"What advice do you have for psychiatrist? Working with people with, autism? Learning how folks on the spectrum learn and think is important so I I highly recommend the teach book or the T. A. H. Book, which goes through a lot of how people on the spectrum tend to process and think and learn. Patient and kind and use visuals when you can give handouts when you can be clear and concise and check for understanding. How do you explain the autism diagnosis? Explained Autism as diagnosis that is not one that has a cure, but I also emphasized that it's a small part of who they are, and it does not define them, and so identifying their strengths in addition to describing the diagnosis is important I generally will visually incorporate that so maybe with a child. If they have an interest in dinosaurs I may draw a dinosaur on the board on a whiteboard and wipe. I will put autism as. Just the tail, and then we'll build in the things that they're really good at or strength of theirs and explained that that's just one small part of who they are. This does not define them and then explain the court challenges in social behavior, communication and restricted interests and repetitive behaviors. Many people still preferred to identify. Ask Burgers, though that's no longer part of the diagnosis is all autism spectrum disorder? Many people really adult find that that describes their experience with autism spectrum disorder more accurately. And in the DSM five era where ASPERGER's is taken out of the book. Would we just call that mild autism? We would say that that would be a level when impairment so now we have specifiers that would be a level one level two level free impairments. Thank you Patty and Had Heaves holds a master's degree in social work from the University of Michigan and Auber and completed postgraduate work at you. Michigan's autism spectrum disorders clinic, she prays Winston Salem North Carolina and spent most of her career working with autism. And now for the word of the day effect size. These days more and more papers, reporting the results as effect size, and that's a good thing because the effect size tells us how powerful a treatment is specifically, it tells us how big the differences between the Placebo and the treatment, and here's how to interpret it. A small effect size is between zero and zero point five. This is what we see with Omega. Three fatty acids and depression taught point three Busse sperone and generalized anxiety disorder around zero point twenty five, and frankly even most antidepressants fall in this range they fall around zero point three zero point five, which is technically small. A medium effect is zero point five two zero point eight here. We're talking about the acute effects of anti psychotics and schizophrenia or Benzodiazepines and anxiety. A large effect. This is the kind of effect that anyone could pick up on. It could be seen with the naked eye. It should be obvious to you this zero point eight, and above not many psychiatric treatments reached this level. We're talking about stimulants in Adhd and Ketamine, tms or act and depression. There's a lot more to know about effect size, which is also called Cohen's d or The standard mean difference confusing since all mean the same thing and will cover it more in a future episode. Join US next week where we'll revisit the age old question, which is the best.

"All right everybody Welcome I'm to this week's podcast Turf addict my name is Steven Talker. here this week with a very good friend of mine. College is Buddy shade tree mechanic by trade And I've called him that I believe since college Jody Farber Auber. Who is the equipment manager? Coyote Springs and was recently nominated for equipment manager the year so so Jody glad to have you Good to hear from you and how is Vegas. Are you guys cold yet No I'm doing well and no so it. is not cold I believe yesterday we were at seventy eight degrees beautiful Gulf weather nice. We're we're right around. I think we were eighties today. We're supposed to get pretty cold This week or not on Wednesday I believe Wednesday or Thursday is supposed to get pretty cold here. Sixties fit sixties. It was that the sixties. That's cold here. It is all have a couple of jets on for sure. Yep so our man For those that don't know Both we both went to college at Lake City What it's been twenty years ago right running years he aetna right so We're one of the few. I think that are left. I believe we had the largest class at lake city in terms of technicians And probably have the worst turnout ratio of any class because of that Yes I in that I know of. I had of our class. I only know of probably three or four of us four for sure that are still in the industry and three. They're still equipment. Clip the managers. And what do you remember what our class number was win. The toys are thirty. Something like that was pretty weird. We were twenty twenty eight total. I believe right because we had one dropout might've been thirty and then we went to twenty nine it's you know it was astounding at the number of people that we had. I don't think we knew that at the time that that