So after you got them behind a gate for protection, he called an alligator hunter for help. I wonder if it was alligators Bob or alligator, Steve or whatever His name was so after struggling to contain and capture the beast, which was 11 feet long and nearly £600 the hunter called the Texas game wardens for backup eventually took three hours. Seven people, two poles, ropes, several pieces of plywood to get this gator out of the water. Now has a new home in an alligator theme park in Boma. Not, what I Wreck attack Karl and linguists call. By the time we got their class had just been dismissed but people were mingling outside surrounded by plane single storey buildings. We approach to women and I can hear that they're speaking mum Oakton skomer when. On those. It's a centuries old Mayan language. and. "So you broken network cable that was in the ground Oh yeah. Is that right? Is it a cat cat sixty think for the regular incidents Jason Hansen it'd be mad at me. Jason. Helped me in solace. Up a half ago, we took a cable he was at one of the classes and his don't be this leading that destroyed one from the house he went looked in house and he said Oh all you need is a four hundred foot burial cable. You know woman a little bit more checks on the outside or tougher thing. So we went from the House across the yard about four hundred feet into the new. Black Barn. And today the guys who are doing the driveway. Because, he came up and he said you can say I just broke a cable. He wasn't took a little black wire as thaw. which is it's not a big deal but I have two laser stuff in a few hours. So I have to splice so that I could I'm GonNa have just figure how to connect my computer directly to the laser. Laser unit. The full spectrum laser so I'll figure it all out. So I just have a spicing kit somewhere I could spice it and buried again it's just a you know it's one of those things where you think like you plan your day your mind I'll have to this that a have to find this the whole package splicing equipment, which I haven't seen since a year and a half a mile and a half six this. Thing. They're widening my drive land on the barn, the my local landscaping guys, and he's walking the dog at eight o'clock to call me over his wire carpets out anything important. Stick it out of the ground to five foot pieces. Ten, feet apart like That's my laser job in four hours. Anyway it's. It's not it could have been a lot worse. It's you know these things whenever these guys dig a funny thing was once got tremendous trench to the electric from the street. They had to put three-phase cable from the street all the way to the barn and Derek from Maldon came over one day and he's like looking in the hall and he goes you know you guys cut a phone line didn't don't Cha we did. When he point he pulled in the hall had been dug for like a month I didn't even notice city because that's what he does for a living. In look look and it was a cable like about as thick as my wrist with about twenty thousand wires in it. Ripped right. Open idol even looking at it from one angle ciders thought it was a water of black water hose which water was coming out of it gets its abandoned but if you look at it from the other direction is like. Ten thousand wires hanging out of the, but they will cut very cleanly. And he goes how long ago did you cut this? They broke it about ten days ago he does no one's come to bobby nope because then it must be abandoned. Because usually when these things break, they know right away. Oh yeah and. Because there was a it was his is the bucket. So one half of the why was ripped out of the wall and laying face into the mud so I just thought it was a hollow black water to. And the other one was sticking out from the angle. You couldn't feel the wires anyway. And then about ten feet away in the trees have grown into one of the trees is A. Porcelain. Placard from. Bell telephone. And it's grown into it's gotta be from like the fifties on in the forties because half engulfed in the tree in his bell telephone. So that must be and then when we dug up a French drain by the Barn. By the other by the machine shop, which is about four hundred feet away they found the same cable. So it runs diagonally through my property right under every single holy Dick So. It's abandoned but the little tiny Internet cable, which is about as thick as a pencils broken and I'm gonNA figure six after we get off. labile learn something new. Yeah, it's a pain in the butt though a strip does tiny little wires and well, I'm Gonna I'm GonNa. Try need twice I gotTA. Yeah I'M GONNA try to do a connector connector connecting connector. You know. A peace in the middle, and then just cover covered with like six pounds of lactate and put it back on the ground. Everyone's passionate. Everyone's punching this computers for now. It's not gonNA work. That's what people do. That's fun. Anyway other than that. What are you up to? What have I been up to whip building trailers didn't put a movie out last week as building trailers. We're building eight bullet Bourbon trailers that are going to go to Texas in the last ones I built over probably few weeks maybe four weeks four to five weeks considering the prototype. Now, this eight I started last Thursday now it's almost one week later and they're just about there about seventy five percents done. WHO's still out to do the doors for build bumpers but with a team here, the team that I got helped me out is incredible everything's moving along swiftly. And, we'll make tires. Sixteen fake tires at a plywood. In every single tired uses up just about one full sheet of plywood. And takes thirty minutes to cut because there's I didn't count this probably sixty pieces that I cut out like little arcs of circles we connect them together. To make related them together like a like A. Layer cake then six layers apply what makes up one tire. When fake tire everyone's like why don't you just buy tires because that means that I have to buy tires with Rennes connect the rims to something that's both if I keep it all would I could just nail screw everything. And if I do the cost analysis, it's probably the same amount of money to buy the plywood and take the time to put it together. But I don't have the the ability to just nail in screw I have to Baltin get involved all the Have to down the rabbit hole of using the trailer equipments connect tires as opposed to just using screws announced nothing has to turn so it doesn't matter.

