And that's probably when you became much more aware of it. Yeah, but I wasn't wearing it in the sense that, oh, I need it. I just became aware of people who have money and what you don't. And for me, it was and having that someone handled it, I guess I didn't protect us from this kind of coveting money for the sake of money. A few things that happen throughout my life, I guess my father's early connection with the mass sheet. Then when I went to secondary school at harm that I was very fortunate that the second school I went to, there was a number of older Muslims that went there, marcella, who went on to become very active in our communities that left a lasting impression on me, you know, I wanted to do the same school as a barber and bob. "Got assembly hall with Indiana getting ready to take out of the Arkansas Razorbacks here today with this IT second round ball game on the line. Of course, the advancement to the third round of this. If you could come up with a victory, and Eric sure there's no question this Indiana basketball team. I really watch that today. I do think they proved that in the second half Indiana could most certainly packed it in after a disappointing first half in the first round. But these guys responded, I think if anything that tells you that they do not want to go home. Although it is a home game. Indiana wants to continue Vance in this tournament you can tell with how well they played in that second half. Now, I don't think that the hoosiers can afford to come out flat. In today's game. Like they did against Saint Francis. This is a whole nother ball game here against a really good Arkansas team in Arkansas team that struggled at times because I think there because of their youth throughout the SEC season. But this is a very capable team. In Arkansas, they've got some guys that can really flat out shoot the basketball. They're big and physical. They're fast. They like to score a bunch of points. I think for Indiana the test is gonna come early in Indiana come out early in this first half. Like they did in the second half against a Francis. Both of these teams will not have their leading score on the floor today. Daniel gaffer, the six eleven sap more has decided not to play in any games to protect his status as entering the draft for the NBA next year. So he is not playing period. Roleo Lankford has had a back injury ever since maybe the ten minute. Mark of the first half of the Ohio State ballgame he tweaked that back in issue in that Todd, and he has not been able to recover. Sufficiently even practicing at this point. So obviously, he's not available for this Indiana ball club that does change both of these teams in a significant way. It's an interesting dynamic. I it's you want to go back to the first game in the season. Don and say, okay. Here's what's going to happen. But these two teams are going to play completely different Indiana. It's going to be less predictable. Arkansas is going to be much less predictable. I think the battle here today between these two teams is gonna come inside the pain. I think that is the advantage for Indiana right now, Ken, Indiana dominate the boards dominate points in the paint. And when the game gets tied at the end who comes up with the big offensive rebounds. And I think without Daniel gathered in the game, that's Indiana's advantage. And I think all festively Indiana will be just fine without Romeo. Langford this backward. Devante green and outdoor playing the probably their most confidence that they've had all season long Indiana's less predictable offensively. They've got some guys that could shoot the basketball. And when all else fails still conduct the ball downloaded you mortgage which really in the second half. And that Saint Francis game was really what got Indiana that lead realizing mortgage, pretty good. Let's get him the ball inside. They still got that for Indiana. I think advantage goes to Indiana here without Daniel gathered in the ballgame Romeo Lankford still on the sidelines. I like Indiana on their home court with a bunch of guys right now, they're playing with a lot of confidence all pensively one of the critical factors in that. First batch up was Saint Francis is turnovers in Indiana. I think only had seven in that ball game. And that was really important today. It's even more important to take care of the ball. Because Arkansas so good at turning you over St Francis sat back and a two three zone. Most of the game some more oftentimes than not you're going to turn the ball over less. They were under sized playing more of a passive to three Indiana really didn't feel much pressure offense that Saint Francis didn't provide much pressure on the defensive end give me a different ball game here. Although Arkansas might mix up their defense is a different type athletes at Indiana. It's going to have to play. Against it. You're going to have to be ball strong. You're going to have