Sleeping with Bedbugs

"Bed. Bugs have been around forever like before the Pyramids were built and they were a real problem from Alenia until we started using pesticides in a big way particularly de now that is banned pesticide. Use has been really restricted. They're starting to make a comeback. Now call it a comeback. They've been here for years. Cool J is that you also increases in travel have open doors for the little buggers true. That's the classic story. Some poor slob goes on vacation to Disneyland and comes home with Bit Bucks. I thought Disneyland is where you went to get. Measles to poor Disneyland Disneyland's a big corporation. May We don't want to associate them with diseases. Not SMALL FRY. You may ask. They are blood feeding insects in a nutshell right like lice except unlikely they don't live on humans just near us the hang out close to where we sleep or spent sedentary time which is most often in the bedroom but if you're looking for bedbugs it's unlikely you'll see them right here on the bed. Usually there'll be in cracks and crevices in the mattresses or under baseboards around bedside tables. Don't forget clothes. Hang on clothes as well. Yeah and when you go to bed or pull and that shirt that you got from posh mark the jump start feasting. They're not like crawling around on the surface of the closer like in the seams or something like tucked away. So you don't you're not gonNA notice it. Yeah and when we feasting we mean they really settle in and make a meal of it. They don't just take a quick nibble in the runoff. To find someone else to nibble on. They hang out for like five to ten minutes second way like they tuck in and then they finished with that spot they move on down and chump again and start over yeah. They're like the French. I mean they savor their media which is why the bites are in this sort of linear pattern up and down. Someone's arm or leg or abdomen. Or wherever. Yeah escapees also have a linear pattern by the way. But they make burrows tunnels bedbug bites are on exposed parts of the skin like arms and legs if you sleep in shorts and even the face they can sometimes face and they leave a series of bumps with this little center and they are itchy or not. Some people won't be bothered by the bites at all. They might not even have a significant reaction to them or even notice them. That's true but for most people the BYS are usually no big deal. They'll go away after seven to ten days. You might need a little topical steroid cream if the itching is really bad. Or maybe a Benadryl or something but if you have an infestation it'll just keep getting the bites until you get rid of the bug so it doesn't matter if they go around away in seven to ten days because you're getting bit tomorrow night rid of the bugs is no easy task. I am sorry to say that is true but I even before you do that. You have to confirm that it's well and truly bedbugs that are causing a rash and this means you have to catch the suckers and that's kind of hard to do because as we mentioned they don't live honest just near us. There are sometimes clues to the present so like little spots of blood on the sheets and then there's the smell the smell so apparently bedbugs practice. Fairmont that really stinks and is quite noticeable with big time infestations. I've never actually knowingly smelled a bedbug. So me neither but it has been various in described to me knock wood some people say it. Smells like wet towels or gyms hawks. I read that it smells like Cardamon or rotten raspberries. Maybe this smell is dependent on the blood type of the host. The host has been eating. Served the terroir for grapes. Wonder if there's any interesting study in there somewhere probably not probably but here's the coolest thing you can train dogs to detect bedbugs based on the smell. That is cool yet. They can do so much to do what you have to have. A bunch of bed bugs though which seems like it might be hard to get. You can buy them online. I looked you can get anything. You want at Alice's restaurant or Amazon this time it's by bedbugs. Dot Com not Amazon. So theoretically you could train your doctor smell bedbugs. You could also go to local training courses in the Austin area for example it. I'm guessing you look those up. Yeah Yeah. They're probably available at any major metropolitan area. Austin is Weird. Listeners are interested. I can't see a need for private individuals to have a bed bug detection dog please. Nobody go by bedbugs. We not recommending that as just a recipe for things going wrong and then blaming to stupor definitely not recommend. We say do not go by bedbugs to train dog. Please but a pesticide service or hotel. That would be very useful. That's true yes what I. Yeah that's what I thought anyway. Getting rid of them is very difficult. That's the bottom line regardless of whether you have a dog that can smell them or not and people have tried various things dripping off the sheets pillow cases of the bed linens washing them one hundred twenty degree Fahrenheit water because apparently they'd killed at or above this temperature. Yeah but they don't live in your bed. They live around it. So most people suggest manually removing them a cleaning aggressively to get rid of them scraping them out from under the baseboards. And maybe it's time you throughout that mattress you button. Nineteen Ninety eight and stop buying clothes on mark. Never never honestly you know if I got bedbugs I would have no objection to using in my house. Well we're getting there and here's the thing you know how you can put everything in a bag sealed up leave it for a few days in the lifestyle. Yeah not so with bedbugs. They can live in this sort of dormant state without eating for over a year. So none of that stuff. We just mentioned really works. If you have a true infestation the best unfortunately most expensive solution is to call an exterminator. Yeah a reputable one. And don't try to yourself because people have developed serious health problems particularly neurological problems from pesticides. I bought online or by using pesticides incorrectly. Yeah the best medicine though when it comes to. Bedbugs is prevention. Just don't get them in the first place right. So if you notice a musty cardamom raspberry smell and your hotel room. Just leave keeps your case off the floor. Done impact. Put your clothes in the dresser and when you get home wash all your clothes and a hundred twenty degree Fahrenheit water. I'm not really sure. How hot water is it's coming out of my tap. You said it at the hot water heater just to make sure you use a meat thermometer and check the water coming out of my Faucet. One hundred and forty degrees. That's some hot water. I know he's water. Heater is set to something different. Just make sure yours will get the job done so. Do you recommend that like if you come in from a trip just through your stuff directly in the washing machine before you even bring it into your bedroom. Yeah I mean. How's that going to hurt? Yeah I mean. She can't do if they're in your suitcase. Well you gotta you gotTa throw away your suitcase every time every trip Sam Moon here. I travel with the plastic trash bag. There we go okay so we've talked about. The rash is usually no big deal but occasionally the bites can get infected and people can show up in clinic with impetigo even cellulitis. In which case they would need to antibiotic to treat the secondary secondary bacterial infection. But this doesn't happen very often now but what you do see more often than one might think are mental health issues related to bedbugs. I would think it would make me crazy. I mean bedbugs can cause serious anxiety even. Ocd symptoms. There's a social stigma around them. That really shouldn't be there right and you people don't get invested because they're dirty. We live on this planet with lots of other creatures in occasionally. We live somewhat closer than my mother-in-law announced to everybody underdog. She got bed bugs. When she went to Taiwan. It was a great conversation piece for a while. She had no shame. And that's how it should be the rest of us.

