Trump Vows to Issue Executive Orders if Coronavirus Relief Talks Collapse

"Breaking news on the economic front the White House and Democrats say talks of the economic stimulus package they have hit a wall president trump is threatening to take executive action on his own. Let's get details on that from our chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta. Americans they are in desperate economic pain right now but stimulus talks seem to be going nowhere right now what's the latest? Well, that's right. Wolf with negotiations falling apart over Corona Virus Relief Bill White House officials say president trump is now expected to take some kind of executive action to provide financial support to Americans who are struggling to find work during this pandemic the executive orders are likely to include some kind of effort to provide enhanced unemployment benefits as well as some kind of. Action on suspending evictions from rental homes. There may be some other proposals in the mix, and in the meantime, we should point out the president just hinted at the path ahead in the last hour tweeting, we're going a different way that tweet coming from the president in just the last hour, and in the meantime administration officials are throwing cold water on the president's gold having corona virus vaccine ready by election day one senior administration official told me earlier today that timeline is highly unlikely. President trump's claim that a corona virus vaccine could be ready by election day is receiving an injection of reality as top administration health officials are saying, don't bet on it. Then November third. Oh I. Think I think in some cases. Yes. Possible before. But right around that time, a senior administration official told CNN that timeline is just not realistic saying it's quote metaphysically possible but highly unlikely and Corona Virus Taskforce Dr Anthony Fauci said. May Have to wait until November or December just to find out of a vaccine really works adding maybe we'll get an answer as early as October but I doubt it trying to put a finer prediction on the timetable right now I don't think any of us have enough information yet to know how that's going to shake out. The pandemic Bennett economy recovered somewhat in July with the unemployment rate falling to just above ten percent with one point eight million jobs added even with so many Americans still out of work congressional Democrats and White House officials have been at odds all week over Corona Virus Relief Bill with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, pointing the finger at top aides to the president. Now, that's been in the White House when the president's land that table and walked out that's really what Mr. Meadows. Did I on the table can't shoot staff Mark Meadows Jabbing right back I think for those that are suffering they. They should be asking the Democrats in the House and the Senate why why have you failed to meet the needs that we have so rightly expressed without a deal the White House is signaling Mr Trump will take executive action that legal drafting is complete. We've had this intense discussions about this. In the last several days, I don't WanNa make predictions. Democrats are also keeping an eye on election day accusing the administration of making changes to the nation's postal system that could slow down mayland balloting in a letter, the Postal Service Inspector General, a group of Democratic senators wrote the changes appear to pose a potential threat to mail in ballots and the twenty twenty general election President Likes Mail in voting in Florida but not another states like Nevada Florida's got a great Republican governor and it had a great Republican. Got Run to scientists Rick Scott, the president is seizing on comments made by Joe Biden, you seem to say African Americans are less diverse and their political views Latino voters unlike the African American community notable exceptions. The Latino community is incredibly diverse community. With, incredibly different attitudes about different things Biden try to clean that up tweeting in no way. Did I mean to suggest the African American community is a monolith not by identity not on issues not at all Mr Trump, tweeted biden is no longer worthy of the black vote I don't know what's going on with them, but it was very insulting. The president's attack on Biden are tricky for Mr Trump, who has a long track record of racially offensive behavior including sharing this video, featuring a supporter shouting white power. Now the US intelligence community issued a startling statement on election security today as the US closing in on the fall campaign. In that statement intelligence officials warn Russia is trying to damage from where Vice President Joe Biden. His chances to win the white. House the statement also from the intelligence community says, she prefers that president trump fail in his bid for a second term. These warnings from intelligence officials come at a critical time for American voters who were largely unaware that. The Russians were interfering with the election for years ago this time the voters know all too. Well, what could

Nation's unemployment rate falls to 10.2% as economy adds 1.8 million jobs in July

"Bloomberg business News. Joining us now is Andrew O'Day could have good Friday afternoon. A good Friday in the stocks are falling short or rallying, even after better than forecast ratings of July employment and unemployment now losing 72 NASDAQ falling 100 for S and P 500 down seven and some traders bet some of the heat will be taken off negotiations toward a covert financial stimulus deal in Washington. After the Labor Department reported more than one and 3/4 1,000,000 jobs added to the economy last month and the unemployment rate sliding back to 10.2% suggesting pandemic recovery might be going in a better place than assumed.

Austin political group says City of Dallas forced them to cancel convention

"Group in Austin says the city of Dallas is showing bias by forcing them to cancel the convention this weekend. Carol. These Allen's Kaya has the story and Americans for Liberty is based in Austin. They were planning a training convention for 1400 students and hundreds more investors and politicians. President Cliff Maloney's has Austin forced him to cancel. So they made plans to move to the Omni Dallas We took a bet, and we lost that that that that was that the leadership in Dallas would be competent. It would be rational. He says They got a call this week after the group had already started moving supplies and equipment that the hotel would not allow the convention. It's hard to not see this as a biased decision when the city is allowing protesters and then we slowly straight days of protest in the city of Dallas is the company managing the army made the decision, but large indoor gatherings have had to be cancelled to comply with the governor's order. Company managing the hotel says it gave a refund and offered to reschedule. Maloney says it's too close to the election.

Imagine it Forward and Goodr

"To another episode of Zero, to IPO were absolutely thrilled to have to amazing guests on the show today I wanna I introduce Beth comstock who for many years in fact, almost three decades was at GE and served as the vice chairperson. There is on the board of Nike is also the author of this amazing book called imagine it forward, which I am really enjoying and learning a lot from and have a bunch of questions to ask Beth about the. Beth welcome on the show. Thanks Josh. Great to see you great to be here. And our other guests is Jasmine crow who is the CEO and founder of Gooder, which is a company that I am fascinated by I. think it's one of the more insightful companies that I've come across. Recently I also have a lot of questions for you Jasmin about how the idea came to you, but but welcome on the show. Thanks so much gas and happy to be here. Of course, we've got Freddie caressed my co host. Zeroed IPO your morning Josh, how you doing good I bet and Jasmine, nice to see you. Thanks for joining us today I'm super excited about today. Yeah me too good to see you. Well, let's dive right in because we have a lot to talk about Jasmine I wanNA start with you and I want to understand I want our audience to understand where you're coming from. When you started gooder there's some kind of basic facts that I want our audience to understand domestically we are wasting seventy-two billion pounds of food every year while forty two million people are struggling with food insecurity absolutely that's a foundational mess. And it's even worse. Now, I'll of everything that's happening with current virus who are wasting more food and more people are going hungry. So it is a huge issue. Yeah. I mean just to be clear before this even. I read somewhere that we were wasting about a quarter trillion dollars a year on food in the United States if people number eight is that right? Yeah. Right Frederick in. So I guess to put an even more simpler context about two percent of GDP is on wasted food for that's a lot of money spent on food that never gets eaten in this country does Like many people I have some passing familiarity with this I. Read about it I don't even know where to start and it seems like maybe you go out and you you know you try to donate food as best you can and and I think that's maybe where you started. Yeah and it transformed into something quite extraordinary. So yeah if you know Josh I started feeding people that were experiencing hunger and homelessness in two thousand thirteen out of my apartment in Atlanta Georgia So that's where got started I found a parking. Lot I drove past it one day and I just saw hundreds of people that were homeless in in something kind of just pulled on my heartstrings at that moment and I said I wanNA help you know what do I didn't have a ton of money and I knew I could cook and so I just went home I post it on facebook I mean Sunday. I'm going to go downtown and I'm going to feed on the streets. If. You want to join me I had about twenty volunteers I made a spaghetti dinner. And loved it. You know brought out my little beats pill at the time, which wasn't that loud outside. Dating us, you're dating we know exactly when you're store your. Heckling when it happened so I really wasn't that loud music thing. But I have bad and you know the idea was it would be old school kind of Sunday music why Jackson five and Aretha Franklin James Brown like this classic kind of music and a good Sunday dinner, and that's how it all got started in. So of eighty own from one of my pop up restaurants went viral on facebook and people are saying this is so amazing which restaurants donate the food and the reality was nobody I was couponing on price matching I always say, I'm the reason Walmart doesn't price-match anymore I definitely feel like i. gave them a run for him. And then I was cooking thing taking it downtown, serving it coming home cleaning up, and so it would take me like forty hours every week I did this and I started researching food ways and was really like upset like I can't believe this much food goes to waste in here I. Am you know putting together five dollar donations and my own money and trying to make these feeding is happening to feed five hundred people

A Song For Peace

"This is the story of a song that is in a way the story of this country in the spring of Nineteen, sixty-nine at a sidewalk cafe on Richmond Street tucked in from the corner of Dizengoff. Street in Tel Aviv a twenty four year old poet named Yakov or Janka wrote Blit met a twenty five year old musician and arranger named yet year Rosenbloom and the two men became friends the cafe was called California and the. Place, itself said something about the people who made a habit of spending their days especially, their long nights there. The first thing to know about Cafe California is what it wasn't just one hundred and twenty five meters up Dizengoff was a legendary Bohemian cafe called carseat. It had been in operation since nineteen, thirty five, and since then it was the place where you can find some of Jewish palestines and then Israel's greatest poets and writers. On Alterman and Lebron's Sean Ski. Lay. Goldberg. Alexander Penn great writers who had been young and who grew old drinking coffee in the afternoon and vodka in Iraq at night at the simple spare tables of cassette alongside these luminaries in the nineteen sixties. New Generation staked claims at the table, the actor or. The singer Oregon Stein the architect Yaakov wreck there and many others cafe California was not seat from its vantage half of long block away even the young people at seat where old carseat was yesterday's Bohemia California was today's Cafe California was founded in one, thousand, nine, hundred, thousand, nine by a man named Ab Netanyahu who was only thirty two. Then that had lived a good deal of life. Netanyahu was born in nineteen twenty seven in the southwest corner of what is now Iran in a place called Abedin on the Persian Gulf just. Across the border from Bosra not far from Kuwait at six he was sent to board at Saint. Mary's a Jesuit School in Mumbai where you had an aunt, his parents abandoned. Persia. For India when he was twelve at sixteen and Nineteen, forty three, he lied about his age and joined the Royal Indo British Air Force in time after he trained to watch the Second World War wind down at twenty one he came to fight in Israel's war of independence and never left taking a job as an El Al pilot when he was decommissioned. It was with a few restless L. Buddies that Netanyahu opened cafe. California soon, it was filled with the city's young wannabe writers, directors and poets the people most eager to knock from their sinecures the city's old writers, directors, and poets who argued and held forth at carseat. Ab Thanh was a magnet for Bohemians and he came alive when he was with Bohemians, their company produced in him at once a sense of satisfaction. He had found his people but also a sense of restlessness eighty, nine ton was in constant search of his next Gig in nineteen sixty five he ran for Knesset advice of a friend who worked in PR he pledged that if he was elected, he would fly to Egypt to meet with General Nasser to seek peace after he failed to win a seat in parliament, he anyway bought a nineteen twenty seven steer. Primary results: Kris Kobach loses Kansas Senate primary

"Primary season and in yesterday's contests, Progressive Democrats scored two high profile victories. While a conservative aligned with President Trump lost to a more mainstream Republican in Kansas. NPR's Susan Davis is here to sort through results and tell us what this might signal about November. Let's start with the Republican contest where former Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach lost the GOP Senate primary to Congressman Roger Marshall today you wrote that this is a win for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. How so? Well. Marshall was McConnell's preferred candidate. The Senate Leadership Fund, which is an outside Superpac align with the leader spent over $2 million to help Marshall win. McConnell, like many Republicans believed that if Kobach had won, he would've tanked the party's chances of holding to the on to that seat in November and very likely could have taken the majority down with it. A word of caution here, though, Marshal is still not a sure bet. There's still interesting things happening in Kansas, and that race looks like it could still be competitive. And I've talked to GOP strategist who say it's gonna You know they're going to keep investing in Kansas to keep it in their column, but ultimately this is a seat that will be harder for Democrats to win and the battle for the Senate carries on.

US to Pay Over $1 Billion for 100 Million Doses of J&J's Potential COVID-19 Vaccine

"It's good to be in the cove ID vaccine business, apparently Moderna, the pharmaceutical company rushing to develop a vaccination against covert 19 already taking pre orders and doses. Johnson and Johnson also working feverishly on a vaccine just sold 100 million doses of something that hasn't been developed as yet to the U. S government for well over $1 billion. Dr. J. Bhattacharya directs the program on medical outcomes at the center on the On Demographic on Demographic Economics of Health and Aging at Stanford Medical School. One of the things I've learned doctors, you guys gotta get shorter titles. That's one of things I've learned in the past few months, so it does seem odd for a lot of people. Ah, maybe it isn't. But it does seem odd that a product that hasn't yet really been proven to do anything. Ah, value that is, is being sold, apparently at great value to some of these companies. Is that odd or my just thinking the wrong way? No, it's in something unprecedented. And it is part of Ah policy actually, such as the United States government many, many governments around the world that made That they made a bet. They've said that if the vaccine does turn out to be effective, we wanted to be immediately available. At scale to everyone who you know, sort of everyone who was at risk from cover, which is basically everybody, so in order to avoid the delays, that would happen if you wait To see the doctor is going to work then then you ramp up manufactory months of delay. The decision's made again by the U. S government, but also by the government to basically make that investment now, even before we know what the facts, whether it actually gonna work or or or or or, you know, have detailed information about it. What's that? If it does work, we're ready to go. It doesn't work. We'll have lost that. We've lost a lot of money. I guess the wager is it's waiting would end up costing more than just trying to produce all this right now. So if you do hit on something, you have it ready. The prices you see, the money is being spent taxpayer dollars modern cases, is it The right cost. I mean, of course, that you hindsight will know for sure if the vaccine turns out to work out on actually application safe and then yes, it will avoid a lot of really uncomfortable discussions about who should get the vaccine first, you know, inequality, vaccine distribution. All those issues would be ramped up to 11 if you if you did, if we have different waited and the vaccine works, and then we have a massive fight in a sense now, But in the sense we're making. We're paying the taxpayer dollars real. It's real money. In order to say, Let's avoid that fight down the line if it works. In retrospect, it comes out It doesn't work. Then we'll look back and say, Gosh, Was it a good investment? It's an unprecedented unprecedented policy. But it's one that I think many countries around the world making just just because of the scale of the epidemic and the potential benefit from the From about scene if it does

So I'm ecstatic. Bikini on the out by the pool. I actually I saw it out in the leg as long as your Ad Dragon Gauge and the kids are out like on a lake and right? Yeah. You're having fun growing. Dragon. Just shoot now like when you're over fifty, you get you reap the enjoyment out of videoing everyone and. Consoling them after they've been launched across. The, Lake Yeah, it was very entertaining. I'll be uploading many of those. Like, they're having a great time out there. visit. Great. It was a great bet. You guys can see it on his instagram you're dragging your you got the boat. You're the kids are out on the rouse being dragged by the boat. They fly off. You pass the sack. You see the slasher out your. Their lives. I can. Carry? Them would have died I couldn't have posted it. Had this scroll through all my other videos to find out a comparable to find out that they were doing good something. We've got some cool ally interesting news about The McLaren announced that well, the Gordon Murray announcement that we wanted to get into. So we sort of got this job. So we can I hit that before we get started. Just, another word from our friends at Dodd's it's A. IT'S A it's time for dodge power dollars and that means for every horse power. You get ten dollars off your purchase on dodge challenger Dodge Charger and Dodge Durango come in and save dodge power dollars for pretty sweet deal. So as we As we are sitting down to record this. There's some news that's out there, and of course, the most interesting stuff that we're finding is Gordon Murray finally took the wraps off his. Off his new SUPERCAR, his t fifty supercar, Gern, Gordon Murray very famously designed a series of f one cars had a relationship with the Clarendon did the McLaren won Three Seater Central Driving Position Car I love that car bill I know you love that car it's sort of a wishlist amongst us all. I'm sure everyone who had an opportunity to get one at one point kicking themselves now because they keep going up thirteen, million, eight, hundred, million in life be knocked twenty million dollars going nuts So there was a great video presentation that came out. With Dario Franceschini taking a touring ordinary designs during Gordon, Murray on a moto and they took the wraps off this car and It's it's. It's pretty it's pretty cool. Gordon Murray's thing has always bands. About lightweight and from this car from. The initial design in his head all the way up to what it is. Now he said a goal of no more than one thousand kilos in weight and he hit nine eighty I believe puts it somewhere around twenty one, hundred, seventy, maybe twenty one, hundred, seventy, four pounds. This is extremely lightweight way in in. Today's world. Under twenty two hundred pounds. Of. A modern day car it. The Way to do that. And explain it when you go and you watch the videos, you read the press about it. Is. You have to design this thing from the ground up. With weight savings in mind every single step of the way, the the CAR IS MONACO CARBON FIBRE the entire bodies carbon fibre everything. That could be carbon. Fibre is carbon fiber of. The the engine he went to Cosworth and said, it needs to be naturally aspirated. It needs to be the twelve. It needs to be lightweight. needs to sound fantastic and it needs to be naturally aspirated. Of course, right? So. What they came up with was three point nine Liter v twelve. Six hundred and fifty, four horsepower. Three hundred and forty four pound feet of torque again small. You Know Small Displacement High Ramming twelve thousand one hundred RPM match. Enjoyment. You know I've A. Peak power is at eleven thousand, five, hundred dollars God, and the power to the Torah curved the I think the peak torque is around nine thousand. RPM. So between nine thousand and not red line of eleven five that thing just must sound insane and. Just skewed. Now, he didn't release any performance specs yet because Gordon Murray's thing is like I tell you zero to sixty whatever. But everyone's GonNa go after that intestine. beat it. California couple forced to cancel wedding amid pandemic has registry paid for by Domino's Pizza

