"7 60 WJR news Talk 7 60 wjr wear. We are sitting with 707 to go in the third quarter. Tampa Bay has 515 total yards of offense. Look, Can you say that number One motel? I've 115 yards of offense with 22 minutes of football left. She's my mother. I'm telling you Never never In my wildest dreams Lions. Of 87 monkeys, So not only you get run, but you're not putting anything up on granted. They lost Matthew Stafford early in this game. Agnew's get a return it this from six yards deep cuts right. 10 gets to the 15, and he's taken down as he gets to the 17 with a flag coming in behind the play. Doing the return legal block in the back receiving team number 86 half the distance of the gold First Hunter Bryant called for the penalty. Nice to have our regular crew with this year and week, 16 Day after Christmas, executive producer Nick Roddy producer engineer Al Rosenberg. Our statistician Mike Bratton. Spotter Joe away from sin. Glad you're with us. It Z boys didn't pretty. Yeah, we'll get through it together. I mean, there's a reason this team's looking for the general manager in their head coach right now. This is not good. This'd pad first in 10 after dependably from their own seven. It is the Andre Swift back to the line of scrimmage, and that's it. Jason Pierre Paul wraps him up. Takes it down. It'll be sex. Get in 10 E mean, this is law, miss everything that has gone wrong this year just rolled into one big rolling ball on it is And then we kind of knew that way. Didn't know this, but it was a lot of moving parts. A lot of things went wrong this week, but I never thought it would accommodate him into this. On second in 10 Daniel throws it is caught. That is swift. First down across the 22 23. I mean, look, fact is they haven't stopped anybody all year, right? Got Tom Brady coming in here with a reason to play and he just rolled them across, up and down the field with really no problem at all. But as he and offensively you couldn't do anything to give your defense rests, and as a defense, you want to try to take one thing away from nothing. Nothing. Nothing. We've been able to take away from that Tampa Bay offense today. Still 10. Here is swift band breaks through a hole across the 30. Nice run 11 yards out to the 33. It's one Winfield Junior made Stop line's gonna go Hurry up straight to the line now! 5 30 to go here third quarter trailing 47 to 7 flag All saints man moved too quickly. There. We'll start offense number 68 5 years. Okay, First time, I'll tell you what, completely unrelated topic. I don't know. Many left tackles to get out quicker than Decker. There's so many times where I'll watch him when I think that maybe they're gonna call a penalty because it looks like he's out quick. His timing isn't really is. I'm impressed with that. This technique is good too. Damn. It really is fundamentally he has some real sound real good technique. Pick up on that second lions here on 1st and 15. After the penalty throw right side It is over the head of Mohammed Sunu. We start looking ahead low, miss and say Okay, Well, what did they have to build on? Decker. Yes, rag now? Yes. Swift. Joma, Jax. Don't Jackson. Part of that question. Tell across be shown. He could play in this league. TJ Hawkinson, for sure, But they need pieces on the other side the ball then you don't have a lot on second down quickly left side and Dolan's got it. Looking for a flock doesn't find my Gets to the 30 yard line runs out of bounds game too. That's the play. The Tampa just ran it. Zach got a chunk play off of it because they picked up a block made a man miss and then student down the field. The Lions didn't really get the block on, didn't make anybody miss and they got two yards. But just look at Tampa from their linebackers back and you could tell what we need like you saying. That's a lot of pieces that we have. After ad, especially from the linebacker position, going back. So here come the Lions 13 13 now from their own 30 Carry on Johnson in there's the snap. Daniel back throws over the middle of this pot that is carry on to the 41 2 yards shy of a first down stacked up there by Devon White. Fourth and two miles will go for it got nothing else to lose. They'll do that. No person claiming you didn't Yeah. Have him so front play defense trying to get back. Maybe a fake. I don't know. We'll see what happens. Seven point of the game for the line. It's Jack Box. Well, that's a nice one. Yes, that angles it to the right hits. Inside the five takes the Lions bounces down by Justin Coleman at the six yard line. They're going to say he down, eight yard line either way, Terrific job by Fox. Toe 51 yard punt with no return Wall Side windows is the official window company of the Detroit Lions Radio network. Who could do that? We are the factory then go back to what you said John Pinder. See me on the day of the society of the ball. I mean, I love the way he has played, but you're right and Romeo core. If you know if you could re sign mission to make their pass rushers get paid. A lot of my strong got to decide. But once he hits the market What's he worked? Yeah, You're right. You seriously Mike Brad, I just handed me a note night. Probably just assumed there. They've not gotten across midfield yet. There you go. Said they won't now because Tampa Bay's got it. 1st and 10 from their own eight Keyshawn Bond takes their heads off gets across the 10 to the 13 yard line close to the 14. Austin Bryant with a tackle. He's another guy, Austin, Brian. That could be a peace health. Don't Dan. They have you guys stay on the field. They have some complimentary pieces. They don't have any ofus. They don't have big dogs. They don't have Devon White. They don't have secured Garrett. Right date on that they don't have. The guys were seeing for Tampa today that you feel in around, but they lead the way absolutely. Second down five for the bucks from their own 13. Blaine Gabbert on in relief. Tom Brady wants to throw steps up in the pocket throws caught Evans across the 30 35 breaks the tackle 40 and shoved that about 43 by a money order warrior. Tracy Walker had a shot at him back. The 37 yard line couldn't get him. Now picked up five after that ends up with 30 when you talk about going after when you have big receivers like Mike Evans, you've got to make sure you get these guys down. You've got your shot. You got to take your shot and try to get them down. Minimize the yards after catch bucks. Now, if they're 43 yard line leading 47 27 2.5 to go third quarter Gabbert's gonna work out of the gun. On first down, takes hands off that's born, and he's hit by Jared Davis. Behind the line breaks that tackle gets back to the line of scrimmage and actually ends up picking up a couple yards gets across the 42 the 41. That's a perfect example. Jared Davis hasn't dead right behind the line of scrimmage for a loss. And he breaks the tackle and ends up picking up three yards. You could say Yeah, the defense has been out there all day long. They're starting the way. Around, but again when you get your shot, you got to come through when you got to make the tackle. Derrick just didn't get it done that time. Second in seven Tampa Bay from their own 46 shotgun snap. Gabbert throws behind his intended receiver Scotty Miller incomplete. Down at the Lion 41 yard line had him wide open. Just missed them sort of be third down in seven coming up the minute 39 to go in the third quarter..

"Here we go. Wide receiver Kenny Golladay. He is out as his defensive lineman to Sean Hand and cornerback Jefa Cuda up there on the defensive line. Austin Bryant battling a bad guy limited practice on Friday, he is listed as doubtful. Ditto for running back DeAndre Swift, hey, has cleared by the way Concussion protocol. He is now on the injury report because of illness, which is probably a side effect of the concussion. I don't know. DeAndre is doubtful. Safety Tracy Walker hey was not on the injury list. Because of injury. He wasn't listed at all but no practice on Friday. He is questionable. Good news. Wide receiver Danny Amendola should make his way back into the lineup. And how about this? The fine tight end Hunter Bryant, who signed as an undrafted rookie out of Washington, has yet to play this season because of various injuries. He had a full practice on Thursday and Friday. We may see 100 Bryant in his Lions debut today, so there you go. Right now we turn our attention. You are. Friend, Torrey Petrie. Detroit lions dot com and Tori We were discussing earlier myself and Sean Darrell Bevell, making his head coaching debut in the National Football League. And, quite frankly, via his zoom call story. He's been a breath of fresh air. Yeah, I'm so happy for Darryl Bevel. Just a great guy, great person, And this is a really exciting opportunity for him. Guys get into coaching because they want to do it at the highest level, and he hasn't gotten that opportunity yet. And he has the chance starting today. So good for him Happy for him. You know it's been Fun to see him kind of bring his own flavor to the role, which is you know what you got to do when you are an interim head coach. You're taking over kind of mid season and things went the way they did, because you know something wasn't working. So you gotta bring your own flavor to the role and it's clear that he has done that this week, and it's been fun to watch. You know what it's interesting story that you say flavor because it really what personality mean use whatever term that you'd like. You've seen more personality and no disrespect to the previous regime. But it seems like it's been more fun. Has that been your take? Well, that is something that Darrell Bevell has specifically said, is that he wants his guys to have fun, he said. You know, he doesn't feel like working hard and having fun are two separate things, he said. They've They've always worked hard. I trust them to work hard. I just want to see them enjoy the game. Enjoy these last five games of the season, So that's been a specific goal of his. You know, Different players have said this week that they've Like music, all throughout practice to kind of AMP. Up the energy and things like that. So just little little things like that have have been part of what Darrell Bevell has been trying to do. Tori go back to the opener, The Lions held a 23 6 lead at the end of the third quarter. We know how it turned out. Also the rookie running back. DeAndre swept if he catches that passed late Lions win Hey, was probably looking forward to a little revenge against the Chicago Bears. But, you know, Tori, this DeAndre swift situation has been so interesting. Hey, has cleared concussion protocol. However, he has missed practice of late due to illness. Ah, head scratcher. Yeah, It definitely is unfortunate for the rookie. I mean, he had a breakout game. And then the week after that he gets the concussion and, you know, isn't able to practice for a little bit. So unfortunately, that has been the case for DeAndre Swift. I know he would have loved to get back out there on the field and, you know, go against Chicago, especially after how that game went for him. You know the first go around, but he was listed as doubtful, downgraded to doubtful over the weekend, so we'll see what ends up happening. But usually when they have to downgrade guys that that's not a good sign, and we definitely hope that DeAndre gets well soon. You know so often, Tori, we talk from the Lions perspective. A Zoe should here in Detroit. But for the Bears they've got to be looking at this game is a way to turn around their season. Hey, look, I mean, they started up better than anybody thought, especially that first game and it's really turned into a disaster. And it sounds like they're kind of expecting the unexpected going into this one. Yeah, I mean, we We have said that about a lot of games this season is Hey, This is a team that the lines could turn their season around against. But it's also a game where the opponent is thinking the same thing about the Lions because they've seen the lines have to go through a coaching change. This is their first game under interim head coach. They look at this and say, Hey, we could beat this team and you know, so so the Bears are coming into this with the same mindset. They were five and one to start the season. Then haven't won a game since week. Six. They've really gone downhill since the beginning of the season. They're not the same team that the Lions played in week one. So you know, both teams are are thinking the same thing. But it really comes down to what happens on the field today and whether you know Darryl Bevel and his team were able to make enough changes during the week and create a good enough game plan to be able to get the better. Of Chicago today. Alright, Torrey. Appreciate your time. Thank you for that before we let you go. How do you think your gators will do against Alabama? And that s E C championship. Guys. I am so excited for the S E. C championship game. I'm a little nervous. You know, I'm getting all the notifications on my phone this morning like Has Alabama secure their spot in the college football playoff. I'm like, why wait, Wait. They still get to play us. But, you know, we'll see what happens. Obviously, our defense needs to show up. If we're gonna win that one. Well said Tori. Thank you very much. Thanks, guys. Story. Petrie Detroit Lions Com Steve Courtney, Shawn, the lesion with you Here in Lyons, Radio Central were counting you down to the lions and bears more information coming your way. This is Lyons Radio, Seeing.

