"Yeah, worse than in the pandemic, you've also got this new wave of COVID because China's reopening and you've got it happening in tandem with the NHS struggling to cope with winter flu. So you've got nurses and ambulance drivers strikingly to this month. Rishi sunak has said that fixing the NHS is one of his top priorities. The defense is ministers give is that they're increasing the NHS's capacity by the equivalent of 7000 beds. They're spending an extra half a billion pounds to speed up hospital discharge, but the NHS really is symptomatic of the broader problems in the UK, creaking infrastructure and labor shortages, and the criticism from labor and the unions is that the government isn't even prepared to negotiate with the unions. In terms of what's needed, I should say there's a fantastic op-ed in the times today by the chairman of the attlee foundation Alan Evans. And today is the 140th anniversary of at least birth, and he, of course, was the prime minister who created the NHS, and Evans says that atley might not have been as charismatic as Winston Churchill, his predecessor, but what he was known for was effectiveness and sunac needs to follow that example when it comes to health and social care. Okay, well, up you another op-ed out of the telegraph, of course, which I think is also fascinating to which puts the opposite case of kind of a perhaps opinion in the UK, Jill Kirby, writing about how does the does the NHS effectively need privatisation as she's talking about in the last bit of her newspaper piece? We need a health service that responds to patient demand based on a different funding model. I mean, that's seems a clear shout to privatisation to me. Yeah, and a big question that politics will then have to address is whether or not the way to make the NHS sustainable is to change the way it operates altogether. Lizzie give us your big picture thoughts and going into 2023. What's on the horizon? Well, look, economically, it's going to be the same big macro themes as elsewhere around the world, inflation and recession, and indeed whether inflation can be tamed without further stoking the recession that the Bank of England says the UK is already in. In his new year's message, Rishi sunak acknowledged that 2022 was a difficult year that the problems aren't going away. And as we know, the UK is the only economy in the G 7 that's yet to return to its pre-pandemic size. You mentioned that Financial Times poll. Now, that's going to shape the agenda for the government as we head towards the election, which the Tories must call by January 2025, and they really have a lot of ground to make up one poll has put labor 26 points ahead of the conservatives. So Rishi sunak really needs to prove that after 12 years in government, the Tories are not tired that they've got the talent, the ideas and the unity to win another term. And there'll be two big opportunities to do that. First, the budget on March, the 15th to show that this government is serious about growth. And in April, the 25th anniversary of the good Friday agreement would be an opportunity to deliver a compromise on Brexit to show that they understand that stability is what business wants. Okay, Lizzie Bernard, UK, correspondent. Thank you very much for taking us through all of that. Let's turn next to China. Xi Jinping warning of tough challenges ahead in the country's fight against COVID-19. This is a wave of infections continues to sweep the country since restrictions were eased almost a month ago at the same time the latest economic data showing a decline in manufacturing and services activity in December for the latest we can go to Shanghai and speak to Bloomberg's Alan wild Bloomberg Alan greats to have you with us on the show. What exactly did Xi Jinping say then over the weekend about the country's fight against COVID? I mean, the most interesting thing about it was the fact that ever since China announced accessible zero that's been mostly silenced, right? As it was then during the years addressed that Xi Jinping, I mean, I'm most recently thinking was he talked about describe a policy shift as sort of I guess sorry order to adapt to the omicron, basically, which is the fact that it's less lethal, but more transmissible. And that's probably the most important thing. And also, I mean, he offered a rare acknowledgment of the difficulties that everyone here in China has been facing in the past three years due to a COVID restrictions. And while he didn't directly refer to the protests, he did say that it's already natural for a country 1.4 billion people to have different concerns and views on some issues. So yes, I think those are the most interesting things about COVID. Yeah. Well, that's pretty fascinating, isn't it? Having said that, the economic data is pretty grim, certainly for December that there's been this big wave of infections is Beijing though getting over the wave of infections is that peaked is there kind of a glimmer of hope or is it just dealing with COVID cases now? Yeah, I mean talking about the data like you said. I mean, there's a little backward looking, right? But basically PMI showed confirm what the official data show, which is a worsen decline December. And what if I understand this morning as well? That was really the deal was suggesting that economy contracted in the fourth quarter. And the GDP only grew 2% last year, which is a lot less than what most economy is predicting. And over the weekend, during the

