"Dot com slash hawk Anyways something more interesting than winning super bowls. I guess maybe maybe not off season workouts. I know that supposedly you guys kind of started your offseason workouts this week doing like zoom meetings and stuff. I'm just curious how how that Holland that is working out because that has to be so interesting trying to get Sixty plus knuckleheads all on zoom at the same time trying to listen to coach talks in the offseason that most people don't pay anyway. Yeah definitely definitely different. Procedure is both you know than how how normally is just so weird again like talking to someone over Zoom said being there you know in the meeting room being able to write your ideas down and go back and forth over it. But I'm in kind of stop neither do of before or right after the draft because I went to a school that has a quarter system Kind of do the same thing before my rookie year. So kind of in a way like I've done it before so I know it's you know. Obviously not as good as being in person but still you can at least understand the verbiage and you know how how we want to do things. Have the browns playbook yet yup no I? They gave me a playbook. So I just try over there just looking looking through a lot of those past concepts you know going through outside zone game a little bit but do they do just like Like playbook installation kind of stuff or are you guys doing like the strength and conditioning stuff too? Like a straight coach on zoom taking you through a word push ups. Straight coach definitely set like a general fitness pack and a lot of stuff that they're doing terms of conditioning in the exercise. I'm doing on my own anyway so I just I just throw them in supplemented. I'm curious to see what kind of effect this has on like football. I guess it's similar to the lockout year right because we didn't really do like we were on our own then and I mean a lot of guys were getting hurt. After that year I felt like a lot more than usual but one of the big differences that you're though was most guys went back to their colleges like. I went back to Madison. I worked out at Wisconsin. There's a couple of guys that were there and like people could get together. You could go to the weight room. Yeah go to your trainer. This is totally different because in life was still going on lockout. He's he's still in barbells and dumbbells from the local high school. Yeah man trying to get a puppy from my neighborhood weight room here dumbbells in the garage doubt. It's it's definitely interesting. I know one of the questions in my head when the browns hired Kevin Sanski The name I was thinking of was Gary Kubiak. That was what I was searching for before So he was sort of like the senior assistant in Minnesota with Kevin Fancy. The last season introduced a lot of his concepts bought. He did have experience in the West Coast system previously. I think with Brad childress and so I was curious from a concept sampling. Obviously don't dive deep into the playbook but how similar is the terminology and the concepts to what you did. When Kyle Shanahan drink was in Atlanta to what Kevin is doing now that you guys are together in Cleveland. A lot of the concepts are verbatim the same ones. It's the same names it'll be across most systems like stick dragon or stick line just different ones that are across regardless of what kind of system you run but yet whether names are the same verbatim or slightly different they're achieving try and cheese the same goal by just using the run game to create space in attack. The open. Space dictating are based on. What the defense does though? Have you connected with any teammates? I've been talking to Baker.

"The first sixty picks how `Bout Cam Newton was taken hill stuff for an offense fees. Backup quarterback the probably. Cam Newton is backup. Quarterback is that you need to sit across the table from Cam Newton right now or you need to look at him on facetime and he has to tell you. I am okay with being a tutor and a support guy. I WON'T BE JOSH. Mccown this year for your quarterback. It's hard for me to imagine. Cam Newton saying that it just is and he might. He might be that any might be really good at it but I need to hear that. Oughta his out of his mouth before I WOULD. WanNa sign 'em if I had a situation where I was really comfortable with my start. It's interesting because I view Cam. Newton has a starter and I think he's GonNa work. I've you do and I think he's just like this sucks for Cam. Newton on my this off season is the worst thing for Cam. Newton Digress impossible for Cam Newton. And and it's it's not his fault but it's because he has not been cam known for year and a half. Okay I there's a shoulder and then there's the foot so if Cam Newton is threatened needs job. What he needs to do is he needs to go. Spend some time with coaches. He needs to go. Spend the day with Josh mcdaniels. An with and spend two hours. Bala track and you know into into everything examined by patriots physicians. And they can't do that right now. And that's the biggest problem that he has so interesting. Peter King. I appreciate you man. We read your column. Listen to podcasts with Tom glasco Frank Reich and Ron Rivera. I appreciate you so much ladies and gentlemen from NBC Sports. Peter King. Thank you appreciate it. Thanks for blow me off. Thanks all right. You're welcome appreciate. Bless your soul over there. Hello welcome and Macaroni Hawks sportstalk. I'm Pat McAfee. The first half McAfee and hawks sports talk to my left. A handsome man with a shovel. Face looks extra shoveling today. A Jayhawk Pat. How you doing you get outta bed all right. This morning I felt good this morning. I woke up this morning. I felt good. I was up at six forty five bodyweight squats in a bathroom. So I can get a grumpy out of me and start my day. Took an ice cold shower this morning. Maybe that will change it up a little bit. Maybe it'll cold shower like that. Wim Hof Guy Guy. You know what I'm talking about. Yeah I know him. He's great. I've never I've tried my best to do his breathing things but he says you can hop into an ice cold water and you won't change at all or you don't. You should do it. It's kind of like a fad thing going around Wim. Hof says like to ease into the cold water situation because swims underneath the ice. He does all kind of stuff is just end. Your shower like a minute of cold shower. We'll go. I didn't get that message. I want for five minutes in the chilly water. They're lost the guy downstairs. A little bit had to bring him back to life but I feel good great day to day for a good sports. Talk with a Jayhawk lot of things circulating in the news world. Aj Kirk herbstreit are boy in Chris. Fowler that push for them to get Monday night. Football is a real one. I think it's actually going to happen. Aj How do you feel about it? We talked to Kirk last week about it. He said he loves college football he likes the NFL but he loves college football his dream job he has it he said even if he does. Monday night football. He will stay with the college football ranks. I think there's a lot of college fans that are scared. They're going to get a different crew. Or different duo. Because they love valor and herbstreet. Herbstreet told us that is not the case even if he does get Monday night football. He's saying he's stupid college. That's a long weekend for her. But if anybody can pull it off the Sumati and Fowler he could do it Kirk town. Does everything is crazy schedule going from game day and then a lot of times flying to the nationally the biggest national game that he knows every single Saturday night. But I think when you see people online. That are like upset about this that. They're they're rumored to be there. Isn't it just college? Fans that are worried. They're going to lose kirk in foul from the college game. One hundred percent it's because I mean fowler and Kirk. Do a great job on Saturday night game. I think the college football fans are smart. They've looked around at other presentations of the game. And maybe other college football announcers and even like these two have been a one person. I saw say they're a godsend college for a godsend to a god-like culture? Which is the college football? So it's I think kirk loves it because he's not only great at it but it's He loves college. Football and I think Fowler is obviously that guy who just does so great. Were Kirk if they were to pick up Monday night football. I think all of a sudden. Espn has a key number one booth that they could potentially viably get another super bowl because that's a big deal for the Super Bowl. Bidding with which network has a booth that can handle the billions billion. Maybe not that much. But hundreds of millions of people that are watching worldwide. You don't want to embarrass the network with a booth that isn't up to snuff. And I think that is a booth that could potentially land a super bowl to be honest with you. I think they're good. I think that'd be great at it. I think it'll be an interesting transition for Kirk. I mean. Obviously he's still says he wants to do all of his college games but like he told us on the show. I Love College football. He absolutely obsessed with college. Football says I like NFL football. He watches for guys that he knows. And whatever but he doesn't I guess right now completely love the. Nfl like he does college. I think he actually got that Monday night. Game he would probably grow to really love the NFL game as well and if ESPN or anyone else's worried that they wouldn't do a good job me. I don't think that's an excellent. We know how professional kirk in foul Roddick's they're gonNA they're gonNA put on a good presentation whether people like it or not. I don't know but they're still mad and they're really going round and round trying to figure out that one night boosted to I. It was Jason Witten. We got our Guy Dallas Cowboy then it was Boettger and for whatever the reason not because of me but people said things. He's out then. They tried to make a play for Tony. Romo who's the hot or not out yet. Booger tests are still technically in the booth. And they haven't told them they're gone but they know spot don't be. I'm not saying they're coming back. I'm saying they're not. They haven't.

