"And run and I don't know. It's just going to be a fun style of basketball with bigger players. For South Carolina, across the board. Across the board. Well, you know, they're going with what's happening in basketball, which is getting longer. Everyone's getting longer, right? The point guards are bigger. I think ziya cook is probably the smallest player that's going to play major minutes on this team. And as chiquita points out, what's up chiquita? Chiquita. Raven Raven Johnson had a nice game. 17 minutes to 9 points, four of ten from the field. Most importantly, four turn four assists zero turnovers. Also force steals. So really great start for her. You know, this is kind of her first major experience. And if she can get ready early in the season, they're going to have some tests. Yeah. Then they're going to probably be good for the file for. That's great. As we have seen in the past. So that's South Carolina shouts. We got our South Carolina fix here. I'm going to throw two at you and rapid fire. You let me know which one you want to talk about. Ashley Jones, 28 points versus Cleveland state, nice game for her. Olivia miles, 17 points, ten rebounds, 6 assists against northern Illinois, I know it's not a big game, but that's a really nice nightline. Thanks so much she's going to do all season long. So Ashley Jones, I love you miles. Did you catch any of those? In the same way that I caught all the other ones. But yes. It's so much basketball to start. It's time. It's ten, but I love it. But Olivia miles, let's just start there because I mean, her ability to shine at a young age and to play with the awareness of a senior, right? Her ability to see and survey the floor is masterful. Like she is just spectacular with the decisions that she is the Lake. In a snap of a finger, like she's making these quick quick reads, whether it be for her or for our teammates, like, she just gets it. She understands the game so well. And it's really impressive to see. She had 6 deals in this game. I did not see that. 6 steals? Now your mind? Yeah, that's what I'm saying. She's like always on. I mean, there's never a time where she's like, oh, let me take this playoff. I'm tired. I just want to just go ahead and let my teammate get it. No, she's like, let's do this. And you have to appreciate that. What did you say? She's just special basketball over there. She's so good. And so cool, I feel like, you know, the rec specs are gonna make a slight comeback. 'cause she wears her little goggles. So I think there may be may catch on a little bit more as we've seen some other players do. So Olivia miles, tremendous performance. As you Jones, we'll talk about you throughout the whole season, don't worry about it. Yeah, she's phenomenal too. I got one more player to talk about. One thing you're very familiar with. Georgetown open versus Salem, 5.6 rebounds, three blocks, and a steal. Heck of a defensive performance, obviously you were there. What were your impressions of Georgetown and your daughter? Yeah, you know what? I thought that it was, it was a strong game. I think they have more solid depth on the perimeter this year. Albeit with a freshman point guard, but I think they have good chemistry. They had good rotations. Brie is like, she's recovering from a little bout of tendonitis in her foot. So she's just so she's only been cleared for like a week, you know, prior to that game against Salem. So, you know, she's just making her way back, but I thought that she looked great. I thought that, you know, a rhythm is getting there. I know she wanted to knock down, you know, a couple more opportunities that he had. They were good looks though. So you can't be mad at it. And, you know, they had a scrimmage against duke and she knocked down a couple threes, got an M1, made all of her shots in that game. And did really well. So she's coming along. But really plays with her board work and her blocks and the one block led to a run out, which was, you know, I had to stand up with my fat head of three. And my mom was standing up and she always points to the sky. It's really fun. But yeah, it was, it was just fun to be back in the gym, right? Yeah. But she's doing well. They play temple tomorrow in Philly. That's the next game. And so, you know, it's a progression. So she's doing well though. All right. Go breathe. Court size favorite player by far. I do want to go around to my teams, William Mary, Aaron Dickerson Davis, got her first win, 15 points over navy, there we go. Get the first W on the board for the tribe. Let's see what Marilyn blew out someone. Actually, let's say Marilyn for just one second. Okay. Okay, go ahead. We'll get some oil. I do want to mention Miami. Somehow Miami. Absolutely, Miami has been targeted by the NCAA in the past for many different things,

"I will say it has more of a smaller slider big so I think they were able to take advantage of those matchups and when that game and get to the elite 8 for the first time program history and I think the other thing to bring up with, create in those like most of these players are sophomores, you know, Lauren Jensen, who we all know her name from her game against Iowa, her former team. She's going to be back. And pretty much everyone in this roster is going to be back and I think they have a real chance to compete in the big east. Maybe not for the biggest championship because we all know that you can't win the biggest championship most years. But they have a chance to compete and maybe even get back to this point. I'd be surprised if they got back to elite 8, but sweet 16. Hey, I think that's there for them because the way they play is just extremely hard to prepare for because there's no set place, right? Like what I was saying. There's no set place. What happens when you're trying to scout these teams? In the torment, as you look at their set plays, you look at their ETFs, you look at their most of their half court sets and you look at how they defend and transition and all that stuff. You can see how you can attack them and see