"Welcome kiss myths and mysteries. I'm your host kid crumb. Today we live in a world of doublespeak gas lighting alternative facts. And this begs the question. How do you find the truth? Well deductive reasoning critical thinking. And fact checking out bear with me as I start off an illustration of all of this with the nursery rhyme ring around the rosie pocket full of posies ashes ashes. We all fall down. The word dark comes to mind when you think about it. The first three words ring around the Rosie refers to the sign of infection during the black plague. It was a bright green or yellow ring around a raised. Rats watch the next words pocket full of posies refers to the smell of the infected and how children fill their pockets with flowers to cover the smell. Finally the last words ashes ashes we all fall down. This refers to how the infected eventually drop dead and they were burned to keep the plague from spreading lol talk about dark and it would be if that were the true meaning of this nursery rhyme. But it's not fact. Check ring around. The Rosie is simply a nursery rhyme of undefined origin and no specific meaning and someone long after the fact concocted and invented explanation for its creation. The black plague was a disease. We call Vanek plague and it spread by bacillus usually carried by rodents and transmitted to humans by fleas. The played I hit Western Europe in Thirteen. Forty seven and by thirteen fifty. It had killed nearly a third of the European population. Although some of the details of the plague offered in this strange ring around the rosie poem explanation are reasonably accurate. Sneezing one of the symptoms of a form of pled for example and some people did use flowers incense and perfume oils to try and ward off the scent of the disease the notion that we were behind the creation of this nursery rhyme is extremely implausible for a number of reasons although foot glorious have been collecting and setting down in print. Bits of oral tradition such as Rhymes and fairy tales for hundreds of years. The earliest print appearance of ring around the Rosie did not occur until the publication of Kate. Greenaway's mother goose or the old nursery rhymes in eighteen. Eighty one for the plug explanation of ring around the Rosie to beat true. We have to believe that shoulder were reciting this nursery rhyme continuously for over five centuries yet not one person in that five hundred year span founded popular enough to merit writing down how anyone could credibly assert a rhyme which didn't appear in print until eighteen eighty one actually began in thirteen. Forty seven is a mystery if the rhyme were really this whole than ring around the Rosie antedates chaucer's Canterbury Tales and therefore we would have examples of this rhyme in middle English as well as modern English forms. We're talking about deductive reasoning gear ring around. The Rosie has many different variant forms which admit some of the plague references or clearly how nothing whatsoever to do with death or sees my point and taking a closer look at this nursery. Rhyme is to point out that something that appears to mean. One thing may actually mean something else entirely. Well that's good to know but how is it determined what is true and what is not one of the things. Aside from critical thinking. Reasonable deduction is back. Check in a world of alternative facts. It's important to look and listen with a critical eye on ear. And if that fails fact check this begs an example more relevant than a nursery. Rhyme could the twenty twenty. Us presidential election postponed. There's your question what's true. The date of the. Us presidential election could theoretically be postponed with the approval of Congress and the president. How ever such a postponement would be extremely difficult to achieve in time for the twenty twenty presidential election and not provide much leeway for voters. Now he can see not all answers are straightforward. But a good fact checker will spell

Building an Amazon Private Label-Based Business
"Are in the middle of a ten part mini series as of episodes regarding the overall scaffolding the overall process you go through to build amazon private label based business which is not the same as the end result what it looked like but it's the price of how to get there in a way that is both realistic and also affordable minimizes. She's unnecessary. Unnecessary risks without adding unnecessary going around the houses right <hes> very instinct speaking earlier today about all of this and there's so much out there that kind of trains teaches people to jump from ages eight in one go which is we are all about the process of learning things at a micro level with retail charles something and learning from doing right and then you get that learn to review circle of life going which we'd so passionate about we know me how is the ending of the cost of these traditionally out so you can only do that if you do stuff right if you learn researchers have reach is and then do one big massive the of spying of thousands of dollars worth producing one go then you'll you'll risking a lot and not learning very much so we preferred again stages and the the inbetween arbitrage by you spend fifteen hundred bucks on something and the big picture of the big full private label onshore custom product launch is that sort of test order in the middle which is awkward and fiddly and difficult to get but can be done and we kind of specialize in finding