"Is well. There was a moment that i witnessed on thursday. That wasn't quite so quiet but it did speak perfectly to what you can experience. When there are no patrons tony female was on the fifteenth in the bunker to the right of the green and then this happened holes out punk affir- eagle and one of his family members delighted. That family member was elena. Female tony's wife. She was seated at the bottom of the hill watching her husband chip out of that bunker to the right of the fifteenth green. And when he hold it she led out that joyful yale which by the way we heard at the top of the hill and so did everybody else. And as we stated with paul. Casey in the podcast. We all wish that patrons were here. We miss you guys. But there is a silver lining for the spouses of the competitors. They get to be in closer proximity to their husbands as they compete in the eighty four th masters and competitive play for this eighty four. Th masters began the same way it has for the last fifty seven years with an honorary start from masters legends thursday morning at augusta national golf for.

"Masters is underway. Sort off. Tiger Woods, Defending champ at Augusta National Golf Club, trying to win his sixth green jacket this year, was getting set to begin his first round at the Masters when he and other golfers were told to leave the course because of rain and lightning and Augusta, Georgia. So the Masters that got delayed from the first full week of April 2 now because of the pandemic We'll have us wait a little bit longer because of a weather delay. Nine golfers were able to complete their first hole before play got suspended. Five scored even par, three shot bogeys and one double bogey. But for now, the Masters is on hold and a rain delay.

"November. But Augusta, Georgia is where we're at again. The master's Brady candid first off besides all that it is great to have you back here. Steiner's We love you, buddy. Every major. It's a tradition, like unlike any other right, BK coming down to Steiner's for the majors. I appreciate you having me down. With every major that rolls around. Unfortunately, it's only been three this year, but we are finally at the Masters and you know all week long. It's Masters Week. I've been doing all kinds of work on this darn thing and We're almost finally there. But, you know, I've said can and maybe you feel the same way. When we have a normal golf season, we get the West Coast swing, and it wraps up with Riviera and then you go over to Florida and you have the players Championship, and it kind of just all builds to Augusta in April. It really feels like you know, we're ushering in spring, and it's this renewal and everything is beginning again. And there's life in the sports world right after March Madness, traditionally On. I'm always just so geeked up about the masters, and I think you and I are kind of similar. If you ask me in the springtime what My favorite made your is I'm going to say the Masters. If you ask me in the summertime, I'm gonna say the British Open, But I don't quite feel the same giddiness that I usually do. But I know I'm gonna be locked in for four days straight. I absolutely love the Masters. It's different this year. Everything's different this year, but You know that makes for an interesting handicap. And you talk about all the grass is the po and and the bentgrass. Well, There's really a story there, too. This year, and normally a lot of people don't know. But the Masters Augusta National Golf Club is not open in the summer time they shut down in May not long after the traditional master slot in April, they shut down in May. In September. They oversee the golf course with a winter rye grass on top of the Bermuda grass base, and usually that rye grass from September all the way until April for the Masters. The course opens up to the members in October. But then, all the way until April that ryegrass is given time to mature and take hold. That's why in April we see those fairways, just looking like magical carpet right this time. Obviously in November, it's had less time to mature and you've got buckets of rain coming in. So those fairways, they're going to be thinner. They're going to be soft, possibly muddy. It's going to be different conditions out there than a lot of these guys are used to, and You know, the whole conversation All week has been about Bryce into Shambo. His length off the tee and length off. The tee has always been a massive advantage at Augusta National Golf Club, but also so our second shots and iron play and scrambling and putting around the greens and I think that second half of the equation there from 150 yards in 200 yards in whatever I think the iron play and the scrambling is going to be more important this year, maybe than it ever has because you're going to get those sloppy lies in the fairways. You're gonna have to be a great iron player. You're not gonna have that perfect. Pristine lie on that carpet like fairway like you would get in April. You're also gonna have some weird lies around the greens in the when you're trying to scramble and get up and down for par, so People talking about the shambo in that length off the tee. Yes, it'll be an advantage. And the other thing is, people are talking like to shambles. The only guy in the field that hits it long. I think DJ and Rory and Rahm and the rest of it, you know, 20 other guys did it pretty long to anyway, I think there's gonna be war. What? On the work around the greens, And the short game, I think is gonna be paramount. Maybe more. So, you know when they play this in April 2 things the 48 Inch driver they're talking about. Explain that to me is Is that something that's normal drivers typically about 45 or 46 inches. He's extending some length to try and get more clubhead speed and hit it even longer. And obviously, the longer the weapon it becomes more hard to control. But he's trying to get it, you know, honed in and we'll see if he puts it in his bag this week. I guess he's been using that and a traditional 45 46 inch er. In practice round so far now the practice rounds were canceled today because the rain started coming, and apparently it's going to be here all overnight and it'll be interesting to see how the first round goes tomorrow. I my bet would be that we're not going to complete it. Wow. Okay. So interesting. Okay. We'll get to that in just a second, so.

"Continuing coverage of the masters from Augusta National Golf club. More to come to. We're back in New York with the NBA exit interviews for the Lakers on Wednesday. They looked to pick up the pieces after the shocking departure of Magic Johnson Tuesday night. Lebron James not on hand yesterday. And neither Luke Walton or rob linka spoke. So ask for the players who did they were all caught off guard just like all of us. To be on the house a little bit shocked. Just like everybody else was it wasn't no predicted or nobody had you know that on their minds. But you know, we say it all the time with the players is no different from front office or anybody. You know, the one thing you can do in life is to do his best for you. And for magic. He's Magic Johnson. He doesn't need. No proved anybody anything, and you know, he just made the the best decision for him shock me. Like it did the rest of the world. But you know, what's best for him. You know? I wish him the best, you know, draft me. Yeah. This is better for life in. That's what he wants to do. You know support hundred percent. Okay. Let's welcome in NBA insider Adrian word you now. Ski would it's been about thirty six hours since magic abruptly walked off as the president of the Lakers. What are people saying about the atmosphere over there right now? Well, the word I heard yesterday around that facility was awkward you had rob Pelinka who's who's the general manager of the team in exit meetings with Luke Walton and Luke Walton knew very well that Magic Johnson rob Pelinka or planning to fire him yesterday. And that all changed Luke Walton went from not even being scheduled to be a part of the exit conversations with players to sitting in there with his general manager and still trying to figure out what's his future with the organization. There were reports that the Lakers were shocked by the move. Do. You have any sense as you mentioned, Luke Walton once they've regained their footing. If they put together any kind of plan to move forward. And what that looks like. They're still trying to formulate that Laura that Luke Walton has next year on his contract, and then a team option for two thousand twenty one and they've got a decided to as an organization how they're gonna go Ford who's going to really be making the basketball. The citizens is going to be rob Pelinka, the general manager are they going to go out of the marketplace and looked to hire a sitting general manager somewhere else in a league or somebody else who's not working who's available. Those are the questions facing Jeanie Buss here and Luke wall in future is going to be dependent a lot. I will kind of management decision..