The latest on Trump's Ukraine drama

"Anyway this situation with regards to Ukraine and the vice president it's all simply about him at our end former vice president and of course the president United States basically Democrats can't do anything while Joe Biden is running. there you go this whole story is so stupid it kills brain cells without the benefit of alcohol because they're trying to say that trump called it what during a phone conversation with the Ukrainian prime minister that that Ukrainian president when it when he was having a phone conversation with him that he was encouraging him to carry out an investigation of hunter Biden and all of everything that they have going on the money that the bidens were making off of this activity in Ukraine which we're gonna get into in detail in case you are in the weeds and you don't know exactly what's going on it's kind of important to know because there's I mean there's actual we have the paper trailers actual evidence of this whereas the story that ran and I'll pull it up here in a minute as soon as everything quits freezing this story that ended up running. it that everyone is reacting to is this guy who's been called a whistleblower who is in the trump administration which can I have a definition as to what a whistle blower is because he didn't blow the whistle on anything if anyone were to actually read this idiotic see in an article and I actually read it unlike the people talking about it out there I read things this is why I'm often rush because see I'm not like these old these outdated people who don't know the internet that are on the radio this is where we're kicking the **** of everybody on air because unlike all of those people I don't outsource all my research to a staff who bring the stacks of things I actually I'm smart enough to read it so there you go anyway yes I am sassy but it is a here I have your people in the right talking about this now makes up you didn't read this you know you did you want to memorandum and you click the top conservative looking link and you decided to regurgitate whatever that wash up this CNN article that is they came out and and and all my gosh I have some serious medium all practice where is it this is where I have a history of according this came out just a couple of days ago this is what everyone is reacting to this article there's no this whistleblower who's in the trump administration blowing the whistle on trumped up looking to blow the whistle you just blow and they say that the sister Danny this could actually be impeachable I just. way way if you open the link up I'm gonna put it up on Facebook if you open the link up when you scroll scrolling still since I mention the article I'm still swirling way way way here it is it's one of the last. so so crazy that whistle blower that is apparently trying to tell all the media that trump was being mean and he's trying to bully his opponent out of the race by telling telling you craned investigators son this is without this is what it actually says the whistleblower didn't have direct knowledge of the communications official briefed on the matter told CNN instead the concerns from the whistleblower came in part from learning some information that was not obtained during the course of their work. okay can we just stop everything right here now do you still I'm happy and because it's Monday high delish adolescent official election Facebook you think I'm crazy now. a question your question please a whistleblower the last four match at all with that first part a story which is called the headline yeah so let me just look to see guys now the headline says new revelations deepens scandal over trump whistle blower complaint hi Lou whistleblower what's with the blowing you know all my gosh so. I'll wait here it is way down here the whistleblower didn't have direct knowledge of the the whistleblower did know Jack crap let's just let's just not even do the word salad whistle blower new not in how about that well instead it's gossip. holy crap then everybody's grandma is a whistleblower because this that just sounds like I'm a real if you sell the gold tersely gossip I go to church I can say that you don't I mean. they were just decided they were gossiping on stuff that's what this says what's your new nada overweight the wire why is it even a whistleblower because usually for a whistleblower you're blowing the whistle on something there's information involved I feel as though I was I was cheated in the sale. you know I feel like I was cheated just saying it's like when you get a when you get one of those freezer pepperoni pizzas and has all the pepperoni on top of it and then you get at home when you open it up there's like one or two pieces of pepperoni on it this isn't even the pepperoni I'm so cheated right now. but this is this is and no one is talking about this everyone is glossing over this no one is going back to the fact that well you know the whistle blower actually didn't know anything so that's the that's the debate that's about it so this is a I I'm I'm I'm not shocked how could one blow the whistle on something they have no direct knowledge of if they have zero direct knowledge which is exactly what the CNN story says which is up to them how can they be Alyssa how can you even use that label yeah well see here's the story here's the real thing. Democrats are trying to protect Joe Biden from an actual Ukrainian scandal they're trying to make it from scandal this is the same playbook that they use with the Russia crap they're trying to make this rushes grow trumps thing one actually was their thing as Democrats were literally conspired with Russia they were accusing troubles literally conspiring with Russia this is what they do you see this. it's like you're is two siblings who are fighting I think I can tell this in parables for the drive bys it has two siblings fighting and someone hits as you know one sibling hit the other seven takes a toy and then says that sibling hit me. that's what this is like Joe Biden actually and what we're gonna get into it I'm hold up cause I guess some of the stuff to to hit upon. so then we got some old audio from from biting on the stuff as well. but then here's here's the thing I can play this or second audio semi twenty seven bill weld I literally just forgot who he was hang I forget who he is every time run for president no he's still running I think yeah he hang on let me. may I see I don't even care enough about this data he's somebody he was like way back an old tiny days he was the governor of Massachusetts and I was in elementary school so whatever skews me when I was in from forever throughout my basically of elementary junior high and high school career he was pretty much the governor of Massachusetts old timey he's like a thousand years old he's I've you know what I mean even in the mood today I am in the mood today I drove all weekend I'm not even these people have got me they're tempted me they're tempted me today you know maybe have five soft use for like forty minutes ago. you know you just send some Ellis impervious Tom's quit semi the bags and idea who will do it a study them bill weld like you know what I'm having kind of a tough time here in the primary where we just execute my opponent listen talk about pressure in a foreign country to interfere with and control a U. S. selection it couldn't be clearer and that's not just undermining democratic institutions that is treason treason pure and simple and the penalty for treason under the US code is death that's the only pen only. only on the constitution is removal from office and that might look like a pretty good alternative to the president if he could work out a plea deal on the legal framework is under the U. S. criminal code the

How Will Exploring Saturn's Moon Titan Be Different?