to play fast. But most importantly make great decisions. And I'd be interested in this back for Tom compete. The first defender get inside the lane and then make the next past the DNA gets in a little bit of trouble when they get too deep into the lane. And they're they're forced enough. Contesting shots are getting blocked around the ram or turning the ball over gotta keep your eyes up and make that pass one step sooner than defense is expecting. You can get wide open looks against this Arkansas defense said aggressive defense. They want to turn your turn the ball over defensively going at the other end to freeze Indiana's backwards. Gotta be really great take care of the basketball. I couldn't agree with you more. That's about it. It's great news. It's about fifteen minutes to tip off brought to you by Geico. Fifteen minutes could save you fifty percents or more on car insurance. Visit Geico dot com to see how much you could say well, Eric as we look at these ball clubs, Arkansas beat Indiana. The first time seventy three to seventy two Indiana actually had a couple of chances. To win that contest with a couple of point blank. Looks at the rim right at the end of that ballgame couldn't pull it out. But I don't think that game. Well, I do I should say this in the sense of Indiana being able to win here today. They're going to have to play just as tough as they played in that contest. And then find a way to win it up by grade the effort in the second half in the first matchup was really good from Indiana, Daniel, gap, dominated the first half athletically all over the blocking shots back. Arkansas won't have that here today. Now, they gotta play Indiana in assembly hall, which is a different ballgame as well. I agree with you Indiana has got to play Justice hard as they did in that second half, just as tough. I think it's gotta be for forty minutes at Arkansas playing pretty well right now, here's one of the things that I think is going to be. So I think people don't realize. Indiana basketball, whether it's an IT or the NC double A, it's important and today proves it crowd standpoint because this crowd is dramatically good. I mean better than anything. I think a lot of people would have been granted the tickets were a little cheaper. It's festival seeing. So I to the Canebiere and stare out outside last night or day and were whole bunch of people standing out there when I got here at nine fifteen this morning. So when you look at it from that stay aboard this place is I'm not gonna say, it's a full house. But it's it's going to be in the neighborhood of what you would see maybe twelve thousand people. Yeah, I everything except the balcony right now has got some people in it. The balcony has some in a to over here to fill up. We've still got some time until tip. But I am really impressed with how good this crowd is Indiana basketball is a big deal in this state. Even in the NFC right now these fans wants to come out and see their team play, Indiana. If you think this doesn't matter right now, you're way wrong. It's the NIT. I know some folks are disappointed Indiana didn't make the NC double A tournament. But if this crowd tell you that this game matters eight most certainly matters. These players better understand that come out early in this game ready to play Arkansas is a different team than Saint says you've got to play great forty minutes to have a chance to win the coolest thing about it is it's families at it's a twenty dollar ticket and families came to that you can see so many little kids what their minds and their dads and people who don't normally get a chance to see Indiana basketball. That's what you're seeing here today. That's this the key, right? There isn't season ticket holders that are at this game. These are just people that are passionate and love Indiana basketball. You go out and ask ten people here in the crowds. Is this your first game? I bet at least half of them say. Yep. This is my first game. It's amazing. And it just tells you how important this game is in this program is to the state art. Our injury report brought to you by Indiana University health of the highest reforming our PD care. Just visit IU health dot org slash kgo hoosiers. And of course. In that vein Romeo Lankford out for the Cindy got a basketball team today. Once again with the back issue a race. Thompson may not play today because of the health issue he was dealing with up from by. We'll standpoint he was obviously not able to play in that ballgame. And Archie said he's probably not going to be available today. And then the other guy that's been dealing with injuries. Since the last game. Devante green has been playing really well of light people's dot able to practice until yesterday because of dealing with flu like symptoms. So it's gonna be interesting to see who does who was able to come out there and everything that they've got him this contest this afternoon..

