Halo Infinite Multiplayer Is Free-To-Play, Supports 120 Fps

"Stop Confirms Kahlo. Blair is going to play. This is Tom War and the verge. Fitness will be free to play in support up to one hundred and twenty frames per second Marcus, Marsov has announced the news comes after leak from Smith's toys superstores, which briefly posted posted details about halo, infinite multiplayer on a promotional page this week before quickly removing them once the Internet discovered the references. The legendary hero returns with the most expensive masters chief campaign yet and a groundbreaking free to play multiplayer experience relisting enjoy up two hundred and twenty F- ps in greatly reduced low times creating seamless game play with xbox series X. Co Brill, an Xbox leaker that accurately released accurately revealed previous Halo Limited details backed up the claims that the most Blair mode will be free to play. The leaker also claims the arena mode will aim for one hundred and twenty. which is also confirmed, and that multiplayer Halo Infinite will include a battle passes them and new customization options which the company has not confirmed. Tim. Halo, Fan number one of kind of funny. What is your take on this? This is fantastic. This is honestly unbelievable in many ways. I think this is a sign of things to come I. in in terms of transparency this goes back to where Tom on earlier with the Sony side of things. The these rumors and leaks come out Microsoft straight comes out at what four thirty PM on a Friday and it's just like, Hey, it's true. Let's just announced this. Let's get. This is good news. Let's let the people start talking about this and getting hype about it. Hundred frames per second on a console like way earlier than I expected to to start seeing those. Numbers thrown around especially for a flagship like Halo and I know that there's a lot of like jokes to be made about the how he'll looks or whatever. But when it allows things like this, that are going to enhance the gameplay of what makes him multiplayer special I. think that's totally worth the concessions and on top of that their commitment to this. Hundred. Twenty for second I think is assigned to me the more tech minded person compared to a lot of people are kind of funny that I'm very very, even more. So excited about Nexgen now where I wasn't expecting to start really seeing these numbers for three or four years granted, the TV's that the mainstream has right now are not able to do this. Even. My Amazing L.. G. O. That I have isn't compatible with HD my point one and it wasn't until two years ago is model that they started having one port to do that. That's going to start becoming a bit more normalized over time. Especially, if these councils are are touting this and pushing this as a feature that's necessary, it's going to push the. TV. Creators to to push as fast as possible for that to get that marketing space and best buy you know But this is great news for Gamers especially for people whether they play on. A Computer Monitor or on TV like this is awesome. Yeah. The greater play. That's the best thing ever. Yeah. That's the biggest thing and honestly I am I'm shocked. That they're going this route but I think it is the best route to go. Mainly, because I think this would have been such a great seller for xbox game past Halo multiplayer like I. Think I think so many are expecting that like Oh yeah. That's going to be the killer APP for xbox Game Pass. So the fact that this is going to be free to play experience like you still have the Halo Campaign, which you can get through Xbox game passed and that's of course going to sell so many people on that service but still man multiplayer that's a big thing and honestly I think This is going to be so good for Halo. especially, like in comparison game pass like of course, that might that might not give impasse the bolstering that in east, but for Halo that is going to increase the player base. So dynamically, that is going to turn that into a platform going to allow that thing to live for a while right and of course, it's Halos who's going to live anyway. But free play takes up a whole other level So like this is this is crazy news, but I'm all about it like I'm I like big moves like this. A me too, and I think that this is definitely assigned to calm. There's been so many where the smoke their fire type rumors about xbox live going away as a paid service, and with this, it's like if you're making halo. Free to play. Like. That is such esteem that is such. A flagship on he'll is a flagship title for for Xbox in so many different ways it's a flagship for selling the series. X, it's a flagship for game pass. It's a flagship for what a Microsoft single player experience looks like with the campaign and it most definitely is a flagship for multiplayer and for selling xbox live. Everything they're saying here is them being like Yell Halo is something that is just the foundation that people just get and then you grow from there and hope that people come in and want to stay in that ecosystem I is extremely exciting. I think that it's GonNa pay off for them the talk about a battle pass or whatever that makes sense that's an a a source of revenue come, and if they're offering good content there than the great and. The on in the battle pass include with game pass would be a good idea to help push the game strategy exemption I expect that. Imagine that right where it's like, Oh, anyone can play. But if you get gained, ask you also get all the the battle past. Plus this library of games, and it's like that all Microsoft's trying to get people in if they're getting them in different doors to the same thing, that's what matters most