ways of doing that and generally we find ways to test a product product launch in some form between about one thousand and fifteen hundred dollars for that rather than several thousand so that's more or less approach and that's just to recap on the steps today's step six we took him outsourcing and getting income sation with supplies and getting the physical products made for you just to quickly recap step one ba catholic multiple things things on just because somebody in two thousand fourteen manage to make one hundred thousand dollars a month with one product doesn't mean that you'll do the same two thousand nineteen or that's a good business model. I think you need to synthesize multiple businesses and what works and what doesn't work across the board into a business model. That's my philosophy anyway. You welcome to listen to that and decide for yourself for you or not not an but that's what we have to offer. I've never made millions on amazon but i have done selling myself kohl's quote substantial turnover of the as but olso synthesize things from focus from being a member of very exclusive private masterminds in london england and loss of british on some american some european sellers and then of course the masterminds that i run myself so between those things. That's what we're basing things on. The second step that we talked about already is from the guide by the way. I should tell you whether the guy they'll tell you in the second. The second step is arbitrage and learning from doing that not as a business model because i'm not a fan of that. It's not very scalable. It's certainly hard to scale is not very defensible harder to do you concrete a sellable asset in most cases. It's extra ryan so it's not retail tarsus a business model. It's a quick way to learn. A lot of skills and most people don't have the humility or the order. They're not taught to do it but if you actually just do you if you wanna make a million a year in three years time or something and a couple of almost my members have gone from scratch two million dollars a year revenue says entirely possible but why not just sell a ten pound widget or a ten dollar widget. There's nothing stopping you doing now and you'll learn a lot more doing that and it's very low risk so step. Three is the n._f._l. Purchase unleash source launch. That's the basic prices. Everybody teaches so nothing different here but that step four is about scaling up through different different levels of risk in different levels of skill which we've already talked about briefly step five to one before this is niche <hes> the how do you find winnable bull markets on amazon product research as it's also known market research so if you want to get the bill guide is broken down as developed by in conjunction without designer joanna wonderful outsource that we use in poland of all places to really smart people in eastern europe which is an amazing place to salsa certain things anyway guys be professionally professionally designed and i wrote it and then rewrote it with my coach so we put a lot of time and energy into make absorbable oh but powerful full you just amazing f._d._a. Dot com for such bills. That's amazing f for freddie beef thirty eight thousand four dot com for slash build b. a u. I l d so. That's why you're gonna get the p._d._f. So to cover this topic then <hes> the six steps sourcing prophets and quality. Those are the two main things you're looking for of course those two. Things can be a lot of tension with each other right so you're you if your product isn't good enough quality then you is not going to sell it well it looks horrible and photos all in some ways worse you'll manage to make sales but then you get terrible reviews from people because they'll be disappointed in the product quality in some form and qualities and instincts will discuss what does quality mean the other thing of course is that you've got to make a profit and of course people would generally pay more money for something they perceive as quality but as discussing with somebody who phoned in today normally arts the phone just just become sometimes called me this number on the website and if you get hold of me if i'm free allowance rate from one of my team will start to answer these days. We're discussing exactly that problem because the other thing if you've got great quality products you pay more money for it. That's fine but then the question is. Can you get that price in the marketplace and still sell at a reasonable selling volume and sell out of profit right right so this is always the tension you can never fully magic that promo away but you can work with in an intelligent way so the first critical predator sourcing is define what you're looking for. I pay <hes> speaking with ash manga recently of amex sourcing his ashes ashes originally <hes> she missed full name is from india originally but studied in business in the u._k. For years before then heading off to china <hes> while he'd never the being before because he he knew that that's why he done momma selling that's why the sourcing was happening and that was where the game was being played to head off from scratch to set up a sourcing agency which is very money for i believe nine years now so amazing the entrepreneurial guy very meticulous about product quality quality written all over everything he does and he said to interviewed him recently in the tank electric cost which you can check out by if you're in a cost just put intend k. and