"Thanks for tuning into this episode. We're continuing our series of interviews with the candidates for New York City council speaker. This is a race among roughly 7 candidates who will be among the 51 members of the New York City council come January when the new class of council members and the rest of city government is seated. The council members will vote for one of their own to be their legislative leader, the speaker and a position that comes with immense power and a lot of responsibility and again is voted on by the members of the city council, but those candidates for counsel, including my guest today have been making the rounds talking to people in the media appearing on this podcast and also starting to appear in a variety of forums in front of different interest and advocacy groups to talk about their priorities, their plans, how they might lead the council and so on, there are the 51 members of the council, but there's also a lot of other players in the mix from powerful labor unions to members of Congress, the county party leaders. There's the Republican caucus and conference of the city council, which is now growing in light of the recent elections of the city just held there's mayor elect Eric Adams, of course, former speakers of the city council and more lots of people jockeying, lots of influence happening. But there's also really the nuts and bolts of this eternal internal race are relationship building, coalition building and as you've heard if you've listened to any of the other discussions on the podcast here with some of the candidates for city council speaker. The different candidates have different pitches that they've said they're making to their colleagues about why they should be the legislative leader, their vision for how they'd approach the job of speaker and its many responsibilities leading the legislative body. And there's a lot of room for putting your own imprint on the role and the cities. So I've been talking with the candidates for speaker, including my guest today. I'll be joined in just a second by city council member Diana, Ayala, who's a Democrat representing the 8th city council district, a very interesting district that includes east Harlem, but also parts of the south Bronx. It's one of the few council districts that stretches two boroughs, a lot to talk about here with Diana yala in just a second. If you've missed any recent episodes of the podcast, I have been talking, as I said with a number of the candidates for city council speaker about a mix of their government work and their bid to become the speaker, but.

"Our guest today has had a meteoric rise since getting involved in politics. She was first elected as a member of the Virginia House of delegates in 2017, defeating a four term Republican incumbent in her suburban district. Now she is a democratic candidate for lieutenant governor of Virginia in the hotly contested upcoming election on November 2nd. Hala Ayala. Welcome to the suburban women problem. It's an honor to have you. Thank you, thank you so much Amanda for having me. Thank you. Suburban women. I love it. How are you all? Doing great. We're so excited to have you. So I know you're in the homestretch of the campaign and it's the hardest part of the campaign. So how are you holding up? Lots and lots of coffee. Mine is any other challenges we have. Caffeine is the always the go to. This is definitely been a crazy ride. If you had told me two decades ago, I was working at a gas station pregnant with my first child that I would even be a candidate for statewide office. And sharing the stage with the president of the United States Amanda respectfully, I had told you you were nuts, but I'm having a blast traveling across the Commonwealth getting to know Virginia voters and their communities. That's awesome. So let's talk more about this wild journey you've been on. So the Trump presidency bird so many women into political action. You helped organize the women's march and then became a candidate yourself. What made you decide to run for office in 2017 and what has your journey been like? When you watched 2016 in the election of Trump, I don't know what you were doing the day after the election, but I was sort of in fetal position and I was mad as hell. I knew that his election was going to set women back decades. I knew the election for Virginia. We have elections every year. I was president of national organization for women at that time. You wouldn't believe the outpouring to about 400 people showed up to a monthly meeting, right? And this was the most and we were used to 12, though I ended up taking that energy and beat out a four term Republican that same year and became the first Afro Latina and cybersecurity expert to ever be elected to the General Assembly. That's so impressive. I remember driving to the women's march from Ohio and we stopped at this rest stop in the mid, I think so in the middle of Pennsylvania, and we saw the sea of pink hats. I love hearing about, you know, the 400 people now showing to these meetings where you also surprised by the turnout of the women's March. I remember standing by the subway entrance. We were handing out, you know, signs for people. And we had 50,000 signs. Support women elect women, you know, just what you would expect to see at this march and the sea of hats just kept coming. So many people came that day. It was just packed. It was the sea of people. I remember coming home that night exhausted, right? But I felt renewed at the same time just so excited about the energy that we were seeing. I love that you talked about handing out these signs to support women and electing women. And I've read that you cited the documentary misrepresentation as an inspiration to become involved in politics. So I love that documentary and when Trump won, it popped in my head. What about that documentary inspired you to become involved?.

