WNBA Finals Game 1 Recap
"Anyone who follows man on twitter knows I'm I'm Elliott born and raised a dire laker fan there in the NBA finals right now? Tonight Lakers went up to on the Miami. Heat Lebron James Scores. Thirty three points with a double double Anthony Davis then your triple-double Anthony Davis it gets fourteen boards on route to a double breese Stewart was the best basketball player on the planet tonight wasn't even close and many NBA analysts would agree with me. This was. Honestly in your opinion, the years we've been covering the WNBA where does research performance night rank? WNBA performances you've watched. I, think, let's say in the last five years. Legitimately and this this includes. This includes all the Toronto stuff we've seen although all the game winning shots we've seen I think. The more dominant stretch from a player we've seen was about six minutes of sue bird. In the suber game. and. That was all so much that was from the perimeter and what brief Stewart does from all over the floor. She's just unstoppable in the post she's unstoppable and she's moving the ball. She's unstoppable from outside I. Think She's the Best Player we've seen blade this. I. A blanket A. Challenge anyone to come at me. If we're going by your five year window, she's doing this in the finals and that's where it matters the most and she's doing it off of an injury last year and I think every team in the league in a fantasy draft of players. If they redraft the whole league I think she's the consensus number one. I mean I believe there was a League's playoff game or Sylvia fells did the twenty, eight, twenty, nine. And that was impressive. Obviously I, think you're doing wholescale. Finals given context late, Adela done pushing her team to a championship on a non-functioning spine. Israeli something. This was a game where Seattle walked in as a two seed but was basically the odds on favourite given the strength and they were really. The biggest thing you needed was were we going to get what we had advertise from the stars you and I have been championing jewell Loyd this entire playoffs you've been consistently calling her future finals, MVP, Jewell, Loyd and. She. Is Hard to yeah. Looked at just her line in the box. Tonight you'd be like we're almost there. But like but but she definitely converted. Sue Bird breaks the single game. Finals assist record was one shy of the record at halftime. And why should we be shocked Meghan Rubino just wrote a player's Tribune column all about it. But. This was also a team up against Vegas team that definitely is is building their bulletin material. They have something to prove they going to hilarious run in the third quarter after being down seventeen at the half, they tied it up with a minute left in the third, a couple Julius free make it a two point game. It's a one basket game heading into the fourth quarter of finals, and it's at that exact point to restore. Basically said guys, why don't you go ahead and take a seat? Mama's got it taken care of she scored the first eleven points of the quarter and I don't mean the storms, I eleven points I mean the first eleven points of the quarter end you know that because espn was some real nincompoops and put up the graphic. That had fourth quarter points brief steward. Eleven. Las. Vegas. Aces zero as if anyone needed to know she categorically took over the game I mean this is the classic like great player mentality of. I have figured out the two three things I absolutely need to do and I'm just going to do them, and if you think you can stop it go ahead and try. But I know what I'm dealing with here and you brought up the context the ability to do that after. Technically. We're at this point for the storm twenty, two regular season games plus three semifinal games plus this she's twenty six games still into her WNBA. Return

In Crete mini videos. Quick Tips and tools that you can immediately implement. Be Sure to say. Hello and follow me. There defining spirituality often will be here that word we automatically think of religion and because so many people have had negative experiences with certain religions. Unfortunately it can be a turnoff for some people their different ways in which we can think of this for some people. They can think of spirituality in the forms of the ID EGO and Superego while other people like myself like to break it down into your spirit mind and body. Whatever word choices you want to use totally fine but it is important to recognize the different facets of you as a person when we think about spirituality. It often has to do with something that we can't see but often is connected with something that's greater than ourselves now. It doesn't necessarily mean that it's a higher being although some people do believe in that but it can be concept meaning it can be the collective consciousness it can be the concept of family that bond that really connects people and so when they feel like. They're struggling. They can tap into that family bond. That helps them when they're struggling. The beauty about spirituality is for those people who do believe in stopping that's greater than themselves they get to figure out what that means for them and often people will turn towards spirituality when it comes to difficult times in their life and yes. That's a wonderful way to connect with your higher power specifically when you are struggling because you recognize within yourself that you just don't have the wisdom or the strength or the knowledge to overcome. Whatever it is you're experiencing but how great would it be if your spiritual side of you was able to connect with a higher power when you're not struggling so it says constant connection to something when your day's going well because in that it doesn't come from a place of begging or pleading your case. I found for me that when it comes to my spirituality when I start my day with my spiritual practice. My Day goes incredibly. Well I always tell people however you start. Your date is indicative of how Your Day's GonNa go when you identify what spirituality means for you. Then you want to ask yourself well. How can I make sure that that's part of my every day? How can I connect with something? That's greater than myself. Often