Senate Holds Confirmation Hearing For Trump's New Pick For Ambassador To Ukraine

"Update now on two important diplomatic vacancies. One is the post of U. S ambassador to the Ukraine. The last woman who held that Senate confirmed job was a central figure in President Trump's impeachment. And now the president's pick for the job is facing some lingering question in his own confirmation hearing. NPR's Michelle Kelemen reports President Trump's ouster of the ambassador to Ukraine featured prominently in his impeachment trial. Marie Ivanovich face to smear campaign by Trump's private lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who had been pressing Ukraine to get dirt on Vice President Joe Biden. Senator Bob Menendez, the ranking Democrat on the Foreign Relations Committee, says that's still happening. Giuliani Esteban, Savory Ukrainian characters have not let up their efforts to use Ukraine to interfere in U. S politics. Others in the Senate seem intent on amplifying their efforts. Menendez wants the new nominee, retired Lieutenant general Keith Dayton, to avoid playing into this and avoid any meetings with Giuliani. Senator I'm not going to commit to that, because I believe that as an ambassador, I would have the obligation to meet with any U S citizen and hear them out. It was a home. Dayton has been a defense attache in Moscow, a security advisor for the U. S on the Israeli Palestinian conflict, and, in recent years has run the George Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Germany. He's well versed on Ukraine, but his answers frustrated both Menendez and another Democrat Chris Murphy. So at the end of the hearing, he did offer this reassurance. Ify is the U. S ambassador and key Have any indication that there is any kind of election interference going on using Ukraine as a azalea ever to do that? I would, of course, report that directly to this committee. I think you have a right to know that I think I have an obligation to report that to Dayton says his priorities in the country, if confirmed, would be to help Ukraine fight corruption and beef up Ukraine's Navy and Air force. Next door in Belarus. The U. S is reviving diplomatic relations in part because of Russia's aggression. In Ukraine. Career diplomat Julie Fisher has been tapped to run the U. S embassy in Minsk. Our relationship with Belarus languish for more than a decade. But after Russia's illegal seizure and occupation of Crimea, and it's manufactured war in Ukraine stone best region, we began to see signs of interest from the Belarussian sign. Belarus recently bought US crude oil to decrease its dependence on Russia and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo visited Minsk earlier this year. But the's warming ties will be tested by an election this Sunday, and Fisher face questions about that the first component to ensuring that we can continue to grow this relationship. Not see steps backward in the conduct of this presidential election. The long time ruler Alexander Lukashenko is facing a united opposition in the run up to this election, and his regime has been cracking down. There will be no international monitors, though Fisher says the U. S embassy will be watching the vote closely. What we are trying to get Johnny is basically to ensure that there is space to ensure their space for more than one voice. In this country. Lukashenko kicked out the less U. S ambassador to Belarus in 2008 after the US accused his government of human rights violations and tighten sanctions. Michelle Kelemen NPR NEWS Washington

I was certainly what I'm here to talk to you about was an experience and I'm more than willing to share you and your son took a trip here the other day please tell us about it ma'am. We did so my son is just graduating from high school, and as you know for graduating seniors, this has been a really trying time, and so I wanted to do something special with just the two of us. And when I saw that there was going to be the public viewing and a chance to pay. Tribute. To. A Great Leader in a credible patriotic American and someone certainly who has made such a difference in all of our lives and that's representative. John Lewis I said you know what? Kiddo we'll make a day trip. And because I'm from the big state of Texas, where in eight hour drive is absolutely nothing We decided to go ahead and do it and we I'm so glad we did I'm exhausted but I am so glad we did now I want to tell you what the environment was like. It was hotter and BC than I've ever seen it. You know and I used to visit these see pretty regularly this was. Amazing and and I'm speaking as a Texan who used to heat but it was air temperature, seven degrees and horrible humidity. So it was a heat index well over one hundred. And so my Drove eight hours then we. Walked. according to my watch a little more than two miles and then we waited in line for another two hours and it was during that time that I got to talk to these extraordinary people. Of course we're all wearing our masks but I am always journalist I don't turn it off. And, I got to talk to extraordinary people who are there with their children and National Public Radio journalist who is right in front of me, and she was there with her eight year old and her eight-year-old went to the line was so long to play with other children they brought a car game and they were sitting there on the steps of the Capitol as we were waiting playing this card game and I looked at those children and they were children of every race and creed. Sitting there waiting to pay tribute to John Lewis. and. That was absolutely the very embodiment of history. You know he in Martin hoped for the sons of former slaves. Miss Sends a former slave owners would sit together the table of brotherhood and there they were. I was watching it happened right before me. I got a beautiful picture of these children all playing together and they become fast friends over this two hour