was a large number. I think we just thought. Wow you know this is great and now we find Out that hey you guys have the largest class. It went from like twenty eight to like ten the next year. Yeah so anyway. What made you enroll at lake? City city You know obviously you didn't grow up thinking I wanna be a turf equipment manager right out of high school. What what got you there? Well in high school. I didn't play on the golf team. I played golf here and there with friends I was more baseball. Well in in school and I I like the game of golf and after high school. I didn't really know what I wanted to do. I was like a lot of people and I did not want to just go to college and spend money that I didn't have anyway just to go to school and see what I wanted to do so i. I took a few years off and did a few different things here and there Worked in retail at The All sports authority which which is probably barely around if it is anymore And then I did some landscaping with a with a guy that I went to church with and he actually worked on a golf course years ago and had enjoyed it but he ran his own landscape company and love that so when a friend of minded graduated high school the year after me told me about Lake City he he had gone there the year before we did and graduated and he was working in Naples. Bulls that Benita Bay He told me about the program. I just thought it sounded extremely interesting I like doing the landscaping thing like being outside side. Never thought I'd get into turning wrenches or anything like that growing up but It seemed like a pretty good set in it. DOC turned out pretty well. Great I mean it's I think you know we kind of very similar in pass You know I had the same same thing where I played on. The golf team wasn't didn't actually didn't have good enough grades in high school to play Anywhere probably I was right on the borderline of being being good enough to do so And then I just kind of had a buddy of mine. That was going to school to be a superintendent at Lake City and I knew I loved Goffin and so I just kind of went down that path and like well. I'll try the first year I pick up things pretty quickly and And and and so I did and ultimately you know looking back it was you know it. Just kind of those things that lines up and just kind of meant to be You kind now listen to you. Listen to your even like with jobs and things like that you kind of follow the signs on. What's the right direction ago? And and being that young I think God worked pretty much every job. You could work in town the big city of Laval but And so what else could you do. I mean I love Golf. I WANNA WANNA do work on a golf course and hopefully you know the way. I ended up going so yeah. They're similar in my hometown. I'm from Ho Gosh Live. Live oak is probably a little smaller. I think in my hometown Chidi Florida which not many people have heard of but yeah it was either. It was either work in the prison. The in the prison which I had no plans on or be a teacher and I didn't really want to do that so I mean I was kind of a funny thing me getting into that because I actually was removed from and banned from our public. Golf course For temporary period when I was in Early again high school for running over what I didn't realize was a gopher trap and I broke it and and Yeah so my mom didn't think that was is going to be a good fit me being on a golf course full time so she sent you in college and he just wanted me out of the house and then there was as the field sledding. So you gotTa tell the story of the field up. Listen Man. I grew up in field live oak. It's cow fields and and and this would be the first time I would get introduced into this. Okay so so. We both grew up in Florida. And there is no real sledding. Like snow sledding. Well when I was probably Middle School Ish Had some buddies that owned His grandparents owned pastures astor's and on cattle farm. So we would go camping out there. We'd spend all weekend not see anybody. We take a little bit of food out and one time I'm they pulled. The John Bowed out there. Behind the four wheeler to take all our supplies tents and stuff. We just figured why why carry at all all or do several trips put it all in John Vote will next day we Were bored wandering around and said you know what to people getting the John in Boca One person. Pull it behind the four wheeler around in pasture and see how that works out which didn't work out well for John Boat but probably safer than and what we ended up doing it was. I'm sure it was so yeah so Typical for lack of a better term typical college idiots. Coming up with something fun to do. I kind of took that and while we were at the was Steven Rogers at. Here's a the the pasture where he stayed Little trailer we found a started off with just a board but then that that translated into a truck hood that we got at a junkyard turned upside down and we pulled it behind the truck in the pasture and rode on on it. Not The probably not the smartest thing to do. But I don't think anybody get hurt. Nobody surely could have ended that way. Oh absolutely yeah it did I know it flipped one time