that can be demonstrated in meditation. Many Times people think meditation is what we see on. Tv or what? We see in pictures of a Tibetan monk on a mountain meditating for hours the reality is meditation is simply thinking about something over and over again. So we can even meditate on worrisome thoughts. If we're so anxious about something and all we do is think about the same thing over and over again. Well it's actually a former meditation. When you can be proactive in how you want to meditate in other words think of something that brings you joy. Think of something that inspires you. Focus on things that upon reflection bring you peace as you identify what your higher power is who it is. You also want to figure out what are the attributes that you're higher power has and the reason why I say that is because when you can understand the characteristics it helps you say well this. My higher power helps me and this is how my higher power perhaps directs me or connects with me because once you have that awareness then is easier to recognize how you may be influenced during the day to be able to make choices that are healthy for you chew be able to have that prompting of perhaps. I shouldn't go this way. Or perhaps I should talk to this person or just simple blessings that happened throughout the day. The whole point of this lesson is simply giving awareness that perhaps there is something greater than yourself and the beauty of that. Is You figure out what that means for you. Spirituality does not have to be an organized religion for some people. It is but if it's not for you can perhaps take this time to figure out. Well what does spirituality mean for me? And as you explore that you'll start to realize that. Perhaps there's a part of your life that was missing that you weren't even aware of it. And that's the beauty of spirituality. I have a fantastic interview today with Christine Breeze. She gives you multiple ways. And how to explore your spirituality and the types of leaders with whom you should conduct in order to help you along your spiritual path to stay tuned.

apart Russia check who is your candidate for president who do you want to see elected I think that Cory Booker and not Elizabeth Warren would be a great company you should but the voters will decide "It's made me a little bit nutty digging into this game. But the ram still struggle a little bit with teams that use a fullback in. That's the one thing. We've we've outlined with the patriots in how they've transformed down the stretch, they run the ball with a fullback Twenty-one personnel. Thirty eight percent of the time. That's a second most in the NFL behind Shanahan, actually. And I think that's where the match up in. Here comes right last week. We said they were going to be doing this. They did they're able to get out run the ball on the chiefs finally juice defensively main adjustment start sticking big dudes at the line of scrimmage help them. Stop the run in the second half a little bit. But I think we're gonna see a little bit of that here. You do have some in, you know, Shanahan in belch their familiar with one another. I think bell jets. Go look at that. Film of those two games at the forty Niners played against the Rams year and say, hey, Twenty-one personnel seemed to work out pretty good here. Right. You look at what the Rams defense did. In those two games gave up in the first one fifty eight percent rushing success rate in the week seven game week seventeen meeting five point eight carry. So that formation seems to be giving the Rams defense just a little bit of trouble. I think the other thing here that that's really interesting is. We're kind of going down the radio row path this week. Right. It's it's about the pressure. I think where you have to get it is important. We know Brady doesn't love it up the middle. So it's gotta be it's gotta be Donald. It's gotta be super who is playing like cares now. Let's just let's put it that Sousa guy. Sousa little bit of a mercenary, right? He knows you can get a Super Bowl here. There's probably some bigger free agent dollars. If your dominant in the playoffs and you pick up a SuperBowl. So he is playing his best football season. That is that is not as the price. So it'll be interesting. Those two guys have to figure out whether it's sue taking on onto guys. So Donald can work one on one or or even getting these free releases. But I think that's that's big right? You know, they went out, and they tried to to add some guys who can help give them pressure. Right. They signed file or the trade for Fowler junior. It's helped some right is basically one of the biggest winning plays last week. He created the interception in overtime on Breese tip. Got to the quarterback tipped his hand. So that was massive. You're still looking at the Rams or twenty first pass rush. And I think when you look at New England's offensive line. It's there are some good parts. But Dante scar Nekia is fantastic. They're number one in in in pass protection in the NFL this year, you will get how things are trending in the playoffs Brady has had ninety playoff drawbacks. He's only been hit three times hasn't been sacked a single time. But I think to take that one step further just the dichotomy of Tom Brady being one of the worst quarterbacks in the league. When when he's pressured I when he's not so it is something that that you really wanna talk about. I think that's that's one of the big TS here for this defense. The other one is when you're looking at the match up of the patriots offense in how they want to attack. They really focus. I think in this key in we can all remember this, right? The reason why Bob Sutton is now fired is because he played cover to basically the entire game. He loud the patriots to throw to the middle of the field. The allowed him to throw underneath allowed him to throw into the slot. All night long. And then obviously got gashed on the ground. But if you can defend the slot. You have shot against the patriots offense in quietly. The Rams defense defending slot passes. The final six weeks of the season has been the best in the NFL. They've only allowed a thirty three percent success rate on passes to the slot since two leaves been back in week fourteen..