"It was paid for Bye. Domino's pizza. What's this story all about this kind of story. Domino's pizza on Dure registry. Ah, no, I need some more here need a little bit more more action on the North Ridge Couple forced to cancel their wedding due to the pandemic gets an unexpected gift from Domino's pizza. Both lost their jobs during the covert shutdown and experienced multiple deaths among family and friends. And that's when dominoes stepped in. Eyewitness news reporter Mark Quota Roadless has the story. Soon to be C. J and Danica Laci. Like many engaged couples had big plans in 2020 in January. February, we books basically, All of our vendors are on top of it. We've got everything we're set that save that for the wedding night, But all of our vendors were on top of it. We've got everything we're set. That was long before covert. 19 up ended everything. We will lost our jobs. So you know it was that what if a guy I'm sure this has happened? Where their weddings being planned. I got the flowers I got the the invites are out there everything set and then the pandemic hits, and I bet you anything the guy sits her down and goes. You know what I just think this sign. I just don't. I don't know, I think you know. I think we're lucky that this pandemic hit and maybe we should see. You know, we can't see each other. I during this pandemic? No, it's just not working out, Sam and I'm sure a guy a CZ used the pandemic to get out. I'm positive that happen certainly less of someone. Oh, yeah, absolutely horrible, sinking feeling of Oh, gosh. Is it going to be ableto happen Because of the pandemic? CJ and Danny have postponed their big day. Who is the girl C J or Danny? Could be Danny, right? CJ? I think because of the pandemic, CJ and Danny have postponed their big day. While it's a big disappointment. They recently received an even bigger surprise. Danny saw a sponsored Facebook ad that Domino's pizza was offering pizza theme to registries for couples who had postponed their ceremonies. Great 40 bucks a piece, though. That's pretty nice. You know, we're so CJ is the guy Danny saw? No, Danny is the guy, okay? He's very great. 40 bucks something, so that's pretty nice way like pizza doesn't like pizza. And so that was like, score free pizza. Wait a minute. What was I e mean? That's this whole story is over two pizzas. Yeah, $40 where the pizza is Maybe three. For although dominance could be 12 very great 40 bucks and things. So that's pretty nice way like pizza doesn't like pizza. And so that was like, score free pizza laughing it off. Not thinking much of it. It was weeks later when Danny got an email. Oh, I see he registered For the free pizza, and then they pick them as a couple to pay for everything. I think that's where we're going. Are you seeing what I'm seeing all of their registries for being paid for by dominos for 1000 dollarsworth and the boxes are still coming. We kind of just put stuff on it. As like. Oh, we wish we had $1000 couch on their way. Didn't expect anyone to buy us $1000 couch. Why'd you put on there Then? While 2020 has been unpredictable and stressful, you know? Can you see the registry like if somebody registers, Can you see everything on it? I think you can't write. Oh, yeah, I think so. Yeah. So somebody saw that they put $1000 couch on it. I don't like that. If I saw it. I was going to a wedding. A young couple, Their twenties like, 2122 23 they put down $1000 couch on the registry. E. I don't know. It doesn't sound right. Thiss Act of kindness has brought some light into their lives. They didn't have to do that. You know, they're a big company that could have just spent that money on marketing and they didn't ask us to talk to anybody. They didn't ask us to post on social media. They just did it. Now they're left to enjoy their gifts. And look forward to their new wedding date in October 2021. As far as we're concerned, we're like already married. We feel like we are so it's like it's just gonna be. It's all about having a party and celebrating. There you go. $1000 couch. S o. Domino's is smart. Because now you know they got all this free publicity Ryan, you know, instead of and Donald Donald Donald was really smart if Domino said, Hey, please post on your social media. People would see through that. Okay, It's a ploy to get more eyes be very careful not to make it look like that. And then if you don't make it look like that, If you know if they just want to naturally talk to the press or posted themselves, that's how you get great publicity. So somebody Domino's is really, really smart and doing that, all right? We'll take a short break for life on camera and 40 more

Who should replace Ellen?

"News is ongoing. Generous. Ongoing News that won't stop are one nemesis might be replaced by our other nemesis. On their talk show the Ellen show. Well, these are that this is them news, but I do feel like Ellen could be replaced with a WHO, if this all comes to fruition or like a WHO thinks so too person because I'm seeing a lot of people nominate various talk show e people although apparently the rumors are like James Corden is going to replace Ellen, but like he has a show so. That makes no sense to me on any. That's what blows my mind. Why he has eight hundred shows. He has just made another daily show like that doesn't make any sense to me at on. The also has carpool. Karaoke. And then he also has the cat sequel like he has plenty, oh. Yeah. Let's replace a supposedly nice person with another supposedly nice person like. Haven't. We learned anything from this thing. These people are Nice. They suck. I think always be wary of people who say their thing is being. I think the number, one person who should clearly replace Allen is Kiki Palmer. There's literally no. Better obvious. Getting a lot of a lot of traction and she showing up a lot of tweets because it's like she just had a talk show that got canceled for no reason on ABC. Well, it was like that one hour of Commerical Strahan. Michael? And Kiki Sarah? There was A. Third Sarah. Sarah. And Michael and Kiki It just give it to clean working it. Just everyone likes he. We Love Kiki. She's a great host. Who else do you think if if we're going if for skewing young? I think we to Kiki for skewing older, I think it should go to fucking the woman who should have gotten David Letterman, amy. Sedaris like give it to amy sedaris because people like her. She's silly. I don't know that, amy, the thing is I. Don't know that Amy Sarah's would want to do that I. Feel like. I don't need that. We're talking about this on the Patriot. If you WANNA. Go listen to that about how drew Barrymore also has daily, show a daytime show coming out, and I'm like who would want this job? Drew Barrymore wants this job since when like it's just to meal a a weird job that you wouldn't want that could turn you or probably. Turn you into a monster, right? Yes. but the to provide a context in case you've been under a rock people are like there. There have been the rumors for years and years and years, but specifically the past few months they've really you know the hit a critical mass and started being reported publicly like Ellen is an asshole to everyone. Ellen is an asshole. The people she works with Ellen makes people not talk to her ellen cruel. But now there are reports by like news and variety and insider that it wasn't just ellen being a to everyone and celebrities and not liking Ellen like being on Ellen show. It's that the executive producers were actually like being abusive like in sexually harassing the employees. So it's like a culture. Culture of toxicity. That is the sort of thing that I don't that Ellen is deciding up allegedly that she doesn't want to deal with anymore. So she's like this sucks like I just rather not do this anymore. Right. So but this rumor, this isn't this is in fact, this is rumor because people keep their keep going back and forth and saying some some sources say she's not leaving this show sums his sources as she's leaving the show. I. Can't imagine somebody as likely a annoyed with the whole situation who is known to be not a very nice person would want to continue to fake be nice and have to apologize and half to like kind of whatever because these rumors have been. Kind of like I for some reason I, keeping you Kevin Spacey Pre the abuse allegations like when everyone knew he was gay, but no one knew he was gay like it was weird thing where it was like if you knew, you knew if you didn't, you had no idea what be totally shocked it. Kind of feels like that type of Hollywood news where like everyone knew that Ellen was secretly mean except for Ellen fans who had no idea where living happily with ellen everyday of their life and like the show was wildly successful, right? very strange. A very strange thing. Do you think that this will happen because people are so bored in their craving, the Gospel, and then somebody just this is this is what I mean I, think it's I mean. It's a combination of a lot of things at one of is like the people finally speaking out about their employers. It's like finally like shutting down like the. The systemic issues and leg, not being corporate America and knowing that people will support them and believe them and believe them, and that like the media machine of Ellen isn't powerful enough to shut down. So many voices if enough come out and and we'll talk about it later in the episode, but it's like the it's similar to the. Vanessa. Morgan thing, it's it's shades of an ESA Morgan being like I'm going to speak up against the riverdale creators and the Riverdale producers because people are people are realizing that they can do that and they won't get like dumped on by the press or of their fans they will be seen as like heroes. But. It's also just like, I, Think Dakota Johnson had a tiny bit to do with it because Dakota Johnsons like Open crubaugh open open. Rudeness to Ellen SORTA. Gave People. I don't know permission to speak about rumors that she's an asshole more openly. They're like, it looks like that's what Dakota's referencing. So I didn't even know you liked me. Of course, I. Like you. You Knew I. Liked you. You've been on the show many times and don't I show like. But I did invite you and you didn't come. So this time you invited me, are you sure? How do you? I don't think. So ask everybody. Jonathan. Your producer. I was that, why didn't I go? I don't know that became a meme. You have people like Brad Garret and who else replied to him. Leah Tom's Tom's joins. She is mean she is. She. Yes. Now, I can't believe I just called the Thomson. So Deutsche US minor. That was obsessed the disease of this show right here. Yeah. Leah Thompson also respond to that and said Yep I mean, I just think that it's like no one was a true story note once you lose grip on the fear, you are the power you had over I mean, and it's funny because then you have scooter Braun coming out her being like Ellen is great. I. Love Allen is like so people still. Look at the people coming out and say L. Like scooters, hedging his bets at this, all go away and back to normal and Ellen will still be powerful and whatever, and then you have people speaking out i. just it's a fascinating reveal of a monolith almost kind of crumbling that you didn't think would ever. Be exposed like this. I didn't. It seems like Palmer is getting a lot of A lot of press over like a lot of tweets being could replace. Ellen is trending key Palmer got a lot. Tiffany haddish. Got A lot that woman who does the like trump impersonations? What's her name? Sarah? Cooper. She got a lot of people tweeting about her I mean, I think it's just bomber just someone who someone who actually. Got Some tweets booing reply Oh doodoo be from drag race also got A. Drag. Race. Got I. saw that. Yeah. But I think he palmer when you when you want someone who has like the resume as well like. You of don't WANNA, pick someone random like Sarah Cooper. As funny as she is on twitter, because like her her her skills as a as an interviewer, not proven whereas Kiki, Palmer is a link interviewer host. Yeah I mean I would say like the Ellen slots, big slot made we just move up the ladder. We get Kelly Clarkson in that slot. We get Drew Barrymore Kelly was and we get key. Palmer. Work. Curse, lot I know these are all people on different network. So it makes literally no sense but you. Better like we. We cannot confuse the audience. We must replace the Ellen show with someone named. Ellen. Ellen Ellen. Page's like don't look at me like another gay. Just like I will not I will. Zone POMPEO, she wouldn't do it. I. Don't I don't need Elon Pale. Ellen Page Ellen Popular, and Never Would Ellen Pompeo every interview Ellen Pao's ever done. It's been like I. Love Grey's Anatomy I. have nothing but free time like. She will never do that. Rules for Being Human

"I'm excited about the possibility that this show can offer to all of you within the sound of my voice right now because when I decided I was going to continue with television. I. Wanted to be able to use it as an instrument a vehicle to try to bring meaning to people's lives so that something we might say something you might hear might create a spark that would create something inside yourself with touch some part of yourself that would make you live better do better. Create the highest vision for your life, and this is this show is spectacular today in terms of being able to bring you to that. If you pay attend, you pull up a chair I know right now children are running around the house. That I know you know not to be thawing the chicken out who did you on it in the microwave? Hit. Pause, on that right now. Call your friends tell them if they can't watch right you should really take this because this is really important important for you and even more important if you could share this with your children because if there's one thing you should know if you want to have a better more meaningful, fulfill deeper richer existence, it is this that the world and everything in this world that this physical reality that we are experiencing right now operates under certain laws y'all know that. And it supersedes everything. It is real and as consistent as the scientific law of gravity or the physical law of cause and effect, and once you begin to understand how the world operate and how fair and just it really is no matter where you are in your life right now, you then can begin to learn to be a more powerful person. So this little book if life is a game these. Are The rules explains ten rules of universal wisdom if you understand and follow them every day every moment, which is hard to be in there. Every moment I'm telling you and we all struggling you'll have a better life and better relationships in your life because you come to know yourself better doctor. Cherie Carter. Scott, is the author of if life is a game these are the rules coming up in. Telling you. Thank you. Read that is great to get a standing ovation. Yeah. Open your mouth yet. How did you come up with these rules? It was in nineteen, seventy, four and somebody turned to me. I was creating a course to teach people how to coach other people and he said, you know it would be so nice if we just had a handbook for living, why don't we have some kind of rules for being human and I said that's it we need. The rules for being human and turned to me and they said, well, what are they and I said, well, you start with the body and they said Okay and then we're and all of a sudden it was as if spirit inside me was speaking and they came through under the paper and there they were plain and simple and I looked at them and I said. I don't know if I'm brilliant enough to create those I listen and I, allowed it to come through there they are. Okay. Rule number one is you will receive a body. So. Who in this room received the perfect body and you know it was just the right one for. You. No. Problem because if we did get that body and we said you know, thank you that's the one I ordered and it's exactly got it would be a different rural but I bet if you look around this room, you see somebody else that's the body I should have gotten. No, that's the one I should've gotten and you would trade you do an exchange but somehow that's not the way it is we are given a body and it's the one that we are meant to make peace with. The rule is you you going to receive a body? Yes. Otherwise we wouldn't be here. Exact. That's how we moving around in the body. Yes, and you may love it or hate it but it is yours for the duration of your life on absolutely. Okay. It's only when you got but yet the reason why so many people have their greatest pain and struggle in that body. Absolutely. Okay. Dinky says she's a perfect example of this rule and what dinky definitely. So much of our society looks at people by their body type and. How they come across in their body, I suffer from gaining weight losing weight gaining weight losing weight. You know just like why do people do? I know I have every reason in the world to be happy. And I have this void within myself and I don't know how to fill that void. I don't know how to to get to the core. Okay and you want to do something with me a little exercise fast close your eyes for second take a deep breath. And ask your body what it wants to say to you that you're not listening to. Deep Breath. Just, have it speak to you and say whatever the words are that you hear. Expecting respect me what else? I'm here for I'm here for you. What else? I do a lot for I do a lot for you and what else? Take Care of take care of me, open your eyes do you hear it? It's speaking to you.

Former 'Ellen' Producer Says DeGeneres Was Aware of Abuses

"Former Ellen Show employees, they report sexual harassment and misconduct by top executive producers. And it runs rampant behind the scenes. That's the word on it all starts at the top. It does. I guess it does go. Apparently, ex employees say one executive producer had a reputation of being hands E with the women and then another solicited aural sects at a work party. Never do that at a work party. No, no, and I'm sure it was well received. Sure, yeah, Always a good move. So what? So now the Twitterverse, everybody you're trying to side who's going to be Ellen's replacement. She's not coming back. Well, will the requirement. Be that that it's Ah gay person? I bet I, It has to be otherwise it would look horrible. I'm sure that's going to be the number one priority, and hopefully they have talent. Beyond that. You may be right. I would kind of lead towards funny and entertaining. Well, that it's not that easy anymore, Todd. I guess it is you got you got more, but it's hard to be funny these days. Hopefully, yeah, yeah, ISS it is It's It's hard. It's hard to To know when it's okay to be funny when it's not okay to funny when it's be OK. They said. OK to laugh. Is it not okay? I don't know. Why Investors Keep Losing Money Betting Against The Hong Kong Dollar Peg

"So Tracy. You're in Hong. Kong. Obviously. We've been talking about some recent episodes about some of the reemergence of the virus there, but also virus. Aside, this is just a sort of a big moment in time for. Hong. Kong, for reason. Yeah. There's no shortage of new slow here in Hong Kong aside from the virus we've had. A year of unrest in the form of the the big protests against extradition law, and now most recently in the past month, we've had the imposition of a new national security law which gives China sweeping powers I. Guess You'd say over Hong Kong. Right now, I remember thinking like a year ago. Pregnancy is a year ago by now, the sort of like the protests have really gathered steep. It was like last summer when we really saw the reacceleration of protest and you and I would be on meetings a pretty regularly, and you'd have to talk to us about how you were getting into work and so forth. Things like that Yep? That's right. So you must be pretty exhausted. I mean, look, there's a lot going on in the world But yeah, definitely a lot going on in Hong Kong, and like the mood is Moon's pretty morose at the moment I gotta say, and then beyond that, of course, we have the economic situation, which is that Hong, Kong. Just can't catch a break. So we already saw the Hong Kong economy affected by the protests, lots of mainland tourists and shoppers stopped coming into the city. And then of course, we had the virus cases beginning to really build up earlier in the year. Now, we have the third wave. So that continues to hit the economy, and now we also have the national security law, and again the question, there is slightly different to viruses and protests, which you know sort of hit the retail sector. The hardest question about the national security law is whether or not. It's going to impact the international character of Hong Kong as a financial centre in international financial. Center.

AstraZeneca Rivals Moderna in Race to Successful SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine with ChAdOx1 nCov-19!

