"That rita was giving herself up to the rape gang because she got away right like i think that she popped out somewhere else in the city snuck around and then caught up. That's that whole sequence. Didn't quite do it for me because the whole point of that kind of split is that larry is not a good person in that moment like he's watching out for number one and doesn't really care what happens to rita and the not having any consequences for that. I think really undermined the whole concept of it. Yeah so for me. I would say. That's my worst. Is the sewer sequence. Which is a shame because there's like a delightful little nightmare sequence within the sewer where larry's dead mom is hallucinated as floating by and then she vomits up rats. That's metal as hell but yeah that was pretty wacky. Although it can only take so far some people are gonna watch that scene and not realize that it's a dream or a hallucination because of the bad editing maybe thinking back about some side characters right yes so one of the most. We're talking about metal parts. Holy crap j. simmons listening to ave maria and reading script book. Simmons that sequence gave me chills. Jake as they should of had him play a major part because hold good lord that man can act it was i mean it wasn't. The scene wasn't really anything like the scene in the book. The book captured some of the spirit. He watches it on a video monitor right but i think it was way better. I think he was very cool. And they did little military thing and he reads from. What was that. But was it leaves of grass. I don't really know keats. Dude keats yup Yes i'm sorry i'm wrong. Spelled eats some good eats up up of that part so metal out very well done also. They didn't linger on the violence of it. They let it kind of being the viewers head yup yup. That's that's my my best part for me. It's either that or i'm going through changes. Those are the two that hit hardest for me. And i think it's a real testament to how how much the score is pulling this one along by the bootstraps. Let's through changes. It was just a moment in the score. I forget when exactly it happened. But it was a major moment of transition..

"His conversation going on on Facebook about the connection between Lucifer and Satan and how Milton probably made the connection more so than the Bible. Ryan. What do you think of that? I I've heard that as well. I heard that. You know, we we basically use a correlation between who was cast in the lake of fire who fell from heaven. But it was Lucifer. And we say that, of course, leaves her fell from heaven became the devil became Satan. And I just know I just wanted what the connection was there. Yeah, I I have a different interpretation, I think And I think many people all their interpretations are probably just is accurate. I think if you have Lucifer falling from heaven to earth, and then once loose of her arrives on Earth, he becomes the devil kind of a purveyor of sin in the material world. And then you have Satan with which is shaped Thanh, which is the adversary, which is close to Lucifer. Because Lucifer is the opposite. It is the false light. It is a nin version. You're talking about retrograde Venus. And I think that all three of these characters are basically one of the same, but they're just different. They're different expressions of the same chaotic order kind of like the different levels of hell and the different types of demons. Ultimately they all fun fall under the control of the Central Force, which you could again call the devil or, like all the orders of angels essentially fall under the order of God. Does that make sense? Yeah. I mean, we were talking earlier about the eye of the dragon that how it's definitely connected to Venus. There's also Ah Mary Connection to Venus Ave. Maria Stella. I believe that Isis, of course, is connected. There's Venus. There's a number of connections to the morning star number, connections to the light bringer. And the idea of what's in control. Now, what do we what we focused on? We're focused more on Venus. We are on Mars, which I find interesting. And as I said, before, we have four planets this year are this month, actually in retrograde. Which on astrology level is bad for business, meaning that we will see a lot of chaos in the month of October, But it certainly is going to throw things out of whack a lot worse if we see that all four planets those four planets that mentioned her in retrograde because you know you see well, my Mercury's in retrograde or by Mars is in retrograde. We got four letter now in retrograde a lot with Venus. So we see this reversal of fortune. We see this reversal of ah of everything, as was talked about earlier in the Ancients talk. About the reverse planet or the planet that screams across the sky. And this is where we get the the crossing or the cross. We also get Thoughts of her circle of US Vulcan, which is also a AH companion to the Sun, Planet X Comets, asteroids, all kinds of prophecies, the Bible's full of warnings. Future comet or asteroid impacts, Most importantly, from Christ is found in the New Testament, Peter and revelation to suggest a final cataclysmic event wherein the Earth has turned into a sea of fire in lava. And then, of course, this catastrophe seems to be falling Venus as well a few million.