"It was supposed to be a run. But there was a bullet. So Breese checked into a pass. So that excavates Peyton that little bit. But that final series only, I think at burn like thirteen seconds off of the clock. So he certainly deserves some of the blame for that and largely debris was just not very good. At the end of the and which is part of I think like a larger trend that had been going on all season. And we're not all seats. Pardon me. Mike Sando published the splits between the first eleven and final seven games. Andrew in the first eleven breeze had a QBR of eighty six point six final seven fifty point three and the entire offense was significantly worse. And I feel like we kind of discounted that going into this game. Yeah. I mean, if you look at what breezes done this year, and he's had he's had a great. He was up there with patching Mahomes for like essentially finalist for the MVP award. And I'm not taking anything with. I think group Brees is one of the best quarterbacks ever played the game. Obviously statistic back that up unfortunate the way that this season ended for him. But if you look at the body of work of drew Brees, we he was heavily in the conversation. But this season doesn't match up with the previous season sees at he didn't grow for like a ton of yard the other incredible run game. I'm not saying that people around him made him. Kuwait was this these, but he was there more talented. They rely have they have Ingram. They have Alvin Kamara he's actively leading. And he's he's done really. Well with that that being said, you're right did train that way into this game? And I feel like the conversation should be around some of the coaching decision. Best job painting made even if you go back to last season. And I forget what I think it was their plan the Carolina Panthers. And they went for it or like a fourth down late in the game in midfield, and they gave the ball right back to the pants and now they got out of there by the skin of their teeth. But it was like a bad coaching decision. And it was like all they laughed it off. But yeah, worked out in our favor, but you can't make coaching decisions. Like that down the stretch. I don't feel like the ramp got away one this game. I feel like the Rams were the better team. I feel like they were more talented, although the things are super challenges. I feel like they came in. They. Absorb the early blows the saints and his game away three thousand miles away. You know, face go out for a drive ramping turnover. It's so loud that can't hit themselves thing. And they just stayed the course and again kudos the same season. I I'm just not walking around feeling sorry from for the miscall as bad as miss 'cause it was I think they're pretty even the teams in this game. I that's how I came. I didn't really think either was significantly better outplayed the other. I think Jared Goff. Outplayed drew Brees in the end of the game. And certainly in overtime, right? And that ended up being the difference. Jared Goff was not great first few quarters the same in some of that was you mentioned the sound. And I think he had to like put tape on his helmet, and then he had to borrow Sean man's helmet or something. But the sound it causes such a problem, especially the Rams offense the way they're built with all of those. Precept motions and sniffs in shifts, sniffs shifts. I mean, you could see like in those those first few drives Jerry off like physically running over to communicate and the guard the guards coming across because they couldn't even hear each other right in that caused a lot at first, but he was awesome at the very end of the game. And. I was really really impressed by his play outside the pocket at the end. You know, those final two bootlegs too. I think it was Everett. No he'd be on the last drive. But. I don't know. I just a sound breeze for second. I don't know how much of the blame..

"They were never funny in the comics that was that was strict they did all that. That's that's the comics. I'm talking about the movie, and you talk about that didn't have personnel actually introduce their personalities in the move. They told you who they were. And they gave them a little funny gags to do. They had a little funny sight gags near the hotel. Yeah. When he's raised his finger up. You know, this is a Guinness a more humorous movie. I'm just saying that, you know, as far as this is a theme that feels very familiar to what they are ready to something that they already did. And I thought that you know, as far as selling a trailer the trailer sold it a little bit better. Also put together better to cut together. Yeah. Galaxy mean? Fairness they're able to play with more things like music they ever played with the humanness. They got more exaggerated characters, and I have you. But still, nevertheless, if I saw those two together, it'd be like all right? That's the one that stands out seen something. Like this really before the other thing I've seen in different versions kinda. And I'm not saying that. Can't come out and defend this either. Because I think some people are. There's a lot of things like I think people kind of being fair with some things to before even watch those looking at comments in reading about how people were say. Yeah. But her performances terrible. I don't know what they're gonna do about that. And even the guy at work who showed it. He's I like everything about it. But but her man, I just feel like she's got she's giving nothing. She just friends. Sleepwalking? And then when I watched it I was like I'm not talking about. She doesn't even have a chance to do that enough. Okay. She's doing a good orbit again. I don't think it's fair to say, okay. Put it this way. I think it's fair to talk about hurt in context of the trailer to say that this doesn't seem interesting to me. Are she doesn't seem interested interested in me is fair? Because again, I don't think the trailer was put together what he sold her. Well, enough to say that it is going to be bad just movie she gonna bring everything that's not fair. That's what they were saying they they weren't saying. We don't see much captain marvel. They were saying Breese religion sucks. Good actress actor that's not fair, man. The trailer doesn't do a good job of making her interesting. I'll give you that all her narrating backstory. But you've always said Tresors lie. I mean, you know, I mean, they I mean, they cut some bad. And then you watch it. Scenes in a trailer that aren't any being in the movie true..