"Way out of this, but frankly, she put herself in that position. Triple 8 9 7 one SA GE triple 8 9 7 one 7 two four three I am Larry elder, along with Josh satley Josh atley is a firefighter paramedic at the city of Beverly Hills. He's done that now for 11 years. A lot of people want to talk to you, Josh, but I have a few more questions first. What is your religious denomination? I'm actually LDS Mormon. Is there in a position among LDS members about this issue? Yeah, in fact, there is, you know, it's strongly suggested that you get vaccinated, however, if you have doubts, then you always refer to it even according to our handbook, you refer to prayer and you refer to the inspiration of the holy ghost. And that's where I stand. And because I feel so strong about this, honestly, I've taken a step back and just try to live more Christ centered life with me and my wife and my children and get recentered around our savior. And that's where we're at. Would you say Josh most Mormons are refusing to be vaccinated? No, I wouldn't say that. What is a firefighter paramedic? So a firefighter, so we're dual staff, essentially, so I'm an all risk employee either. So I can fight fire, I can do trench rescue. I can do technical rescue, and then also I respond to EMS calls, which in our city is 80 to 90% of our call volume. So as a paramedic, your level higher level of care than an EMT can start IVs, you can do ACLS drugs. You can remove obstructed airways. And so that's the level of service that you provide to the community, but in our city, I can ride on the fire engine. I could run the fire truck or also transport on an ambulance too. So all you guys are firefighter paramedics. Not everyone, but a lot of us are at least a firefighter EMT, which is a little bit less medical care. But there are quite a few firefighter permits in the city of Beverly Hills. Why do you decide to become a firefighter? Well, growing up, I always enjoyed really the level of service. There's several reasons. I enjoyed serving people as really satisfying to me to help other individuals who needed it. For me, that was a big purpose of becoming a firefighter. I know that's a lot of reasons. Secondly, I grew up playing a lot of sports. I love the brotherhood aspect of it. You can hang out with your buddies all day. You get a work play and do all those things that guys do at the station, which are a lot of fun. And it was a career opportunity that for me was something different every day. I didn't want to sit behind a desk and just do a mundane job. I worked in the trades before I got in the fire service. I'd appreciation for working with my hands and learning the trades. You know, I sit behind a desk. No offense. Just wasn't for me. What happened when you went home and told your wife that their mandating that you become vaccinated you're not going to do it? What did she say? That's a great question. And that's actually a discussion that we had about a year ago. We could see the writing on the wall with this. I assume the county would enforce this through not researching my paramedic license. And then when this came out in August, it happened a lot sooner than we anticipated. And it was something that we've been praying about and discussing, and we knew that really wasn't ever an option for me to sacrifice my morals to take the vaccine. And we knew that God's going to provide for us whatever that is, I don't know. We have some peace in the fact that we know the outcome is going to be okay. We don't really know what that path looks like still. As far as employment is concerned, what your plan B I don't know to be honest with you I'm exploring all options at this point. I might get back into the trades, or there's other fire departments that are reaching out that aren't affected by this yet, or maybe not. I know Orange County is a stronghold and they're still allowing the opportunity to choose. And that's all we ask for is really just the choice. I know it's a long way away, but I understand that the governor of Florida is asking police officers who are being forced to be vaccinated. Come on down. The climate is fine. I saw that. Yeah. I saw he was offering bonuses. These guys, I'd love that if it was a fire opportunity. Maybe I'll pack up the truck right now. We'll head down there. A lot of mosquitos there. That was just a Key West. Have your kids been vaccinated for measles for months? Yeah, they were. And that's a great question too because I feel like my wife and I have become really aware of what we're putting in our kids bodies and our bodies over the last couple of years. I mean, I used to take certain pre workout supplements that I don't take anymore because they cause cancer or just trying to be better stewards over our bodies and over the things that we put in our bodies is what we've been doing in the last couple of years. You know, more holistically healing. Things of that nature. All right, we come back a number of people Josh want to speak with you. In mid-september another group went to the gallows who reverend noise referred to as the eight firebrands of hell. The only person actually not die from hanging was gyles. Corey the husband of martha corey who refused to enter a plea and so he was subjected to a particularly gruesome form of torture and was pressed to death. This is when the accused is crushed under heavy stones until they either respond or die. Lovely sounds horrific. Yeah all right. So let's get back to to tuba. Yeah what's up with