"Today's episode is brought to you by IBM. SMART is open open is smart i._B._M.'s combining their industry expertise with open source leadership of Red Hat. Let's unlock the world's potential. Let's put smart to work learn more at I._B._M.. Dot Com slash slash red hat welcome to brain stuff production of iheartradio. Hey rain stuff. Lauren Vogel bomb here. NASA has announced that it will launch a space probe called dragonfly on an ambitious mission to Saturn's Saturn's Moon Titan in which a robotic rotorcraft lander will fly around Titan's surface and touchdown in various places as part of its exploratory mission the dragonfly space probe will look for traces of chemical processes similar to the ones that led to life on earth in addition to gathering other information about the Moon's surface and atmosphere dragonfly will launch twenty twenty six and arrive at Titan which is eight hundred eighty six million miles. That's one point four billion kilometers from the Sun in Twenty thirty four once they're. The space probe which is about the size of the Space Agency's spirit and Opportunity Mars Rovers will turn on eight rotors and fly through Titan's dense hazy atmosphere which is about four times the density of Earth's and explore. It's still mysterious surface. A Titan is the biggest of Saturn's sixty two moons and a close second in moon size at our solar system after Jupiter's Moon Ganymede has radius of about sixteen hundred miles or twenty five hundred kilometers making it about fifty percent wider than Earth's moon but it's not just titan size is it is made it a longtime object to fascination scientists Titan is also the only moon in the solar system with much of an atmosphere and it's the only slot in the solar system besides earth that's known to have Liquid Rivers Lakes and seas on its surface though the latter are made up of liquid hydrocarbons such as methane and ethane titans also believed to have an underground ocean of water deep beneath its icy surface that could possibly have harboured some form of life or may still contain it. The titans surface is brutally cold like. Minus two hundred ninety degrees Fahrenheit or one hundred and seventy degrees Celsius cold but conditions potential underground ocean are unknown titans thick atmosphere is about ninety five percent nitrogen with the rest mostly composed of methane the creates a thick orange colored haze hangs over the moon's surface making it difficult to observe from Earth much of what we do know comes from the European Space Agency's how Hon spacecraft which landed on Titan and transmitted data for seventy two minutes in two thousand five and from NASA's Cassini probe which did multiple fly bys of Titan between two thousand five in two thousand seventeen. How huns was actually attached to Cassini for these seven year trip to Titans vicinity scientists are particularly excited about dragonflies ability to fly rather than crawl crawl along the ground unlike Mars where NASA also plans to test a small robotic helicopter with large high speed blades twenty twenty titans atmosphere's thick enough to enable dragonfly to attain lift with relatively small Reuters and carry a bigger payload over longer distances? Mrs Than the experimental copter being sent to Mars. It's expected to cover more than one hundred miles or one hundred seventy five kilometers during its nearly three year mission on Titan it will fly in short hops up to five minutes at a time we spoke by email with Jason some sort of bomb a research scientist in the Department of Earth Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and one of dragonflies co investigators he explained flight allows us to move the lander much greater distances in a short period of time than a traditional rover allowing us to more efficiently explore Titan. We also spoke by email with Kurt Neiber new frontiers program scientist for NASA. He said the dragonflies design is fundamentally different from the Mars helicopter quote not just because the atmosphere of Titan on Mars are so different but because they are different vehicles the Mars helicopter is a short lived technology demonstration with no science payload dragonfly is a self contained space craft designed to pursue science mission with high autonomy. It's like comparing a self driving car in electric. Electric Scooter both have wheels but they have very different purposes and therefore very different designs. The researchers working on dragonfly are excited about the opportunity to investigate the giant moons many mysteries Neiber said I'm looking forward to dragonfly finally giving US detailed answers about the surface of Titan at the small scale not just its composition but also its geology telling us about the complex organic materials present there and how they interact and also giving us a good look at surface features like dunes and the cell Crater Cassini he did a good job at giving us broad answers to this question at the large scale tens of miles for example but nothing beats getting down to the surface and actually digging your hands and feet in so to speak solder Baum also spoke to this. He said there's a plethora of unanswered answered questions about Titan's surface. One fundamental question we have yet to answer is what is the composition of titans major geologic units or if the water ice bedrock is exposed anywhere on Titan or if it's been buried beneath organic gunk this is because Titan's atmosphere obscures. Surface at most wavelengths limiting our ability to use traditional remote sensing techniques to study the surface composition dragonflies scrutiny of Titan's surface may also yield insights about the moon's atmosphere and the chemistry going on there which could in turn wind up helping us understand more about ourselves. We also spoke with Sarah Horst an assistant professor in the School of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Johns Hopkins University. WHO's also an investigator on the project? She said that chemistry and the atmosphere's interact with the surface quote is important for understanding the role that atmospheres play in the origin or evolution of life and also help us figure out what types molecules may constitute evidence for life when we're looking at observations faraway atmosphere's like those of exoplanets. Palm Beach County, Attorney And Thirteen Years discussed on Rush Limbaugh