Marvel's Avengers: Retailer Says Spider-Man PS4 Exclusive Listing Not Correct

"Spiderman may be exclusive to the playstation version of Marvel's avengers a since removed product blurb on the retail website based dot listing for the upcoming Marvel's avengers game noted that Spiderman would be exclusive to the playstation four version of the game and by extension the playstation five version when that releases. Andy Robinson reported on the detail for Video Games, Chronicle Dot, com, and wrote it's not clear if the marketing blurb was supplied by publisher square, inex- However the company has previously confirmed has a global marketing deal with playstation and that there would be surprises for playstation players. That story is linked in the show notes and would be undeniably pretty big surprise for playstation players. It would make sense to considering Sony's part ownership relationship with. The character Spiderman has been a weirdly important element of Sony's business for some time. Sony makes money off all Spiderman Marvel movies and the playstation three pretty much wholesale news these Spiderman Font established by these Sam Raimi's spider man films for its logo, and then of course, there is the INSOMNIAC developed Spiderman game that Sony published which performed so well that it led Sony to finally put a ring on insomniacs finger and purchased the studio.

AMCs deal with NBCUniversal could bring new movies to viewers homes in 17 days

"AMC which is a big theater chain in big trouble because of the pandemic was in trouble before now it's much worse trouble. made a deal with universal studios and the deal breaks the window that all the movie owners have been trying to preserve because they feel as essential to their business I mean, the previous window was ninety days in this deal. which is so striking seventeen days. The universal has the option to take these movies and put them on premium video-on-demand like they did with trolls, trolls movie recently like they did with Staten Island, the Judd appetizer movie, and they have to charge you a minimum of twenty bucks but seventeen days is so much shorter than anybody had ever imagined. I think other theatre owners are just like sort of stunned by the steel and another theater chain owner. The CEO said, we do not see any business sense in this model. So let's break this down and figure why they did this. I, mean first of all, the theater chains are extremely challenge right now they have no product they have nothing to do and I. Think this is a catalyst for what a lot of people have said was going to eventually. Happen is that the theater chains we're going to have to succumb on this windows issue and get the movie studios to essentially cut them in on a portion of revenue for premium vod. So that means if universal has a movie after seventeen days, three weekends, they can put that movie on vod charge a premium for it, and they will have to cut in the movie theater chains on this. So essentially, they're sacrificing this window exclusivity for a piece of what? They see as a growing potentially transformative market. Yes. As You well know Matt the danger here I mean with the big movie with one of the fast and furious movies that costs a fortune and needs to grow fortune. They will never get there even if they charge you a lot of money for that premium video on demand thing they the calculation is they can't get there and they would leave those movies in theaters longer but if there are certain movies. That they put in. So quickly after seventeen days are we not training the public to say, I. Don't need to go to the movie theater just wait. Yeah and the question is was that happening already or is this going to be the spark that Burns down the theatrical movie business and I and I think there's room for debate there because we see the trends we see in the movie business are that people show up in mass amounts for the a-list. E ticket ride movies like avengers and fast and furious but increasingly, the middle ground of movies and below that are not alluring people in theaters and we've seen example after example of this at the same time as streaming services are going nuts on their film offerings. So is AMC getting out ahead of this and saying we got to throw in the towel and least we will get a cut of this I mean think about what happened in the music business the music business was essentially destroyed by streaming and then slowly but. Surely. It was brought back by streaming because the consumer was trained to pay the services got great and now the music business is doing great because of streaming and I think ultimately that's likely going to happen here in the movie business and AMC is getting a piece of this and negotiating to be part of that future rather than continuing to hang on to the past model. Yeah. I mean I think there are a couple of really big questions. Can you have movie theaters when they're on a steady diet of gigantic movies? There's that sustain them that can keep them in business and the other big question is it really can AMC survive long enough to see the whatever fruits this deal might yield because. Is Teetering on a precipice. That's why they did this deal by the way. NBC. announced. Results they're they're getting hurt badly too but. AMC This is a lifeline they hope and We'll see whether AMC lives long enough to try this and if it really does. Kill. Movie theaters were one early indicator that is not dispositive here is that the stock went up when this deal was announced AMC. So clearly, investors are seeing down the line and saying, Hey, you know what we may be on something here.

