"Here's Andy on with T K B. If you read Andrew Bag early, the athletic on all things giants or if you listen to bags during his frequent appearances, they're all can be our during Giants season as he is our can be our insider, you know? Of Andrew Bagger Lee's intelligence. And also know that Andrew Bagger Lee's intelligence is why he was a three time champion on jeopardy. And if I'm remembering correctly, in the words of Alex Trebek, Andrew Bag early, our next guest Solid. Three times champion Andrew Bagby. Joining us on the guest line here in the Tolbert Kruger and Brooks Show bags. How you doing, my man? Now? You know, there are all kinds of intelligence I could. It takes me three hours to put together a piece of idea furniture. I don't play a musical instrument. I'm bad with languages. I can't fix my car. But I can darn well tell you that lovely on is the capital of Slovenia. And that is worth something in a very narrow space. And that's the jeopardy set. So yeah, I'm doing good. How are you? I'm doing fine. Here's why I respect you. I have a lot of dumb stuff in my head. I can't get it out. But you were able to weaponize all of that information you have in your head. And actually become a jeopardy champion. Make it a little bit of scratch off of it. And you got compliments from Alex Trebek. That's that's why rock with you because you were able to do something with all this extra extra knowledge in your head. That's impressive. Me. I'm just a guy sitting on his couch with a bunch of, you know, facts and figures floating around in his head. I respect you for that. Well, thank you. I appreciate that. But it is one of those things where you never know where some random piece of information is going to help you and and I mean, I got so lucky I really did to win three shows back in 2012 and and take home a little bit of money. But you know the biggest thing, the biggest takeaways what you said when Alex introduced me to the champion and he said That I was, you know, a solid champion. I'm like this is worth more than whatever amount of money I happen to take home. I mean, you know, having that sort of little bit of validation or acceptance or whatever you want to call it. I mean, Alex is almost like everyone's dad. You know, you have so few Shared experiences in immediate nowadays, there's a billion channels and places in the end to go. But you have Super Bowl. You got jeopardy. You got maybe two or three other things that we all kind of gather around and get You know tens of millions of people watching every day And so I think that this is why Alex is passing, really hit home for a lot of people certainly hit home for me, and I'm just so grateful that I got the chance to have a brief interaction with them. And and it was a cz positive as it wass. Let's not forget about Alex Trebek High rollers also had to roll the dice and then use a dice to film the board. Let's not forget about that. I like about you, Maura than just jeopardy, but obviously he was. Would you consider him the greatest game show host of all time? Even though I said my personal favorites, Gene Rayburn. Was a match game. I just loved loose it Wass, and they're a little risque, and you didn't really get a lot of the jokes until you've got a whole ticker with Martingale was fantastic. Bob Barker was incredible. I mean, there's a number of guys but He seemed to embody, like kind of everything. He had the dry sense of humor, and he wasn't afraid. Tio use it, and he prided himself in I'm pronouncing the words correctly and knowing the answers, and I always wondered how much he learned from doing that show over 30 plus years had to be an incredible amount of knowledge. But He seemed to have everything, and he seemed to have the show that he actually learned while you're watching. You enjoyed it. You laughed a little bit. And you also learned And you can't say that about most of the The game shows that are out there even though I do love watching, and I didn't learn a whole lot when I was watching match game accepted bread, Summer's like to drink a little bit, and I mean that was good for me. But this one you actually learn stuff that you might be able to use when he was by the greatest of all time when you think Charles Nelson Reilly. Nipsey Russell having Oh, adamant. Avery Schreiber, Fannie Flagg, Patty doing Don't get me started on match Game My favorite Well, and you left out my my favorite. Uh, Richard Dog, of course, which means it, Don Sutton. Yeah, although, although you cringing and watch family feud that would not would not do in Ireland. It was the same realize he stopped that. Because I think he married ended up marrying and contestant from the I think it was a family feud that he married nothing. He promised her. He promised her he would stop doing it. So at some point I don't remember when it wass. He stopped kissing the Ah Kissing the contestants, But yeah, the like, do the on the lips. So it's so seventies. A seven in the seventies was like, Come on, Richard. A cuts a little kiss, kiss for luck. Kiss for luck. And then he's going for a 2nd 10 need. Richard had no problem with that whatsoever. What stood out Richard Dawson. I forgot about him are sticking him match game. He was really, really good. On family feud as well. But Alex, which is I don't know There's something about him bags right? That was like he was a game show host. But he was I felt like almost more than that, like he was the game show host. It kind of elevated, too. Above that. I don't know what it was, but maybe it was a show itself. That helped him But how did you look at it? You know, I just thought Here's a guy who broke Bob Barker's record a Guinness Book of World Records for the most hours on TV. Basically, most TV shows hosted what however, they phrased it, And for him, the spotlight was just