Us all. this is your hustle is available everywhere. Books and audiobooks are sold and so you sell the the evidence bags this is now is this only is your is only available in california were available everywhere currently right now just california where a family business where independent company. We have never taken on big money. We had help from a family friend family friends when we purchase a prison because we have to move very fast and so we have. We have partners on that side but in terms of our our our brands and everything permits and in real estate now and different kinds of divisions of ocean grown extracts. But california you. We've kept it in california just because we we don't wanna lose control of this yet. We're we're we want to get it right here. This a very challenging market california. The taxes are astronomical that the number of stores are now limited. it's very very competitive And it's tough for us. You know in fact that the price of flour has now come down incredibly on the wholesale market. It's going to be very sad to see but many Small farmers are gonna go away and some of the independent people who who got us here to this industry are not going to be able to participate as well black brown or white in that in that sense. So it's just you know it's very interesting. Developing industry right now with many challenges and things that need to be corrected. To that point. There are pros and cons of decriminalization. I was speaking with a friend. I hadn't seen while she has a thriving business in washington. Dc dan and she even sits on a couple of national board. You probably know her. Linda green but of course in dc is medicinal right But even in that regard the things that they have to do now in commerce and all the regulations they're still a level of competition. She was saying on the street because people still able to get it on the street and it's not enforced as crime and so which is which is a good thing but the bad part about it is those who are private business. I having trouble competing even when it comes to the medicinal so to your point. I mean there still things that have to be were never should have gotten to this point anyway never have even cracked been this way but you mentioned that you created jobs talked to about that the jobs you created and and how and what are those jobs. Those jobs can mean anything they could mean We have a kitchen where we make. Gumy's you know i. It's almost like really walk in the chocolate factory. You walk in and everybody's you know stirring pots and putting molds in. I mean there's a process in terms of opperations. I don't play a part in that. Thank god we. We wouldn't exist. If i was put in charge of that. I'm just the music streak. It you know they barely able to sign on here with you Say that i wouldn't even say about it. I mean it's good man you good enough. People do. People got me covered this but he had. They're plenty of jobs there. My sister runs operations and she. She's incredible you know where family business i should mention. My sister is a ceo where a woman run company. My brother is really the one who got us here. He was my brother was operating under to fifteen so the medicinal proposition. Two fifteen and my my brother was an indoor grower but he also provided medicine to to cancer patients to people that were ill that that that needed cannabis in anita. Thc and so he he. He had a pot on the kettle on he would extract and he again. He was one of the very early ones to figure that out. But that that there are healing properties that he could be providing and he did my sister Provide was preschool owner. She owned preschools in in neighborhoods in in in in that maybe the preschools weren't providing the best nutrition safety education. And and so she. She received the grant and she provided really high quality childcare to low income areas and so with due in doing that she to become state licensed and that is a big part. You mentioned you know the people in dc having to compete just getting licensed a lot of this you know when you think of even social equity and and some of the conversations that are happening right now the education and just the the the the barriers to entry are extremely tough to take to get in and get into be legit right. My sister was familiar with that through dealing with the state And her preschools so she essentially just turned to. She was afraid. We were afraid that my brother kelly was going to get his door kicked in and become one of those forty thousand So that's how we got into this as my sister was really just there to protect kelly So we are you know my my brother and sister and i are are the ones Behind this company you mentioned damian. Marley came on early. I've been. I've been managing damian marley for seventeen or eighteen years partner of his many businesses. But this manager but that's us. Yeah that's our story that we got her. That's amazing more after this message from colson. "You know something somewhere was looking for a a lot of times but So i wanted to hit on this rule that you found for yourself that you're able to just kind of Have kind of this alternative education. You wanna share with school. Big bit right and i wouldn't even know look for. Yes so this is prescott college in arizona. I literally this. I found this college. Because i was with a friend who was looking up conservatories or something and his book fell off the into my hands literally fell off into my hands when she was looking at other things in. It said how would make a difference in the world's college guide and i was like. Oh my god they have this. You know kind of it was one of those things and it was in there. And i this place with amazing because they let you write your own degree plan you write a contract for what you wanna learn every class and you hand that into your teacher. So you're saying this is what i want to get out of your class and then your teacher looks at it and goes pretty good or no imminent. Actually be teaching. How do you feel about that. So you're entering into a contract a conscious contract every time with your teacher. Every class had twelve students are less every headed an experiential option. So if you're learning how to teach you spend over half that time in the classroom teaching. So i had like four years of teaching. More than average bachelor's degree in education would have because of the way they did it at the school There were i mean i take. African inspired dance are all these different courses that were offered. I took a course called environmental perspective on whitewater rafting. That was my spirit of water. I was like. I'm facing my fear water. I am going to go. Whitewater rafting brick thirty straight days and it was awesome by the end of it. I was captaining rapids. So it was like okay. We're gonna do this so it. Just there wasn't a second of that of my education that i regret. There's so many people back in there like what a waste of time. College was and i did not feel that way like i joyfully. Pay off my student loans. Because it's because it was. Every second that i was there was unfolding. There was a there is a spiritual element of emotional element mental element in academic element to every course and it was a life changer. It was an absolute life changing. I can't say enough about that. Place is awesome. Yeah sounds awesome that you were able to find something like that again. All your bliss for lack of better term off and on stepping into something things kept showing up for you that you were able to do that right on. I mean being able to skills and spiritual living double minor music. Right like i mean. Just it's all who you already were earns like. Oh here's a place where i can continue that versus like well. Bears' Andy Dalton: Looking Over Shoulder at Justin Fields Worst Thing to Do