What could TE Austin Hooper bring to Packers offense?

"Was a report from. I think it was robbed a mosque. Who covers the Green Bay packers and he made you know at least the packers are aware that they need more pask actors? They reportedly planned to add two of them via free agency and the draft. And you can certainly get a bunch. But I'm not sure that the guy that he talked he said they're played into. Target Austin Hooper. I'm not sure that's what Aaron Rodgers really needs. I would rather see somebody more explosive. I don't know what you think about that but either released Jimmy Graham who's just Zaslov signing for them. I would note that Matlin. Flair was the Falcons quarterbacks coach when Austin who was a rookie in two thousand sixteen in Atlanta But Yeah I. I don't know I'm not sure awesome. Hooper is exactly what fixes. What's wrong with Green Bay right now? Which is clear. It's Green Bay at margin only feels comfortable throwing to Davante Adams. Yeah I think they're awesome. Hooper would be fine signing You give the packers a solid possession tight end just really reliable. Almost eighty percent career catch. Ray Can block enough from a dynasty standpoint. He would block J Sternberg who drafted in the third round. This past year in. I mean I really liked him coming at a at a Texas. A&m But you know. Yeah he he would be a big roadblock in the way of j Sternberg. I'm completely with you. Though in Syria I mean I. I think that they should sign two guys. I mean I think that Al Having Allen Lazard as your number two option. The passing game isn't good enough and I think that even if they signed someone like Austin Hooper. I think should go robby Anderson. You know I think that Robbie Anderson Opposite Davante Adams would give them Just a completely different dynamic in their passing game. I think that they need some any they I think they need an explosive field stretcher. And Yeah if I was. I would focus on a guy like Robin Anderson. I mean mark has vowed is scant laying in theory had the skill set to be that guy but he just did not take a second year. Yeah there were some reports from Our friend Matthew Berry had noted that era jittery like Salazar staff-related Allen. So I think they're going to add a wide receiver for sure. But for now I would consider Allen Lazard the front runner for the number two wide receiver job. Assuming they don't add anybody which then was certainly

NFL free agency: Reactions to Greg Olsen's deal with the Seattle Seahawks

"About reaction on Greg Olsen signing with the Seattle Seahawks that's too bad I I would like to see in the bills get him I think it would help their tight end group I think would help their offense overall if it was me I would have figured yeah Seattle would have a good shot because they've got the best chance to to when compared to the other two teams would you offer him as much as Seattle Morris Seattle or just say yeah that's fine so I think that was a good offer I mean that's a legit I think that's fair if I don't know the bills offered him but a one year deal seven million five F. guaranteed I think it's very fair offer I mean I really would have gone I would like to that at him I would have gone crazy and got into a bidding war over him but I thought it would have been a nice piece for the offense and I was thinking I don't think you know they I'm wondering if they're going to look in free agency for tight and since I work I feel like this was the new Greg Olsen and this might have been like a one shot deal like Hey across okay Greg Olsen we like him let's showing get like I don't think they're going after the free agent market I don't think they're going to spend big money on hunter Henry Austin Hooper if they hit the market the other guys out there are guys like Eric you Braun I I you know who's had one good year in his career I saw today Jason Witten I think said he still wants to play Tyler I for I believe it's going to be a free agent but you know you said injury issues in Cincinnati feel like Olson might have been like a specific one time you know we're okay would Dawson Dr okay with what time the Sweeney my guess is Lee Smith is back as blocking back and Tyler Kroft but also it was like a special scenario we're like okay let's make a play for this guide I don't think they're going to go into the fridge market for a Titan

"Says that about Austin Hooper at the senior bowl he also was asked about moving up in the draft for a pass rusher listen to this well then that's what I've heard the pass rushing group is not the day of in that you know that Leo position but I I think there are some guys out of service at a couple other places far as moving up no one in this league I don't think you can really operate if you if you're not aggressive enough listen here's the deal there was a debate I believe Indian rainy brought about trading upper tray young let's just get the very much for young that offended and from young we eat it I I am fully blinking on young's first name the defensive and from from hot house state case John naturais young good lord like young and after football yet face face yeah okay there is a zero percent chance the fact that they're gonna be able to trade up to get chase young very after a young here in Atlanta but be nice to add cheese young there's a zero percent chance there is no way you can pop physically possibly go from sixteen until number two unless you want to give up Julio Jones and like three first round draft picks that's why would a cot it would cost no joke Julio Jones and at least two first round draft picks at least it would free up cap space but it's just not worth it the Golden Gate chase young who's going to be a great a great pass rusher it's just not worth it so this whole conversation about trading up a getting chase young it's very exciting we all like the idea of trading up it's not going to happen sit tight at sixteen get the defensive and hopefully there's a good one there I don't know which one is going to be but this whole idea tray for trees young is a really really unlikely you would think an absolute miracle to do so you have to give up more than just a couple of first round draft picks moving on here I know we trip for Julio and Calvin really I know that we did that there's different sixteen to two it's way too big of a job final bit of falcons ID actually no we have to Austin Hooper first on contract updates Caleb Johnson got this one fourth listen to a little bit of a animosity towards me mile attitudes will happen the way it's close to I mean I did my part ended up here at the mobile so that the organization wants to be the for me and I still haven't received an offer from them so if and when they're ready they know who to hit now let my representation representation the falcons handle it but as of now you know I'm just enjoy and what could be my last games about him down here the provost so I'll just try and represent the organization the best way possible and then on a bold you know myself to a high standard and make sure you know I conduct myself right way represent those fans of Atlanta progress in Atlanta coaches everybody just let everybody know what I'm all about about that that was awesome Hooper talking to roadkill Johnson at the Pro Bowl basically saying the balls of thousands court right he's like I I'm ready go give me a contract I'll probably signed a law that's competitive let's get to work in twenty twenty and yet he said someone the fact the problems have not officially offered him a contract is that's are interesting for Austin Hooper became the league in twenty sixteen only got nineteen balls three touchdowns read a rookie tight ends don't necessarily you know like the world on fire twenty seventeen doubled as a Medicaid just still cut three touchdowns twenty eighteen played all sixteen games started in seven four touchdowns six or sixty yards and then this year yet records in touchdowns with six the idea in terms of his own personal records hit seven Ernie seven receiving yards and seventy five catches so he is up there with some of the best tight in the National Football League the question is very team that has very little financial flexibility eighty eight a falcons cap space is not very good can you afford Austin Hooper I think their way that right now did you spend a little bit to be less money on stadium Andriy Campbell and then bring in a cheap creative pass rusher for the same amount of money that you would be giving Austin Hooper that's probably what they're wearing right now and why they have not offered him a contract Austin Hooper still unsigned but Tracy is very long really a long time to that starts so balls in the Balkans court will did they go ahead and do something about it or let him go ahead and test the market as a free agent tight end Hooper was also asked about the ink when it comes to make trouble all stay in years in high praise for that I'm insure continuity right just keep America has been in place I mean guys real familiar with Quinn guys a real familiar with Derek now known in second year there and guys real familiar with retain more so it's it's good to have that continuity have that built a relationship you know exactly what to expect from all three of and we're we're looking forward to what we say we said this already my weeks ago the reason why they're keeping the incline much to the disgust of eight one of you listeners and I mean a budget you guys eight the fact they're doing a year do per se a conical continuity Carolina is gonna be fast lane this year because it's the exact opposite of Atlanta and yet they are in the same division may we are polar opposites going into this year falcons keep everybody there to be exactly the same hopefully just learning from their mistakes Carolina I mean everything is changed and it might take a quarterback at number seven a digicam noon everything has changed so you're seeing a total re branding of the Carolina Panthers head coach operative coordinator defensive.