another piece of set lighting. It was just it was he always asked to be introduced as and this is from Day one when he took over the show in 1984. To be introduced not as the star of the show. But as the host of the show, Because for him he was just the person who ran the board. You know he wasn't a celebrity, and you could tell that he was very uncomfortable even writing a memoir at the end, or Ah, You know, sort of recording videos. So let people know you know what his condition was, but he didn't want misinformation out there. He knew that it would be something his fans really wanted and would appreciate. And he didn't do it in service to his own ego. He did it in service to you know that his fans who basically treated him like a member of the family, and, uh, I mean, he was. You can't have jeopardy without Alex Trebek. They're gonna have to you have to find somebody who can You've been hosting. I don't know who it possibly could be, but he just Yeah, your right. He just found a way to just give you just enough of his personality, but never make it about him. Yeah, we were talking to our Giants Insider Andrew bag early of the athletic about his experiences on jeopardy with Alex Trebek with Alex Trebek's passing over the weekend bags. Three time champion on jeopardy and I will forever be introducing you as that bags. Whether we're talking jeopardy, baseball or not, Max, Thanks for your time. Thanks.

"It could take up a lot of the budget. Obviously they're not going to come out and say, Hey, this is how much we have to spend. But I think it is a good first sign that the Giants aren't gonna have to like slash and burn like some of these other teams are going to have to do. Let's not forget about Alex Trebek High rollers phantom, So you have to roll the dice and then use a dice to fill in the board. Let's have forget about that. I like more than just jeopardy, but obviously he was Would you consider him the greatest game show host of all time, Even though I said my personal favorites Gene Rayburn, because the match game I just loved how loose it wass and they're a little risque. But this one you actually learn stuff that you might be able to use. But he was right the greatest of all time when you think Charles Nelson Reilly. Nipsey Russell having Oh, yes. Avery Schreiber, Fannie Flagg. Patty doing Don't get me started on match Can my favorite well and he left out my my favorite, Uh, Richard Dawson. Of course, which is a thing I say, Don Sutton Yeah, although, although you kind of cringe when I watch old family feud that would not lift would not How you doing, darling? It was the same. You realize he stopped that. Because I think he married ended up marrying a contestant from the I think it was a family feud that he married and he promised her. He promised her he would stop doing it. So at some point I don't remember when it wass. He stopped kissing the Ah Kissing the contestants, But yeah, the was like, do the on the lips. So it's so seventies they have in the seventies was like, Come on, Richard A. Come on. You need to hear the kiss. Kiss for luck. Kiss for luck. And then he's going for a 2nd 10. Yeah, need. Richard had no problem with that whatsoever. But what stood out Richard Dawson. I forgot about him. I was taking him match game. He was really, really good. On family feud as well. But Alex, which is I don't know. There is something about him bags right? That was like He was a game show host, but he was felt like almost Mohr than that, like he was the game show host. Basically, most TV shows hosted what however, they phrased it, And for him, the spotlight was just another piece of set lighting. It was Just it was he always asked to be introduced as and this is from Day one when he took over the show and in 1984 to be introduced not as the star of the show, but as the host of the show, Because for him, he was just the person who ran the board. You know he wasn't a celebrity, and you could tell that he was very uncomfortable even writing a memoir at the end, or Ah, You know, sort of recording videos. Yeah, we're talking to are Giants insider Andrew bag early of the athletic about his experiences on jeopardy with Alex Trebek with Alex Trebek's passing over the weekend bags. Three time champion on jeopardy and I will forever be introducing you as that bags. When we're talking jeopardy baseball or not backs joining us on the only guest lineup, saying backs to the guys earlier when we started the show talking about Trebek To me. The great game shows were great because the host was perfect for the game show. Richard Dawson was perfect for family feud during that era. Raben was perfect for the match game. Bob Barker was perfect. Four price is right Wheel of Fortune or press. Your luck? Yeah. There you go. But you just you just detailed. That Alex Trebek was perfect for jeopardy because to me that the the most impressive thing he pulled off is that he got You got this entire country at one point in another or another to reeling, Lee sit down. To watch that show and learn something. It's we don't sit down to watch TV to learn. Something was said they'd watch TV to be entertained. We don't weigh don't want to think we want to thinking done for us, and I think if he would have come off is it know it all or smarmy or as high and mighty That show would have had the popularity it had. He was the perfect guy for that show is in the wrong hands. It's just, you know, it's an egghead convention. And people are not going to watch that for 35 years, and he was someone who I think champion learning and, uh and said Hey, look, you know if if you know, facts, you know information. You could be a valuable person. You can win money based on those skills just by being informed being, you know, culturally literate, you know, just knowing about All of sort of human.