"It's all anyone has been talking about. Andy dalton the biz. Qb one starting. Sunday night against aaron donald and the ranch yesterday dalton addressed his mindset heading into this season with the rookie justin fields waiting in the wings. That's the worst thing you can do is look over your shoulder and so i think that's understanding that is is key about tuning out the stuff that you don't need to focus on and knowing where you need to put your time and effort and all that kind of stuff. I think that's just where i'm at and you don't worry about all the the all the stuff i wish you all could have heard that as he was talking. Bart scott was laughing aloud. What was so funny about that image. Mike land steve is blowing in the back of an ear. Yeah yeah. I just feel like you're gonna turn around and go fill me right. We all know elephant in the room. "You make yesterday And that was basically sort of. Did this thing here. Because i made the comment that if justin fields isn't ready to start we won again if he's ready to start then by all means he should start again if he isn't ready to start raghu he shouldn't be the backup. They put him out there. The era of justin fields shouldn't start because andy dalton twists his ankle. Nick foles is on the roster. If andy dalton gets hurt by aaron donald they should go to. Nick foles next. What do you think. I think you should stop dreaming in line to people. And here's the thing. So this is what i actually yesterday is. Justin feels that third string quarterback that you traded away all this stuff like him not this is. Why don't understand not being rigged because you go with andy dalton and to your point if andy. Don't get injured in you bring in nick. Foles you telling everybody that justin feels. It's basically your practice squad quarterback shane moment. That's what he is if not all care about the moment. I care about winning games. But he's not ready to win. Games games should be starting in matt. Nagy he rented a wing game. Well that would be. The bottom line is telling us he can't jeff darlington. Is there anything else we need to know. I just love greedy. What you're doing right here. And he's playing the attorney. He's stoking the fire. he's trying to smoke out the truth right now. He knows that justin fields is ready to be in that game and he wants me to sit here and say that there is a behind the scenes.

"You. Tom brady is he going to throw more. or less. Than thirty seven touchdown passes this season more and and not even close. I think he gets close to fifty. Think about oj. Howard come back. You've got break grown now. Think about all the wide receivers antonio brown is going to be in the in the With the team for the entire season. Obviously know about evans and godwin. This team is going to be lights out. Throwing the ball around thirty seven is low. In my opinion he's going over that greeny. All right jeff darlington. Let's talk about touchdowns for gronk and antonio brown more or less than thirteen combined for the two of them. I mean combined absolutely more than thirteen. That's a no brainer. right now. These guys are gonna come out with the type of chemistry that they left off at the end of last season. Antonio brown and tom brady had not yet had the opportunity to create the chemistry. They believe that can these two guys are gonna come back with vengeance this year believe absolutely more than thirteen. Abc might get more than thirteen and then a little bit on top drunk. now i'd invest swank new. Just how good is this team going to be more or less. Twelve wins again. Seventeen games four wins continuity jeff alluded to how these guys start to come along. They won eight straight games down the street at the end of understand who they are they. We watched them go through a process of figuring out who they work throughout the rest of the season last year. Now they understand that fully and the unfortunate part is only eleven even swag goo the bucks.

Cyclist Craig Dalton Describes How He Got Into to BMX

"How did bmx bikes. Turn into something more for you. What was the. What was the next piece of this for me. Part of the challenge was i moved away from illinois. Move back to these. Two new jersey and my group of friends was entering high school at that point. Bmx just wasn't a thing. At that point. I transitioned more into writing for Purpose going to and from school. But a a seminal point in my cycling upbringing was really around my junior year of high school. My dad agreed to take me and two friends. On a at this point he called a bike packing trip through upstate. Vermont and upstate new york and vermont. And i don't know why he thought this was a good idea but he took us out there and i remember the funny story. I remember the first day i had won. A hand-me-down racing bike of his to ride. My friends had cobbled together with some advice from my dad. Decently capable dropped bar. Touring bikes and my dad. Were setting up and begging for equipment. That has two small front panners. That's it and he's packing them up. And my friends. And i have the rear rack. The big panthers were trying to strap things to the caboose. My dad's like looking at us like you want to pairs of shorts to shirts and a pair of sandals full. Stop at of course. We tried to try to edit back down but we ended up having a lot more gear than my dad did. And i remember starting that first day i unlike my other two friends. I did have a pair of cycling shorts but of course i wore a pair of cutoff shorts on top of it because fashion. We'd want that embarrassment fashion fashion. Yes but fortunately for having the cycling shorts underneath i was able to swap out like name probably half an hour into the first day. I said embarrassment be gone like my friend.

"To Andy Dalton. So Andy Dalton did meet the media today. And when I saw this clip on Twitter, just the the words of it, I go. Is this actually something that Andy Dalton said. Not that it's crazy, but for him to say that it's his time. His time is now Andy Dalton's not Spring chicken anymore. Andy Dalton has been the year the league for a very long time, and I go let me wait to hear the audio to make sure that this is authentic and legit. And eventually the audio did surface about 20 minutes after I did read the words that were put out there and then they did get the audio and the video of all that stuff out there. So let's hear this is Andy Dalton from earlier today who says he's excited for Justin Fields. But this is my time. I know who I am. I know who I was created to be. I know. Um, we're my identity lies and so, um I want the fans behind me and this team and all that kind of stuff. Yes, I want them behind Justin. Absolutely. I do. Um But That's not my focus. I can't focus on all that right now. Um, like I said, before Justin's going to have his time and Justin is going to have a great career. But right now it's my time. And so my focus is on being the best player I can be for this team and do everything I came to help his team win. Now, Here's my question to Andy Dalton. There's something crazy with what he said there. But how long is it going to be your time?

