Put posts on facebook and twitter asking for comments from the public on their draft of this new procedure. To. Shut us down if they deem it necessary. CDP says quote it is seeking feedback. ooh It's a matrix on a new matrix to help identify when county should be in the protect our neighbors safer at home and stay at home levels once implemented, this will streamline the process of moving through different levels when counties qualify based on their objective scientific metrics. CPA says, well, the final guidelines will be available shortly after the comment period, can you tell me why it is? And again, I am not minimizing nor am I. discounting the fact that we have what six million confirmed cases across the nation of Covid nineteen? Over one hundred and eighty thousand deaths that indeed his tragic. But the bottom line is, why is it? We never hear? What is the parallel to that conversation? That is making decisions based if you're seeing a spike in hospitalizations, not just in the number of cases and more to the point. When's the last time that you heard in the mainstream media that eighty to eighty five percent I've heard an even higher number eighty to eighty five percent of us that have had cove nineteen. had very minimal symptoms. Oh. Perhaps we had some. Yesterday upset or we had. A runny nose and flu like symptoms maybe we were a symptomatic but. To. Eighty five percent of US survived covert one, thousand, nine hundred. But they don't talk about that particularly in an overheated political year because well, it just doesn't fit the narrative meanwhile. Back CDP. Once. Again, those final guidelines. Whether we should be in protect our neighbors safer at home or stay at home levels. These will be available shortly after the comment period. Deadline for submitting feedback through their online. Only response form is tomorrow. September third at noon. Representative Patrick Neville Republican out castlerock in an interview Monday with complete. Colorado. Said, we're what five months now seems like a lifetime. The average person is supposed to read through all this and comprehend it and develop their own feedback and get this back by noon on the third. Crazy. It's comical. Now one of the parts of this CD PHP made tricks that representative state representative naval is very concerned over is the inordinate delay in allowing counties to fully. And here is how polluted and complex. I mean stay with me here we're GONNA get into the weeds. CPI is proposing to keep sixteen categories of public venues at reduced capacity wait for it for nearly a year. Neville set for a county to get back to one hundred percent even if they don't have a single covid nineteen case. Can you name that? County Sky County. It would take ten months to get back to full economic capacity. This comes on the heels of getting news. On Monday that our unemployment insurance fund is insolvent. So once again, bear with me here. The lowest level of the new five level? Matrix is called protect our neighbors and is available to counties that have zero to twenty five new cases per one hundred, thousand people over a two week period of positivity rate of five percent less, and that also meets quotes. All eight close quote of the Matrix is protect our neighbors metrics. Of which the information provided only fix How convenient? At the lowest level, the list of occupancy restrictions in sixteen categories of US begin at fifty percent occupancy and a maximum of five hundred people. Oh, and then there's the footnote on the table. It says quote protect our neighbors starts at fifty percent every four weeks the status has maintained a county may increase capacity by five percent. Hugh Rube Goldberg, who can understand any of this? Neville has been trying for months to pull the reins on Governor Police and his authority to act without legislative oversight and to get the decision making on Covid nineteen response back into the hands of the state legislature. See the problems. Actually arose way back in two thousand twelve. When the legislature passed the Colorado Emergency Declaration Act this vastly increased the governor's powers especially over epidemics and public health emergencies. Neville. said it advocated the Colorado legislature's responsibility wants an emergency is declared to the governor that he says. Violates the state. Constitution. He filed lawsuit. And the State Supreme Court declined to hear it. Our state constitution never went on to say. Says Oh a little civics lesson here we have three separate branches of government and article three clearly states that forbids any of those branches from. That role to a different branch. It's exactly what they did. He's really made himself king police by becoming the legislature and the executive branch all in one. Nephew Neville has long argued that Pulisic's decision during the covid nineteen pandemic have not been well thought out. See if this sounds familiar. Neville says seems like we get a new model, every two weeks from the governor's office, but it seems like we get a new model across the board. Throughout this entire pandemic, the story keeps changing I get the science keeps changing, and so we are responding to the science. But what science are we are we responding to the Boudou science or the actual science? When you look at those metrics when you look at those models. They model worst case scenarios they're not supposed to be accurate. Back to Mr Neville. We have not gotten any clear lines on what metrics he's actually trying to meet since the start of the pandemic it was all about. Making sure. that. We don't overwhelm our hospital system. Never went, and that's an important. That's an important component of the overall decision making process right? But here's the bottom line. We.