I know one understand so endeavor is again the purpose glare. You'll you wanna be able to help entrepreneurs so under narration helped the whole country as well but you only have twenty eight and this is not an accident. This is not you know this is you need to take a lot of boxes. For you. To even qualify. Can you at least walk us through the typical way. Because i also now you have one program that makes that repairs people through to come in but i talk about the normal way of getting to be an endeavor entrepreneur. How does that work. okay. I'll give you the The five cent version. And then i'll give you the hundred best version okay. Let's do this. The the five version is we say we have an acronym in endeavour where we say in order for you to be in endeavor in the endeavor network and this is to entrepreneurs but it also applies to board members mentors and our staff. Is you have to be three m so island mugunga and very mobile lake island. Mapa be guy right. There's word spirit in you. Love that mel to get more technical right to get more technical we First of all we focus on scale ups nut startups right so we are looking for companies. That are way past. Mvp stage right. We are looking at companies that are in gross mode died. We we want you to be doing about several million dollars of revenue already right by the time you become part of the network and growing fast read growing eighty to one hundred percent year on year. Yup and by the way this is not limited detect. You know i think about sixty five percent me. Maybe even less sixty percent of portfolio forty percent is none deck shot up alario. Yes about low of labor Banana abs arc's yup right. We us sorry. Been a bose. Coffee can have gone off his. You know it right. Yeah right so. Simon baker he saab east into agriculture right Bit violence well is really medical services right. So it's it's a really good. Mix of tech index We bring our candidates through a a selection process that typically takes anywhere from twelve to eighteen months writing number of checkpoints along the way so the first checkpoint. Is you do a one hour meeting with the endeavour staff right. We call that verse opinion review and the format of that. Yes we we tell the entrepreneur to tell the story and then we ask owed much of questions right. once that's done. We then begin to put together a profile and then we will have another five to six one hour. Meetings with members of the endeavor mentor network. And this can be mentors in the philippines or mentors in other parts of the world. Right and ian double world so we go through five to six of these and we begin to formulate a picture of the entrepreneur the business and the timing right because for us those three are very crucial right so the entrepreneur i said has to be three m right. They also have to be approachable right because so much of value comes from the mentor number. We need to make sure that. Easter entrepreneurs just delaying right. They're actually willing to listen addict. Advice we also look forward right and ask ourselves. Are these kinds of people that we want to be role. Models in the eco system. Right so that's looking at the owner. Then be looking this and here we ask. Is there anything innovative about this business. Is it somehow transforming the economy or their industry right any sit serving a big market but because for you to be high em- backed the numbers have to be big right so you can have perfect product market fit. You can have extremely high net promoters stores but you know what if all you have is one hundred extremely happy customers. You know. God bless you. That's great but it's not for endeavor because we need. We need the numbers that we need to have. Make him of me. I'm so we ask ourselves. Is this going to impact lots of people and the last thing we ask is the timing right is this company nearing an inflection. Point by inflection. Point what we mean is while you know there's there is exponential growth staring you in the face you've proven the model. You just need to add you know more capital more talent than the stink and you know you can blow it out of the park. If only you had more people to help you like endeavor. No thanks now. If after all of these one hour meetings we think yup this looks like it could be ever company we will then do something called a local selection panel. We do this four times a year and will typically re companies joined this local selection panel. And you can think about this. Almost like a shark bank except robert stark's it's.