It was a Christmas program and they were playing the Ave Maria and one of the little girls burst into tears, and the teacher ran over and said, What's the matter? What's the matter? And she said, That's the song they played at my daddy's funeral. He died in the war. The teacher had no idea that that little girl's father had fought in the war and had died. And that night, I said to my step, I'm a teacher. We can do better. We've got to do better to help our military kids. Biden's have a track record of healthy military families, and we've seen it with work that they've done with joining forces and how they were able Tio rally a country behind US war to defend our nation's care for them. There was nothing really to prepare me as a new military spouse on how to deal with stress. When people get married expert the growed with each other with multiple combat tours. There's no guarantee of any of those things. They're just a long laundry lists of uncertainties that we have to juggle. You know, Joe has always cared about military families. Ariel by Dean Friedman
"Everybody welcome back to the story Song podcast on accoring I'm Rachel Oakes, and the Michael Gazelle ever so we walked through the world of a story song and this week. We are looking into the mouth of madness. Earned this is. Ariel by Dean Friedman I mean before we get started with anything man I I heard this song for the first time about two hours ago. And all I have to say is what I just listened to. Yeah I could go into. Love it I also heard this on. I think it was on the seventy channel on Satellite Radio and yeah, much like lonely boy. It was definitely a like. What wait a minute? What is happening by this? Was this left me less angry. I was definitely far more delighted. Delight it's a delight. Well. It's the opposite where whereas lonely boy leaves out a lot of the story. Yeah, this is every single. detail. And I'm saying. This is. Lonely boy is. All story, no details this. There's no story this. Details. This is a ninety fashion magazine. Because this is details, there's nothing. have. So yeah, I like I, said I think this is the rare song that I do think a good song and yet I'd love it I really legitimately love this song, but also but again. Being fully aware that objectively dishonest, not good, and we're going to get more into into that and to to Misa. Friedman's career later on, but. Okay so the story is where in New Jersey. and. Our narrator, OUR PROTAGONISTS DEAN! We'll call him. meets a young lady at the mall He instantly falls in love with her again. We learned a lot of details like she's Jewish Does not see I mean that's fine, but it's not seem to. Matter one way or the other? and. He tells her that he's in a rock and roll band. She should come see it, she does. They go to dairy queen. His place. They Watch TV and they make love at the end and were Oh, enroll so total that will dean has fallen in love with this woman. Whose name is Ariel? We've also told that she has a beautiful singing voice at no point in the song she sing. and has nothing to do with anything that is the refrain of is how beautiful! So, what do they I don't way on the. Side! Berbie. Young? Sang binding Bahrain. Bob Bob. Mark. She was working for the breads grief. was. In. A cop she was looking to change, so was I. Let's start at the top here. He says hey, on the would start at the top as if it matters. We can start sideways. It really doesn't matter, but it's just a series of details and the order does not matter. Just, just for tradition, sake, it started. Says, way on the other side of the Hudson deep in the bosom of suburbia. I met a young girl. She sang mighty fine tears on my pillow and Ave Maria quite the rain. Definitely? End Ave. Maria the first thing I want to say. Is that so I believe? Dean lives in New Jersey. In Paris and we can discuss that in a moment, but it is sort of funny. How he saying way on the other side of the Hudson so that is oriented from New York City. From Manhattan. And yet, so it's in a way. He's almost seeing himself. Not as the central character in his own story in a way, or not in the central location like he's thinking of himself, as I'm on the other side of the Hudson Right. New York City like I it just I just find that. Hitting The impression that I got was that he was from New York. City and he went out to Jersey. Okay that is very possible. That's what I winning I. Wanted Sketch what I thought too, or he's. He's keeping in mind. His audience, which is probably clubs in New York City and they're like. If he just said parameters they'd be like. Where is that mythical place? Like. Any night paramus through the mall is on the other side of the Hudson. Oh, you mean New Jersey I never go there. Yeah and that's the other thing. That's funny, too, is that he doesn't say deep in New Jersey says on the other side of the Hudson right so again. It's like a you know that's the way so in from from you know some some manhattanite. Club Goer might even think of it. It's like Oh. That's on the other. That's across the bridge. Exactly I never go. I only see it from my penthouse apartment. But I've never actually been over there. So debate I gotTA, take. Half trained to get there no. There's no way this this hypothetical. We're talking about. They'll even know the term the Pat Oh you. Don't even know what your dot car service all the way. Yeah or at least a taxi, yeah! If for some reason, they have to go to Jersey. City but yeah. They are not familiar with with the path train. The train goes on a path I know. But the rest of it. I don't know what you're talking about. New Jersey.