"Jerry recco. Joe Boylan Paul Shrager with you assembly hall, and it has gone well on senior day for Indiana as they have stretched to a twenty two point lead with ten forty nine to go here in the second half. So what are your thoughts? It's your first visit to in the assembly hall. What do you think? Very nice. You like those walk up steps to the. I will say it's bigger than I thought it was on TV at it. Fair doesn't TV to me. It looks like a small gym arena. You walk in at the height and the depths of the blazer much bigger than it than it appears on television when you walk in. From one side you see those banners. Those national championship as five that makes. Brooke leader kissing the game for Rutgers. Let's just needs a spurt. Here's sits take out within nine fifty one forty nine seventeen four. Fifty one forty two case down low for Carter left lane guarded by Davis. Carter puts up almost put it in. He was fouled. He's got knocked to the ground. So shack Carter will go to the line is Davis picks up personal foul. That's his second. And so- shack Carter owes to the line. Sixty three percent of the season McDonald a lot of opportunities. You can imagine. Nobody will get to hear six team foul, Indiana eighteen or twenty six big ten. Got a nice looking stroke. First one is up in thanking check sixty eight forty seven. Carter's first point of the afternoon. Second free throw is good again to for to for shack. Carter sixty eight forty eight ten thirty five to play in the end of the ball at twenty point advantage. Venezia up the floor met by McConnell dribbles to his left back to the right? Get Jon Morgan a left side three. No good. And Davis, grabs the rebound. And then he's either foul though, steps on the sideline thought they were gonna call a foul. Peter kiss. So Rutgers gets it back. That's three possessions in their last four. They've taken ill advised threes. Indiana. I'm talking about. Coach Miller is red in the face about those last couple of shots. Also wanted a foul called on this. Good hustle by Peter officials said coach we called enough fouls. Why haven't they? Mcconnell nearside for Rutgers gets to the wing sort of top for Harper loves side. Omori beyond the arc calls for kids to come. Get the ball fakes the hand off ulcers dribble down low for shack corner. One on one with Dave is mortgage comes over ties about thousand. And you know, it's funny. Caused like this all well and good. But they weren't there. When the games a game. That's what I was gonna say. And at this point anybody, by the way in fairness Morgan did hit him in the forehead with his. So he will come out of the game picking up his fourth foul. But. At the end of the day. We fouls will look even. But boy when Indiana was making that run you couldn't breathe on them. Cry at time they doubled the quarter in the low post one in one opportunity for Carter any knocks dance. He's three for three from the line. And that was good foul. He did hit. No question about it. But the whistle blew before him. Actual. And. Big difference mortgage not playing much of this game. Like, he didn't play much of the first, no doubt. You see the impact? He had second free throw. Good to for to for shack Carter sixty eight fifty Rutgers now by eighteen nine fifty to play here in the second couple of stops Mortgaga the game here Davis at the left. Elbow guarded by Carter. And the ball off to finish tied up by McConnell goes for the steel now, they call a fallow McConnell. My goodness. There's just no flow at times. If you have a hard time listening this game is because the game has no flow. But just. Puts finish to the line shooting one and one. Still for Rutgers misses the foul shot high rebound, the flicked it into the hands of Carter. Here comes Peter kiss off the.

"Don Fisher for branch, McCracken corden, Simon Scott assembly hall of the campus in Bloomington. This is Indiana University basketball tonight, the lugers attempt to end the frustration of a four-game home cord losing streak as they welcomed their arch rival to the north. Laporta makers offer do university everybody. This is dot will over there exhort and Joe Smith, and what does continued to be a demoralizing month and a half men's basketball Indiana, suffered their tenth loss in the last eleven games on Saturday falling to Minnesota in Minneapolis eighty four to sixty three separately. There was virtually nothing positive about the performance at second year. Coach Archie Miller said some drastic changes must be made. Meanwhile, Purdue rank thirteenth and fifteenth at this week's national polls they bounce back from an eight game win streak breaking Boston marathon last Tuesday to wet Penn State salary seventy six sixty four the border makers are eighteen and seven on the year with an eleven and three Mark in the big ten that has just a half game behind league leaders, Michigan and Michigan state in the league standards. Eric sore coach motor spoke last night on his talk show about what he meant by his drastic changes comment following the medicine a loss, it essentially, he spoke about communication, the just being that this group could only salvage what's left of this year. They air it all out so to speak, and he indicated that happened and the two days of practice leading into this game have been outstanding. Yeah. Well, you know, Don desperate times calls for desperate measures. And I think for this Indiana team. Losers of ten of their last eleven whatever you can do to try to turn this around is what needs to be done Indiana's gonna be playing a really good team. That's eleven and three in league play and are looking to try to get up at ten championship under their belt in Indiana's got to play the role of spoiler tonight. You gotta play much better. Then you have not only on the road. But on your home court. That's one thing that's been if anything more disappointing to me is how Indiana's played at home the last few volumes. Not taking care of home court is a good way to finish at the bottom of the league. And that's exactly what's happened Indiana here on this. This losing streak will call it loses a ten in the last eleven am played well at home or on the road, and that's got to change here tonight. Well, something has to change. That's for sure. And there's no question that Archie is looking for answers. I don't think that this ball game tonight will dictate what happens the rest of the year. But it could very well be a major factor in what does happen the rest of the year based on how this be performs in this game. I'm I'm a firm believer in momentum and confidence in a team as the season goes on there's ups and downs. And it can sometimes be one game that kind of turns the whole momentum of season, and that's very well could be here tonight. Now, Indiana, Don across the board guys have got to play