Goals: Write it Down, Break it Down!
"You know wanting that That you know the three of were talking. The other day was You know things that Things that we put on the board. You know What we wanted to accomplish this This year you know. And start thinking about goals man and What exactly are goals and do you achieve them. And then we started asking you know maybe not everyone knows what a goal is you know and and you know we're kicking back in the lounge and usa. Hey man this sounds like a topic you know and So that's where we're going to be talking about today is Are twenty twenty goals so compass. John's like a good topic to get into while for me. I like to think about goal as an idea of future result. Sometimes you put a vision out there. You want to see what would be your preferred south. Were look like or preferred result would look like and now is the best way that i learned about goes and believe it or not I didn't know what a goal and objectives. And how to define that nadia to like high school man. I mean not. I'm sorry into college in highschool shit you know it just didn't click but it was a big eye opener for me in college and i had to catch up right. I do think about this. Okay i got out to start writing down stuff. And i'm breaking it out so a goal is for example. You know an idea or a future something you wanna get like if you want to buy a new car or say you want to lose weight right so you say that's glow i wanna lose weight in twenty twenty for example so if you look at that you break it down further those would be your objectives so one of your objectives is to figure out what your exercise routines gonna look like have a plan for that. Another objective can be. How do you cut back on carbs. A third objective is. I want to lose five pounds week one. I want to lose ten pounds week to i to have these different milestones. That's the kind of example that i always like to use is the big goal and in the little steps and again as you were saying you just triggered or you said a word that i was gonna say that about milestones that when you when you have a goal you have to set out Like a path you know and it's good. It's nice sometimes. You have to have realistic. I mean you have to have realistic goal. But it's good to drink too but those are two different two different things. Yes it can be positive negative. Because i always hear my wife sometimes like there's nothing wrong with dreams. You have to shoot for the stars sometimes or have these your trees follow your dreams and it's beautiful dream To have nice things or whatever it may be and then figure out backtrack were work yourself when when sometimes when you're a little kid and somebody had that you amaze your. Here's a start. Here's the end times. It was easier to start at the work your way back. You know shooting. I don't know if you remember cleaned out with mazes not exactly as little kids i mean this vision visualizing stuff is very important and we shouldn't squash our kids dreams right. Had these really big dreams and then as you get older or if you're able to break down those dreams and you have to break it onto like what's the reality realistically can you do. Is this a far fetched dream that you want to be the best piano player but yet you don't wanna put in the time to learn piano then. Hey come on. that's just you know that's just a false dream where aruban. What do you call those kinds of dreams. Well i'm just going on on on dreams. I think dreams are great man. And i think as we get older we lose the magic of of dreaming big men and we get complacent and we. You know ten fifteen twenty years down the road. You're like ban. i'm still working here. You know what happened to my dreams. My aspirations what i was gonna be you know and And we get caught up in the day to day stuff you know and before you know it. One year two years five years ten years gone down. What wh- has gone have gone by. And what happened to your dreams.

"Twenty twenty we are under three weeks away from the big election. There's a lot to talk about Hunter Biden censoring on the Internet. And Kamala Harris how much more do you want from me people but before we get to any of that, I often tell you guys I am not a journalist. I'm just a guy at a desk telling you what I think sitting in my house in my office and I'm talking to a camera telling you what I think I'm not I'm not a journalist and that I'm not out there on the ground collecting facts. One of the things that journalists journalists have done to ruin journalism is when they get something wrong or they make a mistake, they rarely retract the mistake or what they usually will do is when they when they get the first story wrong that'll get thousands and thousands of re tweets be amplified everywhere get tons of youtube views and everything else, and then when they put the retract, they'll do it like in the middle of the night when no one sees it in like three people re tweet it I actually made a factual error last week you're not GonNa believe I am not the perfect human being i. On. A simple definition of gas lighting I was talking about. Last week, which is an internet tactic, and basically what I said was something to the effect of that gas lighting when you attack people online. So over the top, they don't even really know how to respond. That's actually not quite right and by the way many of you politely addressed it in the comment section. So I said to my guys, we're going to address it. Now a few people did attack Aruban doesn't know what he's talking about he got the. Gas Lighting wrong. Okay. But but actually most people said you know we like it, you drop the ball on this one a lot of people send me links and the rest of it. So I do want to correct what the definition of gas lighting is. So the actual definition of gaslight is in reference to the one, thousand, nine, hundred, forty, four movie aptly titled Gaslight, which is to manipulate someone by psychological means into questioning their own sanity that is actually the sort of Internet twenty, twenty definition. Of of gaslight when I was saying Oh, you just keep saying things that are so over the top, it's like people don't know how to respond that seems like an off shoot I would say that's an offshoot of gas lighting. But Hey, of not the perfect human being guys and just want you to know that and that is the official definition of gas lighting and by the way, this is what we see constantly when people are just railed and attacked by bots and trolls. So that they don't even know what's real anymore right? Like we just sort of the culture of the Internet as it is. But before we move onto the rest of the stories today, I WanNa talk to you guys about the second thoughts board game the quick thinking. Verse Fast. Talking. Party. Game second thoughts. This year's new favorite party game that assured to be hit with your friends and family on your next game night. The play of the game calls for each team quickly create..