"Guess my first foray into what you might call entrepreneurship. You might even call it magic cheating right because might when when she would be moved ended up working for the world bank and because the world bank is almost like a almost like a diplomatic boasting we were allowed to bring some of our household staff right so we were able to bring a yai and be brought our driver right. That was one of the men in the world bank so in highschool to make money i decided to get a paper route. What is up in the. Us you see these kids on bicycles right with a sack newspapers and end up playing it. So i think i must be a junior right. I was a junior third year needed to make money right. I didn't really have an allowance because You know my mom was a single mom in a working. We didn't really have a lot of excess funds for cy had do make my own money and I i found the speaker paper out in the newspaper right so i was doing that paper out for a couple of months. You problem because you have to do that early. In the morning right. Every day was always late for school. Right in my. I had i have Three be other siblings right and they always complaining that i was the cost of you coming late like i think. I think you might go this. Idea outsourcing right. An outsourcing play. I cut a deal with my driver. I name was alex. I because alex in the long run. I don't have a license to drive in you. Do right so going. But we will split their revenues from this paper wrong so you go and you delivered this in split fifty fifty right and so i get the other fifty kosei. It was my deal nine from that point on. You were able to do this. And i was able to get to school on amazing. That's that's rev. Share ma data very early. Stage outsourcing right. That's amazing now after again college. What what did you take up because again. This is one thing that i love about filipinos that had been educated of had lived in states or canada or summer overseas and they eventually come back. They come back with a lot of ism in a whole new perspective of how things can improve. I wanna understand from your point of view polydor early early career. What was that like. And what are the things that you learned you know when. I graduated from college where i thought i wanted to end up west to be diplomatic right. I thought i wanted to help the world by you. Know helping countries get along better and the of the way to become a diplomat was you had do i get into a profession. That said like the legal profession. Get what was your internationally and then entered the diplomatic or so. I thought hey why not go to law school to become an international lawyer practice for a few years and then become a diplomats weird right so right after college. I ended up working for a blue chip law firm in new york Company called cleary gottlieb scene in hamilton. Right one of the top law firms and it was known for international. That i did for a year and i didn't like it. Just have a maybe. It's the law from itself right so i decided to go somewhere else. I went to another big blue chip internationally. Famous law firm called skadden arps slate hybrid from. I like it was just after years as this is not. I don't think i was designed to be a lawyer. So it's you bundle right. Let somebody else was not for me. And i said when i thought it was what it was. That really got me excited. It was you know combining something that was. You might say intellectually rigorous with something highly creative in in college. I was involved in a lot of place. I was involved with glee club right so there was a part of me that had to be doing something creative sad. Because you know you know where you find that you find that in television so i ended up working for a documentary. Film company based out of new york with a few journalists used to work for. Abc right the network bbc up a problem right was this was an unpaid internship. So i got exposure was great work but it was unbathed so to support myself living in new york. I did legal proof reading at night right. Why a new that. This gig existed. Because i had worked in a law firm and we routinely sent out reams and reams of legal documents for these companies to proofread is so i kind of knew the systems i ended up signing up to be illegal proofreader. So that's how i was able to get into. the media. right was by proof reading at night now. Rope around steinberg's i'm gonna date myself. This was the in a kind of late eighties right. And that and then edsa happened in eighty six by the time you know. I got about nineteen eighty seven. I was thinking working in media right. I really want to make a go out of media. What am i doing here. States right look at what media just accomplished philippines ragged was change the history of a country and by the way the reason i decided to get into media was the emerging idea in my head. What what my life was going to be about was. How do i unleash. A human capital right. How do i help people ambitious potential. And i thought was a good place to do that. Because media can educate media can inform. Nice accent so media. I think is a good place for me to try to make a career. So i went into the philippines in nineteen eighty seven and they end up working in a working for a investigative news program called the probe team. Wrong team chat chala's orion and with maria vesa and i started out. I started out. You know at the bottom of the ladder right. I started out as i remember my salary. You swelled up on you. Laugh by swelled glucose about three thousand vessels about end gus. Those those were interesting days because this is before you had fancied technology so there were no answering machines bartered my booking interviews so abuse where the other person had to be on the other end for you to actually connect tried to do something or if you left you had to be together line for them to connected you anywhere. That experience led do at some point me becoming a segment producer and a segment host. A one point ended up also hosting the eleven o'clock news for abc bien ripe..