how they're going to attack you. What the team that doesn't run set plays, the thing you gotta tell your team is, well, you gotta just stick on people. And if you're not like South Carolina, who has athletes with length and speed at every single position can pressure the ball, it's really tough to guard them. It's just really, really tough. It's really tough to prepare for them. And it's hard to figure out how they're going to play against your read, right? Because they're just reading the defense rather than running a set play. So it's like almost understanding what am I showing them. And then what are they taking from it? And I think almost impossible to do with a one day turnaround. So yeah, I mean, I really, really just I really like creighton, hoping to Tatum Rambo. It's one of their seniors, Peyton Broadsky is another one. I came away really, really impressed with Tatum. She's a nice point guard. She runs the offense really well. She ends up with a lot of assist. They lead the country and assisted shot rate and assist a Turner of ratio. Which is amazing. But I just came away with really impressed by her as like a person and someone who has really great presence and can really dissect games right after they happen. I'm not sure most players do that or maybe they think a lot of players could do that. A lot of players don't do that. And I think she was just really cool. So it was cool to see her up close and see how she interacts with the team. And it will be sad that she's not there with this team next year, especially when they could take a next step. But we'll see we'll create an I'm just excited that I got to watch that offense. I really want to dig into them in the summer now that their season is over. Let's stick here and talk a little bit about Iowa state. It wasn't Iowa state's best game. To be honest, I don't think they played, particularly well, they shot 38% from the field. They were 8 of 25 from three, which is just how I would stay by basketball, Bill Finley has had them shooting well this year. He's put them in good positions to win. You know, I think they just had a bad night, ran into a team that was better than them. I think they got frustrated and trying to stop that offense and it rubbed off on their defense a little bit. I mean, I'm sorry. They rubbed off on their offense that they were having struggling on defense. So, you know, I think it's not something that we're going to take a ton away from going forward. I think the lesson is that they're going to, they are going to struggle with some teams that maybe are from obviously Koreans on mid major, but creighton is a smaller, major team, right? They are not, they don't have the size that a lot of these other teams have. I think I would say it's kind of struggled with that because even though they do have some nice size, their players aren't sturdy, right? They're not huge. So we'll see what happens with iOS. I think the big question for them right now is actually Jones coming back. I don't know, Ashley Jones, but I feel like there's a possibility that she will come back for another year. Iowa state obviously her sister is there. Obviously she's the best player in that school's history. I talked to some of the Iowa state media media folk shouts of Connor, Jeff, and Tommy, my guys, and they're in Dylan too. We want to make sure I mention all of them. And they're really plugged into the program. And they seem to think that she is coming back just because of her relationship with the school and the fact that she may want to accomplish more, I think with the sweet 16 is nice, but she may have more on her agenda and I'm not entirely positive about her as a first round pick ehler. So it may she may come back. And she comes back, hey, Iowa stay is going to be right back to where they were this year, which is close to the top of the big 12. And trying to get to the elite 8, which they probably felt like they should have been in this season, but creighton creating took that away from them. So yeah, well, we'll see what happens with the Iowa state. They're a good team. Shots Emily Ryan, Emily Ryan. Played her guts out. 40 minutes, 22 points, ten of 16 from the field to a 5 from three, in addition to all of this, she had 8 rebounds, 6 assists, one steal. Incredible game from her. Lexi, the nars gate had no less than stellar game and Ashley Jones were really struggled, but the defense was like totally keyed in on her. So not that surprising, but Emily Ryan went off. Absolutely went off. So I think everyone's coming back for Iowa state. Pretty sure..

"If we want to start in Greensboro with number one overall, South Carolina, does anybody have anything wild happening in the Greensboro region? That is my most, I know why you picked this region to start. That's a pretty boring region for me. My sweet 16 out of that region are literally the one through four seats. That's how boring my Greensboro region looks. I have created I have created an over not over Iowa. I have created over Colorado as spicy as it gets for me. A mice close as I have is what I just said is it an upset. And if you see a USF over Miami and that may end up being a stupid pic. Miami looks really good in the ACC attorney. But I also really like South Florida. They've had some cool wins this year. Yeah. Yeah, that one I just went Miami. I feel like that's the 8 9 is annoying to me because at least ten 7 I know I'm like oh I'm picking the ten 8 9s I'm like oh I'm just gonna pick it wrong no matter what I do. I was close to Kurt and over Colorado, but Colorado's downfall got really trendy to where I decided to give I agree but neither of those teams are beating Iowa. But creighton's gonna lose to Iowa second. I have Stephen F Austin beating North Carolina, which I don't know how popular that's gonna be and then I love playing winter Dayton who just lit up all tonight. I actually have no beating Georgia. Okay. So they're at 11 C that have getting through. But then like you, I do have no upsets from then into the sweet 16 round where I do have