wait in line. To, lower in line, we're all talking and I talked to a man from Virginia. He was late seventies and this was an extraordinary line. To wait in a white gentleman seventies. Waiting in this line and I said, why is it so important for you to be here and he said, where else would I be? which I thought was extraordinary. So we waited in the two airline which surprisingly considering the length of the line moved pretty quickly and they had his body with a row of gorgeous white flowers. And and then to members of the military on either side. And the coffin was flag-draped. It's at the top. Of the steps on the east side of Capitol, and then they had several lines of where you could stay there in front of the Capitol for in front of the casket for some time as you. Soaked in the moment and prayed for him and pay tribute to him. And you know we'd all been talking and and you know just kind of Chatty for the two hours that were in line, and then as you arrived right there in front of the steps on that you side of the Capitol it became hushed. And then this woman who was obviously obviously professionally trained she sounded like she was either a lyric soprano or a Coloratura which is the highest voice part. started singing, swing-low-sweet-chariot. I've just got chills. It was so Beautiful. Into look around in that line and to see people of every race. Color and creed. who had waited two hours in the heat. I thought it was especially poignant for his fraternity brothers to be there. So he was a member of Phi Beta sigma. Their colors are blue and white, and they were all there in their royal blue jackets with the sigma insignia on it full suits and ties. And their jackets in over a hundred degree. Heat. And so I talked to them about why it was so important for them to be there in a suit. And they said we needed to give this man to respect that he's do. And I don't care how hot it is. We are going to put on a suit. To honor congressman, Lewis. And then there were probably about forty or fifty of them and they all join hands and they sing the fraternity chapter him standing right there beneath the casket it was. Amazing to witness. It was amazing. Well. Worth an eight hour drive. It's usually about a seven hour drive but as most of New Yorkers, no highway eighty, one can be a bear and so we sat there for about an hour and a half. So it took a bit longer to get there. "What you drive away from your body as you ever. More focus on the pollutant You have put into. It is good health right you you as as the pollutant in your body occupies evermore Of Your time and and and who? You are physically than vitality and fitness. And you know the appropriate function of our Oregon Systems. And all that other stuff. There's less for room for that I think it's easy to see those things if we're talking about some substance but I and it's good that it's easy to understand that because I would like to suggest that you take that same kind of concept and you apply to non physical things that we could put into our body say Anger if anger is something we allow to pollute who we are That anger like most pollutants will grow We will If find ourselves you know with an escalating amount it'll be like one of those corona virus graphs from back win right And the anger will become evermore defining who we are and it will push out the other sweeter Pure better more useful Emotions and approaches. So that the natural compassion kindness and decency that are in. Most people will be pushed out the door incrementally by the ever rising power of of of anger that pollutant in our lives. What about pornography? And you know not to come off like The pastor from when you were a teenager but a pornography is something that you know this day and age and the last generation or so if pretty broadly embraced is a pollutant to our mind. Our our spirit to our a social attitudes and expectations and like other pollutants to our body. AH soul or mind it It tends to metastasis it You use a little bit and then you want to use a little bit more and ultimately it can become a priority all pollutants are potentially addictive. Meaning that something kicks in either of the mind or body which creates a a gnawing dependence upon that pollutant than that. Obviously as we mentioned is true of alcohol drugs you can also be true of of the the bad attitudes and emotional responses like anger it also that can be true of some of these pollutants we put into our our our mind and soul again like pornography there is undeniably addiction which can kick in and they're also in that pushing out of what is wholesome and good he. We can lose our understanding and even our Ability to Form Real relationships and find real satisfaction or happiness In the real world What a horrible damage that would be to a person or to American family There also are a pollutants of of of attitudes and even philosophies falsehood Typically is not very appealing But you know you can apparently Rapa Turda pretty enough bow and make it sell. And there are philosophies in attitudes abroad in the world and some of them do relate to things like politics or economic systems and these Pollutants of the mind and a society have the same effect as the other pollutants. We have discussed they Sink their roots into US and they tend to task the size and they tend to take us over they attend tend to become bigger batter and As they grow that's true of all pollutants to include some of these economic or political or or social ideas that are out about And being aware of this phenomenon and it just as you can become addicted to a substance or to a thought pattern or to behavior you can become. I believe functionally addicted to your relationship with even a political idea or a socioeconomic I idea and they Can leave the bounds of rational engagement and become something of a. I don't know passionate Kind of over the top Sorta deal How do we Avoid a pollutants. How do we