"Seahawks are waiting for jamal adams to sign a new contract. Offer there waiting for him to sign it. Sounds like is a final. Yeah this is hot news because this is a pure standoff right now. I'm told jamal. Jamal adams has conviction. He believes in what he's worth. He's got a number in mind. Whatever that is. He is clinging to it. it has to do with guarantees and structure and there are a lot of things with the contract that they have to work out so seattle has tried to get into this to the finish. Line there well. Above what the market is for the top highest paid safety. So they're willing to go so far. But i'm they're not budging. Adams is not budging and this could get very interesting because seattle stuck businesswise unless they get jamal adams deal done. They're going to have some hard times. Getting any sort of free agency moves done on the side. They gotta sign left. Tackle dwayne brown who's also holding in. He's not so everything sorta hinges on them. Getting past this hurdle. They can't seem to do it. This lingers this way down the team a little bit and have an after effect. It's it's only hot news to me jerry. Because it's a new york jets thing other than that. It's not news because they will get the deal done. That's the thing they've already extended a contract offer. It just may take some time in terms of language things of that nature. They're not gonna go into the season without having their guy that they traded to number one for that changed the defense around once he got houston custom to doing it Pete carroll's way. They're not gonna do that. They know how important it is. This year for. Russell wilson and the rest of those guys dwayne brown all of them. It's gonna get done but again it's only hot news to new york jet fans that hate jamaa adams. Play looking at me and my problem anymore. It's not news. It's not news just because we're said this deal is going to get done now. I mean you talk about the offers on the table there waiting for him to sign. Well we're gonna keep on waiting until the signs and by the way he's going to make a move. That's why we saw aaron rodgers right. Green bay said okay. We're going to figure it out. We're gonna make it work. Seattle needs jamal adams on the field week one to successful and try to make a super bowl run so this is not news. It's gonna it's gonna get down. It's going to happen. I think the bigger issue though that some people don't talk about is seattle. Put people put news out there saying. Oh the biggest contract ever and all these. But where's the guarantees at right. Give me all this. Money's not guarantee i don't wanna talk about it. Get the guarantees up. Make the man happy not news..

I'm assuming he stays right. Okay assuming there you go. The odds are actually in favor of the missing. The playoffs at caesar's No is minus one eighty. Yes plus one fifty. I want you. They want you to take that. I don't even know what that means. Neither do our our response. I'll just echo everything. He said everything he said. Take take take it kawai. Jason williams are basketball expert. Jay will okay jay. Will i like to call him. Jason that the clippers are going to be the clippers. And they're going to be the clippers again. Period is just the clippers. I'll give a damn if lebron james is going. It'd be the clippers. If lebron and a switch uniforms. It's still be the clippers clippers periods. The clippers grew up on though. It's a much different franchises. Well now they've got no further than they've ever gone before they'll give you that. It's the clipper and they just signed a guy to a four year jail where he's going to probably miss most of next season with an acl and knowing that he's got the injury he's already been a guy the heavy load manage more load management to come and then everyone everybody's getting better. Yes and getting better and young talent. All around the wesley. Yes but i was still signed him. I would still outsiders. Yeah for sure evan. All right take it or shake guys brought to you by. Here's the last one field of dreams game take it or shake the game or the place all of it. Every atmosphere the ending take cool. I take at this steak house last night. i'm sitting in in puji outlets could named it. He could've named it working anyway. I was out last night. And i'm sitting here. And i'm watching the patriots on one and the yankees up another and i'm like okay. I didn't care originally in the beginning of all these like whatever. I don't care but in watching the scenic shots in the sky cam and i'm like oh this is pretty cool. Yeah the timing of it to the. When they started the game it was dusk. You had the orange yellow sky like it felt like a movie the way it looked. Everything looked great. It was it did also have a little feel like. Hey i'm at epcot. I'm pretending to be in japan or pretending to be in germany. By the way they built the field but the whole setup. Yeah it was cooling. Let's keep this in mind though. The nhl did this with the outdoor game right with the winter. Classic where the play outside in stadiums and they try to make it feel like you're playing on a on a lake on upon the lake tahoe and it looks cool this game. Of course what made it was just that it. Visually look nice but the game was something ending the home runs. The comeback runs scored a lot about it. And then the walk-off everything about it felt like this was awesome. Don't expect this every year. i expect. Baseball is going to do this now. Every year you'll get the red sox. The dodgers will probably come in and play all these markets even noticed. But i'm saying even though this is the movie and all. That stuff was around the socks. Yes you you think. Because i asked that question last night is just gonna be dedicated to the socks. And whoever their opponents are or kind of rotate disembarking a rotate. Now he's the first one should be the movie teams the yankees. The white sox shoeless joe. Who grandma somebody else. That i wasn't. What's what's supposed to be the yankees right. Wasn't supposed to be the socks and i feel like colorado or something like that i don't i don't want somebody else. I felt the watching you. And i said to myself and i'm not that type of do but i felt like i like to do that. One time just go. And then i started thinking. What hotel am i gonna stay in like. Where's the hotel that'll come next. If this becomes an annual thing and they'll used ballpark they built it for a reason. They'll they'll do a lot more than you'll probably get some college games i do. Yeah it'd be a part of them run around the corn maize. You hear a couple of. The yankee pitchers got lost in the corner. Seattle be scared of that negative part. Yes so the cool thing about the beginning. And if you saw the intros kevin costner. Who's in the movie. Obviously in the movies is the players. Come out of the corn stalks. Okay and suddenly appear on the field. And there's kevin costner and so yes and they have. The music plays very dramatic and so the players are coming out and each up to kevin costume shaking hands. And i was wondering if you're kevin costner you like four or five covert issues like an elbow something like your him. Are you thinking that torn..