South Carolina and Arizona and Iowa state Iowa. I have Iowa losing that game. Me too. So you and I both have to we both have South Carolina. Iowa state in the elite 8. That is what I have, yes. Okay, interesting. I do have Iowa. I have IO over Iowa state. I actually was very close to taking whoever one that Georgia Dayton set up. I'll put it this way. I nearly took depaul as like an over Georgia and if that happened, I would have in my mind probably kept that narrative and put them over Iowa state. I'm not as high on them as others. Jason's got North Carolina over Arizona heading into the sweet 16. So he's so he's got one, two, three, 5, 5. And then he also has Iowa state over at North Carolina is a lot better than people are giving him. Yeah. They are quietly one of the better teams. And I believe nobody's talking about. I believe the middle of the PAC 12 is weaker than we're giving it credit for seed wise. I think they give the pact to a more respect than I would have. Steve is the only one of us who has Iowa getting to the lead 8. I'm gonna be rooting for Iowa because I want the most amount of Caitlyn Clark in this tournament possible. But I thought that was gonna be a spicy pig at three of the four of us are picking against him. I went with Ashley Jones and Iowa state because Ashley Jones, I feel like could easily I think that she is looking at this as her last ditch effort to make a case to be like a top three or four, maybe a top three pick in the upcoming draft. And so that played into my mind. Sorry, Steve, I cut you off. I want to hear what you said. No. I vibe with a lot of what you're saying. I mean, Ashley Jones could always get COVID again and that could make it tough. That's true. You know, Iowa Iowa state stolen from Iowa earlier in the season. And I think we learned from some of the performances from Iowa, especially over Indiana and Michigan. That certain things can stick in her craw and she doesn't let that release it until she's able to, I think she is very upset she hasn't had an opportunity until now if I can remember correctly to avenge that loss. And so in my head, I just go like, that might be like, because first of all, South Carolina is going to be the final four. I don't think anyone for a good pile is questioning that. Now I didn't question them in the SEC tournament either and that didn't work out. So we'll see. So I see that sweet 16 magic against Iowa might be like the next definitive killing Clark like star performance could be. I think she wants that win over Iowa state bad enough that that's the night she we'll see her go like 45 and 12. And I'm not all so calling out like not overlooking Monica's nano who and I text you guys this during the Big Ten tournament is currently my favorite basketball player in the world. I absolutely she's probably by my estimation the best big in the game right now. I love watching her play. Cam I am in Isabella are both given Monica's major love in the chat right now. She rules if you want to play as a big at any level in basketball, she her footwork, her technique is spot on. I've never, it's been a long time since I've seen someone who isn't overwhelmingly size wise. Like isn't that much taller than the field or whatnot? Like so fluidly get to the ball in so few steps, you can actually realistically count her dribbles through the day through the night. Because she's had nights where she scored in 15 points and dribbled 12 times. Like, that's how good her footwork is under the basket. She's so much fun to watch. So like, the Big Ten tournament I loved because a lot of people got to know Monica's and I don't know even more than Caitlyn Clark, which obviously I'm a huge we're all big Caleb Clark fans here. But just that team has such a fun relationship and that's really going to be less hints. They'll play together. So I see that happening. Now, Iowa state maintaining their momentum and finding their way in the elite 8 against South Carolina. I'm not going to say that would surprise me either. Right. So good basketball team that people. I don't know if this makes sense, but I'm more bet against Iowa than I did bet on Iowa state. I just don't think Iowa has what it takes to win enough. Big games in a row. Right. And so I do I had to take them out at some point. Still wouldn't surprise me if they got to the lead 8, but in terms of the Greensboro region, does anybody not have South Carolina coming out of this region? That was my next question was, we've.

"But up next, I'm jumping over to the American athletic conference. The American athletic conference has a couple of really good teams, namely UCF, South Florida, tulane, but there is one thing that you should know, which is that when you see F mashed up with South Florida, they won both games when they matched up with tulane, they won both games because UCF has this conference figure out. They are 22 and three on the season. They win a lot and they do not lose often, and I think that's going to continue on. I'm picking UCF to win the American athletic conference. And with that, I am now going to turn it over to Kyle, who is going to give us his pick for the winner of the big 12 conference. Next, up the big 12 conference. Now this conference is stacked everybody in this conference can do some damage with maybe the rare exception of TCU and Oklahoma state. They're just not that good. This conference tips off. March 10th through the 13th. So make sure you're watching for that. There's a lot to be said here. For me personally, I think this boils down to, I think that obviously some big names are going to be playing in this some first round draft picks in the WNBA. We're going to have Melissa Smith, Ashley Jones. There's several players here that could make a stance. I personally really, really like Texas actually. Nobody's been given Texas, the love that they deserve. They're currently on a 7 game win streak. And I think the Texas could do some serious damage here in the big 12 conference. And I'm actually going to go ahead and pick them over the other major