"We're hearing healing begins for the Lions. We knew coming into this game. DeAndre Swift was gonna be an active that is the case the under swift out with a concussion that he suffered this week. Danny Amendola out, Sean, Hand out. Austin Bryant out. Candy gala day out. That's a big list of guys. No, that won't be playing in this game. That's a lot of yard. It's just a lot of talent that's gonna be on the sidelines today, and you know, it's gonna be important for those guys like we always say that and it's not about the 1st 22 is about those guys that have to step in, so hopefully the guys filling in their roles. Would be able to handle their business. We know Teddy Bridgewater won't be out there. Christian McCaffrey not out there. That's a big part of their offense. Well, not just not having to see Christian McCaffrey's okay by me Good yet, Then they line that guy every well on the field. So you're right about that. And the beyond the switch here. I'm a little nervous about PJ being there is still the Teddy Bridgewater because we know Tandy. Is a stationary God, We know where he's gonna be as so. Just a tad bit nervous right now. Starting lineups brought to you by weeklies. Famous Eastern market. Corned beef. Remember to ask, is it? Wigley Start with the Lions up front on defense. Nick Williams, start on one end, Romeo. Quarter on the other. Daddy Shelton, John, Tennessee Niobe in their Everson Griffen Kinda had his coming out party last week. Frank. Karen made a couple plays. You're gonna eat all those guys today? Because you're missing Bryant. You're missing hand? Well, I like painlessly. They've been in the starting lineup. He's done a wonderful job in the time when he's come into the game, you slide Nick Williams out the defensive end. So I like how this all this defensive line is shaping up today. Jones Raglin Collins senior going to be the guys at the linebacking crew. You'd love to see Jamie Collins get revved up in the passing game today. Get back in the backfield. Disrupt that quarterback. Yes, that would be huge. We know Romeo's been playing out of his mind. But if we could get Jamie Collins Jr to contribute senior to contribute Get pressure on the quarterback. That's only going to help the alliance defense. True Font Dollar Warrior will be the starting corners. You'll certainly see Coleman and kudos. Well, Walker and Harmon will be the safety's look. They've got their work cut out for us, regardless of who the quarterback is. Robbie Anderson, DJ more big plays waiting to happen. And when you get the third down the guy that usually look to his Curtis Sandy, that's right then. Coverage. Yeah, I'm all right with tackling from the second. There is what I'm a watch. When those guys do catch the ball. How can we eliminate the yards after the catch? And Mike Davis, who is in for Christian McCaffrey tied for the league lead and broken tackles this year? You're going to get him down and the Lions were not very good versus broken tackles. So again, we're gonna have to rally. Get to the ball, Get multiple hats around the ball and get these guys down. All right for the Lions up front today, Decker one tackle Crosby at the other. You got Toe rag Now in the middle Jackson invite, I'll be in there. Thies Guy's got a talented front for Carolina. Brian Burns is coming along. He's really good off the edge. He's got three sack fumbles this year. And is that the top of the league? Impression quarterback Well, their defense is one of the top defense and pressure greats and getting pressure on the quarterback. So, Dan, it's gonna be so important for those starting fire to establish the run game early. Take pressure off map doing that passing game. Then we could look the pass the ball against this young second there. Noah medulla know Kenny got today. We knew that. But you're gonna have to hope to teaching Hawkinson can step up quick to see fists and the other guys Marvin Jones, Marvin Hall. Mohammed Sunu. We might see him today, so we'll have to wait and see..

"Your Detroit Lions with the opportunity to win their second in a row. And with that, get back to 500. Steve Courtney here introducing you to my broadcast bar. Do Mr Shawn Delusion, Steve. I'm fired up. I'm with you. And this is look. Get back to 500. Then think about Thanksgiving. You know, those guys were just focused on today. In Carolina. We in the media are afforded the luxury of being able to look ahead. C. This is a monster. Four days Now you find a way to win both games. All of a sudden, you're it six and five. And you can it least entertain thoughts about the P word. Heading into December, and I think I can speak for you. When I say that was so much fun to go through that process in 2016 and come close and 2017. It's just a different vibe around time. Around town when you at least have the possibility Of going to the P word. I still won't allow myself to say it yet. I won't do it, but I'm reading between the lines. And I think you are very well. I'll tell you this much. You've heard the expression next man up as it applies to the Lions in Charlotte. Today. It will be next men up because the Lions Are a beaten up football team is matter of fact. There is probably a lot of extra seats on that plane out. The Charlotte, Danny Amendola, Kenny Golladay, DeAndre, Swift, Austin Bryant, Sean and They will not go, which means opportunity for others. And you know what? Uh, you know, DeAndre Swift that really bums me out because of the way he played in the win against Washington. Just last week. As a matter of fact, the rookie a career high 149 scrimmage yards, But don't forget about carry on Johnson. I know Adrian Peterson will more than likely get to start, but this is an opportunity for carry on to make a statement. Yeah, I think people forget how good he was, You know, Unfortunately for carry on, he's had a little bit of the injury bug. That's something That a lot of people said even before he was a Detroit lion, That's something to look out for. Steve, Look, let's go back to DeAndre Swift. The lions utilize him the way that a lot of people I know you and I included wanted to see him utilize. I mean to me. The kid deserves 20 touches a game and you can distribute that anyway. You want pass and run. But he responded with that. So let's hope he's not out long. All right. As far as the Panthers go there, beating up his well, Christian McCaffrey probably Top three backs in the National Football League. He will not go. He's been battling a bad shoulder quarterback Teddy Bridgewater throwing it a 72% clip. 13 touchdown, seven picks. He is going to be literally from what I understand a game time decision. Look, the Panthers are three and seven. They have lost five straight in those losses, though they have been right there with the exception of getting blown out by Tom Brady and the Bucks. Let me just bring this to your attention. Running back Mike Davis. He's got a 4.2 yards per carry average. As a matter of fact, he ranked second among running backs with 47 receptions this season, something I'm sure the Lions are aware of. Yeah, that's something, Steve. We've seen it before. Guys coming out of the backfield or tight ends. You know, hurting the Detroit line, So that's something they better account for today. Number nine Matthew Stafford expected to get the start. Although he injured a ligament in his throwing hand and you go back to the beginning of the week. There was a question as to whether or not Matthew Stafford would be able to go look This dude is a warrior. He has been throughout his National Football league career, and it looked like he overcame it because he injury actually took place in the first quarter in the win over Washington last week. He looks like he did Okay. Yeah, he was all right. And you know what? You know what? That guy Steve, They're going to have to force him out. That's just the way he is. He's tough as nails. I mean, we could sit here for the next 10 minutes and talk about all the injuries that he's played through, or we didn't even know about until after the fact. I'm with you. You knew that he was going to show up and he's gonna produce today and a positive going into this still with the Carolina Panthers involves Wide receiver Marvin Jones Jr He was on the injured report earlier this week is a matter of fact. He didn't practice on Wednesday because of a knee. You know Matthew Stafford's going to be happy. It looks as though Marvin Jones will be able to go full practice on Friday. Those two have a tremendous chemistry and let me just say this is a sidebar. Marvin Jones wrote a piece for the Players Journal about the year. And what did he what a year it has been since he and his lovely wife lost their son, Marlowe. One of the most powerful things I've ever read in my existence. And you know, Marvin Jones is playing this game still with a very heavy heart shown here here if you haven't seen that yet, matriculated your way. To Twitter, and it's been floating around. I mean, so many people have. Steve echoed exactly what you said, and that's been one of those forded and retweeted things. Take a moment and read that it was very, very powerful and moving stuff. All right, Steve. Corny Sean believes in here were for you and lions Radio central. We are chock full of information as always, what else you might be asking yourself is going on with the Lions today. We're.