"So I'm glad to be back and I have a pretty exciting show for everyone today the main. Main Serb we're going to talk about is the latest publication by AstraZeneca in the Journal. The. Lancet of their source to vaccine, and we're going to take a look at the data, look safety and contrast that to what I talked about with regards to earn his maxine last week. So definitely check out that show first and then watch this if you're interested by. That's going to be the main story, and then we're also gonNA touch on a few other biotech companies that invested in that updated their earnings, the last little wild for Q. Two. So that's going to do for the show. And really that's not much going on in the biotech space unfortunately lately, we seem quite a sell off in the X., p. I and I think that's largely due to the executive orders announced by the trump administration when I looked at them though it didn't seem to affect the company's I'm invested in which are mostly small and mid cap. Biotech. These executive orders had more of an impact on drugs that actually price right now in the market and the one in particular, that's concerning for large-cap Pharma is the one that forces companies to maintain pricing through the US and ex us. A lot of companies are able to charge a premium in the US compared to ex us, and now there's going to have to be normalized in what that means is that often these left lower their price for Americans which they didn't need to do before this so. That's kind of what's going on in biotech space excitement in the market otherwise has to do more with the tech companies that just destroyed their earnings on Friday. So we saw a huge increases in facebook, apple Amazon Google. So the sciences to be flowing more towards those companies than the XP. Even though the FBI did recently hit all-time highs. Personally I managed to get on a road trip in the last week or so and I checked out SEDONA Arizona for those who've not been there. It's definitely worth checking out if you live in the US, it's it's pretty gorgeous place except for the heat, the heat is pretty insane and somebody lives in San Diego, it's shocking to see the numbers go up to one hundred and fourteen degrees, Fahrenheit, but it was nice to get away for a bit and one other piece of business I. GotTa Get through is to give a shoutout to a friend of mine named Dave Coggin. And the reason for this that we had a friendly bet over a ping pong tournament yesterday that I would give him a shout-out if I lost all the games against him and he ended up beating me in every one of them. So with that, let's actually get into the meat of the show. And again, thanks everybody. All support all the emails in tweets in the comments on my channel are very, very much appreciated. It does go far with in terms of spreading the word and getting the podcast out there. So thank you for that. Now, the first company I WANNA talk about is trillium therapeutics, and they're sitting around fifty, five, hundred and fifty, million dollar market CAP, and we're talking about them today because they had a press release announcing a delay in data and people were expecting a clinical update on their six to one and sixty two product in the middle of twenty twenty, and that's around this time now, and instead what we're hearing is that they're going to. To this update at the American Society for Hematology Meeting in December of twenty twenty. So it's about a six month delay, not the end of the world, but there was really no relevant update provided in this press release. They mentioned that can relax refractory C. T. cell patients have been enrolled in the first four cohorts, and they were treated with the sixty. One monotherapy at does doses up to one point, four milligrams per kilogram. They also mentioned that they completed dose limiting top evaluation of cohort four, which is that one point, four milligrams per kilogram does and they're now moving onto the two point zero milligram per kilogram dose. So not really much to report the stock sold off from the sevens to around the fives and then was bought back into the sixes. So I think my average position is around the fives end. I decided not take an additional position into it because I am pretty heavy in the stock. And yet, it's unfortunate delay, but I don't think the fundamentals of the company at all are in jeopardy and some other things to know if you WANNA take a position in sort of CD, forty, seven molecule, which is what Chile him is commercializing They did announce a solid tumor study, which is going to be starting pretty soon, and we're GONNA see data in that in twenty twenty one. So if they see good data in solid tumors I think the stock could Garner maybe a five x valuation from where it is. Now, let's kind where I see trillium eventually, and I plan on holding well into twenty. Twenty one.

Joe Biden's Potential Running Mate: Who Is Karen Bass?

"Campaign Campaign 2020. 2020. We We don't don't have have long long to to wait wait for for Joe Joe Biden Biden to to announce announce his his running running mate. mate. It's It's expected expected to to happen happen next next week. week. As As the the list list is is narrowed. narrowed. California California Democratic Democratic Congresswoman Karen Bass is considered a key contender. She's 66 chairs the Congressional Black Caucus. We talk about Bass with Washington Post political analyst and data columnist David Beiler, who has continued his Siri's looking at various potential Biden. Runningmate. Karen Bass would be governing choice rather than election choice. You know, she's a representative from California, California is not exactly a swing state so she doesn't have exactly those advantages. But her advantages would really come into play. Actually, when buying is in office so fast is widely known as someone who is a compromiser who sort of an incrementalist, not someone who is necessarily a purist, which really sets with Biden's governing style. He talks a lot about wanting to negotiate and compromise with the Republicans as much as possible. She is the head of the Congressional Black Caucus. On DSO. Dominating paths would be a real nod to multiple different groups that have been important to the buying campaign. There's black women who are the most Democratic demographic group in the country. There are black congressional leaders like Jim Clyburn, who helped revive Biden's campaign when it was really on the ropes in late February of this year. Andi. She's someone who I think you've seen in recent interviews has some instincts that are a little bit Biden esque When asked about the defund the police slogan she sort of did to step that. I think you reminded me. A fine one was to say, I don't like defund the police as a slogan, which is smart because that collection of words does not pull well. At the same time, we're sort of able to say they're these elements of the plans that I support. And those are elements of the plans that her constituents like so she kind of has a lot of stylistic things and a lot of talents and abilities that I think makes her sort of governing pick if you well, you alluded to this about the fact that she's from California, and you're not gonna get a Republican victory in California at least on this level. Is that the one downside to abiding bass ticket or are there others? I think the other downside is that the vetting Been relatively minimal compared to some of the other candidates. Now, Obviously, the buying campaign is doing their own betting with every candidate right now, and you know, putting him through the paces and seeing if there's something going on That they wouldn't want on their ticket. But Bass within the last couple months has come under fire for remarks where she called Fidel Castro commandant and Hef and sort of had a tone that lot of other people. Democrats from Florida in particular did not appreciate so the question with passes. Is there more baggage? When you look at someone like Kamala Harris or Elizabeth Warren? They've already been through the wringer and a presidential primary. Susan Rice has already gone through a Senate confirmation hearing. So the question with bass is also just Is there anything that you don't know that might be harmful, and the answer might be know that by knows everything and that there's nothing else there. But You know, there's some amount of risk in a pick that hasn't been in the public eye so much. David Beiler, political analysts and data columnist for The Washington Post, joining us on Skype.

"Living at home and then all of a sudden we're asked to stay in hotel somewhere you know you you know it's got the sane and and I will say this. He doesn't have John Hancock chasing them down the stretch either. He doesn't have guys coming in from the farm in our already right. He's got guys like Michael. Yates routh Knicks. One over auto hiring del and Aaron. Del does very well. They're very good. They prep those horses in extensive fashion at the farm. They get them righty they. Bring them up and give them the two works to give the gauge boom. They go so he's actually facing stiffer competition and he has to do more sources down in Florida. Then he really wants to where he could train with more comfortable here at King and be able to do what he needed to do. So it's a combination of thing. I don't think anything's changed other than the competition. The training the training the trainers colony and three. Just not being at home turf way to leg-up he doesn't have keeneland know the leg up. He did have a couple of goes down here. He's got a few here. That been training up to five eighths which could be ready. Which is a big difference. He's been at Gulfstream Park West. Going three eight out of the gate which I don't even put any substance in any of those times from jet Gulfstream Park West. But he he. I don't think he can do what he wants to do. Because of the no lay six and the inability of being at home and facing tougher trainers speeding a tough trainers The only other one individually mentioned among the two year olds but Steve Asmussen The last five years in the May June portion of the churchill racing. He has more than twice the number of two year old maiden special weight. Starters is any other trainer and incredible with all those numbers actually a positive our Y So not even over Beth given his name recognition. And how well he does. Where two year olds Any patterns handicappers can look out for and in Steve bringing a two year old runner to the maiden special weight ranks in terms of where the better ones might train or when he likes to work etc. Well first of all these statistics you have for the Churchill. Spring-summer me at least a spring part you can just tear up and throw in the trash because this is a year. This is your ear your twilight zone strikes. You know outpointed this podcast that yeah and blunt you just gotTa take that and throw it out now. Does he have a lot of two year at at Keeneland? Yeah he's got a couple of that have been training really well. Black Cop Brad Cox. Few over there that he's starting to set down really. So they're going five eighths. They're going they're going. They're five as what they need to do but I would be weary. I'd be Leery of ood finding SIS coming in with one worker to over Keelan and then running because I can guarantee you. Debt Steve. Asmussen has had a lot of his two year olds training down in And El Primero down at their private facility. I don't know if they would be shut down but they. I think it's Romero right. Yes Keith Mrs Place I would be. I would not be surprised if he's had a lot of them going down their training. And you don't see anything as far as time goes as a private facility. Come up get that get work that they need that pop out of the gate that easy half mile and boom and run so I would be looking at horses that make you go. Where's this source? Been kind of a little bit more because day might be coming in from somewhere fit and ready now. Lonestar. I don't believe Lone Star Ben Open. I don't believe Sam Houston's been opened. That's another one of his favorite to get US ready. I know Auckland hasn't had two year olds out there. I don't believe if they have. I got to look at the TAB and find out Fairgrounds may have had a couple but it would be very interesting to see where they up from and you kind of have to make it up as you go along in reality. Yeah that's I. Guess THE FLIP. A double edged sword. I A lot of conviction especially early intimate but on the other hand that type of uncertainty in the market might might create some better prices along the way including on him. I mean I guess I'm taking the idea that horseman who have proven themselves and different situations throughout their career. Might have an edge here. And certainly Steve with his father far-flung operation and seems to have a handle for for handling different variables whereas I don't know maybe other guys who were stuck here all winner might be more of a challenge to to have certain horses ready depending on the condition and also we've had weather here in Kentucky. I mean will. We have rain for like three days during the week. That kind of you know can wreck havoc The one thing I'll say is the biggest change in the mall and the biggest game. Changer is the no lasix? 'cause I think some guys after to really be careful how they train horses because if you get a two year old and you do too much too soon and they bleed on you now you gotta start all over and you gotta give him time and and and that can be that can be a real a real issue for some horsemen. You would probably see a lot. More horsemen scope and horses Lot more horsemen not bushy horses to do some of the things they need to do until the radio watching horse the other day. There was a Darren Miller that that worked really well. And I'm tr- Honorable Bow I think is his name and the one thing about it is first half mile. He went really fast on forty nine in his first half mile and then right away the next work Darren slow them down the fifty one. If I'm not mistaken and you really have to do that. And because the no lasix I think a lot of guys who worked fast usually will. WanNa wait an extra week. Give us a work and income in to erase a really changes. How you approach work in horses before you can put them all six and you can work them and s okay. Now you can't At least that's what I understand. I don't know if they can put them on Lasix for work and take them off licence when they run. I'm not sure if you can do that And be able to do those things so I it's a lot and I can tell you that none of the I don't care how good anybody is. None of them have had to deal with what we've had to deal so far. Sure this is definitely unchartered waters really for everyone concerned Before you say something else I need to do this. Forget I wanted to find out. How's your kids? I was Ej out everything going with them with all the all. The problems on the scares that we've had about Govan nineteen. Yeah now they've We've obviously kept pretty close to the vest here. We live in a pretty rural where out by skylight training center. So definitely don't need to get the kids out at all really in public and knock on wood Help healthy at home here. So we J. Haven't had any issues with him I actually for for better words because it makes us feel bad that we probably have to to limit how much he does even when things opened up a little bit But he's probably actually the healthiest. He's been in a while because he hasn't had any. You know all those germs that kids bring to school etc so thankfully jailing for for him which you know he's definitely in the vulnerable category with his pulmonary issues. So I appreciate you asking and you and your wife have done a phenomenal job. My hat goes off to you your dedication to that little boy. Sometimes when I see pictures and videos a hand I get that little little feeling that why I remember when he was born. You were not you. Were dealing glowing when he was. Yeah been through a lot appreciate you saying so and asking. It's turned out to be an amazing blessing world. Good congratulations guys now. You mentioned skylight skylight. Been Open yes so Wilkes. This ad is over there correct. Yeah Wilkerson drewery and I guess probably whether you have to keep a look in in know and find out and kind of get an idea. Hopefully they got all their works published. I know jury is a very good horsemen and very sneaky. And sometimes you gotta read between the lines because not that many works get published right and you know but That's a good point. Skylight could be very interesting because it is a synthetic track. I believe have their training track. Yeah so that's that's that's my next question. I'm glad you brought that up. You reminded me That's that's a good facility And I when I get off the phone with you. I'm GONNA check and see if What the workout looks. Work routes look like from there. And see if there's something that we could use Coming up in the next at least the first couple of weeks right. Yeah now that they've been going. Tommy used to live next door to me and obviously know him anyway in Churchill. So I've I've been in touch throughout all this and it doesn't sound like they've had any hiccups out there. At all other than you know the usual if weather slowed things down it. Cetera via they've been full steam ahead Last question Churchill related got some big name jockeys coming in cast Castellano. Rosario Johnny v Three guys I'm sure you're familiar with well anyone's familiar with period but you obviously see a Lotta them down at Gulfstream. Big Naira names typically any thought to know what were their strengths might lie against this Churchill Colony and certainly. Churchill seems to be a track that does offer some home track advantage when you think of how well someone like Landry or barral More historically have done at that tracks verses others. How do you see these guys in here? What about the Ortiz? Brothers have not heard that they're making the trip I. I wouldn't be surprised if they're here. Mistakes day before Nyerere opens. But I don't believe they're planning on being here regularly. I thought I saw Jose Post something about coming to Kentucky. But listen this could be one of those colonies that can resemble the the old California With pink guide delahoussaye McCarron Stevens Robbi. Toro remember those those. I don't know if you're old enough to remember those particular Off Mike coming of age in the late nineties go on for some but those guys were absolutely amazing and just step back for a second and I'll fill in your question. I am going to handle the first couple of weeks as of Churchill is I would handle a del Mar meet when they opened up track three days before the meat started. I would handle the workouts. I would look at the the horses shipping. And of course you have to go. There won't be that many works or over the track at all Also I don't believe that there's any statistical advantage of being worked over the track and running over the draft from skeptical handicapper by Berry Metro. Dade actually did it And you know little shameless plug for Oldbury. But the other point is is that. When you're looking at the jockey colony you what I WANNA do is. I want to be able to see them ride for people that they don't usually ride for so for example if a grant foster or a jury or a will send. Alaska's doesn't ride for Wilkes or or he doesn't ride for jury and all of a sudden they're on those horses that tells me a little bit more than for example Johnny Velazquez writings for top Letcher. In on which pletcher would be another issue. He's going to have A. You're going to be able to ship in from Palm beach downs and run at Churchill in the first couple of weeks. I don't think so you have to be on the grounds right. I have not seen any restrictions to running. 'cause if you have to be on the grounds that would eliminate. I know I know they're expecting a lot of ship shipments from turf way. Okay Okay what. My my reason is is that you can set that up by simply ship in a horse in you already. Have Your groom. That's been tested at the Barnes. They ship into the barn. So you should be good as far as that's concerned and there would be that human traffic. That could cause a problem but I would look at horses like that. But if Johnny Velazquez shows up on other horse from a Barney doesn't usually get on and like the drewery or Wilkes or grand foster or or even a Greg Foley. You know. That's the kind of ones that I'm gonNA pay attention to. And of course they're gonNA fit in their class world class jockeys yeah no question about them fitting in and actually agree with you and this is anecdotally my power number run the numbers but I kind of thought by you know puts up..

"In here for us we mean additional ten million dollars for us. It's not. It's not like that. It's all we have to make sure that we represented a certain level so where this door is open for. Everybody bet looks like us to come behind me so we have here. We go in there. Are Stuff that you taking. That responsibility is so wise and really so intentional and I think that people are listening. It's GonNa give them so much. Hope that an area where they have interests that you're out there blazing a trail and going ahead of them. I think you talk about me in the hands and feet of Jesus. That's literally making the crooked path straight for those who are coming up behind you so at definitely WanNa commend you for that. We're about to close out but I have to ask you. What gives you hope for the future. And what makes you I don't want to say afraid. But maybe what do you think is an opportunity of growth for maybe us? All as we navigate a future that has so much uncertainty with it. But we hope for the future or Disney. Hope the Caesar's I would definitely like to say. Look we hope for the future? It would be in a small thing. It's not like it's a major the things when I was even talking about my gratitude list of things that gives me hope for the future are seeing a smile somebody space or hearing a positive testimony. I was reading the other day about somebody like delivering birthday. The baby wasn't GonNa be Boring Arrows. A baby they thought was bad and it was actually being born I would definitely say positive. Testimonies always give me hope There's this gentle reminder that you see in here all the time that you know God is still on the wrong and things are happening and I would definitely say positive testimony. They give me hope always You said in something. What was the other question? Just an area now. What makes you afraid because I think you know? Fear is not but what? Where do you think we need to grow the most as humanity? Maybe as a people group in order to realize a better future in tomorrow for every person on the Earth. I would hope okay. An area of growth. I would hope that everybody would would take this time out. Especially right manages to be self aware because I did post about this too about. We're getting a very big lesson in empathy. Yeah and what I mean by. That is that there's sympathy when you have you know you feel sorry for someone else's misfortune but when you're empathetic you share the feelings of another and right now. The world is getting a lesson in empathy. Everybody can be empathetic to what is happening. Because it's happening to all of now it's affecting everybody on all different levels but there's a certain level of infancy right now that's being shared across the globe. And that's one thing that I can say you said this. The spirit of fear definitely is running rampant at a time like this but on the other on the flip side. Is everybody getting the lesson of empathy of what? It's like to share another person's feeling and I think that is definitely an area of growth that everybody can grab hold up. Well thank you. Thank you for being alight and for choosing to keep your light on. Even as you're going through you know the that were all going through with our events and speaking you have committed to being light. And that's why I know not only. Are you going to be fine? But YOU'RE GONNA come out on the other side of this was so much more innovation creativity and confidence in your going to drag US along for the journey and we're going to become better as a result of it is less. So thank you for doing this. Thank you I hope I was a rambler too much. I'm over here like somewhat number eight. Okay I'm nervous. It was great. It was absolutely great. You're.