Mark Clark: Warbirds Marketing Specialist

"Courtesy. Aircraft is well known for marketing former military aircraft among other aircraft. How many such transactions take place on average annually in? How many have you done over the course of history? Oh Gosh over the course of history probably over three thousand transactions. and obviously we're not the only one selling these kinds of airplanes, a lot of the owners consent of their own airplanes, but a lot of time they like to turn it over to us because we're kind of familiar with the transactional side of. Inspections title searches checkouts insurance, you know all of those little things that go towards making a successful transaction for the buyer and the seller so. Having done it before, you know, it's a pretty emotional thing when you sell one, and it's an emotional thing when you buy one I mean there's so much history personality wrapped up in the airplanes and the owners. Sometimes it takes a middleman to just wade through of the emotions on both sides, and my understanding is. You've sold the same airplane several times is. Oh Yeah I've got one thing I've sold four times, and that was actually the first Mustang. Average flu sold that particular point four times remains flying, and in grave condition actually here in Illinois today, and I've got a number of t sixes and t twenty eight that sold multiple times. Of the thousands of airplanes you sold. Is there one type model? That's more coveted more prized. Well I think it comes down to beauty is in the eye of the older I particularly love the North American eighty six. That was my first Warburg that I ever flew. Though. Maybe it's kind of like your first girlfriend. There's always something kind of special, but I think the t six is a relatively reasonable airplane to purchase. It's a reasonable airplane to fly. It's very nice Daljit with six hundred horsepower radio edge, and and of course all of the World War Two high looks got some time whether they were fighter or bomber pilots so historically. Historically it has a lot of significance for the united. States as well as probably thirty five countries around the world that operate those airplanes, the last air force to operate those airplanes on a regular basis was the South African Air Force and they were operating the airplanes up until the early nineties about sixty of those airplanes actually came to the united. States and are now in the civilian market as well as a number of them are various places around the world. They were military trainers then and their civilian operated now and used and enjoy. I'm curious. Does the US Department of Defense Still? Surplus military aircraft to the civilian market there's very little of that most of the airplanes that are in the quote Bonier down in Arizona, later model kind of tactical type airplanes back in the mid nineties, there were some airplanes coming out. Mostly trainer planes mostly t twenty eight came out under his traits with museums and stuff, and that provided a lot of the civilian operated inventory, but there's just not a whole lot of stuff left there. That is really civilian friendly I guess. Guess is a better word you know. Some of the technical airplanes have liquid oxygen systems and ejection seats, and you know lots of things that are just beyond the level of interest or financial commitment in time commitment that the average civilian guy wants to go out and just enjoy the airplane. In that case I know you're not the average civilian type. You've piloted bombers and fighters and transports, and what have you? Did you find one or a type more challenging than another pilot? You know it's kind of a building block things you know you start out with the smaller trainer. I I was a civilian pilot RHIANNA civilian pilot. I never was able to get the excellent training that the military gives you so I. Think we're my way up. I sold assessment one fifty on my sixteenth birthday, and worked my way on up. I started in the civilian tailgater. Is the top radio then transition do t six got lots and lots of t six time then transitioned into A. A Mustang and once I got the most time I was able to transition kind of sideways into some of the other world, war two fighters of course air, and the sea fury, and those types of airplanes tbn Avenger torpedo bomber in the military. You're either a fighter, pilot or transporter bomber pilot so I of did the parallel tracks with the B, twenty five and the Douglas, a twenty six after having a lot of other civilian multi engine time in three and four hundred series Cessnas. Teens and both types of airplanes, so it's kind of a building block system. Really that is an amazing array of aircraft, and they're out there in the civilian world, can anyone by one of these things and fly one of these things flying and flying are are not necessarily synchronized ice waller liaison airplane like a single engine they'll five is probably fifty or sixty thousand dollar airplane, some of the smaller L. Birds, the Piper cubs, and in Iran 'cause in those in military colors, or even less than that, but you can get up into the fighters multi million dollars. Dollars of airplane so obviously you need the financial capability someplace on that spectrum and of course, every one of those airplanes as different abilities needed as far as flying the airplane as well as taking care of the airplane, so buying the airplane is certainly one part of the equation, but learning to safely fly the airplane and to maintain your plane properly, you know those are time consuming in dollar consuming items, so everybody kind of fits on that spectrum depending on were they wanna be, and what their financial, as well as time commitment and training commitment is. You touched on maintenance. Some of these airplanes are sixty seventy eighty years old. Though is there a typical ratio of flight hours versus maintenance hours to these machines? That's really hard to say because everybody's use of the airplane. It is different I mean. Some of these airplanes fly couple hundred hours a year. Guys do a lot of air shows and things and charity flights and that kind of. Of stuff and then other airplanes, maybe only flight thirty hours a year and a minimum, any of these airplanes are GonNa have to have either an annual inspection or in equivalent of an annual inspection, which in some of the airplanes is called condition inspection, and then some of the larger airplanes, the transport level airplanes that are over twelve five as well as the turban airplanes require an. FAA approved maintenance program. You know it may be in phases, but it has to be done within a reasonable. So, you know it just depends on the level of commitment that somebody wants getting the work done is fairly easy. There's a pretty good network around, but you get a big airplane like a B.. Twenty five with a sixty five foot, wingspan and eighteen or seventeen and a half foot, tall tale women. It just doesn't fit in your average t hangar that you're GONNA put assessment one eighty two. There's some logistics required there, but you know everybody. Kinda makes that decision for themselves. What level of commitment they