"Do have a couple of sound bites and a cast as press conference yesterday here's the first district attorney of Palm Beach county and review the evidence and recommended a single charge and that charge would result in no jail time at all no registration is a sexual offender and no restitution to the victim further the state attorney's office allowed Eckstine to self surrender and arrange him the following morning simply put the Palm Beach state attorney's office was ready to let Eckstine walk free no jail time nothing prosecutors in my former office found this to be completely unacceptable and they became involved yeah they were asked to get involved at the same time they may have they may have decided to get involved on their own it was outrageous and again if any of you want to spend time googling this and really reading up on it you really need to focus on all of the work and the evidence that was produced by the Palm Beach police department that's where this case was made and that's where all of the evidence that wives developed wise pretty much abandoned or ignored now at two to a to a certain point here across state is correct the Palm Beach county state's attorney's office went went white on abstain there's no question about that this is the this is a it's it's it's it's a great example of the dual system of justice when political people are involved that has existed in the country for a long time the latest manifestation of it is the effort to hold trump accountable for something that he didn't do colluding with Russia while ignoring the people actually did that Hillary Clinton and others in her campaign it's a clear dual system of justice here's the second job bite this is a cost explaining how his office became involved in the case in the first place our office became involved our prosecutors assist two thousand eight article recounts presented the ultimatum plead guilty to more serious charges charges that required jail time registration and restitution or we'd roll the dice and bring a federal indictment without the work of our prosecutors Eckstine would have gotten away just that state charge now for all intents and purposes that's true but the people angry at a constant and and by the way some of them aren't aren't are just women there a lot of women Madame across the because they think he's didn't didn't pursue it strongly enough didn't follow up and just wash his hands of it after it was over while abstain continue to do what he did if she hasn't stopped any of those activities and doing this ever since this deal was made two thousand six he goes to jail for a year and a half twelve hours a day gets out has been engaging in the same kind of activity according to people monitoring it and nothing has happened to it without a Costa didn't pursue it any further and I think it crosses copping out here in claiming this was the best they could do but no matter how you slice that's it's not about a constant getting a costly is a way of getting trump the media is totally focused on having a cut when I say maybe about it with the Democrats the Democrats slash drive bys are totally focused on getting trump and if they can force the labor secretary to resign in disgrace and in humiliation then they've got a story trump's labor secretary slap on the wrist and Jeffrey up stealing resigns the board that's all this is that's all this opportunity represents out I'll make your prediction however this ends up in if it ends up that a constant doesn't resign and if it ends up that they can get trump on this they'll drop the up steam thing L. let whatever the STM why does they'll let it happen in invisibility we will not know how this case is progressing now I run that theory by some people in there they're telling that Russia wrong this time apps dean's not gonna get away with it this is really really bad for empty and rush and the reason is all of these young girls that were ignored and not listen to thirteen years ago are now adults and they and their parents are loaded for bear and they're bringing civil cases against that Stephen this is not going to go away this time it's it did it get Epstein is in a serious circumstance and and they they they can't let him go with a slap on the wrist okay I I hope you're right those of you who who subscribe to what to that theory but I'm just predicting this is not going to get dropped this is not going to get dropped out of the White House is not going to interrupt his campaign even if a Costa resigns this is not going to get trump and when that whenever that is realized like repeat now yesterday Megan Rapinoe was gonna get trump don't deny it that's why she was being lauded and that's why she was being fat that's why she was being celebrated Meghan repeat no was not going to go to the White House she wasn't going to detain to go talk to that reprobate that scum older trump okay so she's a one day flash in the pan gone with the espys last night so now they've got a move another back to what Costa whenever this ends up with trump not being damaged they're going to move on to something else and and you will not hear abstains name again now I don't know what it'll be the next one's going to be Mahler coming back next Wednesday CNN already effectively doing a countdown and six days away and CNN is already talking about the special anchors they're gonna have coming in wood wall to wall coverage meanwhile Mahler and his crew are trying to chicken out of this thing and not show up at all because they don't want mother mother doesn't want a more this so whatever and whoever the latest weapon the Democrats glom onto a think that this is gonna be the thing that gets rid of trump when that blows up in their face like it does the Y. L. ET coyote something else is going to have to pop up and

How to Find Starlink Satellites

"You can find the Starling satellites anybody can find these Starling satellites and it's relatively easy. There's a website called kale sky. C. A L, S K, Y dot com. You have to go to this website. And here's the instructions of a Stewart really quick for you, because I think it's important that everybody gets to see these things before they raise up a little bit. They're going to they're going to move up a little bit. So you won't be able to see them. Without some sort of either telescope inoculate or something like that. So right now, you can see with the naked eye, and you can do this on a website called kale sky. C A, L, S K, Y dot com. I'll have this all in the show notes. So once you listen to this episode, you could go down below and check it out. So here we go. Go to kill sky dot com. And then you go to section setting your location. You can set your location, and I'm going to link that of course in the show notes. Then you click on satellites, then you click on sat library. And then select the duration at the top of the page for the amount of time you would like to see future fly bys, it's usually about a week, you can do it for a month or whatever you want, whatever you want. It's up to you. And then there's a box you have to fill in. For what kind of said like you want to search for so type in Starlink click on citing opportunities in Tijuana bookmark this page because this is something you want to go back to over and over again. So you can see these satellites, whenever you want to. And then he what to click on the following boxes. Show satellite passes and satellite must be illuminated. It's important if satellites be eliminated, because that's the only way that you can't see the satellites with your naked eye, of course. So go back up to the top of the page, click go. And then it'll refresh then this is the part. You'll see a list of the upcoming passes of the Starlight