that. I think the new gothic series is putting out of the bat pet university of the black cat with the black commission. Gordon so i think they've decided to make a commissioner gordon black in that i think and i could be completely mistaken. I'm still waiting for my big screen book. But you know Haven't had one of those sense. Since batman eighty nine wasn't even called book but anyway but this episode Yeah so this is the episode where What happens is it. Does this one where. I'm going to start software. Yeah it starts off with omni man making a little speech at the threats for the guardians of glow of the glenn. Some pretty interesting things that you know when you're first watching it you're just thinking they're completely innocuous but certain things he says are like when you when you see the city like hawaii how you know me know right now yeah man it is just so you got a one. There will be more of me. We'll be here to protect you. People you know. Yeah oh yeah you know. That's the point this future if you just stand down right. It's so funny watching it from that perspective and as an actor to watch sort of what. He is thinking what he can use that. What is the subtext. The actors again and it gives a whole nother layer of enjoyment to that performance. Yeah yeah and it really is a good performance. I mean you know and then you have the the real burial at later because of course the nothing actually bury them in the public graveyard. You're gonna go to secret graveyard. That's where everyone gets buried. And they do the whole over again and confronts him. Oh yeah deeming. Dark to is I i gotta say damian dark is as the mythical colombo is one of my favorite ideas it just one more thing just one more than me. I'm not very well. We're well versed in human emotion. That interactions you got excuse me exactly but it just just always you know it is in is. It is very much and i think. They've redesigned them a bit from what he looks like in the comics minimal up more demonic away. At least i think. I'm not one hundred percent certain because i've seen some image of images of looks very human but i think the trenchcoat i think they were definitely trying to make him. Look more like a lead colombo s you know just this guy who's trying to piece little things little things that don't quite fit up. Yeah i like that. They're not afraid to parody. Things are not tied down and take themselves so seriously that they're you know they're so concerned about being unique in being having their own identity just like we're just i mean it is something serious that we're doing but we're not afraid to make fun of things along the way you know they're not afraid to be like caricatures of things right and in that moment where they introduced dark seismic they really want you to feel like. Oh we're comparing ourselves to the dc universe by saying get ready for dark seismic you know nebulae often. Those moments are really really fun. I like the not afraid to do that. They don't take themselves so seriously if they can't make those jokes and you and i think one of the beauties of the show is that they are willing to to be a comic book. Show that they know that this is meant to be. And it's you know this order. These things i always say. I think it's a little bit more a more realistic portrayal of a super heroic world when superheroes are more commonplace and they are part of the cultural dial. That was always one of those things where you know. When alan moore wrote watchmen. He said well. You know people aren't gonna read comic books about superheroes. Superheroes actually exists though. Read comic books about pirates. Which assure why not. But it's like you know we have real cops yet. We love cop. Movies we have real warriors and warriors. We love war movies. You know i think the of superheroes just going to make their be more superhero memorabilia. When they didn't watch yeah. I think there's something tore imagining something. That real you know when when when something the who becomes real your mind needs someplace else to put that energy. Where you're looking to escape from the real of your world and find like fantastical way of thinking about ways to escape it so that that entity will still need to be expressed somehow and i wonder whether that would go with that go to alliens until alien show up and now okay aliens a real now. Where does our fantasy mind go. Then we'll go into demons and whatnot and and the supernatural and austin that where we'll our mind go then. I don't know that's an interesting thought. Yeah i mean the thing. Is that even when you meet other aliens out there. Discontinue ciller doesn't fill that void of of something out there that redefines everything that's of something unknown will always be at the back of our minds. I think that's just who we are as people. But that's the thing but what i'm saying is it's not unheard of to just based on what you already know. Oh yeah you already know. Also you know. We know that we know we know that. Various governments exist that do evil things so we have stories. Were governments do evil things. We know but but we have way more stories about sci-fi and way more stories especially now when times are uncertain about mythical heroes and superheroes we have a lot of those right now. So i mean like a. I think it's an interesting point to say that once they become real what becomes the thing. That's not real. That we do fantasize about so what what is unreality next..