So for the for the militias misinformation stuff. Obviously, it's a lot of stuff we've talked about. Before the the the ultimate goal is money even with Malware, the ultimate goal summit either to extort. You're to get information about them eventually the money, but for like misinformation, especially the militias when you talk about like what would the end goal? There is just a so chaos as individuals it nation states. With you on that one Kerry I don't know. So yeah. That one. I, I've seen misinformation used primarily again as as something to get someone to hand over money or two again. Unintentionally install a malicious package that could maybe steal information from them. Steal data, which then in turn again used for extortion right? That's that's what I've seen. I haven't seen a way to separate the militia information. As a as a vector from you know. What what all of these things are trying to do? WHICH IS EXTORT JER? Let's. Let's get into a little bit of the The technical aspects just a just a bit at the high level, so walk us through the types of like what types of now are we seeing? in how how they work? Yeah absolutely so we've encountered quite a few well. We should our bikes. And we have names to them as well, so let's just kind of go through them. We one recently called the Ave Maria with has taken uptick recently, and I'll be. Maria is a remote access Trojan basically successfully implemented. It allows a hacker to gain remote control capabilities of of your system. That means someone could steal your passwords. They could download your information they can even control your Webcam it's. It's really bad stuff. Another Dangerous Malheur that we've seen with an uptick is one called. It cannot only swipe your information from your machine, but it can also serve as. Sort of a first step to downloading more separate malware onto your machine, it's a two step process basically and then we've seen some others with Maine's got Loki bought. We've got net wired RC and They provide key logging features meaning that what you type is revealed to hacker, which again in turn could with a little bit of work be revealing your passwords that reveal that let someone gain access to your accounts. There's a little bit everything up there and they suck. You don't want them on your computer. How about how about ransomware is up? I mean that's been on the uptick for the last couple years. Just General I assume that that this situation is no different. Yeah, ransomware, you are absolutely correct. It has been on an uptick in recent years, and particularly what I think is pretty scummy. Again here is that. About last month we saw a couple of ransomware. Groups say that they would not attack healthcare systems. Some weird sort of. I. It's not even honor among the. It's the honor of the thieves. Explain it. I think within two weeks of that statement, there was a there was a group that ran one called May's I believe that that attack healthcare system with ransomware, and so it's like. I..