handle them? The best way to avoid Pollutants and the addictive processes associated with them is to never try them or take them up in the first place the only time you can be confident of a escaping an addiction of any sort behavioral or attitudinal or chemical or physical is to never do that thing or use that substance to which you might potentially become addicted and how to do that or how to step out of the swamp into which we have stepped. Think you hold up a simple standard. Does this bring me closer to God? Does this bring me closer to my family? Does this bring me closer to the people around me? There's this make me want to do good or just make me want to do. Evil is this of light or is it of darkness and be honest in your assessment and that which is good and light go in that direction and that which is a dark and bad. "Do people Assert an officially establish and subsequently defend those God given rights while of the history of the United States of America is any guide and it is It is through the shedding of blood. We mark this weekend. The sacrifice of those men and women who have laid down their lives to allow us to exercise these God given rights that may seem barbaric or sinister and yet history teaches us. It is the only way because those who would bind and press seem to a recognize other language nor respect in any other currency and it is of course an echo of a similar price paid for our spiritual liberty there is bondage of the soul. It comes about as a consequence of sin We are free to choose morally in the eyes of God and a we may will choose morally to do that which is wrong and I think that that may be pretty common. Meaning that some of us in some way at some time in our life in it to some degree have done exactly that and thereby bound ourselves with the consequence of our sin. We have stained our souls if you will made ourselves impure and unclean. Yeah how do we Escape the bondage of CNN its consequences. Well just as physical liberty secured by the shedding of Patriots blood Spiritual Liberty is secured by the shedding of the saviours blood. There is In the death of Jesus Christ the atonement of the son of God. There is a paying of the price for our spiritual and eternal liberty. And so this Memorial Day as we remember those who gave their lives to provide for our social political and cultural freedom let us remember he who gave his life to pay for our a spiritual freedom. I believe that understanding these two things will enhance our appreciation of them. Both those who we honor this weekend and he who I hope Every day of our lives we carry in our hearts remember also this last takeaway if freedom is from God then the suppression of freedom is from the devil and we ought to stand always on God's side and we ought always to stand in opposition to the devil. I'm Bob Blondes Brian. This is your home. Welcome back my friend. I'm Bob Blondes. Brian this is your hometown. You know We've had an opportunity. These recent three months to be reminded those of us with children at home of the great value of classroom instruction. I have nine children and I have had children in public schools now for thirty consecutive years. And I think I have another ten or eleven years to go and I naturally have Observed and appreciated over these long years. The instruction provided my children by teachers up at the school So many of them have done so much good and some of them Who HAVE DONE. The most good are among the most appreciated people in our lives our being myself. My Wife My children And so you know I. I've long been a fan and I've long been aware of the great potential. That teachers in classrooms have to To change lives for the the good in this shutdown of schools though. I appreciate certainly the efforts of teachers online and the various Very helpful programs there are for online instruction My sense is that you know looking at a screen or watching a video or sitting in zoom meeting will never provide any more than the tiniest fraction of good and true instruction and Compassionate leadership that can come from a truly committed. A teacher in a classroom of willing students So so I'm grateful An interesting thing about classroom is that it is most typically of a lecture sort and I don't say that critically because I love The lecture form of teaching. I love to have somebody stand up and teach me something. Explain something to me. Give me knowledge I for me at work one hundred percent. I'm so thankful for it. But the lecture of form of teaching is just one form of teaching It is a tool that's highly effective in the right environment. But of course in the wrong environment could be almost completely ineffective and I mentioned this not as a commentary on schools and teachers and the techniques they use but I mentioned it more as a lesson to those of us who might be parents right. Because here's one thing I have observed as a parent like. I said I have nine. Kids my. I do not assert by any means that makes me an expert or gives me any kind of insights Or IN ANY WAY INDICATES THAT. I would presume in all those areas that the answer would be in the negative not the affirmative. I have a far greater Tendency to screw up then to get things right but nonetheless. I'd like to make this observation that the lecture form of teaching so wonderfully effective with teachers in classrooms is only marginally and infrequently the right tool to us as parents in the home yes. We should be very clear with our children. We should instruct them directly. This is what's right. This is what's wrong. This is how you behave. This is how you don't behave. This is how this works. This is the way you do. There is absolutely an essential role for that form of parental instruction And leadership. But you'd be surprised. How infrequently hit is the right tool I think that more commonly and beneficially used for instruction in the home then the lecture method is the example. Method