but his most recent was hitting the thirty one year so can December truly a sweet and talented man also you but remember him as a so the any Griffith Show it went on with well he went on without going on he went on without Andy Griffith yeah but now when gone knots laughed as Barney Fife the deputy Jack burns took over as the deputy and he was like in these nephew or something like well they were all yeah yeah yeah Arnie was indeed that away and Barney was in these calls and yeah because Mandy yeah so branch but Jack burns and he was great for doing that routine with Peter burns and I think he did it in some commercials to I mean with the burn Jack burns and Avery Schreiber Schreiber lord and the end Shriver was like a cab driver and he'd be in the back of the cabin go well you know what I mean huh you know I don't yeah you know what I mean don't but I I remember him from mom the famous Friday's Andy Kaufman incident No Way Out yeah because Jack burns B. one of the writers who toward the end of the sketch you want to call it that indeed disrupted an entire sketch and just decided he didn't want to do the lines Kay and everybody was saying yeah everybody was getting mad at him and it was a bit but he was he came up to the end of this at the end of the sketch and tried to get in the off the stage and and he's yelling to the director go to commercial go to commercial and any kind of gestures at him a little rattling and Jack burns pushes him back and they almost get into a fight and and and he was just messing around he wasn't yeah well they they didn't tell anybody that and he was going to do that except for a producer new dat Netflix docu series that explores the life of Aaron Hernandez's made waves claiming that he engaged in same sex relationships I watch the prior to his twenty seventeen death well I sure Jana Jenkins Hernandez told ABC news Amy Robach was unaware of her fiance's intimate relationship with a former high school teammate before hand of the thirty year old said she would not of love him any differently had he been hiding his sexuality but wish he would have told her had it been true I would have understood a concern and as said in the clip of the upcoming in an upcoming interview it's not shameful and I don't think anybody should feel ashamed of who they are inside regardless of who they love it's a beautiful thing I just wish I was able to tell him that where's the gun sharana it would've been hard to watch some of the water would come over to the and she had the gun so I just it is just sad that he was he couldn't tell me that in that he murdered people yeah that was sad that was said ten you had the garden area out of jail a a local pizza place is feeling heat in Ohio over one of their billboards yeah out on their Billboard people are harder to kidnap come by it's a Jeremy Jeremy Clemson owns east of Chicago pizza but Barberton I don't find it amusing it's not amusing he says he started putting up a comical billboards how about six months ago to attract more business one of the Billboard said fat people are harder to kidnap you shouldn't make a joke about kidnapping regardless of what it is all I thought it was just as Laura hawks Statler I think it was just importation very offensive said another customer claims and said I'm I'm sorry you're probably right I I'll stick with like please legalize marinara and free box with every pizza just trying to be for me I had on my sign in front for three weeks nobody said anything but I guess it is a little over the top a teacher's aide here in Utah arrested thirty three year old woman arrested at the wall sexual district she was arrested for providing alcohol to students and encouraging them to have sex with each other Ashley and Morgan a Park City booked into the Summit County jail for investigation she it is alleged that by seventeen year old student that Morgan who used to be an employee with the division of child and family services he invited her into male students to her home to drink the female student said that Morgan provided her with alcohol and the male students and encourage the female student to have sexual contact back with one of the mails investigators say Morgan later text of the female student telling her if she was interviewed by the authorities to tell them she was never at Morgan's house and nothing happened and threaten to disclose personal information about the student if she didn't do that leaving that text as evidence spokeswoman for the loss at school districts of Morgan has been with the district for less than a year and will no longer be there and finally this hundreds of millions of desert locusts are swarming so what are you doing this to me in Ethiopia Kenya and Somalia some of the biggest numbers seen in more than twenty five years unusually wet weather and the presence of Satan has contributed to the massive outbreak of locus driving an explosion that the the locals are destroying crops threatening food security across the road we know how to handle those things here send of the singles what California Siegel every go they'll go in they'll eat