or startling constellation. If you scroll down. So is the format. It's a twenty four hour format. So something like to like, let's see twenty one hundred hours. It's nine o'clock. PM. So and you can switch it to the twelve hour format. So it's easier on you. But on the twenty four hour format seems to be working pretty well. And then you look down to there's like a little map with a compass. And you'll see where the satellites will enter your vision. Mine tonight. Enter in the south west region. In the shoots up to the northeast. So I'm going to be looking at ten o'clock tonight in the southwest region of the sky have a compass on my phone. I just look through the southwest. I know where it is anyway, but I wanna make sure so look at my compass. And then I looked for the startling satellites that is if it stops raining, because that will be annoying, and I won't be able to see the plane, but I have a whole week listed off on this website that I can check them out, and it's going to happen, like every, you know, every time that I wanna see them I could go back to this website because I bookmark that page. So it starts in the south west and then it ends in the northeast. So it'll come right overhead, and I could watch them as go across the night

"The thirteen science fly bys and counting Juneau's mission to the largest planet in our solar system has been officially extended shoes innovation now bringing you stories behind the ideas that shave our future Juno is already returning spectacular results. And now this remarkable spacecraft is going to keep doing what it does best revealing Jupiter secrets like Nastase earlier pioneer spacecraft Juno rotates as it orbits just after launch rocket Motors attached to the second stage booster put the spacecraft into a spin at three rotations per minute instruments on the spinning spacecraft sweep across Jupiter four hundred times in the two hours. It takes to fly from pole to pole Juno is currently in much longer orbits than originally planned because of concerns about valves on the fuel system. The longer fifty three day orbit means it will take more. More time to collect science data. But also means Juno can explore further regions of Jupiter's magnetic field with opperations extended until twenty twenty one both researchers and citizen. Scientists are excited to see what new surprises Juno will unveil about this mysterious distant world for innovation. Now. What to make of the ISIS bride

What to make of the ISIS bride

"A an ISIS bride has been married as many times as I have her name is holding isn't she? The hostess on the today show copy completely different same first name. Right. Yes. But I mean, so your name is Curtis. I if there was a serial killer named Curtis. Nobody's gonna confuse just wanted to clarify Hoda Muthana. She's twenty four years old. Did you say Putina Newton Mouton actually left Alabama four years ago? So she was a little Alabama girl when she was twenty years old. To go to an ISIS enclave in rock, Syria, and she got married, and then she that guy died says fighter and then she got married again in that guy died she got married again. Sweet. And she's got one child issue resulted those from the second husband quick, marriages curse, you know. What happens when you join ISIS, right? Yeah. Whether it is American aircraft rushing aircraft Syria craft. Yeah. Him away. They end up strafing you with that napalm and weapons of mass destruction you go right to Allah and the seventy two. Hoda, and you you I mean what happens? Well, the courage took her captive as they have the remaining women and children of the ISIS fighters, as you know, our allies share of home to this day. I still don't know who they are. Because there's so many of them, but we're prepared to get out, depression, and has shed we get not Assyria. I actually disagree with him on most issues, I'm in support of him on this. But he said to every country that had foreign fighters who came to sharia. And now, the Kurds are keeping them safe and secure. They can't do it anymore. You're going to have to take your own ISIS fighters back, or at least the remaining women and children. And I understand that and Muthana wants to come home. She wants to come back to the United States, despite the fact that she called for the spilling of all the blood. She calls for terror attacks to be launched at Memorial Day events you wanted people to be run over. She wanted people to be. Slaughtered. Their necks slashed here in the United States. She was calling for a wedge Jiangyin spokespersons for her family that would like her to come home to sweet home, Alabama to the state of judge ROY Moore made their plea to all of us through their family spokesperson, recruiters were basically, grooming. Her for this the cut off from her friends from her family from her Moscow. And that does happen. I mean that that does happen. But the fact is that she was a teenager when I was a teenager. I know the difference between right and wrong. And so they're they're trying to say that. Oh, she was brainwashed. I figure out. Well, she deserves to come back and what live her life. Okay. What? No, no, no, no. You don't go. You don't go. Nineteen at the time. Okay. Let's see if we can listen to the young lady herself described to a British media outlet. Why it is she wants to come home? And why it is. She wants all of you out there listening to forgive her. And to give her a second chance. I don't know. I thought I was doing things correctly for the sake of God. And when I came here, and I saw everything with my own eyes. I realize that. Mistake and. My teacher deeply deeply her son's future. So she'd she says it she when she got there. She didn't realize so she didn't know anything about the beheadings the mass beheadings with the guys that were down on their knees and the orange jumpsuits and all that she she just didn't know anything about that. I beg to differ. He's a liar. Hold on. Would you give her an opportunity to make her plea because she's also making a plea not just on behalf of herself. But her eighteen month old Johnny the child's child's fault been planning literally planning to go from once. I got hurt twice money. And I was so scared. I broke my phone from what I heard if they if they were to read my messages, I would have been capable. She she she says towards the end I've as we're moving in she tried to escape to grips of ISIS after her husband's kept on getting blown into pieces. I'm sure that she was probably thinking, maybe not the best place to be Alabama's not looking so bad. Now. What would you do? Ladies and gentlemen, we have to take her back, president has shed. We're out of there. And he's told all of our allies from Europe. Hey, you're gonna have to take your ISIS fighters back their wives their children and figure out what to do with them. What would you do with this young lady young lady who has an eighteen month old, Sean she wants to come to Alabama? What do we do with her? What are we going to do with people here who have husbands that go on