"Obscure line is your guys there so it's a big problem and then he just difficult to get to what is that good of a player plus they have Austin Hooper to nice compliment Terry receiver from the tight end and then just Grady Jarrett inside and Grady Jarrett normally doesn't play that many snaps I think he was on the field for almost all of a lot of injuries coming into the game and throughout the game but I think if it landed deserved to win the game I don't think they would actually win the game with a lot of families they were sloppy in the game but I think yesterday they were the better team they deserve to win the game yesterday it was sixty four offense of snaps for the forty Niners Grady Jr played fifty seven so eighty nine percent that's a ridiculous to replace a very high level for for a defensive tackle people though no no you rotate your guys in like that again because of the injuries this is the same thing with the forty Niners Nick Bosa played sixty three of sixty seven staff since ninety four percent Armstead played sixty of sixty seven ninety percent I mean it you're talking about it's too many manning I mean that's the whole thing Barker played sixty of sixty seven ninety percent you're going to get worn down in the game so we go down to that final drive and as you said you're not getting any pressure on the quarterback Matt right even got out of the pocket for a few during the game you got a minute you got it injuries in the secondary and that's a bad combination for for everything in so you knew that when yeah had Julio Jones as much as they were targeting a by the way twenty of the thirty nine targets within him and George kill just went back and forth on target skittles target seventeen times we've Jones twenty times we can talk about the the cradle the critical mistake by buy a Kidde only actually talked about it after the game but as far as that final drive you had to be nervous going into it because like you said the guys were overworked along the defensive line yet inexperienced guys in the back and then you have Matt Ryan going to Julio Jones and that's what it came down to Liz will again as we have you know pretty simple math on that one and then they have it's it's it's a you know they are right now in mid year and there's three and three L. last quarter to half the Seattle game is really difficult that is a difficult loss there's no doubt and you could have gotten out of there with a tie and then the Baltimore game the other losses in the other conference so it's not staring at you this one it's an NFC loss but it's not you know one of the change you're able to be Green Bay you were able to beat New Orleans so I think it's still there and ultimately yesterday may not matter at all it may not I you have to see how this all unfolds coming ahead now if you lose to the rams that is going to be a problem you don't want to lose both of them so you still got to make that Seattle game be the end all be all but you know if you had to pick games to lose it would be the Baltimore game and this game no one was any games say it again you want to win and that's a huge game but if you had to have one to lose your V. yesterday and there's reasons for that we just detailed all the injuries and I don't know sure I'm gonna be able to go on Saturday I think K. Y. and hopefully we'll be able to get out of the concussion protocol and that'll certainly help I don't know we're charge at with the raids you got to get some of these guys back Jack there's there's no doubt I mean there there's a reason your delight as planned so many snaps in all the key force you to play against the rams Lee played and that winner take all game in Seattle you'd need to have him back there's no doubt but there's a reason for this it's an explanation of why you're losing these games or just drop it so many guys that's it no I guess any injuries or future.