actually superintendent last I knew he was in Vero Beach Christian milliken I know he was on when it flipped once and hopefully he hears this all. I'm sure and dust and Hubin Superintendent up in Chicago. He He I don't think he flipped off of it but he Should've the one time came. I know that yeah. That was a that was definitely one of the more interesting things we did. Yeah and we'll stick with just that one too. Yes yes all right. So you know Gr- graduate. We graduated in ninety nine It's been a while what we've been twenty years now our so Is being an equipment manager. What you thought it would be when you start out? Has It evolved into something thing that you didn't think it would be you know. What are your thoughts on the position now? Well it's I I really did not have any expectations. I thought it was absolutely amazing when we got out of when we were graduating the amount of jobs that were available at the time for for us kids come in straight out of school so I didn't really know what to expect. There were some jobs that were that. Were paying really really good money that I'm sure a lot of us weren't qualified to even apply for Orange and I I really didn't know what to expect. it's definitely changed a little bit as far as the technologies that have been out there since we were school. I mean we learned on some of the most simple machines Back in the late nineties. And now everything is electrically controlled old lot of computers involved instead of just levers and valves and and cylinder heads and things like that So there's definitely been some some changing changing that's had to happen on our end and luckily our industry is pretty darn good at giving us the education we need. Try to keep up well and I think one of the things that you know as I think back in to what this business was. I remember looking at the pamphlet and and it's saying something like the average pay was twenty five thousand dollars or somewhere around there for equipment or for a head technician or or mechanic or whatever at that point and I was like man. That's that's what I need to be able to go to school for a year and make twenty five thousand dollars and I remember you know just like you said with internships Making I think I made ten dollars an hour and had housing in Colorado and a little a kid kid from live oak that all of a sudden gets me. I got married. The same time we graduated college did and And then took off to Colorado. I'd never even been outside of Florida or Georgia. And I'm you know on a road trip to Colorado taking a mine in you know new wife and we're getting out of town and it was probably one of the best experiences I ever had and I remember. BJ One of our instructors Saying you know if you want to do anything and you WanNa get you know if you want to be good at what you do and you want to grow and you WanNa make good money. You're going to have to get out of this town to to do it. And he kept stressing that because so many kids WanNa stay closed Mama and you know so I was like listen. If he's telling me this he's a lot older than and I am and I haven't made the best choices thus far so maybe I'll listen to somebody and and so I did and and you know it. It was definitely the right the the right step for that time. Yeah absolutely and you still married to the same lovely lady. So that's a good thing that she's put up so don't either. Why thank you guys may have said that to begin? What in the world really this guy? But you know there's something to be said you know she. The good thing about her was if you remember. She was pretty much. BJ Secretary at school she would go to college and then she would hang out with us. on the next class answer the phones and so she kind of had an understanding when we were in college of what we were getting into Most wives don't get that the opportunity you know they can find out on the fly of how much time it takes and how much you're you don't know really what your schedule you know what time you're going to end and you start early Ryan and sometimes dark dark and sometimes that can be hard to understand but the good thing for her is she got to experience some of that so yeah Yep all right so We've both been in the industry for a while. Now what in I guess for from Your your side you've worked in a couple of different types of things you've been what in sales you've worked for the dealer. I think out of college yet and he worked in a few different places is most of your time. I think in Vegas and some time in the Carolinas What's your favorite part of all that having experienced the industry and a couple of different ways days? What what's your favorite part? And what's what's that part where. I don't know if I'd do that again. Yes Oh yeah. You're right at right out of school I did. I went to work can for a Toro dealership Down in Sarasota in Florida Lesko Turf Deka and the reason I did that I had coming out of school zero real experience with any equipment other than what we learned at school so I figured you know what why not go see brand new so I took my internship and and stayed for a little while afterwards With detoro dealer.