collective c._o. "This is this episode seventy eight. It comes from June the fifth two thousand twelve per segment today rich robin owner of gator pits. He's into give you some advice on pit maintenance and season in that new pick up the first time second segment today <music> a beat head from amazing ribs dot com and what could be the hardcore genesis of the conversation between Greg and meet head. Is it barbecue or is it grilling. Let's get to it first up. Here's rich Robin and Greg from June two thousand twelve redrawn joining us here on the show I read so let's say you have one is what we wanted to talk about tonight. I was getting a lot of questions about offset pit maintenance and things that you need to do to make sure that you're keeping in mind and proper running order you know once I get it from Houston here to Cleveland you always hear people got a season the pit you gotTa do a burn into you know eliminate any chemicals or bubble by whatever the case may be so when you get that first pit it going. What's the best way to break it? Okay gator pits all maywood new still on. I emphasize that we don't use any use use use materials whatsoever in the manufacturing of our products all brand new pipe <hes> all brand new structural steel bill so what what's in there in the steel is gonNA is coming directly from the manufacturer <hes> Still Company so typically what you do when you buy cooker is you're gonna all cooking. All you can use peanut oil canola all they have a harvest viscosity heat they <hes> <hes> you can use if he won't you can go to Walmart and Bazi great value cheap oil because what you're GONNA do. You're cutting the interior of the pit with it. You WanNa fill the pores that with the cooking all you want to put a small a fire in the fire box and you WANNA gradually work it up to temperature because you've got a brand new pit its version Pitt <hes> you're GONNA have expansion and contraction of the steel you gotta break it in a little bit so to speak and you also WanNa season it so that you do burn greg. Could you said the oils that are using manufacturer of cutting and all that <hes> not only from the meal that comes from but also from us working and doing what we do to turn that role steel into a barbecue pit so you need to burn that out. There's nothing in our in in gator pits. That is GonNa hurt you. If you don't do that and you immediately but you're GONNA WANNA see at first because if you don't you're going to be evaporating oils and all that they come from the meals that was going to boil out of the out of the steel out of the fours you know and it's just GonNa make for your meet. The first time you on it is just not going to taste that great so you season it. You burn that out you replace that with good cooking oil <hes> then soaks into the pores in the more you cook on the pits the better the cooking gets <hes> and it's really that simple retry seasoning a cast cast iron pot or cast iron skillet if anyone's familiar with doing that yeah absolutely same thing and you don't ever strip it down to the bare metal. If you cook on nor nor would you do that to a cash on Potter skillet you rented out with soap and water <hes> as far as the cast iron pot the same pit you leave the seasoning in there. You don't want to strip it. Everything you'd never never want to strip it down to the bare metal again because if you do then you gotta receiving again so you just want to keep the oils in the air you wanNA keep the meat juices on the greats all that help season the pit. It minimizes the rusting on the interior especially in dry climates where you have no humidity <hes> and and and you don't want to Piss the pit the rust they outside from jumping going Greg. Tell me I'll stop <hes> but the outside you you want to count that as well. They're not gonNA PEOPLE ARE GONNA say. I can't believe you just said this takes you outside of your escorted with W._d.. Forty coat it down with W._d.. Forty and spread it out with the cotton cloth rag and lubricate the extra the pit not the inside. I want to emphasize not the inside of the pit. That's cooking oil. There's there is a difference but the outside the reason I recommend w forty is because it's not oily and it's also a lubricant water that hits. It's GonNa roll off like water ducks back back <hes> it's GonNa lubricate your hinges. <hes> and it's not gonNA track pollen and dust and all that and and get nasty if you if you want to you can use cooking oil to do that but keep in mind you better be able to fire into it and you'd better burn it a few times to draw that cooking oil on the outside because if you don't you will get the dust and the pollen and everything else that's outside floating around in the win. That's GonNa stick to your pit and when you fired up it's going to stay in that bit because it's making an oil rig driving joining us here on the show. We're talking about some offset. PIT maintenance ain't Jamaica about this. Let's say you know I have one. Obviously we have a lot of climate change here in Cleveland so we're getting you know winter. Spring Fall is stuff so there's constant expansion contraction of the metal. Maybe I'm not going to use it as much during the wintertime as I would food during the warmer months because he's going to be half the ten to fire with the offset pits so let's say I get some rust on the outside of the fire box that necessarily the main chamber but obviously there's going to be a little bit more apt to to rush the fire box because