"Ever been it. It's mind boggling. Especially because the android Washington is someone who up until this season had not really they've been utilized as a passing threat in the raiders. Offense but when he was at Texas Tech He was a great multipurpose back and when he was really consistent as pass Catcher So I've always been surprised that the raiders Ston utilize that more so to see that in this game. I mean that's what to me. makes him confident the fantasy start. Does he replace Joshing Not In any way whatsoever. Restrooms is a phenomenal between the tackles runner. Who's going to be able to carry the ball twenty to thirty times a game and not that night at it? I'll be shocked. If De'andre Washington sees twenty attempts in a game. I do not. Let's see that happening. I'd love it but I just I don't see it occurring. I think that what we just saw from a production standpoint from a volume standpoint is probably about the Peekapoos we'll see from him which is twenty touches but if he can continually get targets in the passing game I mean he's going to be phenomenal fantasy asset and. I'm really excited that if he starts again this week for him to play against Jacksonville. Because I think that's a great match up but I think that as the the season whereas on teams lose this contention for the play offs and whatnot. Young guys like this tend to be the ones that emerge because they have something to be playing for and he definitely does in to continue. Can you stay on that roster and potentially the number two behind Josh Jacobs Abi a great world have. Yeah I don't even know if he'll be there I don't know if we'll be there next year. Man You loved the Andrew Washington way more than I loved the idea Washington but I could just be angry fan. You know like I'm a fan of the team. Maybe I am a little more critical. I'm not crazy about any of the raiders. Backups I run. Would you be shocked then. If next week they came out. And it's a fifty fifty split between him and Rashard. Yeah I wouldn't be surprised cried. I wouldn't be surprised if Josh Jacobs's back there next week and when we started anything they decided. Smith fractured shoulder. I honestly I mean. If I'm a raiders fan. I want them to sit him for the rest of the year. But are I mean I don't know At a press conference he said that Gruden said that The accident by Josh Jacobs is and they said that he he gave an impassioned plea to play and the game. He Jon Gruden actually. This is irrational man. Jon Gruden said he sat in my coaches off his he. He wanted to play and he got really emotional about not playing. He doesn't want to let his teammates down. I don't know where he's going to be this week. But if he's ready to go and he's cleared to play play he's a great back back in a great centerpiece for our team. Moving forward so I mean they're not. They're not mathematically eliminated from the playoffs right. No three weeks left so yeah I mean if he says he can go in. The doctors don't rule him out. I bet he plays this week. I mean I I think you're probably right. I don't think he should but I think you're probably right so I wouldn't get crazy by the deandre Washington height drain pump. The brakes fellas pumped. Get Him anywhere you can. I the grabbing the knows. It doesn't hurt to have them with. How many injuries are out there? He's like he is. Is it diamond in the rough man could be. It could be a big deal the Andrea Washington winds fantasy championships. Yeah I like the sound of that. Ah I mean I if I had any fabulous dion Washington all the way onto our rank gums. We have some interesting unless you're today FELLAS. We interest in players the first list that we have for our rank them so eh color single terry and cream I I'm struggling with this. One I mean so first of all Devon Single Terry has all the volume like if if that's what you wanted to chase which is not not usually the terrible thing to do. It's Devon singled Terry by leaps and bounds. So the bad thing about them is that he has the worst. First matchup of the three. I was A. It's always adds Pittsburgh so that that puts a damper on a but I still think it's only like okay so you dial back efficiency and he still has all I just. I'm having a hard time. Not Been Devon singled Terry first and then Out of the other to Ecuador in hunt or getting similar volume and I WANNA saying that he has a better matchup Kevin up in week fifteen so I would give him the nod over hunt. I think there're through really fairly similar players to just see no Minnesota in Hunt Plays Arizona so no AH easier matchup okay. Hunt is at Arizona and then Minnesota I don't know what to do with the last two that man I think I need to put i. I can't I'm right. I'm right there with the I can't I cannot yeah not move him from I I asked you. I mean I would go after I'd actually might put hunt and last I don't Know Adam you put hunt I. I mean Rian second because he's playing Arizona. I mean he still form areas before anything else like all three of these guys they think are started. Will if you're trying China make decisions amongst them like it is obviously really difficult and the reason for that is pretty just allston. Accurate probably has the highest scoring highest ceiling. Kareem Hunt probably has the most steady floor and Devin single terry probably has a lower ceiling than Austin layer and a lower four than Austin actor but a higher ceiling and like lower floor than it makes sense. Why they're all kind of in that range? I think single airy honestly like from what we've seen recently is the only one that I guess I feel confident confident. In his work load. But from a production standpoint that hasn't mattered it all for us nectar and in he's been phenomenal nominal this whole year and I feel like I can't. I can't overlook that so for me. goes to number one and then with single terry in hunt. I I think hunt gives you a really high floor. But I don't see any ceiling there even against Arizona. I mean he definitely could flash is great like DFS player for that. But if these are the guys that you would like try to start to pick two I'm I'm definitely certain And I think I'm single Terry. Yeah same with me. Josh was like Hell No I. I mean Devon Single Terry in his last three games twenty one carries fourteen carries seventeen carries in his last last game at eight targets. Four and two before that Josh. I don't know how much you care about matchups. Either playing Pittsburgh in New England finished season two which is nightmare nights at all. That stinks in the Pittsburgh game. Two is like potential playoff matchup two teams playing for playoff positioning Zhang. Like there's GonNa be. There's definitely going to be a lot on the line in that game so I don't know I mean for me. I just think that man actor i. I was the one that based on valium you should be like. I don't I don't see how this could be from a volume perspective at totally get singled hairy Over both of these two because hunt in proudly project that similar volume but they're both very similar players in the sense that like they don't need value value to be extraordinarily productive so whereas single terry is probably more likely to get the volume he needs it to be productive and I don't think actor or or hunt do I don't I don't disagree with that. I mean had a couple of long breakaway plays in the last year. Three weeks exceed what he does. It's crazy I mean it reminds me of there was it was like five years ago. Now or six six where Danny woodhead ended up finishing the season as they are be three actors GonNa Finish the year as a top five the top three fantasy running back and it's just crazy that we're in the fantasy playoffs and we're still like I don't know if you can start 'em let me let me actually Guiso hard. We actually guys is I. Actually we have a team as an playoffs in the league. Right and I have Melvin Gordon. Ns Color and they're playing Minnesota this week. Which one of those guys would you bench to put in like Aaron Jones? I mean I'm Ben Gordon. That's what I'm doing to. Yes that's fine. I think we got it. What about James White? Would you play him over them against Cincinnati play Aquilaria and Jones Director James Way Jones so many options Jimmy. That team for me. I don't know but yeah I would venture to and I've been saying that man. I said that on twitter. When Gordon came back I was like? It's still Ecuador Gordon Even Matt. Kelly was like stop it. But I'm like for real man like just how I feel. She says I mean Gordon's been super consistent. You're not wrong man in not wrong. Exeter I mean he like I said I mean he's a player who doesn't need a lot of touches to do spectacular things. So are we just looking eh player. WHO's been odd? Just run hot and saying look. He's so good and it's actually just running on. Yeah I mean it's crazy when these guys run hot for an entire season. Yeah that's what we do. We totally do this. Like this is just. We're taught that only volume based production is worthy man. That's that's it's really like a a hard fallacy in the community are especially analytics community is that you have to add volume to have production and over the long run that that is true but the NFL is a small sample size game. I mean we're talking about sixteen game seasons we're talking about fantasy. Seasons are less than that so I think for a season. I mean. We're seeing look. You don't need volume per se to have an extremely productive season a man. I think in in context of like this year you have to continue being confident. I can see for future seasons being very questionable as to what type of values GonNa get in if he's going to be continually sufficient. But I think for this year like I cannot venture guy like that. Yeah when you look at his. You know his His targets targets and his attempts and everything like he literally rushed the ball for less than ten attempts to game. which is you know more often than not I mean? There's some games where he gets more with us. When Gordon's out and this and that and then target argue is when you see him even get four targets like he does crazy stuff with it? I mean four receptions he does crazy stuff with it like it's just not the only game that I'm just looking at one of my LINEUPS that I have with him in it. I'm looking at the game for fancy points with him. There's only one game he didn't score in double digits now against Pittsburgh boy. Single Terry is playing so so I don't know man if I couldn't get double digits against Pittsburgh I'll pass on him on single derogating overlords against them. I don't know I don't know what happened. That game I only information but yeah that's the only game he didn't score double digits in this league scorn but Man He's he's Fliegelman is forty. Go gotta put him first Josh. Are you gonNA. Are you GONNA end. This was single Terry This week I think I think sink I think single Terry has a higher like fiftieth percentile projection. And I think even has a better the seventy fifth percentile but then I think Ed cler has this like thirty point one percent chance the idol. Think Single Terry. Has It all Josh. which which one are you putting I this week? Okay Gotcha Single Terry. Heckler do what you want. Want to folks next group we have here drew brees Dak Prescott got and Ryan the God ten hill man man. What a group here? I'll just I'll just jump out right now. I'll put in Tannehill first baby. Let's go tannehill. Let's go Italians are playing the Texans as money in the bank right. There drew brees playing the colts not too shabby and back my boy dak.. I'm putting them last on this list. He is playing the rams. I'm going to know first tannehill. I breeze Dak.. Someone told me why I'm crazy. I mean I I. I don't necessarily think it's crazy I proud hum probably still going breeze over Tannahill but I definitely don't think it's crazy I think last week from what we saw from breeze like he still has a ceiling potential. It's crazy but he does and that was a home game. He's about play another home. Game drew brees always better at home on the you know I just. I think that I think that based on and trends and drew brees being a hall of fame caliber quarterback and coming off a forty point game. I'm just not..