their fill and then they'll fly over the great Salt "Pretty funny yeah and hand me for the day before was a match god I I I like that show that will watch it as much as I watched the other ones but I mean Richard Dawson's awesome bread summers and Charles also writes a letter is and then they bring in you know you have your your your weekly red head down to the bottom right hand corner with from the the lady from the Bob Newhart show she was on there yeah Marshall was he was actually one day she was she was there two weeks ago she's yeah but it's funny because I got the red heads a but the bottom right hand corner for whatever reason and then up to the top left you may get your senior no gal is Avery Schreiber or Nipsey Russell William Shatner was up in the the top corner I tell you what there's no doubt was out to get on the tail back and is pretty looking and then usually had like two min airplane to we need to go to the tower but Sir we don't have a tower he just walks through the TV set usually had your beauty like you're you're really good looking up so on the bottom left that's usually with the bottom left was but now I just the advances in Somers probably right that resides in Somers on match game is usually landers one landers sisters who Saluda just you there I'll think about a minute but yeah I did that Richard Dawson was he was classes the general and we just had a very robust discussion starting with the nineteen eighties coming of age teenage movies and went all the way through to game shows Richard Dawson everybody could you imagine we tried that too you know when he stopped kissing Alamo really and guess who married a contestant on valley view I mean he told her he again the point he told me that he promised.

"Of does a podcast czar musicals scene director I'll tell you that and you produce the John Williams show what's a podcast called a it's our your blog yeah it's radio Ellis. easy to remember. in this now we're talking about customs and a lot of them come from other countries and then there's one from Turkey it is a superstitions from all over the world yeah yeah in Turkey is involved in nice no to from Turkey in fact chewing gum at night is apparently the equivalent of chewing on the flesh of the dead have you ever heard of that I know and okay what's the other the other one is another thing you shouldn't do in Turkey you shouldn't jump over a child because doing this whole curse them to be short for ever this doesn't surprise me but I haven't heard of either of those is there some credit a lot of short Turkish. yeah well maybe that explains it had to do something trying to figure out a way to explain it. do you have any customs or superstitions yeah you're not supposed to hand the knife or scissors some something sharp to someone because it'll this such as Turkey that's a lot of that that's almost everywhere when you when you have turned around you're still holds the sharp turn around you're supposed to put on the table and then they take it up yeah because then that means if you do handed over it if I handed over to can by hand then we get in a fight later argument for that over anything anything over anything to the real housewives past nice to each other that might explain it a sense yeah you put it down and then you pick it up at your own risk L. if as you were growing up there if you were to put if you were to do it that way if you were just hand Kim some scissors would somebody scold you would somebody say you know the rule you yeah that they would my mom does she was never hand and eye when we're cooking together she always puts it down yeah I make sense thirty some of these come from common sense right don't you think does your mom jump over children. or to come at night he didn't jump over me and my sister. all right to back in the day you know that that's kind of dangerous things so you know if you tell your kids like something's bad bad is gonna happen then they'll obey the rules a little right yeah my mom told me that I would get warms if I kept looking in the mirror as much as I did Hey I never stop looking in the mirror right but she just was trying to say you know people take you as being vain don't look in the mirror so much right the getting worse in the stomach part was pretty clean what was the one of a if you were chewing gum in bed and when your sleep something would have would you get butterflies in your stomach or something else just followed a chance it might stay in your body are ever yeah within your forever I love you and another one I know you got to go get channel yeah girl if you bite your nails a tree will grow inside you I never heard that did you run yeah and look at my name right. what works for you. okay thanks for women listening I want to throw this out there because women in ancient Britain often kept acorns in their pockets to ensure a youthful complexion so this fall I'm gonna look for an oak trim and find an acorn and I put in my bra pick up on something as long as you're at it I got one for me to all right I can't hurt us right. and don't lie your purse on the floor in Brazil