"Thanks for taking my call. I had a question in. I'm not sure how to pronounce this company's name. I think it's they make an electric pickup, and a SUV, they, I think they did Butte at the LA auto show and, and I'd read that they're supposed to release next year. And then but my question is, I, I think I read or perhaps, you said it on your show at one point that Ford bought into one is that accurate and two, if that's accurate will the Ford dealers be selling those vehicles. Yes. Ford did make a very sizable investment in riven. They did not do it for anything other than being seed money which they hoped to parlay into real money. Fall street goes nuts on the stock. I should remind you that Toyota and Mercedes Benz were ten percent. Investors. Esters in tesla. Thanks. Yeah. Thinking that tesla was going to show them how to make modern electric cars Toyota did a row four would tesla Mercedes as I recall did in a class both of them looked at. It went gotta be give me I can do better latte. But not I'm not kidding on that. By the way. Even Toyota had to tell tesla. The reason your cars are catching on fire is you have to put a plate underneath the battery pack because if the batteries get punctured they'll catch on fire and Toyota publicly said, we're hoping they would teach you something they don't know what we know. I digress. Both Mercedes and Toyota made a fortune. When Tesla's stock went from sixteen dollars whatever went to three hundred bucks. So if you're Ford and you've already built electric trucks, why would you take your good money and put it into an electric truck manufacturer with probably little any future? Because it's venture capitalist money. Then you make the big payday. If the stock goes through the roof Hough. Yeah. There you go. Okay. So it's not about product Ford. Bill. Ford was driving an electric Ford ranger twenty years ago. Okay. Four knows electrics. Okay. All right. Yeah. I didn't know if it was, you know, shortcuts for product development for, you know, in new electric one fifty but you explain that away again boards on the Brown on the cusp of building a bunch of electric cars over in China because that's a requirement. So the only thing I can figure out which by the way, the Ford dealers. Thank this is dumb as dirt, too. But we are living in an age where we have the Ubers of the world that lose untold tens of billions of dollars for the stock goes through their fright. Right. So the venture capitalist win and put up the money for Uber lose money before they had borrowed the rest of what they lost from all street. When the IPO comes out even doesn't do well as in the case of Uber forty some odd dollars, but eighty billion dollars valuation the venture capitalists, they don't care if the company even survives they get their payday. And they leave. Yeah, that's what it is. That's the age we live in where businesses that are well run. Well thought out have loyal clientele. Don't seem to be getting as much positive press these pie in the sky deals. That amazes me. No, it shouldn't this. This is like chapter two of the meltdown. We were really thinking all those eighteen hundred square foot homes in California. We're worth one point five million dollars to. Didn't lasting. I think in time. Auber is gonna come crashing down just like it seems Tesla's starting to do again. Dan, the term that they use now is disruptive. And I kept it's disruptive business. What does that mean in capitalism? Your job is to put out a better product for either less money or you're more convenient or something that betters your competitor. Right. If you do that people will flock to you and your service, whatever the case may be and capitalism survives on the ashes of the Bank. Vanquished. Yeah. And so now I've got a new term for it called disruptive. And if you'll notice they called disruptive firms capitalistic firms that lose untold billions of dollars putting people out of business in the past you had to earn money in order to succeed long term, and then better your competitor. So they've given a term disruptive and disruptive is a firm the can't make money doing what they're doing. But in the. The end fundamentals. Went out, you can call it whatever you want. You can call it fairy tale land, but sooner or later, the fundamentals of capitalism win out. Greg kick in at some point. And so tesla is at the point Washington got him. Another are Wall Street got him. Another two point seven billion dollars. The first of may and by the third week of may, they're going anybody invest in. That's an idiot. Well, they called that a disruptive company to the car business. How's it disrupted the car business? Yeah, I don't know. I guess maybe putting electrical lender. No, no no no to disrupt the car business. You have to gain on your competitors. Am disrupted anything. That's true. But that's what they call it will now Wall Street sane. Oh, in the case of tesla. The fundamentals are coming into play. And it will happen to all of them and the only people are laughing, the venture capitalist and the fees made by Wall Street to do this. My question is, how do you get this many people? This many times to lose that much money and they're still not broke meaning the investors the outside investors, the venture capitalist. How do you keep doing this to people may never run out of money? I don't know. That. Yeah. Well, there you go. Like you said, I started this show I think, and I'm going to point out who the best people in the car businesses, and as the decades of gone on the automobile industry is becoming the paragon of business virtue in America. Virgin Taghrid compared to this would've thought, there you go. Have good weekend. Dan? Thank you, sir. Aids out,.

"To be able to afford the monthly payment on a fifteen year loan in you have the cash to do, so then go further with the down payment, so you can stay with the fifteen year loan because you build up so much equity so quickly in the spread between the fifteen year and thirty year is such that it's really really wonderful to be able to do the fifteen year right now. Yeah. Yeah. I hear we mostly agree with the answer. We just heard that if we put down a bigger dump payment. That's the rates can be even a little lower. I don't know if that's enough depends on the lending source if they would want you to go past twenty percent that would be somewhat unusual. That once you hit twenty percent on an owner occupied home. They risk level drop so much for the lender. And so that becomes something that I don't think you need to worry about so much. But the, the spread you're looking at right now is the widest. It's been an good while between the fifteen and thirty what can't rates he being quoted. Like three point six three point seven. Okay. Shop that a little more. You may find. You can get that rate down some on a fifteen. Okay. Okay. Yeah. We have forty like giving them Auber financial you gone to a credit union yet for quote on alone. No, that's actually really to my second question. We have some online Bank accounts with them. We know some fence who referred their loan underwriters, but we haven't got the chance to take credit unions..

