was regular every day now. I was indeed in the saddle concerning drink could take more. Leave it alone just to prove it to myself. I decided to march right past the place. I usually stop for beer and I felt pretty good as I went to the parking lot for my car. The longer I drove the greater was my pride that I had finally licked liquor. I was sure I had so sure. In fact that I stopped and had a beer before I went home in my smugness I continued to drink beer and began occasionally to drink liquor so it went until inevitably as darkness follows the Sun. I got drunk and was right back where I had been fifteen years before slipping into a binge every now and then never knowing when they would come nor where I would wind up.

She hadn't said a word to you or anyone else while you have done your best to make her feel safe in welcome welcome. There's something that has kept her from speaking but on days like this with mercy enjoying a lovely day you have hope that it's just a matter of time before she opens up to you feeling completely at ease with mercy enjoying herself.

I thought it was genius thing that he did because it was like you feel like you're wearing funny, but just wearing Carl neutrally, but I just saw it in his poorly lit apartments or ones that I'm like, this is no longer felt would've wanted. Nobody is what he would have on an also it's not everyone can afford Chanel can afford any Bacar Lagerfeld wants the world to dress like they're wearing Chanel and Benny, but that's not realistic. So he made a line that made it realistic. I don't know if you didn't seem like the inclusive type kind of guy, you know. I think he I mean, he definitely was inclusive for everyone except for like forever version is giving me for acceptable average size women too. But I think he really did want to see the world being more beautiful place. And you know, he also realized that budgets can be a concern though. He probably went to like, a Broadway show and couldn't believe the way people were dressing. Right. Oh my God. Imagine he mentioned if he ever coach. I feel like his type of doesn't leave his town. Yeah. His town of Paris. Yes. Say bell. Yes. Just stuck day over in Oakland memories. He looks like MAURICE making little knit sweaters. Well, very sad. Rest in peace. Carlisle felt very sad. That's just weird as hell fucking wild jussie smollet ceases prison career ruin if he lied about the tack we haven't we haven't had a chance to talk about the updates and the Justice mullet, we reported one of the best smell at gate, we reported wouldn't happen. And like everyone like I just couldn't believe in. I'm like, this is horrible shock off dismay sadness. Shame terrible. And now, I have all of those feelings the opposite. Well, we're here there were like murmurs that it wasn't true. And I think everyone was like a little nervous evenly journalists whose priority should be just like getting the fact that even they were like, I don't think I can say unless like one hundred percent, this is true. Because if it's what we think it is like holy shit. Right. And even the police wouldn't confirm because it's like, yes, all these socks are looking like, it's entree, but we're not gonna fucking say that because. What is what is it? Like, you can't you. It has to be hundred percent in order to even put that idea out there. So the fact that it's out there everyone's talking about it. I'm going back to page six. I don't know why. And like, I don't know why fucked with variety in the first place, and like the day that it started to unravel was maybe the day after he went on GM and was interviewed by Robin. What's What's her name? her name? She's one name wonder, Robin. Yeah. She's just Robin on Jimmy. And then to to to watch that interview through the lens of he's making it up. "This strip swamp thing Mr. personal reasons Bacar is is as important to me swamping. It's important to me. These are like cornerstones of my of of things, I love a things that like inform how I view pop culture in movies and TV so I I know it's it's a solo choice for me. But I really appreciate support. And I really really think it belongs here. So thanks guys. That's what I wanted to fight for anyone else. Looking at this list? Is there anything else that we feel like shouted out that she thinks should be on this list? I would like to shop out catch twenty two. I'm a big fan of George Clooney as a filmmaker. And even though he has had some MRs but good night and good luck is one of my favorite movies of all time him tackling catch twenty two I. Think is kind of a no brainer. Especially when you have a cash that is composed of Christopher Abbott. Kyle Chandler, George Clooney himself and Hugh Laurie. You know, this is I feel like I don't know. It's like, I it's an iconic story. It's yeah. I think that's really all it needs to be said, I think it's it's a Hulu series and Hulu has has really stepped up their game when it comes to their original content. And I think this is definitely one that we should be paying attention to if those no kitchen way too. It's it's a very famous antiwar novel in satire and its original wants based in World War Two was just still basically what what to Brad? Yes. It is. Okay. Yeah. I'm hesitant because George Clooney so hit me behind the camera. But I really this is in an in an incredible novel, and she does actually base in World War One because. Am I not right? Yeah. I think that was the case I'm looking at the old Google, but reduced Joseph Heller is one of the five. Literature. So it it is always been dumped into a movie before. But I think the movie like I never seen it all these ticky beloved. But yeah, I am forecast twenty tubing on this list. But what do you guys think we're the point now where I'm not like super passionate about anything that is on this list for so at this point. I just like my love for you guys is like anytime anybody excited about anything. I'm like, oh, yeah. I'm excited about that. Too. Puppy. See this this one. I'm more excited about the people involved than actual property meet maybe they can get me excited about this this story, but novel Heller is just like such a great phenomenal writer, but I do wonder how to translate to a TV series. All right. I'm gonna toss it into a twenty five. Okay. I don't put a one..