"Winstons hurt. Not sure how bad it is. Hurt his hand. That's usually not a good thing for a quarterback and said Patrick Mahomes do either one of those things affect you. Gentlemen in the playoffs are are you gonNA adjust anything because of them. It's winstons getting causing problems for me. If he's out and I think that if Jameis Winston is out the back cat Brian Griffin does not look promising for anybody right right. I I did hear today that Patrick Mahomes was hand is supposedly okay but just like very very bruised and the world says James Winston has been cleared to play all right so we should the concern. I was GONNA say everything that I've seen both of them. So far makes it sound like they're both GonNa play even if it sprang through pain or something I mean I think it's supertalk both these guys James Says Ben not since Brett farve his anyone bend as erratic is James. Winston has been this year here. I mean he's thrown almost the same amount of interceptions as he has such downs. He's thrown twenty plus. If both like it's crazy but I think I think just from a fantasy perspective both these guys they give you such a high like perceived sealing the. I don't see how you can't start an advanced advanced playoffs. Honestly like Mahomes has been the one who's been more up and down this year and more down overall as late which is shocking. But I mean it really is true so honestly As crazy as it might not I might even feel more confident. Starting Winston if both are healthy but I think both are are gonNA find your way. You're starting lineup. I think it's hard to either the I know we've had a conversation on the side. Not In the podcast Josh. Some other people about James Winston you love the beauty you have. How he throws interceptions you think needs to his brilliance on the other hand? I think it's absolutely like the the D. Gaffe. Kevin James Winston is why is able throws nate ascends as he does. It is not easy to support as much wide receiver production as they ad-supported this year. I mean what he's done. This season has been just wild but I think that there is something to it were. I'm like I don't I would. I'd hate being a fan of that team because it's got to be so difficult to watch that many turnovers. Yeah for sure but like prove production standpoint. It's still super impressive. I mean he's putting up huge numbers he's going to have thirty touchdown season. He's gotTa went through for over forty five hundred yards those huge numbers. It's a pretty interesting thing to to look at and see just wonder like Kennedy team like be successful assessable with that can really work or is it just fantasy is excited about it like I mean you know is is there hope for James Winston like get better is there you know. Is he just going to always be this way. Just you know what comes with being damaged Winston in the way he plays. I mean it's it's it's interesting to look at. Has He always been that way. Though I I feel like maybe it's maybe it's gotten a little worse or a little bit more high profile lately but I do think this is pretty much always been who he is I like for a real. NFL team. I think you just have to be willing. If you have James Winston to say like we are going to win by scoring scoring more points than new. We're not doing this ball control you know. Slow it down. No mistakes type of play where we're going to vote ratio and we're going to beat you. I mean he really is the perfect quarterback for somebody like Bruce Arians because like he's just that that huge play pushed push the ball. Downfield Take Risk Kinda quarterback and that's what arriens loves to have and it's been like a beautiful matchup. I mean just from a production standpoint. I mean they're out producing racing the league in passing dramatically. And I think that you know from that perspective. I'm going to be shocked if they moved out. Move on from Winston next year especially mostly. Because I don't expect the move on from Aaron's so I expect them to be back there next year but there seems to be this like weird talk of Jameis Winston getting replaced there which I don't know to me sounds crazy. 'cause like I think it's just that offense brings out the extremes on both sides for it. Okay he's GonNa take risks and with that he's going to throw a lot of interceptions but he's going to have a lot of huge games as well. So I think finding the ability to balance that risk and to do that. You'RE GONNA have to upgrade defense. Yeah before we move on from this Just looking at his past seasons in his rookie year twenty two touchdowns fifteen interceptions. Then he went to twenty eight touchdowns. Eighteen interceptions Nineteen eleven nineteen and fourteen now. Twenty six and twenty three and like I said it's the extremes on both sides. Completion percentage pretty much in the same range all year every year. You know been in the four thousand yard club three seasons. This is a third one and that he's done that so I mean it's pretty much you know nothing else has changed. Just you know a few more interceptions. And he's just the same guy still so I don't know we'll see how doc plays out but yeah I don't I don't see I don't know then moving offer him which is a key gateway worsen Jameson. Let's just put it that way Two other guys that we need to mention really quick before we move. Want the other segments of this show. Show a penny out for the season. Have I said that already. We mostly already glanced over it. We didn't address it directly a Yeah Rashad Penny man. What a what a nice little flash in the PAN that all the pennies supporters? got a week there. Josh to stay quiet let us handle this shy inside Josh about shopping it's like it's The other Guy Devante Parker has a concussion. That sucks. That's no good. I know that the dolphins have anything else. What do you mean what what are they trotting out a wide receiver? I Wide Receiver Josh. That they have one of the best most tight ends or they do have that. I mean I thought and I thought that he likes last week was no indication of microseconds talent. He it's almost like he was irrelevant again. Oh Yeah but now. It's Ivanka Parker out. He'll probably get funneled. You know a handful. Dan pull targets again. I don't know I mean. His targets have actually been pretty consistent. You just didn't catch any of 'em last week. So that's unfortunate shoe. Say He's not for sure out there yet right. I mean there's still a chance no but it is very tough with players any more to come back one week off of a concussion Especially late in the season when teams out of any sort of playoff contention. They might just air on the side of caution so I would say unfortunately Parker's probably GonNa miss of obviously to have him. You're hoping hoping he plays 'cause he's definitely lock button. Start in any lineup. It has been so consistent but But Yeah I think that it's it's a lot to hope for. I don't see it happening it at five. Step Protocol Buddy. Get through it. We need you this week. Need you. Iran let's move on and trust issues. The I trust issue. We have on the list today. Is Tom Brady is a quarterback one in week week fifteen at Cincinnati as anyone who watches football has known the Patriots offense has struggled had their their their weak moments. Here they haven't haven't looked amazing And so Tom Brady is one of those guys that people are now wondering you know he was always Mr dependable right. You can get solid games at him so now people are wondering can they trust him in the playoffs when it all matters against a horrible team you know depending on these injuries and stuff that we say happened. I don't think you guys mentioned that's that's not really gonNA knock any of them out for the week so if nobody's out for the week I don't know if he could be a top to a quarterback I think he's like outside of that. The Talk Eighteen fifteen. I I.