is so often like say when you know your children get to be a certain age and they start getting little Lippi Or they get adolescence on them and they start being creatures from another planet Pretty much hating you and thinking you're an idiot or whatever like that When you see squabbling and bickering and things of those sorts of amongst your children or insulin's a express towards you It is So often the natural impulse to see that as some inadequacy or failing of that child. Hey stop being a screw up And and here's the deal responsibility for our individual actions and personal moral choice or agency. They those are real things. And they apply to kids past a certain age to write When you're little teeny tiny they. They can't really make moral choices or just a little you know. I don't know what some kind of amphibian deal But they get to be a certain age eight nine ten something like that and they know right and wrong in naked make choices and and make you know that's when they become moral agents it at least to some degree I believe. But but here's my point When we look at little johnny or Suzy and say my gosh why are they not doing better say in the quarreling or the bickering or the selfishness? Or the whatever else like that. I'd come back to our teaching technique and while probably we have got the lecture portion of a down. Well don't do that. That's wrong okay. And again that's necessary and essential It is however Not Sufficient you need to get to the example way of teaching and children.

Well how do you feel now. I mean you're out out there in the country and you've got these hungry. Who knows who knows who knows who is growing We'd around him. Does that make you feel you know unease. Yeah do you have. Do you have a man that you live with. Yeah he's he's got to at least two or three guns right. He has no guns no. I'm no I'm surprised began a BB gun. Well that's all that's all you need. That's all you need. You know we we. We live here because we want our privacy. What you want your privacy firm focused on your privacy for? I'm just curious. Because they get naked. They walk out in the back and they have a hot tub and the naked out there in the B- I knew something was going on. I can tell someone's going on because very often people that are real real focused on having their privacy have a need for their privacy. Because we've always lived in you know do these populated areas in the city pretty middle aged and tired of it all tired of the people and then what do you get you get marijuana growers and the US West Governor products in the backyard. What are you GonNa do open and take a relaxing soak in the tub that you can't Undo Gail really thank you? God bless you in a situation where doesn't need to mind our business because it could it be to make a long story short I look. I wonder I'm with you if perhaps that smoke interest. It's Bob and Sheri and stuff you won't hear on the show the Bob and Sheri cast on the Bob and Sheri APP. Get it now in itunes store or Google play. You WanNa hear some things I've found in your cat the owner's manual that can deepen and enrich your relationship with Kiki not at all. Are you sure because I have. I have some really good stuff like on page thirty two. This is about allergies. Because you know how you're allergic to the Katie and you suffer and and yet it's important to have this warm loving relationship with Katie and yet the allergies are between the two of us. It is not important. Horton Somme Dr Dr Marty Becker. WHO's the author of your cat? The owner's manual says investing. Kitty couture no. I'm not kidding. Dressing your cat not shirts sweater or bodysuit helps keep your home for free zone. I'm supposed to dress the cat up so it doesn't shed like in a little bodysuit. Yeah that's that's insane. That's a really really good idea. Yeah in the in the warmer weather coming up. That's a good idea. Now you know how you enjoy the sunshine you're always demanding to know where the sun is and fresh air is good right. Dr Marty Becker says how about taking your cat outdoors and walking anger with a harness that doesn't seo one person in my life do that and it was so ridiculous looking. Okay Dr Becker says all all right Bob that's not for you. One of my don't WanNa be walked. One of my colleagues a brilliant cat behaviorist tells me her. Cats live for the opportunity to go for a ride in a stroller. Any stroller with ZIP close seating area makes the perfect place for a cat to safely. See the world while you get in a walk. Have you ever seen a cat who is placed than something by human being. The cat felt comfortable. Whatever you you know? You don't know if Kiki would enjoy being pushed do you've not tried it. You don't know Bob Dr Marty Becker says one way to do is open a dedicated savings account and have of your bank deposit money into it to plan for Kiki's future healthcare. Needs Right here Dr. Andy would you like to teach savings account like like a health savings account. Yes the savings account which which like to teach. Kiki a treat a trick. I would keep Katie trading diving short and sweet. If the cat isn't having a good the time you're not doing it right sir. Tasty tiny treats that are easy to swallow and Bob Only Drink Kiki. When you're in a good mood the other thing that Dr Marty Becker suggests S.'s? Take your cat places. Take your cat with you. When you're making a deposit drive? Take Kiki with you to pick up fast food meal L.. Kiki experience rides in the car. You know there's an expression hurting. His heart is hurting cats. There's a reason for that expression. They can go wherever they WANNA go. They don't WanNa do what you wanted to. We used to have cats and we'd take them in the car and they would sit there and get really quiet and then they would just hang their mouth open with that tongue out and you knew what was coming next. Yep that's right you know how sometimes and this is the last tip Dr Marty Becker