teams here. Texas has been on a tear lately, and they deserve your respect. So quit sleeping on the longhorns. I do think that it's definitely considered an upset. I think that Baylor or Iowa state are probably the favorites, but I'm going to go with Texas, making a run in the tournament for your big 12 conference champions. All right, well that puts me up next, giving you my prediction for the big east conference. I love chaos, y'all know that. I wish I could figure out a reason to pick anybody besides the Yukon huskies, not because I hate the huskies just because I love chaos, but that said, Paige is back pages playing well. I think that Yukon is primed to have a good run into the conference tournament and into the NCAA conference, I believe that they will be a strong contender for the number one spot. Maybe not my top pick, but definitely in the mixer. So that being said, I have to go with the Yukon huskies as winners of the big east. Now I'm going to throw it over to Kyle, who has a prediction for the big sky conference. It's big sky basketball time. All right, as painful as a season, as this has been for a few of these big sky teams like Portland state, which literally went zero in 20 in their conference slate. There's been a couple solid teams here. You've got Idaho state, southern Utah, Montana state, in particular, those three teams are looking really strong. I actually like what I'm seeing out of southern Utah lately. The thunderbirds are coming into this tournament, looking pretty strong. And I'm going to go ahead and say that this is going to be an Idaho state southern Utah matchup. I think this one's going to be a close game and potentially, if those two teams, especially match up against each other, I think this could be a really, really interesting, really interesting game. However, the last time these two teams met southern Utah did get the W and they won by 6 points. I think that that's probably going to continue to be the case. I think some of you test coming on strong, so I'm going to take the thunderbirds as your big sky conference champions. Now that moves us on to Logan, Logan is going to be picking the big south. I promise we did not intentionally push logo back so far into the episode. I know many of you Logan Jones fans out there. We're starting to get irritated with us. It's just a look at the draw. His first conference alphabetically was the big south. But for that, let's go to Logan Jones with his prediction for the big south conference. If you don't think I'm going to pick the Campbell fighting camels, you don't know a thing about me. Of course I'm going to take the fighting camels that they're already in the semis and the big south. By the time you, this episode, maybe the title game will be going on. The camels are 22 and 6 overall this season, they're 15 and three in conference to the number one seed there. I'm going to go ahead and grab them. All right, and because we kicked him so late into the episode, we're going to jump right back into Logan with his prediction for the Big Ten. My favorite conference this year to pay attention to the Big Ten man, the big the Big Ten is 5. The top 5 teams in the Big Ten were ranked like ten, 11, 12, 13, 14, but not in that order. Obviously number ten, Michigan already knocked out at this point. That wouldn't have affected my pick anyway because I have never trusted Michigan. I don't think there's good as everyone says. I will take Caitlyn Clark and number 12 Iowa. They are in the semis right now, by the time you listen to this, this might have already been decided, but the semifinal matchups are set for today tomorrow. I was 21 and 7 overall, but all of those losses are kind of highly publicized because we expect this to be a good team come March Madness. Caitlin Clark at any given time could be the best player on the floor and there's just not one great team in the big tent. 14 and four is Iowa's conference record. There's other 1414. I think there's like 13 and 5 teams, Big Ten is super fun. I mean, Ohio State is still in the mix. I think people aren't probably talking about that enough. Them enough, but come bracket season when you're filling out your bracket, you're going to want to pay attention to how far you're taking Big Ten teams. I don't know if I trust them against top teams in other conferences. But certainly it feels like one of these teams is going to make like an elite 8 run. So I'm going to go ahead and take the hot guys. Don't let me down. I feel like every time I trust them to win a big game, they come up a little short, but I still keep wanting them to win. If they can just play a little defense, they're going to come out with a Big Ten title. That puts me next as I will be picking the big west conference. I feel like the big west conference could really just be the UC conference because it feels like most of the members are just UC something, the University of California system. Schools, that said, I believe the three most competitive teams going into this conference are going to be the UC Irvine anteaters, the Long Beach state beach, which really, that's the best you could come up with Long Beach, the beach. Anyways, the beach and the Hawaii rainbow, I believe Irvine anteaters are statistically the best team coming into this. But the last time they met with the rainbow of Hawaii, they went down by ten points and I think that is what's going to happen. I am giving the big west conference to the rainbow. And up next we go right back to Logan. For his prediction of conference USA. Conference USA, where I am going to take the top suited Charlotte forty-niners, I don't know much about this conference. I looked over the records. I looked over whether they'd played anybody big, but it looks like the forty-niners have the best road to a title and a birth in the NCAA tournament this year. They're 18 and 9 overall. But I'm going to go ahead and trust them. And with that, let's jump over to Steve, who's going to be giving us his pick for the colonial conference. Let's go to the colonial.