"Now more on fantasy football on CBS sports radio. We have got rid of the RAF music. All right. Getting a little more hip. I can dig it know me, Dave. I'm dancing to the music, and here, I hope you are as well at least moving your shoulders a little bit. I'm Bob my head good stuff. Welcome back to fantasy football Saturday night. We are live until midnight eastern taking your phone calls. A lot of calls in this segment. Eight five five two one two four two two seven. We got a whole nother hour coming up after this one. And I want to remind everybody to watch CBS tomorrow CBS a Super Bowl season continues with great doubleheader. I we got the undefeated dolphins going into England for an AFC showdown where the patriots will be hungry for a win after two straight losses. Then it's drew Brees coming off and exciting overtime winning touchdown and setting the NFL's career completion record. He goes from New Orleans to New York the battle Eli and the giants the day kicks off with the NFL today presented by Jeep at twelve eastern nine Pacific. Dave those two games, which one are you more excited for I'm interested in that saints giant's game. Because I'm I'm not sure what to think of the saints pass rush yet. I think they're past secondaries in big trouble. Let's see take advantage of that one of the sneaky sleepers for week number four. Yeah. Yeah. For sure if you need a. Quarterback concerned Eli manning the saints. I believe they are giving up the most fantasy points to quarterbacks if not the most it's close, and they're definitely giving up the most fantasy points to wide receiver. So I know we like sterling Shepard quite a bit in this game. How about some sleepers at each position? Dave and again, the number eight five five two one two four two two seven give me a couple of sleepers at each position. Well, I mentioned Eli manning. I think he's absolutely one. I think Joe flacco is also a great sleeper going up against that sealers defense that everybody seems to put up big numbers against at running back in an lead toward awesome heckler should get a little bit more work than he typically does especially if it's a blowout in the chargers favorite. But even if it's not minimum ten touches for him. Buck Allen, you know, he's working the goal line. He's also the third down back for Baltimore. So I think he picked up four catches gets decent yardage not great yardage, but find the end zone to help people out if you're in a pickle, maybe need to replace Christian McCaffrey or Adrian Peterson in your lineup this week wide receiver sleepers, there's one that's kind of obvious. It's Chris Godwin with Tampa Bay. The fact that he's still available in so many. CBS sports leases incredible. But let's go with a real sleeper. Jaquim grant of the Miami. Dolphins isn't getting a ton of targets, but is making a lot of big plays. Hayes going up against the patriots defense that's been atrocious against the past. They are going to have a very hard time handling his speed in that AFC showed up and two more sleepers. Both at tight end both of your streaming. Dave new joke might have been dropped in your league. Go pick them up. Baker Mayfield has a good track record of leaning on his tight end at Austin Hooper going up against the Bengals have not been great against ends. And I think Hooper could find the endzone this week. I like him as a great streaming option and Hooper has a good match up next week as well. So you want some asleep or for two we look the truth is he doesn't usually do that. Well, but that's the state of titantic either have one or you don't you're looking for streamers. Awesome Hooper, you could do worse. In fact, we had a very good game with five catches fifty nine yards and a touchdown. He will get Pittsburgh next week. They allow the most fantasy points actually, look at his next three games. Austin Hooper Cincinnati at Pittsburgh Tampa Bay three of the seven worst teams against tight ends thus far. Dave before you give me two busts said. He's position. Tell me the running backs who are barely own that needs to be picked up right now. Well, the one that's that we alluded to in the previous segment is Robert turban. He suspended for week four just as he was suspended for the first three weeks of the season. But think about those colts running backs who stepped up there the answer. Nobody and he's got a nice physical run game to him. He's served as the short yardage Goldline guy before so I like him, and I'm going back to a running back that I was over the moon for back during the off season and training camp. And that's Ronald Jones of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Tampa Bay doesn't have a solution at running back right now. Pain Barbara has grossly disappointed. Could Ronald Jones really be that much worse. I think you're gonna see Tampa Bay make a move at least a little bit of a shift toward him coming out of there by week. And maybe Ronald Jones of being a factor for fantasy owners before this season. Yeah. Yeah. And listen Jameis Winston is worth stashing. If it's Patrick has a bad game. They go into their by. They might come out with Winston and we five and the weapons are just sensational. So Fitzpatrick's doing great. I don't think Winstons going to do this think anyone's going to do this. Well, but yeah, he's he's I think he's last I checked about thirty percent on CBS league. So take a look at Janus. All right. Dave we're gonna do bus in our next segment right now. I wanna take some calls eight five five two one two four two two seven real quick. Wanna give a shout out to our producer? Ryan hickey. Ryan what's up, dude? Guess how you feel it over there a little stressed? So so I'm in the studio, we got this big thing of soundproof glass, and then on the other side of it. We got riot. And he wanted you go to college ride Penn State Penn State Penn State shirt on every week. I come in here, you got your pens you wash that thing. It's obviously you're good luck shirt, which is great because I have one of those two. Fourth and one right now. So he does not even listening to me all big play pets state anyway little does. He don't I took a video recording of him during Penn State's last touchdown going, absolutely bonkers. And maybe I'll share it on Twitter. It's pretty well. Proven with him. I so congratulations. I know you're having a fun time tonight. A lot of fun. Yeah. A lot of fun stressful fought, and that's what sports is all about. Now. Let's get some fantasy questions. We're gonna do rapid-fire. Don't say Hello don't ask how we're doing. We are doing great. And we appreciate your listening. We're just gonna get your question. One question per customer. Dave is going to give you an answer. And we'll move on. Let's start here with Georgia and California, George go. Nambiar need one guy Doug Baldwin, Chris Godwin? Can you still Karen Johnson or Alkmaar? Thanks. I'm gonna go with Chris Godwin. I think the touchdown streaks can send such on streak continues against Chicago. Woo goblin over Brita. Yes. Okay. And hey, real quick Dave give me your thoughts on Doug Baldwin this week. I'm nervous about him. First game back probably some rushed to knock off. There's already reports saying that he's not close to one hundred percent. I would I would not try and start him eight five five two one two four two two seven Chris in Chicago, Chris go. Alfred Morris or ROY screaming and attempting standard thing I'm gonna go with freemen. I like the match better for him against the chiefs than alpha against the chargers. That's how you do it. Good question Craig in the car, Craig what's going on. Yeah. Okay. You remember? I don't understand these questions. Like, I feel like someone's playing a big trick ambi-. I mean, if if we didn't have to go rapid fire, I could actually take a little bit of time to discuss the league, which I think you would find interesting, can you send us a podcast Email? No. Yeah. I could absolutely do that are and I normally isn't who I am. But I I'm sorry. I I am happy that you guys replaced, Jamie. That's it's not like me to hold grudges or anything. But I I sorry you you're aware we got off of the run. But but I do he's doing a fantastic job. The question was Terry Bradshaw or Peyton Manning. Yeah. Because I think you misinterpreted, Jamie. I think he was trying to have a little fun. We're so confused by the league that he had no idea what to say. 