the author of your cat the owner's manual has you remember how I'm not sure she's doing it anymore. But you remember how Kiki used to wake you up on a weekend morning. Yeah because she wanted to eat right. Dr Becker has to tips visit you. Yeah the first I tip is to satisfy your cats hunger pangs without having to leave your bed. Purchase a timed feeder or leave a loaded puzzle hustle toy. These are toys. You can buy at the pet smart where you can put food in. The McKee can play with them to get the bits of food out. And you'll sleep restlessly while Kiki smacks around ARATU leaf plastic foodball. I know what you're you know what I did. I went out and I bought a A PAD scratching head. This is the fourth one that I've purchased. I've I've spent about Eighty Bucks on scratching pets so should stop tearing up she. She liked the thin one. But it wasn't enough. I found a big one and make me stop. Why am I talking about Dr? I read about that in the book. Dr Becker said that you should get down on your hands and knees and scratched it yourself. I'm going to tell you have done. Yeah and you know. There's nothing like scratching on something a cat spin on when you're allergic that it gets underneath your nails and then maybe later you touch your I. It's a great idea. Here's Dr Bekker's Final tip that. I'm going to share with you. I thought the last one was the final. This is this is about feeding. Kiki gets hungry. Wakes you up and once you feed her and she search she needs to eat. Becker says why not try a bedtime snack of fat free or low fat sliced is Turkey it contains strip to fan and essential amino acid. That is so she can sleep quality because cats don't get enough sleep. How many cats have you seen that? Were walking around and they just say I'm just not getting enough sleep all day. You should get down on your hands and knees Kiki's slice Turkey events if I could sit out of my hands in these in Kiki's in my mind she here on this show Bob and Sheri hot cast on the Bob and sorry. I was online at this British website and they had an article about a woman who is Carol. Anne Rice life coach it. Just we're talking now and I don't know how I feel about life coaches but Here's what she says. Commit or coast. Don't sit on the fence in in life. So here's how you grab your destiny like a boss and you can start today. Give one hundred percent to what you must due today. Stop Moaning resisting and coasting. If you are in paid worker you work for yourself go the extra mile give it a one hundred percent put your heart and soul. Olen Day everything you do address your home your friendships your relationships and all your actions own it Mann Simons sounds really tiring Do you do you put your heart and soul into how you dress. I've read everything. I live with such enthusiasm and it never gets in the way of my incompetence. I'm out I never let Pity uh or clumsiness. Get in the way mine. Are you telling me that you I mean I know people and and generally they're women though sometimes there are men and that you could tell held that they are thinking about what they're wearing no matter where they go they could be going to the supermarket and they are thinking about what they're where I am not that person I will throw on a cranberry island sweatshirt and a pair of Shorts and just go out even when I look like crap. It's enthusiastically. Yeah I'm one hundred percent I'm all in all the time I'm so even if even if it looks like a little strange you know that it the colors or even if they don't I'm in it. It's not by an accident I I live absolutely like. Let's go gator dime. Yeah other with the other tae coldly pausing the CHICK-FIL-A and there is a girl. I guess she was around seventeen or eighteen. An Inter Pajamas. Light Blue Pajamas and I couldn't believe it flannel pajamas waiting for her chicken sandwich. Tie wish wish I was the how can you do that. How can you do that? Some people are worried about you. Know being foolish or embarrassed or awkward or looking stupid you bid and that is just not something I live with. I know that I'm gonNA often look foolish. Awkward stupid or be embarrassed and I don't care it's not they don't care I don't WanNa let looking stupid stopped me from living my life your life. I've been tap dancing now for five years. I'm terrible like I'm I'm just straight up. Awkward almost almost get into tears because I struggle with so much. If you think that stops me from putting on like sequins and getting out there and tap dancing you can I just think again. I like ways but if I can't tap dance I'm not putting on my sequence onto slept just not getting out there. Now Stop worrying worrying about what people think about you. That's none of your business. Be The author of your own destiny. Commit to something and do it wholeheartedly. If you WanNa right then do it show show up and do it. Don't delay don't put off until tomorrow. There's never a right time. That's so true there is never a right time. If you just say well you know. I'll start this at this time it. That's that's just not true. Excuses are not a life plan. Allow your dreams as much credence and importance as your fears. Oh that's a good one there. Yup that's one. I'd have to worry about their dare to have a go at it and stop waiting. Searching Admit Right now take risks successful successful. People take risks develop their resilience and have a go at it without. I guess this this is definitely English because we don't say have a go at it. Do we I don't know I do. Sometimes I hear people say that. Yeah yeah I I agree completely with all of this you know. They start using that phrase with Mary. How about but we have a go at it? Maybe not it sounds like you're not gonNa do it. You just gotTa give it your best effort really. Yeah and let's have a go at it rather than saying let's do this. You See. Yeah you're right like I might fail. Yeah Yeah remind me not to use. Yeah that was a terrible idea on my part.