"Live in the WBZ weather center chief meteorologist Brad Barr. Now, let's go back to the field and David Bradbury who is watching a rotation again a little bit south west of Denton. What do you see now? Dave and tell me where you are. Moved north and east of our local Mark Roe. But did see a spin up a little wrote typo, cloud briefly. It did make contact with the ground and it dissipated. What about a minute and dissipated, but it did touch the ground in the open field. No hit a barn or anything. But it did actually spent a little phone applaud a new area. Now trying to really intensify. Directly to my east, though, I'm on a spin back around and and go back to where heat is this doing area that seems to be intensifying about a minute. So little storms trying to resist the phone the southwest. Blink. Okay. And again, give me your local are you near are you now east of thirty five W between thirty three seventy seven. I was on three seventy seven further east, and I've got north of Argyll and an east of all, okay. That's where I'm seeing something on the radar that might be a rotation signature. It's not very clear right now. But there may be some rotation around Argyle of the rotation that has triggered the new tornado warning for northeastern Denton county is now just to the west of Aubrey just to the west of Aubrey, and it is on a direct path toward pilot point. Now, again, we have not seen standby circulation due west of Auber. Yes, southeastern Sanger very pronounced areas of low level rotation moving north, and we'll have some new information here on the new position of this storm. But that's kind of where it is. It's just a little bit north west of Aubrey. It is moving toward pilot point everybody in pilot point needs to be under shelter at this time. Because. At least a rotating wall cloud, or as a cyclone a severe thunderstorm is moving regression and quite possibly a phone cloud or a tornado. It is impossible to see this thing because it is entirely rain wrapped we have rain from the Sherman Denison area down through lake Kiowa down through Taya pilot point Aubrey down to the crossroads area, clear on down into northeastern Tarrant county and southern Denton county as far south almost as Lewisville. So there's rain all the way around this storm, but the circulation is again near Aubrey and moving in the direction of pilot point, which is there in extreme northeastern Denton county and everyone in pilot point needs.

"Made it to the college basketball national championship game. Kyle guy hit a three pointer with seven point six seconds left. And then he was fouled shooting three with six tenths of a second ago. And he made all three shots to give the Cavaliers a sixty three sixty two victory over Auber kinda had that feeling your stomach like a good nervousness. Like, all right. This is my chance, and you know to be able to go to the national championship off of that for for these guys. And coach Bennett. I mean, I I really don't have the words guy at fifteen times earned twenty one the Cavaliers in the championship game for the first time ever in the other semi final Texas Tech pede Michigan state, sixty one to fifty one. Clint Frazier with the go ahead. Three run Homer. In the eighth Yankees. Beat the Orioles six four Camden Yards. Aaron judge. Also homered twice in the game at Amata of. "And now the whistle was tied up. Or is it a foul notes? Time out taken by Auber Virginia's over committed four fouls. In fact, each team away has four so what we saw last week between do commission state. They've got to foul quickly with just twenty point nine seconds to go. No doubt about it. And that's a disadvantage at this juncture. In west. You've got the best seats. Fifty nine fifty seven. Let's pause ten seconds for station identification. This is the Westwood One. NCAA radio network your home for the national championships. Four thousand piece one time outlet for Auburn timeouts for Virginia possession arrow, favoring the Auburn Tigers with point nine seconds remaining. In this second half fifty nine fifty seven Auburn by just a pair. And when tied to picked up that fourth foul Virginia was up. I think eight or ten and they've not sports since Auburn has gone on a significant run on the three point shooting of Bryce Brown. The managers knew about with pace. Allman took some ill-advised shots who made him get all play that way. They've still got to get this thing across the half court line purify. There's gonna be some fouls coming here purify. Looking looks left looks right. Looks left throws by Dougherty dot. By doughty doughty is fouled on. I was high risk all those turn over. Doughty is fouled. That's the fifth. Team foul on Virginia. The reason terrible because officials don't wanna make a determination on a game there. Sometimes permitted to get a little bit more. Yep. Pure