in an avalanche not something that we want to do i've seen them out west in the mountains and it's huge devastation it's a scary sight yeah so you don't want to be avalanched and then the transitive verbs just has these synonyms overwhelm and flood all right next we have avalon with capital a it is a noun from the thirteenth century a paradise to which arthur is carried after his death is that king arthur do you think that's what it sounds like bud i never heard of this maybe we have to do some research i i don't know much about arthur story so yeah this is new to me he pulled the sword out coffee company in chicago called intelligentsia but i never knew i guess i thought it was just a word that they had made up i had never yeah no it's it's the smart people not well read that's for sure part of the reason why i'm doing this podcast let's see avant-gardism is a noun all right we have an avant-garde ist is also noun now we have the second form of avant garde it is an adjective from century excessive of or insatiable desire for wealth or gain ooh yeah greedy gather synonyms greediness and cupidite cupidite who pitted we know that we're now i don't know that it must be similar to greet greediness okay so i think i just learned the word of the thing that i dislike the the most avarice oh yeah yeah i kinda wanna forget that word but i feel like i need to remember what that is because i've never ever heard it i remembered the the kind of evil part of it and forgot that it was attached to money but yeah yeah it's all about greed right stuff i think about all the time where do you feel like you learned that word in a poem or a booker is that a memory i guess that's it's a weird question to ask where you heard this word i don't know but probably high school will maybe remember that this is the first time i was aware that i heard this work all right we are going to move onto a various or ever know avaricious avaricious thought it was a various av a our a CIO US i feel so stupid sometimes when i'm doing that because there's so many words i don't know but yeah now that sounds like it's filled with avarice exactly yeah adjective from the fifteenth century a greedy greedy of gain ex excessively acquisitive especially in seeking to hoard riches synonym is covetous avaricious lee is an adverb and avaricious nece is now i'm going to put that in my vocabulary sound so much like delicious it's it was like a you know a more sensuous sort of word for this thing yeah i would feel very that word but that that might happen all right next we have a vascular of vascular so it's a a word of vascular unfamiliar with that you're yeah ah vascular system oh and we forgot to mention that you were a science teacher we should mention that i was a science teacher or three decades pretty close to that's a while yeah that's what ages was middle school i've taught well five through twelve but mostly the middle school physical science and chemistry that is an a quite an age to go through a you know eleven twelve thirteen that probably was hard and i love that age because they're so fun and you couldn't do boring things or you would totally totally lose them so i had to make class interesting it's the transitional time between childhood and adulthood and you have no idea what's happening to your thing yeah that's right yeah you feel like you're kind of an adult but you're not quite there yet and so yeah keeping things interesting i think is really yeah yeah brought rice bryce is to play with and made solar cars and created inventions and would really on roller skates well on occasional sola weiner okay yeah occasionally well it's correct so this is why is she is very familiar with these words that i'm not familiar with like ask vascular it is an adjective from circa nineteen hundred having few or no blood vessels as in a vascular tissue and a invesco liberty is a noun well well now we take a little bit of a turn we have vascular necrosis or necrosis ooh ooh not good death of cells yeah a noun from nineteen fifty three necrosis of bone tissue due to impaired or disrupted blood vessel missile as from traumatic injury or disease i can't really imagine what it's like to go through that well i suppose you could have just a little bit of that when you let's drew wound owned right some of the skin dyes are yeah some tissue is and then a heels but if a big way that sounds bad yeah so just because the word the cross is in it doesn't necessarily mean that it it's body wide it it can be small it could be in cells dine location right which is happening happening all the time right next we have a vast a. v. a. s. t. it is a verb from sixteen eighty one a nautical command and to stop or cease you have say a vast yeah i can hear pirates sang this oh zest let whatever comes after that yes i can hear it in that pirate all right next week have avatar this is a noun from a seventeen eighty four there's a bunch of evidence for this let's see one the incarnation of a hindu deity as vishnu number two a an incarnation incarnation in human form to be an embodiment as of a concept or philosophy often in a person three a variant phase or version asia in a continuing basic entity for an electronic image that represents and is manipulated by a computer user as in a computer game and i may have to belch i do that every once in a while sorry i'm human let's see the says this is from sanskrit atara which means descent from avatar ati which means he descends and that is from away and he crosses over and there's more at UK's this do you know that we're u. k. s. e. a. s. eight no i'm not familiar with that and also the word through so somehow etymologically those are related pleaded but what i'm amazed about is how old that word is because we think of the modern youths and movie avatar and it all sounds so up to date eight and then you find out it's from the seventeen hundreds yeah well and that's the english version of the word who knows how much further back it goes yeah i mean it says it's sanskrit so yeah this is a very old idea and concept you and we think of it in terms of our technology our our little picture on our phone or whatever right yeah that's an old word next we have avant a. v. a. u. n. t. u. r. my avant janet sorry bad that joke or this is a an adverb from the fifteenth century we just have synonyms away and hence h. e. a. h. e. n. c. e. it is middle english literally means forward and there's more at the word of or the prefix anti now on my vocabulary bularian no next we have a v. c. all caps this is an abbreviation for automatic volume control i guess that's some feature that maybe things have they automatically changed the volume make sense oh yeah electronics sound equipment yeah yeah if it's too loud you wanted to be a certain level all right next we have a v. dp all lower case it is an abbreviation for and i think this is a word we had in the last episode somewhere where avoid dupla a virtue pa a french word av p sorry av o. r. d. the u. p. o. s. i can't remember what that means but we read published somewhere oh no yeah that's a fun french word and let's see next we have a few more eight a v. e. orcas also be ave ave it is the i i form it is a noun from the thirteenth century one and expression of greeting or leave taking synonyms are hail and farewell like ave maria ah yes yes i don't know the words of maria feel like i shouldn't i don't either i know the tune but that's about it i'll have to look up those lyrics it's now or at number two it says it's often capitalized it is the synonym ave.