"Boston Boston Austin rhyme. Yeah, I'm just spitting. Yeah, camera break on this list. Caitlin Clark on this list, at least grenade, that's the Henderson, Jordan herston, Ryan Howard, Ashley Jones. Haley Jones, who spells her, they both spoil their last names differently. Lee has to be on this list, anise Amaro is on this list, and then we have two male interprets. Ashley was su and angel Reese on this list. And rounding it out on the alphabet border, I have it on is Melissa smith. I didn't mention everyone like I didn't mention House home. But just like these are the best top 20 players in the country. Do you have like a top three? I think I have a wow. Oh, that's, you know, those lists, you know, it's tough for me. So what's your reaction? We could start with your reaction to the list and then I'll give you some time to marinate. I appreciate it, 'cause you know, I can't narrow things like that down like that takes me some time. But I'd like, I love the less. I think, you know, there's no one, I think that that was snubbed. Although diamond Miller being healthy all year, I think she would be on that list, since you've been healthy. I think, you know, just with that being said, Kaitlyn Clark, with her, you know, four triple doubles this season. I think they didn't get that wrong. And the list of Smith. I mean, I told you once I saw her in person at the Maryland game earlier in the year, November. Legit. Like, just flat out problem. And pro ready. So let me just off the top. And no order, but just off the top. I mean, just the talent on that list. I mean, the game is in great hands when you look at that list. And think about it, but then also factor in that there are some players who aren't healthy like a Don Miller who could also easily get a sharpie and put her on there too. So I like that list. I think it's I think it's solid. I think all those players names are going to be called in the WNBA draft at some point. And that's going to be fun to watch when they get to the next level as well. Yeah, I'm thinking here. I mean, well, some Mackenzie Holmes on this list and I'm actually there the Indiana game, it was like very briefly mentioned that she may come back this year and we think we thought she was mostly done for the year. She has a knee injury, I believe, and I don't want to speak out to her. She's hurt and I thought she was going to be out of the ear out for the year, but it turns out that she may be ready by conference tournament time, which would be huge. Obviously she's on the wooden award late season top 20 list. And she hasn't played for the last three or four years. So she's up there for a reason. It may be a little sound like looking at her name because I want her to be on the court. I'll give you my top three though. I'll give you my question. I'll go a Leah Boston. Best player best player on the best team I know she's got a lot of time around there, but she is she's pushing them to where they are. I think that's there. I think ayoka Lee, man, I mean, of course, 69 points in the game. How do you keep her off the top three of this list? And she's doing it. I said this last weekend. I want to say it again. She's doing it with one leg. She's got like, I don't, the biggest brace I ever seen in my life is in her legs. Yeah. I'm just like, so she's gotta be on that. There is no disrespect to anyone else, but so I got Boston. I got Lee. I don't know how this list at this point. I mean, she had 43, the other night. She had the shrug, she had the Jordan shrug. You're right. She's so pro ready that she could play in the WNBA tomorrow. And she has that I don't know. We talk about the great players, right? They just have moxie. That's not, you know, you can't define it. You can't, she has it. That being said, I think I was struggles in winning these games because she had 43 and they lost sleep. I think that's going to cost her a little bit and these awards. But I think she has to be in my top three at the moment. Yeah. I mean, she's definitely in the top three. And I think, you know, that game, I was on that game. The Iowa Ohio State game last night and oh God, the real just had to go had three. Sorry. Oh, darn it. How much time? 56 seconds. What's the catch? Chelsea hall, of course, she was one of the 65 63 Hayley van Liv, just whipped a person corner. Damn. All right. That's fine. I went to Miami, folks. Yeah. All right. Sorry for interrupting Christine. No, you're good. Hey, hey, I was just going to say, you know, there are a lot of eyeballs on that game last night because of her star power and you know, Kevin Durant is a big fan of hers. You know, we actually gave him a shout out a couple times. Last night, our producer Matt was saying that, you know, check Katie's burner accounts to see if he's tweeting. And I got that in the room really funny. Anyway, but just a lot of eyes on her just because they're mesmerized with her stature and her ability to do what she does. And her footwork is impeccable to get to her shots. The fact that she's leaving the country and scoring and assist. I mean, who does that? She also averages 8 boards a game from the guard position. So let's go. I mean, she's a workforce. And last year led the country in scoring. So you would think, you know, hey, this kid led the country in scoring, let's go ahead and clamp down on her. And here she is doing it again as a sophomore. I mean, she's different. Let's go. What happens? Mitchell, 66, 65, 45 seconds left. I'll have a reaction to every shot man don't worry. It's Katie and her hair. Katie Meyer, she and her hair. She's not on the screen right now. I'm sure she is. That's what I mean. She's got to be in her hair. That's my girl. Louisville just scored right back at him. At one point, we got time out for the king's gun system. Okay, time out. I was going to say, you can just go ahead and tell us as it's going, but as a time out. So wait, but you gotta because I'm not watching it, but I'd love to be you got to give me all of the goodies on what's happening in that one. Oh, also, NC state is losing to Notre-Dame. What's the count on that? Keep us updated. One is 60 5, 69 Notre-Dame at the moment. Okay, three seconds left. So in order to name looking more, during control, wait, wait, wait, that was something again? The score.