"All been very on the edge of our seats waiting for this one to drop some technical difficulties along the way that I wanted just completely lay at the feet of one Kevin Mateo. On you jer. Typical. What you're the altron this situation I'm vision just somehow to blame your servers and your programming. Well to keep the Pinocchio, Talk Up. My nose is growing with the LAI. It's totally my fault that we are delayed. We're delayed, but we are here. We're back if you're listening to this. Binge. Catch up, then you're like what's the big deal, but we missed a week. Sorry about that. Totally my fault life is happening, but we're back to talking about age ball. Trying to what Kevin I don't mind that we had an extra week to think about this one because I think of interchangeable Tron is a movie that is worth chewing on right. This is like one of those like. It's a it's A. It's a piece of meat. That's a little harder to chew Then maybe you're typically used to, but does that mean that it's bad in. It's trash I. The metaphor is not great. But I could be better, but but I think you get the gist of what I'm saying. Is that like the state is still a steak and the avengers movie is still an avengers movie. Does that mean if it's the weakest of the avengers movies. Is it trash, or is it just the week? The avengers movie is and it still can be good because I think. I would be. Mind blown if you came on here and you told me. That after revisiting age Voltron, this is not the worst avengers. This is clearly the worst of the four vendors movies nine debate. Debate, I think you're right. The debate is just how bad is it or how good is a comparatively and it's crazy I think you're right. I think more time for this movie was good. And I don't think like the time gave me much of a change in my opinion, but it's so weird. This is I. Think. I've made this before and I. It may last week, but I feel like this move might be the most controversial of the MCI. Films in terms of just like. How people feel about it like there's just like it's good. It's bad for iron. Man Three but I feel like there's just such a weird thing about this film. There's so much. Like people don't like, it's just a movie that exists is it is a bad because it's not as good as the rest of them. Was it like the follow really hard to do? Alternately I. Yeah. Hopefully everybody's got to see the night city wire presentation earlier today. Actually Miranda got to play. The game got to play four hours of CYBERPUNK which is very very cool, so. As I understand it Miranda at the beginning of the game. You have to choose one of three different locations to get yourself started in. Is that right? Yes, so you actually choose one of three identities that Kinda like for your personality, little bit as well so you can choose no mad, which starts to outside of my city in the badlands, just kind of like this big dessert area that's just philosopher nomads, and like different groups of people been behalf, the corporal, which is like the corporate path, and so you're kind of an Asshole, you live in late. The corporate skyscrapers USA There's nobody. To people. Have Ryan chosen incidents of videos and then. To do. We had on our PREPO show. Yeah. The third one is a street kid like you kind of night. This other area and there's a couple of bars clubs in that area that you start in so those three places have completely different starting quests, 'cause they're related to your background so like with the Corporate Staff Ryan about this bunch is about like you're working. You're their boss like all of this other corporate drama. I don't really I. I didn't play that one. I was just like man I. Don't WanNa do that. The for the nomads. You're kind of like this rundown town and I guess with the nomads a usually stick with your with your group, and your character has kinda split off on his or her own, and they are kind of going through this town, and the sheriff is just like. Get Out of here, so It's not a very friendly place, so you're trying to figure out how to get into night city. Then you meet up with Jackie to go on your quest, and so regardless of what you choose, you always meet with Jackie to do something, and then once you fulfill that you get tonight city, so it's not super long. I think it would maybe take. Maybe thirty minutes to get through that part. I was doing the thing that I do which is like I've been a look at everything in here. There's not a ton and drive. Everywhere I do too late to the edge of the map. which whenever you get there within haven't talked about yet. was it? It's like yet the map and then it just turns you around. So where I was it was desert okay I'm sure it'd be different other places, but at the end of the math also prompted a loading screen spirit, and that also could interested for the preview belt who really knows but like loaded me back in? It's like no. No, no, you can't be here. and. You're like walled off as a in the desert like its own thing. So I'll assuming silk. There's like a a border patrol to actually go through like you can't just drive up tonight. City from the badlands like you have to get the checks by security. And that's actually what kind of kicks off. A big part of the quest is that you're trying to smuggle something thorough. And the thing he smuggles early cool. I don't spoil it for you. Guys so that was a really neat way to get kicked off. Those kind of like a scoop related topic that we always talk about about streaming games. Are you allowed to talk about your preview setup for this? One said that I couldn't. I. I was curious logistically how you played this game. Yes, so they've I. "You Welcome to kiss myths and mysteries, I'm your host Kit Chrome today to get us in the mood of haunted ghost towns that we're going to be talking about later in the we thought I'd cover a couple former military basis that were active during and slightly after world. They were stored in an all wood, the hanger get this one thousand seventy two feet long two hundred ninety six feet, wide, one hundred ninety two feet high, that took thirty three million board feet of lumber to build originally the basis, one thousand six hundred acres held over sixty buildings, but as of today only thirty five or left standing. In a heavily wooded area paths lead to five separate ammunition bunkers, and the basis littered with dozens of locomotives left rusty on their tracks. There are several aircraft and radar bunkers. Also, it was nineteen forty eight when the base was decommissioned in our story really begins. The two huge hangars were filled with warplanes hanger a contained T. B.. M. EA Access Is Coming To Steam