putting your purse or wallet on the floor means you'll become penniless so even if you pack your whole closet in the tow you better keep it off the tile. maybe I'm too analytical but if I grew up in any parts of the world where these were prominent I would demand to know the correlation because the that's the part that they often leave out yeah well the floor again I think they make stuff up to to scare you not to do it so it has come in sense thing but they throw in the us when you just grow up with the years take it for granted may now like act yeah and I guess I got to go out the same guard came in yeah although I have to tell you the whole pursing I have a friend who like really freaks out if I put my purse on their table because think about where you're at and from a germ stand by Adam the floor in the bathroom is this is pre hooks now they usually have hooks we hang up but still it's rubbed up against the door yes you know if you're sitting at dinner they tell you not to hang your purse on the back because somebody else. so you put it on the floor I mean think about how dirty the bottom of your purses. but it doesn't mean you'll go broken be penniless what you have to buy a new person a pretty expensive the expense and we all know about Friday the thirteenth right which were just number thirteen. I might expect bad things to happen on some level we also commonly fair six six six the devil's number or number of the beast right but did you know that in China the number four is feared because it sounds very close to the Chinese word for death and it's not Friday the thirteenth a dalliance a Tallien strad it's Friday the seventeenth no explanation here they're always a little later time. yeah. is it funny keeping so many apartments the apartment that my grandmother had didn't have a thirteenth floor the people who live at fourteen have to know that they're the third right don't pay yeah and a lot of commercial airliners also don't have the thirteen to rattle but guess what people in row fourteen it's irritating right. many south Koreans also do not sleep with fans running in closed rooms if they do it's believed to be fatal I couldn't sleep I couldn't either without one you mean yeah yeah. yes although ours is pretty rickety lately it I think it needs to be tightened so it might be like a a propeller falling on my head one of these days some talking to a lawyer to sleep knock on wood yeah people do that all the time it's one of the most prevalent superstitions people talk about it even as an atheist and self proclaimed skeptic this person who did the article I could housekeeping still sees himself falling into the tendency of thinking coincidences are meaningful or that certain events were meant to happen believe it or not he still knocks on what I knock on wood I do too and I'm not a you know I know it's about knocking on the cross is that what it is I don't even know that I didn't know that either yeah we know nothing that's why that's what I thought it was because the Wilbur with the white Sox pitcher. look at this you imagine what unites everyone because we all grew up differently yeah yeah we all know the sand right yeah that's true well except the chewing gum at night is like you're eating out of somebody's body yeah that's a little that's that's a little much. all right those are all I have those are good when you put your winner I think is. yes no question that's your hands down winner all right so let's think of it another way I was craving steak with Michael my first pregnancy I had I not given in to stake he would add a cow head he probably would have yeah that's a load of Pooh poohed you still love them. is your child you can't not love them ideas. a butter and jelly what does that mean my K. would've been a peanut. the monocle and. right. I would actually be pretty cool I. that would be excellent what about my second pregnancy when it was baloney that's tough he looked like Joe Bologna yeah the after double in there that would that would be I tell dean's veggie dip for Alan look like eighteen Richards. crave potato chips and catch up. interesting. Orville none that night. who is the potato chip guy when we were growing up I what exactly. days to hatch of commercials Avery Schreiber dead on with that with a crunch who is mistaken I bet a lot for buddy Hackett there maybe that's why it was a but he hated to guys in their potato chip guy when we were kids traffic will know where you live but we had a milkman. we had a potato chip delivery guy Charles de we had a that was the that's we we had that earlier is not man and we had the Charles chips delivery guy he would bring potato chips to your house yes in a huge can any also dead pretzels and other things yes it was a company that's outstanding yeah it was a they don't have that anymore not that I know but that the chips were delicious and they were in these two manga scans that's out I had no idea such a thing existed things happen Louisville. no I'm sorry I didn't all right Kim thank you for hanging out we will say goodbye in a little bit stick around to build one yet WGN..