The thirty foot wall through the middle of the property kills our project completely kills our project. Jeremy Bernard is part of the family that owns river band. Nearly seven hundred Americans and Canadians from the frigid north moved down here during the winter to enjoy. Short sleeves and Margaritas Bernard Parks his golf cart on the Levy. That overlooks the curved streets. Lined with fancy mobile homes and palm trees. This is where the proposed alignment is from Border Patrol. The problem with that is seventy percent of our property is south of the Levy that includes the REC center the pool tennis courts and fifteen of eighteen holes. All of it would be cut off by the wall. The frustrating thing Bernard says is they rarely see unauthorized immigrants and drug smugglers passing through here. His family is negotiating urgently with customs and Border Protection to move the wall slightly north. So it won't slice their property in half and yet Jeremy Bernard's politics haven't changed he remains loyal to President trump. And I've got friends that disagree with me and they say how could you vote for this man? What his wall wants to tear apart your community. The main thing I tell them look the thought that I'm going to agree. One hundred percent with somebody especially a politician is just outrageous. I just have an issue with the blanket. Let's build a wall everywhere as you continue on military highway urbanized. Brownsville gives way to fields of onions. Cotton and corn here. I find Richard Roy at his farm headquarters leaning on his pickup truck. He's this rich Delta soil all of his life I'm seventy years old and It just it's GonNa ruin my lifestyle here of been living in the country. I've never lived in town and To have that wall. There's just GonNa really disturb me but drawing Nosey can't beat Washington DC so last fall. He reluctantly SOLD THE GOVERNMENT. Aruban of land so they could erect the wall across his crop. Rose like Jeremy Bernard Richard draw supports trump and his all four increasing border security. He just doesn't want the wall in his property. I told him you know this stupid wall is going to have lights on it. It's GONNA be like being in prison while lights and everything and I said You put them lives up on me on my house. You know more. Shoot him out. Of course I have time to calm down. Joy has seen what's happened over the past decade to Riverside land that's isolated by the border wall weeds. Takeover and people are afraid to go there anymore on his farm. He's worried that bad hombres will cross the river from Mexico and threatened his farm hands. He says the wall seeds has property down by the river to Mexico. Like Tola Board. Joe I said look you know goodwill how you build a wall. All agents will done trolling up and down the law. They're never going to go on down to the river anymore. He yield back into the Rio. Grande is the first line of Defense Baloney. You just wait a few years. I shared these misgivings with C. Bp a spokesman responded the Border Patrol will continue to operate on both sides of the barrier to include the riverine environment further. They'll install electric gates with security codes to give landowners access to the south side of the wall. My Westward John. Across the valley terminates at the rustic campground of the Cavazos family. Fred is seventy and in a wheelchair. They were race here. My Dad taught me how to fish. Here OUTTA. Get a shovel and dig worms. He says they run a few cows but the main income is from tenants who built weekend shanties along the water's edge. A lot of time on boats a lot of own jet skis so they come down with us and sausages Saturdays and Sundays and barbecue. It's a hundred four and five so they feel great where you're out there jet skiing. The government wants to put the wall and a wide patrol zone. Along the north end of their property. Cavazos worries it will drive away. His tenants who may not want to be walled off from the rest of Texas like many large families down here the Cavazos clan is split someone to accept what they think is a generous offer from the government. Nearly four hundred thousand dollars for SIX ACRES BUT COUSIN. Ray who seventy-five wonders what happens? If one day they put the land up for sale. The problem is the devaluation of the property. Nobody wants to buy property. That's on the Riverside of the wall. So this is what the fight is going to be about ray. Infrared are fighting the government in federal court. They want to drag it out until election day hoping that the Democrat wins the White House and halts the border wall

I, I didn't know anything about these, I was at the. Ironman sports medicine conference in Hawaii, though, years ago like seven years ago, in this doctor named Dr Jeff Spencer who works with a lot of tour de France cyclists, and helps them to repair their bodies. More quickly between those grueling stages. He got up and pee presented on the go affects of grounding in earth, things, specifically, in terms of enhancing recovery in decreasing inflammation. And most of the doctors in the room thought he was a total Kook. But I thought it was really interesting. I want to get him on the podcast because I'm a fellow. Yeah, I love kooks. And this latest research study, kind of backs up, what he was saying, like seven years ago that simply using grounding or earthen Matt, the same could be said for, for pulse. Electro-magnetic field therapy is the is the same concept like a PM dribble or P, M, F device, or even even though this is not what they used in the study, going outside barefoot, you know, spend some time you mean you can do them ground. You know, he's got that. That kind of what we call the Bo Diddley beat on it and Bob the bump bump bump, Bob. Bob, the bump bump, and I don't know if you've ever talked to him about that. I had I had a great opportunity to talk to him about that particular song. And he had he had his little snare drum with them in bright beside he had a cardboard box, and they they miked up the cardboard box. So when you hear that bop bop Papa that's on a