"Area ya actually be great. He's hawks on full national emmy for mental. My god my here academia no. I think you're right. I think that would be really great. And he's also goon on fire force. I'm thinking of the way. Oh goon sounds yes but yeah no i. I'm excited about this this whole story. Everybody is related job of bringing this character forward and even if it's not always in the language in the art it feels like it's right now because a lot of the stuff that he's going to. We've gone to other people who are older. Do you have discussions. Besides what you mentioned already about moving forward with this character and making it more in the world degen's e yeah when when i first got to speak. Actually whenever i've spoken to reggie and dennis especially talking about all the things the medically that we wanted to do that was that was one of the things that was really important to make it feel as relevant as possible to right now while still kind of giving it a little bit of timelessness right like people are always obsessed with these evergreen stories. And i think that you can have evergreen stories that are really great. Beatles have very specifically contextual stories. That are really great. And so it's coming out now and like yes. There are a lot of fans that are my age. That wanna buy this book right. Who who is you know. They're all about the cartoon or all about the original comics but that's not our target audience. This is a this is a book for teens right now so it should be something that is relatable to them right now. So yeah like. That's really what we wanted to do and then working with nick i think is is he gives. I'm much older than he gives me that vibrant now energy you know. He's he's in his twenties so he's still he's still much more connected to that kind of feeling deny am so. I take a lot of that from him. we'll also i think it also comes out in his work. I know you're a manga. Anime shan yet maga was your first love definitely his. I love so there. Are these moments especially in the action season stuff. That definitely feel. Have that mon the field. How excited would you the first time you saw the art of he created. Oh i flipped out. I thought that when. I saw his designs that he had just done for fun. Like like like oh this this is perfect. Like this guy gets even. His pinups are dynamic jokes about hector's having electric cars aside right like this kid has electric power. He should feel like that he should feel dynamic in connecticut. And and maybe a little bit all over the place but not too much still. You can still follow. What's going on. But that energy. When i saw his stuff i was like. Oh this is this is perfect. This is the one off the last question that i would give you is. What is the one thing that you wish people would ask you about this book that nobody ever asked you. I wish that we as a team got asked more about why it was important to builds not just virgils character but his family and friends the way we did why we introduced this other character. Darius to me i. I didn't create that character. That was reggie. I had a choice about whether or not he will come forward into the book as opposed to just saying in in the missouri issue and i was like no..

Entrepreneurial journey from that twenty two year old to running this multimillion dollar business today that really spans across all the different chapters that you have all the the community that you've built. I mean i'm so impressed with what you've built so so give us a little bit of that back story. Sure so. I was twenty two years old. A new mom and may adjust moved from miami to north carolina. And i knew that. I wanted to support the family financially rights. You've had just graduated from college at the state. And i remember having that internal dialogue of whether or not you but christopher fulltime daycare or you know trying to find hybrid of the two and i remember being just really <hes>. Filled of anxiety of going to that. Because i didn't want my children to be latchkey kids so i grew out pretty much on my own. My parents both worked until very late. At night i was a child at home or to buy themselves unified dinner. Nfl sleep on their own. And i didn't want to have that for my kids. I remember having friends that have parents that whether they worked fulltime they were home at five o'clock or six o'clock in week dinner <hes>. Or perhaps one of the parents didn't work and they were there as is apparent. During the day. I remember one that i remember like seeing that. Not being jealous that. I remember like wanting that in my life and so when we had chris off to make sure that i had the flexibility to be there i didn't want to have my kids have extreme experience so really being a first generation. Cuban american my parents arrived united states. Nineteen sixty one cuba. The only stories i ever heard growing up were stories of my family coming to the country with a penny in their pocket right not knowing the language of the culture and really creating tremendous amount of wealth because of being an entrepreneur because of small business. And so i happened in the back of my mind theory this entire kind of situation of trying to figure out. How