"A access is coming com to steam, and I think this is really big I think seeing more of this kind of thing. In the P. C. space is interesting, and I think a testament to speaking of The weekend confirmed as the story then was always like Pc. Gaming is dying right like. More wrong. Exactly exactly. And I think this is interesting and I think ea doing it via steam is interesting as well versus Ubisoft like you play, plus or whatever at there's is called its own service that you subscribe to and are certainly other subscription services on P. C., but this feels like a big deal to me. Especially considering year has origin, and they had their own thing right, so they're kind of already had their own thing on. Bringing it to steam feels it feels big I. IT feels big. I agree. I think it is big I. Think it also I wonder, and I would throw it out to both of you for your opinions I wonder if this is a harbinger of things to come in that the sort of consolidation of all these different disparate services on you might be happening. We might be seeing the first domino of what will be like in who an Ubisoft you play on steam or on the EPA game store where instead of having all these different launchers all these different Places that your video games can live. They can all live in on steam, but then you can have these different services that are subsets of steam. That you pay for and give you access to early things. Give you free games. I think that's a cleaner more convenient way for me. From my perspective as a consumer, it seems cleaner and more convenient, but I wonder what you guys think this. What's your take on this? So so basically? What you're saying Jeff is that you think steam is going to be the smart TV of. Gaming well, maybe maybe I mean. If only we could have one subscription that we all these different services in the room something like Cable Don. so I think what this. What this really says to me with the screens to me more than anything else is that anthem destroyed their PC. Off. Because because, so you know. I mean they were. They were full speed ahead. Two three two and a half years ago with origin access and and they were really really pushing it, and in fact had created a premium model of their origin origin service, e- play, or at least it announced it at ea play twenty eighteen. I think was. Able to correct tube. But you know, and since you know at that at that EA, play the big game, the big triple a tidal, the thing that if you are there at that at that particular event that I you know I think it was at the podium where I was. The one thing that everybody wanted to see was anthem, and you had it behind closed doors. They invested a lot of money. In in that game and you know we all know what happened with it and and a lot of what they were doing and what they were building. was. Hinged upon the success of this game, and it didn't work, and now with the what they're finding is people have? Towards the service because they're not gaining anything from it.

Marvel’s Avengers game development seemingly still on track, new gameplay coming next month

"Marvel avengers holding a war table stream. Whatever that is on June twenty-fourth the upcoming avengers game has sort of been quietly trucking along while you know the video game hype lasers have all been pointed on games like final fantasy seven remake last of US partout ghosts of Sushi Emma and the next Gen consoles but the game is still on track for a September release and on June twenty four. Th there will be a war table stream which will share new gameplay and Co op. It feels weirdly far out to be building excitement for the stream but in the face of summers increasingly dense calendar announcements. I suppose it doesn't hurt to claim your spot as early as possible. Avengers is one of those games that I am just. "avengers" Discussed on Post Show Recaps