"Of all impressions are those we receive I and so we would urge with all earnestness that your our first selection of records should contain at least some of the world's big music art is art no matter what form it may take and those who are sincere in their musical opinions while no more despise the lighter and more Popular Music Jake then they will despise good music which is the product of other kinds of feeling and rhythms in certain moods roots and at certain times there is this much inspiration to be derived from ragtime as there is from a Beethoven symphony or the thunderous under his emotions of a great opera each produces its effect in its own way and each supplies a very real human need but because they are so different in the form of their appeal they need to be treated somewhat differently. The fact of the matter is that popular music is usually built up on one of a few well recognized formulae it does what so you expected to do not consciously but by association we have learned to accept certain patterns in music as as we have learned to expect certain patterns in close since there is nothing essentially different in any of them they are easy to learn and so easy to get tired of there is however a very real pleasure in picking up the tune for a few days. We are quite happy whistling or singing the new song but once the new Popular Song is learned then what your own experience will tell you and that is why we urge that in your first collection of records you secure a number of the classics a six or semi classics with which you are familiar familiar that is precisely the point the door Thomas One said that popular music was familiar music and that is the unassailable truth a Beethoven Symphony. Anthony may be as popular as the Rosary when enough people have become as familiar with it and yet it may be a classic of the classics Wchs Parenthetically it might be set at this point that for those who do not sing or play the Victoria is by far the quickest first and simplest medium through which to pick up the new music to illustrate by a concrete example so long letty or tipperary keep a family full to the brim with bright pleasant joyful motions for quite some little time I am it may be days or weeks. It might even be months but clements record of the bear sues from Jocelyn then Elman's record of the Schubert's Ave Maria or any one of a thousand we might mention while smooth the wrinkles from your brow the triple furrows from your mind ten years from today as surely as they will now when the music of all the world is at your disposal it is almost impossible to refrain from bathing heart and soul and body and but remember that to become saturated with anything is to lose the fine edge of enjoyment with too frequent sequent hues the most valuable remedy may lose its healing virtues definite measurable physical effects could be produced by music and the gist of the matter is that one should become familiar enough with music to understand and enjoy it it but never familiar enough to induce the loss of it's a fact here it when you need to hear it and it will will continue to be a thing of joy not for days or weeks off through the years personal taste varies more or perhaps in music than in any other art but in a general way it follows much the same broad channels and in in any case the victor record catalogue since it actually does contain almost all the music of the world by the world's greatest experience of musical art is a treasure house of untold satisfaction and keeps the whitest possible scope for personnel selection. The Victoria is not one instrument but all of them it is a voice choice a violin a trombone or a symphony orchestra according to your will and in making a selection off-record full advantage should be taken of this most extraordinary privilege making up a troll program. I'm for the entertainment of friends calls for just the same variety and emotional balance as the professional musician strives to introduce into his own programs but in this you as your own concert manager enjoy a degree of latitude holy holy beyond the reach of any single artist and any manager for Africa branch of Music every type of music music and every medium of musical expression may be brought into play by the simple expedient of having a sufficiently the barge and sufficiently varied collection of records in giving operatic programs or in playing operatic records occurred for your own satisfaction the Victoria Book of the opera we'll be an added source of pleasure and satisfaction Ford affords. It's a clear concise understanding off all the well known operas both is to music plot and dramatic action so then to the pleasure derived from operatic records may be similarly heightened by listening to the music with a libretto which gives the foreign words used by the singer and an English translation of them. Those who are unskilled in languages usually experienced experienced some difficulty in pronouncing the names of composers artists operas and Opera Characters and there is an undeniable satisfaction satisifaction in being able to pronounce such words correctly.