am i going to provide my family. Be a mom and how that ballads and relief for me. The only option was to start a business so at the time. I'm going to tell you the kind of the truth behind it is that i wanted to be a really good. At fitness. i had worked at every house hub in miami in high sworn in college. That was really the only industry that i knew and so i will. I will go ahead and just get my personal training. Certification analogy personal trainer and started small business so i reached out to the sba in with. Carolina is nineteen ninety-four. So before giggle. Before lead gen our media and i reached out and got a counselor at the time and told them what i wanted to do when she was like. Well how much alone you take out. While i need a loan of three thousand dollars you need to buy -cation. I need to go ahead and get business cards out. Place a couple of advertisements and some equipment and she was like three thousand dollars. She's like that's ridiculous credit card and so that was her advice. And i did. I had a discover credit card. They don't i remember they're not partners of ours at all. It was really a straight up. Discover was the only credit card. I had besides a little retail one. And i did it put it on. There was the most nerve wracking putting three thousand dollars on a credit card. I mean we are. We are brand new parents. You know young <hes>. Not knowing really anything about business had never taken a business class. By the way i graduated pre law and i stepped into that and i continue to make every mistake after that <hes>. Found by place did did well with that. Small business <hes>. I was looking for. And then. After that i just continue to watch more and more businesses and about that's really the truth or wise started twenty two. I really am. I had an option at the time. Based on what priorities work right and you wanted to be home with your. You wanted to have support around your kids by and the serial entrepreneur. You mean so what was it. That kept have had the ideas. Keep coming to you. What was the catalyst behind that. Yeah so i think you know <hes>. After personal training company. I did hire on at i got into real estate. My stepfather at the time wanted me to take over his business and he said you know i really need you to work in real estate for a couple of years you can take over my business. I'm ready to retire. So i did that for him and he would say to me and by the way he was an amazing mentor. This guy might my mother's second husband show me the million dollars. He was like thirty years old he no. He sold his bakery here in miami to arnold bakery and then he continued to create tremendous well so he would tell me. Violate your unemployable. Anyone would say that that is the most horrific complement him a great employees. I show up on time. I always delivered you like no. No you're just unemployable. You'll realize that you get older. And it's now about older. That i realized that even though i could work for other people and i was great. I excelled in everything super taipei. The truth was that. I always had to be on my own. I something about how my dna just had that always come back to being a small business owner and then eventually being entrepreneur and different that i do the real estate and then i kinda hired on with another company and kept on growing in that world and finally i was like that's it i need to go back into to go back and create my own business again. Got my pilates. Reputation became applauds instructor and then had a location. They got a bigger location <unk>. Satellite locations but again it just keeps coming back around and around. And it's because at first of all i believe in small business. I believe that that's the way that women specifically can have balance in their life especially when the raising humans or perhaps they have aging parents or other responsibilities.

"As natural knowledge is knowledge of everything that could happen and His free knowledge is knowledge of everything that will happen. God's Middle Knowledge is located in the middle and so Mullin's believe that when God chooses to actualize it is out of the options of his middle knowledge. Say for example got desires a world in which their libertarian free creatures that limits the options of the possible not create since it would limit world. That would be you know that. Would say like determinist would be true. So those would be out. God desires to create libertarian. Lee Free creatures within particular world decrees and then you have is knowledgeable back habit. Would you agree with that Summary Tyler. Yeah Yeah I think that's right. The only caveat that I would add well I haven't had a couple of things that the or things the first one is somewhat of a keithly keithly somewhat confusing for me because that that and have been starting to take that is that That use of natural knowledge Seems to be somewhat of a redefinition Because natural knowledge was was typically God knowledge concerning concerning himself and and necessity straight so It it's it's God's natural knowledge is Natan. His knowledge of his nature took to speak so To to simply go that that you know it it it now becomes his knowledge of what.