these horrible, you know, shooting sprees and murder sprees and they're involved with it. I mean, you boy she's part of that. She's an accomplished to this. She's an accomplished having people, tortured and beheaded. I mean, she she's not innocent. Wait, wait, wait. She said can I quote, what she is shed. And she is released this to the world, not just the United States. She has said, please, please forgive me for having been so ignorant. Hey, I was really young ignorant, and I was nineteen when I decided to leave nineteen is not young nineteen is drinking age nineteen year going to college. I believe that America give second chances. I wanna return on never go back to the Middle East. America can take my passport, and I wouldn't mind in the bit. My god. If I cannot imagine anybody who thinks that it's okay for this girl to come back and just go on like she lived before that. That's outrageous. All right. Well, we'll leave it up to a vast audience. One eight hundred eighty eight four eight WABC that's one eight hundred eight four eight nine two two two this Andrew in queens. Welcome the Kurdish and Juliette Honey he on WABC. Why think hedgerow was there? Let's go to Chris. Who's actually calling from New Jersey? Welcome the WABC, Chris. Hey, guys. So I think what they should do it. There's one pick that child away from her. Of course, put it up for adoption and have her give her testimony with the noose around her neck and her dangling feet in the air. No, no, no, hold on. Chris no-one said she killed anyone. Went over there to court ISIS. We have. It was a guy would we say? That's okay. Well, we we have them in Gitmo. We haven't we haven't put in front of a firing line. People are animal we have in killed anyone responsible for nine eleven. We haven't killed anyone that we battled in Afghanistan. We caught him. And we put him in Gitmo doesn't mean they don't deserve it. I know, but you're suggesting that she be put in front of the firing squad. Well, kill anybody. She anybody. Fear coast big tingling for life. That's what I was gonna let me let me tell you. This is what she said in in two thousand fifteen she went on her little social media posts. And she said you have much to do while you live under our greatest enemy enough of your sleeping, go on drive bys spill all of their blood or rent a big truck, you know, appealing to her ISIS supporters potentially here in the United States renovate truck and drive over them. Veterans patriots Memorial Day parade go on drive bys and spill all of their blood in the next two years Curtis. You know, what happened in December twenty fifteen fourteen people were killed twenty wounded when a guy attacked a holiday party out in California. Then in two thousand sixteen Omar Mateen, shot forty nine people in their Orlando night. You suggest somehow they will listening to this nineteen year old. I think that's the whole point of. That's the whole point of these people from the United States and other European countries going over and joining ISIS, that's the whole point there. Whatever price to pay, but we haven't killed any of the males who actually killed Americans and others. As far as we know. She didn't kill anybody. And this guy is suggesting should be putting firing squad but adopted kid naturally. Adopt. Take the kid we take the kids fault. Let's go. If we can the Mike was calling from queens walk the Kurdish and Juliet Huddy here on WABC, Mikey. Mike. We're having a bit of a problem here. Let's go to Larry in Brooklyn. Welcome the WABC. First of all Kurdish. She never heard of a firing squad for treason, but second of all what I would do is. I would take a back and give it a title recreation counselor. Okay. Let let a lay down to every convict doing lights in Florence max. And Colorado, if she laid down for ISIS, you could lay down for them to oh man for El Chapo, Pablo shorty goose mine who will be going in foreign this. Well, why would we want to reward them? Why would I want this? I think they're overly cooped up. That's why I don't think twenty three hours a day. And a shell is humane. I think it's more you made the put this woman in front of a firing squad. Wow. Keep it L shop in in in a in a hole for twenty three hours. I don't have a problem with not being humane, El Chapo in this girl. You realize we haven't done anything to any of the males who actually killed people plotted planned organized. She came back here that we should put her into supermax because I do I want to say why not. You wouldn't put them in supermax thinks she's a danger to society leads. Are you joking? She sought there rented telling people telling her followers here or anybody that she could try to entice with the wonderful life ISIS out there. She told him to spill their blood in the name of ISIS and kill Americans patriots veterans. So what are you gonna do Senate Gitmo? I don't believe they have any females on Gitmo stand to be correct. Bring her over to supermax Florence Colorado. That. It'll sell for twenty three hours a day. The problem with that. Let's go to E. Welcome to Curtis said, Juliet Huddy he on WABC in high. I just like to say that she can't come back here. If the military handle it that's one thing, but we have politicians, and we got lawyers that a lawyer Harrap in an instant, and what should happen to these ISIS people's one or two things hand them over to Assad number one. And I don't care what from Britain the British UK America wherever they're from. If they if they did that or the next best better. She just bring him back. Let's use a boat you keep them on the boat. And with us, the most shocks and yo-. Right. Well, Ian, you can't hand them over the Assad. You know that and. Like, I said we only have to date one person we're taking back the rest of the world is taking back multiple fighters who left their country. So they have a bigger problem. So far, it's just this one woman, and you're acting as if she's coming. There's tens of thousands of women who joined the breathing and no more. I don't need tax dollars going towards funding heart when she comes back here. I don't need a jail cell Fredin three hawks and a cot every day. She didn't kill anybody. You realize that? With the terrorists. What curtis? I'm hearing we we have serial killers. We have women who have been serial killer who are not put to death eventually killed people. And we feed them. We take care of all they were meant we had a previous caller, and he's treason, treason, you're fighting for the enemy, it's treason. So what do you do then use? Well, you what what what do we do for treasonous shoot? And kill the mother of the kid. I you sound like you have a problem with this. This is a month. We haven't done that to any of the men we had let's start to leave. Collegiate Mohammed the mastermind of the nine eleven attack. Right. He's the one who convinced Osama bin Laden, you can do it. He's in. Now. You know, he's got his beard. It's orange now these colorful. She's got a little screwy as anybody we go with him. We haven't put in the death. You want to