"Oh my God. I'm Josh with I'm joined here right. Kevin my day. Who was secret is he's always angry. It's not really much of a secret. We know that's pretty out there. We no doubt canzone and Kevin some weeks ago. You and I embarked on a journey. We said we would podcast about every single movie in phase one of the marvel cinematic universe from iron man through the avengers and then we'll see what happens beyond that we've reached the moment. Kevin Josh Widens the Avengers Joss. Sweden's Marvel's the avengers because technically as movies called Marvel's the avengers but that's stupid so we just call it the avengers posture fees. And that's that's like the only thing about this movie that stupid because the rest of is spectacular in great imperfect and terrip. It's so fantastic. And it's funny. Start off that way. I'm surprised you didn't say like there was an idea to watch every marvel movie day. It was an idea. Yeah I just. Oh my God Josh Josh. Nubian Kevin's movie God. I had such a blast. Re watching the avengers eras part is everything is super. If you're just joining us for the journey Kevin I have embarked on a MC. We talk about a movie. We watch a movie. We talk about a movie. We'd take your feedback. We rank things ranked the movies ranked the bad guys rank the post credit scenes. We rank the fights. We rank the stands Stan. Lee's not the stand. Sebastian stands is this bastion Stan. Someone WHO STANDS SEBASTIAN? The the lobster. I think it's Sebastian from neverending story. Oh please man. This movie vendors would be so much better if you subbed out. Hawkeye and put in a tray you. That's the only change that I would make. Every movie is better if you put in a trade or foul Falco is like the Leviathan. Yes Oh my can you imagine. What is it ratching me right in the back? I kid scratch it by. Oh that's so good. I like your voices that those are actually spot onto the childlike empress. Yeah so this is what we're doing on everything super today. We've made it to the avengers. We've got feedback to get through. We said we would get to the vendors and then reevaluate. We'll spare the suspense. We're going to keep going right. Kevin. We're GONNA keep doing this. I will keep going until the end of the line my friend. We'RE GONNA keep setting like reasonable goalposts ourselves so face to face next. We're taking it one phase at a time face to we're saying face two is happening we will make it through. Avengers Age Voltron. Although technically is an aunt Mandy and defaced two. Yeah man was also man was bizarrely like right after the other big one. It's weird to be like okay. There's a movie and then there's aunt man glow strange placement. I guess we're GONNA talk about Paul Rudd at some point in the next. Several weeks will make it through man at the very least next week. Just a programming note. We're going to hop right into this. We'RE NOT GONNA go straight from the avengers to iron man three you're going to go from the avengers into a that's super special. We will talk about everything from phase. One of the marvel. Cinematic Universe will do some previewing of phase two so we'll try and forecast some of our takes and other assorted forms of Shenanigans Chicanery shall occur here Kevin on the podcast. Next week hijinks ensue. I don't know what that means but I only know the word chicanery because of Kim pill which is a sad thing I know it from better call Saul so I should watch that. Tv is my dad cable. Yeah Tony US all right. So let's talk about the avengers. Kevin Greatest movie of all time or great movie in the history of all things that are great. It's I mean it's it's one of those time the greatest movie of all time but my God. It's so crazy 'cause like I went into this preconceived thoughts in my head. I thought I was at best going to give it like a five. Maybe five point five and I'm trying to find reasons not to give it a six honestly because I remember criticizes movie for having like the first and second acts worth that great at broke the Marvel Curse where the third act is incredible. But the first and second or okay. That is false like watching this now especially like that movie starts and it goes and does not stop and I can appreciate that like it just throws you in his expected for something like this. You know they've been building up this film Over the course of all those other ones introducing the character so it. It was a point where they're like. We don't really do too much of a recap we're GONNA GO. And they really amped up stuff throughout the entire film. They've they did so many amazing things from the fights to the fan service. I think I have to call out a fan service in his movie. Because it's it's so great to me like this movie showed that you could do finance service and it's okay you don't have to keep things from fans if they're like dying to see it which. I feel like other people do in their movies. But this is like you. WanNa see the Hulk Hulk guys like it's great it's Great Joshua so it's very very good and I think one of the things that's a compelling piece of the history of this movie it's written and directed by Joss Weeden Josh. Weeden certainly a household name in the GEEKS space but on the off chance that you're not in that house hopefully you're in a house of we are in a home The things that he's known for at this point away. Firefly buffy Angel dollhouse. If you were a dollhouse dollhouse season two of dollhouses actually really really really great has one of the most compelling runs of episodes in any show and I will I will stand by that take but we didn't have been a comic book writer is will had had dabbled in the comic book. Space astonishing x men is that correct is correct. He launched astonishing x men which was a new well. It was like a newish. Take the X. men it's like a classic team of x men covering there's some other people across it's actually one of my. This is in there right or is that. That's like kind of spoiler alert. Serve for people who read this decade. You're like Oh classes spoiled that he secretly in it. Well but like we didn't have had done interviews where he said like the X. men were characters that he could get his head around because like he understood metaphor he understood what made them compelling team. He understood that they were underdogs in the world that the whole allegory of of mutant in the Marvel Universe is a meditation on on class warfare and racism and xenophobia and all of that and with the vendors it's just like how do you make that work you know all the Earth's heroes. How do you make that interesting? And we didn't ends up making this movie and making it interesting and a very weird anyway. Where we didn't is known for is for underdogs is for masters is for people who are daring clever foolhardy rogues and he slaps that approach on these characters who are already if not like really well worn through as one of the then at least showing a lot of promise he also gets in collaboration with Mark Ruffalo to take the whole for a brand new spin there's also Hawkeye and so like there. There's a lot here and I think. What's compelling me to about this is. We didn't who like is not necessarily feeling like super hot on on the avengers coming into this ends up like really kind of plumbing the depths of avengers lower to make this movie isn't the first avengers. Comic Book isn't the very first issue of the avengers. Isn't it a team against Loki? Yes it does woke even try to turn the hulk against them in the comic book or am I making that part? That might be possible it. It has been a very very very very long time since I page through the very first vendors issues from nineteen sixty three. I WanNa say but yes. They're always at least there was low-key Was who they fought so it was amazing to have that be a big round that up. I remember people talking about and hoping for before even the reveal showed up that. Oh yes key and is going to be the villain after the end of four It was a huge deal to do that. And it's really interesting too. I didn't know that that that we didn't couldn't really wrap his head around the avengers. But I kind of get it from a weird writing perspective right like to me the characters that you know and love you have the story you WanNa tell you kind of have these thoughts about them and it's almost like you feel like you already need everything you know going in and sometimes it doesn't always end up the best story but when you're face with characters you don't know you sort of have to try harder and I think that almost compels a writer to be forced to tell a better story because you're telling a story about why we should care about these characters because you yourself were trying to convince yourself to care about these characters so it's really interesting to know that about. We didn't and his take on this. That said the movie has a lot of Weeden. `ISMs behind as a person who loves JOSCELYN'S WORKS. You definitely see it especially in the dialogue which I absolutely adored and loved. I think this has the strongest dialogue in any of the movies. We've seen so far and also bizarrely like the jokes. The jokes are so good. They're great jokes. The whole like I understood that reference about the flying monkeys because Captain America definitely knew it the wizard of Oz way right like established theater Goer. Steve Rogers definitely saw wizard of Oz. A couple of times and told people to be quiet if they try anything during that film yeah It's so weird because like you know when you when you watch shows when you when you when you watch movies there's always this idea like setup and payoff. But like he does that with jokes like the ten dollar thing right like. That's something that was set up scenes earlier and pays off later and he does that several times throughout this movie and something I hadn't noticed before with Weedon but he's very good at that like this idea. Set up and off even down to dialogue in jokes which I think is part of the skill of what makes us movie excel is that there's things that happen later on that call back to early on whereas other movies are just like the joke is a joke. That's it we move on. We have the punchy dialogue and we go but there's a lot of layers and levels to to the stuff that goes on here and I think that's part of what made it so good amongst all the other things that made us so good and I think one of the things that made this watch of the movie for me so enjoyable and just in case you want wandering into the.