"Perfect morning to gather around the radio as we paint a picture of your lions and the Carolina Panthers, Of course, the home little blue and silver for the second time this year, looking to win their second straight It will not be easy as a travel to Charlotte to take on the three and seven Panthers. The Panthers have gone through some problems of late, having lost five in a row. That's why they're three and seven for crying out loud. The Panthers lead the all time serious 6 to 3 and Carolina has won two of the last three meetings. We have some semblance of lions radio, central social distancing is being practiced. Steve Courtney here and we go toe. My partner, Mr. Shawn believes in. How are you, lad? Tremendous, Steve. It's a pleasure to be with you. I'm just gonna echo exactly what you said. I mean, this is a monster. Next few days for the lines. This is an opportunity to not only put together a little win streak, but I'll tell you what Steve, six and five heading into December Maybe. Just maybe you can use the P word. I'm not gonna use it. No, until they follow through, But maybe just maybe we can start talking about the P word. Well, here's the deal. Normally we hold off on the Lions injury situation until a little bit later on in the broadcast, But it certainly bears repeating right off the get go virtually out of nowhere. The Lions ate, banged up football team first and foremost quarterback Matthew Stafford. He suffered a partial tear in a ligament in the thumb. There's throwing hand in the victory over the Washington football team. Now, here we go. If you hear your name, you will not be participating in this tilt against the Panthers. That would be wide receiver Danny Amendola, wide receiver Kenny Golladay running back DeAndre Swift. He is concussed, and it's an interesting situation, Shawn. He practiced on Wednesday. Next thing you know, he ends up on the report on Thursday with that concussion. Also defensive end Austin Bryant. He was downgraded yesterday to out Dido four defensive lineman dish on hand. Hey, has a bad growing He will not be participating. So you know what partner the phrase next man up all of a sudden becomes next man up. It's amazing Carolina going through a similar thing is you will note Steve. It was it was really funny. Especially in you'll hear it on the fantasy report coming in a couple minutes. You just didn't know who was going to go during the week. And this is where depth has to pay off and and an opportunity arises for in Adrian Peterson. Dare I say a carry on Johnson Tiuna reassert themselves in the pecking order off what's going on with the Lions, but Find a way to win. That's that's the goal. Have to do it right now. No excuses the next four days. Well, I'll tell you this the lions to shore up the troops. They have elevated defensive tackle Frank here in as well as wide receiver Mohamed Sanu off the practice squad. Little background. Herren has been parts of the past two seasons with the hunt a little blue and silver. Splitting time between the practice squad and the main roster is a matter of fact, hey was elevated last week playing 21 snaps in that win over Washington Sunu. Meanwhile, you may not even know he joined the Lions earlier this month. Coach Matt Patricia recently raved. I mean, raved about how the veteran receiver has looked on the practice field, so hopefully he will be able to make some contributions. Sean, you mentioned The Carolina Panthers. They are also banged up Christian McCaffrey will not be able to go. The find running back has been battling a bad shoulder. It's a matter of fact. There, quarterback Teddy Bridgewater throwing it a 72% clip 13 TDs. A supposed to seven picks. He is going to be a game time decision with a bad need, Always like the way he played there, Shawn. Yeah, You know what He's been through the wringer, and that's the type of guy you root for coming back from some serious injury and what not, but last night I read Steve. They said a true game time decision is opposed to a fake game time decision, but My guess is Steve. This is just a guess. With some limited practices under his belt. I would be surprised of Mr Bridgewater didn't take the field today with the Panthers. Well, this depleted lions defense, you know? No Christian McCaffrey, you know? Okay, That's one thing, But you've got the crafty veteran Mike Davis, who will be at that running back position, and he has had success 4.2 yards per carry average. And the Lions will have their work cut out again with this depleted D. Yeah, it is going to be difficult. Look, they've been difficult on themselves like Let's be perfectly honest, I would love Steve Love. One of these weeks. And maybe today is the day for this defense to step up to take a little pressure off this offense, because, as we've talked about so many times, it's often almost feels the need to go down the field and put some points on the board. Let's insert stop settling for three here. But wouldn't it be great if they really put together one heck of a defensive effort? Well, that would be awesome because you know what a win gets the lion's to five and five ahead of the Thanksgiving tilt. With the beleaguered Houston Texans. Look, it's lying right there for this Lions team. There is no question about it. How bad do they wanted? That becomes the question Steve Courtney. Sean believes in here with you. Online's radio Central. The countdown is underway Your lions in Charlotte to take on the Carolina Panthers. Information of bounds. You better believe it, such as what else is going on with lions today?.

That would be Austin Bryant are not so let's just all right here. I know for you, it had to feel great just to be back on the field. Just give me some thoughts haven't gone through what you've been through and be able to get back out there with your teammates. Yet, and first doesn't want to say thank you for the interview. But, yeah, I felt great to be back out there with my teammates. You know, as everyone knows battle injury, you know, since I've been here last year comeback and able to play a couple games get hurt again the end of the year and To go through a whole nother rehab process on the same injury, just a different arm. It was really hard on not gonna lodge just being away from the game, but I'm really thankful for my Lord and savior. Jesus Christ, because I know without him. You know, It was some tough times throughout the rehab process. Where, you know, I want to quit. And I don't know if I ever see the light in the tunnel. So just eternally grateful to God for you know, allow me to get back on the field. It was great to see you out there. No going in. You guys probably put a lot of emphasis on stopping down and cook that proved to be really difficult. Today. That was a big difference in this game is being able to stop. You always want to stop the run, but stopping him in particular, prove very tough. Yeah, that was a great player. You know, I played against him in college. And you know, of course here so very hard to stop. But we've got to be better way. We know we can stop the run. But we didn't show that today. They were better. You know, they outplayed us, so we gotta go back, Get back to work back to the fundamentals and come back out next weekend and play play a lot better. You know, they start fast and then you're able to get in the game. And one thing coach really stresses is winning the end of the half, and they were able to score down there. At the end of the half really felt like that kind of swung. Samo met him in their direction. Yes, definitely self. Like you said. You know, Coach talks about it all the time when it'd end tohave to give momentum going into the second half. They score kind of took a little bit alive. They got momentum way have plenty of chances to get back in the game, but we didn't capitalize on them and you know that's on us. So we got to fix those problems. This is the first time let's let's get to one bright spot from today since 1977 that the lines of block two punts in the game. You got one just talk me through that play and how it developed for you. Everybody just did their job and I was able to beat my guy. We recovered. The ball s so it was just a great, you know. Ah, unit effort wasn't just me. Everybody did their job to make that happen. Same thing when you get the block by Romeo, you get the second block. How did you see that One? And I know for a second there. It looked like you might have had scoop and score in your mind because that boss kind of bouncing around a little bit out there. Yeah. You know, Rome did a great job in the egg out, you know, being the center hell of effort by him. I always have been able to scoop in the score, but maybe next time, but, yeah, it's decided we practice it. Wrap it every week. So you know, everybody did their job and I was able to come comfrey and about I know this isn't what you guys want to put on tape in terms of this defense. Just give me a thought as we leave here. On what you guys have to get back and work on is you get ready to go. Because in this league, it starts right there. We're stopping the run. Yeah, I mean, it's all about our fundamentals. I mean, everybody at this love with his talented everybody has God given ability. So it's all about your technique to beat your guy and stop the run in to me, you know, Stopping Iran is all about attitude. So we've just got to get that greedy attitude and And, you know, just know that no matter what nobody's going to run the ball in there, So we got to go back this lead you back to the fundamentals and take me and come back out next week and show that we stop the rise. You know, we can't keep talking about you Got a soda? We could do it, Austin. Great stuff. It was great to see out there would look forward to seeing the rest of the way. Thank you for the time. "Cabernet. John Legend who tweets out? All cops want to do with Phil Black. People for no reason at all rock Obama when he was president he commissioned the panel with instructions to prove that crops were racist and they came back and said Interesting enough and he could. Well what do you mean aren't GonNa Block men more likely to be shot by the way we have two and a half times more likely there. You go yeah. He's three hundred times more likely to actively trying to go. Well isn't a black man. More likely to be imprisoned. GonNa White Man. Yeah He's twenty four times more likely to be in prison than than a white person. Well there you go Yeah except he's thirty times more likely to be a murderer and fifteen times more likely to be a violent criminal so not having another Sankar people look a gentleman by the name of Roland Fryer. He's a Harvard University professor and he and he absolutely believes in cops are racist and he decided to use the economics professor and he decided youth economic theory can prove it. And you look at all the facts. That's all the data and he just group it now not unique. You don't hear studies a lot because they keep coming the same. Which is it's not happening. But most of them they don't they don't they. Don't publish it. What Barack Obama did we give? That information held famous press conference and he said people are too long beach off by the police find work. That's always said Roland Fryer you can use it published anyway. Which is why he the first hero. He came to a conclusion looking at the fact that the other than what he believed to be true and he published anyway. Even you to it. Listen to it for yourself. So it's been disproven all right but the problem is the plan. I mean this is what's interesting. What what would you say the plan is when you go around telling everybody there were black hatefully right during the last super bowl Anquan boldin played two videos. Two different commercials that crude according to this inspire change organization that police officers get away with killing innocent blocked. The his proof of that was to provide two separate scenarios in both of those scenarios. The police officer didn't get away with it in one contract for sent to prison for twenty five years and then the other got sent to prison for ten years. And what's interesting about? That is neither would have been sentenced at all given the circumstance of the events. Had THEY NOT BEEN COPS? They were sent to prison because they had police expertise and should have done a better job guy who went to prison. He was the one who killing cousin. He was in prison because he failed to identify themselves as police officer similarly to the female officer in Dallas. I keep in mind. The victim's family played for her not to have any sense at all but they said not because she went into the wrong house but because again she has