"Nine from the south shore of messo county long island johnny boy. All you gotta do. Is jesse jackson me. Also joining me in the studio saying coast. Arthur gabriel's artie. Give him a shout-out absolutely no response as usual. Also hitting me in the high and mighty studios. I can't tell you guys how cool this is. I've been. I've known this dude for like fifteen years exclusively via the internet but over the last couple of years. We've had a lot more to talk about. He's got a little bit more. Free time is a terrible way to phrase that. But he's from the fucking the legend healthy. This is huge for seventies big. I know you have way bigger more important. Use credit usa credits. Now but the seventies it's just in the last six in my g with j g dude. This is fucking thrilling to me to be able to. I like literally was talking to my wife this morning. Who's out of town. And i was just articulating. She's like is this. The guy who you always talking about the his website. I'm like yes. I remember when i was training for. Powerlifting and i was doing that program that essence e v. two year the seventy seventies big l. p. i it's been so crazy to be and then in my history of knowing you like you've then gone onto to great you've done to me crazy interesting. Wild things like big choices in life. That's pretty crazy. Yeah yeah. I think if the yeah let's get let's get into it first of all how you fucking been man healing and feeling it baby. There was there was a big old rough with like trauma and emotional health and ti shit. Which is like what special forces guys or soft guys special operations they get that trifecta of shit and so it can be ups and downs and the different phases of the healing will have different qualities too like irritation rage or sadness and depression or like panic and helplessness and anxiety and fear so i just went through a tough phase and then i was always working on myself for hours every day whether it was physical therapy two years ago in the hospital or doing meditation and journaling and all the emotional stuff and i kind of like finally turned the corner few months ago and so things are going well man and i'm a getting more into the creating the content type stuff. That's i did before. I was in the army and so there is going to be a little bit of a little bit of a cpr on some seventies big stuff. I got to book ideas and linked. And so i can kinda crank the persona up on that and then i'm doing some other stuff with more emotional health or wellness geared stuff. So yeah it's it's cruising and things are looking up and i'm like i'm content in my life. I was never really content. A put a green hat on it was like whatever i want to go to combat. And then like you know just never satisfied. But now i just feel content in what is coming up and what my future will entail. That's great man also in there you so casually talk about like yeah you know. I did some for the listeners. Might not know. we're actually. This episode is coming out a little later in the summer but we're recording on the two year anniversary of your first steps sin. Today's june eighteenth. And i got blown up on five march twenty nineteen and then Less than four months later on the eighteenth of june two years ago. I took my first steps in a put that up on my instagram reposted. It's that it's awesome and frying. When i watch fast seven this morning and then crying again in your fucking instagram. Before we got on man. It's fucking gorgeous it's beautiful. It's awesome to watch yet I remember sitting in the hospital. I don't know if it was my mom or a nurse or something but they're like if you could pick a superpower. What would it be. And i was like well a to walk and then i burst into tears in like So i don't know what trauma there's a thing with dissociation. There's like your brain literally has brain damage and Certain networks of the brain don't properly function and so it's like when you're in the earlier phases of talking about it just almost like results in dissociation so you can almost see that in the video looking back at it that i was just trying to be like it feels like this and sockets and then once i realized what the fuck was happening it was just like iraq me. You're talking about being disassociate. You mean like you sort of. Don't feel like you're inside yourself like while it's happening or hand happen. Yeah that's that's usually around the event itself. I'll circle back that but in this case it's almost like you emotionally dissociate. And so i remember. There's another guy who he's much older than me and he worked In kind of around the capital region walter reads in dc and he got hit by a rocket he lost his lower leg and he would come see me all the time and he was like. How do you talk about this without showing any emotion. Every time i did like i broke down in tears and i was like a have to explain this like six times a day. Because there's not a lot of combat casualties and i'm like i. I almost died pretty hard like i'm a medic. So like when i saw the pictures of what the fuck my legs look like i was like. I don't know how to fuck. I survived and i do know. In retrospect 'cause i trained my dudes had a fucking do this stuff for a long time and they executed properly and save my life and then we also blood units of blood and like a little cold. Pack backpack the interpreter carrying without blood. I pretty sure. I would have died. But i like geez chills. I'm not even higher. What was i going to circle back to Disassociating separate your emotion from it. So what we're doing was a valley clearance in this. We're fighting isis. K which is a Koran off shoot of isis is located in on the border of afghanistan pakistan. And so we're clearing down a valley and then we. There are lots of ideas. Was there a soap either. Standard operating procedure became strong ideas everywhere. Because that's what was working in iraq and syria and as they drew down there those. Tt's the tactics..