Gordon Chang Explains China's Massive Belt and Road Initiative

"Or tributary nations. That will be simply vassals. Is that an over-simplification. How does one belt one road work. What is the global vision for china as it looks at the world coming up to the hundred anniversary of the communist revolution the belton road initiative as it's now called is really started out. As to initiatives there was a belt and these were announced the in september two thousand thirteen there was a belt which was to connect the east coast of china to europe and it was a road which was a water route connecting both locations east coast of china and europe since then Dalton road has been extended around the world and they've added the digital silk road which started out life in two thousand fifteen or so as a separate plan but was incorporated into belt road so belton road is really an attempt to build the infrastructure to tie the world to china now. This gets a little bit complicated. I've never really been too worried about belton road largely because i've tracks long hong kong. I didn't do infrastructure work but my firm did and i can tell you that. All of the economically justifiable projects in the world were being handled by the private sector. What china's doing is building the infrastructure. That nobody else wanted to. Yeah and so and subsidizing it been below market rates. Yes there is a danger. Though and that is we have seen What's called dead trapped diplomacy because these projects are not economically justifiable for the most part but what china has been able to do was to uses position as a creditor to take over control of facilities so for instance it took control of hambantota which is important sri lanka. We know that china has used. Its colombo international container terminal also sri lanka For military purposes djibouti china's really offshore military installation is in a country that has a debt to china that is probably an excess of one hundred percent of its gross domestic product. So that's no coincidence. But the reason why. I've get really worried about belton. Road is because of the bahamas. Yes in the bahamas. Hong kong firm is pouring something like three billion. Maybe a little bit more into the freeport container port. It's also there's a

How the Nose Knows

"Think about your favourite smells. I love vanilla and cinnamon or men rosemary stuff. That smells good. Fresh maybe delicious. I just love anything that smells like grapefruit or one of my favorite sense is eucalyptus. All my favorite smile is lavender but favorite smells tend to be part of a bigger picture of things and people. We care about fond memories. So maybe you love the smell of fresh tar because it reminds you of the freshly tarred and perfectly smooth street where you and your childhood friends went rollerblading. Especially in the summer when it's really hot in the sun is just like boiling that street. You would smell the tar. I like the smell of firewood. And anything hosted like s'mores tiki torches. Those smells remind me of situations where i'm around. Good company or the smell of freshly cut grass. Brings you back to your first job mowing lawns with simple. Satisfying wendy's outside smell is a powerful trigger for memories like being in my grandmother's tomato garden in the summertime and remembering her name her perfume but the spell of the tomato leaves us. I would help her. You know we'd and plottings off of the vines so it seemed that smell always held some special meaning for me in terms of a sensory system that added a really interesting dimension to my life. That's pamela dalton and she's turned her appreciation of the sensory system into a lifelong research career. She's an factory scientist. "And another team and their actions. That aren't making a whole lot of sense now. Are the chicago bears and head coach matt nagy because this week matt nagy came out and obviously he's in a win or else win or lose your job type of situation in chicago but nagy came out and essentially committed to andy dalton as a starting quarterback this week which is just bonkers especially when in the nfl draft. You traded a future first round. Pick to go up and take justin fields out of ohio state number eleven overall justin field as your future. Even if matt nagy and gm ryan pace. Aren't there certainly hoping that justin fields shows enough. This year this season not just to save their jobs but to position the bears to go back to the again and maybe win a playoff game and show that there can be some promise with this quarterback in that franchise and i think the justin fields has that ability. I think that when you watch him he can make all the throws. He's won a lot of games at ohio state. He's not your typical state quarterback he committed to penn state transferred to d- committed to penn state rather went to georgia faced a lot of adversity in georgia overcame at ohio state. Okay and at some point switching over to my relationship with the bike. I guess i got introduced to the bike like children fairly early on and in my younger years. I did a little bit of bmx racing. And i've mentioned on the podcasts. Before that i didn't think you thought to favorably of be max because there's a bit of a strange sport to you thought. Strange that you'd want to get all this equipment arrived warm one of a short course. I did a little bit of that and then in high school you made the decision to offer my myself in two friends. A guided bike tour of upstate. New york and vermont. Do you remember that i do you. You're about fifteen years old. Yeah so freshman or sophomore in high school. And i remember that first day i had lycra shorts but i was too embarrassed to wear them and put cutoff sweatpants. Over top of them and within the first ten miles. I realized that i need to get over any bashfulness about wearing and i took those shorts off and i was much happier for al. Yes is the way to go the other funny thing. I remember about that bike tours. That myself and the two other high school kids. We had big rear panthers on our bikes and we were packing everything. We could cram in there and you insisted on buying small front panthers that you re run on the back of the bike and heavily heavily. Editing the amount of gear. You brought remember that. Do you definitely were proven to be right in that strategy and it's funny in in sort of modern conversation in this podcast. We talked to a lot of bike. Packers and i've had my own experience packing at this point and the new generation of bags and gears. They're very capable of carrying everything you need without x. anymore but it is important to edit every time i've been out on a bike packing trip. I sort of remember back to those days of the the sheer penalty. You have for bringing access gear. I can speak to that. When i was my university training with two of the guys. We spent a month routing through france and Easily take just a small saddle by behind the saddle. That was just one. Che one change of clothing. And that's about the way to do it..