"I felt like I needed to because it's been a year since that happened, and yes, we've had other marvel movies, but those didn't make the same impact. And I felt like this was the film I wanted to millions myself with and again, I like that it ended in tragedy. I liked it ended in defeat. I did not know what this movie had and I think the few advertisements. I did see of this movie. We're very cagey about what they were showing us. I saw a avengers white suits. I saw Tony recording. Tearing message to pepper and I saw Thor grin daddy light, captain marvel. And that's all I could tell you having just finished our pet cemetery review where we all. Agreed. They showed way too much in that trailer. And getting a recent rise of Skywalker Star Wars. Trailer where as JJ as what to do they reveal far too little where I get nothing except Star Wars is back the Roussos and Kevin played advertising for endgame. Just right almost every scene. They showed was from the first half hour of the movie with a couple in the first hour, and maybe one or two only later in the film. You knew nothing about the plot. They successfully hid that there was all right, successfully is kind of questionable has to be. There's a green time travel stone. Well, yeah, I'd heard rumors since before Infinity war came out from people who just Papa Razzi see them filming on the streets of Georgia are like, hey, we have Chris Evans, and he's wearing that horrible suit from twenty twelve and because of the costumes they were wearing and everything people theorized time travel, but if you hadn't seen those photos, if you hadn't followed those leaks and those were the only leagues I had. I intentionally remain spoiler free. Good good. I was wondering if anybody did know things going in. I knew time travel and some friends at work asked me who did I think would die. That was the question. They wanted to know, of course. And I said, I think Tony stark will die. That's obvious. I think that captain America will travel back in time and stay with Peggy. And then I said, and I think they'll probably kill one or two extraneous people like Hawkeye, I was close to three right? I went so far as predict red skull would be the one to kill cap. That was where I was on that. But yeah, the real question was not what was going to happen. We all understand. It's in the title. This is the end of an era. We will never see these of injures a symbol this way. Again. The question is will it be a body count? Will it be like X men last stand where everyone got pissed off because all of their favorites ended up bloody on the ground. Or will they find a way that doesn't undermine the power of Infinity? The war to give a happy ending. Now. How excited were you guys for this film because I've got to be completely honest. My hype reached new levels that I didn't think possible. Let me put it this way. When I walked up to the house this morning. There was a new ironman vehicle in Arnie's driving Ono, I may have gotten the ironman Hyundai Kona. I went to LA before the movie opened I got an adventures tattoo while watching Finnity war. What is that? This is what they call the avengers illuminates symbol that all the original ventures got when twenty twelve's movie came out, there's a star for captain America. There's an a for ventures. There's a toxic symbol for hulk. All in a cool little design. There's an arrow for Hawkeye. There's the black widow symbol right there. Okay. Yeah. You know, what's cool about it? Is that not everyone is going to recognize it as of injuries marvel? Yeah. That's what I absolutely love about it. I then did something I have never done before. I went to the red or in this case purple. Carpet. I got out there at six AM. This is truly the biggest premier in history. I talked to some people at Disney. Disney owns El capitan theater. All of the premier's are El capitain theatre. Yeah. Yeah. You know, what I didn't know they have multiple premieres at the exact same time..