"Welcome back. L Rushbone cutting edge. Great to have you witnessed grabs Ave Maria. This is the turtle Mitch McConnell. The Senate majority leader this morning on the Senate floor always saying is a meltdown. Absolute Belleville, an inability to accept the bottom line conclusion on Russian interference from the special counsel report, which said the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government, and it's election and activities can exhaustive investigation and nothing who established offensive full conspiracy theory that democratic politicians and TV talking heads had treated like a foregone conclusion canal told everyone there'd been a conspiracy between Russia and the Trump campaign yet on the central question special counsel, finding is clear case. Closed case closed. You know, there's a message there. Speaker Pelosi don't bring your impeachment trial over here because it ain't gonna happen. But remember sucker Pelosi? If you missed the first hour Pelosi is out there saying that she's warning her Democrats not to fall for this trick that Trump is playing on Trump is Golding them into trying to impeach him. Because he needs to solidify his base, and she's warning her peeps. Do not vote for this. Madam speaker Trump's base already solidified more solidified than any base you've ever seen her had. And it doesn't need to be solidified further. But I mean this. Don't let get away with it. He's goading us is us into impeach him. As though they're powerless. There is I want to Eric couple soundbites Devon newness. We all Devon notices a member, congressman, California. He ran the house. See I get these committees confused. It's the committee that pencil heads. Now. The chairman of he ran it when the Republicans had the majority in Devon newness single handedly. Is the person who exposed for once and all that the dossier is all they ever had on Donald Trump. It's the only thing they used at the Pfizer court to get their warrants. If all they ever had it was Devon newness who enabled all the rest of us to say with great confidence than Muller was appointed. And shows up at his office and asks Komi for the investigative file and opens it and there's nothing in it. They never had a shred of evidence on any of this. And it's Devon newness and his dog in pursuit which has revealed us, and he has been desperately trying to get Rosenstein and Trump to declassify all the documents. That would finally spell out. How all of this began. He was on FOX Sunday morning. Features futures with Maria Barsha Romo. And I've got a couple of soundbites I want you to hear. She said you send a letter late Friday to the heads of the FBI, the DOJ NSA CIA, tell us about this letter that we spend thirty plus million dollars on this as taxpayers, and they can't even tell us who Joseph myths it is. So we're getting to the bottom of this. So we believe he has ties to the State Department actually, our State Department had him in the United States capitol in two thousand seventeen and remember why is it so important because molar the molar dossier team, they essentially make this guy out to be a Russian asset under the control of Putin said that he has ties to these Russians sound familiar. So this is the original nation of this investigation. And it seems like miss it has all awful lot of ties to US British an Italian intelligence services. Let me translate miffed sued is the professor from Malta who was an SS. Utilized by the FBI and Stephan helper in the George popadopoulos episode. It was myth soon. Who supposedly I told popadopoulos that the Russians had some dirt on Hillary Clinton. Not emails had some dirt on Hillary Clinton. Now, the FBI and the Muller team have labored very hard to try to imply because they can't say with certainty that myth sued is a Russian agent. They want mitt soon to be a Russian agent because that would then prove collusion. Masud talking to popadopoulos myth soon Russian agent. But he's not they can't prove it. Was interviewed by the special counsel. And it's more than likely he was a a UK or or FBI asset, but wasn't Russian. And that's that's the importance of his name. Varsha Romo then said, well, look, they put all of these sources all across the world to get to members of the Trump campaign like they reached out to George popadopoulos. There's a lot of talk about how popadopoulos he caused the FBI in the Muller team problems because he didn't tell them about the relationship with myths it, and how myths it had offered emails now, this is in two thousand seventeen okay, this is in the molar dossier. So this is all about in two thousand seventeen how popadopoulos harms their investigation. Right. Well, how is it? Then that the FBI or supposedly the FBI or other assets. No to continually ask popadopoulos about emails about Clinton emails in two thousand sixteen. This is remains a fundamental point. I know you're probably no rush not again. But yeah. Because they laboured hard the FBI DOJ Komi his crowd laboured hard to try to convince people that the investigation and the Trump and Russia only began. The end of July twenty sixteen when George popadopoulos was running around telling people that he knew that the Russians had dirt on Hillary Clinton. But again popadopoulos only knew this because friends of the FBI including miffed sued and Stephan help her head told him. And then he had the fateful evening in the bar with the Australian ambassador and told him not emails that the Russians had dirt on Hillary Clinton Downer goes and tells the bit it's a.