"Rush? Who wants to answer that it depends? You'd have to really talk to the eighth. The specific atheist I mean I know some atheists that don't automatically commit it themselves to a sort of metaphysical naturalism In the sense that all that existed purely matter I mean you could be agnostic. In the sense. You can be agnostic in regards due to the nature of reality perhaps there are some immaterial elements to to reality and they can just refrain from making a belief in that regard so it depends who you're talking the at least in my experience. I'd have to be careful not to assume the halls baggage of the person you know claims media atheist. Do you have anything if you put. Though if you push mostly star metaphysics you push the the buttons and you kind of remove under layers of the onion out then. Eventually you'll get to the point where it's like well. Yeah you know I kind of believe we. Now it's mattered motions type deal but it really does depend for. You're talking with Matt. What do you say yeah degree? Yeah when pressed against the wall the layout there view reality and now the knowledge from that. So that's trying to you can't talk about one field without bringing in the other goes. Metaphysics exhibits Symbiotic in that in that way One depends upon the other For intelligibility you WANNA claim regarding this category category so Heavier grounding knowledge from that view of reality and because you're making knowledge claims about that rally so they're they're super cool and symbiotic in that fashion. Now he says this to lay out there at the latter. The reality easy rider says this and this this is good because this shows us why it's important to get two definitions since he says I'm not throwing rocks nor my denigrating anyone for their beliefs. I'm not convinced for the claims. That's all but yet. He made claims that the Bible isn't true right. That's a claim that is something that he he what what what because I made the statement what I meant by throwing rocks. I don't mean that he's trying to be insulting correct. It's easy to throw out the statement through for God or I'm not convinced it's easy to make that statement if the person's not willing to step out and actually will let's examine that and that and that's why I wanted to bring it up. Because what what he did there is he changes it to say. We'll see I'm not I'm not you know denigrating anyone's beliefs chiefs as if that's the meaning of throwing rocks right so it's a it's a change which is exactly what I thought. Tyler did brilliantly in the debate with Eric is to give all the definitions so that really. Okay choose a definition and we'll stick with it right but then that's all. I think he doesn't want to do that. And I think that's that was beautiful. The way that tyler did that was to lay that out because it all comes down to definitions and they don't want they don't want anything they just they just want to keep throwing darts thrown rocks. Whatever you WANNA say to say you're wrong you're wrong you're wrong? You're wrong long but I don't have to defend why you're wrong unless you have the rest who holds two eight theism and just doesn't want to argue about it that's fair. I mean there as his who like. I don't want to argue about it. This is just what I believe. But that's not the atheist we're interacting with when we're directly with youtube atheists or people who are actually engaging you know you are actually remaking claims and so let's interact a little bit you know what I mean. Yeah and this goes back to the the thing I said I. I'm not. I'm not trying to be condescending Aruba but when he says you know I. I'm merely unconvinced by the claim. No you're I I just. I just don't believe you if you're self identifying as an atheist. Listen you're coming in this group and you're saying things that you say. I have a hard time believing that you don't have the positive belief that we either live ever probably live in God less cosmos that that is that reality is God less I just i. I'm so I just I I just maybe maybe I'm Scott. I'm unconvinced by your claim. I laughed I believe in your objectivity I just you know I I give this clause example ice. I could say oh well. I'm just unconvinced by the arguments of Santa Claus. Let's just disingenuous because I positively disbelieve any being such a Santa Claus exists. I think we live in Santa. Santa Less Cosmos Destroy People's worldviews. Right now come on February December's task because they've been the house we'll get we'll get we'll get the LEPRECHAUN allies. Kids are so upset with you right now with everything you know. It's so easy writers. You did that easy saying I never said that I that I don't trust the Bible Unfortunately I couldn't go put his. You know his quote backup there but it's not. I can't go back that far but he so here's thing he's is now saying he never said it yet he said that there's there's no evidence you can quote the Bible until the cows are blue. I don't believe it's true. That was what he had said. He then defended it that he studied it for forty years. And now he's saying I never said that and there's the issue of we. We were never suggesting that quoting the Bible is the way we prove the Bible requoted until the cows turn blue. I mean well. That's not were trying to do is try to prove the Bible by just quoting it We have arguments. We have things that we understand evidence and then those things needs to be hashed out in more detail detail. Okay so all right. So he's he's saying here's he. He's here for conversation. If he was here for a conversation he'd actually come in all right. So Jess Jess asks this question. She she saying Andrew. Can you guys. Can you discuss partial Predator ism almost over so we okay so since the show's almost over Any of you guys WanNa take a shot at at partial predators interests of. I don't know I think we all are some culture. Read on yeah. I got introduced partial tourism through Gary's of ours book last days. Mattis Mattis the obsession of the modern church and that was actually my entrance into apologetic. Because it was actually through Gary Mar.. Okay learned about this guy named Greg Johnson. So we'll the real quick to allow your your end times you would be. I'm a partial prejudice hoogly aligned with Gary Demar nobody of a would you be mill. Would you be see now I leave. I lean towards post. Okay good reason for doing it I sure hope that you're stuck in traffic there. Tyler that your arms are folded. But you you'd be partial printers personal park. Yeah you're so only two hours for him to get home and it's only a five minute. It's only a five mile ride. So you're in times you would be what I'm your meal. I would be premium so we kind of have pre meal mill post mill and yet. We can all hold to. Do you know a a partial view. So the partial view would see that that there was some some of the fulfillment of those prophecies but not all full of full pressurised view would be more problematic because it would say that. Every prophecy that we see in scripture has been completed I think they almost all would say at the in seventy ad at the you the destruction of the temple. that we wouldn't we would disagree with. I think all of us disagree because we all hold to a second coming we. We just would have differing views of whether as millennial kingdom weather's not when the rap shrewd occur if there is one things like that but but notice and this is why I think the question was kind and good. We have three different times us all of us. I don't know where Matt where you're at with your times you. You may not be here because he turned his camera. I think Camilla's I remember. I couldn't remember so but you see the everyone thinks that it's one camper the other and yet partial Predator ism is something I think. Everyone's going to hold to unless they unless they're going to say that there's there's no none of the the Prophecies have been fulfilled yet. And I don't know anyone that hopes to that I think.