"Ninety nine on the dot his last three late pace rating so definitely speaks well to me of a of a good horse which we already know But I am a little worried. We'll see what the price ends up in the wind tool But I do have him below the two most interested in using and does be in that. We both contribute to various social media channels of twin spires etc. I know that we have a mutual affection for the next four. So who I think. has a great chance to get the right trip based on what we saw in the SAM. F Davis I feel like the Gulfstream Park Service. Surface is kinder to this one's running style and I liked it to Tribeca gave this one some time after that racer Tampa talking of course about independence hall never liked to see a loss that seven to ten But I thought the winner there got the trip. I thought he ran. Fine in the Tampa Bay Derby so you know. No major concern there But a similar horse that that has A look that might get. I jumped on the the horse's like Tis. The law behind him The pace collapsing in front of them. independence hall. It's my pick. Yeah it sounds like you're a little more bullish on than I am but he is my lukewarm top pick. I went back and forth quite a bit between him and Indian and like I said him. Tis The law. Give an equal chance of winning maybe slightly more but given the odds I just Kinda well with independence hall. I think it'll be a little bit of a better price than even at a Indian could be wrong Have the concern I have with. Independence Hall is is his ability to relax I know much can be made of positively or negatively of that effort that you spoke of when he lost seven ten in the SAM. F Davis I think the negative is that he didn't relax well. Jose Ortiz had to move a little earlier than he wanted the positive obviously being the the fraction that he ran into. And still you know. Finish pretty strong in that race to get second too late running. Soul Valenti I think I guess. I'm hopeful that fluoride Andrew gets out of the gate in kind of clears over and that Joel Rosario on independence hall can can sit. Second be a little bit more of a factor than anybody else was last time in the Fountain of Youth with a Indian I think that's independent halls. Best chance of winning. Maybe they can line up one to without any of the other cheaper speeds if you will be much of a factor because I think the further they separate the better chance it gives his the law of running them down and having a clean trip maybe some other horses as well but as we've mentioned probably the top three there so that kind of my hope. What my thinking was I when you speak of you. Know where we about our top picks and a couple of social media settings and that was the hope in thinking with independent tall Definitely think he can take a step forward Pretty sure you probably looked at. The RAG isn't sheet which both of us very much into it looks like. His best efforts are are good enough to beat even his the laws best effort so far right right. Yep Yeah that was definitely the deciding factor because I do think from a few just say. What percentage chance do these horses have of winning? They're you know they're obviously very close. I'm not trying to make the argument. That independence hall is clearly the most likely winner over the two. We've already discussed and others will get to but Looking knowing that I felt they were even knowing the price as you noted The she was too for me. The final the final call because On Brits Net speed ratings admittedly the Nashua is certainly fast enough to content. Here is a two year old race so figure maybe s an improvement Sam Davis was about their But in the sheet really sorta magnified that for me and that's typically been a powerful three year old angle for those who Familiar with the numbers form cycles is when they get back to that two year old race and then hopefully breakthrough in the next. I think we're getting the right price to bet on a breakthrough. Yea I guess the other concern that I did mention it. I don't know if I have it in a mile and an eighth at Gulfstream as much as I would. Moving forward is just how far this horse really wants to go. The pedigree certainly isn't there. I Lo- Constitution. Maybe proving it wrong but the average win distance for both the CIDER and the dam on the bridge net Pp's is six point six which doesn't scream out you know a classic distance horse but And visually again just really wanted to see him relaxed. And I think he's got a rider that could really Really help that out to a resort. Oh great finisher good at getting horses to relax forward to seeing him running in hopefully getting the wire I for us the I. I still don't know how we got. Nador home in the in the rebel of which you know some will see that eighty to one. Kelly met horse and second in and say well. He should beat a horse like that. But I mean horse was the last one standing after You know through the Kitchen Sink Adam and certainly Joel deserves a lot of credit for making that happen after being in a tight spot on the rail early and probably having to use a little horse to make sure he kept position so To to me the right rider after what we saw in the SAM. F Davis and We we agree on the top three. We even agree on the one to use at the relative prices. It does sound like maybe a divergence here Because like you. I'm looking mostly horizontally on. This car does much as I do would love to jump into a vertical wager given the twelve horsfield. I just really have no opinion that separates from the obvious horses that I really want to zero in on at least at this point But but GOUVERNEUR Morris He's a horse. I pretty much one on every ticket. I think to get live to at eight to one morning line and I do think there'll be a slight separation by no means. Am I suggesting he'll be an order of magnitude ten twenty times more than some of the others but I do think there's a line From him to the three contenders we've already talked about The the raw time speed ratings not great But it did seem and we're talking about another constitution here but this one's out of an unbridled Song Mare. It did seem sheet wise. There was maybe some opportunity To move forward to a competitive number At this mound in eighth distant so to me I thought he had the the look of you. Know another course. That's usable that figures to win this race enough times to make them worth putting on the multi-race tickets will I to speak of the separation. He'll give you if you get to that final leg with him. I think it'll be significant. I think A lot of tickets will probably single to the law. I think the next tier of tickets will use all three of those. They'll probably obviously there'll be some pick and choose two of the three while Guvener Mars might be easily the fourth most commonly used horse. I think like you said there's definitely significant separation in the amount of tickets. It'll be on. It'll probably be very obvious in the in the Willpower. As unless it's just chaotic events beforehand where it can really be random The will pays outside of his law would be but I but yeah you probably remember. I've been pretty high on this worse. I mean everybody was high on debut at Saratoga in the slop the mandatory payout and member. He wanted three two three two five that day and then came back against Max field was no match for him. But that was a very good effort by Max Field and nothing to really be upset with It the the rates of Tampa from a visual perspective was hard to get excited about but yet I've seen a lot of good todd. Pletcher horses user race data Tampa not look that dominant and move forward off it and just watching the horse pedigree aside. I don't have the same concerns. I have about him. Getting the distance fact I think the further they go probably be better forum. He's got a little bit more Little bit stronger on the damn side in terms of pedigree but more just watching his stride and kind of seeing how we raised in Tampa last time and just the way pletcher trained him. I don't have a real concern about that Yeah I mean it would be again. If you're looking at it from a win perspective. I need to get the right price because he does need to take a step forward to even be in the in the same conversation as those three horses that I think are legitimate top tier three year olds but I definitely see why he would be your horse. And maybe your second favorite to gamble on any Any top choice for you outside of the the contenders who everyone knows who they are. Now I mean I think from top choice. He's definitely my next horse Guvener Mars. I've had them in my Kirby top ten for awhile and I still do and you hear you talk about it and it's probably GonNa be a horse that when all said and done I have some sort of way to be alive to maybe less less. Combinations or needing. More as if you're that's how you play to get to him but Yeah he's he's the the extreme fourth choice for me in terms of win ended. You know how much that pains me to say. I really would love to have a twenty one that I think has at least a twelve to one chance of winning the race or even a I mean yeah. It was very little bit frustrating to see what I thought was such separation with the top top horses in such a big field. Now I agree and Mostly horizontal player by nature. What I like to play number one but just feel comfortable focusing on The win and And not going race to raise trying to fill out down to fourth in some cases but with the twelve horsfield. And you know really all the attention and hopefully the sports world but certainly racing world on this race. it's going to be a juicy pool in the verticals as well but I just I know where to lean You know maybe try to two key some horses with the obvious that you know twenty one or higher last year. Bodey express with sixty to one and he kind of figured you know maybe get the right setup on the front end and he did end up holding on But this is a race. I mean we'd Yeah. He's twenty one morning line but you know he sorta everyone's thought well he's the one who can clunk up and you know. I'd rather beat him out of the super for that reason Disc JOCKEY. I guess with Bodey meister out of a beret. Go Maher you know. He makes his to turn debut here. I could see that going. Well he does have an interesting brisk net speed pattern Maybe improves so I kind of looked at him. And then candy tycoon. I liked the Horse. Who is Fourth the Chad Brown Horse in the Fountain of Youth Yes thank you so I guess. Candy tycoon some interest at the price to Doubt Heavier Castellano be writing Have you heard who they've switched to? I have not heard that yet. let's see wealthy. Franko is Johnny Johnny vs on on someone or Guvener. Moore's law that's right. Yeah Yeah so none of his three previous who knows who ends up on him but actually it could only help his price You know it'll be a name that no one's going to be like Oh man. How did they get? Yeah I got one. He's got this jockeying I could It's funny obsolete as you you may or may not know. I was high on him after that REMM. Send your favorite race Because he raised against the flow. That day shot ski crawled and and Chase. Tracker was was prominent. I thought obsolete finished grade in evidence by the Brisbane that late pace rating one or two but And you could make the case that maybe just didn't fire Tampa but he's just seems to slow To me to really WANNA get too involved in disc jockey was a little bit interesting to me Like you mentioned the positive From from the figure standpoint prisoner even even the rag isn't she pretty positive but he made wide moves in those races and they were one turn races so and the Barn Saffy Joseph Juniors kind of slowed down a little bit So it's a big step upper lot worse but I guess if I needed to to give out an underneath price key I probably take my chances with disc jockey. I think he'll be up closer than you normally is. Maybe Tyler can get kind of that pocket trip and get I mean. If he works out a perfect trip maybe the horse could get the mile on an eighth and Kinda clunk along because he should surely is proven that he likes the race track here which is always a positive so And then ask seen on TV it to me just looks like a one turn horse. I Dunno you didn't mention him. He's got some pretty big numbers. You're not interested at him and all. Yeah I just was thinking with the rail and you know some of the speed. We talked about that. I do think will be a factor that may be at Indian can overcome Not so sure about some of the others in this race though The you know the deuce to his outside Chivalry Is going to be a potential factor. Upfront and he's run to turns wants but said you know pretty much been a sprinter I just thought it was a difficult task down on the rail in a full field. So it's more you know now that we're talking through it. Which is you know. Part of What I like you know about this format with the podcast as you sort of. Get an idea of what maybe you can do. Is You know as seen on TV. Don't want it all And then I think some of the front ends you. You pitch completely obsolete I think Oh sorta be..

"Podcast. Today we talked with Scott Shapiro about betting Saturday's Florida Derby. Now here's your host Ed Derosa Florida. Derby Week is here. Certainly has a different vibe to it but the race held up extremely well. Given all the circumstances we got a purse cut at the great and points remain the same as a prep for the Kentucky Derby though a very different look and Holiday Beach Florida this weekend. This is more the destination than the path. I think and we'll be talking with my guests this week. From twin spires bed America and my colleague on the Churchill Downs simulcast show Scotch Shapiro. Scott you've been doing a lot of racing handicap and lately. I'm sure you're ready for this. Yeah really excited at about the card. Even though I have a different feel than normal gotten through the back half of the card and spent of course a lot of time on the grade one seven hundred fifty thousand dollar Florida Derby so ready to dive in fourteen fourteen th of fourteen races and lacks last six makeup that mandatory payout pick six which assuming it does not get hit on. Friday. Have to think we're probably looking at eight figure pool. Ten Twelve fifteen million. Who knows what kind of money is out there in circulation This would I believe be the second round of the NCAA tournament so Obviously sad not to have to watch and wager on America but Probably wouldn't be talking to you right now if that were going on so thankful for the opportunity for your insight into this race. Yeah I appreciate it now yet. Pretty good actually. I would just take it a snare at Tomorrow's Card. Pretty Nice field sizes pretty high quality racing. Not sure if that was the plan. All along because Wednesday and Thursday were not very high quality As both of US know not even in terms of our success but just not great cards but hopefully it carries over and we get a Fun To play into and Yeah Bitter Suites Fun. Be fulltime horse racing but man. We're missing out on some good sports right now. Myo Hopefully they'll be back to the derby will be back on the postponed schedule and Did want to touch on that before we get into the meat of this Twelve force at least twelve horses and the Gate Field Gulfstream This is typically the final prep for a lot of horses into the Derby. Maybe if you needed points you could squeeze in a race like the Arkansas Derby if absolutely needed to the Lexington at keeneland but for the most part this is the last stop for courses like Tis Delara. Take Indian This year that's not quite the case would have to think any of these would get another race in before the Derby assuming that Goes is scheduled currently on September. Fifth Are you changing your approach to handicapping this race? It's still derby prep from a points perspective But all the sudden this became sort of a lot more important in terms of earning some purses without another big race. Five weeks down the road you know at. I don't think I am and Oftentimes I think of the Florida Derby because I think of gold stream this such a unique. See kind of if you will. We've seen a lot of horses Of course not always dreaming maximum security but in past years we see a lot of what stays at Gulfstream. What happened to go? Stream stays at Gulfstream and I think a lot of these sources are horses for the core so never really thought of it in terms of that. Of course it's always be used as a hopeful stepping-stone towards the Kentucky Derby but even particularly when I look at this field Maybe you can make the argument to the sixty five favoritism law would be looking at it from a little bit of a different perspective but otherwise seemed like these connections. These are good. These are horses that I certainly want to win this race But did you do make a good point. And maybe it'll be different line of thinking but Didn't really think of until you brought it up to be totally honest. Yeah now see. Some people weighing heavily on trainers who can point toward a race and others. You know. Maybe this is the race and it's it's a blurred line anyway because it's not like you don't want to win a great one. Let's say a million dollar race in the case the Derby Warren five weeks But yeah it was just starting to kind of popped into my head 'cause DISTURBING TRAILS. GonNa look a lot different. Come summertime thought for this race in particular Because there is the obvious favorite and then in my mind behind him to choices In that maybe a couple of others behind them so rather than go top to bottom. I did think we just start with the the obvious. Favourite go from there and that is tis. The laws you mention His performance in the Holy Bull Wild me Not Typically a big visual guy but I thought that was really impressive coming off the loss in the Jockey Club. Churchill and his three year old debut at thirteen to ten. He did it without my backing. Thought he had the look within over bat voice in that race certainly got the job done and he laid off. While it's a Indian came back in one actually think oh probably be outdone in here not even six to five but with twelve horses if you love him. Maybe you get the price you want. But I'M GONNA try to beat him at a small it a short price even given what we saw the Holy Bull. Yeah you He definitely sold me a little more. I think I was a little more on his bandwagon but not nearly as much as others After the two year old campaign especially after the Kentucky Jockey Club. But it's definitely so me more I after the Holy Bull. But I kind of Grouping these three horses together and I have a little bit of a hard time understanding the difference if one's GonNa be even money and then pay Indian and an independent targeted be. What four to one. I don't I don't see the differential and maybe in terms of just pure talented. The law is is significantly. Better That that's debatable. First off but I'm a little bit of worried about a couple of things firstly. I'm not so sure. He's completely mentally figured it out. It seems like either Manny Franko. Hasn't totally figured him out yet. Or this is just trouble prone because he seems to have gotten caught in tough spots just about every race so far and I kind of thought maybe he would be mentally maturing. Perhaps he is. I'm not you know the best in the world watching workouts but he did look a little quirky when I watched his workout rain into that on TV And still saw little quirkiness with the way he moves and whatnot. So drawing seven whole is is normally that might be A great a great spot for many horses kind of middle of the field. But the way draws in this field he draws inside of a lot of forces that are have tactical or speed horses that Tae obviously the far outside but if you look at my first Grammy Independence Hall Candy Tycoon. Sassy but smart. You could argue. They're all quicker if they want to be out of the gate. Tis The law or equally. Quick some kind of wondering what kind of trip it's GONNA lead to for. Tis The law who I would not like to see get caught between horses with delays acted so with a perfect trip. I think he's the one that beat. I'm not going to actively fade them. It sounds like like you. I'd never met him the win. But in terms of the way I'm mostly GonNa play the card which is horizontally. I'm probably GONNA COP out here and use all three Just the way it shapes up a couple other horses. I'm GONNA single on a couple of places where I'm against the favourite so but I won't be rooting for most likely either. Yeah that's a good point about the type of trips. He's had a really not a strong as path when you had that target with that day in in the The Holy Bull. And you know we saw what what he's capable of that kind race but then in the Kentucky Jockey Club at three to five You know varying degrees of how much that trouble cost him in terms of maybe being able to get the win But nevertheless just never looked comfortable down inside and you know from that Middle Post It seems like what's the lesser of two evils Z. Ganda being wide to stay out of trouble or is he going to get that insight trip like he got in the Kentucky Jockey Club where we're clearly just You know Kinda battled with his his rider before getting room. So yeah. There's there's just enough questions to me that it. Let's say even money in this size field with some real talent in here. I just don't think he went half the time. I'm with you on that I think is going to be an underlay and if I were to leave any of the three horses off my tickets because of budget or just because of I think maybe it looks to chalky when I really boiled. You know finalized them. He would be the one because of that and one last thing. John Doyle had I had my guest today on the. Who Do you like podcast? We went over the sequence. He made a good point about Gulfstream. Being extra tough with kickback. In this probably not liking kickback to buy Ge- and he might get some from that spot so the trip is probably most concerning to me. Not The talent Well Speaking a trip part of that of course is based and One of the To Me Obvious. Second Tier Choices in terms of how the wagering will shake out is at Indian who was second To his law in the Holy Bull and then just lit the Fountain of Youth From an outside post so he's sort of been there done that Just went on with it under floor. Roof Seems like maybe a lot more company upfront this time and You know the outside post even though he's done it. Different dynamic stretching out to amoun-. An eighth year and You know four to one isn't terrible especially if you're looking at even money on Tis the law But to me another one that I think she's going to take too much money relative to his chance with all the extra speed signed on. Yeah I could see it on either way and I think like you said the price would be key. If you're thinking about a win wager but I definitely think he's the fastest early earn in here. You have a couple more cheap type speed horses. You Got Chivalry drawn down the inside and I guess go through the field so not to mention them all but I think that a similar a similar aggressive approach in this horse has been a great gate horse and all three starts going Dating back to December twentieth dirt starts. I don't see why he doesn't make the lead again. And Yeah I mean I remember. We were pretty. You know anyone handicapping. The Fountain of Youth was was little bit concern at the very least with that far outside. Draw time That ended pretty quickly when he crossed over and just lay down wall. I see that very much in the realm of possibility. I don't think he's necessarily at a a regression candidate by any stretch. He's kind of been running the same race as the last three races. If you look at his Brisbane that speed ratings one. Oh three one zero four one zero three so while visually looked like he was you know ran the race of his life in the Fountain of Youth. He really he really didn't he took you know he's been Nice. Just staying in good solid form and I think he's got pretty much as good a shot as anybody. Yeah really consistent. You mentioned the final time. Speed Rating And then the the pace lightings are similar is always been on the front end Which sometimes with horses. Maybe they run off for the Jockey. Tries to rate them on the front end in. You know you kind of get a variance of pace ratings. We saw that with no parole. Who suckered me into into the rebel? But this one's just steady hundred eight hundred ninety nine on the dot his last three late pace rating so definitely speaks well to me of a of a good horse which we already know But.