"That would be possible but it really is I love what you said. So people I describe it. I tell everybody about it and a lot of people running club house and I would tell them you heard of Louisville. Lullaby Club, maybe heard a lullaby Club. What's that Clubhouse didn't even know what that is. And I said the only way I know how to describe it. It's like this warm hug. It's an audio warm hug, and it's virtual and it's it's just amazing. So tell me about how things have been from you just being in the audience to you putting yourself out breaking through your fear. And what was it like the first time that you submitted to be one of the performers in lullaby Club? So I actually I never was just part of the audience like the first time I went actually had me come and play just back and forth with him on a stage show. I've only experienced being the audience now after like being, you know a part of it and I actually last night. I fell asleep. I feel the power of love my club. I was knocked out and I woke up in the room was over in Iraq. It was it was amazing. So when you so when you got into lullaby club with axle, so how small was it? Then when it just started when you were there because now there's a whole process wage because there's so much demand for people that want to get on that stage. Yeah. I mean in this story, I think it was just really really free-flowing. We kind of just traded back and forth music and you had other artists in their young like it was just it was incredible from the start like you felt the energy and everything that he brought to the space. And yeah, it was just very free-flowing. We just kind of have fun we take requests log Audience like it wasn't the whole the whole system. That's up now. And then as it grew really fast like this whole crew of people just kind of came out and like, you know reached out to him and just said they would not help and it's built into this really beautiful kind of family in collection of people who just really want to help uplift this and make this, you know available for everybody off. One of the things I talk about my book The Law of action. And with a lot of action is momentum. So you decide and you plan and you act and when you do that, it creates a momentum so you decide on a plan you act decide you plan you act and so what I love about this is actual decided he was going to do something he planned and then he took massive inspired action. And when you do that, it creates momentum in fact of life, but it creates momentum in the universe and it can happen very fast where people will come into your world that you never thought would come into your world and opportunity will come into your world that you never thought. So I hear that there's possible Netflix show Spotify. I mean, it's just really growing and growing and growing and it's become its own. It's bigger than axle. It's bigger than its members and it's become a movement. Exactly. I think something really notable about it is like it didn't come from a place of I'm going to create this club lullaby club and we're going to do this and it's going to turn into this and not to like it just came from a place of just honesty and I know like one of those vulnerable moments moments when you just decide like I need this in my life or you just want it for yourself and then it's like people feel that and they feel that genuine feelings. If absolutely all right, so I would love you are going to be released seen a album on April 1st. Ain't no joke. Talia is going to be releasing an album on April 1st, and could you play like something from that? Yeah. It's it's actually just going to be a single. I'm my hopes are four albums and EPs and all that feature, but for my own, you know Manpower right now or woman power right now. As a single is what I can do. Okay rephrase that Talia is going to be releasing the first-ever album with only one song Perfect. All right. There you go. What's it called as the song is called All For You just a little piece about it or off solutely whatever whatever whatever flows for you. Whatever flows for you. Thank you. Awesome. So this song All For You I wrote it and actually record it a year ago, and it was after a friend of mine passed away really suddenly and you know being a musician and Creator like this was the way that I processed and so I end up writing the song I kind of went back and forth on whether I would write it or not and I got to share it with his family and it really brought me closer to him. Family and kind of closer to him after his passing, you know, and I don't know it was just really healing. Healing thing for me and for them and then I think for a lot of other people I've I've shared it with another friend of mine passed away a few months ago and I got to share it with his family. And I think I realized at that point like I need this to be in the world and I need people to have it just kind of Simply like that. Wow. Yeah. So this the same thing is just me and my guitar and Harmony and I I try not to nitpick it and you know do that Creator thing with it where I just get so finicky. So, it's Thursday it is as it is when I recorded it a year ago, that's perfect. Thank you. Thank you. So this is the song All For You. I Will Follow You. I will hold..

"In Dalton, to the beautiful ST Simon's Island and up to the azaleas of Augusta. Between the hedges and all across the peach state. Georgia is always on our minds. Here once again with this week's edition of Georgia on my mind is Lauren Smith. The football season is moving toward a conclusion that there will be balls in play offs are so we hope this week to week with the coronavirus continuing to wreak havoc across the country. Who knows what will happen next? We're expecting today's game to be the end of the regular season. But, alas, Vandy had Kobe issues given the Bulldogs another Open date last weekend. Assuming no further complications. Georgie will conclude its regular season against Vandy next week and Athens reasoning We expected the final home game to be against Georgia Tech. But when the SEC schedule was finalized there on the conference games to be played, this had the final home game set for them. Yes, strange circumstance. Indeed, yes, it will be the final home game unless they're further complications. This means we'll be playing Venable one week before Christmas, something nobody would have ever imagined. Vaccine. How wonderful that will be one that works and one that can get distributed. But with all the frustration of not being able to follow a normal routine and football, we're reminded that we needed vaccine for the help for the country. Our passion for playing an orderly football schedule is subordinated to that. Georgia place to visit this week during a community of 540 men located 32 Miles west of Augusta in McDuffie County hearing has its own zip code. Three await await half eyes this week for these Mulago aficionados, Maryland Rose McNair of Stapleton, Jimmy and Charlie Banks and of Saint Simon's Expensively Albany you access into the five and 10 restaurant in Athens, Bill McKinney, who scored a test down against Missouri in the Orange Bowl on New Year's A 1960. This is long swift from the Georgia sports Network. The SEC taught us that anything is possible. But just when you think you feed it on, you won't believe what happens next. That comebacks or not, the makings of miracles were born out of preparation, perspiration and perseverance..