"Well. Commerce Department will issue the latest reports on the economy of this morning right around six thirty to be exact, and sadly it's expected to be a pretty ugly sight six, twenty, five down thirteen, ten, Kfi a thirteen ten KFI. K.. Dot Com northern Colorado's voice mornings with Gail, the Auto Collision Specialists Studios. That, first reading on second quarter Gross Domestic Product is estimated to show a plunge at an annual rate of thirty four point one percent is expected to be the biggest drop ever recorded. Now, in case you're wondering the first quarter showed a five percent decline. Now, the economy facing somewhat of a dim outlook has a resurgent coronavirus intensifies doubts about any sustained recovery for the rest of the year although you have any number of talking heads economists that might disagree with that assessment huge plunge in consumer as people stayed home and avoid. Avoid shopping traveling or gathering crowds as the virus raged as expected to show a plunging April to June quarter depressed activity in such areas as business investment, home construction, and government spending. Also likely contributed to the worst quarterly contraction dating all the way back to one, thousand, nine, hundred, forty, seven. Now, most analysts expect the economy to manage a sharp bounceback and the current july-september quarter, perhaps as much as seventeen percent or higher this on an annual basis, but with the rate of confirmed corona virus cases now rising in A. A many many states, more businesses being forced to pull back on reopenings and well, the Republican Senate proposing to scale back the government's aid to the unemployed. The economy could well worsen in the months ahead. Analysts warned that the outlook could darkened still further if Congress fails to enact enough financial aid to replace that expiring six hundred, dollar a week, federal boost unemployment benefits, or provide sufficient help for businesses and state and local governments. Now, as we talked about it, some length Senate Republicans released that one trillion dollar plus proposal on Monday. Monday now compare and contrast to that three, trillion dollar messier. The houses past that leaves a pretty Jain normal gap for Democrats and Republicans to bridge as some elements of Congress's earlier emergency relief programs run out, and it seems as though. Well, there's no deterrent on on the hill and this as well. August recess is right around the corner. Now, on the topic of unemployment, the Labor Department is expected to say the number of claims for unemployment benefits rose for the second week in a row to one point four, five, million. From, one point, four, one, six, million, the prior week since the coronavirus lockdowns began in mid March, some fifty two, point, six, nine, million people have filed for jobless claims. An additional one, point, four, five, million would lift that total to fifty, four, point, one, four, million, or thirty, three point, eight percent of the workforce. Reports, Scotch, a pretty cautionary tale of the economy with weekly applications for unemployment benefits. Still topping one million and consumer confidence. No surprise here falling rather sharply with big declines in Michigan Florida Texas and California, all of which have suffered a resurgent in confirmed virus cases. Economists regard increased government aid as essentially stopgap action to keep the recession from deepening further. The most critical need they agree is to control the virus though most likely a vaccine won't be widely available until next year at the earliest again, Commerce Department will issue. that. Latest report on the economy just minutes from now, and we'll take a deep dive into those numbers on just about an hour from now, when we're joined by Keith Wineman presidential. Management. Just to give us a little bit of insight and analysis, but coming up socialism's empty promises have seemingly captivated a generation of young people across the country. It was a little strange as most things aren't era of Covid, nineteen with the Cardboard Fan, base and piped-in organ, music and the. Laugh track or the fan track whatever you WANNA, call it that didn't quite match up with the accident on the field, but at least it was baseball. Yeah I felt the same way and I think the. Teams, did a pretty good job of trying to make it feel like there was fans in the stands, and they were doing some cheering You're right. It wasn't the way you'd expect it, but at least it was baseball back, and we can watch their favorite players now all this is in jeopardy, and of course we have all the other sports. Coming up coming out, show what's going to happen? Yeah, okay, well changing gears. Let's talk about the the Heels Act The heels act standing for health economic assistance, liability, protection and schools Let's take a deep dive into what that looks like. Yeah so first of all I I WANNA start off by saying. If. We take a look at this. Second really got a round of stimulus from an economic standpoint. It really is not needed I would say this now. A political standpoint it is needed, and that's why it's going to go through. So why do I? Why do I say it isn't needed? So the economy was doing exceptionally well in January February the virus it. We had a shutdown We plunged into recession. Congress passed a first rounder stimulus nearly three trillion dollars with all the phases involved. It is working splendidly. It went into got into the hands of. The Americans in the month of May I believe the recession ended on April thirtieth. Month of May wasn't very strong recovery. Why do I say that? We created two point eight million jobs in May. That's now granted. We were way down, but we're looking at the speed of the recovery, and it is going very well so two point eight million jobs that doubled the monthly record. in addition to that retail sales obviously plummeted during the recession. Increased eighteen percent in the month of May so may was real strong. How June? June we added four point six million jobs that nearly doubled the record we said the month before retail sales were up about eight percent. There's a couple other indicators industrial production and manufacturing all look