"And then had okay whether it's finished third only three and three quarters links but I'm not sure how strong that race is going to be going forward so at fifteen the one. This horse is going to be my third. Pick at six eight to one Maybe using some super factors. Maybe don't even use it all in the in the multi-race yeah we're in agreement there The sister how to horseracing podcast. And if the bet were showed up for my life in this race Enforceable would probably be the one echo with others faster But just looking at the trip in the style of racy runs. I do think he's the most likely to hit the board. Unfortunately he's also the morning line favorite is somewhat of a name He does have my favorite jockey on no so we'll see if I can overcome that bias. Actually get the Wallet Out Some thanks to like. But you can't take the favorite in a race like this right you can. If it's going to be the bet of your life at the row said well then yeah but I mean you just you you champion you better knock on some wood here shortly. I hope you have a wooded nearby. Because whoever's betting on enforceable just their ears pricked but for me enforceable obviously the winner of the Lecomte here Taking the first leg the rhythm store I thought was a really good race Close from way out of it kind of had a little bit of a rough trip turning for home and still showed his closing round. He's this is a tablet three year old. And we've seen it time and time again I mean even thinking early on the card. We'll get to see silver dust. Who almost took them four and a half years to figure out how to be a horse you know so sometimes these tap. It's they take some time to mature. They take them. Some time to figure things out. There always hotheaded. Enforceable seems to be turning the corner now in right now is the best time to be turning a corner obviously That last race the risen star I thought was really good. The ninety three percents. Beat figure. If you'RE GONNA look to a race it's the re Lecomte That ninety four. Let's figure I just think that this horse is getting better Like I said being a three year old out of tap it sometimes. It takes a little while for them to turn the corner and right now. It's he seems to be doing just that. I'M NOT GONNA pick them on top but if you're willing to bet they Us The your lifetime show on him. I'm going to be using them in third all right. Quick shout out to his damn. Just whistle Dixie He's the fourth full out of her to race. And they've all been graded stakes winners so Not looks like five foals all winners including for green stakes winner so very impressive by her Night traffic is the only other e Type. So this is the one that might keep wells by busy But by cross traffic out of Graham Hong. They're probably going to be looking for the taxi. Stand at the quarter pole if not earlier and has the The added negative of the outside post To chase wells by you some things to like maybe out of this race. If you WANNA give a Mulligan But seems like things are conspiring against With with his running style. Yeah TOUGH TO USE ON. The blinkers go. Back on the source for blinkers on debut at parks. They haven't been back on sense so I think connections are kind of just trying to shake it up a little bit. May I think they know that they're Kinda in for it in the spot and maybe just WANNA play? Put blinkers on and hope that He wakes up a little bit down the stretch. But like for all the reasons you just mentioned drawn in the eleven whole There's some speeches inside. He's most likely going to be chasing the early pace. And he's never shown the ability to sit off of it and passed horses each fifteen to one on the morning line. I'm not going to be using him anywhere. But if this horse goes off something crazy like thirty or thirty five to one. I'd certainly be willing to use in the three or four spot. Yeah maybe just sticks around that price could could get behind nats Lynn's map seem to be a wise Guy Horace going into the Lecompte and they scratched when they drew the outside votes. And then somehow it just five point six to one a week later I definitely thought he would take more money so not so much. A Wise Guy. Horse IN HOT SPRINGS PRESS. The pace in faded then tried to close In the risen star and just ran out of real estate. And I don't know how far gone anyway Certainly interesting knowing that there was some buzz around this earlier but has never cracked ninety If you're a believer newer with them at some point I can see. It's not walking away at thirty two one but certainly an outsider based on what we've seen so far. Yeah I'm not going to be using map anywhere I just I. It's it's tough to go to a horse that Was that for out of it in that written store and did close some ground but who was imposing ground in that race. So Lind's map for me Earlier in the year You know before the Lecomte I was after talking to David. Carroll obviously Marquette he's Assistant that heads the string of horses here in New Orleans. They care was very high on this. We had gone back to the Born to take a look at enforceable and we pass in front of Lens Map and David had plenty to say about Lynn's map. He thought that he was Bradwell. And the further that he went The better you would get just from the way he was training in the mornings and it looks that I mean he may be right in that sense but coming from ten to fifteen links off of. It just isn't going to get the job done on Saturday. No so we're state to his outside. Another horse had his share. Buzz and indeed has actually been favored in three of his force starts with the runner up. Finish in the Lecomte to his lone non chalk performance Certainly consistent believe his three ninety plus personnel speed ratings are the most in the group and they've all come in a row after breaking his maiden on debut reality is. He's not the fastest in the race though but certainly consistency counts for something I do think he's a little more value than enforceable. Assuming the morning line is correct. Overstate being six to one another. I just wanted to see the board If these higher I'm interested if he's lower I'm not. This is who I took on top. I took over state On top here at just I. Obviously this horse goes off at five to two. I'm looking somewhere else. But if this horses over five to to Which I'm almost certain he will be just because I think enforceable it's GonNa to take some money. This is the horse for me. I mean he broke I if you look at his career lifetime past performances Steve Asmussen had him debut at Churchill. Downs and that's over over the meeting. September put up an aiyee presents. Be figuring out the fastest winning by nine and three quarters length but got the job done steps up. The first level allowance stretches out to the mile only gets beaten a nose with a ninety. Three Birds Nets feet figure once again answers. That question stretches out to a mile and a sixteenth next progression. Lecompte runs a really good second that day. I like silver state In the Lecomte I like Tim and enforceable Enforceable obviously got the better of them that day but like I said stretch out from that mile to a mile and sixty successfully ran a really nice second and then last time out in the risen star set a really Nice trip. Kinda just grinded. His way down the stretch and put up a good ninety three. That's beat figure. I think that in this race there's going to be some more pace I think that modernise is going to be The Wild Card in here if modernists absolutely sends from that fourteen whole things are going to get ugly upfront for all the mentions that were the reasons we've mentioned before especially With wells by you down on the rail but if that horsens it's going to be I mean they're absolutely going to fly into that I turn And things could get the little rough up there and silver state is a horse that I picture sitting three or four wide just behind those early leaders getting I run and Kinda just showing that Nice. Grinding effort down the stretch voting awfully close like enforceable. Like you said I mean like I said earlier. If he's five to two I still would want to use them but kind of Grudgingly but if he's four or five to one that's going to be right in my wheelhouse and I'm looking forward to seeing how this horse runs all right. I'm certainly looking forward to seeing how they pet the race. And Um touchdown modernist a little bit. I'll just add a thought that's risen. Sour was fine. And you're right. I mean if he tries to go gator wires. We saw the maiden win at Ecuador's Things are going to get hot up front but if they think oh maybe we can talk behind night traffic. Who's going to have to go from the eleven Yeah they lose a little ground but You know maybe they get a stocking trip But yet what would junior decides to from the fourteen is definitely the first domino That's GonNa fall but we do have a little bit more of a run into the turn with the extra half furlong So that changes things but yeah I agree modernist disorder the the wild card here and and we'll know early. What affect you might have yet? He breaks well. I can't see a junior. Alvarado unless specifically instructed I can't see him absolutely just strangling this horse early on we saw it in the second division of the risen store that he kind of he was almost a little rank in that race as well. He looks like he's just one of those free running. Try and run them off their feet type of horses. We saw that acqueduct Although they did go slow that day. But I just can't see this horse being two or three links off of passing horses down the lane. I think that is only chance. It's going to be to break. Well maybe not absolutely send To the lead maybe just sit right on the flank of wells by but You know how that goes. That's just race riding. It all comes down to the break. Absolutely all right and at the top of all this You mentioned the neither vs intriguing you if they get in I mean Farmington road I guess of the two You know I I guess I mean he's right there with the other fifteen or twenty two ones and another one of the. The pleasure is similar to Portos That didn't break his maiden intros up in a spot. Where he's he's odds-on doesn't look like you can lose. I typically don't like horses like that going into steak so yeah days aren't GonNa Bother me either way. No yeah either way. If these sources draw in like I said I'm Kinda just going to turn the page on them Mister big news was a little interesting to me. Going into the risen store But another one. That's kind of just Ma- and I'm not going to. I'm not going to try and get to cute with this and try and throw horses in there that I don't think I have a shot at winning I'M NOT GONNA use those on any multi-race wages are Within the race. All right well. This is The how to Bet horseracing podcast and I think one thing you've been mentioned as we've gone through. The horses think is really paramount to remember especially race like this You know obviously we all make top ex. Yours is silver state. Is that right Yes sir and mine is was by you but you know when push comes to shove based on the odds You know things may have to go elsewhere You know knowing what we know now Do you have an idea in mind how you might actually bet this race or are you looking at the end? If Silver States the right price is king him with some of the bigger prices. We've talked about yeah. I think the way to go in and racist like these you know especially in the in prep season with these big fields and Three year olds going distance for the first time. It's obviously always on any race day to to find a good price in the find value however you determine value but for me silver state is certainly going to be a win bed if he's anything over the five to two or three to one range At four to one he's when bed even at seventy two He's a win bed and then I'd like to. I'd use silver state along with wells by you on top and Kinda. Just try and mess around with see how the board shakes out. You use those two on top of. Maybe a horse like mailman money Horse like Porto's if he's the right price courses like that that we talked about that kind of have some upside that we still think maybe can't win the race but can be there late. They're more than that. I absolutely think can't run fifth so I'm GonNa just completely those off of my ticket but horses like mailman money horses like major fed. Porto's maybe I'll try and work away. Just.

"Three year olds Throughout the summer Whether or not Mailman. Money is ready for this big of a stage yet. It remains to be seen Breakout obviously mentioning that. The trip was pretty rough and had risen store and we can all see it but As far as wind chances. He's definitely a horse that I'm willing to use underneath especially at that morning line. Maybe someone to run second third or even throw in there in the super effective but on top He's one of the horses like you said that. Does these improved. But I just think that he's going to have to take a big leap forward and I don't think that's Saturday's GonNa be the day for him to take that big jump. All right fair assessment His outside wholesome Pretty intrigued with a despite the speed of full field. There's actually only to E- e- pace types in the race and that means Bruce nutty types is early running style certainly front end. Tried to take them all the way. In the South West get hit by silver prospector was Ways back to third in that race and the ones we've talked about so far has actually been consistently faster couple mid ninety percent that speed ratings Always You know in the back of your head. Psychologically it's kind of funny to think of them stretching out and a horse going gates a wire in such a full field but There's a big taste advantage here to me. Grant especially from that three hole. There's no speed his inside He's GonNa break if if he does break while I should say with It's going to be. It's obvious that the move is going to be to get to the lead. The Brad Cox had success doing that with with Mr Monoploy in the first division of the risen store. So I'm kind of when I think about this horse in this race. I kind of envisioned the same trip. That Mr Montemar got Kinda just clearing early in hoping To be able to slow it down a little down to backside there whether he whether or not nobody comes up the challenge by. That's the question but like you said I mean those those mid ninety Brunettes beat figures last couple. That's I mean. Obviously something going for this horse and you just GonNa come down to the pace if he can get a clearly like he did last time. He has a chance but the fact that he was able to clear last out and couldn't hold on late. I think with the longest stretch here at fairgrounds that may come up to bite him Late in the stretch especially with a horse like enforceable closing from the back of the pack. But that's why you get the price you do and I expect you to be around that morning price. He's in the mix for me. One thing I don't like on the negative side is Sorta double jumps in distance. Some in typically the progression is eight and a half or eight to eight and a half and then nine and then Now this is sort of a twitter I mean. Usually we see nine to ten eight and a half to nine and a half. A you know might be a little Enough to take the starch out. But it eight to one I'm somewhat of a believer. Is certainly one of the ones. I'd like to be live to in that. All GRADED STAKES KICK FOR FAN. Get to that point To his outside. Chester town Somehow unbelievably to me. This horse has been favored in all four starts and I mean I guess if he's fifteen to one. I have a hard time talking people off a horse that price but I want no part of him. No I don't either and you're gonNA need I mean like you said it's tough to talk someone off of fifteen to one but if I was honestly Trying to help someone out. That was new to the game and they asked if they should gesture town. Fifteen to one. I asked for twenty five something in that range. I mean and and trust me to know you know I in with you. Know Steve asmussen is obviously one of the greatest trainers to ever do it. You never know what he can pull out of his bag when it comes to these three year olds but seeing that allowance race. I was right there. I was in the winter. Circle watching the race Gesture towns allowance race last time out and I mean it's the running line looks okay. He was only beaten a neck to shake some action but that was just absolutely wheezing at the eighth pole and in the final sixteenth. He was just. He just didn't wasn't moving smoothly. He came back blowing very hard. I think that the extra distance is no Bueno for this horse and even if this was a mile and a sixteenth I still don't WanNa part of him no I. I hope he run some like troubles to some sneaky fifth or sixth and Timbre and he gets hammered. I'm the drop and yeah yeah So well that's enough on that and probably won't spend too much time on the next one either social athletes fifty to one on the morning line. Pretty Rare Trek winemaker hangs out kind of number and stakes but Lifetime Best Brits number is in eighty two And that was five six starts ago Just you know if you're a believer in the Dallas Stuart Magic. I guess maybe use underneath that a monster price but Really hard to see is a factor on the win end almost And nothing's impossible and horse racing. Is You know. But almost impossible with the source I'm not sure how many people use the prisoner Pp's with the early pace ratings but this horse was on the lead and ran a sixty seven and a sixty eight three one two. So if you WANNA talk about going slow early and instill almost getting caught up the wire and Louisiana Brennan Allowance. That's why get fifty to one. Also schooling in the paddock. Here today and Wasn't acting too good maybe Maybe the minds on other things. Outside of racing right now is raring up out in the paddock. There with our store. Dallas almost had to hit the deck a couple of times so not only is social fleet. GONNA need a move up on paper but Come the big day. Although there won't be any fans there he's GonNa have to have his mind on racing. Yeah no fans but a full gate so tough. He's ranked sixteenth and prime power So tough assignment but like you said. Nothing's impossible Dallas. Done it before but certainly not for me even at a monster price Shake some action Another decent price on the morning line. Fifteen to one Brad Cox leading up Kobe Hernandez for this one. Pretty potent duo In other spots but eight speed reading last out with the wind that was going to mound eighth at fairgrounds Against Chester town. Many upset there at six and a half to one Certainly like better than Chester town. but you know just sort of a middle of the pack type in this race. Yeah maybe one to use underneath. It's interesting to see this progression. Throughout his first restarts on debut he was a very Almost terrible fifth beaten fifteen lengths Here in New Orleans with a sixty nine Brisbane. That's figure Brad Cox puts his horse on TURF. Going TO TURNS IMPROVES THAN Eighty and gets the win to break through those maiden ranks and then all of a sudden Brad Cox has them over the main trek going against Chester town in an allowance. Race in the Horse Continues to Just answer every question. That's been given to him. Jumping up to that. Eighty eight presents speed figure. I think that the the arrows pointing the right way with this horse. I think that if he's anywhere near that fifteen even twelve to one I'd be willing to use somewhere underneath Exact is I try factors just because I mean obviously the horses improving and he has some versatility as far as Winning I'm GonNa Look Elsewhere Syrup Cropper's number seven at Ngubane who's been on those last two Maybe shot with some room. The shot at a better place in four last out it was a slow pace but target US head as an excuse because shake some action certainly closed into that slow pace For the wind sharecropper was done on the rail and the win at Churchill In late October I thought was pretty useful. Maybe the source can get back to that race and that's good enough for a minor placing at a big price but in another one of those. That seemed like too much improvements needed for a win tab. Yeah I'll start earlier in the season Here had this horse entered in a couple of spots but it just seems to be. He's just one of those three year olds. It just always seems to have a problem. He came back on that Out of off of that layoffs from October in February and that Chester town and shake some action allowance race. And like you said just kind of it was just kind of flat and I think that Maybe he's still a good horse going forward but as far as the right now aspect. I don't think that he's good enough to on Saturday. Royal Act is by triple crown champion champion. American Pharaoh five hundred thousand dollar purchase for connections that also had the breeders cup winner last year I thought the Lewis was okay. certainly a an effort to build off of the now gets to stretch out Now granted earlier. I said I don't love the eight. Nafta nine and a half stretch out but you know sources tend to want so we're getting a familiar prices we are with the wells value Another one too hard to completely dismiss But I I look at that turf race and granted. It was on turf. The Eddie Logan doesn't seem like there's a lot of excuse there so if you think he's a dirt horse. I could take him but if you think he's just sort of that ninety percents type which we've seen in his last two then he's talked back. Yeah he's going to be tough to use on top. It is interesting To See that this horse obviously has taken to the main track. A bullet workout at Santa Nate on the twenty nine th of February after that Robert B Lewis so maybe the connections maybe Peterman Has found a little bit of a niche with this horse. The only question for me is going to be that stretch out. I don't know if this gets the mile and three sixteenths especially off of a little bit over a month. Layoff and don't get me wrong. That's not a long lay-off whatsoever but with this horse Just seems like the type that's GonNa need that Mylan Sixteenth Mile and even then. I don't know if this is a pure bred Going to be great dirt horse. Learn more Saturday Number nine Porto's who I thought Made a decent move I didn't think shot ski was ever winning. The weather's did hold on for a second mets player. Just got the jump on them and then ran away with the race So I thought the weather's was okay for Porto so little concern needed for racist to break his maiden and he was three to ten thereabouts three to ten to two five when he finally did so it was expected to lay over that five. Horsfield in the slap and did You know another one of the most could win. I I would say those. We've talked about that. You know could win needs a little improvement etc this one maybe more on the underlay side at eight to one. There's there's others fifteen or twenty to one that I like just as much so I went to a bigger price. Yeah Porto's is a horse that I consider putting in the second or third slot. It just GONNA come down to price like you said eight to one at a little short Considering that Like you said took a couple of starts to break the maiden finally did and then had okay whether it's finished third only three and three quarters links but I'm not sure how strong that race is going to be going forward so at fifteen the one. This horse is going to be my third. Pick at six eight to one Maybe using some super factors. Maybe don't even use it all in the in the multi-race.