better. And they've got to play tougher and they've got to be much better at the offensive end. Those are the simple things that need to improve. When it comes to communicating and then defensive schemes and offense a plays all of that stuff. I think is in the background. What's first and foremost says you gotta play much harder than the other team. But you gotta bring energy on a consistent basis. And that is what's been disappointing. When Indiana has not played well times it's been because they haven't played as hard as the other team and as a fan as a coaching staff as a guy that's been in Bloomington for thirty four years. That's what you'd hope to see night in and night out is the effort that you would expect from an Indiana basketball teams beat a really good team. You got to play with that type of energy and effort in tonight. If this is gonna turn around I agree with you against your rival on your home court after a disappointing blow out to Minnesota on their home port. I think it starts with energy and effort here tonight for Indiana tried to turn their season around. Yeah. We don't see that energy and effort tonight. Then I think this team is pretty much given up the ghost. And that's that's sad to say because they still can control their own destiny in many respects. In each games a new game. So you never want to look at one game and say all they say, but if you can't get up and play hard against her rival on your home court after getting blown out on the road against them. I don't know how you can get up and get ready for a game. Right. So this is the game for Indiana to show who they are. And I'm interested to see how they respond with the way that they've played. They've had the ability all season long to play. Well, they've beaten some really good teams at different points in the season. This is one you gotta get if you want to have any pride in yourself and then turn the season around. I look at this one as a as a nice starting point for this team. I do to today's brigade show.

"Quarterback back to Simon Scott assembly hall, were Indiana will take the Iowa Hawkeyes here tonight the Hawkeyes coming into this ball game with a seventeen five record. They are six and five of the big tat all five of their losses of come in league play but all five of their ball games for the most part of that against all five of their losses. I should say that against the outstanding team so far in play thus far this season. Are scouting report is always is brought to you by Nissan and Iowa's head coaches. Fran mccaffery now this night's ball club. They had a rough go. But last year they were just fourteen in nineteen and finished four and fourteen tied for eleventh in copper, explain brand has brought the same ball club, essentially, with the exception of maybe one or two guys back from last year and turn things around. They had a really good start to their year. We had a chance to talk to Fred about his wall club and his thoughts on this ball game tonight earlier tonight. Here's our conversation. Brad your basketball team playing really good basketball and a great win over Michigan. We can't play much better than we played in that game fish, you know, start to finish. We we've been really good most games, but we've had some periods in those games where we're not so good. That was by far most consistent effort at both ends. You're really getting some good play out of your veterans, Luca Garza. I know he's just a south more. But it feels like he's been there longer already does. Yeah. He's he's really stepped his game up. I mean, he he was the MVP of the two K classic. And you're really playing as well as we had hoped coming off surgery over the summer. But then he sprained his ankle. He was out miss three games. Played just a few minutes in the next couple of games. Now that he's healthy. Again. He's putting up about twenty points a game. And you put that together with Tyler cook. It's a tough to obviously, that's a big key for your ball club. Both online players, aren't they? That. And the emergence of Ryan cleaners do be able to rotate to three of them because cook was out for two games to road victories, northwestern and Penn State and create a really stepped up with both of those games. You're getting such good offense you play from his shooting standpoint from outside. I mean, just about everybody in your teeth knocked down to three. You know, and that's how we put the team together. And you always hope that that's the case. You know, I thought we had a great three point shooting team last year. And it wasn't the case. You know, we were pretty good. But not what what I thought we'd be Joey's camps big boost their bullheaded. Of course, you expect that he led the big ten in threes last year, but it's the other guys. Isaiah moss has really stepped up the bay. She daily nNcholas bears really having a spectacular. Fifth year. And that's made a big difference about your defensive play. You're looking like, you're playing a lot more different types of is in ballgames. We're we're gonna mix it. You know, we're going to place a man places own press a little bit change zones. Trying to keep the other table balance? And is so far this year. It's been effective talk a little bit about your impressions of Indiana. I really liked their team. You know, it's been a strange year for them. They were so good starting the season twelve into. But then you have a couple of guys out. You know, next thing, you know, you're you're losing close games. And you were winning close games as sometimes is the difference. Get their people back. Go on the road. And it'd be Michigan state was as you know, is really hard to do up there. I thought I thought their defense in that game as well. As our office was difference. She in this ball game for Iowa. Both teams want abroad. So you want to try to win the battle of transition. And you got to be able to defend that they've got some serious weapons, you know, with with Romeo and Morgan Davis agreed or back. I think some of the other guys are playing real Smith. I mean, they've got some pieces that are really playing. Well, that'll be able to contain the dribble. They're so good off the dribble. They've got speed. And quickness was going to be able to keep in front one. Final thought big ten this year. Unbelievably tough, no matter who you play. Do. I said that media data by far this is my ninth year that the best it's been top to bottom. But I think we're seeing that. And that is Fran McCaffrey has retired to them about this match up with Indiana tonight brand again and his ninth season with the club. He's had some really good years with the hawk is. And this is another one of those the seasons are scouting report is always is brought to you by Nissan court. It's the job of the defense to protect the rim on the.