"Kind of reflect on on playing grant warden agents have to you. Have to reflect. I mean, I, don't know. I see them as as totally. Things you know I think the hero. Is Is. Definitely. Here to stay and were were within it and tack Constantly Finding Different Iterations of it. But yeah. I mean I just I was really happy to be one of probably a select few that have cleaver both teams I am not linked favours at all I think that they are are separate entities and separate families and separate everything and I enjoyed my time fully on events. So that is the most politically correct. What is like it? It's the politicians answer. I truly mean that I I, it's not I love them both and I think for any luck. I'LL MAKE NERD growing up it's probably think thing me sometimes the the comes with incredible character crib line. You're like Oh my God that's the one but you can. You can love them both. Yeah without. The site and even image comics is in there and like I think we're all interested in stories. It doesn't really matter who's WHO's telling. So, I was just happy part of Yeah I agree I love them both and I really do. So it's not a problem for me at all. There's more would bread Dalton in just a moment I am C. Three Po human site organizations and you are listening to sci. Talk. Now back to my conversation with bread tilt the Great imdb listed a movie just my type that urine. Has had come out with assists story on that. Great imdb yeah, yeah, it's a it's a hallmark movie. It's the last one that I have done with them and What's it last December I think shot it and it came out. earlier this year. Yeah Yeah. I don't know how many I don't know how much more I. Want to say on it. It was a hallmark movie. Good experience. Yeah I am looking forward to I think. My next big job in this new landscape that we all entering because I think that there was a you know out of Pre Cova and Post Cova era and I think that that's that's where we're at now and I. Don't know if that's what you mean for the stories we tell how we tell them. I. Don't really know but I'm really interested in finding my clay Senate. I I have some voice over stuff because that's continued. Yeah. Yeah. There's some really nice over projects in the meantime but. I wish I had something big and sparkly new to talk about the the business has been offically shut down for a few months. He has been very strange, very, very strange to say the least in America can only imagine has an actor not having. A stage to act on whether it's an film center anywhere else. I agree it's not. This is a this is a social art form. It's is may complete when it's presented in front of an audience. And so. It's it's it's very special that way. But when everything's shut down, it's also frustrating that way. Because you. See Yeah. There's there's only so many monologues I do to you know. To the Bathroom Mirror. Yeah. So what was your impression when you saw manage tomorrow for the first time? I thought it was so cool. It surprised me from from top to bottom I think that Her mass. So many. So many great things to say about this film. I think the first thing that? Impressed me was the this was a chapter of Superman life that I don't remember being very much explored. If at all in the third iteration I mean they they talk about this is kind of maybe chapter two and usually we kind of get into chapter three, four, five, six, twenty, but chapter to it's kind of an area where he we all know his origin story, we know that he's on these powers and then he is in this period of life where he's figuring it out. He's a new like. interns slash reporter at the Daley clan it I mean this is the first. Steps of adult. Life. What do we do with the these new Opportunities in these new powers that we have, and that's where I feel like we we pick up the story I think professor, super, super interesting because it seems like. A lot of the time we get superman whereas right he's already fully formed and proof and flying and knows how to say buddy and does his role in his position, and if we do get some of the origin story. We get a crash landed on earth taken in by parents and. Has these powers that he has secret and kind of almost told in flashback or something? Yeah. It was cool to see superman kind of stumbling his way a little bit and I thought that was remaining. Absolutely yeah, and also kind of like I WANNA say. PUNK rock version. Of Lois, lane in really that hit the more like Leslie has a lot more attitude in this. Then I remember and I like it I think it works really. Well, it's not just a few clever punch lines here and there I mean she's wearing leather jackets and she's like she's pretty bad at. And so I thought the really interesting take on on those lanes well and I've already had you know a kind of an actor crush on Alexandra Daddario and here she is just not just out of the park. Yeah. Yeah and and Chris Potter brought a real like. Sweetness insincerity to it. That is. I. Thought it was just perfect I thought was great. I thought was great and I thought in there that wasn't like. So in your face with all of the effects and the sounds and the into that I mean I felt like I could really invest in it and it had all of the the the best qualities of kind of I'm GonNa put this quote but old school animation that I love and I think that's just such a beautiful way of telling the story. They've maybe it's because I'm getting old older these days but I I, really do. Think that oftentimes simpler is better that is I think what I appreciate so much about this it was it. It was it allowed the story to tell itself. And it's still delivered on all of that stuff but it didn't feel the need to make like the special effects and the spectacle war important than the the human element of the story Oh. Yeah. You element very easy to this one. We want to thank you for at to talk to you and congratulate you on this role. I. Hope You do more DC animation. Well, I hope so too. They know my number. Special. Thanks to Warner home video and look for Superman Man of tomorrow as I've told you many times get the Combo pack when you can get downloadable content of the film as well. Until next time on SCI FI talk, this is Tony Tomato. Thanks for listening. That man and you're listening to Sifi Tall..