kill her. I was once dating somebody who on the third day start showing neither scars from an ex girlfriend who stabbed them and fit them between their sides. Oh. Was acting like the victim. He every time. He spoke about an ex girlfriend. She was crazy. They always say that. Okay. He was showing easy, but he was showing stab wounds. Stab wounds third date third date. Let me ask you. So if he was showing stab wounds like he was the victim. He wasn't the victim of a stabbing. But then I had a friend Gina. He is a cheater. Oh, no reason. A woman would stab a man or vitamin between between the FIS unless you caught him cheating. Let me tell you to you got you got you ran flag with him. Right. I would definitely have my flag with her to be like like. Yeah. You know, I had to stab him because he was cheating cheated on me. Now, I would never had stabbed her be her between hurt bys saying like. She played the victim will one I wouldn't be sitting here I being probably in jail steal. But if she played the victim. You know, what that is true? But at the same time he was playing that role. Yeah. Love you. There's too much going on here. Comedy. A player. How many staff? All the above. Check all the boxes. "Drive bys northern swamped Weller is gonna ever imagine anybody quitting. I can't imagine anybody quitting the United Nations. They can't imagine anybody quitting and leaving Donald Trump and more charge of anything. Here beside themselves. Nikki Haley winning. Furthermore, nobody leaked if they didn't know about it that makes an illegitimate. Something's not right. So they immediately began speculating, Nikki Haley, they said has to be leaving in total anger and frustration over Trump and cavenaugh that Nikki Haley, obviously disapproves of cavenaugh disapproves of him being on the supreme court disapproves it away Trump handled it and can't handle it anymore and she's quitting. And the fact that that's the case is is buoyed by that. There was no leak meaning that her reaction has been knee jerk and sensible and so forth, and they bet all hot to trot about an all morning long over on CNN, even FOX even FOX sitting there a bunch of panelists analysts and so forth, really worried wringing their hands at all know, what does it mean? I can't I don't all know what's the 'cause everybody in that town. I don't care if they're one of us. I don't care if they're swamped water leftists. They're paranoid. They they just people leaving government that not done ED's. And if somebody's leaving Trump, then there are people waiting with baited breath for the whole Trump administration collapsed because this is what the swamp still thinks of Trump. It turns out that Nikki Haley just burned out she'd been doing this prior to that she was governor. She has been on an intense pressure pack shuttle every day for eight or more years. And it turns out she had told Trump that she was probably going to resign after his first two years. She will remain the ambassador to the United Nations until the end of the year making it two years. There's really nothing to see here. Now the swamp then began to concoct a bunch of rumors. That would explain this and foretell what was going to happen. The best and biggest rumor running around was it Lindsey Graham. Was going to announce his resignation from the Senate and become attorney general this, of course, would require session sweeter quit or be kneecapped. And then after Lindsey Graham leaves the Senate then NICKY was going to run for the Senate in South Carolina to replace Lindsay. Because we can't lose a Senate seat. And if if Lindsay was going to go over to the attorney general spotted leave Nikki can probably get none of that. None of that has any basis. In fact, it's all just rumor. And it's one of these things that isn't complicated. It's one of these things it is what it is. And people in Washington just can't get their arms around it because it's not normal people. Just don't quit government. They just they just don't. Less. There's upset about something angry about something. Hiding a scandal that is about to be revealed or some such thing. So the drive bys waving with bated breath, a couple of examples, poppy, Harlow info, babe, C, N N. This was her speculation earlier back in December two thousand seventeen on the president's accusers were coming forward. She said all of the accusers, including the president's accusers, quote should be heard look at what the president has said in the past few days about Dr Blasi for now, we don't know why she's resigning. I'm just pointing out areas where she has publicly disagreed with the president. So you see she believed Blasi. She believed ballsy forged was righteously indignant offended over the way Trump treated ballsy Ford. Dan, Kavanagh gets converted. She can't handle anymore. Now, we don't know this. I'm just pointing out areas where she's publicly disagreed with the president. Poppy Harlow had no idea what she was talking about nor did anybody. You know what there's a? Classic example of they found out Nikki Haley, I'm gonna be approximate with the time here they found other Nikki Haley was going to resign at ten o'clock and for an hour cable news had nothing but speculation as to why they couldn't just wait. They couldn't just wait for the announcement in the videotape from the Oval Office where she and Trump rescinded the bright yellow chairs by the fireplace. Couldn't wait. Nope. And fill that time with speculation. And that's when people really get dumb when all kinds of wild guess speculation. That's where people try to show their smarts. Folks. We're all these analysts and commentators tried to demo they're insider status and their operative knowledge and so forth. Some of the things that I heard being bandied about simply made no sense. But much of it as they say made for great television. It wasn't complicated at all. She just wanted to leave at nothing to do with Cavanaugh. It had nothing to do with. Ballsy and had nothing to do with the supreme court. It's simply had to do with the calendar and something she was going to happen long ago. In terms of the. Idea that she's upset. She before there's another rumor going around this. And she now she's going to resign, and she's going to run against Trump and twenty twenty that she hates Trump. She isn't barest Trump. She just gets. And is going to run for the Republican nomination in twenty twenty. So she headed that off at the pass before the press even started asking questions is no I'm not running in twenty twenty. The only thing I'm going to be doing is campaigning and supporting this guy, and she pointed at Trump. You could hear the wind to come out of the sales. Collectively of the drive by media who were convinced. That a woman was abandoning Trump because of ballsy because of Kavanagh, here's our old, buddy. Nick Robertson, all maybe all time favorite CNN foreign correspondent. And here is Nick Robertson this morning on CNN. Guessing back and forth with the info babe, poppy Harlow about Nikki Haley reason on the issues that allies.