"Discounts. When you look around. You might feel pride is in short supply these days. Everything's being disrupted, but Ford has been around for a hundred and fifteen years, and we know the only constant is change disruption. Yeah. It's what we do every day. You see we still take pride in what we build and how we build we even take pride in taking pride in the world could use more of that right now. Because if you don't believe in what you're doing. Why do it at all Bill Ford Brown? At Scott assembly hall, Michigan to the. With eleven minutes point, two seconds on this basketball. Your business is only as strong as rented at choose a partner who can customize your internet needs. Bill Bill for you. While we're getting down to crunch time here on sixteen point deficit Indiana with just over eleven minutes in the animated push to start this half. Michigan was founded and has gotten this back backup is a comfortable margin. I think Indiana they're gonna make another push try again this game. It's gotta come sooner. Rather than later this next four minutes is absolutely crucial for Indiana to slowly climbed back into this game four minutes segments, though. I mean, there's four minutes until next TV timeout another four and then in the fourth. I think the end has gotta eat into this lead into one of these TV timeout here otherwise going to run out on Indiana. They've done a nice job here in the second half. But as you mentioned earlier right now destroyed baskets not nearly good enough at both ends. Now, you put yourself at a fifteen point hole at halftime down eighteen a couple of times in the first half. Tonight. You come back to start the second half data single digits. The crowd gets into it. You're all excited coupla things. Don't go your way in the next thing. You know, your daddy. Again. Michigan done a nice job. And they responded I've got some really good players. And they're very well coached that doesn't explain Indiana's offense in the first half we've seen, but when you get both working against you play against a really good team. That's executed. Very well. Gene, struggling Indiana struggled, you see these types of deficits here. But I'm telling you what India has not done yet. We've got an opportunity here to eat into the sleep flag for breaks the ball across the gotta by Matthew. He takes it to the left gives it to Jawad right back to Romeo. He drives. It downright spins. Turns fires a shot. Joe rebound. Let's go to belong. I believe to Michigan Romeo's gotta be so frustrated right now that's one of six for the game is still stuck on three points. Michigan's done a nice job keeping the ball in front making him finish over outstretched hands. Another tough shot from Romeo plank appears pool with the basketball feats task he goes down to the corner. Matthews Matthews spins away from Roberts. Couldn't get away from Roosevelt out delivers for three and he here. Isaiah livers first field goal the ballgame. His boy three and now this fifty three to thirty four a nineteen point lead for Michigan here. In the corner of Justin Smith. He fires three. Justin Smith Braves baskets with livers at the other end five points now for Justin. Fifty three thirty seven Indiana needs more than one of those two draft. They meet a bunch right now. Here is Matthew. So the ball left side drives to the free throw line forces up a shot high off the rim. No Zach Roberts clears the boy, he brings it across the timeline now finish takes it outside. The Justin Smith for the past Justice Smith rise right down low lays it up. Justin scores that the ram. He's got seven three to thirty nine. Nine fifty four. Trying to get back into it here. Brooks gives delivers livers, Brexit it. Back out to the top circles back to the right Brooks Brooks holds now drives to the top slides slides back to the right clothes left wing to Charles Mathews. You hold than he drives down to the baseline back to ski for a three. Try any. John test. Part of the game. Another three point. Fifty six to thirty nine talk about taking a hard out here. Dear is Justin Smith gives it to rob Denison, Tennessee. Look he goes to Smith. Right. He dries throws it outside the mcroberts for a three try off the rim. No good. Find a chase it down going gonna belong. The michigan. Romeo. Got the last touch on it. Here's bras Neko's coming back in the ball game. Who's going out? Jordan pool will check the sideline. So we'll Matthews. Burke stays with Simpson livers, bras Davis and testing. Fifty six thirty nine of the school board, Indiana's dance seventy nine four left in this way. And this is the time got to start taking stops just making basket but stops here Simpson. Slides right. Tennessee. Backout? Till the child inside through the hazards. Literally, right. There was hands off a cubs for Romeo inside. Turns puts it up. Lakers got his boy, easy points in transition for Indiana. You turn over Michigan. You can get some easy. That's the first one. I remember in a awhile Indiana's. Maybe we'll get easy bucket. Caskey goes left delivers livers holds I'm away libbers back outside the Brooks test top of the key. And he gives Brooks