"Biggest questions of what's going on right now. I can't be go scores and not do things that we have to be crush. Adult discretion is advised but seriously kids of all ages are welcome. Even you grown up. Kids come was the island on spotify or wherever you listen to today explained back ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ma so last thing because I really WANNA rank Andy Dalton's worth to the cowboys but I think I think every cowboys fan should hope that antidote does play under the right circumstances in twenty twenty. Obviously you don't want to see him play. You know because something happened to Dak Prescott but I think what you want if you're a cowboys. Fan is further cowboys to lock up the number one seed or to be blowing people out in for Andy to come in because Andy Dalton is on a one year deal. What what you really want is Antidote Dalton to show the rest of the NFL. Hey guess our I've still got it and then come two thousand twenty one. Have somebody say you know what Andy? Want you come be the quarterback for the Jaguars or whatever and then you know you get a two thousand twenty two compensatory pick for him so you know I also. I just remembered while we were talking that when the cowboys interviewed Mike McCarthy they interviewed Marvin Lewis and obviously it wasn't a hundred percent known that Andy Dong would be available back then Granted the Bengals did have the number one pick and everybody kind of knew they were taking Joe Borough but I wonder if if just say shit happened there. Okay what do you think about Andy Don because who would know him better than Marvin Lewis in? I'm I'm sure that there's people that talk. I mean these coaches talk. I mean it's A. It's a small fraternity network and I'm sure that a lot of that went into all this decision making when you know any goal to me seems like a really good. I love the instagram photos or video Kim throwing in the backyard the net. I'm like is that Photoshop. Because he threw like four or five and his his kids like giving them toss and Stony Brook. Look at this point I really. I didn't really follow some online anti-dole because when he was at Tcu yes When the cinncinnati-based you know in this part of the country will we follow the cowboys. But now I mean I I think it's a I think it's a great decision on to bring a man again at a bargain deal and under the circumstances in look. I'M NOT GONNA PUT. I'll I'll I'll use this. Hypothetically what did they tell Andy Gall look? We're going to give you a one year deal. You'RE GONNA get a chance to play 'cause we don't we may not sign all that Prescott so you're going to be the guy. Well I'm just saying hypothetically as you get two or three games on your Bell I look. I'm just I'm trying to you know just throwing stuff against the wall. We won't stuff up in the air and you know the the sky's the limit with this to saying that if you buy into that I can understand that whole situation with Andy Gull. Silt they can be a started in a national football. He goes out there and puts up. Preseason plays an appreciate play maybe two or three games in the regular. I don't know I'm just saying the best case scenario for Andy Dalton for Jerry and Stephen and we'll maclay to sell him. You're may be all at chance to quarterback game. Excuse me as a quarterback and you in ball then you show the world look. I still get skills. I think the I mean. There's clearly among backup quarterbacks. The Path has there's two paths. I think if you're a backup trying to get back to being a starter one is and this is harder to do you go to a team that seemingly has a very questionable starter in hope you know as bad as that sounds that that that player gets benched and the best example is Ryan Tannehill last year. You know kind of banged on the fact that Marcus Mariota wasn't that great you know was patient. Got His opportunity. Made the most of it then got his deal now. He's started for the Tennessee. Titans I think the other route the more common route is the one teddy bridgewater tip goby a backup on a very good a very high profile team that you know gets a lot of national publicity and you know. Get your name back out. There and Teddy Bridgewater was a big. He was one of the most popular players in the NFL last year. Just because of who the New Orleans saints are I mean. I'm not trying to anything from Teddy. The guy went five know when he started for drew. Brees but that boosts your you know your image and whatever you WANNA call it a lot. So if Andy Dalton does you know get a chance in mop up duty or whatever for the cowboys to do it for the cowboys. That's gotTa help and so it's something that we that what we do is put out. There is a scenario. And you know given the circumstances in your we're GONNA WE'RE GONNA take this This look different scenarios. The cowboys may take in advantage that they don't have which I'm for sure they'll one way or the other. Something's going to happen whether the franchise whether sign a long-term building we don't know yet. There's a lot of time but again I think when you look at the situation that they are now I think they were kinda forced not forced but well yeah to to be able to have some security in a backup quarterback and again three million dollars to play back quarterback. Chuck it's okay for Danny goal. Okay so I don't think it's a bad deal. Consider you know he. He got booted out of Cincinnati. Go Different Route. Three million dollars from the cowboys perspective. For the best possible insurance you could have is one hundred percents worth it. Okay so for the purposes of this exercise we're going to assume rightfully so that Andy Dalton. Qb To for the cowboys. So where does he rank for you? He he's the what most important player on the cowboys. I think to start it off. I don't think he's any more valuable than any of your eleven starters which obviously includes Dak Prescott on offense. Or you're eleven starters on defense. I don't think that your backup quarterback is more valuable unless you know you had. Tom Brady backing up. I mean there's that's ridiculous but I don't think that your backup quarterback is more valuable than any of your starters. Do you agree with that? I agree with that now with you. Okay so fifteenth and will will will have Joel. We're talking about right now. I think it's a I think it's a great situation to be in. I think yeah I think under the circumstances I mean I can't. He's not a starter. Backup quarterback and you know that's what we do. We value that. You know the the court of the southern when you don't have We we valued at more than if they actually had. That makes okay so so I to me. It's it hasn't changed my perspective. I think as we go on and time dismay change to one eight share onto one. I think it may be a different. The different circumstances and how they value his his His presence on the show then for now though. He's you know he's not in the top twenty. Two players on the team is twenty hundred or is is You know we still have yet to see who this team swing. Tackles going to be Is is you know Connor McGovern more valuable. I is or if conner's stars are your. Are Your backup. You know. Knicks Offensive Lineman more valuable than your backup quarterback. That's trying to figure out where Andy Dalton's worth is too. I think he's I think he's more valuable for the backups. I think is you mentioned? You have the Levin twenty two starters you have but when I look at the whole you know the the scheme of this team Knowledge you have a quarterback like that and look. It's a hypothetical question. Okay because a lot of things are you know. In the event that there there is a hold out. I mean I think it is an insurance policy for the cowboys. And so his body becomes more important But certainly with other positions on this team. I mean Joe Donna. I think that he is. You know that's a question. Mark at center position there. Because you lose a star like Travis Frederick. That's a question more of a concern so e right now in the value of the of what these what the I mean. I guess you can look as being valuable because the guys got you know. He's got a fill in the shoes of perennial all pro potential hall of Famer. And that's not easy to if we're let's assume JOE loonies starter. So then he's he's more valuable right and Andy Dalton because he's you're starting center hypothetically so like hypothetically on defense are would you say Randy Gregory and or Alden? Smith are more valuable to the two thousand twenty cowboys and Andy Dalton. Assuming that playing there's a lot of assumptions and hypothetical. I understand if you're active player Trindon is back last time. I checked the backup quarterback back this sits over on the sidelines. And you know this is a clip award is has The Europeans on night knows what plays are rancho he needs a non factor the people that are actually contributed whether it's rotational defensive. Line obviously yeah. There's more value. There are Jay without a doubt is Andy Dalton more valuable than Tony Pollard. Who like who between those two players who is more valuable this contribution what he can do as far as special teams on his values running back as far as a one two. Pots with Zeke Well without a doubt he's more valuable it because he's GonNa be. He's can contribute Andy Dalton as a stands right now Dak Prescott. The starting quarterback only value that he has if he gets hurt in. He can't play. And then all of a sudden. You know these everything changes practice. And that's a good chain. That's the interesting exercise from me. Like this is a weird way to put it. I guess but like if you I don't know if you had an amazing car right and you had car insurance but say you didn't have. I don't know I'll put it all. I'll reframe it. You know how like when you buy a new like an IPAD or computer. Whatever and I don't want to buy the insurance for yeah and it's always no. It's always know unless it's like something really really really really care and you're also going to happen. You're going to drop that. So let's call it. Your your computer your your. You can't live without this computer. It's the center of everything you do. And you have the extended warranty for that or you have your IPAD and you. You know your sign has. Ps four whatever and all those other things but those don't have extended warranties so then it becomes a manner of what's more important to you. What do you value more the extended warranty on on your your computer or your IPAD. You know what I mean because I think that that's the that's interesting conundrum for me is what do you what do you value more the the security knowing that you have security for your main thing or your other thing and that's all right. That's why I think Tony Pods an interesting example because to your point if everything goes well obviously Tony. Pires more valuable to the cowboys. Because he's going to contribute way more often than Andy Dalton but Andy Dalton does give you some mental piece that you have that so what do you. What do you value more value for me? I valued I mean. It's an awesome conversation to be Korea. So you know this. All these fans are like okay. Well we got any dulling that wants too much money. So we're we're we're good you know. Let's say it. It's just you know this spontaneous reaction to you know whatever they get caught up in a bid to sign a free agent like golf which they don't they forget about that. Prescott about how much you can contribute. And what he's done on his last four years so you know I value more of the you have. It's like debt man. You have to have a bench attack or death everywhere so you gotta you gotTa value. Dana's plus you quarterback for sure to me or to me wants to say okay. I really value a lot of Andy Dalton because of the situation that Prescott the unknown we all know. Hopefully it's GonNa get done But what happens if he holds out for two years or excuse me for two years for two games? Which I don't think is GonNa Happen but the point and one side's GonNa is going to bed and right now. I think the cowboys Sonnen someone like Andy. Dalton makes it a little easier for them. Not that they have leverage that they'd have security..