'cause 'cause Craig plays an illegal you start like former players that. We just don't get it. How does the scoring work for that? I think I think we have to. I think we have to have it in Email formula read it on our podcast is that cool Craig? Abs-? Absolutely. Unless you know, if the other guy would really like to know I'd be more than happy. We would love to. But we just haven't gotten to enough calls today. And we've got a full board a call. So I'll say Peyton Manning that work. Okay. Absolutely. I appreciate your input. Thank you. Greg very much appreciated strange every week. I just like, I don't get it. I wish I wish I could help the guy. Eight five five two one four two two seven Ernest in Texas with a question about active players Ernest. Go. Oh my goodness. Hey there. What's up? But I know call your cousin other guy. Okay. Another guy. Yes. Cousin Richard, sir. Ernest? What do you got your? Okay. So I just need to trying to decide flex pod. Standard league. I got manual Sanders. Mike williams. How to board or Marvin Jones? Thanks. Yeah ernest. It's gotta be Emmanuel Sanders. First and foremost, and then I liked the potential of Tyler boy to what should be a high scoring game. I like his specific matchup against state land. So I would pair him with manual Sanders. Jamie's Fresno California, Jamie urine. I on fantasy football. They said my call it's a standard scoring looking for a flex spot. Is that of David Johnson? Emmanuel sanders. And Ellen Robinson. I'm gonna go with Emmanuel Sanders street to and I know that surprising given David Johnson were you drafted him. But until we see Johnson have a huge game. He's not quite as big of a must start as it would be before Sanders against the chiefs. I feel much better. Right. That's the other part of it is like Sanders could definitely have a huge game this week against the chiefs. Don in Florida, eight five five two one two four two two seven and you're an ion fantasy football guys like Drew Bledsoe. And Vinny Testaverde. Do you have Vinny tests Testaverde early career or Vinny testaverde's? No lake Orion. Okay. You gotta go with Bledsoe unless it's blood solely career that was. A bit of a tough spot my best he plays. "On fantasy football on CBS sports radio. We have got rid of the rock music. All right. Getting a little more hip. I can dig it me. Dave, I'm dancing to the music, and here, I hope you are as well at least moving your shoulders a little bit. I'm Bob my head good stuff. Welcome back to I on fantasy football Saturday night. We are live until midnight eastern taking your phone calls. A lot of calls in this segment. Eight five five two one two four two two seven. We've got a whole nother hour coming up after this one. And I want to remind everybody to watch the CBS tomorrow CBS a Super Bowl season continues. With a great double header. I we got the undefeated dolphins going into England for an AFC showdown where the patriots will be hungry for a win after two straight losses. Then it's drew Brees coming off an exciting overtime winning touchdown and setting the NFL career completion record. He goes from New Orleans to New York the battle ally. And the giants the day kicks off with the NFL today presented by Jeep at twelve eastern nine Pacific. Dave, those two games, which one are you more excited for I'm interested in that saints giant's game because. I'm not sure what to think of the saints pass rush yet. I think they're past secondaries in big trouble light, see Eli manning. Take advantage of that one of the sneaky sleepers for week number four. Yeah. Yeah. For sure if you need a quarterback, you can turn Eli manning the saints. I believe they are giving up the most fantasy points to quarterbacks if not the most it's close, and they're definitely giving up the most fantasy points to wide receiver. So I know he likes sterling Shepard quite a bit in this game. How about some sleepers at each position? Dave and again, the number eight five five two one two four two two seven. Gimme a couple of sleepers at each position. Well, I mentioned Eli manning. I think he's absolutely one. I think Joe flacco is also a great sleeper going up against sealers defense that everybody seems to put up big numbers against at running back in and I'll lead toward p p here. Austin should get a little bit more work than he typically does especially if it's a blowout in the chargers favorite. But even if it's not minimum ten touches for him. Buck Allen, you know, he's working the goal line. He's also the third down back for Baltimore. So I think he could pick up. Four catches gets decent yard. Not great yardage, but find the end zone to help people out if you're in a pickle, maybe need to replace Christian McCaffrey Adrian Peterson in your lineup this week wide receiver sleepers there's one that's kind of obvious. It's Chris Godwin with Tampa Bay. The fact that he still available in so many CBS sports leases incredible. But let's go with a real sleeper. Jaquim grant of the Miami. Dolphins isn't getting a ton of targets, but is making a lot of big plays as going up against the patriots defense. That's been atrocious against the past. They are going to have a very hard time handling his speed in the AFC showed up and two more sleepers both at tight end. Both of your streaming David who might have been dropped in your league. Go pick them up. Baker Mayfield has a good track record of leaning on his tight end and Austin Hooper going up against the Bengals have not been great against identity. And I think Hooper could find the endzone this week. I like him as a great streaming option and Hooper has a good match up next week as well. So if you want some a sleeper for to look the truth is he doesn't usually do that. Well, but that's the state of. Either have one or you don't you're looking for streamers Austin Hooper, you could do worse. In fact, we had a very good game with five catches fifty nine yards and a touchdown. He will get Pittsburgh next week. They allow the most fantasy points actually, look at his next three games. Austin Hooper Cincinnati at Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay three of the seven worst teams against tight ends thus far. Dave before you give me two busts said. He's position. Tell me the running backs who are barely own that need to be picked up right now. And that's Ronald Jones of the Tampa Bay. Buccaneers Tampa Bay doesn't have a solution at running back right now paint Barbara has grossly disappointed. Could Ronald Jones really be that much worse. I think you're gonna see Tampa Bay make a move at least a little bit of a shift toward him coming out of there by week. And maybe Ronald Jones being a factor for fantasy owners before the season. Yeah. And listen Jameis Winston is worth stashing. If it's Patrick has a bad game. They go into their by. They might come out with Winston and we five. And the weapons are just sensational. So Fitzpatrick's doing great. I don't think wincing to do think anyone's going to do this. Well, but yeah, he's he's last I checked about thirty percent on CBS league. So take a look at Janus. All right. We're gonna bust in our next segment right now. I wanna take some calls eight five five two one two four two two seven real quick. I want to give a shout out to our producer. Ryan hickey. Ryan what's up, dude? Guess how you feel it over there? A little stressed. I listen. So so I'm in studio, we got this big thing a soundproof glass, and then on the other side of it. We got Ryan. And he wanted you go to college Ryan Penn State Penn State, you guys you pinched state shirt on every week. I come in here yet, you hope you wash that thing. It's obviously you're good luck shirt, which is great because I have one of those two. To United's fourth in one right now. So he does not even listening to me all big play pets state anyway little does. He don't I took a video recording of him during Penn State's last touchdown going, absolutely bonkers. And maybe I'll share it on Twitter. It's pretty well. Proven with him. I so congratulated I know you have a fun time tonight. A lot of fun. A lot of fun stressful fun. And that's what sports is all about. Now. Let's get some fantasy questions. We're gonna rapid fire. Don't say Hello don't ask how we're doing. We are doing great. And we appreciate your listening. We're just going to get your question one question per customer. Dave is going to give you an answer. And we'll move on. Let's start here with Georgia and California, George go. Nambiar? Need one guy Doug Baldwin, Chris Godwin? Kenny stills, Karen Johnson or Alkmaar free does out. Thanks. I'm gonna go with Chris Godwin. I think the touch on streaks can send out streak continues against Chicago goblin over Brita. Yes. Okay. Hey, real quick. Dave give me your thoughts on Doug Baldwin this week. I'm nervous about him. I game back probably as some Russ knock off. There's artery reports saying that he's not close to one hundred percent. I would I would not try and start him eight five five two one two four two two seven Chris in Chicago, Chris go Alpher Morris or ROY screaming an attempting standard. WIP.