"This is the Tabet. Horseracing horseracing podcast. Today we talk with grandma. Grunge about Saturday's Louisiana Derby. Now here's your host. Ted Derosa show goes on in horse racing not in front of many live people though some will be in the stands when the Louisiana Derby is conducted on Saturday at fairgrounds and one of those lucky enough to be in attendance. I at the thrill of being one of few. The the rebel grant Legrand's from fairgrounds will have a similar thrill is he and his peers. Gets a witness the Louisiana Derby two hundred points on the road to the Kentucky Derby and that road is extended now until September fifth regardless. This is a win. I'm sure many of the trainers and horseman wanting to grab it's the million dollar twin spires Louisiana Derby grant welcome to the horse racing. Podcast thanks. I appreciate Appreciate you having me and like you said. I'm going to be one of the lucky ones in this unfortunate time and Not only racing but in any sporting events I'M GONNA be one of the lucky ones that get to see the first one hundred point. Prep race I'm looking forward to it. Louisiana Derby is always The highlight of my year. And it's It's not only fund race to watch and see how these horses perform the rest of the year. But it's also Seems to always turn out to be a really good race. Bit No question about it with Sixteen entered fourteen will go assuming only to scratch is certainly a good bending events this year as well plus the added is the race will be NBC. Sports So excited to get that pickup Trying to make lemonade out of Lemons. Obviously don't love the circumstances but The they are what they are. And is someone I'M NOT GONNA lie grant You Know Surreal Eerie. All those adjectives being at a race track with big time racing fans. But certainly something. I'm GonNa be telling my grandkids about what next what an experience and you've had a few days a racing without fans but I'd imagine what they're actually being big steak Saturday. It's GonNa feel more different. Yeah I was That that thought I tried to block that sought out for as long as I could but today kind of doing TV Solo all day today on track. It really It eerie feeling like you said starts to creep in just because you know usually you come into one of those big big weeks and you experience it at Oaklawn but you come into these. Highlights you know the marquee events of the meat and Even though the week of there's the buzz and you know and people are looking forward to it for some reason or another. You have a bigger on track Wednesday crowd. And you know there's there's some lead up to it but today which just me and Three other people in the paddock and I was sitting there doing the pre ratio and almost talking to myself in a sense Other than you know obviously it goes out to simulcast but like you said it's a it's a weird feeling It's certainly strange to be at a track like the fairgrounds. Which usually you know has not only great racing but very fun and Interactive crowd and. It's a little different to be sitting out there In dead silence almost just hearing the horses walked behind you in the paddock. But it is what it is and we're GONNA make lemons out eliminate is that how it goes I think it's lemonade out of Lemons. Although actually lemons lemonade would be more impressive than you think about it. That's why I said it 'cause I was spending you're taking level people. One another SORTA weird wrinkle to this sort of byproduct is You know we're we're prepping for race now. For many of these horses country house actually raised again in the Arkansas Derby last year before Winning the Kentucky Derby but For a lot of these horses this would have been the final star for for the Kentucky Derby Argo imagined. That's in play now With the race being moved to September fifth and Churchill is hinted that they will add some points races. Not sure how many how much they'll be worth it Sarah But you know a a little luster lost from you know a last chance to see these horses before the Derby standpoint And I know as part of your job. In addition to handicapping talking races in the paddock. Do a lot of barn work. A lot of great videos up on twitter and social media would of the the horsemen been saying about this whole situation terms of preparing their horses and thinking about a derby. Now that's six months away. Yeah it's definitely a It's definitely a mixed bag for someone like Brad Cox for example He's you know. Obviously he had Division One winner of the risen star Mister monoploy Who won that race and then came out of the first division of the risen so it with a little bit of an ankle issue so originally right after the risen star when they issue came up. Brad Cox had continued to say that obviously the horses off of the betrayal. But now obviously as you mentioned with the Derby being pushed back a horse like Mr Modern y you know if it is indeed just a minor ankle injury now all of a sudden has has a couple of months to recover and get back into training. And so it's an interesting dynamic. Would you know you have people like that? You have trainers Brad Cox with Mr Manuel. And then you also have you know other guys that Obviously you're aren't thrilled about having the Derby pushed back but at this point it's just opinion because we've I've never seen this before and a lot of these trainers have never seen Something like this before. So everyone kind of has their own opinion whether or not most of it is positive or negative. I'm not sure yet. It seems to be a little bit of mixed emotions Between all of the trainers but for me. I think that you know it is what it is and Business as usual we'll I'd imagine a lot of the sentiment will be distilled in August You know Mr minimally comes back. Game Busters Brattle love it But like His law is awesome through July. And then you know God forbid something doesn't go hundred percent that camp Would definitely a wish for a major be? But you know we're all dealt the same hand so at least it's fair in that regard and finally get to the main event here as we both hinted excellent batting race Really no obvious. Obvious favourite You're GONNA have what fourteen horses There's only the two scratches you do have to. Have you heard anything about how the field might shake out? Do it either of the as have a chance to draw in. I haven't heard a everyone's been playing pretty tight to the chest I haven't heard But to be honest even if these To a draw in. I'm still looking elsewhere. But as far as scratches and to one of the two or both of them drawing. I haven't heard we'll we'll go top to bottom because I don't really see this as any horse not worth talking about some more than others though but it does start down on. The rail and natural at the VIBE is their New Orleans grant but Certainly among my Louisville friends and people I see at Churchill. Downs all the time Hard to find a trainer that would be Not Hard to find a trainer that would be more popular Greg Foley having a Derby Horse and we've seen it to some extent with mark and Brad and Greg seems to be at that level as well. He's local his kids from around here. They're involved as well. A lot of excitement about major fed Down on the rail based on first nets numbers is going to need to find some improvement But he's by go sapper out of a smart strike mayor so no reason to think the distance Can't help him. Yeah and I've I've I interviewed Greg fully after this horse broke his maiden on we back on the first of January and even then Obviously the camp knew that they had something with this horse even on debut but after that easy win Breaking the maiden Greg Foley and his team his kids Travis and they all had high hopes and It seems to becoming to fruition. Here it's good to see that whole crew getting a just an opportunity. I like Travis said at the Louisiana Derby. He said it's nice to be here. It's good to have an opportunity and at least we have a say in this game and to see them win this race that would be A thrill as far as the horse goes like you said that ninety one birds that speech figure last out obviously gonNA need improve on that in but a lot of these horses in here Have something to prove. So at eight to one on the rail. I honestly there's A. There's a bit of a run into that. I turn. I would have liked to see major fed. John Maybe somewhere near the middle of the pack even though there is that long run into the first turn. You still going to have to work out a trip but Who better to work out a trip than Joel? Rosario so major fed on the round at eight to one if you get part of it. I don't see why he couldn't win. This race and Joel was on NATO. The rebel last week and Somehow kept that horse together to repel would seem like a challenge from every horse in that race and they doll was down on the rail as well so the paint and one thing probably should as I mentioned at the top of all this this is a mile and three sixteenths for the first time It does that Affect you do you see that distance is more like amount an acre more classic test for these horses. I think it's more I think it's more of a classic test To be honest with you I think that the mile and three sixteenths We're going to get to see that I mean once you get the distances like these For three year olds It's I mean every yard is going to be a grew. It's a grinding battle. Every extra yard you put onto these racist so To stretch sources out to a mile and three sixteenths I think it was a good move horsemen obviously agree in both the risen star and in this race So it's GonNa be fun to see how it all shakes out going forward. Yeah the Entry Back. Certainly speaking volumes with the full field number two mailman money Connection to Louisiana Derby fans and we'll see the upset winner from last year's Derby on the undercard by my standards. Of course. That's certainly taken a shine to mailman. Money five to one Definitely some buzz off that maiden win at five to two. I actually didn't think that was a terrible race from the ten whole Was Wide had some traffic early. Definitely could see some improvement in store here at a decent price I mean really like to be a broken record or will be by the end of this one of many scenes. It has fat yet. It's tough to not be a broken record in this racist because all of these sources have Tons of upside and so much approve. Mailman money Pretty rough trip in that Rhythm store on the fifteenth of February still finished a nice fourth and talking to Bread Calhoun after the race He mentioned that he he just waiting on this horse to get To mature a little bit he thinks that this horse going forward is going to be a real threat For the three year olds Throughout the summer Whether or not Mailman. Money is ready for this big of a stage yet. It remains to be seen Breakout obviously mentioning that. The trip was pretty rough and had risen store and we can all see it but As far as wind chances. He's definitely a horse that I'm willing to use underneath especially at that morning line..

"That you can push to the side. That's my rant of the day I'm sticking to it. Beating favorites is definitely the key to long-term success. I'd say maximum security could be even money In this race. I'm hoping I can. I don't think they'll be eleven to four in the Para mutual worldwide pool. So I really hope I can. I can get down on that in the in the book. Making markets but Interesting race for twenty million But much more excited about the Fountain of Youth that I think there's some opportunity there. If you're on Indian I like country grammar certainly excited to see what. Dennis's moment doesn't return as a three year old and Was Exciting to have you on Danny. Really appreciate the time always a pleasure. I love go to the races and spending time looking at these figures in trying to predict what these young three year olds are GONNA do. We still have six weeks till I guess more than that now. Almost two months to the Derby and I you know so far from my perspective. I think the risen star has been the best raisins going to produce. Who I like that race from the I've seen I think it was the second. Division had not the first division where it looks to be the strongest race so far of this Road to the triple crown wrote to the Derby as as it should be for fifty points. the raiders. Two of those races the third of which is the Fountain of Youth and Yeah we're nine weeks away from the Derby but You're right about six weeks because the PREPS end In six weeks so Plenty to discuss. That goes down future wager next week. some points races. And then I'll be heading to Arkansas for the rebel so Plenty to go over and Della Ford Avenue back on all right. "Well look country. Grammar has massive dirt spread right the Which means the horses going to becoming faster than the rest of these So certainly certainly value valuable. Dennis's moment I think is going to get over back as seen on. Tv is going to have to prove that as seen on TV and chances are similar in nature and so what winds up happening. When you bet you bet one you have to bet both right and now you're increasing your bet size with two favorites underneath right so this signals like this would be an opportunity for a win. Bet maybe for Eight I Indian or maybe exact back and forth but for me I would say country Grammar and shot Sqi more interesting than the two others than Dennis's moment as seen on TV or chance it now. We've talked about six horses. That could compete here. You can't do a six box. Maybe if we liked the bottom six of you can do really. Yeah not not when you're giving out for top free right place three on top over six underneath. You're cutting into your prophet and I don't never agree. I mean you gotta eat today. Could make a stand right. Make a stand and you know. It's a long term expectation and You know make a stand with your opinion. I guess I'll just Trust you and make it a pass line. Exact for me seven eleven. Yeah seven eleven. What are you get back on that? Typically afford a one right now. What is the? What is your pay eight to one? Oh Yeah Yo is a ron probably knows better than us. You must not know it though. Usually I get a quick tax What is Yo- it's thirty? Two one for two twelve so probably fifteen to one. This is look if worst runs big in this race I wouldn't bet back and I think eight Indians got as good a chance a better chance than the rest of the field and the morning line. Prices is edible for me. I'm not looking to get greedy by can get seventy two one who on push all right. We've talked about maybe doing the Saudi Cup. No information there is somewhat sparse but do have numbers for the Americans happen to get to it. Yeah we can. I can just pull them up as we talk about What do you want to start with? Maximum security yeah. I mean he's he's find that pin starting and ending point for me only because I happen to think he's the best horse in training and he's currently a A touch over five to international international markets. Eleven to four and I reached out to some people to see if they could get me down because I just I think he's better than everyone else. Yeah last two races. The race at Belmont was a new paste. Up Eighty came back docked at a mile and ran seventy six soft pattern meeting in hand. Hasn't found like we haven't seen the best of maximum security from pace figure perspective. But he's got he's got more upside than downside and looks to be trending forward so his an. He's going to be an exciting Orson. I didn't realize that's the price of not seems like it's a pretty generous figure for him. Yeah well part of that. Reason is they are betting McKinsey and Mutual Gustavo. Who is the Baffert duo McKinsey seen since the Breeders Cup? Classic runner-up to Roseau Mitchell Cousteau Believe of all these is run. Most recent which I was the Pegasus Cup win any any clues with either of them which Gustavo's got a wide dirt spread his fast any scattered. Big Dirt spread Remind me how far they're going to one turn. Yeah I mean is I could see why he's getting action. It looks a little bit slower and maybe off top but you can't. You can't really not which occurs go figure out Mackenzie standby we've of course search feature that if you if you sign up you can search individual horses which is Kinda cool article. Yeah because he's going the wrong way I would say McKinsey and if you look at his fingers is so check out. His last five figures final figures. She Ready Eighty Five. Eighty three eighty one. Seventy eight seventy four and if you were to grasp at our own way and if you graph that out which we have a feature where you can just look at grass if people are visual and they just WanNa look at the way of worship trending. It's the wrong way. Oh Yeah from a figure perspective unbeatable. What is because these odds Believe three to one yet. There's my throw out. We're not been saying she's just not fast enough right. If not fast enough in going the wrong way seventy nine. Seventy five seventy one. Last final figures looks to be trending down again if you were to look at midnight be sues visual since a Belmont in the summer of last year. Eighty one seventy six seventy nine seventy five seventy one slow trend the wrong way. So that's that's how you know. Remember predict the forum is is a pattern based algorithm rights so it looks for courses in its sorts through data to determine horses that are going to move forward or regress. It doesn't necessarily inside one number speed figure so it allows you to look at a worse without the odds without jockey without the distance or anything. Just compare these horses across the board and see whether horses moving the right direction wrong direction of course can going the wrong direction and still win or can be going the right direction and still loose but the foundation of the analysis and the math says if the horses going the wrong direction even if it reverses its form. It's still not going to be fast enough in this to win so I would say with midnight. Be Su And also Mackenzie their their short horses. Odds wise that looked to be heading the wrong direction that even with a forward move are not going to be fast enough for us to back. And that's that's what you look for in handicapping trying to pick a winner is not necessarily getting to the winner but finding some favorites that you can push to the side. That's my rant of the day I'm sticking to it. Beating favorites is definitely the.

"The his agent that thinks this is the one to rise to wire in the Ramsden Couldn't couldn't get the job done in the woods withers Max Player. Blew Him Gets the cutback here. Domain of sixteenth would should help with his run style but he is on the outside. There's other speeding here. And what some name recognition just has the field and underlay to me. Probably so has a good russell pattern of Churchill. Wanted acqueduct ran a seventy aquidneck. Which by the way is not too bad. It was pretty much a compression line where the final figure in the four furlong figure. Were about the same These aqueduct numbers in the wintertime shade on the lower side. So I'm not going to dismiss. Sixty nine is being too slow in the field a I would think he's got potential underneath. I think he's going to be there. improving late got into. How well he's going to do with. Who's going to take to the Gulfstream surface which tends to play really fast Would have to run back to his Churchill race. Which in our minds was his best figure lifetime so consideration for underneath not on top and he has co highway with Dennis's moment which I know you're you're feeling I'm wait. It's basically baked into the price. Ray Ready but I I take note Y'know eleven is a Tae Indian Renoir hearted you know. Really discount what we've seen from him so far. I usually talk more about the speed ratings. Leave the pace to you but I will say. His pace ratings empress Very impressive and Diana sat outside post to deal with here but.