If 1 35 left these wanna wait off Kershaw righties to 40. I mean, it's These these air two guys, it could take one swing of the bat to change the game. And it could easily be a one. Nothing game. A 2 to 1 game. Look at the defense 12. You know that, of course, But you know, I like I asked war earlier about the two strike approach both these guys when you when he gets two strikes on me, they put you away. I mean their batting averages air Under 100 on some of these counts, and that's what I think both teams they're gonna have to do. You might see first string approach or first strike approach, trying to get him out early and getting people on base and You know, the one thing I was looking at here last night? I was just looking at what the Dodgers do. They're catching. Both. These catchers are last in throwing players out, and I'm surprised that they haven't stole more. Because both room the ratios are bad. So I'm hoping to see that they did steal. I think once or twice in the last couple of games, But I'd love to see a little bit more on base running and seeing if they can get some people in scoring position, maybe both sides Gausman, two stolen bases, No caught stealing. So we're looking forward to greeting her as well. And let's keep her in our thoughts and person. Everyone that's been affected by Cove it or everyone that's going through Any difficult time in their life. But, you know, the state of Michigan has gone through a lot of difficult times all of us actually have. And we've learned that. Ah, lot of the things that the Lawson and the requirements and these rules that have been imposed on us by our governor and by our state have been silly. And that's what Ingrid jocks writes about. In her editorial, most recently in the Detroit News. She says that Wittmer has discovered that her own covert rules are silly. Issue basically kind of highlights the rules for the but not for me, and that's why we wanted to have Ingrid Jocks talk about a little bit about her editorial in about the policy changes in the Department of Health and Human Services. Good morning, Ingrid. Gone. Ingrid, you're on with Rocky area there. Yes, I'm here. All perfect. So tell us a little bit. About what? What inspired you to write this incredible editorial, Atley Sting my mind. I thought it was incredible because it really hit exactly what I was feeling at the time when I found the governor was caught again. Time and time again and again, apologizing to the state of Michigan to the citizens. No. Well, thank you for having me on and I thought it was good to point out that it's just becoming more and more parents that we do not need. Um all these rules and regulations governing our lives anymore and I think the fact that the governor ran into some of this silliness herself over the weekend was a great example. I mean, she met up with 12 other friends as land shark. In Lansing and no, I don't blame her for needing to relax and have fun. But the problem was she and her friends pushed a couple tables together so they could all sit with one another. But the thing is that goes against current health Department rules. The epidemic order that says You can't do that. You can only have six people at At a table on those tables have to be six ft apart, and there's no exceptions. And, um e think the governor made it pretty clear that these will just aren't necessarily Moore's as we have more and more people getting vaccinated and coded Cases are going down dust. They're going down. It's time for the state to get much less involved in micro managing our life. I completely agree. And you know, when the governor made her apology, she said that it was a mistake. But when I went to law school, I learned that doing what she did is actually intentional. She knew what she was doing, and they intentionally did it. So when you do something intentionally, is it really a mistake? Or is it Kind of like you're trying to forget about the rules and laws that you've imposed on the state of me. Well, you think that she would she would know, and she she may have, but I mean, she said in her apology, she's human. She just stayed and think about it. But that's you know, Part of the problem here is that some of these rules So these pages and pages of rules that are constantly changing that we're supposed to abide by businesses are required to abide by They really They just don't even make sense. So, um, it's an excellent example of why these rules need to go away. And a zoo governor told us they're on their way out. But in my opinion, not not quickly enough, Um As of Monday, the governor announced that the health department will be scaling back some of these orders. Interestingly, um, including the whole six people per table rule that is going away, and that's great, but it's not going away until June. 1st. Uh there's really no good