"From here on now, after going through these top three, I'm going to probably speed up the pace just a little bit to get through the rest of this top ten. Next up on my number four is Shakira Austin. She dropped down from three to four. Shakira is a she's got great size and does a really does a really good job of being that big body and rebounds like crazy. However, I feel like just other skills and being a threat on offense really lacks here. And I think if you're gonna go into the league into the WNBA and go in the top three, you have to be a bit of a threat on offense. You can't be all rebounds. And I think that's where I feel like Shakira is having a little bit of a fall off is she struggled a little bit in her scoring. Over the last 5 games, she said three games where she scored less than ten points per game, hasn't shot necessarily overly impressive from the field. In those games, however, I will say this against a very good Tennessee squad as all of you have I'm sure been noticing Tennessee's playing great basketball this season. She did drop 26 points, 9 rebounds and went 8 for ten from the field. So a really strong showing from her against Tennessee. Against a really good squad there. So I think that the better teams that she plays, the better she plays. I think she shows up when they play against really good opponents. And so I'm excited to see as old miss gets into this SEC play as they continue to play, you know, some of these Texas a and M and Kentucky and Tennessee gets another shot at that. I think that as all miss gets into the SEC play, she's going to have more opportunities to play against some of these bigger teams and I could easily bump her back up to that number three spot if her production goes up when the competition goes up because that's a quality that you really want to see in a player. Moving on to number 5 overall, I've got Ashley Jones out of Iowa state she is staying put in my rankings right where she's at 6 foot one guard forward combo out of Iowa state. Ashley is a fantastic shooter. She's really that kind of slashing. She's the wing player that if left open is gonna drain the three right in your face, but if you come out and don't close out properly on you on her, she will blow right past you and head to the and head to attack the rim. So I'd like to see her improve on her passing and court vision a little bit. I feel like I'm not saying she doesn't have a high basketball IQ, but it doesn't necessarily translate well in the way that she moves the ball on offense. So I think she's a great scoring a great scoring option for a team that might be looking to add some perimeter shooting to their team. I think that she just squeaks into the top 5 for me as far as as far as where I have her in my rankings. She's staying consistent. She's scoring 29 17, 21, 27. She's shooting well from the floor. She's an 87% free throw shooter. She's just got it down. And I think that she's a great option for teams in this first round. Number 6, this is where we start to get into some of the names that I didn't mention last time I did my breakdown. So here's my 6 through ten. These are new names to the list. As far as you are aware of and where I currently have them. Number 6 is illicit name out of NC state a 6 foot 5 center, Alyssa has one of the better smiles. She's known for her smile. She smiles off the court and quite a bit on the court if I'm being honest with the amount of film that I've watched in games that I've seen from Canadian. Actually doesn't shoot a ton from outside. She's not a great perimeter score. However, she shoots 54.54 .5% from the field overall, is currently averaging 13.6 points per game and 7.6. 7.6 rebounds per game. She's just a really solid overall player. Isn't a specialist in any one area, but for someone who's 6 foot 5, she can play outside fairly well. She's a pretty decent passer. She's kind of the Jack of all trades, but not necessarily a master of any of them. She doesn't have a super strong, I guess, specialty. But she's an overall kind of utility player on offense and defense and at 6 foot 5 having a utility player at 6 foot 5 that can play a couple different positions. I think that with the right with the right fit, illicit name could carve out a very, very good career in the WNBA. Moving on to my number 7 spot. Is that where we are? 7, right? Yeah, 7. Okay. I've got destiny Henderson. Now destiny Henderson might not be putting up the most incredible stat lines. She's not someone who fills up the stat sheet left and right like crazy. But if you watch destiny Henderson, she is, she is clearly kind of the engine that makes this absolute machine of South Carolina women's basketball go. She's the one that's pushing the envelope. She's the one that's running this offense that's absolutely lethal. They're number one in the country for a reason and it's because they have some of the very best players in the country and destiny Henderson is absolutely on that list. I think that she fits really well right about at this point in the draft as we sit right now..

"Hillman. Out of Michigan, a 6 foot two forward out of Michigan. Nas has some of the best footwork I've seen in a big, in a long time. She really, really likes to get to the hoop. She doesn't try to do much outside. And anybody who's listening from Michigan or anybody who follows who's followed hellman's career, you know the lethal spin move that she has. It's an insanely strong spin move. And she can go right or left with it. So you can't like, oh, she always spins to the right and take that away from her because she basically can go either way and just leave you in the desk. So he has got an absolutely solid spin move, and it doesn't stop there. She's got other fantastic post moves. The problem is she's got great post moves. She's only 6 foot two. However, and she's not much of an outside threat currently. So that's where I hesitate to put her as high as I have her because I think that what she's got right now is doing really, really well in NCAA play. I don't know if that's gonna translate to WNBA basketball. Because she's gonna be outside constantly by players like Brittany griner, Sylvia fowles, Liz Cambridge, you know, like all of the really big players, so she can if she can carve out a little bit more from the outside, she's really not a threat from outside 15 feet. But we've seen players in the WNBA in the NBA who aren't great outside scorers that still find a role in the league because they can get to the hoop. They can drive in and make things work. And what she may lack in size on the interior, she makes up for in her speed and her footwork and can get around perhaps a slower defender. Like you might see with a cam beige or a griner or foul. That's kind of where I see Nas, I would love to, I hope that she can be do that rather than what we've seen a little bit from Megan Gustafson where she was really dominant, but kind of just undersized and couldn't translate her game as well into the WNBA. So that's kind of where I see Nas right now with some really strong potential, but a couple weaknesses that may cause some GMs in the WNBA to pause when looking at Nas. Rounding out my top 5 and this is where some of you know a lot of you're waiting for the player that you've got in your mind that might be even up as high as like two on your list. You know, they might not be on my top 5. And that's okay, because this is a fluid list, but currently I love what I'm seeing from Ashley Jones. 6 foot one wing out of Iowa state. She's listed as a guard forward and she really is, she does play that three spot, however being listed as kind of that guard forward combo. She spends a little bit more time inside than you would see a player of that position in the WNBA. She might be the best shooter of the 5. She has got great shooting percentages, and she takes care of the ball. She doesn't turn the ball over hardly ever and actually does a really strong job of rebounding. More than you, more than most would realize. She's currently averaging on the season 9 and a half boards per game her senior year. So that's even higher than Shakira Austin that I mentioned earlier was a great rebounder. So even though Ashley's kind of plays that wing kind of that cutting, slashing wing position, she actually still has a really good nose for the ball and gets to those rebounds. Several rebounds being offensive rebounds and even off her own shots, she reads her own shot really well and gets in and goes for those boards. What the knock that I might have with Ashley Jones is she holds onto the ball a little bit too long. When the ball swings over to her, she holds it looking, okay, am I gonna score how am I gonna score and then looks to her teammates secondarily? She's kind of got a scores mentality. And I think she just holds onto the ball a little bit longer than necessary. So you could look at that two ways. One, she doesn't turn it over because she's really, you know, she doesn't move it too quickly without really thinking. She's a very methodical in the way that she approaches it. But I think that, you know, I think that surrounding her with some more players in the WNBA might cause her to hopefully correct that element of her game and so that's the one thing as far as correction or weakness that I see with Ashley Jones. You know, overall, a pretty strong player shoots really well from all across the court. Shoots nearly I think she was shooting nearly 40% from the three point the three point line. This year she's down at 36% from the three point line, so nothing like nothing crazy, nothing fantastic, but has had a pretty solid career overall..