"I just saw one right up. That was like. Yeah. Avengers pretty much broke every conceivable record. Yes. -able they're taking into account. The fact that they like did a thing where some movie theaters are open twenty four hours to do like all night screenings someplace, I mean. It's like, yeah. It's gonna make more money. You gave it more time with an open theatre and more. They had to keep it open because it still had the highest Perth eater average at seventy five thousand dollars where the previous record was fifty nine. So. Yeah. Are you a fan? I I love him. I'm not diehard. I like love a superhero movie. But I haven't even seen this movie yet. But I saw him for new wars. And I've seen most of them movies. I think are except for captain America. I don't know why. When that one like, I think that guy's boring. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, look some nerd who gets jacked on roads and figures it up. Sure, doesn't he doesn't that? Like his deal. They give them some kind of experimental. Yeah. I remember that correctly. Then he's a little extra work steroid soap roles, really a bad. It's really a bad message for like young people. Right. Trying to avoid steroid use because I didn't read the book. So like when I saw that. I didn't know what his origin story was. And I was like, oh, that's what kept in America. Make you like you'll just pumped this dude up. He's like good bane. Right. Exactly. Yeah. But it also had the highest share the previous record was eighty four percent. It made ninety percent of the dollars at the global box office. What ninety percent of the money made at the box office was generated by injures game. And in China that number was ninety nine percent. Oh, so ninety nine percent of the tickets that were bought in China were for vendors and game. So that's something. That already jam was pointing out was is kind of unique. And probably the reason that this broke, you know, so many global records, at least is it just demolished all Chinese records. And to just tell you how into avengers of the people in China are there was a guy in Hong Kong who got beaten up for mentioning a spoiler as he left the theater. One woman will do you have any details on the manor, which is being somebody book fifty him. Did he just get you know, the wild smack around the spoiler? There's a photo going round on social media that shows him bloody outside the theater. It wasn't like you got pushed around. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. People there is another woman a twenty one year old from Ningbo China who started hyperventilating. And had trouble breathing because she was crying so hard during game and they had to give her oxygen. Relax, her emotions by appeasement was what the doctor by apiece. Is that our foreign policy when Hitler was in? Exactly what the fuck was. Wait. How do you? I'm sorry. It's like give them anything. They want. I've never even seen. Someone articulate and relaxed relaxed oceans by piecemeal this could be a bad. Translation, I'm not gonna lie to you. Yeah. But I just kinda like back though to of read like that that's a medical strategy. Look, what do you want? We immediately gave her and relaxed her emotions by Ps -ment, reducing her hyperventilation symptoms. Maybe the relaxing emotions by minute. We're just like, you know, none of the shit's real, right? Just actors. I don't know if that would help her. She was like also he's the iron, man. I didn't know and movie theaters in China screening and game every fifteen minutes Lega said ninety nine percent of all movie tickets that were bought this weekend. We're sold there. So one of the things that was going around in the media was that the reason the avengers are so successful as they don't do the cheap catering to Chinese interests like having, you know,.

"Skill. Ziprecruiter dot com slash skill. And we're back. Okay. So the first thing I kinda wanna do is do an inventory of the characters in the avengers franchise slash the marvel on samba movies, which includes captain America's civil war side. Now, these are often not the first movies that we see these characters in and we see crossovers and other MC movies, but these are the movies that these characters are attitude in these big samba cast marvel movies the point I will eventually make is that they keep adding a bunch of men and very few women. So for example in. The avengers from twenty twelve we've got iron man Tony stark. We've got captain America. Steve Rogers, we've got Thor. We've got hulk Bruce banner, we've got Hawkeye Clint Barton, those are the super people. Yeah. And then we've got from what I could tell from that. From the first vendors movie, we have three female characters who are identified or participant in the plot in virtually any way at all where we've got black widow we've got pepper who is lightly involved in these dark storyline. And then we've got Kobe's moulders who basically just gives lines of exposition to Nick, which sucks because I I mean, I mean, I'm sure it goes without saying that it is like kind of abysmal and frustrating that there are so many men who are introduced into this universe, and like Blackwood has not had her own movie..