police training. She should've known better. She should have given this person. Opportunity should not have just opened fire. So the proof that concer racist murderers and get away with killing. Black people is to tops. Who went to prison and only went to prison because they were so. I'm not taking that cases improve but at the end of all this what is it all about. What is the message here? If you're black be violent towards the police hastily run from the police right now to paraphrase the only funny line from the movie. The interview then firm you poppy. Attacking the top is a bad plan. You know what cops do when they're afraid of you. Well they shoot you. That's the whole thing. That's that's why we we testify in court officer. Why did you shoot this because I was afraid for my charge? This man thank you very much so getting all these folks to be angry at the fully. Be Violent towards the police in my mind. That's only a whole lot of payment. It's another person's hands too far. That's not solving the problem. That's not far the problem at all. It's making the problem worse and ice maintain. The folks are not stupid. You know exactly what they're doing. They know exactly how much money at rolling in and they're doing it intentionally the SOSA flames and every single time you you had the case of the Sienese seller The I believe it was in At Rouge I believe. It was where you hadn't sky. He was perennially. Stand in front of the marketing. So we selling CDs and it was a pirated CDs situation. Aniston saw that had in point pointed a gun at somebody. We don't know who he pointed a gun at. We don't know why I'm GONNA get based on my experience so many probably tried to rob. Somebody probably came over the night and tried to rob his and he pulled out the gun showed it to the guy the guy split some citizen sees this call to talk okay. You Got a felony. He probably shouldn't be introduction of a handgun but he is. What's the consequence for that? Probably not probably maybe parole violated if he was on for all those away for maybe five. This guy is listening to rock. Obama is listening on Capitol Hill. Listen John Legend. He's a black man with a gun. They flat out told COPS getting killed for no reason at all. Thank you John Legend. Who said that like a dozen times in a tweet? So what does he do for the gun? What are the cops? Do they go through a US? The for spectrum that is unprecedented. Under these circumstances they they use their commands us there by the pepper spray. 'em They tackle They're actually on top of this guy grabbing his hand his hands on the gun in his pocket. They're telling him don't pull that gun out one copy with a gun at the back of his has a suit you pull that gun out. I'm going to shoot you. But he believed his mind. Cops going to anyway. I gotTA kill these or I'm GonNa Dump because listen to these folks. He listens folks. Who Tell them what you need to do. If your hand is on fire saying about your pain pills maybe throw on some gasoline. If he when he could have done and he'd be alive today. Instant did say. Hey guys my bad. My you know if you've ever gone it's right here. I'm not GonNa Talk to you okay. La Down on the ground and a face whatever charges okay but they listen to these lies. They listen to this nonsense. And they're they're doing what they're told eight to COPS COPS with inevitable results and it may sound very derogatory to say this but I think that when that happens all these folks that are making all this money pouring gasoline on this fire. Our Hi five ten yet. Another case we can march more streets. We can burn and in the end. It's just gotta come down to being thoughtful and solving the problem I find out what the problem if Penn Bank get robbed and another bank robbers are blow and I do my job. I catch all ten bank robbers according to what we call logic. I'm a racist because I've arrested more black men for robbing banks and I have white people like I have any say or control whatsoever over the race of the person committing the crime like we send in our car is the call is being put out and say please what the suspect the black person leaves let him be a black person and let me assure you that's the opposite of what we're doing. Is he you the opposite of what we're doing is that you know? And then we hear all these other like anyone is famous in block. They have to get their street Chris. I was pulled over by the cops one time because I was black man driving expensive car so they figured it must have been so many times. It's actually happened trice you know. Why Zero Time Papin? Because we don't suspect. Expensive cars have been so expensive. I don't get so they have anti-theft devices on the only way they get stolen is the person gets carjacked and that goes out in general broadcasts so we all know and even though we'd have to do is just run. The license plate black people fancy cars are not getting pulled over. You don't get follow her tweaker white dude driving around in eighty five Corolla okay. 'cause those cars are so easy to see a Honda accord so far. That's that's what we look at the stolen car. All right it's just it's perception becomes reality confirmation by it and people who have an agenda and make money off. A problem have no information whatsoever. Makings problem any better. And that I think is how I look at it. The whole problem that we're facing right we need to start carrying about solving the problem and stop profiting off exacerbated. Why I think you're right on with what you're saying because I think for so long in for so many years people have done exactly that they wanna make money off of things rather than coming up with the solution for it because there's more greed in the world than anything else right ingredient. Our motivator are really corrupt things right. I mean I personally think the greatest drug of all time is pride in pride comes with a lot of other. You know dangerous so well. Yeah go ahead all right well. Pride goes before the fall. Yeah go ahead. Well I was just going to add in if you wouldn't mind sharing if you're able to share. Is there anything as a police officer law enforcement detective The many roles that you've served in is there anything in particular that comes to mind. That really scared you. Maybe a case or situation again. I don't know how many details you can give. But but I'm curious well you know. I've I've been around for many many call. I think the scariest situation though is when you're doing riot control in third in Los Angeles County during the ninety two riots particularly scary situation We had one and Orange County city. I wound up from. We had In retirement Protest situations are always the same. One Guy said something necessarily inflammatory. And then there's the other group is way over reacting to what the person said so now. We got a big screaming. Allah riot. We've got Austin Bryant here with one group one side and other group on the other we're trying to keep you from attacking. Both of them are yelling and screaming at us. Saying you should be on our side. You should be on our side and we're sitting here thinking dude. We're the only ones who don't want to be here. Okay there's sometimes it's frankly feel about politics you know everyone's yelling and screaming at cops. It's like yeah we're kind of don't like any of you But you know so. I had a situation one time where we're doing one of those things and and somebody was coming to. It was an older man. He was coming in trying to get to the meeting that the protesters were trying to block and they'd been told. Don't block the driveway. While they start blocking the driveway they start banging on the car. The guy panicked stops on the gas. It comes flying right through our line right at me. And we all bail out of the way people laying around on the ground. Big Open hole now. The crowd wants to swarm through our line to go after this guy got people behind me. You're addressing this guy. His deal and I was kind of faced with the whole rushing mall and all I could do. It starts just screaming at everybody. Get BACK GET BACK. Get back and he hit me. He hit me and I said everyone got hit by the car. Lie Down the ground. I'M GONNA get mad at everybody else. Stand the back and so that was that was a pretty tense and foment where it really felt like danger out of control and in the end. That's really what we're afraid of. We're afraid of losing control as police officers we have all these training and processes and okay in this situation where these taxes this situation those tactics when all those attacks tactics so wrong and something unexpected.

"One thing that keeps sticking out to me is how these teams over the recent years Ohio State in the secondary Clemson upfront Bama front some of these teams that just have super loaded where they're gonna lose seventy guys to the draft invariably. It seems like a guy further down the roster turns into a really good player. You know, whether it's an atom Humphries just that type. And I'm wondering having watched Clemson and Bama who stood out that is gonna get drafted probably not in the first round is still going to be a really good player that may just some of these guys that get further down these rousers that we're not talking about. I wouldn't be shocked if Albert Huggins wound up making an impact I mean, he's impressive from Clemson. You got four guys that are going to be drafted three potentially in the first round with Christian Wilkins Cleveland Foral index or Lawrence then yet Austin Bryant the other starting defensive end who's probably gonna be amid round pick and then Albert Huggins. When Dexter lords is out because spend in the two playoff games comes in. And does a really good job. He's been a great backup the last couple of years for Clemson. And I think he's a day three pick and a player that nobody really knows outside of you know, huggy bear is the nickname. But as a guy who's never really started at Clemson. I think he's gonna wind up getting drafted and could wind up, you know, making a roster and contributed in the NFL couple of guys real quick Mitch Hyatt the left tackle for Clemson four year starter Todd does he end up at guard. Right tackle, obviously, it left tackle the athletic quick is. But you give them trouble. But it is an inside guy can be a factor there and rent. Throw the third down star made a lot of big catches threat is career Humphries making it with Tampa Bay certainly hunter Renfro could. And for Alabama is say a is this the guy to have when your football team was banged up late in the year. But I think he showed this year that you could get it done at a fairly high level nine sacks. Yeah. It was all said and done. Yeah. You Costa ten sacks gesture that he was very much under the radar. You know, guys, I'll give you an example of how this played out this last year. But the Sean hand who is this kind of, you know, obviously, a big time recruited Alabama. But kind of just one of the rotational player did he run hot and cold? There's questions there. But you know, it's funny dish on hand was like a breakthrough player for the Detroit Lions this season. Arguably maybe the best player on that defense for stretches of the season became on hand came on the Dr show last year prior to the guy going he came on eight early April, and he had a chip he felt like, hey, it's a scheme. We'll talk about my numbers. He was highly motivated to prove the doubters and the skeptics wrong that hey United put me in the first and second round, I should be. He just had an attitude about him. And it was it was not just being cocky and arrogant was really real that. You could sense it. Hey, hand was highly motivated to really come in and make a splash. And that was that turned out to be one wheel of a pick. Yeah. It's just amazing. Some of these these teams, I mean, if you think about it if you couldn't necessarily break the rotation at Clemson, it's not a big shot you on the defensive line. I mean, you could have been on another team in just absolutely broken through. And then from the scouting standpoint. There's maybe a few a few less miles on that. Oh, dominator anyway, bro. Alabama had twenty two players drafted the last two years. Eight of them in the first round. I've got twelve more guys this year. Now, I've got to go back and look because a couple of gray. Davis has already said he's going back to school. But when the official list comes out, but before the national championship game in terms of eligible process. Spects? I had another twelve guys with draftable grades on it. I mean, it's just amazing. You talk about that would be thirty four in a three year span now, and it's it it just keeps happening over and over..

