"All right, let's turn first to the markets because I expect we're going to see a lot more shopping this as we go into Friday. The expectation now is for Jerome Powell to tell us that he's going to do whatever he needs to do in order to cure this inflation problem. The problem is I'm not convinced I don't think investors are convinced that he can even do what he needs to do. You know, on the one hand, that could be good for markets, right? Because they'd say, oh, well, he's never going to do what he really needs to do, which is high grades. A lot for the foreseeable future because that will cause a recession, not great, going into November. So he's going to check it out. And of course, theoretically, the market would like that. Unless common sense finally catches up with people and they recognize that if he doesn't do what he needs to do in the right amount of time, that means more problems down the road. Meanwhile, if he actually tries to get a handle on this, it will actually result. In more stumbles, economically, we've already gotten word of multiple problems within the job market I reported yesterday on the PWC study suggesting that 50% of employers are not looking to hire right now, scaling back on hiring plans. Meanwhile, there was news in just yesterday's session that Ford is now laying off roughly 3000 people. So all of this starts to accumulate, comes on the heels of Wayfair. We've already seen tech companies say that they are witnessing a slowdown. Look, it's here. I mean, the administration may not want to say we're in a recession, I may get flagged by somebody for saying it, but two consecutive quarters of negative decline in GDP is in fact a recession. That's what we're in right now. Maybe not a big one, but the fear is that as the Federal Reserve tries to pull back, because they stupidly stupidly stupidly. How many times did I tell you for the last two years they needed to stop printing so much money that we would be in exactly the situation we are in right now? Because they so stupidly printed all that money for so long. Now, we're dealing with the hangover effect and I want to just remind you of this when the fed puts the grease on, so to speak, by printing printing, printing, markets love it. And when the fed pulls back, markets don't like it. So I've been a little perplexed over the course of the last month over the course of this summer is the fed has said, you know, we need to move on rates. We need to move on rates and has. And yet the market has continued to rally that really hasn't made a ton of sense. It's like people were kind of blind and they didn't want to admit what was really going on. They should probably go get a job in the Biden administration. Here's the deal, guys. We're in for some choppy waters ahead. It may not be an awful recession. I certainly hope it's not, but this is a recession. The question is, how long does it take to really catch up in a much bigger way on the jobs front on the spending front, you name it? And they've been instrumental in getting election reform legislation passed in states throughout the country. As you mentioned, last month, Marco Rubio introduced legislation that would prohibit foreign countries. I'm sorry, foreign citizens from voting in our elections. The bill would prohibit federal funds from going to any state that allows foreign citizens to vote in any federal state or local election. It would also require that the state or local government must certify that they do not allow foreign citizens to vote. And Mike it's important to point out that should this bill become law, it would take effect on or after the date it's enacted. So these provisions would be implemented fairly quickly. And amac is proud to support this legislation, Mike, our members have demanded that our precious right to vote be protected and secured and preventing non American citizens from voting in our elections is certainly a step in this direction. His speech was everything could have expected from him. This would allow the federal government to control all fifty states elections and the power to stop every state from adopting certain voting provision like voter. Id and how voting rose are maintained now mike. Every state's new voting provision could be overruled by the federal government wants enough special interest groups. Sue them to trigger. What's called a pre clearance. Hr for opens the door wide for left-wing special interest groups to target specific states for political reasons and sue them to manipulate their voting laws. And besides there's already existing laws like the voting for voting rights act and other stats like the national voter registration. Act that protects voters against discrimination and intimidation. This bill does not honor the late congressman for whom it is named and amac is gearing up our campaign to a fight to fight it and to oppose it and the way you can be a part of this campaign is to join the army of committed members of amac. It's interesting we spending bills every year. Keep the spending going in fact thirty trillion dollars in depth without a whole lot of bipartisanship. Going on you do not see that you. That all requires bipartisanship bipartisanship. Isn't that rare when it comes to spending other people's money what is rare politicians who are willing to say no even though they will be criticized and vilified and hate it in and by and through the mainstream media four. That's what's rare. That's what we need more of and so it was disturbing to me especially the the this last week when we republicans jumping on four to this thing they were voting on a bill mark they did not yet exist they fill you in the last segment. We sell this bill. Twenty seven hundred two pages for the first time last night about nine or ten o'clock at night and get you had lots of republicans joining together with all democrats last week voting. Not once but twice to proceed to the pill. They were voting for a bill. That did not yet exist. They were voting for nothing. I do not understand this other than to say a lot of politicians want to be liked. They really wanna be praised in the mainstream media and big. Don't get that senator. I don't remember the the democrat. I don't remember the democrats doing backflips. One trump wanted to spend a trillion dollars on infrastructure. Whatever it was supported or not. So they they don't they don't You know grease the skids but our guys do it really is. It's an amazing thing. And i oppose it all by the way. Always have because what people don't understand is the vast majority of infrastructure our local and state matters. Why is the federal government building walking in in utah or in florida. Or what. What what does that have to do with the federal government. It shouldn't you don't work my copy of the customer. I've i've scoured it. My copy of the constitution doesn't contain anything that gives us general infrastructure power. I think we'd probably have a an important role to play for the interstate highway system and maybe for some roads going through Federal land maybe through military basis and so forth Perhaps in the district of columbia or us territories out side of things that are distinctively. Federal that you can connect to an actual enumerated power congress. These are state and local matters and do what else mark. What do we make them. Federal we add twenty to thirty percent of the cost of the program just by making if federal the second. You add a dollar of federal spending to it. You've got to walk for this byzantine labyrinth of federal regulations. That makes it twenty to thirty percents sometimes more expensive just because it's federal so this is wrong. We know efficiencies in fact we lose efficiencies. The only advantage here is we can print money. The state can't and so what they're saying if they pass this is we're willing to print money and thereby impoverished poor middle class americans reverse robin hood effectively stealing from the poor and middle-class to give money to the rich bat shameful four hundred billion dollars in the last massive spending plan. According to the gao was either improperly spent criminally spent or his missing four hundred billion dollars. Nobody blinks by. Nobody brings it up. Nobody says empower. You know you're a senator who can vote nothing out of the executive branch. Nothing out of leadership. Nothing out of the media. It is shocking to me where we become. They're used to at least be people said. Maybe i'm not a social conservative. Maybe i'm not a hawk. But i am a fiscal conservative.