works. Looks lost the handle got it back Brooks. Now. Fire a sixteen footer and gifts as well. Back to Janice. The a forty watt. Here's Romeo Lankford after Justin Smith he gives the fantasy. Rob dribbles into the top gives it up the Langford Lanker takes it back to the right length for now works Xavier Simpson. Takes it into the lane pulls up puts it up. Mrs. It got his own rebound must've again, bras Vegas brings it back. The other way fines Lela Brooks on the left side Brooks now. Xavier simpson. Indiana down seventeen the clock run down seven thirty five left off the bras gives it out the task. You goes left side delivers livers pulls up hands. It off the bras Vegas. He drives inside lost the handle scramble for it. And there on the court. What are we got called her looks like Cassie was on the line out of bounds underneath their shows that loose ball? But he had his back against the baseline gonna have a ball. Well, it was seven twenty two to go. However, they're trailing by seventeen and things are starting to look bleak. "Back to the Simon Scott assembly hall for the final time tonight vicinity at a basketball team struggles and finds itself losing its third straight ballgame. They fall brass sixty six fifty one here tonight. Let's face facts here. The brassy is a really good basketball team. And we knew it was going to be a tasha coming into this time test tonight. We're just thinking then think the hoosiers get down to the first half again. And one of those situations where they just continue to struggle when they heavy slow starts. Now. It's becoming a major problem. I agree Nebraska is a good team. I think that plus the combination Indiana did not play their best basketball. Either end of the core we equates to a fifteen point loss. Right. So this is one that you'd expect Indiana to win you know, I coming in. I would have guessed Indiana won this game. But you gotta give credit to Nebraska. They've got experience that got some good players. They executed their game plan flawlessly tonight and got a very good victory on the road and the big ten. It's a tough place to play and win here. An assembly hall. Nebraska did a heck of a job here tonight crushed, and you got to give them a lot of credit and the biggest problem tonight. Archie kind of summarized at best lack of energy, not really looked like they were tired lethargic basketball team for you can't play that way, especially at home at especially against somebody this quality towers first couple offensive possessions. I made the comment that Indiana looks like their jogging rather than sprinting screens aren't nearly as cuts weren't as Chris the passes weren't as Chris I was evident from the from the Geico just as coach Archie Miller said this team was just a little bit less than what we're used to seeing. Both ends of the court. They didn't have their a game. Little maybe tired. I don't know what it is. But very evident from.

"Backyard assignment Scott assembly hall. It is a Brassica sixty two Indiana forty nine three twenty three lap. Well, let's let's take something really special. Brandy Etta come back. No, all I want. You. Go are being make plans to see your team out you play every game season plan. Your epic Karbi road trip. Go are being dot com. Only fourteen fouls for Indiana here in the second half. You have some fouls to give I would expect coach Miller to be very aggressive here. -fensive some full four traps. Tried to get Nebraska to turn the ball over don't be afraid to foul here. If you're Indiana because you might get lucky and official not calling and you got some fouls to give you got us. Do something here defensively turn the momentum. I just think it's been too easy for Nebraska really at both ends offensively. You look at the Cornhuskers able to move the ball around the perimeter bounce pass the ball into the post whenever they want in the pick and roll action has got some really good looks. I just don't think Indiana's had that edge defensively. Like we've seen in games past offensively. Indiana struggled as well. I think they've been kind of one dimensional trying to get the ball to the rim bresca. Has played the drive, and it's been a struggle for Indiana. Only twelve three point shot attempts. Really, none of those have been rhythm threes. A lot of times it's been shot clock. Winding down trying to force something up. Both ends here. Indiana has got to do something different. I agree with you. I don't think the game's over. This is gonna have to be something dramatic here for the hoosiers to back into this ball game, Indiana so far in the second half actually hitting fifty percent. But just thirty nine percent for the game now and the big story right now is that Indiana's if they score it's usually inside it's not from outside at all. And they're not knocking down threes at all. So the free throw line right now Rubio Lankford steps up to it with sixteen points. Crowd. Quiets Lankford fires up the free one and a shortage in he missed his last the last time if he's up a he misses first when short just like he did that one anti. Winces through that. I went up there after it hit the