"Graf rags on. This horse is going to be misplaced in his final figure is GONNA be too high. So I'm watering this number down like five or six points just happened to be. That was one of those days that so to me on a figure perspective it fits but it's not like it's that much faster so. I think the worst is GONNA get over. Bet GonNa be the second choice would make it difficult for me to wager on a horse just because war. Public money is going to come in on the horse and You know I think we just got a discount that final figure little bit if a horse runs back a little bit too even the race at Gulfstream. When he ran a seventy five at seven furlongs he could win but the two races the Horse has are at seven furlongs. It might be the horses. A sprinter agreed Yeah I like him less than Another door which I guess makes sense for me at the price but I certainly see him as a bigger toss Well that's three days. Did you watch the race? I went back and watch the race. Like he was a young horse. He he had the lead he let the rest of the field. Come to him and he drew off right so he went the race. Pretty handily if you look at the. Pp's you could see that. I think he's going to draw a lot of money. I really do. I think he's GonNa wind up being like seventy two and You know stretching out like this and coming off a big race. I think he's vulnerable as the favourite only bullet here Dow Well it sounds like I'm probably a little more bullish on mailman money than you which At least eight other options To hear who you're most excited about in the seat right so I would say I'm most excited about Mr big news. Believe it or not Do you think you are exactly Mister big news by Giant's causeway ground right so I'm not again not a huge fan about sires. But when you get into graded stakes that matters. I mean. There's not that many graded stakes throughout the year. How many are there like Not Ninety maybe the lead no more than that but yeah not many and the leading sire has fifteen graded stakes wins right. So it's not like any sire. Dominates graded stakes. At least giant's causeway is isn't the Group of Fires. That's throw graded stakes winners. But what I really like about Mr. Big News is this. Massive improvement race over race ran. A bunch of low sixty figures was just kind of plotting along and last race ran a reversal pattern and a seventy-three final figure. This is like really significant improvement and changes. Its running style and that's enough for me in a race. That's pretty wide open to think. Well maybe Mr. Big News could move forward off that race in twenty two one morning line. You were mentioning Bret. Calhoun as the trainer. I think you know with a running style. That's going to be coming off the pace and will like the distance that is the worst will probably play now. We'll definitely play man and you'll get you'll get a big price Because as we both said we think the The top two or definitely gonNA take money and You you speak of Giant's causeway like into win graded stakes breakout Hoon. Twenty three percent graded stakes with a seventy nine percent positive R. Y. For trainer a lot of know about and runs You know horses all over that. That's a pretty solid percentage. So he's clearly getting it done with prices as he did last year with by standards and Louisiana Derby anyone else to others to look at major fed would be one of them against similar kind of running style negative attitude. I out lifetime reversal. Final figure in the low seventies. Not Unlike the horse we just talked about would expect that major fed is going to run and improve race should be know like the distance and Lynch map Wanted to ask you because yeah it was Kind of a sexy pick I was. He was five. Point six to one so hardly favorite but definitely had some people like me entered the Lecomte and scratch because he had the outside post And then did a speed and Fade Job. Never making the League at Oaklawn in that tricky mile configuration there in sealed muddy track But stretches out here by Liam's map out of the hair so Certainly not concerned about the distance for this one But that that lay last race wasn't great was less two races. Were kind of slow. I two races of the horses in horses. Career were good. So a couple of seventies and then back-to-back sixty six's in if the horse POPs goes back to that seventy one seventy two area which I think it could. It might be there but lists looks like worse going the wrong direction. Ed You know I mean the numbers are going the wrong direction. So from a predictive foreign perspective does a tough force to bet like all you would be. Betting is blindly betting that the horse would go back to his form cycle first and second out which might happen. But it's just it would be a guest for us and probably somebody. Of course that would be tough to bed You know if you look at number one modernist and let's say you're looking for tr- trying to find another words that might be worth investing in in this race. The he's run three decent races in the high sixties. They were in New York so New York place slower. So these as a that. Liam's horse we talked about earlier. Ranna eighty one at Tampa. These sixty nine times can be juiced up a little bit. You know modern modernist has run three good races. I would expect modernist to have a monster race coming up in it. Looks like you sitting on something. It might be here. Might be down the road but modernists might be another one that we would look at here. So it's kind of a race where we could play doubles or we could come in to pick threes or pick. Four is but between the two races there are a handful of you know eight ten and twenty two one shots that are playable. Yeah no and especially in that second division willing to play against both The clear top two choices Definitely opens up some opportunity pending on your your risk tolerance. Dan Tries You know the the right horses in a field the twelve especially that's When you really can make some hey You mentioned the double. It is Risen Star Double Racist Twelve and thirteen and scabbard. With mister. Big News would be about two hundred fifty to one based on the morning line. So that'd be a pretty staunch Coal double give out on the PODCAST. That's actually not going to be two hundred fifty two one by probably going to be more like you know one hundred fifty to one hundred seventy five okay. Yeah yeah so that would be. That would be my lock. You know to lock double. That's all right if price will be right so let's let serious. Let's get serious. About what the double the double would be so we would play. I'm GONNA play digital. I don't know about silver state because you kind of talked me off him because of the odds Certainly scabbard Yes let's say those two and then with Modernist mister big news major fed. So what is that? And they'll made money so it's two times four six dollars to for to. Yeah Yeah and if you WANNA punch it for five forty dollars manageable number. Yeah and for me. I think In addition to the DABAL which I think is worth looking asked if you're willing to play against the favorite In each individual race scabbard would be my key unraced. Twelve and then mailman money really You know one time against the top two You know I'm I'm willing to kind of play around with any horse That I think could fit. You mentioned modernism. Talk me onto Mr Big news at a price. So really the key. Though in terms of the how to bat portion of the podcast title beating these favorites right right and then you know the challenge with a double is to take out take out is at fairgrounds probably in the what low twenties or something like that. But this is like this. You're GONNA get him. You're going to get a pool of one hundred hundred and fifty thousand and the you know the computers The the robotic wagering will try to fill in the gaps. Here probably cost us a little bit of money. But there's enough long shots in both legs and you're GonNa have pretty strong favorites at least in the second race that you'll get paid if if we hit the double here I like getting paid Like having you on Danny let's Napping strangers as we are inside twelve weeks. I think it'll be eleven. Come Risen Star. Time so seventy seven days and plenty of good racists. Go over and certainly appreciate your time going over these two. I'll talk again. "We're GONNA Talk Sam. F Davis a little derby. So great to have you here all great to be here by I H C. Just the calm before the storm today and just really looking forward to it. Glad to be here. Yeah I am too big time Din I think awaits us in the Barroom Setting I have been somewhat critical of sort of splitting up people at the NHCD and sort of had different clicks for lack of a better word gone in certain rooms. And I think part of the allure of the event is the Camaraderie and the Horse Player and getting five hundred people in the same room to yell at. Tv's should be pretty exciting. I'll definitely looking forward to it. I mean the atmosphere is going to be electric. No doubt about it all right. Well we're hoping to make some electricity with the Derby Future Wager Pool too and we also have the Sam f Davis and what happens in the Sam Davis likely to have a big impact on that future wager. Speaking mostly about likely favourite. Don't think we're GONNA see six to five independence hall is going to be odds-on winner of all three of his starts to date. Gus and whether You're autumn or against him certainly the race goes through him. There's no doubt I mean he's proven he's been at the Tampa for awhile now ever ever since his his last win and he's definitely one of the top horses In not only in in the future bet but also come for Saturday structures out to to turn for the first time he has gone the one turn mile at acqueduct twice so with pretty strong results and to me no real issue constitution out of a Cape Town mayor certainly thinking you shouldn't have any issue with the middle distance who turns and enough pedigree power in my mind even to be a derby threats but on the person that scaly did move back a little bit speed rating wise from a big one on one number and the national ninety four and the Jerome but his rags in another service. I I like looking at what they come up with actually paired his Nashua which was a pretty fast race. Oh he is the one to beat but maybe some vulnerability with some up and commerce. No doubt totally agree with that. I mean he's I think you mentioned I think is price six to five. He comes down there. I think he might be somewhere. Odds on territory come Saturday. But obviously he's race definitely goes through him but there is some value in the race. There's some up and comers that might be worth a shot no doubt Michael Trim Betta certainly capable of shipping and winning and this one has been training Tampa for the Maryland base trainer. Who's already ship this one up to acquit? Doctor Win now gets to run out of the barn so to speak you. Were telling me before we came on. Air Gus that you've got to see one of these horses in person and he impressed you. Sure did and it's the number six Premier Star for Navarro. I was there. Classic Day At Gulfstream Park in his I mean he looked great new post parade. I'll tell you what he actually was not breathing after he finished the race. I looked at the winner's circle. This horse was real deal and in his next next start he beat a very nice horse. Very Nice pletcher horse which came back and also in the pool as well. I think this horse had amount sixteenth. I think he get the distance. I think he's got a little bit of a tactical advantage as well in this race. Yeah I think I'm interested to see where the price is ultimately land we'll see if premier star drifts. Up a bit from that three to one I think paces somewhat interesting here to gay to wire and that seven furlong effort for Premier Star and looking at the brisk pace ratings even though independence hall is sort of Stockton pounds in his last two. Run it looking at the pace ratings. It does seem like Premier Star has a chance to get the jump on independence hall. Yeah he might kick. I run on them and who knows I mean? This is not the ultimate goal obviously for independence hall and he might not be fully cranked. Might be the the right. Play peop- Premier Star. I remember like in Asha. We'd in the Rumson came up short to shot ski. You've got a great trip. Net race with everyone stretching out to nine. Now this one comes back to eight and a half Karen ships from Palmettos. Any thought of this one may be turning things around. I mean like you mentioned to me. He had really no shot in Ramstein. I mean that was a soft fractions. Were cut out by shock. St That afternoon the source has been training regularly steady at medals. Definitely a one that can move up. You know here you know cutting back a little bit after the Renton and just to his outside Not sure if you've seen Valente in person but certainly run while already at Gulfstream for Patrick Cone. He had another one last week. Similar profile attack Indian and the Holy Bull who was certainly no match for the winter but Toledo are pick unfortunately was a long way back and again similar profile here triple digit net rating out of that mutual macho man two good ones in front of him to interesting that he's by Cara Conti out of King Mambo Mayor We could see him going back to serve but don't mind them trying to race like this. No doubt improved dirt. Try and I mean. There's no reason he can't come from behind him. Especially if there's some kind of pay stool maybe the race The detract place for closers. He's definitely want to keep an eye on. He'll becoming late for sure. All right well it does sound like it. Odds-on unite both have reasons to gamble against independence hall. Tepidly for me. I mean I recognize. He's probably the most likely winner. Has Some really good races on the page. But I have to think if he goes below even money. There's going to be opportunity with one of the three. We mentioned maybe multiple. It is called the how to bet horse racing podcast and Gus. I've had some good ones. The last couple weeks a nice trifecta last week at Gulfstream and then two weeks a cold double with Spooky Channel Zulu Alpha. Big Big numbers. How you GonNa Bet this one. I'm going to key off The six horse premium star I'm GONNA pipe plamen executives a back and forth with the some of the other logical. Obviously a win ticket. You mentioned before I think maybe independence hall is price comes down and I think it might flow up premium star. I mean some people might have distance issues with him going through turns. I think you might get five or six to one composed time. Wow that would definitely be a price that would perk me up and could Tampa Bay definitely attract. That likes stars in its favorites. Seen some really short prices there through the years and speaking of short prices don't want to give away the stores you're GonNa have your spots. Spotlight selections available on Brits Net for the full Sam f Davis Card but there is a big star big name on the undercard in got stormy who? I have to think wonder five play against one to five no doubt a multiple grade one winner. I mean show most wanted to Breeders Cup of Philly Philly British Cup Mile. And she's a interesting spot for her to make her five year old debut one to five. She's going to be tough tough to be. But there are a few you know turf racing it is sort of compressed and she has upper pretty steady upper ninety percent speed ratings but albatros knee and Dina del Sur is run almost as fast and gets four pounds. Not Get six pounds for Chad Brown which I thought was interesting. Her best races a little further back on the page and then From the same Marquette barn a as Lula's arch with Julian Leper up jockey that got it done for you two weeks ago on the aforementioned spooky channel kind of interesting I might have a sour taste in my mouth cassie upsets himself at one to five but with leper grew up down on the rail ground saving trip. Maybe the one who runs late. No doubt I mean get stormy is is over three at the distance so I mean she does like the mile maybe that little extra sixteenth of mile is to the determination where she comes up a little bit short. And some of these courses would intent to come from behind a MIC catcher. Out The wire there's been stranger. Things happen at Tampa Bang. That's for sure. Well that's two of the twelve races on the twelve race card. Gus will take you through. All of them at Bris Net dot com including wagering strategies to go along with his picks and the SAM. F Davis says the Kentucky Derby Points Race and then to independence hall wins big a he might even overtake his the law as the favorite in pool to if he doesn't maybe even value on him if you think he can turn it around going forward any thoughts on the future pool with those twenty-three individual interests. Yeah there's a few that catch my eye in air. There's no doubt I mean there's some value you obviously want to wait till later off to the races are run on Sunday to put your wagers in. But there's a few there that caught my eye in particular For Chad Brown is a great one winter on the turf the Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf Instructor. I'm hearing good things working out down in south Florida. I think he might be making his a three year. Old Debut in the Fountain of Youth here in a few weeks Interesting to see how he handles the dirt in an interesting to see what kind of pricey is at the end of the weekend here. He was twenty two to one and pull one. I think so even took some money back. Then I'm selling him actually a little nervous about how fast he can be under the Ragusa numbers have not been kind. But you know that's her is a two year old so obviously you know he dirt and move forward. Maybe now's the time and I think he'll actually be higher price and he was two months ago. So if you didn't get on and then you were smart way. 'cause no action and PYRE price with some of these others establishing themselves I'm really hoping Independence Hall runs off the screen because we've seen it. Every year. I mean the the flashy winner takes money. We know Tis the laws. GonNa take money off that race. Nee Doll for Baffert. There's definitely some horses who I understand why they're taking money but I'm still looking forward to beating them. Those three I would say short prices. I'd love to see Dennis's moment drift up. I haven't really decided what price I'd be comfortable taking. I think twenty two one's a pipe dream so I don't want to say that maybe I can get interested at fifteen to one because when I think if he wins the fountain of Youth and he wins the race. You know what's that power lay pay and it'd be a lot less than fifteen to one into the derby so I guess fifteen two one. I'd feel comfortable taking identities moment but I I think the only way that happens is if independence hall runs huge. Yes Dennis's moment working out great. There's no doubt his. He might float up like he said especially with the Independence Hall a big performance. And that you know that's likely to happen here. And if he floats up fifteen twenty two one he might be the valley of all. Because I tell you what I mean. He's had excuses and he's training great every everything you hear Hear about him. He's he's really looking looking for a big big big three year old season. So you can get fifteen to twenty two one. I think he's the one that you really want to jump on at that point. Yeah and Tis the law. We knows I said GonNa take money ran awesome. The Holy Bull was wrong. That was looking to beat them. Not only in that race but just kinda thought he. Maybe didn't have the right. Local Derby horse overcoming trouble getting fast number. I definitely thought you made a believer out of me from a talent standpoint but at this sort of a price. I'm still going to beat him on the field. I'm always tempted to take a look at because I mean it's the most the most popular winner out of this pool and now with the advent of pool one late last year which also has a field component. you know five to two is price. I'm usually willing to take..