"In the north bay At this hour it's seventy five degrees in San. Jose sixty one degrees in Oakland, eighty degrees in Sacramento and fifty nine degrees here in San Francisco Doc protests violence and accusations of election rigging stain the first Imbaba in election since Robert Mugabe's thirty seven year reign on Wednesday three. People were shot dead as police and military forces clashed with protestors protestors were responding to what they, see as a, rigged election after Mugabe's political party Zanu PF. Won a majority of the parliamentary elections Gabrielle Steinhaeuser is the Wall Street Journal's. Deputy bureau chief in. Africa and she's on the, ground in Harare Zimbabwe so we had the elections here on Monday and we. Have two main, contenders one. Is president mnangagwa's Samantha host Mugabe last November but to help us in military and his main rival is the opposition leader Nelson. Chamisa forty very smooth talking young men mnangagwa's already seventy five and has seen kind of on Mugabe's. Side for forty years and Chamisa Claims and allies claim. That they won the election whereas the, electoral commission had hasn't hasn't you semi presidential results but they have set that. That nuclear after ruling party has won two thirds of the seats in parliament. So that gives you an indication of what's going on and why people are angry so yesterday there were several hundred demonstrators are opposition supporters were marching through. Town in front of the electoral commission and that's when things got a bit rowdy initially I'm Jay, Wright police were, called in and did they watch reports of. People throwing stones and waving sticks and then suddenly they called in the military. With tanks and so. You had sort of automatic, weapon wielding soldiers chasing down seven straighter were maybe artistic or so but also. Lot of passer, bys were. Just shelling things on the streets of worship shopkeepers nearby were caught up in LA which was sort of change From the very peaceful election day that we have seen it also pledges of. No violence from both leaders ahead of like like and we've. Also seen the United Nations and Amnesty International in addition to other leaders calling for calm after these elections. You said that things today are relatively calm but are there concerns that this military. Crackdown could continue yes I think the concerns are there and it's not normal to have soldiers on the street, that's something bad people here saw last November. When, there was. This military intervention Betsy post Mugabe but then after a few weeks cultures were taken off the. Street does things are pretty normal so people are definitely. Worried concerned and at this point we also. Don't have a sign that the opposition will Kombi accepts the, election results they said that they believe that votes rigs and I believe that if. If there's about one be election it, will probably be more protests And, I think the government has shown that it's gonna crack. Down with a heavy hand and once the winner is announced. Or declared what is it exactly that the, people of Zimbabwe are looking for from this government I? Think, they want jobs as one of the things that I've heard from many many people you. Have unions saying that sign out of ten workers are unemployed there's a massive, cash crisis here, the dollar has seen dominant currency, in Zimbabwe since two thousand nine since they have that out. Of hyperinflation but people had actually. Get their dollars out Bank anymore they wanted international investment they want them to Konami that provides for people. There are a lot of people especially in. The countryside who sort of fairly being sustained on food aid, and don't see opportunities for children Gabrielle Steinhaeuser is Wall Street Journal deputy bureau chief in Africa Gabrielle thank you for being with us Sure thank you Takeaway is supported by progressive insurance,.

"Movie night for many sure. A lot of us now stay home and watch net or another streaming service. But if you're a true movie buff, well, the idea of an all you can watch subscription to see films in a real theater popcorn and all. Well, that seems pretty terrific, and that's what movie pass started offering in twenty eleven for about fifty bucks a month. Last October data analytics company Helius and Matheson bought a majority stake in movie pass and slash the price to less than ten dollars a month. Viewers couldn't get over such a deal and signed up like crazy soon. Movie pass had more than three million subscribers. Helius and Matheson stock shot up from under three dollars a share to more than thirty that was then today. That same stock is worth, oh, about a dime need. I say that there's a bankruptcy watch on for Helius and Matheson. The trouble movie pass bys each ticket for full price. Meaning the more people actually go to the movies, the more money movie pass loses. Things got even harder for the subscription service when rival AMC theaters got into the game to recently AMC began luring viewers into it's the with a three movie a week pass for a monthly fee of twenty bucks. AMC can easily beat movie, pass at his own game. It doesn't pay full price for its own tickets. That means it can turn a profit on each and every ticket even at a discount. The question now is whether the AM c. model is sustainable over time and whether the chance to see three movies week is the new happy ending for films and for Hollywood.