"Friday night. He had a great week. Get into your weekend. Big plans this weekend. Jerry, none had a lot going on this weekend. Yeah. A lot been running around like a crazy person. Territory share? I mean, I just went to a huge event at the field museum. Lot of food. I had some really good chicken. Oh my gosh. And I hang out with with bachelor Colton Underwood, and he was just awesome from Washington, Illinois. And he was just really great ask him where he's going to see the Super Bowl. He said his grandma's house. Yeah. So here's a good guy and had a lot of food there. They had at full set down dinner. But I wanted to come here and be with you. So. What part are you thought to yourself? You know, what he probably ended the show by himself? This a rare opportunity. I didn't think about that. Well, okay. I'm out by. No, you love coming in, Jerry. Now. I do have a great time. So yeah. So yes back going on. I went to the singer called, Emily king. She played at Lincoln hall. So it's been a crazy today. There's more tomorrow I've been to Lincoln hall. I saw I saw me play in Lincoln hall with all the clock feel. It goes the oldest person in there, but I had a wonderful time. Yeah. This was really a diverse crowd. I was really impressed with her. She's a little like prince, I I mean super familiar with this artist, Emily king but dressed kind of like pranced at some funky kinda music. A really interesting different crowd of people. So sold out. Talents that you haven't shared yet me. Yeah. I sang in the chorus and Tennessee, and yeah, did you really? Yeah church. I think solos and church and everything Tom. Do you want to hear Jerry sing do? Yeah. If you got the chops, give me a little Ave Maria. Maybe oh Lord. I don't think I can do that. Right. What about the camp town, ladies, that's my spoons outright complaining. Hampton, ladies sing this done. Do you come on? I mean, my greatest hits, sir. George Michael's, faith, brilliant. Now, some little Ricky Martin can sink some living LA, Vida loca. Bo we're here til one. Why don't we table that for now? Let me warm up. Yeah. Those cross earrings that he used to wear. Yes. Let let let's let's let's let's table that. And we're going to jump into the heavy so okay. Tuesday earlier this week, two AM and. All right. So you have an African American man getting off the subway at two AM, jussie smollet popular. Why people watch empire you watch empire. I was on it. Okay. We really empire. I did. I did some extra work in the coming out. So to the first season. Well, so and then I've interviewed Jesse like, okay. So what what the vied with him? I mean, he is just a straight up a really nice guy. Like interviews. His sister for WGN America. Shell called underground name's journey. Okay. But he I just interviewed a few months ago. And then just talk to Terachi who's also on the show, and as they're making statements about it just this is two weeks ago. I talked to her so I feel that just from his vibe. And I think we should get into whether people think it's true or not because I want an admin interested. If people think all of it's true, or there's some problems at the story or what they feel so he leaves a subway restaurant near as apartment in St. or street or Ville, you know, just downtown. Very affluent part of the city. It's two in the morning to people approach him, they're yelling, racial, and homophobic slurs. He's a gay man. I don't know if they knew that or not maybe they supposedly they came up and said are you that from right there? That's how they started. Okay. So and so then they reportedly scratched him up doused him with bleach. And then placed a rope around his neck while proclaiming this is mega country. Okay. So. My we can have the question. Whether or not you believe the story to me. What's more interesting is? That we we all live in the city. Right. Even if we live in the suburbs. And I'm just curious what people think of how Chicago. Has come along has progressed over time. And how inclusive of a city is it. From 'cause I I see some good. And I also see that we're in. We are still dependent. I think we are pretty neighborhood Centric right there. Let's put it this way. I think all of us. And I don't want to make this a right or left or anything seen. I'd just like to see I just think there could be. A