"And go. Oh, I. I I it's just hard to understand how somebody could be that just blase about. Here's all. Yeah. We worked on the red zone. All sudden worked on to your penalties, although self wrong last night. And I'll do it sit there. What is this? Oh, no to do. We have a functioning tight end on this same. We're doing not tightening is on his team. Eric Sauber, Logan, Paulsen and Austin Hooper, and that likely in changing functional you tell me I was a big Eric's Sabra guy. He played okay had a pill. I mean, it was all right? But Austin Hooper steel to me has not improved his blocking. That's what I saw Blake Blake indicate or give me fifteen seconds, brother. I go back and he was saying Julio was kind of like this game. It wasn't Julio man. Like the man. Call. Hot one forcing opening day. But it was Matt Ryan with the bad. Oh, I t. Call on the play on our goal line. Like can we get to play one play is free? How can we get? Who who compete? Come on in. That's all. Like. The only money coming up my whole career. Well, let me say this Blake and thank you for the call indicate that there was a point in that game. A matter of fact, it was right before the play that Matt through the Julio the past that was ruled incomplete. I said I said Jarvis the falcons have not gone deep in a minute. They have a stretch to field is this happens stance. They thought about down. There wasn't a catch the catch. I don't know. I don't know what catches anymore. I just don't and last night doesn't help me with that. Either. I'm not blaming Julio. I'm just making the point that all those yards and all those catches don't do it for me Guineans. All that's all. I'm saying get in the end zone. You told us you worked on it all off season one for five. It's not good enough now. No, a smart dogs. Wanna get in the end zone. "Greg Jarrett, by the way, it looks like three hundred and fifty pounds and exact the exact thing they're telling those guys not to do both of them. Did. I know you're sitting at you must be sleeping in the meeting room. Then because you can't you can't do a great Jarrett did and he knows exactly what he did. Right. Well, the thing they especially in you, you say all right when you're in that part of trying to make a tackle or stop, Nick foles. He'd already thrown the ball. I mean, you don't have then tackle them and land on you could have three throws the ball. You could just push. Even the tackled him. And didn't I tackled him? And then kind of fell to the side and deride pile drive into the ground, and it's not a penalty called it a penalty right called it. Because he dropped pile drove him into the ground. And I'm like, dude, David telling you now for the last six weeks that this is a penalty. And then he gets up. I'll come on. What is that? I'm like, you can't be that stupid. So the other thing with the catch role. So we talked about the Julio Jones one already the first one in the first quarter that I did not like it all was Austin Hooper who goes to the ground the ball is moving clearly. And then also I mean, he never to me. And I understand it's a new rule, and you the surviving the ground thing doesn't exist. But I mean all the things that I heard about the new catch role. I didn't see any of that stuff in that Austin Hooper one I never felt like he secure the ball period, and it ended up being a catch and they reviewed so I spent a lot of time with jeans stair tower over the last couple of weeks, by the way during the lightning delay watch. Watched all of inside the end. Thank you know, boomer all the time. It's great. How're you doing? Excellent. Oh, good. Yeah. So so jeans third or basically explained to me what happened with the Corey Clement catch last year in the Super Bowl because he was the referee. Right. And he was talking to the empire after the all the video replay. And they had a miked up and everything and he's saying, hey that Corey had the ball the ball moved in his hands literally it moved. So therefore, I guess Alberto replay reverse a river on during the Super Bowl could have said look that ball's moving that's not a catch because that's the way they were ruling at all during the regular season. All of a sudden it became modified during last year's playoffs. So gene, basically explained that again to me that if the if the guy has got his arms around the football, and I'm showing on CBS sports network. Obviously the guy people listening Kenner status, but if the ball was inside your arms and up against your body. Right. And it kind of moves essentially, you still have control you still have the ball in your your arms against your body. But it just moving. It's okay. If it does that. If you catch the ball, I this away from your body, and you go to the ground, and then it hits the ground. And it moves literally last year. That's not a cash can't survive the ground right here. It is a catch which is. Okay. I I like it. I like it because they want more offense, even though eighteen to twelve doesn't actually tell you that there's for offense in the game, but they want more offensive place. So I think it's a little bit clearer that because even Kevin Harlan who was at the seminar with me when gene star tour guide into it without borough river on they confused all of us went the referee speak. Thought that that was a cat. She goes that's a catch. That's the way I see the role, and he was pretty emphatic about it. And sure enough it came back as a cat show the Austin Austin Hooper. All right. I mean, I. That was very close and everybody, you know, it's amazing. So at the link, you know, they have those big HD video your show this on on the video board and everybody's screaming. My guess it is a catch, folks. What have we been talking about for the last I still, but that one to me still didn't feel like it? I don't know even after hearing all that stuff. I just I gotta change. My eyes have to change now. To change your own way of watching the game and understand the game. The other the other play that I didn't understand last night. For Matt Ryan is the interception. He throws inside the ten yard line. I mean that I'm like what is that? That is like that's like some high school kid out there. I was gonna say. Any care. Right. Doesn't doesn't see the defender? Just sorta throws it out. Like, I don't know what. Yeah. It was a rookie play who was a rookie playing. They're really that play and the one where he misses Julio Jones down the side are the two places that I was like come on, man. You know, did these plays that guy of your ilk in your history, and your reputation and your ability, and the fact that you an MVP, and the fact that you got you just got one hundred fifty million dollar contract. You can't be making plays like this first game of the season. A team like the eagles. Who's who are all up in your defense, by the way, saved your ask is right after that interception. They came back and they got the deflected interception themselves. Right. And then they went down and finally scored. But I don't know. It's just to me. It was just really the offense of the the Atlanta Falcons led by the second highest paid player in the league who didn't play like boomer and geo on the fan and across the country on CBS sports network will get into the jets and giants and the rest of the NFL schedule coming up to catch. I got it. No, disputing.