quote. Scientific explanation for why You know, we can't have people sitting at a table of more than six people for the next week. No people are trying to celebrate graduation. No other, You know, birthdays other events, and they're not gonna be able to do that. At a restaurant until Until June 1st and there's just no good explanation for that, you know, angered this actually affected me personally. My daughter's birthday. We actually went to the brain, you buddies Pizzeria and Troy and we had my brother in his family there and my my wife's brother and his family, and we had to actually separate our tables. And they wouldn't let us bring those tables together to sing. Happy birthday to our daughter. We had 26. Well, it looked like it was like a parade of tables. People singing Happy birthday to my daughter, which was kind of ridiculous, But you're absolutely right. And I'd love to get your reaction on the news that we hear now that they're not going to find the land shark for this obvious disregard of state rules, even though they're still in place till June. 1st like you and your fellow colleague Bethel Block Right in the Detroit News in an article yesterday, she she mentions the June 1st deadline now. But they're not gonna find the land shark. I'd love to hear your reaction on that. Yeah, well, I guess that's good news for the land shark, because I mean what? What employees would have wanted Theo tell the governor that she can push your tables together. But at the same time that's led to a lot of calls from Republican lawmakers and and others that okay, it's the land shark skinning a free pass, then. The state should go back and relieve these other businesses that we're fine over the last few months that they didn't get a reprieve. And you can just you can go on the state of Michigan website and find a list of dozens of businesses, including restaurants before doing things like what happened at the land shark with, you know, accommodating two large of a group. No, these these finds range from hundreds of dollars 2000 and, um, so it's just you got to be fair and how you apply to you. Swingman. Let me let me let me get hold on one second, Ingrid. This is very important so you can actually find out who violated these laws or these rules on the state lead, Uh, website. Yes, you can. If you go to the bio ship page under the Labor Department, the Michigan Occupational Health Safety Administration, folks, You heard it here today, those air the book of the businesses that we should be supporting 110% because they're they're trying to employ people. They're trying to keep food on the table for families and their workers. So no, I'm glad you told us that Ingrid Ingrid jocks. Detroit News editorial writer. I gotta tell you angry. You're probably one of the best writers in the Detroit News. You've got a lot of good staff there, but I really love reading your opinions and thank you for coming on with the late morning show on WJR. Sir. Thank you so much for having me. That doesn't mean by the way that all these players haven't been here. It just means they weren't there today, right? Then they could have been here yesterday. They could've been here last week. They could be there later this week, maybe right. I mean, but they just they weren't seen on the field today. Those 10 I I imagine that McDermott spoke before this practice, right? Um, yes, he did. He spoke at 10:15 A.m.. Okay, because the reason I ask is literally maybe is a notable player and again. We don't know what you're saying if he was there and has been there previously. But of course, he opted out last year. So I'm only asking because I assume McDermott didn't volunteer that Starla Tooley wouldn't be there today. If you had known that when you talk to McDermott, I would assume he would have been asked about it because I wonder if that's you know, at all alarming, given that he sure decided not to be a part of this last year, so Yeah, especially because his quote was. Unfortunately he's not here, right? I mean, when you use that word, I think it Becomes a little bit more of a buzz word a little bit more, You know, kind of perk your ears up and yeah, because of what happened last year and again, let's go back to what I just said, which is There is a negotiation as far as I know. You were listening to us talk about McDermott's comments today as we started our show. Were you then also Impressed or and or surprised that he went as far as he did talk about getting vaccinated beings, you know, be impressed with or to applaud the other people in the organization who did that. And even to say that, you know there. It's a challenge or concern what that might have been his word to try to get guys to a point where they could meet. Whatever thresholds are necessary to, you know, have a so called normal offseason. Um, I wasn't. I think I was. Ah, little