"Going down getting down as a whole lot of rhythm going around well done no hello you have the same affinity for that for that group as I do all real quick on A. B. Dalton and I've got a question ask you afterwards I can see it from the cowboys the employee you know Marantz sound like typical delusional cowboy fan all I can see this from the cowboys standpoint for all the reasons that you say and what I don't understand is why doesn't he don't want to go there with Hey dak Prescott is in his prime B. doesn't have a history of injury a soul the chances of you getting to play are very slim when you could have gone to a Jacksonville competed with Gardner Minshew you could have even gone to New England for that matter but to go to Dallas what a young quarterback behind one of the best often supplies early and a guy who really gets injured and I just don't see it from his standpoint so that's what I don't understand as far as that's concerned in the questions I wanted to ask you concerns the NFL and that's this with social distancing in effect and until really very is a vaccine for the call that nineteen someone please explain to me how you have training camp and how you have a season when the nature of football is that you cannot still some distance from one another you're going to have a hundred guys in a training camp in the summer and cold contact in close proximity with each other yes Donna Friesen I I just I don't really see a DA I really don't I hope I'm wrong but I just don't see how you can do it and still maintain social distancing well I thank you for the phone call is a fair question I think that's going to be a burning question for all sports I mean baseball you can play apart from one another and now off but there's gonna be placed the plate there's gonna be a first baseman when you're on base there's going to be second baseman holding you want a third baseman holding on the runners well could have to have somewhat close contact the catcher and the batter in basketball obviously you guard one another and you're in huddles and so you can't do everything from six feet away so that's all kind of the same vagaries but I think what ends up happening is that the teams have to be isolated by themselves and you have to test them a regular release of testing has to become very very very accessible and if you can test your team constantly and make sure that your guys are not carrying coal that nineteen that's what they're hoping that they could have a quarantine the league in quarantine teams that's the hope is that realistic got an element right now they're trying this with the Taiwanese baseball league in the Korean baseball league so they're trying it and you know premier league English premier league soccer's gonna try this in June NASCAR's gonna try this NASCAR you can really be very much more separate but in the garage you know guys have to be together so that's the big question here and hopefully we get to a point where these leaves can figured out that we do have games you know internally at all why you want to go to Dallas I suppose the big part of this is staying close to home since he lives in Dallas in the middle of rotavirus pandemic but aside from that I'm with you aside from him just being comfortable at home I don't really see the value in Dalton step going to Dallas unless you didn't have the starting options that we are hearing reportedly that we think that he might have maybe the patriots weren't interested maybe the Jaguars weren't interested I don't know because it doesn't make much football sense that's for sure makes life sense but not football sense right now we'll continue taking your phone calls on the Dalton dax situation they five five two one two for CBS eight five five two one two.