lot more diversity throughout the city. Yes. Then than we have now. What what I don't have any solutions on exactly how to get us there. But that's something. I would like to see I mean, I came from the south, and I moved up here because I liked the diversity of the city. Right. So for me, it's always keeps growing and growing. And I love all that. But people were really shocked that this could happen in Chicago that this c-, I don't find it. I find it shocking. Well, look, there's attacks in the city all the time. This goes on a whole 'nother level when you're when you're talking about bringing out a rope. I mean, that's that is that is. So unbelievably uncomfortable, and you can hide behind a red hat and act like. You're I'm I'm aligned with with whatever you think the president's aligned with it. That's that's not. It's just your. It's not it's not. I'm not listening. I'm not the biggest support of the president. That's not fair to him. It's not it's ridiculous. So he did make a comment. Trump made a comment about you know. Which was surprising because people are waiting for them to say something. So he basically said that I can tell you is horrible. I've seen it last night. It's horrible doesn't get worse. Right. And then he moved onto. Yeah. Of course, then he went back to the wall. I just I just people that are hiding behind the red hat and acting like these are things that somehow some way is being told that his okay now, it's completely and utterly ridiculous. Now, the rhetoric could be a lot better coming out of there. A lot of the time. But still I mean, come on your at the end of the day. It's on you. You can't you can't sit there and try to act like this is okay now, let's get an Uber. Driver mad in here. Uber driver. It says that she one hundred percent. The story is real do. You know, do you have any information here? I do not have any information. Let's assume for a second eight was state, which I do not believe you really think somebody would go that far I'll say frame to. Bleach on. Burning..

"Three works from the ancient tradition of southern Italian. Trance known as Toronto were Taryn Tele dances that were meant to put the the woman who had allegedly been bitten by the tarantula spider into a state of trance where she could dance the poison away. That is the Toronto project multicultural group led by the Italian pianist and composer Ludovico a now d- not sue not sue is the name of that featuring the fine west African kora player Biloxi soco and the west African lute player drilled it Camara among others. And before that we heard the band out of sullen Tino in southern Italy called concentrate. Greg Conaco Sahlin Tino their music looks not just to the Toronto tradition. But also to the language of that area, the echoes of ancient Greek that can still be heard in the language and. And perhaps in the music from their album Quaranta. We heard the piece called Toronto. And at the beginning of the set we heard some music from Allesandro bologna who now lives in the states and has for a couple of decades now and is one of the leading figures in the revival of interest in the Toronto or Tarantelli tradition from her album, called Taranto dance of the ancient spider. We heard a piece called Ave Maria de Monserrat, which actually comes from the black Madonna tradition as mentioned earlier that is a kind of pre Christian earth goddess tradition that has a thin veneer of Christianity on top of it. And that song, you know, Ave Maria this demand Surat, it's a religious text. But you know, these people weren't dummies if they wanted to have this kind of sensual dance experience that would attract a few raised eyebrows from the local clergy, but maybe. Not if you were singing Ave Maria. In a moment. We'll hear another piece from this record by Alessandra baloney will also hear some music from the island of Sardinia before we come back to southern Italy. And here's some more of these Toronto pieces, but Sardinia is a thing unto itself with some very interesting vocal traditions that we want to give a listen to Alessandra bolognaise piece that will here in a moment is will form a kind of a neat bridge to that Sardinian stuff? So stay with us. I'm John Shafer. And you're listening to new sounds Marlene from Long Island city watched the new congress gets.