foil, come to the side of the floor to inbound. Five thousand whistle to Virginia. The inbound comes to Jared Harper who is fouled immediately. That's team foul number six clock at eighteen point five seconds to go to point game fifty nine fifty seven. And inbound coming again. Auburn Tigers on the next foul Auburn, we'll go to the line for one and one opportunity there. Eight of ten at the stripe tonight, four of six second-half back remorse. The guy you wanted to want to get it only. Thirty three percent of the turnament from the line. Pure into macklemore. They follow him immediately. Good work by Virginia really denying anybody else. The chance to get the ball. And so Michael Moore sixty percent of the year. But as Clark mentioned thirty three percent in the tournament. Makomo is first free throw attempts to the night coming right year Virginia's done a good job of protecting the clock because they haven't all been hadn't been able to cut that clock significantly. I think only three seconds three plus from the time grows. Three players. It's been about three point three seconds. I think coach I recall being twenty point nine. It's a seventeen point six now junior has not scored in five minutes and five seconds more to the line into the one and one is good. This one. Bigger makes it a two possession game. If he makes it. Bruce Pearl's leading Bryce Brown. No. We've only committed four fouls. We have thousands to give. Second free throw by macklemore to game inbound to Giral fifteen seconds to go or you gotta go quick fourteen. Nothing long ten seconds to go into the corner guy launching a three three of the right corner. Good with six point five seconds to go to one point game at a foul before the inbound while Kyle guy with a huge three key. Hey clark. Commits the foul before the inbound. So a March to the other end, and regardless of whether these two free throws go down or not Virginia still going to have a chance where we heard this before to tie the game at the end of regulation urban asking for attention. Foul. Stay about him Dinnie. Let him go. Jinyu on the line. This will excite coach tops. And I believe they're gonna look at the monitor to confirm that it was a three pointer just to make sure they don't want to go forward without confirming that the make was a three from Kyle guide deep in that right corner. Coach Thompson has told me throughout the years. One thing I love Kevin is monitor replay reviews. I wish they'd had them when I was coaching. Go. Learn nothing say. And it looks like for sure three clock as we got our first website on the replay monitor here. That's exactly what it looked like clearly had separation between three point line in his feet. So they looked at both the three and now they've put time back on the clock. So they looked at the three two or three and they looked at the clock seven point four seconds remaining in this ball game. And marching to the other end now for one opportunity the Auburn Tigers it'll be Jared Harper who's going to the line eighty three percent of the line. Harper has not had an attempt tonight. But he was eleven four eleven in the win over Kentucky oversaw. Harper all strives to the line. Four dribbles. Front end of the one one good second free throw coming now Virginia. Has to timeouts left if they choose. And remember Auburn still has fouls to give they've only committed four fouls. They've got a couple of give. And I would think they would use. At the line for one more throw Auburn sixty two with is sixty. Second free throw rebound out Joel Jerome Powell. Severe doughty commits the foul five point four seconds to go foward quick. Maybe perhaps. I mean now you get a chance to maybe try to see if you can get that other foul you have to give us a couple of seconds on that clock. But you're right, perhaps quick. But you've got another foul that you can give coaching. I think Auburn certainly try to use it or you sound Larkhall inbound Jerome Giral four second all lost dribble. Gironde gets back across half. Morton is fouled with one point five seconds to go. Six foul on Auber. Right. The little bobble cost Virginia wishes yet that baba had hit his foot. And I think has to be thinking about trying to advance this with the past. But it's over now. So you one point five Auburn has no more foul to give you've got time with one point five seconds ago. Spor catch maybe one dribble and a shock. If you're thinking who's going to be that shooter Jerome's got twenty one in this game these four of nine from three three cow guys points. He's five of eleven overall two six three hunter fourteen point seven of eleven from the floor over one from three point land. So now, here's the question. One point five to go is Tony Bennett looking for two or looking for three win or quality shout, whatever he has an his playbook that.