"Ideally for buffalo, Jona Williams. We'll be the pick. But I can't put them all the way at nine again. Marshawn Gary from Michigan. Kyle Williams retiring keep improving at defense, which is excellent Josh Allen and the games he started and finished issue. It was five and five with at buffalo. Bill team. We've got off the did some nice things upset the Vikings early. Then dominated the dolphins in the final game. So darnold, Josh Allen. Both look like it's going to be a heck of a rivalry and that AFC east moving forward. So I think offense is going to be heavy in this draft. But you gotta just take the bus. Supplier. You can't force it at night at the best players defensive lineman. You gotta take them. Hey, Thanh, Chris Brown and Bristol. Here wants to know, you know, you got to you got to do film room for the for Clemson. And I know you've seen them in person early in the season. One thing that keeps sticking out to me is how these teams over the recent years Ohio State in the secondary Clemson upfront Bama front some of these teams that just have super loaded where they're gonna lose seventy guys to the draft invariably. "And what are, you know, got some movement around the NFL, obviously, we'll start college. But the the Packers had their guy the Browns, very well might have their guy the car does look to have their guy, but get out the trumpet star playing taps. For ROY who died and I'll be doing this on Monday. If the patriots lose to the chargers. Her dirt dirt route. For that. What you're trying to get to. Yup. Why it's over it's not a bad day over at a bad day. Let me tell you why. Upbeat statement. Go ahead. Once David we could rip through the stats and invariably. They'll pop into the show, of course, part of the equation. It's over because now you have other programs going into the state of Alabama taking the top talent, which never happens at now using that to beat Alabama dirt dirt. Her. Alabama still going to get the towns over. I've just got to tell you that gonna lose a game in the SEC next year watch it could happen. Why would you not agree that it's over because it's it's Nick Sabin. And the program is as strong as ever been. They get the best than top recruits at the top recruiting class again this year, just because they lose a national championship team didn't lose to a superior dominate destroyed. Let's face it to would just had a bad day. It this Alabama team is dependent upon at least this season their quarterback having a great day. It's what they've they've won all season long. So when he has a bad day, and it wasn't really even that bad. It was just the two turnovers that did that ultimately led to one directly to points in the second interception. Ultimately, let the points as well. It just got them behind the eight ball. I think there's a bigger issue. Bigger story here that might lead to Alabama becoming. Less dominant because they're never going to be dead. They're never going to be. But that's just asinine. But it's not like it's not acid hide history reflects, okay, some very pronoun down here. Anywhere. He's not going anywhere. But there is a shift that I think has happened with the university of Alabama relative -til programs like Clemson. And it's it's a subtle thing. That may or not mean anything, but I think it does given the kid that's coming out of high school nowadays. So this is you heard this leading up to the game. You hear Nick Sabin talking about the national championship game. You've talked about his kids and everything that you know, going into the season. He so just like we gotta get up there. And do we gotta do women win. The game would be disciplined. Right. Boring. Yup. You hear you making my point. The difference in energy, you hear Davos big talking about all shucks. This is amazing. Our guys are playing for the national championship. Cool is that that's that's that's fantastic. These guys are gonna play loose go out there and have a heck of a time. They gotta do you feel easy. You're not constricted and appealing for young kid course, it's appealing to a. And then and then the second level too. That is coaches want to stay with Davos Sweeney. They stay Brent Venables is one of the best defensive coordinator. In college football phenomenon has been since he was in Oklahoma. And they screwed them over entire Mike stoops forced him to leave and come to Clemson. And we've seen when he's done with this Clemson program he could easily easily find a job. So he could he stays the Clemson now that may or may not be longer if they keep winning national championships. But my point is in Alabama. It's like it's a stepping stone to a head coaching job. I hadn't heard Michael Oxley name. I swear to you until this season when he became offense coordinator, I'm like who's that guy? Now, he's leaving the office a court or head coach somewhere else. Same thing happened when lane kiffin and was kind of an understanding that lane kiffin was getting his career saved here at Alabama took him to a national championship helped him win one. But then he was bouncing right? Same thing happened with Sark. Yeah. You had this issue? Out in out in California. You know, what you come over here? We'll save your career for a little bit bouncing. It is impossible to recruit kids when your coaches are constantly turning over. So you mentioned Justin Ross who's from Alabama who should be at the university of Alabama. To go to Clemson. And they said this on the broadcast. I realize it, but he said the coaches turnover too, much and Saffi at players are very savvy they've ever been. And when you when you get that on the coach's side, coupled with the Knicks Sabin stoic were businessmen. Thank you very much of that coupled with the fact that the players, right? I went and did a game dot did the iron bowl down there. Not talking to some of the the insiders at the university of Alabama. And I was like, oh, yeah. This kid this kid's checked out a little bit this season. Yeah. He had a hell of a year two years ago. He's checked out. Now why because he's gone to the National Football League. He's worried about the on Sundays. He's not worried about Saturday's anymore. And so it's it's it's it starts at the top. And it's trickling down. That's the bigger concern for Alabama. Can that flip? I don't know. But I know Clemson and dabbled Sweeney have the right formula to get kids excited to get kids to wanna come there to know that they will stay right. Chris Wilkinson left. He got a bounce last year and gone to the National Football League. Austin Bryant good on the same thing. Bounced go onto the National Football League. They decided to stay enjoy being around their head coach miserable. They love being around the program. And they love the opportunity to go win a national. It's not about the steps. It's not about the steppingstone so Alabama. And this is just from this is how I view it. It's become a stone. Whereas Clemson has. Become like an institution, even though Alabama is also an institution. It's just it's different. Like the perception is changing a both of these schools. So then how am I wrong because you started out saying that was wrong with everything you said backed up because they're still going to get the best talent in Alabama. It's still the best. It's the power beat them. Single handedly. That'd BT Jerry Judy is a stunt. I get it. Obviously get their five stores, of course. Alabama. You look at Alabama's wide receiving corps. Those dudes are unbelievable. They're they're they are men among boys. Justin Ross just got away. Sometimes it hap-. Okay. Okay. It does happen. I'm going to be fair to regard by and large. That's not. That's not the that's the exception. Here's I'm going to the way you positioned in large part that we absolutely agree there. The difference in in how we view each program. Alabama is a football factory wrong with that. No, not at all Clemson happens to be a football factory. Oh, good. Clemson has built itself up to become a football factory. But a football factory that has great value and places great emphasis on family and family doesn't run out on each other fairly doesn't always look up and say, hey, calls up his agent getting a better job us this. I want to go here. No family stays and family fights together and family flourishes together. Factories use it as a conveyor belt to make more money. Get higher profile jobs. They were what fourteen turnovers. Fourteen different assistant coaches in the last two years on Nick Sabin. Stan that's insane. We can focus on all the four and five star recruits we want, but I think it showed up in the amount of preparation. Yeah. Well. From the coach think about this think think about the story that I had that I told you last week when when when George wells passed away, right? It was just this relationship, and it wasn't just coach wells. It was Dany Wilmer. It was Kim MAC. It was my position code recruited me. They were there still kin kin left a little while ago. But then he will we're still there. Right. So you think about what actually builds a program? Of course, it's the head coach. You gotta have a good head coach who has good schemes and things of that nature and how's the right coordinated etcetera? But it's also like the the guts of an organization, and that fourteen coaches, some of whom are integral in recruiting leave and turn over and go other places because they're building their resume because they're tired of the stat. But it's also just Bill I building my resume. You know, I'm gonna take a job that's going to give me the greatest opportunity to advancement. It's actually it's survival its survival ISM. It's great because you can you can have success as the wide receiver coach or whatever it may be special teams coordinator at the university of Alabama. Oh, yeah. I wanted a national championship with under Nick Sabin. And I learned x y and z and the discipline and the precision with what's he runs his organization. I'm going to do the same thing with my little twists hire me as your next head coach. It's that's what it's become an Alabama and it works. They're going to win national championships. Not not killing Alabama. It's just a way that they go about their business. It just feels very different at Clemson. It just really Mike Shula. And we've talked about this before because there was some not overly noticeable dense in Alabama's armor, but if you look closely enough, you could see the talent gap that disparity narrowing ever so slightly, okay. By the way, Davos should have three championships. Shawn Watson that defense twice. He could have. And he's one eighty percent of his regular games regular season games. He's a lot younger the Knicks Sabin aside from the actual difference on their birth certificate, which matters. And sometimes doesn't matter the difference in projecting. You know, what they project is night and day, if I'm a sophomore, and I've got my pick of schools in a year or two right number to commit and I'm a I'm a four star guaranteed possible. Five star. I'm watching Nick say, but I'm saying. Connect to this guy. And I'm not trying to diss Nick Sabin. Nick Sabin is one of the two with two or three best football coaches to ever walked the planet earth, Bill Belichick, Nick Sabin. And we'll throw in whatever. Great. Whether it's Newt Rockne whatever all time where you want to hear about Bart Lombardi Lombardy. You. Five there's no doubt, regardless of professional or amateur level. But you know, once Nick Sabin leaves or once the crash becomes a little wider and a little more noticeable this North Carolina when Dean Smith moved on coach Goth ridge. They went through a down period. Every great program bells this and Shula bond. Then you know, Francioni was okay. I mean, let's not make it seem like Alabama goes eleven at one every year, but they have won five national championships out of the last ten because they've had Nick Sabin. Now, of course. But now you're seeing you're seeing the. You're seeing the mortality of a Nick Sabin led program or comes crashing down that season they go eight and four they will lose an SEC game mex- year watch they'll lose a game. And then maybe the national semi-final we'll put them there the national semifinals had a smoking somebody. Maybe they win. They better get kickbacks or they had the best kicker. They signed a three star recruit kid from Alabama. They finally got a good kicker coming in. That was big big problem this year, they're going to it's going to get tighter and worse not easier and better. Yeah. But it's not. But that's also because the programs around them are getting better. I understand that. And so you have to advance you have to evolve. I don't know if he this Alabama program hasn't fault. There's still great knocking him at all international semi-final our national championship game. And they've been here. I mean how many years in a row? It's just it's unbelievable. How amazing this program is. It's just teams you're catching up skill position wise and. Talent wise and also they're passing them perception wise that that's the difference that you never had before. It's been teams with better skill right? It's just never there's never been. It's never felt like they they're programs were better place to be than Alabama. It's starting to get that way. Yeah. I mean, Alabama's always at least would save for the most part the best athletes on the field outside of the quarterback spot. That's changed last couple of years. If you're they've always had the best athletes, you know, tooth great running backs two-three three great receivers two or three great secondary players secondary men a couple of great linebackers. Now, the town of it's it's just it's a different day. And I believe that we will look back on last night. It's not like they lost thirty four to thirty. They got destroyed. They contrast neighboring barest smack it was ugly. It got smack touchdown. I know gross third-down execution not exist. In penalties desperation. They had six Clemson at one going for fake fuel gold. If you just break down the schematics of that play up to drew, drew. But it's hells you how desperate and how much you know, saving last night was on a treadmill to know where he knew that he had to do something wacky. And that was her read this decision that he'll lament. Yeah. They just got let me ask you this. Do you think the better team clearly one? Not at all. I don't think Trevor Lawrence in by the way, it is office of line was amazing because he didn't even it wouldn't even get. I mean, they got pressure on him. But he was never foster clean pocket. Terminals theme is is a man. He's nineteen years old plays like he could be on playing on Sunday. Yeah. Serious..