"Welcome to the poetry magazine. Podcast i'm fred sasaki. This episode was really special for me. Because i was invited to interview my friend. And my colleague. Ashley jones ashley guest edited the spring and summer issues poach magazine during a really remarkable time in this publications history and her issues have provided a so much light and breath and clarity. Ashley told us she was going to open the doors. The windows our hearts and our minds and she did in this conversation. We talk about. Ashley's new book reparations. Now i ask what are reparations. And what do they mean. When did that idea materialize in our own minds. We also talk about playing with barbies. Being god and those times when we're just too cool for school and with fat here is the incomparable ashley jones. Something that i always tell people when they ask you. What is your process. How do you find the poems that you want to write. It really has everything to do with listening to the spirit. That's what i call it. But the spirit means so many things it means those ancestors and recognizing the lineage. I don't know that. I always knew that i was in that lineage. You look at some of these writers who you admire and you think oh. That's them i'm never going to be. You know like them. But as i got older and started finding my own voice in the voices of these other poets like sewing sanchez. lucille clifton. Gwendolyn brooks kevin young. Even and so many others. That's when i started to realize that. Okay yes. I am walking in there. Footsteps i'm descended from sister. Sonia descended from miss lucille. The senate from phyllis wheatley. You know all of these poets are speaking to me and through me which maybe is a little woo but you already know how i am so no i i hear all that and i hear all them and also here in. This book is to slow. Which i feel like. It's really brought to bear in these poems so without further do will you read for us. A case for reparations. Yes i will. I should say that. This part of the poem is from a larger piece called reparations. Now reparations tomorrow reparations forever. a case for reparations. When governor can we enjoy the full richness of the great american dream. My grandmother was a sharecropper my grandfather beat his black wife and black children. My uncle was arrested for a crime. He didn't commit in america. Even the shadows of black people are black enough to hide all innocence. Some nights i dream of being killed like emmett. Till or trayvon martin or sandra bland or insert black person's name here some nights. I insert my name. There is that the american dream governor president mayor boss man woman with a cell phone or police badge or a bank account and the skin tender enough to make murder legal. When will you be tired of the taste of black blood. Sometimes i'm singing a song and you make that feel like death. Sometimes i'm dancing dance and you make that feel like shame. Sometimes i'm sitting on my porch just trying to eat a damn melon and you make that feel like i'm selling my black soul. My parents told me. I could be anything even god. That's the least. I'm owed to know i'm worth heaven. Yes but also worth a life on earth. My mother told us we were pretty enough to be dolls. Pretty enough to be praised in the book of barbie. That's the least. I'm owed a face skin hair. So obviously inherently objectively beautiful. It's frozen and plastic and sold to kids all over america to and love and look at with the is of dreams. What you think. All i want is money. What you think money ever repay what you stole. Give me land. Give me all the blood you ripped out of. Our backs are veins. Give me every snapped neck and the news. You wove to hoist the body of. Give me the screams. You silence in so many dark and lustful rooms. Give me the songs you said. Were yours but you know came out of our lips. I give me back. Martin luther king junior and malcolm x. and medgar evers. Give me back the beauty of my hair the swell of my hips the big of my lips. Give me back the whole atlantic ocean. Give me a never ending blue. And a buell. Thank you so much ashley. Such a great reading. I'll so much to talk about in this wonderful palm. This poem is resonating with a poem just reading yesterday by patricia. Smith what you pray toward and in the last section of this poem she asks are we. God and i love this line. My parents told me. I could be anything even god and i'm wondering if you could speak on that i can First of all it is an honor to be mentioned in the same breath as patricia smith. She's like everything she's everything period But yeah that that line in my poem at least goes back to the way that i was raised which the older i get the more. I'm just.