"Covering the final four for the SEC. Now, I will be hanging out here in the twin cities as long as Auber is hanging out in the twin cities. But it's the great ma'am and had not been to a men's final four in. Seventeen years seventeen years two thousand to Atlanta that was the last one Maryland beat Indiana, you remember it one Dixon and a great story there. Maryland was. I've been in the great it's bigger here. The weather's terrible. It's a little chilly. I don't believe there is sun in the state of Minnesota. I'm fairly certain. There is no sun in this state. Because if there is I haven't seen it. But there's a good buzz. There's a lot of green invading with Michigan state as you would imagine easy geographical advantage. No, it's not right around the corner, but it's much closer than Auburn or Virginia or Texas Tech Lottie green here. Lot of locals take it in the practices yesterday. They're pretty jazzed up for this final four that building is incredible. By the way, three years as as the home of the Vikings to this point US Bank stadium gorgeous inside gorgeous outset. But tonight, we get basketball it, we'll get into that. We'll get into our hotlinks coming up here in less than ten minutes in the three players that are the biggest keys in this final four three players. We'll dive into that Jay Bilas. Tells us who is most instrumental in getting his team championship, which we don't know the answer. We don't we haven't heard that. So we're gonna play that after our hot list to see if he if either of us agree with him, or if he agrees with us, we'll get there. But in general about this vital four like are, you we don't have Duke, and we don't have North Carolina. We don't have Kentucky are you still into this? Yeah. I think you have to be Dr when you have four different conferences, you have the ACC. Yeah. The big ten big twelve coaches that are a little older you about Izzo at sixty four pearls fifty nine but then yet benefit forty nine beard at forty six. You have some kind of Cinderella stories here you have a team right now in Michigan state that has battle a lot of adversity with two players that they thought will be key guys that aren't and you think about Auburn losing their top player than having three with illness right now battling little thickness going into this game tonight. So we'll see if Bruce Pearl's team could overcome. Mm that there's a lot of intrigue. The the big names. The big teams teams. We thought would be here, aren't which isn't a bad thing. It's a final four and you wanna see right now can Michigan state where it's kind of all fallen perfectly for them to get to this point. They had to huge win. They knocked out the team that we thought was destined. That's Clemson was in college football. We thought Duke was destined was I to win a championship that didn't happen. So Michigan state sits here as a two and a half point favorite over Texas. Tech Virginia a six point favorite over Auburn. Everybody feels the two favorites will win and move on. Then you would favor I think Michigan state but should be actively game defensive teams. But I think it's Tom Izzo. The story right now is is oh candy. Instead said that'd be out fishing right now, which he thought he would be here. He is in the final four with a great opportunity to win a championship. See here's what I love about this final four. I don't think there's a favourite. BPI for ESPN BP. I might say that there is for instance, it gives offer a seven percent chance of winning the.

Fifty six percent in eighty seven seventy three thumping of northeastern the jayhawks outscore the huskies fifty to sixteen in the paint grabbing seventeen more rebounds to advance to face Auber. Their coach Bill self guys were as locked the. They've been in a long time. You know, one thing about about northeastern so important take shots off the catch and make them try to score off the balance, which will be totally different with, you know, Saturday because you got to take away shots off the catch. And then you've got to be able to contain the ball. So they don't you don't force help everywhere. But I think I think our guys were locked in pretty well. "Got a couple of tweaks Dan you have to take into account health Cuyler Murray's playing big twelve defenses to torch, those DS, I'm not confident Cuyler could put up six touchdowns and three quarters of play against Auburn. Now, I would be confident that he could put up six touchdowns against Auber. Cuyler Murray is spectacular to is wonderful to watch his well, I think it's going to hurt to a little bit that he doesn't play in the fourth quarter. That defense is so great. And you have Jalen hurts who could lead this team to an undefeated season. It's not as fault. It's just that's the reality of this and Cuyler Murray plays on a team that has a defense that is porous and he's got a score forty points every single game. See this is from a g Colin best Buckeye spanking the team up north worst. My Steelers giving way another victory. That's one of those where you're watching and you're going, okay, probably playing for overtime here. And then all of a sudden rothlisburger makes a throw that if the defensive lineman doesn't make the interception the defensive back. That's how bad it was. And the Steelers giving that away. Now, you gotta be game against the chargers. Next week. Yon Biko's tweets worst, Packers losing to the vikes pretty much ending playoff hopes worst this badgers getting run out of their