front of the rim. Second tossed by Langford is good. And he's got seventeen now. But Indiana's trailing by twelve and with three twenty two to go. They need to get a stop every single time down the floor. And they've gotta make points at the other end Palmer with it. Throws it the cart. He gives left side to Watson Watson holds and throws at top of the lane. The Copland it goes, right? Tatavous shower. Alad drives on devante green inside throws up a shot. And I got a call. Another foul. Rob Fitoussi just picked up his second ball screen. The ball screen the right wing. Devante green is a defendant on you've got to force Alan to go into that. Ball screen, shading them the wrong side. Alain rejects them all stream straight line drive on the baseline way too easy. Free throw on the way by Thomas. Allen is good. He's got his night part of the game. The hoosiers with three oh five ago or down thirteen and could be fourteen ballot hits number two. And he doesn't miss many from the stripe. He's eighty eight percent of the year. And that one drops these guys ten point of the ball game. And at is down fourteen second time, I've been down. I think fourteen in the second half across the time line. This is Rubio Langford dumps it out the Justice Smith. He goes in the corner does actor Robert lost the handle at Indiana has turned it over for the thirteenth card. That's another unforced turnover really struggled against us. One three one half court defense from Nebraska coach miles has done a nice job. Putting that in against Indiana team. Here's Paula will. It takes it outside the Robie Roby now gives off to Allen who flips it back left Palmer. I'm a left wing were the three on the way, it's off the rim. No, go to John. Morton clears the boy before comes the fantasy with two and a half ago. See left side pulls up looks throws it out the Romeo. He'll let go along. Long three its way off the Mark and the rebound taken out of there by Roby and the foul Kalman's Akra Roberts. Second foul on back Robertson. Indiana now is digging a hole they're not going to be able to get out of now. It's not looking good. It's the same old same old here in the second half Indian really struggling to get good quality looks even that three there by Romeo. Langford seemed out of rhythm didn't seem like he was comfortable to take it. Looks like Nebraska is gonna take this ball out of bounds rather than shooting. That's only the team foul for Indiana. Exactly. So no, no shots will be taken the bad comes to Robie Roby will bring it up Roby. Harassed out there by John gives it up to Glenn Watson near midcourt robbed him. Watson takes it back to the right down low. He goes to the baseline. Gets inside and scores. I don't know what he saw there. But he saw something and he was able to get underneath that. He gets us fifteen point of the game. That's going to probably do it sixty six to fifty John sponsors the ball inside. It goes to Justin Smith, but the ball was kicked. I think a lot of bats, Indiana. That would have been an easy layup, but nothing is going right for are. You not able to good break. Romeo will inbound gets it in it comes into your mind. Morgan Justice script they whip around the perimeter and Zach Roberts. Fires up a rare shot it's best and the rebound comes off to Isaac Copeland. Indiana's pretty much in the world will hurt now. And they know it just backing up here. No pressure from Indiana Nebraska's walking the ball up the court. Not looking good for Indiana here. The fans are starting to walk up the aisles they're not starting to that happened. No, you're right. Now here goes Palmer between the circles, drives it left down low kicks in the corner. Allen got away with a little move their misses the jump shot. Marie backups off McGraw Bert's off to Rubio lifer. Lankford drives it right data's quick. As he can go throws up a shot and draws the foul and he pulls up lane. I don't know what happened there. But he's kind of moving funny out his legs seems to be okay, though. All the following is a Copeland Madison. So he files out of this ball, Jamie finishes tonight with a very solid fourteen point effort, right at his average Romeo has had trouble tonight, finishing Nebraska has played him very physical. He's gone to the free throw line a lot from only five of fourteen from the field normally Romeo's right around that fifty percent or better for the game because he's able to finish the well tonight. He struggled a bit Romeo at the line, seventeen points. I'm the evening free throw on its way. And this one's good. He's got eighteen points. Go forget to stay with us after the final hard for the community cars dot com post game show with coaches comment statistics and stores. All brought to you by community cars dot com. "Don Fisher from branch McCracken quarterback. Assignments got assembly hall on the campus in Bloomington. This is Indiana, University basketball this evening. The hoosiers will attempt to break a two game losing skid in big ten play. As they walk them. The corn huskers of Nebraska university. Everybody. This is Don Fisher law with Eric sewer and Joe Smith windy, Anna ended a