"And sitting in there in in there's so for me that kind of sort of empathetic way of being ends up scoring high. And I've seen it that. And I'd say. Second thing when atas curiosity, and it's not really an emotion. Maybe that's kind of way of being. But I've noticed that the best merchants are curious because they're not looking at something at face value. And then there becomes of course, agility and the being able to serve change and move move with really rapid changing environment that we're in one of the things that I've found interesting reading about this stuff is the notion of somebody's identity like appealing to points of their identity, and that can remember the person's name in the book. But there was a section narrow about how models in an advertisement should be seen as aspirational tools. They allow people to project their own desires sort of onto this talk about that. I it was when I was at Laurie ally, the part of the business that I love talking about creativity was a part of creating images, I loved it. I think more than all the marketing studies and things like that and charts and graphs that we were doing I was just drawn to this idea of creating an image that could draw some into your product. And I remember these endless marketing meetings where you'd have the agency on one Seta table and. You'd have the customer, which was Laurie. Al the other side of the table Loria with their marketing Breese and checking off the boxes of does the hair. Look this way are the is right. And at the end of the day, really what you're looking at is a picture of something that either you say I with that. Or I wanna look like that or I don't and so with these models. I got very close to the art director who explained to me because I thought wait a minute. Aren't you using women in a way, that's sort of it? I had this sort of instinct about feels kind of weird you're using women for their beauty said. No, no. This is an aspirational thing you want to buy the products because they're so beautiful. And there's something that they give to the camera. That's not just plastic physical beauty. It's an aura of beauty that helps the customer draws a customer should set your product. So to me, it was really fascinating shift of frame to say, no, no, it's not using someone. It's actually aspiring it's inspiring someone. So that they aspire to your product. I'd love to hear the contrast between. Gene, kind of thinking about these ideas at somewhere like old navy, Versace Chanel. So I read a amazing book, which like I did not expect to like, but someone recommended called luxury strategy, and it talked about the basically the difference between marketing and luxury and everywhere else. And if I had to summarize the book, it's like do the opposite of of marketing completely I'll never forget one of the funniest meetings. Had we had we had a new employee when we were at Chanel, and this person was from sort of like me from a more mass market environment. And so we had to raise prices of our classic handbag because we actually had an raise prices in years. So it's time to kind of inch them up. And you know, he was quite afraid that if you raise prices you sell less. So the opposite, and I'll never forget like looking wide eyed. And meaning you've got to be kidding. We sold more units, not less. So it really less is more. I had unlearn absolutely everything when I got to Schnell coming from old navy all about exploit what you've got don't sell ten thousand seven million flag cheese. Like more is better at Chanel. The more you sell the less exclusive. You you were so handbags is a perfect example. You don't wanna see Chanel handbags coming and going on a street, otherwise that means alternately, your.

Nikki Bella and John Cena Break Up Again Two Months After Reconciling
"Visit vinyl story. Nikki Bella officially canceled wedding to John CENA. Again, quote, I've ruined everyone's fairytale. Okay, I watch these two are out of control. These two are out of control, and I saw so until I watched what Obama's last night and I, it was it was the season finale and I understand so much of why everything happen. And why Nikki Bella feels the way that she believed that it was a PR setup for the show. I do not feel like, okay, so this is what happened. She they broke up and then they got back together because John said this, he wanted kids and she thought that that was going to change everything. So they got back together. So it wouldn't. You went on the today show that was the first break up, but I'm saying was filmed. What time is the season finale gulleys valleys after today, show that was filmed socially. We're filming the whole thing. They were filming this season. Finale must be from like a month ago two months ago. Also. It's been very quiet recently because they feel like they wanted to put it out this way. No one knew if they were together or not. And then she said on a live stream that like he's yeah. Yeah. So they got back together after he said that he wanted kids, and I think she thought that would like fix everything because it takes a lot of things. Then she went on her back to Paris, which looked les Miz and she was miserable. And the whole thing was miserable. It was like fake, Kim Kardashian doctorate party except it was MS and she like was terrible mood. And I guess she was also unhappy during her engagement party. She's doing all this planning for the wedding by herself with Brie John for any of it and just indicative of what their life is going to be better. And I think she was just like really on unhappy like in herself and as a person. And she said she was depressed while also having like there's she was like, I felt so much pressure like I'm wonder, woman superman and like we came together and everybody is just like, once it's a fairy tale, prom, king and Queen. And honestly, I on the back of the cheerleader. I felt like I perpetuated not came here and sat on this show that you guys need to get back together and like she felt that pressure she learned. So like I think she was really trying to make it work and she doesn't. She thinks that John is a great man and like she could see them getting back together. But I think like she's a little sad in herself right now when she needs to work.