car guard cardboard box, right? So in your other probably every day. I think would be number two Everyday's a great song too. Because there's really only two predominant instruments. In that song and one it's a. Well, the the rhythm track is bum-bum-bum-bum-bum-bum-ba. And it is is Jerry Allison the just beaten on the blue jeans, but beaten on the knee of his blue jeans, and that's all they're doing Mike in that up. And then then the the other instrument the main instruments called the Celeste, and it is a it's a keyboard. But it plays like a like a xylophone. And so it's kind of xylophone keyboard thing, and it it's very simple song. But that's probably my number two song. And then rave on any other, buddy. Holly stuff, you all know about it. Well, whenever you're in doing radio from Aruban county as you say, you gotta rave on. You gotta rave rave on both ways your here's some judgment scenarios for you. If oaks, I do apologize. And whenever I think about exercise now all I've got to like, go out and find a grumpy neighbor to yell at me while I'm on the treadmill? That's my exercise. Yeah. You need that motivation. You can't just draw internal. That's what I've gotta do. I go find my grumpiest neighbor and say, hey, I'm gonna pay you a dollar a minute to stand here and just yell at me while I'm on the treadmill in my garage. All right. You borrowed money from a friend. I did but your friend hasn't asked for the money back and seems to have forgotten all about it. You pay them back or never bring it up. You're an elected official. I think I know what you're responsibility paying bags man. That's your that's your duty your duty. Even though he does it up. And it's I mean, if if he says look that was a gift I want you to have it enjoy please don't pay me back. That's one thing. But if it's never brought up, my guess is it's it's always on his same friend throws up in your bathroom who's cleaning it up. You were him friends got clean it. You gotta clean up your own bass, if you're in if you're in somebody else's house, and you make a mess. Clean it up. Yeah. Brought this up. I think yesterday, but I wanna get. Response on it. Tens out what is bad via mental health is the way trans people are often treated, they get bullied kicked out of their home and attacked and the science is telling us that this mistreatment. That's the biggest problem for transgender. People. It's not homeowners or surgery. Not surprisingly when people don't get treated like garbage and makes a big difference. "And i'm pretty sure you can't really do this quite yet with an amyloid so now what would end the aruban said during the code conference was that the lcd panel actually sits on top of the camera so the basically the excise part of the lcd panel um the part with the pixels and everything else and it's just a transparent a layer or the lcd panels and the cameras at their instead so but would leave a saying is i wonder how jagged the pixels will be along those curves around the camera is either that was an issue with us with some routed corners was it says the screen is is 25 sixty by thirteen twelve so i mean obviously it it yellow the physical screen might be a little jacket but it won't be like you can point out the individual pixels i'm not getting up really close right i think economies more since if you think about this like the v 20s a little status barred the top because knew that had the secondary screen next to the camera above the main screen says i think it's kind of the same thing where you have the status bar picking up the upper edge i guess i feel so i have the screen thing is what it is so i think that the design decision they made in nino either bugs you're it doesn't it bugs me a little bit for sure i'm now the thing about at least it won't cut out videos because the screen aspect ratio is i believe any rubin said it is 1909 that's it's eighteen point five by nine eighteen point five by it has and i thought it was and it was something even like root of oh wait i'm sorry i was it at night it's nineteen by ten right yeah yeah okay nineteen 10 okay yeah so it's it's an interesting aspect of asia fischer so he won't have your videos cut off supposedly um so i guess that's good but you know that that kind of is what it is i other aspects of the founder interesting as a titanium frame which andy rubin claim was necessary to achieve this design if they want to bend in your pocket i feel like kind of dubious about that claim like really you couldn't do it with steel is impossible.

"Did you see benjamin netanyahu shuffling kids like just the look of horror on his face to show gatica and i gotta say i don't like when people in this country demonize donald trump when it comes to his relationship with benjamin netanyahu for those that don't recall netanyahu's campaign when he briefly upbeat this guy hers auge he ran one of the most islamophobic campaigns in the history of the world and he went so far right benjamin netanyahu has no saint a he's got blown and own hands and he's done some really atrocious things a to the palestinian people of course again uh to be keep it fair the palestinian people and many people in the middle east want to eradicate israel as a state so i understand again that's where the tensions are so unbelievably high because it's not just uh we don't like one another they want to eradicate one another and so it's very serious and that's why um donald trump uh proclaiming that he would somehow be able to reach a peace deal with his first trip is fairly asinine on par with jimmy carter okay so he also met with president aruban rivlin of israel at his residence visited the church of the holy i think it's sepla and became the first sitting president of the united states to visit the western wall and you wonder if he got some good ideas the president of the first lady are also a dinner with mr netanyahu and his wife sarah did he think these like hot how'd you get the mexicans to pay for this did not hot benjamin they bp tell me how did you get the mexicans to favour this what are you talking about donald.