"The thing about grief is that it's just love another form and so you know my love for schuyler will never go away and therefore my grief will never go away either. Because i can't get for back. But i found that it doesn't always have to be so painful. Feeling those emotions and letting them come up and out really helped me heal that. Kind of like robbery's pain where i just felt. My world was collapsing. You know and i was able to. You know with the love and support of others. In addition to feeling all of those feelings i was able to start picking up some of those shattered pieces of my heart and learning. how to rebuild heller. Was this ten years ago. Try and do you have other children. Are you still married. I am still married. Remarkably it does take a huge toll on her relationship and my husband. And i worked through some really really low points and we are still married. We don't have any other children so the condition that she had is genetic and so it's called spinal muscular atrophy or estimate for short and it's very similar to lou gehrig's disease. There is a treatment. But they're still no cure and at the time that we had her. There is no treatment even and so yeah one in forty people are carriers most unknowingly. My husband and i are both carriers. We had no idea. and then yeah every child. We have has a significant chance of having estimated as well so we've just decided to kind of stay no entire tubes in you know potentially opt in the future but we're in no rush show show and the reason i ask about your marriage and other cases because first of all i think the listener will be wondering the same thing. I know that when you were talking about going through that grief process particularly that first year like you said you have to focus on yourself and getting through that. I'm sure your husband went through the same thing and it must be really difficult not to. I don't want to say blame each other but getting each other's way. Yeah and i've spoken with so many moms have other kids when they lose a child and it's like you know it's challenging either way in it's really hard to compare situations because it's so different like i was able to lay in bed and not get out of bed until like my dog needed to go out and just flakes be depressed and later on the house and not have to take care of anyone else right like i didn't have that responsibility but in being alone yes i didn't have kids to take care of but also like kids can be such a beautiful distraction to like. Really pull you back into the present to say like i need you right now like i need you to feed me. I need you to change me or whatever it is and they can pull you back in that that present to to function again and so but at the same time like when you need to just like lay and do nothing like. There's a kid needing you you know and sometimes multiple kids and i you know i. I think it's hard no matter what situation you're in for show for show with photo's that you'll gifted by your friends. I'm guessing though machinery though with a professional photographer and so how long before scholars passing with i taken the first session. We had as when she was like. I wanna say six months and then when she made it two year so the doctors fullest likely not see her first birthday and when we made it to a year the attack for that they had wanted to come back into another session breast in so we ended up doing not session when she was sixteen months old but she was having a bad day not feeling well and just kind of cranky and so sad because we didn't get any smiles out of her or anything and then she passed away at twenty one months old and so so yes we have those two sessions and then we actually had a another session early on when she was three months old because she had to go through her first surgery and the doctor's basically told us that we can't guarantee that she's gonna come out alive because she's such a fragile baby and so i just asked a friend who does photography as well to just come over and do a few photos in case she doesn't make it out of surgery like i wouldn't have anything and so we ended up with three total professional portrait sessions of our family together which is just such a so. I feel strange in this question. But you have three photo sessions. It sounds like the middle photo session was the best one as far as the photos go. She sang lock. She is happy. The photos a gripe everything was looking good. So i'll tell you the ones you gravitate towards. Now yeah the three-month ones were also beautiful and she was so happy. Then yeah so. Those earlier sessions are the one that like i have printed on my wall. You know and like framed in my house but there are some really sweet moments in that the third session that the photographer captured who moments where she was like fluffy and i was trying to console her like we just leaned down and kissed her face her We ended up. Just we kind of took a picture of all of our feet to get married because it was kind of weird but i am really weird toes and so like most people have like this pretty arch of toes that lake go down in a nice pretty arch and like all of my toes are like straight across and then it drops down to my pinky toes. I've linked very square looking. Does and the joke was schuyler looked so much like my husband that i was like..

It's an organization supporting people in grief and helping people heal by connecting portrait photographers with families facing a terminal diagnosis. Now ashley through love. Not loss is on a mission to revolutionize the way we heal ingrate presenting memories for those they love at no cost to them and ashley and her husband injured the sign grief when i lost beautiful daughter skyla their friends gifted them a portrait session to help serve her memories and at the time actually didn't realize how powerful these photos would become. They gave her away to hold onto her baby girl. Now i'm going to let ashley type the story from here. I'm happy to say that she's with me right now. Ashleigh welcome thank you for having. It's great to be here. Look before we get right into your story can just give a little idea about love not loss and what it actually is in. It's it's a nonprofit organization. In the united states. America with a vision to get to global level and our mission is to revolutionize the way we heal in greece and the main reason for that is because grief is something we all experience. It's universal it's human. It's part of life and so as we experience losses throughout our lives. We want people to feel them supported and currently in our society. Unfortunately it's just not common right. We don't talk about grief. There are a lot of misconceptions about grief you know. It's easy to get distracted and disconnected from ourselves and each other and so our vision is is to really help people connect and he'll when you said he's misconceptions about gray flow. What does that mean. Yeah so one of the things that i've heard a lot of and actually when my husband and i lost our daughter you know given pamphlets on the five stages of grief we.