surprised. I guess that he seemed more like, Hey, maybe sending a message. You mean, um you know that this is what they're trying to do with their goal is but not surprised at all that he would bring up things about, you know, personal choice. And you know that I'm not gonna get into you know, specifics and players and things like that. Um, not surprised at all that he mentioned that they are having you know, conversations amongst the team and he's going to keep that in house. Obviously, just like Josh Allen basically said, But so those kinds of things not surprised, but Yeah, I mean, he he voluntarily offered that he is in other people in the organization are so I think that it was his own way of letting us know. And maybe letting his team know through the media that Hey, this is what we'd like to do. But, you know, I'm not gonna sit here and say, Oh, my God, I can't believe some guys haven't been yet. He did go AST far to say that he is working to educate. Players, people in the organization on the subject. That's interesting. Yes, And I think that's important for everybody. I think it's important for all of us. You know, to be educated in whatever manner whatever shape we have to be educated about this, I think you know I went through that I You guys know, I told my story. I'm on the co morbidity is list, you know, so I was vaccinated back in March when it was put on the list I wanted, but I had to educate myself on a lot of different issues going on with this and No. What was right for me or not s O I. I understand that from anybody's perspective about educating and I think it is Any particular you know, it's Let me say it this way. Sports teams, football teams take a lot of pride and responsibility and educating their players about a lot of things that people might not realize off the field. This is just another one of them. I guess you know, that's why they have player engagement directors. That's why they have people who are literally specifically hired to You know, help them translate after football. That's why they have community relations. People in PR to to go through all of these types of things. I'm pretty impressed that McDermott was his candidates. He was cell in part, because, like talking about Josh Allen's comments as well, I'll couple these together like these are two very important leader figures in the organization. Maybe maybe the two most important Um, are the coach in the quarterback and Alan to me like I don't want to make assumptions about what he's going to do or what he has done about the vaccine based on his comments today, because I think he is in a position where I think he would want to not divide the room any further if it is divided it all. Atley star on this issue, right? Um Where's McDermott? To me? There's no doubt where he stands on it like he thinks it Zagat thing to do. It's a smart thing to do. It's It's a considerate thing to do, And it would be good for the team. And that maybe is, you know, certainly a part of his motivation, But I think it's interesting that The government didn't Seemed to be at least you know, talking today tow you guys worried about whether or not guys on the team would take that the wrong way like that. He's you know, pressuring them or even admonishing them for not getting the vaccine. Right, And I think that if there's any of that, it's probably already taken care of right. Whatever feeling that might be, because of what he also made clear, which is they are having discussions and what Josh Allen made clear They've been talking about this as a team. If there's any types of feeling I I would say that they have already been in full contact with everyone on their team about this, Whether they're thinking about getting it not getting it have gotten not had it yet. Whatever are going to get it don't want to get it. Um, I would think that no one on the team would listen to Shawn McDermott and have any of those thoughts? Yes, but he didn't make it that way anyway, But he's probably already taken care of that. They know how he feels. I guess you know what I mean. Even before he speaks, yes. Right? All right. So any thoughts on what Alan did with it? I mean, I would think that McDermott would maybe after today be done on the subject, or at least Compared with how he sounded today or the lengths he went to today. Um, coaches are reticent to make none. Team or game stuff, if you if I can call this that Really topics for discussion, so he'll probably get to that point. Whenever where is like really This is not a question. We need to answer every every day. Um, Ellen today now, Allen's already sort of found himself in the middle of it with comments he made weeks ago on the subject. Um, he's maybe already there, right? I said something. It didn't impress everybody, so I really don't need to be taking this any further. Wow..