"Batali on the receiving end as he played for Brescia. Verona Verona of subsequently being handed a one-match partial stadium closure over the racist abuse. Suffered by Ayala tally in a club. Statement Verona confirmed the supporter in question WHO's the head of the ultras At Verona Luca Castellini. I was given a ban until June thirty at twenty thirty and I'm not going to repeat what Castellini said about Mario Batali but the statements enough for me to warrant a lifetime ban for this guy and you know there was some people talking about the way ballot. Telly reacted when it was all going down. What did he booted the ball? And he talked about that He's I'm reading from this from the Daily Mail. The Italian striker admits he felt he quote had to react and reveals. It hurt three times as much because his young daughter was watching on TV. He said I know that we're not supposed to give these people attention. But we can't just not underline the seriousness of what they're doing either Belly told us to Eleni television. He said if I don't react nothing will happen. You can call me an idiot. I don't mind that but if you call me a n that's it's not done by mistake. That's serious I stopped play because I thought that's it I'd had enough. I say punish those who were guilty and not the whole curva because that is the beauty of football. I never accused the whole city. Idea Verona. Just those few idiots who are responsible. It's unbelievable that here. We are because I remember the last time player booted ball into the stand in that manner. I can remember it was it was for. AC Mellon maybe eight or nine years ago and they were playing lower league team same uncertainly one of their black players was was subject to this abuse and to see it repeat itself is terrible can get out of this. Well there's one. Other guy that I wanted dimension here Verona's manager Ivan Djuric. Who basically instead of reacting the way that like you would hope the opposing manager would in a situation in like this and show some contrition instead? This is like Sadly it feels like this is the playbook that it nope didn't happen when they go straight to that And it's I don't know it. Just it just sheds this light this like sadly consistent light upon on the way these issues are handled in that league. Yes you're just waiting for someone like of note somebody of prominence to step forward and just like like the Italian government maybe well. Yeah Yeah because I saved this last week came up on my phone from the BBC. And I saved it Because then you this was going to happen again and I just thought look at the reaction to this versus the reaction to racism in Syria. To Italian footballers have being given one-match bans for drum roll. Please blasphemy during series matches. Salo's Francesco Imaginary paramore's Matteo scored Allah were shown on television making blasphemous remarks in separate incidents. There is a strict ban on taking God's name him and Van in Italy of the nation's Football Association has discipline players her doing so. Since twenty ten almost a decade Houdini and as a midfielder Orlando Mandra was banned for the offense in two thousand eighteen. And according to not the government's room but rules but the Italian f.a.s.t rules players who wear t shirts with personal messages to their family or which make reference to their religious beliefs will also be punished so this is this. This is possible the Italian government can get involved. But there's no will to do wish none whatsoever like the idea. Blasphemy man who may or may not exist depending on what you believe in. That's fine in the sky. Gets all the respect. You'll get a match bat instantly for blasphemy for saying. Oh Oh God or something of that nature but your fellow human being but your fellow human being that has a beating heart and blood and nervous system and thoughts and feelings is and family and future and hopes and dreams. He gets on the long finger. There's protocol that has to be followed. Whatever the hell that means for that guy but for man in the sky no problem no problem so that is just another window into society when the Italian government can can interject into into Italian football and band for saying God but racism? It's a tricky not one. How are we gonNA come on? It's ridiculous and it's all about power structures and the will to actually tackle this