"Do you think there is a meaningful portion of eagles phantom that actually believes Nick foles is better than personal offense has looked better within the last two weeks than it has most of the tea? Then Carson Wentz is overall better quarterback. I think some have had a hard time knowledge that both those things can be true Barnwell podcast. Subscribe now on the ESPN app or apple podcasts. And I think this is a really important possession right here for Alabama. I think they've got to get a touchdown. Put a nice dry together. They'll get the ball to start the third quarter, but to Tunga by as twelve or fifteen he's been sharp, but he's throwing two interceptions. In both cases. He's been fooled. By the Clemson defense, though, they faded him into a couple of throws. And then they've made those turnovers count. So I think right now very important for two in this Alabama offense. The second time all year they've trailed by double figures they twice trailed by fourteen in the SEC title game against Georgia rally dungle by Loa got hurt late in that game. Jalen hurts. Longtime starter twenty six and two as the starter came off the bench and lead them to the victory on the great stories of the year in college football with the program. And help get them to this spot. These available off the bench tonight, if need be Alabama ready to go first and ten from their own twenty five yard line. Triangle vilo shotgun, which was leg. Takes the direct snap and hands. It off. No, fakes it inside. And throws a five yard pass to the right to Jerry Judy with AJ, Terrell making the tackle one thing. I noticed too is to a tug of is a left handed quarterback. But he has a rap on his right thumb. He didn't start the game with that. So somewhere along the lines. He might have jam that. Right. Thumb earlier in the ball game. Of the gun again with nagae Harris the running back on his left. Judy wide to the short side right comes in motion hand off to Harris. Lots of running right outside of the left. I down across the forty two forty one whereas tackle by trae Lamar in Isaiah Simmons. Nice play by Alabama all kinds of running room is Iran around the left. Then again, you got to give credit to this offense of line. This is a defense and Clemson average only giving up two point four yards per carry coming into the game. And ten Alabama on the four minutes to go and a half lengths and leading twenty eight sixteen tight formation a hand off running right? Not be Harris for a loss. Siblings. They redshirt sophomore from olathe Kansas former safety now a linebacker and one of the best athletes in the country. Ran a four three one forty this year at two hundred and thirty pounds, very rangy player. He can cover in the past game. He can get from sideline to sideline long arms. With her blocking those guys inside getting the ball, burn sex, Alabama. Princeton tied their own forty five yard line two and a half on the clock. Running left in the half. The Clemson forty nine yard line out of the gun. Tunga by Lola raised his leg. Here's a snap. Five men. Get to the point. Fumble that Alabama has recovered back at the thirty four yard line. Mullen a blitzing corner forceful fumble. But Ross Pierce Baker the center able to fall on it back of the thirty four. They brought the receiver in motion and that enabled the corner blitz to get there quicker and Tunga by law was fooled for the third time tonight nineties fooled by the Clemson defense and very lucky that Alabama retained possession of the football on that one. Even though is a lefty in the blitz was from his left. He was looking right and never saw Trayvon Mullen. Ball popped out. Was recovered by here speaker. There's a time out on the field with two ten. Sean Todd that wrap you're referencing on to what's hunger below as on his non throwing in that right hand he had two series ago ripped off actually during the drive and then the trainer Jeff Allen. But crimson tide made him take it again and re rapid so it it's non throwing hand, obviously. But it's one that was on earlier. He didn't like it a Jeff Allam meat and keep it on. And by the way, that's the first that's the biggest hit. He's taken on that left ankle that injured left ankle since he got hurt in the SEC championship game. Gosh. Took a good hit. Molin hit him about five. Hi. To look, okay. As he came off. That was the Clemson time out. Fourth-down seventeen. So they're anticipating the Alabama punt with two ten left to go on the half. Clemson wants the ball back. Dad this lead. Let's check in with Holly on the Clemson sidelines. What a difference a year makes last year against Alabama. Travis was a no show twenty two yards in that game in the semi finals. But he has had a fantastic game tonight a rushing touchdown to rushing touchdowns. And that would have shoveled paths. He said he has been working on his hands because the wide receivers and running backs tease him. He had just eleven receptions coming into this game tonight. And they said that he was the weak link and catching the ball out of the backfield. So he took it very personal. He said he spent extra time after practice working on the jugs machine. He's been very he's been working very hard to get those hands. Better insured paid off on that little shovel pass. He caught that very short handed to get at twenty eight sixteen lane. I wouldn't have many catches when they have the wide receivers. They have to our big playmakers. They have so many places to go on offense. The Davos Lindy keeps a touch charges. Son, play fifteen years old on the sideline keeps it form. Dabble wants to make sure the ball gets distributed to all of them. Alabama's going to putt crimson tide out gating the Clemson Tigers for the half to sixty two one eighty three. But it's Clemson with the lead and looking for wars. They will receive a punt the game has been a little iffy this year as well for Alabama stylish along was the start of the year, but replaced by the man out there. Now, Mike Bernier. Replaced at midseason senior for Madison Alabama averaging just thirty seven yards per punt. Standing at his own twenty one yard line the wants to typical category that his in big favor for Clemson as the turnovers they've got two turnovers almost had a third one there and they've capitalized with touchstone coaches. So it could be a matter of big plays. And they've been right. Also missed extra point by Alabama, though, rush Ron burn year and a good putt then appeared catch near the far numbers by Amari Rogers that about twenty one yard line. Lose the most points. Alabama and Clemson meeting for the fourth year in a row in the college football playoff. This is year five of the play on the third time of the national championship. Last year was the semi final a win for Alabama a low scoring game twenty four to six Kelly Bryant through for just one hundred twenty four yards the game Clemson got behind. They really couldn't get back in the game of the year. They went to Trevor Lawrence. They wanted more balance, and they have it. Yeah. They're back on the field. Now ready to go. The design world to the writing. At Harrison got buried behind the line of scrimmage Austin, Bryant, the senior from Pavo Georgia, but defensive end, not fold bad. It's a loss back to the seven yard lock trae Lamar came on a blitz. He forced to quit the quick pitch by thunder by law and Austin Bryant was there to finish it up. Three years. Is that a very shaky start Mr. extra point barely made the other? It's going to be a twenty five yard field goal attempt from basically dead Sutter a little closer to the Mark. Holder the kick by bullet us is good. Asya relief from Joseph boulevard, the redshirt freshman from Mandeville Louisiana, Alabama finally has the lease. They dominated the first quarter the tide. Ran twenty-five plays taught to ten for. Clemson. They are two hundred twenty four yards of offense to eighty eight for the Tigers. And they held the ball for nearly twelve minutes clubs that had only three minutes and eight seconds time of possession with a defensive touchdown big play of the game. I touch out of the game. Yeah. That was the first touchdown of the game in and again, I think the lack of production on first down for Clemson right now offense, they put themselves in a little bit of a whole. And that's why they struggle. They're on offense in the first quarter. They did get the big throw on third down by Trevor Lawrence that set up their second score. But I down plays three incomplete. Passes on first down has really put them behind the changes since the interception thrown by two Tongo, lower Loa was returned by AJ Tyrrell, forty four. Yards for a touchdown to nine out of ten for one thirty seven and two touchdowns in the one was a throw away the against a heavy rush. So bullets now for the teed up on the thirty five yard line to our right off from right to left. Runs to it. Line drive. Kick off a knuckleball coming near the near sideline goes out of bounds. That other mistake by the kicker, Clemson has made a fair catch of everyone of his kicks would have started at the twenty five and now with the Kennedy outbound kicking team number ninety seven the ball will be placed at the thirty five yard line. I out especially when they're fair catching it. I mean, they're not even trying to return. So you should never kicked out about they've fair. Cot three kickoffs automatically. They've starting on the twenty five their content to do that you kick it out of bounds. You let them start on the thirty five now. Comes plunged on on offense. Lawrence settlers, just two out of seven. Four seventy yards starts out of the pistol and peace through the running back behind him. Complete pass along the near sideline intended for t- Higgins, go ahead Savion Smith and coverage and the flag thrown right where they work. They're indicating is going to be pass interference on save. Defense number four fifteen yard penalty automatic first down. Some hand fighting. But boy, we saw a lot more than that during the year that they let y'all so it's a fifteen yard penalty to the fifty. And that's just about where the hand action took place as well. First and ten Clemson tied fans. Boeing. Yeah. They might have the point four receivers. Three out of the left is Renfro goes in multiple after the set says the middle receiver over there Lawrence throws it to the nearside. Right. And it's a big. Alabama territory and all the way down to twenty four yard line. They faked a quick pass to the left with the three receivers over there. Then throw a little flat pass to the right and a nice run by the feast or twenty six yards. I doubt what's that Alabama twenty four trying to recap so late I hand off fake and warrants gets blasted as the random the right? Got a one yard gain. Got double wack five. Mak Wilson Dylan balls is a pair linebacker. Lives of going quickly again. Also, a hit up high inadvertently by Matt Wilson held at the helmet on Lawrence. Followed a twenty three yard line. Second nine thirteen and a half to go to half-time Alabama has just taken a sixteen to fourteen leaks out of the garden wars puts his hand down calling for the snap hands it off straight ahead and the whole upper middle to pay the Easter he's inside it's one hundred nineteen. And a big third down upcoming here your junior out of Spartanburg averaging nearly six yards. Gary break one Davis the tackle for Alabama part of their three-man defensive front. Doubt about five. This is hunter Renfro territory. Alabama's been pretty locked in on him. Dave, you're McKinney appears to be in coverage on him on this. They're downplay three receivers wide left, but tight single receiver type through the left out of the gun again Lawrence. The ready bag is e t n straight back to pass Moore's Shelby trading Pasqua past to the left. I down. The far sideline and banged out of bounds near the six yard line by Xavier McKinney. The sophomore safety man, the defensive MVP or the Orange Bowl. Really nice call. They had the three receivers to the left, but they brought t he can from the opposite side on the crossing route wide open when those three receivers left that area. Best sustained drive in the night for Clemson. We're at the six but the five yard line now, far hash Mark, the left, Alabama crowds. Three receivers. A slot left high snap Lawrence hands it off straight ahead. The goal line back will sooner they're just sort of the goal line. And Todd another example that added sprays. "Inside Levi stadium where the crowd will start filing in momentarily for tonight's national championship game. It's one versus two. And I bet you knew that already. It's a national championship. And we are here getting you ready and who better than Todd mcshay touch. Thanks so much. I want to talk about any week we discussed earlier on college football live. We were talking about Quinton Williams who many people believe is going to be the most important person to watch tonight. You're in evaluator of talent, you're among the leading NFL the college players scouts in the world. How much did you know about him in the off season? Very little little. I was studying Ray on Davis is Ahah bugs Christian Miller, those guys. And usually if you're studying tape at a guy will pop out stop down the tape and go look them up ninety two just didn't he didn't flash enough. He's a redshirt sophomore last year was his first year. And then this year he comes out, and he's thinking completely different person in terms of his just the intensity tonight. And then also his hand usage has got really good at he fires off the ball quickly and gets into your pads. But then what's he gets there? He's so slippery because he's quick with his hands and his violent with his hands. So he's got a player that again, I really didn't know much about two. It won't surprise me. At all. If he's the first overall pick in the upcoming draft. We've seen players come out of nowhere and win the Heisman. But what are the odds of coming out of nowhere? And being the first player taken. Not very high. You know? It's rare. We know about the Nick Voces of the world we've known about Christian Wilkins, Dexter, Lawrence and Cleland rural. And and all the big name defensive linemen that are come off the border early in the draft. And even at the quarterback position. We knew about Wayne Haskins. We didn't know what was going to be this good. But we knew about him. And we knew there was potential there. But it's rare. I mean, it usually is a player that just didn't play a whole lot got one year to come up way and had a monster year. But but you don't see it very often. Not to be a top five pick. In terms of what impact he can have tonight. I would think it's pretty pretty pretty monumental. I too. I think it's one of the matchups where Alabama has a significant advantage because clemson's offensive line plays. Well, as as a whole together, they're well coached or bunch of juniors and seniors, so they have experienced together. But individually, there's not an offensive lineman in this group that I look at and say he belongs in the first three rounds. You know? So I think the -bility to move him around. They're going to have to come since going to have to try to figure out double team. Even that hasn't worked Yokohoma tried that with one of the best offensive lines in college football that didn't always work. So I will be interested in one thing is I watched him last week studied the tape the first half. He was he was great. He was dominant. Like he was against Georgia LSU and other big gains. He injured reinjured his hand actually during that game. And I didn't think he was the same player in the second half as he wasn't the first half. So it's something to keep an eye on. But if he's coast one hundred percent, I think he's gonna be real real matchup problem Todd mcshay with this as the crowd getting ready for tonight's game pretty dominant dating Alabama crowd behind Todd on the other side. Give us a player to you mentioned quite a few already, but the stars defensive line. Yeah. Cleveland furrow. To me is depre- mayor player playing for Clemson in this game. I think he's got a chance to be top ten top twelve pick. He's one of the best edge rusher in this year's class. Kristen Wilkins is another one. And then nice thing you're obviously missing Dexter Lawrence. Of course. But when you have Austin Bryant who's probably going to be a third fourth round pick defensive end. And then Albert Huggins is a day three draft pick. How many teams can trot out their fifth defensive lineman in say that he's going to be a you know, a draft pick in the upcoming class. So they're gonna miss Lawrence..