"Knowing that I could just sit out and he has that ability to do that financially to say, I'll just I'll just sit out and make you make a deal. Well, I think when you're secure In that position one financially. I think he's fine. Yeah, okay in two His security is in his mind. Cannot collide with stand sitting at home when everybody else is playing, and I'm sitting at home watching something that are my body clock tells me I should be doing If he can, if he could do that. And he has all the leverage in the world. But if it's one of those deals where He's an addict to the degree that he can't and he has to play anyway, and he can't stand And he's in trouble. But if he makes his mind up, and he says, when I'm just gonna stay at home, it doesn't. I don't care I'm staying on. I'll wait. I'll come in With six weeks to go, I'll get my credited season. And if you if you decide to move me at that point before the trade deadline, great, Otherwise I'm so content. I'm willing to just sit and chill. I go go skiing with my girlfriend or something. Go get the money and just call today. Well, what'll happen is they'll start to threaten him. Economically. You know, we're gonna go get some of the money. We could get back from you. And he made say, OK, How much is it? It's 30. I'll give you 30 million back. I just want out. That's leverage. I don't think that's level season that bleak for me. Just give you a lot. Not a lot. We throwing out I'll give you $30 million back can't because J. You have to. You have to stand firm we go. Here's my thing. Here's why I think the Packers have the leverage here. And I know that in Aaron Rodgers mind that that is this case. You're probably one of Go towards Man. I mean, just one M v p These plans from the best football of his career. So to just say, you know what? I'm just going to sit there and just let it take its toll just dwindle. That's a lot for somebody that feels like they have a lot left in the tank. And I know that maybe the move to sit it out. But you and I both know this. As athletes. You become addicted to what you do and appoint the addiction. Part of like you were playing football. All right. I got one like I'm still playing basketball at Chelsea Piers because I love basketball, so playing them work, So when you put it into the big scheme of things to play football, to get paid the money you do to play football, a sport that you love you will play for damn free anyway. That's that's gonna be the hard part for Air Marge Rogers at this juncture of his career, But when you built different Like Armand Green has said, and others have sailed when you build different mentally. That part of it is like you cross me. I'm good. Don't need to be. Here with you. I can go do something else and I'm gonna make I'm gonna show you I could do something else and it's going to Hurt you and your team. And your career as a general manager in front office people because you forced this team it's already gave about enforcing it. E had miscommunication with you. Yeah, but you I've tried to amend that. I mean, look, if you go, you re rob the mosque is article and just being calm, which is great. It gives a thorough timeline off all these disgruntled issues that Aaron Rodgers is having the team like I get the accumulation effect. But if you're green Bay you're saying you're saying OK like I'm trying to amend this. I'm trying to come to the table at a fixed. Help me fix it, But you're going to be that person says you don't want to fix it. Okay, well, now you've handled it doesn't point where trust you, DOJ. I don't like you and I stress but that's the part where you come in. You should have these things that happened. Key, like people make mistakes and relationships like if you want to make it work. If you do want to retire here, then work with me to make it work. Let's try to work with you over the years, and you continue to just slap me in the face like going through that timeline that J reference the mob ski story that's on ESPN dot com. That's the fascinating part of it is that you look at it going back to August of 20. 19 is When really all this stuff happens. It begins with them giving to lock a workout simply that it starts the whole. Why would you bring in a young quarterback? What are you doing and then obviously they move up and they get your in love in the draft, and that creates even more of the concern and the early quotes again, Gooden kun's quoted at the time. When they brought it just brought in drew lock for a workout, saying Aaron wants to win. I think that's the most important thing. He knows we're trying to make the best decision for the football team going forward. So I don't worry about that. But I'm not with all players. You can't control that. Players get happy and said about all kinds of things are not too concerned. About that when it shows you there all the way back to the beginning of this to me. Is he's called players. He already was putting Aaron Rodgers in the same bucket as everyone. When he used that all players are always going to feel this way. His players, and then there's air round your player and that's to me. With the beginning of the issues between them can they work it out remains to be seen. But remember, also, Mark Murphy said, We're not Trading him. So that's where now the standoff begins that straight talk, But we're straight talk wireless say they're not going. No contract, No compromise. No, it's true. They all say it. But this is it will become a standoff. And again that that timeline that shows you it goes back. Atley. "Of the more difficult it bats in all of Baseball, Considering how he is wind up comes at