"Bacar Fifty-three and you'll qualify to win those tickets, we've got one more qualifier here in the four o'clock hour, and then another one will do in the five o'clock hour then. For the people who come here to to Warrenville at the twin peaks to sign up little slip. Put all your in full on there. And Waddle you will do the honor. Well, at the end of the show and draw the winner, you must be present to win. So if you were at Carmen in your earlier, we had a double header today with Carmen, your go here, then us if you signed up at one you've got to be back here at six o'clock, and we do the draw for a little dry is on that entries is sticking into the hopper. Can you be bribed? No, okay. I can't be. So then why would you say? That's a good question. I don't know. I got around in my brain. You're fixing it like the NBA lie. Yup. So earlier in the week. We had Al Michaels on the show. He's a friend of the radio station. He obviously has been on with us many many many times and he's seen the bears now many. Yes, it wasn't supposed to be that way is supposed to be the hall of fame game in the opener. And that was that. But then the bears got flex twice and then now this playoff game. So he has seen the bears as far as the TV guys is much as any. I don't think anyone's done more games than Al Michaels has done. Maybe Chris Myers. I don't know. I don't think he's done five dollars joke. It just feels like crazy. Yeah. I think he's had like two or three Chris Myers. So Al Michaels joined us a little bit earlier. And we asked him. How impressed has been by the bears turn around this season? Full really oppressed. After the opening night, the disaster in a way, I mean, you couldn't have gotten off to a better start, by the way, this will be the fifth time. We've had the bears this here we had them in the hall of fame. Yeah. The ravens back in August. So I thought after that game. Boy, there would be a like a bad hangover after you blow a twenty to nothing lead. You gotta be Green Bay in Green Bay. And at one point it looks like Aaron Rodgers is going to be out for it. I'm always a game. But maybe the season, and we all know what happened. And I think the best thing about what happened to Chicago to the bears at that point is, you know, Matt Nagy able to get everybody together. There was no panic. You're not going to Seattle in the Monday night game to follow him and get on that roll. And what's impressive to me more than anything? Maybe it's the fact that of the sixteen games this year, there's not one game bear ship and out of not one you guys though as well. As anybody got a couple of overtime games. You've got a game that winds up on the one yard line with Kevin white, you know, just shy of the goal on. Otherwise that one probably goes into over somber or maybe even tries to win. And at that point with a two point conversion you've got the opening night. Game. So very rarely. Will you see a team goes through a sixteen game schedule and not have at least one game where they're out of it. But that hasn't been the case with the bears on your level of surprise of from that Green Bay game. When you open the season with banners, and here's Khalil Mack. Who did not have a training camp? And you see what he did especially in that first half. I mean, do you say then even though they lost? Hey, this bears team is probably going to be better than you even thought. Well, yeah, they were gonna be better than when they were leaning twenty to nothing. I just thought that it would be such a let down after.