I'm widowed. You're widowed okay. Now you've had quite Ed. Thank thank you so much. It's Bob and Sheri Bob and Sheri at instantly get podcast and odd cast years ago. We had a listener of the Bob and Sheri Show who owned a furniture company. And he said Bob and Sheri I want I like you so much. I want you to be so comfortable every morning in your Bob and Sheri Studio that I want you to have these chairs and they gave this is like fifteen years ago. They gave us these great chairs and I have the same chair that I sit in except the back started to go back too far and I couldn't figure it out and I want to thank todd for this morning. He came in and he adjusted the back of my chair and now is just perfect. Thank thank you todd. Now here is something. I don't WanNa thank you for last night. I was sitting outside at an outside restaurant with my wife. catty-cornered looking looking at you and you ignoring me completely completely ignored me. No this is. This is what happened Mary. We went to get a nice time. I I'm looking at the guy I just want the floor. Don't say anything. I want the audience on my side. Completely it so. I'm sitting there waiting for the pizza. You can sit outside and they bring you pizza. Mary's inside getting some some wine. I'm having a beer. I look over for in the table. catty-cornered there's like twelve th the picnic benches I go that looks just like todd except he's got an unrecognizable trucker hat that I've never I seen before. He's got big time sunglasses on and by the way it was it was getting kind of dark outside. He's got a t shirt that I did not recognize and and the woman that he's with has her back to me and I'm looking at the guy and I'm Bob Right. I don't have a hat on. I don't have any disguise on and I'm going he he can see me so that that can't be taught and then Mary comes walking along she goes. Hi Todd Go. Hi Hi hi Bob. What was what's up with that? What was that okay? You tied in the code of safety so that he can speak him staring at you trying to do I contact addict put. It didn't look like you all right step in time on Conan evens coat of safety is not what help. Here's is the deal Bob. You're out to dinner with your wife having a cocktail. Did you really want to be bothered by anybody. The the Likud. Thank you very much. I work with you every day. I don't see you very much. I haven't seen JEN girlfriend. A longtime umbreit like to say hello. Bob Yes and we did. We came over said hello but story uncomfortable hearing at you like you're like an undercover CIA. Guy I and I'm starting to feel creepy if that's not you and I'm staring at you. It's like who is this. I didn't want to interfere with your night out because I know how important it is that you just want to be left alone to eat your pizza drink your cocktail and spend time with your wife and so I didn't want to buy why is the res- you're looking for a bottle of wine. I was alone own at the table. Now here's the thing I was wearing a t shirt that had the high school that my children have been attending for the last eight years which I have repeatedly said over and over and over the name of the school yes do you believe him. No I and I was wearing a hat. It abused begins with an S.. Right no it was a p the word school begins with an SDS. You could have credit so anyway but no. I didn't think you wanted to be disturbed hurt so and we were gonNA come by as we wrap up because we were getting ready to wrap up well. It was so awkward. 'cause I'm staring at you and it looks chosen since you're in Kony safety Is it not true that you would prefer when you're out with your wife to not be bothered and to just be impeached with you. That would close friends that with people that I work with every day but sign out. I haven't seen JEN and a why I know but we didn't want to interfere. We knew you guys were out for a night you know because then you guys have that awkward then we have that awkward weird moment where you feel like you have to invite us to sit down to talk to you guys which we really knew you didn't want to. We were headed somewhere else where they had cheaper y Now Todd I'm feeling since we're in the code of safety now you have to be very honest was part of your decision to behave this way because you don't want him to do to that restaurant what what he did to about Schmidt Exactly okay or or the or the fact that there was a tap room in wine bar there too. I don't want any I don't want any bad. You can't talk bad about. Oh Great God of safety. So don't be defensive. Also this place. 