own building. "Maybe a letdown spotted. There is a letdown spot there, but now it's still not Auber Mississippi State caliber. Clemson waking up suited there yet. That was from a slumber from last week. Hopefully, Trevor Lawrence is fully healed. I think the prognosis seems positive, but they're going to Winston, Salem, take on Wake Forest and Clemson is nineteen point favorites. Okay. Now I still feel in clemson's defense above all Kansas, West Virginia. In Morgantown, perhaps a letdown spot after a close call against Texas Tech. I don't know, and then Alabama, no chance on the road. No Jin in Fayetteville. No chance, Arkansas feisty on defense last week, tie. No chance. Okay. So your gut right now immediately is saying that Auber Mississippi State game gets your one eye open. That gets my one eye open. Yeah. Okay. All right. Where should we start? We'll before we start though. We gotta finish the previous thought on the window of opportunity. Yes. Sorry, I think if you're playing the long con, the move is to plan your night out this week because if you look at the biggest night games this week, he got Kentucky am offer Mississippi State, which would just talked about Notre Dame, Virginia Tech. I could see a big swath of our listeners looking at those three games and feeling very blah, like at now not interested. I would consider playing the night out this week. Do what you gotta do. Go to the rush. Go see, cats, go see it again. There's a big ins next week that are inevitably going to be at night that you're not gonna wanna miss build up your relationship capital now, boys and girls. Yeah. Do it in week six because week seven is something you're not gonna wanna miss window vob. Yeah, it's a rough night's late, I guess keep a keep an eye on your phone. If you if you do go out yacht, Auburn, Mississippi State, that's a seven thirty game that will easily stream on your phone. "You can only have one of the Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan state Penn State combination. They're all in the same division. Only one of them can make it to the to the conversational game, basically opening the door for Scott frost, hopefully to bust through it and beat. Up eventually or what's gone CIN or an Iowa. But that's just that's the big ten and they. It makes it difficult because they'll play other and it makes difficult because do can't have extra win under your belt and you saw what happened to Wisconsin. Last year they got the, they got it to it. They lost. That was our one loss. And that's the thing was gone is not Georgia. Georgia can go in a feed, lose good, lose their conversation, game to Alabama mind. You probably be the number one seed. That's what I'm assuming. And it's not the same as losing dual house day who lost to Oklahoma last year in the in the commerce that'll game. So looking at Georgia's schedule forget about Georgia. Even though they were great, great story last year, we rookie rookie. I always say rookie. Freshman quarterback. They don't play. No, they don't play album. They play else you and they play Auber, which is gonna be interesting. Those are going to be the SEC man. He is so talented and the thing is you can't. There's teams the SEC. We kind of forget about Mississippi State is a good program. Mississippi State is a very solid program. Wait till we'll must get some more time to make to turn Florida into a good program. Like what he just at Mississippi State. LSU obviously, even all without Luke. I mean, they kind of themselves figured out a little better, but there's some really targeted programs in the SEC, Auburn, Alabama. You can have CFP just these teams. Almost two seems like. Could've last year probably if you, I mean three of the four if you wanted to throw all Auburn in there because I loved Auburn, some enough that win they, they made Alabama, look bad. They could Jalen hurts look bad. Honestly, that's kind of what I think that was that was the writing on the wall for Jalen hurts and and and the tradition to too was that game against Auburn and in fact that he could not do they couldn't do squat against that defense, which is not really that highly touted defense anyways, it was the Georgia defense or else you events? Yeah, auburn's known for fast quick tempo offense and good running back, which is what they had last year. Yeah, it's just gonna be interesting, Auburn, good job getting that win against Washington. That's another feather in their cap. Georgia. They have their schedule, all they have their work cut out for them. The SEC gauntlet. The SEC is got lit, and it's interesting to see who can trip up..

Give me some music. Gimme drummer. I'll give you something. Here we go. I've got Washington over Auburn in the most meaningful game in week. One that I think the huskies Auber auburn's favourite in that what time out? That's not an upset. What's the point spread? Three threes. As I tripped over in in mind, that's not an upset. What do you want me to start talking about that? I think Oregon state's going to be within forty, two of Ohio State. That's not very fun. I'm going with the upset Washington over Auburn. That is an upset list is making function. This is short circuiting over here like the hairdryer hitting the bathtub flimsiest weakest spoken like the guy from Seattle dot, even upset. In the latest eight people Washington to head of Auburn, their dog in from Vinnie the Shannon Vegas, Vegas all the time when it serves your needs. Okay. That's your big upset.