"But yeah, I remember those years, and and I remember the years before that at around two thousand and one or so when people were saying like, we gotta come create some content for computers now, and we're gonna use flash animation. Come join us at icebox. Yes. I remember that was long and everyone had left all of their their jobs for regular television families. He didn't have to leave their families though, they did though that's their country where people know your wife people like what the fuck do. I need you for anymore, working the computer. I'm going to do this racist cartoon for the computer. But yeah, everyone's left their jobs, and they just went into these other jobs that were gone within a year. Meanwhile, podcasting still standing you mentioned of some guests recently that weird trailer park farm trailer. Where you were doing that show with Bill Dwyer and Karen kill Gareth. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I remember like the naked news. They were. Yeah. Negatives. And they had to leave second city was a co brand of that. But it was like there was some spate of radio radio shows people doing that. Greg Barron had to show pita center show. I wasn't at the trailer park farm. But I remember what your because I went to. I went to see I believe Dave Anthony and grandparents perform their show, right? And I was like, yeah. It was it was a warehouse with trailers inside that everyone did radios or something weird felt very federal walked in there like this. This can't laugh because there was impressed by the scale. And I was like, oh, wow. Every and we were all pretty young. And so as Trills? trills. School. See David Gregg have like it was like a real job. But yeah, the thing that I did was it was in Santa Monica, which is the worst. But it was topical jokes that we had to write first thing in the morning, and especially we're on the west coast. So we had to get up really early to get five in the morning or something be traffic, go out to Santa Monica and then right topical jokes about four subject matters, the news, entertainment, news, sports, and what was the other one? I know there was a four religion. Writing religion jokes. Oh my God. This is in one thousand nine hundred ninety seven for MSN or MSNBC, maybe and it was just MSN was it. It was MSN. And it was the second city naked news. And so as me and Karen kill Gareth and Bill Dwyer and like Nichols. Elaine may okay, all of us Avery Schreiber, Zana resented data. And we would write these jokes every day and a proxy. We would ride them starting at like, you know, eight AM, and then at approximately noon, we would we would try to write like two pages of topical jokes today at noon, we would read through them all and then we would record them for this basic like it was a radio play with flash animation. That people were supposed to watch. I guess. Yeah. It was like for basic a bitch. I do remember the Bill Dwyer had a leg up on his because he had such a funny delivery that. Even if the joke, he wrote wasn't good, and he would always Atta tag that was such in his voice that we would always like the tag better than the joke or we go. All right. We picked that one just to hear him do the tag fun times nineteen Ninety-seven. But technically my first professional writing job. Thank you so much lasted to summer and then canceled, but you got in there. That's the important thing. That's the important thing is that guy my foot in that door. Yeah. And it's still there. It's still there still going, hey show biz. And you're blocking for other people to get an old evidently. Hey, if I can block ten people a day from getting what I? That's what I tried to do. It's a numbers game show biz. That was fun though. That was a fun summer you were working on mister show, and we would talk on the phone occasionally..

Operated so we mentioned salbutamol me and. Johnny. Pesky how about James sokoll off the Loyd Nashville doing? It he's doing. Right tell, them you mean? Business And. We've had a bunch of other names that. Have come through Nina's lightning that that one so anyone? Else on your. List let, me see here Let me. Put my glasses back Oh the no name restaurant back in the, days of the OJ Williams show and I love? The move there are you there Quite frequently right but on the old. Jerry Williams show Nick we come on Yup and Push not push but let everybody. Know about, the no name risk excuse, me the. Food and the ambiance things no-name and, when, Nick stop doing. That. Commercial They still sponsored the Jay Williams show So Jerry. Would do, the big old bus and, go down. To the no name restaurant very good Word word that's what. He said I remember that very well let's go to Ohio and speak to Duke to. Good evening How long do you gonna hey how you doing guys Duke Good to hear you. Good to. Hear your glad to hear, you, back on tonight thank, you Hey you know obviously people all over the country have their own individual. Stories. Similar to, the one you're talking about were, local people who've. Done ads for their. Businesses correct you know. A couple of those came came kind of legendary thanks to. Johnny Carson Do you remember to the things that Carson used to used to using a. Lot. Of gags, were to car