frustrating pension for starting game slowly on Friday night. They roared do a fourteen point lead on the road at Maryland. But the final minutes of the first half Terrapins spot back to cut the hoosiers, usually eight ten a blister with a sixteen to two second-half start. The gave the turps a lead. They would never relinquish Wooding. Seventy eight to seventy five feet dropped Indiana's record at twelve and four diminish their league bark to three and two one night. Earlier the Brassica was ending its own two game losing streak with a seventy to sixty four home victory over scrappy Penn State and Lincoln the Cornhuskers under Sabatier headband, Tim miles, duplicated. I use eleven to pre-january record. But split the early December big ten games that have their copper lead. You're at two and three the huskers have a veteran squad with good athleticism type club and size, and they're comparable to Indiana in that athletic and size. We'll Eric sewer. We knew this first full month of league play for the hoosiers would be a challenge which it's proving to be after a pair of top road losses. And while it's still quite early in this big ten season. I think those road defeats add some pressure to winning these games on once whole bore. Would you agree? I would agree for the team each and every game, right? You lose one on the road. You feel a little bit more pressure at home. I think for fans nervous might be the word, right? Indiana has played well at times, especially on the road, Don, but not been able to come away with the Victor anthem first half against Maryland was the best first-half aside for maybe the Marquette game that Indiana has played up to this point the second half, which is completely different story. And I think it's going to be the team in the big ten that wins the close games on the road is ultimately going to be the big ten champion. Now, Michigan's got a nice comfortable lead here. But still to your point so early in the big ten season anything can happen every single game from this point moves moving forward. Counts for these teams. So yeah. A little added pressure for Indiana coming back home against a good Nebraska team after a disappointing loss at Maryland. Interestingly.

Date set for 2018 Hoosier Hysteria

"It's August. So expect the I you basketball news to slow down a bit. Now with summer workouts and the July recruiting period over though it won't be long before the activity ratchets up. Again, what with Hoosier hysteria now just eight weeks away on September twenty ninth on that night at Simon Scott assembly hall, we will see the official. I debuts of heralded freshman Romeo Langford, Jerome hunter, rubber finish Dmitri Anderson, and Jake Forster less than a year ago at last year's Hoosier hysteria event, Langford, hunter, finicky and Anderson received raucous receptions from the assembly hall, faithful win in a brilliant little strategic touch by Archie Miller and his staff. The players were escorted across McCracken court to their seats behind the bench. Each player got to experience what it's like to feel the low from Hoosier nation this year. Another handful of highly regarded Hoosier recruits will get to experience the same thing. Time will tell if the McCracken court escort becomes a recurring Hoosier hysteria event. But regardless Indiana fans will undoubtedly find a way to let prospects like trace Jackson Davis, kion Brooks, and others know just how much they are wanted in Bloomington and speaking of Jackson Davis. He made the biggest news over the weekend when he tweeted out his final six schools and then laid out his visit plans in discussions with several recruiting reporters as expected. Indiana was on the list along with big ten foes Purdue Michigan state. And I awoke plus Wake Forest and UCLA Jackson Davis plans to visit all six schools telling core Evans of rivals that he will make official visits to UCLA Iowa Wake Forest, Indiana and Michigan state with Purdue receiving an unofficial visit thereafter. It is widely assumed that Indiana is the clear front runner in this recruitment, but clearly, Jackson Davis wants to at least explore his options and lean all the way into the recruiting process as well. He should. Jackson Davis has a five star talent from the state of Indiana and Archer. Miller and his staff have made him a clear priority for the class of twenty nineteen. He knows he can commit Indiana when he's ready. So why not experience some other campuses to be certain while all Indiana fans would love to have Jackson Davis's commitment in the fold included so that he can anchor the much anticipated class of twenty nineteen and possibly attract other top players. The center grove, big man with the NBA bloodlines only gets to have this experience and make this decision. Once he shouldn't does the process as much as he desires and do whatever he thinks he needs to do to be certain. He's making the right call. We'll all just continue waiting patiently hoping that he decides Bloomington is the place for him to be because in state players like trace Jackson Davis are the kinds of players around which banner worthy teams are built.