it's the hottest part of the pit. How do I wanNA take care of that rust properly and is it something that you're just going to constantly contend with do not even want to consider repainting over it after it chips off the first time okay what's going to happen on that is far Urbach is GonNa be the first place is gonNA show exactly what you're talking about rig and it's not that the paint manufacturers using high heat barbecue black paint or high heat paint? It's not that the paint can't handle the the heat <hes> we use a thousand greer stolen brand paint <hes> it can handle it two thousand degrees but like you mentioned earlier you have expansion contraction steal a newark. It's going to expand and contract quicker <hes> until it actually starts to break in after several cooks so that expanding contraction. There's GONNA be minimized so if you want to wait and cook on your pit give it about six months breaking in period then you can come back and touch up paint and you're GonNa do it less frequently than if you start from the get go and say after the third cook some of your paint came off the fire box and typically. It's going to be at the very top because that is the greatest expansion areas that is the center of the fire box at the top <hes> and that's going to be in the square box pipe box. It doesn't matter that's where the most concentrated center of the top of the fire box give it awhile then come back and get your the light sanding <hes> sanding disc. Get your war wheel on a grinder and then just just take off the surface rust. If you do it and you don't let the get too bad with the surface rust I can ask you just take her out for the with the pressure sprayer. If you've ever pressure for SOPA watered knocks it right off of the pressures for then you come back and you can use a little acetone and take off the remaining surface rust and any grease. That's on there with some acetone and as soon soon as you do that come back and hit it again with your paint if you if you happen to have a compressor sprayer that's the best way to do it. If not you can buy Aerosol type <hes> high heat black <hes> Russell Brand Krylov and you have several manufacturer in fact there are so faint they have several manufacturer that you can buy in Aerosol spray can if you don't have the convenience of a car sprayer or a compressor to do it so there's ways and you can roll it on as well I would recommend a sponge will or not a paintbrush but it's fundraiser <hes>. <hes> it comes out smooth. It doesn't the birthmark Senate <hes> against it's the sponge that you can use to do that. <hes> that's GonNa put it on a thicker coat but you want to do multiple layers if you don't do multiple layers defeating the purpose and you're just wasting your time you WanNa be patient. <hes> <hes> get the surfer stall degrasse it and then hit it immediately with your paint your new paint all right rich. Let me ask you this question too because every once in a while I've seen and I had it happen with my offset pit when I had it. There was a little bit of rust the bottom of the pipe on the inside so is it a I'm sure it's not a similar process not going to be repainting the inside but there has to be a way for you to kind of get away at that Russ and the kind of research and the inside as well right well. What do you don't WanNA put cooking <music> only insider season the inside of your box okay? That's a whole different different chamber than what Your Food Chamber. You're smoked cameras where you goes to separate boxes so if you had that built up law that just smoke residue believe it or not I it's not rust <hes> <hes> it it it. It could be just depending on whether or not you're maintaining that box. After each cook one of the worst things you can do to a barbecue pit and it doesn't matter gator pit or who manufactured the worst thing to do is to leave Ash ash burnt ash down into the bottom of the box because what happens is that ash accumulates and all the corners of the fire box square power boxes require a little more T._l._C. to maintaining had longevity because you have all the colours at the base and it's a flat surface at the bottom item that asked gets in all those corners and it's hard to get out <hes> and what happens is ash will try humidity morning. Do it gets wet and wouldn't ask it's wet. It gets extremely sick so what that does is. It starts eating at the walls also in the will to the pit so the pie boxes far boxes pros and cons pipe box less maintenance. It's GonNa last you a little longer <hes> if you if you keep it cleaned out and you maintain the pipe box you should never have to replace a pipe box the square boxes you know require a little more maintenance but again you shouldn't replace the the square far box either if if you give a little more T._l._C. to it and keep it cleaned out so the ashes extremely cynical detracts morning moisture <hes> in most people to be honest they don't clean the fire boxes out until they're cooking on it again the next month or the next two weeks so during that week or that four weeks it's just sitting there tearing that far bucks. It's a cancer in the fire box. which is what you don't want your pit so you're far boxes aren't burning in and out guys what they're doing is they're rusting out getting eaten up by the city of the Ash retreive and joining us here on the show again the website gator pit dot net? If you WANNA go ahead and take a look and then potentially place in order to put in your request for.