"Just like Alabama three potential first round picks to play in this game. One won't extra Lawrence, obviously, not playing this game. But Lawrence has a chance to great defensive tackle to be a mid first round draft choice. Flow infertile defensive end leads the ways long athletic closes, well off a real nice gain in the Notre Dame's semifinal match up blowing furrow has a chance to be a top five top ten pick one round one and a Christian Wilkins veteran defensive lineman defensive tackle been there since day. One is a true freshman steady reliable consistent. Bring some versatility sack numbers for up later in the year person Wilkins could be mid to late first round pick second rounders. Ray-ban Mullen cornerback teams avoided his side of the field. Good player overall during his career Austin Bryant defensive end little inconsistent. But when he's on his game good outside rusher. Lamar big physical throwback type inside linebacker depends. Upon alley tests. Can he have the range? Can it be on the field? Every Dan Kennedy cover that will be proven when he works out when he passed the trae Lamar has a chance debate. If it goes, well, testing wise, a second round pick this well cast the back to you. Mel thanks a lot. And let's bring back in Trevor manage as we go through his keys for Clemson this time around what's your number? One key for the Clemson Tigers start fast last week, Alabama rocked Oklahoma in the first quarter. They blistered the Sooners and the suitors were on their heels to the degree that I thought it was going to be sixty two nothing right now. They eventually Oklahoma got their legs back under the and from that point two minutes in the second quarter down Twenty-eight nothing. The suitors outscored Alabama thirty four to seventeen but it was too late to dig out of that hole. Well, bama's gonna wanna smash in the mouth and try to jump out to that kind of lead.

"I would be surprised if he wasn't in the game at some point or another. But I'm not sure he's going to be in traditional quarterback seen Jaylen versus Clemson before. Yeah. Yeah. It wasn't great. He totally honest. So I would typically a heavy dose of throwing game. And that be being done by you, go after right at right away. Yeah. Right out of the gate aggressive in the match that I really looking forward to watching Paul is herb Smith the tight end who by the way, remember a couple years ago. Jay Howard, OJ Howard against Clemson was unbelievably consistent. Yeah. Really good and earth. Smith has that type of capability not only catching the football with it in his hands after the catch, and I expect that to be a match up. They try to export. There's always been that type of rhythm or fan guy for Nick Sabin in everyone of these championships. It was both Gabor until you got hurt against Clinton and the national championship. You mentioned OJ. Our I am one hundred percent with your Irv Smith, I think he's a key call to this game. But Jalen Waddell to me is the guy that you have to be conscious of hundred throw a couple of years. Ago tore Alabama from the slot position. Jailer lotto, big is more talented has more wiggle and more juice than unreformed not taking away anything from hunter. I think Jalen wild will have a huge impact on his game. Not only on offense. But his special teams because we've seen championship games. You all phases. Markets. Let's go to the Clemson defensive line, which get so much attention and in ability if you have to hash out every little things, especially who's not there decare large. You you you understand that position? Is you this? Absolutely. It's first of all you take away a guy that's three fifty who stout enough to play double teams in the run game. Right. And Bama has always reverted at some point against Clemson to running the football either. The offense is stagnant. And they just to hand it off or they want to try to stab this dominates. That's the law is not being in the game. Not only takes away stout guy in the reggae. They moved a lot against Notre Dame with Huggins in his backup just to keep him out of those adverse situations as dilemma, I call double teams very adverse. It's always a unique special guys the deal with them. But also the push in the middle of the pocket, which gave to problems against Georgia. And that's really what you wanna fake really good quarterbacks in the middle of the pocket defense. Vans can be eliminated with the RPO. They can be eliminated. If you can step up his guys pushing in the pocket so losing him. You lose both of those elements. Now, what that was done has created that on this defensive line. We know the Lord's because decks Lawrence is the guy right now. Nobody knew Quinton Williams last year. Yeah. And boy is starting to build his program in say like when I look at defensive line, and I don't know the intricacies the way he does. I don't know the fundamentals quite like like you played it. But I look at guys which guys up front can wreck the game for me offense like which is a game record. And I see on Clemson team. They have one and it's not Christian Wilkins. Chris Wilkinson good player. Austin Bryant is a good player, but the game wrecker and the guy that you need to be very cognizant of Phelan Farrow, and he's going to be lined up against against the left tackle, Joe Williams that is elite. So that is a leat against elite. And that's a fascinating match at the watch. When it comes to the pass rush and also to Greg. That's great point. You make. They also moved Cleland sometimes on third down to three technique to take advantage of guards as Wales. So they'll do they'll mix it up. They do a tremendous job in Ables does a tremendous job bringing four man Russia, Meghan. They look like it's a blitz. Like he's bringing six so it'd be the chess match going on as well. Let's talk about coins because he's so good. He mails on looked at me after I haven't seen a guy like that an Alabama. He's he's I mean, just like I know he didn't hop at the air. But it seems like he did all he has a thing..

"Big national championship game tonight in Santa Clara, California as it is Alabama. And it is Clemson and should be a good one. I think two programs have clearly separated themselves. So the rest of college football is the a to elite level programs and what they've been able to do. What's remarkable the job, Dabo Sweeney? He's done a Clemson and Alabama goes back and Nick Sabin and what he's accomplished at Alabama. Tasr is is absolutely historic. But yeah, you got the freshman signal-caller going up against, you know, a guy that was the finished runner up in the Heisman Trophy debate for that award finished was the runner up in that to to collar Murray from Oklahoma. He got great defensive players on both sides playmakers on both sides of the football and a game that that could clearly go either way, and I think tonight, we'll get what we didn't get in the national semifinals, which is I I would be surprised if we didn't get a great football game. Dogfight man. And I think you laid it out perfectly. You know? We've we've talked a lot about that defensive line for Clemson. And and and you know, you know, Dexter Lawrence will not be able to play in this game. The big massive super talented ultra-quick monster he cannot play for the Tigers. But Wilkins will Ferrell well and Austin Bryant, well and desks Lawrence. The second line guide up the second string guy Huggins. He's tremendous and other guy's going to go to the NFL, and he's not even a normal starter. So so that their defensive line will bring the would they will bring the wood and. Hopefully, the office of life for for crimson tide can can keep to a clean. That's the key. Can they do that as far as the freshman, man? You know that the quarterback for for Clemson. He is you know, he's a tremendous player. He really is. He is just a tremendous player and anybody you talk to tell you, you know, he doesn't come off. You don't look like a freshman. He don't play like a freshman. You know, he's just he's a spectacular spectacular quarterback. So we'll see if that ultra talented defensive backfield for Alabama can shut that kid down and not have him. Have a great productive productive day tonight. I should say so it's it's going to be a great game. No, moose. I definitely think that you said it could go either way these teams are very evenly matched. They really are. Yeah. They are. And I get to you know, ultimately, you know, what is going to be the determining factor. You know, turnovers touchdowns finishing drives off dealing with pressure. I when I look at this game, I first and foremost talk about or think about the, you know, the experience factor, and and clearly when you look at the quarterback position and the way to a played last year in the national semi championship game in the comeback victory against Georgia in coming in a game in the second half. You'd have to give him the edge for Lawrence dealing with the pressure in dealing with this kind of moment is it's something that a lot of these kids have Clemson certainly last year didn't go through it. They lost in the national semifinal twenty four six to Alabama with Kelly. Bryant a quarterback, I really wasn't much of a game. So you look at this this Alabama team. And I know some of the names of changed Taza gas graduate moved onto the National Football League. But if you look at the key component, and the the the the quarterback position, I think based on experience in both a really talented. I think you'd have to give the edged Alabama because of what did last year, and you would think that Sabin and his defensive Bod will come up with some looks that maybe Lawrence is not seen as of yet. Yeah. I I get your point in that..