very very positive, so we're looking at a v-shaped recovery. Now hit killing I. There's an increase in a number of cases mostly in the. South Florida Texas California Oklahoma. Et cetera some. Places are shutting down, so there's fear. Are we going to slide back into recession? I don't think so I think. One piece of eight and we don't have much yet, but last Thursday. The new unemployment claims which I expected to skyrocket because everybody's being laid off or so, they say in the press only went up slightly slam. Up Yeah lightly so I think. When the July jobs number comes out which is the first week and August I. Think you're GonNa see a probably about a million jobs added, and it's positive, so the bottom line is the economy is recovering. I don't think we need anymore. Stimulus and we don't have the money. Before. This virus hit. The federal government's deficit would have been one trillion dollars, so we're spending a trillion dollars more than we're bringing in a tax revenue this year before the virus it. We just passed. The three did pass a three trillion dollars stimulus package that takes the deficit this year up to four trillion dollars now they're talking about another one or two trillion. We're going to be saying five to six trillion dollar deficit this year alone now. Most people say well. That doesn't affect me out of I. Don't want to feel that. And there is some truth to that, but what's happening is. the public debt, which is a total of all deficits. We've ever run up before this year which twenty three trillion or adding four five six? Whatever we're adding this year making the twenty eight twenty nine trillion dollar problem, most economists will tell you if the public that is less than one years GDP can carry it. Won, this year's GDP will be slightly over twenty trillion. We have a debt that'll approach twenty nine trillion. Trouble in future, right? The interest expenses alone even I went straight to low are in the four hundred billion dollar range, and and climbing. That's less money. We can spend each year on better programs. We don't need anymore. Stimulus economically politically. This is an election year as we know, and both parties want to say look. We're the ones that got us out of this so up passing this. All right so so you and I have taught some length about the stimulus. Palooza, and now we've got stimulus Palooza two point. Don't get me wrong. A lot of people are hurting on a multitude of levels as a result of all the. Shutdown I mean some businesses will never open again so I? Don't begrudge anyone. Any dollars in their pocket, but the problem that we talked about was people being incentivized to stay home instead of getting back to work now the Republican proposal as I understand, it will slash that six hundred dollar weekly jobless benefit boost to just two hundred dollars weekly through September. Now I understand what you're saying Professor Butler that it is a political year, and well everything has been politicized, but you have to wonder. Will the Democrats come to the table on this one. Yeah I. Think what's going to happen is that they were looking? In fact, they passed A. Trillion dollar stimulus package the Republicans in the Senate have about a one trillion dollars. So now you have to negotiate and I'm not sure where we'll end up. However with that extra unemployment compensation, you're probably going end up at about four hundred dollars. They want six that the Republicans. Want two hundred. Probably going to split the difference in end up around four. You bring up an excellent point gail. By giving people six hundred dollars a week. More than two-thirds of the unemployed people are earning more money, not working than going.

Yes, I am a puppy lover. Have always been always will be and I understand that well. Puppies can be a little bit exuberant, right? Our puppy broody. Low Shitsu Just turned is about a year and four months now and we call him the Rudin Nader. To leave things alone, but unfortunately when you sign on for dog ownership. Sign on for and I don't know the back story of this. I don't know a maybe they own a dog and the got frisky with another dog, and they wound up with puppies. The story is, but there is no justification or rationalization for animal cruelty. And sometimes. Jake! Your hadn't say well. There goes another pair of shoes. It's just part and parcel of being a pet owner. But I digress. This happened about eleven fifteen a m July eleventh. And as I said earlier. When this guy, allegedly dumped these two dogs at the side of the road well, he picked the exact right spot to do it. Because a trail camera captured the footage this as fifty-nine-year-old Brent Moss fifty nine years old. Wouldn't you think that he knows better, or perhaps he just doesn't care. I don't know. The puppy is coming off the side of the road and going down where you, what are you doing? Where are you going? And yes I'm anthropomorphized here, but the bottom line is the dog saying wait a minute I. Where are you going? Let me back in the truck. Puppies remained on the side of the road through most day. Temperatures climbed above ninety five degrees. One of the puppies was nearly run over by a delivery truck about six PM. That evening a passing driver stopped and picked the puppies. The question. Why didn't this man? Who allegedly abandoned these puppies on the side of the road. Rent Moss Age fifty nine once again. Who should know better? Who should have said Hey, we can't take care of these puppies I know what the family circumstances are, but the bottom line is. This is callous. It's evil. It transcends cruelty. Says a lot about this person's character in my very estimation. If you put him in the truck. Why didn't he just take them to the humane society? Instead of consigning them to almost certain death. Fortunately. A Good Samaritan intervened. Pick the puppies up. So the Weld County Sheriff's Office strike team got the footage from the trail camera to track down Moss in an interview with Deputies Maas readily admitted to abandoning the puppies. They had them Dedza rights though, didn't they? Moss agreed with the deputies. The puppies likely would have died if it weren't for the Good Samaritan, he stopped to save them.