"Separate races John mentioned the details to a friend who raised his eyebrows response John had described to horses one name Bendel and the other name Dj Aladdin Ladan and then described how each of them won their race is friend. showed him a newspaper. which listed horses with those exact names running in races the following day at at his friends urging John Bet on both winners from his dream despite the horrible odds and then waited for the results when it was over John had made a small fortune because has both dream horses had actually won their respective races? Most of us would have been elated and perhaps John was for a while but soon enough friends began to pester him for new picks hoping to strike it rich with John's help and it seems that all the attention began to wear on John's patients so instead of giving them tips he did the next best last thing he moved back to Ireland to get away from all of them but John couldn't get away from his dreams later not too long after settling in at his family's estates estates. He had another horse race dream. This one featuring a winner named tuber more upon Waking John Research the Horse Name and found that there was a horse running in the famous grand national channel. That same day by the name of Tuba rose despite horrible odds of about seventeen to one John Bet on it and one three months later another dream led lead to another bet this time on a horse named monumental. The real horse had an eerily similar name and netted him another hefty payday and those big victories tempted John on into more frequent bedding but whether the dreams failed him or he began to bet without their help he soon realized how destructive his gambling habit could become and so he decided to quit after that the dreams became much less frequent a whole decade when Bhai with only a handful of dreams most of them proved to be true but every now and then the dream would steer him wrong. John was increasingly becoming gun shy with his predictions and those losses must have stung more than a little bit. Losing money is never fun after all. His last dream arrived in June of nineteen fifty eight just a day before the annual grand national in this dream the winner was a horse named what man but John couldn't find that name listed in the paper. The closest he could find was a horse named Mr Watts and after wrestling with his options he decided to have faith eighth dream and bet on the horse. Mr What proved to be a good call and John Tacoma tidy sum of money after that though his dreams came to an end and John Godly never again dreamt of horse racing and as a result his gambling career was over and from what I can tell John was all right with that because because if there's anything to learn from his experience with it all it's that sometimes getting what you hope for is a lot less satisfying than you might imagine. "Post thirteen and and I think that's I love looking at those of Kind of track profile statistics. I think they're very They're very important to my handicap in. Especially when you're trying to pick out a tracker see what the post position or see what the you know. What the running style is to a particular race. They're very important and you landed on. You know the whole thing is the horses not one from out there all year. So it's GonNa take a pretty special horse to to to win from the thirteen post. And then you know the horse that won over this track a couple of weeks ago in a rematch. Kinda raised some other horses. That are in here. He stuck in the fourteen. Lynn's Matt who? I was very impressed with in that race. I know it was on the SLOP. He beat a couple of Nice horses though one of which. I think is Mister mom would probably be one of the favorites but he just showed me a lot of grit and a lot of determination and experience like he was looked very seasoned. He looked like he was beat. But he just he had almost like another gear and he took some dirt or some slop that day and I was extremely impressed. I'm not impressed with his post position. 'cause it's GonNa take another just just tremendous effort from him. I think I'm kind of hoping you know that he runs well and comes back. Maybe in the risen star at a better pose make. He's I think he's definitely one of the top three year olds down here at the bedrooms. Yeah and you mentioned grit which I thought was a good word because at rates to back when he broke his maiden at Churchill the one turn mile actually gave up the lead Which isn't really fair to him. I mean he was professional. He you know he responded to Tyler Who gave a a patient ride? Didn't panic when he got headed And then just dug in and You know it was too bad to third to back to fourth so strung out pretty good for a ninety five thousand dollars pot and a agree with you Needs to get a little faster on the brisk nut ratings The being by Liam's map out of the hair. Mira certainly think distance will help as well and with with the post I I mean. Let him take money. I think maybe down. The road is is the better time than the spot. Yeah I'm going from memory. You may be able to refresh it better but I think war will won this race. I think he he won this race last year. We did and it was either this race or the the risen star where he was out in the fourteen whole what thirteen hall and no one thought he could win in of course. He's he's a special horse. I mean I don't know cassie train them both but I'm not sure he thinks Lynn's mathis is all I mean. War will was in the outside post. There's nothing one of those races and even one he's very special down on the relative On the inside Certainly Sycamore run in Linz Map To me is the race goes through from a most likely winner standpoint You know hope for me. Hopefully with Mr Monti. Moyen their sycamore. On take somebody but SCABBARD Formerly News Fourth in the Breeders Cup juvenile second the Iroquois somewhat wins shy. You could say but he's kept really good company And he is one of only a few in here who had a at least a ninety percent rating and last star and he's the only horse with a pair of ninety plus races under his belt. So I do see him as the fastest. He took a little Against some good horses in that Breeders Cup Race Chase Dennis's moment I'm probably a buyer it at five to two or higher Michael. Oh on a definitely agree I saw a random. His green light goes looks like he's GonNa turn into a much more of a sprinter Although I know he's on the probably on the trail Dennis's moment who was actually mocked for T- hero horses a year and I'll know it took a lot of flak about that but I thought he was very special. You know he ran. Dennis's pretty well and then he really had a really good race in In the juvenile and running fourth. So I think he's the Horse Be. I'm I'm a little curious. Why any keenly? Who's had this in Florida Decided ship over. Take on these I don't know why that is. Maybe because he wants to get back with Corey Landry. I don't think that's the reason but landry jumps off a lens map and gets on Scabbard. Who is written before this horse? Looks like he could develop a definitely as fast enough. He doesn't really have to be any faster. So I'm hoping that this horse goes like seventy four to one. I just think the way these fancy fairgrounds play Spread Cox way. They're gonNA play You Know Lens. Map and Steve asmussen's forces. I think we were. We could look you know maybe four plus one and that would be very good value on the Horse. It's fast as And has beaten some some some nice horses now agreed completely in Jones. Like your more optimistic than even on the price I mean he really sticks out is a brisk net user at one thing. I I will do It's usually for racist like this. There's repeat floating around out. I'll try to sneak a peek at the competition And you know see if they look as good and you know try to try to plan by strategy wagering wise because I mean you know how it is especially as context player. I mean it's it's easy to fall in love when you see a juicy morning line bit. You gotta be willing to adapt when everyone's in on the secret and all of a sudden you're looking at you know three to two instead of four to one or maybe in a contest you wouldn't even be looking at four to one but you know what I mean. Yeah I mean we don't I don't see the morning line yet but now I would. I would think just going from experience. I always think that the morning favorable be Mr marbled okay. Tepid five to two SCABBARD. Maybe like three to one as your second choice and probably you know. Lynn's map at at maybe four or something. I think that's how they'll make the line you know. That's not the way I would make you know the words. I really think I think scabbard looks really really good. He would make him to to one. You know Here against these. He's better it's. It's going to be a pretty strong choice. If the track comes facet been sloppy. You know. I think he's GonNa be up against it just because the fairgrounds try tends to favour horses that are a little bit closer to lead when it when it comes up. Kind of soupy we've We see that mistake ads. There's been a lot of rain this year and again nine for sixteen Early Types An eight of those actually were were gate to wire wins so deft indefinitely Kind of the front end but there is a lot of speed in here. Michael I mean Mr Amount. Perfect star both the types than you have outside speed as well with HSIEH's has number twelve shake shake up oh shade. Yup that's hilarious. Okay And Sycamore run as well. So I mean they're going to have to go from you know in in the outside there's not gonna be a lot of cat and mouse unless you WANNA be four or five wide speed on the inside to know. I mean it is loaded. You know nothing. It's all you think about in your mind the way I can think about racism. Okay how's IT? GonNa show me the first. You know ten seconds in my mind and so there's no question that if it's a will sloppy or not that. Sycamore. On Adam. Bushes is going to try to gun and get over. So who does that affect immediately? In the first you know first few jumps and I think it affects a lot of that. You just mentioned if they can't break as well as he as he did in his last race. Which you know that. That's a pretty strong early referring to the Brits Net. Pp's the early one in early. Two Ninety eight one or two. Those are very fast. So that's just like this horses naturally speedy And he's GONNA WANNA go in. That was on a sloppy track and put more speed into him. Since he's run he's worked for in a bowl at five furlongs in fifty nine three. So they're not joe shoppers. Not Saying Hey you know what? Let's try to try to you. Know dull that speed a little bit gel is kinda going It seems like from the PAP training from the workout powder met. He saying I'm going with this. Horse does best and. I'm going to try to win this on the front end. At least you know on Saturday interesting that he is an Ontario Bread As Halo Again. Who is one of three For Racing Hall of Fame Trainer Steve Asmussen and talked about several of the contenders. And even though Mr Steve has a trio haven't touched on any of them yet and Have to think. Maybe Silver States He he was really. I mean there's to me no reason he should've lost that race Churchill. Maybe it was the SLOP I do think it's a positive that Ricardo sticks with him. I have to think he. He had his choice of the three. Or at least as agent did or maybe Steve Ticket Form But To me that's a positive Maybe some upside here again outside post not most ideal but the pressure be right since the other ones we've talked about should take more money than him no question. I mean I don't I don't think the slop didn't maybe it didn't help but I don't think it really hurt silver and that was a big. Ac Ran last time out. And I wonder you know be interesting to see if he could go back and find races. Where Steve Asmussen has multiple entries? In which one Ricardo Santana has written? I mean I don't have that stat handy but my gut is telling my instinct saying that Ricardo Santana usually lands on the best Asmussen of the bunch so I don't I don't know whether that's true or not. But but he does have a choice. And so he shows us when in that last race was very good I think this is my second. Pick so Nfl sloppy he may even go up to top choice for me. Just because he's proven his guy great breeding for for all tracks. He has proven that he can run over the slop and even though it was at Churchill and not at the fairgrounds. I've found that those two tracks very similar in their off trotman off tracks they horses at handle. Churchill slop can handle fairground spot and that's not always true You know track track but silver state. You know he's done really nothing wrong except lose by noticed corral to another very high on The other thing albums from the point that you said Steve Espy's has three year he. He's just got a a plethora of three zero colts. Just like Brad Cox has seemed like Brad Cox has the three-year-old Filly Division dominated.

"Of variables at the fairgrounds. Well Yeah I think when when they're on the tar and knock on wood that be on the tarp Saturday all the about. The forecast doesn't look great You know they. They play around with the settings of the rail. The fairgrounds At least they did earlier in me. And on the course when the rail is either zero or seven eight six. It's GonNa favor horses that are on the lead so you can play that both way. He can play horses at Ran You know when the rails are out at twenty four that were on the lead and didn't in couldn't get the job done and then play. Those horses may be back when the rails are down or vice versa. You play the closers you know. The didn't run well when the rails were were down but now at the rails up at twenty four those closers you do have an advanced course sometimes can develop a closers bias I'm not really seeing that so much this year it does favor certainly when the rails are out a little bit more closer so those are two little things that you know. Kinda simple that you can not necessarily. Oh my goodness is horse. Ran on the lead in the rails. Were Up at twenty four. He's GonNa win because rails are down but it indefinitely can point to some value and can also tell you you know maybe maybe take a second look at this at this horse. So hopefully we get. We get some racing on Saturday at the weather. Forecast is about as bad as I. Just don't know on that bright well we do have I mean maybe at the very least the stakes day on. There's the krantz memorial which is a route for fillies mares and then the Colonel Bradley Race Eleven which is part of that all states cook for allstate's pick three Ends IN THE LACOB. So maybe the states get to stand as you said. It's a tired of one of the the good things about grounds as they. They draw early days to look at the PP's but the same time with uncertainty in the weather forecast. Sometimes there's a limit to how much you WanNa dig in particularly the turf races. So we'll see what happens but one thing for sure the Lecomte obviously we'll be on the dirt and We we drew field of fourteen. Now see if they all start but pretty interesting race to me. Michael I will say It's amount of sixteen for the first time this year previously had been amount seventy yards We'll see if the the extra yardage what that means but from Sixteen Miles Sixteenth Racist. So far this year nine have been won by early types in the snap. Pp's that's the designated by the the letter e by the Horse's name so certainly Some speedy types able to do well and post eight and beyond our offer have yet to win so To me that's particularly interesting. Because Sycamore Ron. Who absolutely blitzed on in the SLOP? Going six furlong stretches out here. But he's marooned post thirteen and and I think that's I love looking at those of Kind of track profile statistics..

"Of the how to bet horse racing podcast on video today and your normal host Ed de Rosas actually going to be the guest. So Ed's got some strong opinions on the Breeders Cup and we want to get right to them. Now Ed you and I we take in a lot of data every day in our jobs and the Breeders Cup can be a little bit overwhelming so on your on your first pass through these two days of past performances. What really stood out to you I like Tokyo numbers Jim The first is the class rating because we actually have class ratings for a lot of the international runners so really beneficial to see how the class over there. Stacks up to the class here now. Obviously the ARC is a better race than most of our turf races but some of these come from group to group three races and the good ones match up really well with ours or better and sometimes horses. You get a little bit of a reputation. Don't match up as well. And that's an opportunity to bet again so class rating something I look at and then prime power is definitely a must have especially for the dirt races and the thing that struck me is competitive racing this year but not a ton of standouts under now. Obviously we have midnight. Bi-zonal beach you'll get to a race like the sprint. Who has some obvious superstars very competitive group same with the filly and Mare sprint? Coffeen come dancing so handicappers I think are going to have to make some hard decisions about where to lean because one thing you definitely don't want to do in these fields is used the top two choices in every race. You'll go broke right. Well I do want to hear more about some of the specific courses that you like The Post draw on Monday. One of the big story lines was who had drawn the rail that includes the favorites in both of the juvenile dirt. Races Cova Fay who you mentioned How do you think these? These rail draws impact these races. I think on balance most trainers would prefer not the rail. Not because you can't win from there but any indiscretions mistakes that happen or exasperated from the rail. So if you're a front running type and you missed the break. You're out of your element right away. Now if you break on top and cruise like maybe a coffee. They decide to do great. The rail can actually help but the margin for error. I think is a long gated from the rail not necessarily a negative but if it is a negative. It's more of a negative from the rail juvenile races. Not as big a deal. I think the two year olds separate themselves a little more. You get that sort of stretching impact because some two year olds are so clearly better than others and I do. Think that's the case with Dennis's moment I think he's one of the more likely winners on the weekend and the rail did nothing to make me. Think otherwise Just two year old. He's going to be in the first light no matter what happens so unless things go really wrong as it didn't his debut when he threw the Jockey I don't see that as a negative so certainly positives. I think more more than anything overall though. I hope people do that against the rail because I don't think it's that big of an issue. All that Catalina cruiser Kofi I'd say or the to have the most to lose just because in a sprint. There's less time to to make up and be tactical so those are the two hurt the most but even for them. It's not as big an issue for me right. I agree with that Listening to you break down the classic with Joe Christopher a few minutes ago it was very apparent that you're against some of the biggest names on the card Omaha Beach Mackenzie Midnight Zoo Those are the superstars. So tell us why you're against The biggest stars on the Breeders Cup days. Well I'll start with Omaha beach because this horse's reputation is as if he split the atom. While certainly I respect that. He's won multiple grade one races. He's one of the few three year old males this year to do so. I cannot play him at a short price in grade. One second off a layoff after after the number he put up in the breeders. Excuse me in the The six Furlong race the sprint championship too fast too soon. Richard Mandela's one of the best ever but it short price. I just have too many questions. Aken you replicate that effort be. How does the to turn mile suit? What he wants to do was going to be the favorite in the Kentucky Derby. He just happened to be fast enough in the Breeders Cup. Excuse me in the Sprint Championship at Santa Anita. The dirt miles a totally different ballgame. I have too many questions that are short price. Jim and the field isn't all that deep. Admittedly I do think they pick the soft spot of the three they were leaning to. That just means he's going to be the shortest price of the three spots as well. So I'm against a lot of hype for a for a horse way by exactly chance. Lots one of the horses to beat in the sprint. But yeah it's just too much hype so tell me what you do with these horses when you when you're against a heavy favourite on a day like the Breeders Cup. That's an opportunity to win a lot of money so way to go about it. Well for me Especially looking ahead to the classic where against Mackenzie the race before as the turf and I do like bricks and mortar He's a horse. Who after that Pegasus Turf Cup? I thought he could be any kind. And then I guess he lost some luster because he only beat a horse by a nose fairgrounds. But as far as I'm concerned you've had off the grade one races he has this year. You deserve to be the favourite and the turf. He is But he's a favorite. I'm not trying to be so I'M GONNA lean on him and try to go as deep as I can in the classic and same with The race before which is the distaff who I'm against midnight two so I'm against two favorites and use my single and then it doesn't matter who wins the other two as long as it's not the favorite. Omaha beach is a little different earlier on the car but sister. Charlie is a horse. I am very much for So she's one I'm GonNa Lean on and we've seen the dirt mile produce some big big numbers now granted horses like Gold Incense and Liam's map one at short prices but Dakota phone wanted a big price at Churchill So it has produced some prices and if you beat Omaha Beach House now all year long. You've been talking about sister Charlie. Tell us a little bit more about why. She's one of the favorites that you actually are bullish on. Yeah I wish magical. We're still in the race because she could've added some price to sister. Charlie think we could've got two to one now. We're looking at even money at best. Maybe even odds-on so it's it's pretty Important to me to find some prices around her so beating a horse like Omaha beach would help But I do think. She's the most likely winner of any Breeders Cup race. She's just one of those. I'm not a big replay guy. I know and I'm looking at when I'm looking at a horse. I leave that to the experts but I do think I've seen enough racist Jim. I know the extremes know when something looks really bad no one something really good and when I was there on million day when she won the Beverly d. She looked as good as a horse could possibly law granted. She was the best horse in the race. But she took it to another level in my mind and I think she special and I go back to how a handicapped the Diana earlier this year when she faced rushing. Faw faced a few others. My handicapping thought was if I'm going to pick this horse to be enable or winks. I'm going to pick her to win an American race. And there's no enabler winks here in the Breeders Cup. I'm sticking with her. Well there you have some very strong opinions to work with Now we just have to figure out how to make money with them some final thoughts on managing your bank roll over these two days and how to make the most out of these strong opinions. I think Breeders Cup Day is a day where whatever your strong opinions are whether it's four horse or against the Horse and we've talked about both ends of the spectrum here That's where you need to put most of your capital so if there's a happens to be a sequence where you don't have any of those opinions it's okay to lay off. The money is so good when you connect Breeders Cup that you don't want to not be able to use an eighth or ninth choice with a sister Charlie that you give any sort of chance to because Oh I played the pick three yesterday and turf races. I knew nothing about you. Know Two year olds coming over from Europe so to me it's all about being judicious and making sure if your opinion comes in That you cash. Thanks for these opinions. Thanks to you for dropping in on the how to bet horse racing podcast and good luck at Santa Anita..

The Federal Reserve did decide to lower its key each short-term interest rate just shy of two percent to give a little boost to the economy but it's a committee decision which was not unanimous and there's debate over. How much is this little shove might help marketplace's. Nancy Marshall Genzer was at the Fed briefing yesterday Nancy a divided vote. Yeah David there were three dissents yesterday day on the fomc fed committee that sets interest rates to the dissenters thought interest rates should stay the same one wanted to lower them even more more so why did cutting rates when the day well the Fed says it wants to shore up the US economy in the wake of global economic slowdown it also cited low inflation inflation and the uncertainty caused by the trade wars but there's debate about how much lower rates will help if uncertainty and not at interest rates is what's holding back borrowing that chair. Jerome Powell was asked about that yesterday lower interest rates will reduce interest burden for borrowers worse so that that interests sensitive things like housing durable goods and other things like that cars it supports purchases of those and David. Is Pao how if the Fed was creating a debt bubble that would make it harder to weather the next recession. He said consumers aren't taking on too much debt so they'll be fine but he does have his eye on businesses because too much corporate debt can actually make recessions worse. Nancy Marshall Genzer. Thank thank you checking markets. The footsie stock index in London is up six tenths percent but dow futures here down two tenths percent the S. and P. future down three tenths percent were watching the wholesale all sale price of oil after the weekend attacks in Saudi Arabia and historic spike upward to start the week prices then drifted down for a few days but they're up sharply today. Crews is up three percent in Europe up more than two percent in New York now despite talks between the United Auto Workers and General Motors yesterday the strike is still on day four for marketplace's. Tracey Samuelson has been spending time outside Saint Louis site of a GM assembly plant with forty five hundred strikers healthcare is a hot topic after GM stopped opt paying for it during the strike Tracy. This was a surprise yeah. The union says this came without warning and it leaves its members and their families at risk of being suddenly uninsured union in is going to pick up coverage from General Motors perspective. This is just one of the obligations that shifts to the Union during a strike the same way the Union will pick up strike pay for workers. They'll cover benefits but is this typical for a company to stop paying for say healthcare benefits during a strike yeah. I had that question too so I called up Henry Cats.