'CAUSE I go there too. It's right near the dance studio so I'll be there. You'll see me there a a lot to. You'll say hello to her. Oh my God yeah I'll pull up a chair There's a concern that the pizza will not be to your liking. And Todd doesn't want to hear that and I can tell by your face that the pizza was not to your like it was good. Okay what kind of cases did you get suspicious Queenie anything. I got the Just the traditional cheese Pizza Margherita not the Margarita the one with tomato sauce as soon as I said your pulse. This is not to your liking. I could no. I liked it. I liked it was it was it was better than all right having a very nice sign above tombstone but nowhere or near popping dough Well I mean pepys. Let's let's not get crazy Very good I was having a very nice whatever Redo. There's too many guys name mad at this whole foods food. So what do you think this is is this thing I've ever heard of this before. And I mean there are every one of these posts is getting re tweeted like hundreds of times You know because I've missed dating a Mat- I've only worked with mats and I have worked with now that we're having this conversation so many matt serve you. Yeah so you're looking in restaurants ONS. TV What you've never dated one. That's that's what these women dated Matt. "bob" Discussed on Bob and Sheri

"For a redo with a better outcome. But life is about to give you Bob Lacey. A chance for a redo with a better outcome. Not not in all aspects. I'm going back to Roger Williams College all last night, a longtime ago, we had a listener who had birds and she named him Bob and Sheri, and the Sherry bird, literally packed the Bob bird to death. And that was a sad outcome for Bob and his feelings were hurt. He was very crushed by that. I was always surprised that Bob didn't peck himself to death being so, so close in the case he didn't have the opportunity to Sherry Burgess was such a bully and just packed Bob to death. So Ashley joins us right now. And here's your second chance, Bob. Here's your moment of redemption. Ashley for you. Oh Ashley, you named a bird after me. Hi, yes, I have two parakeets, and we named them Bob. And Sheri, both of us, that's great. Thank you. We had a few different options thinking of maybe like Lucy, and Ricky or so Lewis chewy or friend of mine suggested bird Reynolds. But when I thought of Bob and Sheri, my husband Koda Hughes, like oh, that's perfect. We have to we have shared till Cody. Thank you. What color is Bob? Is he blew? Sherry is actually blue. Bob, he's mostly white. And I thought he was really kind of fancy looking out fiery. That's that was my alarm to wake up. Oh, no. No. So, so the Bob Berg is mostly white fancy. Yeah. So we thought he's really fancy looking and no thought it was it. He looked like a Bob 'cause we thought he's kind of like looking 'cause he's like fancy. You know, I was fancy. He has a different like hair or something. Keys actually, when we got him because we just got him from a pet store. And so they have listed under you know, like blue parakeets are white parakeet, and the white ones are actually listed under the fancy parakeet. Let's fine. This is great news for you. This is Bob bird, healthy, and is the Sherry bird being nice. Yes. Actually Bob is a little like I've noticed, he's very like dominate when it comes to food, and I didn't know this until after I'd already named them, but it's pretty funny like he will like nudge. Sherry out of the way to get to the food bowl. I feel for him. Spurt is experiencing my life, so he's mostly whitey's fans and he's trying to eat focus and he's trying to eat that food focus. He's tried to eat. Yeah. When I put like one of those, there's like these, these stick things are like treats their lights not it's been hunting staff mob, is really like territorial about is nuts. I love those in real life. Did you get them like a toy or little mirror to preen because don't they enjoy that. Yeah. They have a lot of toys, and they have a year, and they do spend most of their time sitting perched front of the near both of them, they're bonding to each other. It does put why sit down. I've never had a parakeet. Do they sing do they were like what, what kind of what is there? What do they make noises of any kind yet they do chirp? I've only had for a little over. So they're still pretty quiet as they're getting used to their strandings. I think they'll get louder as they as they get to know my family, and they'll, they'll start talking more. They can imitate noises to like I'm trying to teach with like that. We've been working on that. How's that coming along? Not good so far. They'll, they'll get there. They'll get there. Yeah. Anything so while I think so how long assuming that? Bob doesn't get pecked to death again a long parakeets live, like how what is the average lifespan? I don't know what the average is. But this is my six my six birds that I've had and a similar to long life. Yeah. Live like up to ten or fifteen ten to fifteen years, so I was hoping for more hoping for more for Bobby though, with the Bob and Sheri birds, the more hostile the managerial environment is the more likely they are to hold stuff to stick, stick around just I. I, I have two toddlers, so it could be a little hostile for sure. We're used to periodically go over to the cage and say. I think you need a cage.