"And Larry on six eight sports leader. Larry told me just be yourself everything she worked out. Is gonna work out. Just fine. He's gonna work out. Down here at the San Jose convention center and ready for the for the hell we getting ready for we're getting ready for Monday night and tomorrow, you'll be here you'll be here tomorrow as well. So. Love to join you. But I think you're well taken care of with a great tide who sack what time you want him on nine nine to noon. Okay. Very very good. Now you laugh at this. And I I'm not going to be too serious because somebody scratching themselves while I pour out my heart. But when you grow up in an area, and it was all orchard. And now you see what it's become. It's gotta fun. Just to say, man. This is really look at it to make a board. Larry with no respect at all. This is home baby. This is home does get misty is getting misty eyed. But when you again, this was all orchard field. My dad would drive we drive driving the truck out Tila Krisha avenue, right, right? Where this place was or where this place is to unload, the pairs in the apricot s-, and it's just it's just fun to see we only had one thing. Larry the big if you played at the San Jose civic. That was our our one big arena. You know, and that seeded like twenty five hundred I went and saw San Jose State play there a couple times when they had Ricky berry did. Yeah. And he was awesome. Now. He's. And his dad, you know, went on and various assistant coach. Yeah. Yeah. He was a yeller in screamer though. He was. You know, a very one of those my way highway screaming type guys in again without going into it. But Ricky's life ended much too early. Yeah. Very sad. And he was number one pick the kings to have. I remember talent to six eight. Remember guy? Do you? Remember, though that when the court boom, you go right into the state. If you missed a layup it was tight. Yes tight. But that was like the big thing. Have you played an all star game or a. CCS gamers. Wow, you're playing at the civic and twenty five hundred. And it was it was quite a quite a big deal. But anyway, I'm going to ask. Monday nights can be great by the low matchup. I know people are all well, you know, the secondary market. The secondary market is a product of how much passion there is for college sports in this region. But that has nothing to do with the match up. The matchup is a tremendous matchup. Now, people could say, well, we're tired of this matchup. These are the two best teams in college football. And there's no doubt about that. So I, you know, it's all kind of very predictable. I like bam on Monday night because I just think they're they have been head and shoulders better than everybody else. I heard Bradley Pinon with Murph and MAC driving in and he made a compelling argument for for the Clemson Tigers. And Clemson defensive line is the best in college football by far. They're not going to have big Dextra Lawrence, but well and feral Christian Wilkins Austin Bryant all three of those guys are going to play in the NFL, Christian Wilkins's three ten and fast. I in worse number forty two for for for Clemson man, and he's just an unbelievable runner at three hundred and ten pounds. So they're they're d- line is loaded this freshman quarterback. They have Trevor Lawrence is the ACC rookie of the year. It was interesting listening to Pinon talk about Davos. And how the how he's a man. He's a he's a Christian. How how you know this this and he's winning Christian his wedding. But it's funny. This quarterback is also a Christian this Trevor Lawrence. I dunno. I can I wanna make sure I got it. Right. That's a kit with the hair down over his shoulders. Right. I flip it around. I saw an interview have man. That's the guy who turns manning. Yeah. I he's been liable this year. He was a five star recruit by rivals. We're talking about a six six two hundred and fifteen pound freshman quarterback who rolled in and had twenty seven touchdowns and four picks saw me. He absolutely had a monster year. Let's bring in a man who just received a free jacket, the national champions, Jack. I expect Al to come in to represent the forty Niners not to take a trade out jacket. But good morning El presidente president. Good to be here. Guys. I'm on brand. Now. Let's now you guys go out and get this game. I mean, that's something you and say, hey, we've got this beautiful stadium. Let's bring the championship game here. No question. I think I said this yesterday a little bit which we built Livia Levi stadium. You don't go spend one point four billion dollars to only hundred twelve games. Yeah. Everybody in this market when we were building this the number one question we got outside of forty Niners is are we going to get a Super Bowl? Are we going to get a national championship game or we're going to get Olympics or we're gonna get the World Cup? So we've been aggressively in two thousand fifteen we won the bid, and then we've done a lot leading up to it to get here. But we're excited for the weekend. Not to be too personal. But you got to put up a lot of money to get this thing. It's on. Yeah. There's no money that's going into. We're going to spend somewhere between twenty five and twenty eight million dollars on the operation. Frankly, we're the forty Niners underwriting, it, you know, the game from a profit and loss perspective won't be profitable. Now, I say that because that's for us. But as far as the region is concerned, the economic impact is estimated to be over hundreds of millions of dollars in Arizona. It was two hundred and thirty million dollars are hotels are filled up. There's about one hundred thousand people that we anticipate coming into the bay area for this weekend's games. Are restaurants will be good where employees were employing eight thousand people just this week on setup and five thousand people on game day. So look for all the noise that's out there. What I would sell people is we got the two best teams in the land playing in our market on Monday night in front of maybe thirty million people that is a good thing. Now you've bid between twenty and twenty five million. Who cares? Some noise on talk radio. Oh, I just saw column. Oh my God. We're dead. Now knows how many people as far as inside the nine organization are involved in the not just this poll the red box bowl and all the other things that come to leave. Yeah. We've expanded so much when we were a candlestick. We're about an eighty person organization now we're a little over four hundred not counting the players. So there's hundreds of people that are working on this. It's a massive undertaking. You guys are here meteoroid, obviously. But you know, if you walk around downtown, San Jose all the setup that went in the last couple of days, there's a lot that goes on. And obviously we needed the mayor Sam Accardo to be a big help for us. And he was but there's about one hundred people working on the non what I call the non NFL vent business at stadium. We're talking with the president of the forty Niners Al Guido as a kid who grew up in San Jose. I'm always always curious about this do people want to stay in San Francisco, or does the money you're talking about translate to to my? My hometown here. It's all in San Jose. And it is really it is. I mean, you know, certainly, I'm sure some fans will go to the city. There's no question. But when we bid on this. It was important to have walkability for the fans that are coming in town. This was you guys know it's really like a seven to ten day event. This is more like three to four days for the people that are coming in. And so we wanted it to be a little bit closer to Levi stadium. We wanted to be walkable for everybody. That's here. So you could go to the AT and T concerts. You can go to the convention center. You can go down to the plaza all literally within a five or ten minute walk. And then we know how closely is for to here. So for us, the CFP people Bill handcock and company wanted it to be walkable and they wanted to be close to the venue, given the amount of fans that are coming from both of the local markets because this is very different than the Super Bowl. Literally forty thousand of the sixty thousand seats go to the two schools, very different. I know firsthand when we participated in the Super Bowl, we only had about five thousand tickets that we could give the forty Niners fans the rest of it is in the corporate marketplace, very different for the so both sides sold out. 'cause I'm always curious if I'm working for a living, and I got a fly. Out from Clemson, South Carolina. You know what? I mean. I gotta get off work. I got to pay for the air flight. I don't wanna come alone. But people have this this great pass on. Something tells me that there's no offices open in Tuscaloosa. I mean everybody and their mother is going to be watching this game. So I might be filled then Monday night. I have no concerns. I mean, there's been a lot of talk about the secondary market. And here's what I would say on that guys. You know, this we compare everything to something else right year year-over-year year television ratings you guys probably compare your ratings to somebody else. And so only letter Goodell. That's right last year. There was a once in a lifetime chance, right? Atlanta was the host of the game. And they had the university of Georgia plane that doesn't happen too often. And so everybody's saying, hey, here's the secondary price for that game. If you go back to the first Alabama Clemson game in Glendale, Arizona, the quote unquote, get in price of the cheapest price ticket was two hundred dollars. Ours is one hundred thirty and when it's all said and done our average ticket price in this building will be the highest of any national championship has been played in the first four years. So look look at that. As all just good noise. The building will be packed. It will be electric, and I think it's going to be a really good game. As long as the game is good, right? 'cause they always talk. About even TV ratings. If if you had a close game in the second half, you're going to have a big number. There is no doubt. There's a reason why these guys have played each other. And what three the last four, and I I was joking with Lynch. He's got a real easy on the scouting side. There's five or seven guys are projected to be first round picks that are going to be on that field on Monday nights that we between him and Martin and Adam Peters. They don't fly too far scout these guys forget Lynch. Now, you're picking you're the guy. Here. The president house, by the way. Right. Yeah. Lynch hall of fame again. Final fifteen. That's right. Yeah. So we'll see we'll get in get any disease. He's very very deserving doubt about that. There was a report the last day or so but Ryan Grigson. And is that is that just like crazy Jason lockenfora wild stab wars. There's something of substance to Grigson to the forty Niners. I'd say I think the way I'd answer that as we feel really good about our front office. And the folks there there's a lot there's going to be a lot of rumors as you know, Larry is they're gonna everybody's floating stuff out there. We feel good about the guy. In other words, what you're saying? Until you hear it on Murph and MAC, don't believe anything. I I would trust Greg Cosell. Wasn't he? Hey. What is going to be success this week for you or or is like success already before the week happens? I mean, you guys don't want this to be a one time thing you want to make this a trend. You got a brand new facility. You wanna you wanna have it sparkle and have the nation. See it and profit. I'm sure at some point what is success this week. And what is what what's going to equal? This gets it done again teams. Like this come back to leave us. I'd say three things one is the local community. Our politicians are business owners are hotel owners. They feel good that it was worth the time effort and energy that they put into host in this thing. The second part is all the visitors that come here have a tremendous experience and walk away feeling like it was a really good operation a good setup and third and probably the most important is the two schools and teams participating it feel like we gave them everything that they needed to have to be able to put on the best game that they possibly can on Monday night. Because. Look after all the pomp and circumstances. And I love all that stuff. These two teams are playing for the national title game these kids, it means something to that a lot of these guys aren't gonna play in the NFL. And so this might be their final chance at this thing. So Monday night needs to go. Well, but I think it's those three things we focus on the student athlete right out Alabama. Alabama's got to his parents moved there from Hawaii. The kid running back is bombs now in Birmingham, but the student athletes in you're looking out for thank you. Absolutely. Hey, I'm we're playing a little bit here. But I'm curious again, we learned I talk for a living. That's what we do talk. And we went through this season every week. Oh, this and that to me once Garoppolo got hurt. I mean now you can say it early if you want to. But that was it was it not. I mean, we were in those games coming right out of that. But certainly. Tire pressure light on the car went. He went on. And and so no, it's tough to lose jet. Literally the week before we're about to play our first game. That's McKinnon garrison. I go for the guy may twenty seven million plan. It's hard cannot be expected to win more than you. Did. That's all that's mostly quarterback driven league. We all know that. And we feel good about the guy..