The jury is still out on this one from what I can tell it seems like about half of historians and folklorist think that this rhyme has to do with the plague and they have a ton of other possibilities too boring and very dimension here. And frankly, none of them sounded that real to me or likely the other half do seem to agree that the the rhyme does originate with the plague the most popular. Version of the rhyme at least in modern day, America goes like this ring around the rosy pocket full of posies ashes ashes we all fall down. I remember thinking that Donald McGrath, Betty when I was little planet in the art like three or four little and then dropped my but on the on the ground and just giggling, my last off turns out, it's not a real funny. Diddy ring around a rosy may refer to swollen lymph nodes with the red rosy rash around them one of the symptoms, as you know of the plague pocketful of posies may refer to the posies verbs little small bundles of herbs and flowers that were carried around by those still not ill to ward off the smell bodies in the homes. The dead were burned to try and rid the streets of the infection. Hence the line ashes ashes or in the British version of the rhyme. You'll British version that line would read a Choo Choo which could refer to the sneezing and coffee, and it was one of the final symptoms of pneumonic form of the Z's. You know, the worst version of how it spread. The apocalyptic nature of the plague is felt in the final line. We all fall down representing people just literally dropping dead from the plague time. By away. The black death has been sucked. Boob on a plague. It's been sucked few place. You sucked preview the times, man. I live in so much more right now. So my doctors and where scary ass double bird mask. So glad is one to rub shit my wounds or have you drink pays Remmy, stick a fucking Pige to my arm. Some glad I'm not watching half. Or more of everyone of ever known died a matter of weeks. Happy to not watch maniacs whip themselves in the town square. Actually, wait, I'm gonna stop there. The last thing would be some a plus top shelf people watching whenever they think about it. I would not mind watching maniacs whip themselves and sing songs and step over each other in a town square that actually be just grab a coffee. You know, sitting on the bench and just kind of enjoy the show. Thank you to the time. So team. Thank you to you listeners for listening to another episode. Thanks time suckers in space. So help me God because as somebody very kindly did the worst break him in chat. He's been missing for for five months. Eleven days, thirty seven minutes, and the point that point is twenty one seconds. But it's probably more than that by now, it's time for him to come back to TV. It's time for him to be injected back into the product. And so help me God you've been waiting for months for the. Right moment to bring him back. You're you even if for five seconds, which eventually should be more like a minute, but still he should be back at the rumble. If they don't bring him back at the rumble. I'm probably gonna get on the internet and scream about it like other people, and they won't care because it's a person screaming on the internet. But that's really all I care about in this match is if ROY at shows up for the record dimmer predictions on while tat ash ash, I do not have the mouth of along Shormon. I has been car coming in in this measure up. I really enjoy them. And despite not having many choices the win that's gonna be really fun. Magid, usually as there's no big dog to over see this rumble, and sort of caused panic for people like he has done every year for last six years. So they'll be fine. I have an idea wins. But I also see them pulling us worth. Okay. I believe Seth Rollins is winning. But I can also see them saying, SAFA liens and have Mustafa Leander Biden wrestlemainia be okay with that that sort of where man onus what about as much as I would love to see Seth when the rumble. I feel like you need to do something unexpected and do something like give must off of the wind. Just because it's like one it sets up the smackdown title. You don't have to worry about it into something new. It's different. It's fresh. It's not expected. I don't think anybody's like were sitting here talking about it now. But it's like, hey, yo have Mustafa Ali when the rumble and goes out to anywhere on. He's like, hey, do let's go and could Mustafa Ali when the title wrestlemainia..