dealers out on the west coast. One was Cal Worthington And his dog spot? And. Of course? You know spot was never? A dog he was a tiger he? Was a walrus he was a. Hippopotamus and. Then the other, one was Ralph Williams yes do you do you remember those to not. Only do I remember those two I got to meet. Cow Worthington you did this was an I, can't pinpoint the year whether it was ninety two and ninety eight but Carol was, in. With. The Barbary coast hotel hotel I as well had an. In with management and this was during one of the Super. Bowls and he was in the sweet Nick okay me and they had a pre pre Super Bowl party he wore a huge ring and the. Ring was a car Hubcap for. Exactly. And he introduced himself to me and I said you're. The guy Carson imitates overtime said yeah I made Johnny famous That's funny And. Ralph Williams Was well known all across Los Angeles in the lower part of of California for his low prices and great deals and hands across the. Sea friendship with the customers. So, to answer your question yes I do remember them And again Carson Carson kinda made those guys. So that the rest of. The, country do about them And yeah I I never. Met obviously never met Cal Worthington but I did, see his commercially. Quite quite a bit on, business always got a real chuckle out watching those. Cows a, big man he when I say big I'm gonna say flirted with three hundred pounds easily I didn't, know he was that big I know he was Hey hey let me since you guys are trivia about do you remember the? Movie? That Marty. Feldman made cold the, last. Remake. Of, beau jest I do I do remember that yes okay well the reason I bring this up if you'll remember there, was a scene where in the middle, of a battle scene. They did. A commercial for for honest I teams, Campbell sale remember, that I don't remember that bid but. Continue but it well Well. Just it was it, was. A. It, was a play on the couch or even had thing I mean it was basically a cow Worthington commercial the guy, that was playing on a team was, a comedic actor and. Comedian Avery. Schreiber oh I know Avery Schreiber from, burns and Schreiber Right exactly and he, did this scene. Where, he I mean. It was a, commercial you know a fake commercial in in a battle and. And it, was you know I mean, it was. Almost forward for word of something on on for the Cal worthy but the funniest part. Was, if you'll remember councils cows commercials out there They always, ended with, his jingle go see Cal go see Cal go see Cal well when they. When they did this and the Marty Feldman moment was, go CRT team Just, goes, to, show you the impact that Carson had to write make, it part of the culture and cut off his Yeah yeah and the fork in the road yeah Okay, guys. That's it just thought I'd all? Right Thank. You thanks a lot Bye-bye Maybe you've heard the story before I had caroliina on. This was back in the days all man when. I, was still. At HD h. Okay And we were talking about. Her career he was the blonde, that was frequently teatime movie lady right Carson regular and she was very bright and comedic. In her own timing and once I recognized her. Stick I did, the best I could to keep up and number long so. She stabbed to tell a joke And I've heard the joke before but she thought it, was a, funny joke and the way she told. It, was. A. Riot and there was a basketball player Marvin Barnes and he was not a. Nice person oh okay okay go figure He for whatever reason. Wouldn't, play. By. The rules He decided to rob a store in his neighborhood So the owner. Of the store, knew him because it's his neighborhood, it's this neighborhood the guys like. Six foot ten which narrows down who could be so Marvin Barnes has a, gun and give me all your money And the clerk said Marvin I know. That you under the mask you don't have to do this, if you need, money out give you money but you don't have to pull a, gun and caused a robbery maybe get involved with the police and all the things. That come along with that, and Marvin Barnes was in having any of it so Marvin Barnes finally said To the owner It ain't me Now you, can imagine Karen Wayne's voice. Telling this story Was? She not the one that, that lost her life though My drowning. From, not. Mistaken it, was an accident it was an accident yeah. Yep, but boy she was a huge part of. That show yes and they tried doing that bit without her I think they even add her sister Nina Wayne do the bit once the same no one could hold. A candle to just, standing, there, and vivacious you talk about women actresses. Obviously women actresses who have that, I want I'm, gonna. Use this quotation fingers dumb blonde. Approach right do you know? That. Lisa Kudo who did it on friends yes has an IQ about one sixty. And and, has an amazing level of intelligence you, know she's nothing like the character she plays which is. Often the case with any. Of these paycheck that's what these people want and the, dumb blondes, as you put it in quotations a laughing all the way. To. The blank are Bank past and present Absolutely I'll tell you what. Let me take my last break the, hour we've got two more calls to. Take and then I'm gonna. Bring dean Johnson so Joe and Tyrone don't Hang up you've been queued been placed in line stay put. Who.