you with the knees and elbows, I think is what my crinkle would say. But I think on on Wednesday night he got tossed from the game from the dugout for arguing a bad comb. And you gotta love that from a new guy. Oh, you gotta love that. And it's so funny because I was talking to a day Brundage, the manager, and I said, You know, he says, we're gonna have games where it's like 45 games in a row, and I said the same umpires. He goes. Yeah, I go. Well, you're gonna have to do this because you're gonna have your mascot You're gonna have to scream. But the umpires when they look over just point to the bench because everybody's gonna have to ask how you won't have to get throwing out. But But definitely Alex would got called out on that and don't no doubt that third base umpire was watching. That was a bad call. And Caselli that I mean, I watched that place so many times 32 years taken is his gear off in a ring them up, and I thought that was kind of a chicken call right there. Were you ever in the dugout was somebody get run from the dugout? Something that some guy who wasn't in the ball game? It all had no business yelling at the guy. There was a chicken all the time was at least at least screen stuff. And then he'd look at he'd be like, What do you mean? I didn't say that. I mean, he'd be the perfect guy that would just scream intensely. And then all the empires would look in and he'd be like, No, It's not me. Atley was perfect for that role. He was always doing that. And we would finally what we did. We start pointing right at him. And then all of a sudden he stopped doing it because we're like, Hey, we're not gonna get in trouble. And Frank was the best. He would just like, Give it to him. Give it to him. And then when they look in, he'd go. Hey, I know I don't know who's saying that, you know. It's so much, but I was glad Alex would did that. A veteran move right there from a picture. And at that time, 1st and 2nd, the Giants were rallying in the seventh inning to come back and the 32 pitch. I just didn't think that was the right thing to do in that in that position of the game, I'm with you. I think that that sort of you know, as a manager or a head coach doesn't sometimes in like basketball. Get a double technical got himself ejected or a manager will do it in baseball to kind of light a fire under his guys. I thought that was kind of cool. You read a veteran move, sort of keep the flame I'm going into. He knows what's going on out there, man. This guy's pitch in the playoffs pitch in the World Series, and I think he's been a great ad. So far for the job. It's getting good pitching. I mean, he's been fantastic. He was a little upset that he didn't go out the sixth inning of that game. He was throwing the ball well, you only gave up four hits, couple runs, and that was that home run to crone. But I would have loved to scene and I want to ask Bailey or even Kappler down the road. You know what the starting pitchers? You always had a guy go out there for another inning until somebody gets un because sometimes you might get three line drives and you get another inning in And I wish that would have happened with him. At that time. I thought he was throwing the ball still pretty well for the game, and he and it was a tie game at the time, But you know, it's just that point. That's up to really up to Kappler and Bailey on what moves.

I found myself engaging in all month a weekend hot toddy with my best friend's scooter, So I you know, I just I like a hot toddy. I don't know why I like a hot toddy just seemed like the thing. Toe order. What makes a good hot toddy? What's the history of the hot toddy? Sure, Yes. So I guess I'll start off a little bit with the history. Um The funny thing about history of any booze or cocktail is that people were drinking when the history was made, So there's always a counter argument of the history and Dates and numbers are always pretty blurry. But the history that I subscribe to you is that the word actually comes from the drink Tatty, which was and popular drink in India when Grace controlled India, and it was basically fermented sap of palm. But when the Brits traveled on the spice trade, they brought this Word toddy with them to back to the UK, Um and you know, because it's cold and damp in the UK, they There's hot. So you got this hot. Party on with it came the spices of the spice route that they were going with its its basic essence. Ah, hot toddy is hot water. Some sort of spirit and a little bit of sugar and spice. Um, there's different versions of it like right now, we all kind of either A lemon twist elements skin peel in or like a lemon wheel. I'm a big fan of actually putting some lemon juice and having almost like a hot lemonade, boozy lemonade on but the real History of how much I love is that you know, the most popular hot toddy is the Irish whiskey Hot toddy, right? So that has hot water usually powers Irish whiskey, Some sugar and the lemon twist. And this whiskey punch was actually the national drink of Ireland. Pre, you know about 16th 17th centuries. But then the Irish Catholics pro huge kibosh on it was like no Put the punch drunk this to her Stop. Guinness is now the natural beverage and it's for your health. So what do I need to know? To make sure my hot toddy is is Hot has stay home. Yeah, So there's lots of different ways. You know, Atley, and not surprisingly, um, the most popular drinks in our menu. Right now we're hot and it just because it's a hot drink doesn't necessarily mean a is going to stay hot. Hey, you have to make sure that when nothing's more disappointing than venturing out, supporting a small.