"It's me your voice. Number one, their number one. The number one Johnny g joining is. Always Anaheim Mighty studios. My nearly silent co host Arthur Gabriel. That's Arthur crushing that Nyla bone. Also, joining me in the high and mighty studios the birthday boy himself will the birthday, boys. Number one birthday. How did I not say that Paul sheer guys? Still works, man. I will tell you someone the show black Monday right now and get my plugs right away. Different here. Get him. I I out. So the first episode of the show that we're doing after we got picked up was directed by sky McMahon. You looks familiar. How do I know? I was the what's up guy. And I was like really like. Oh, and you always a TV director. He directed. Uncle drew that the basketball. That's. But it was I don't even know this guy. It's crazy where people, and I know. But he was a lovely guy. But he was I was like man that must been crazy. I remember where was when the first commercial aired. It was a New York knick game seven thirty seven pm like the walked it through the almost at the moon landing. Then the about this. I'm sure he has an oral history of Budweiser commercials that he's been interviewing were you? When you're first commercial catch raise catched on John. Did you ever have a commercial? I had never had a good commercial. I was edited out of jello commercial that ended up being the most fruitful thing. I've ever like the most financially viable day of work I've ever had. And I didn't even end up in the final product. I was called the Nate before before commercials shot. Paul you got the part. And like what part like you audition for it? And it was like I don't remember auditioning for but I was young and dumb. And I was near goes are. Yeah, I got the part and basically is brought me into an extra. But I thought I got something so whole morning where do I go there this over here? All right. And so it was like a commercial for Honey bunch of oats. And it was like a support group who love Honey, bunches, oats, and we're all in this fucking circle. And I'm thinking to the league a guy who actually got the part, and like he's like, I'm addicted Honey bunches of oats, and we're all like addicted, and I started saying it out loud. And can you can you say anything out loud because we didn't pay you to say. Go. The harsh reality of the business is landed right on your lap. Oh, no. We do it again and just moving my mouth like just saying those words thinking that needs to come here. Let's over here. And then literally put me right in front of the camera. So back of. Back of my head is Honey bunch of those commercials. It was it was a gut wrenching day going from like a made it got this part of a thing. I didn't even on dishing for and then be fooled by doing extra work is a like a round everyone has to do in entertainment, and some people accidents end up doing it for ten years or purposely. But they every one of them is still fooled. No, it's because you have to like you have to quit yourself. I'm doing something here. Like one of the first gigs. I got soak cited about was it was like USA had this diner in the everyone was sitting around in a diner, and they would just play old people's court episodes, and then the host of walk around. What did you think of that? But the trenches they come over to you is so small sit there from nine to one airing lie. It was live interstitial and you got like one hundred dollars eighty dollars. Dad you go today..

"Mighty shitheads. Welcome back to another episode of high and mighty. It's me your poor. Roy number one. Boy, the number one boy, the number one. Johnny g joining me as always in the high and mighty studios. My nearly silent co host Arthur Gabriel Arthur give them a shout out. Does not even take a break from his bone for his good all dead now again for a few people get confused Arthur is a dog. I do not have an engineer or a sibling that sits in the room silently for one hundred and sixty something episodes. Okay. It's a dog. That's the bone part that I keep talking about. How do you guys not pick up on that? Also joining me in the high and mighty studios not a dog. But a lover of them guys from just between us and the gossip podcast. I got Allison Raskin. Hello. This is the part where you find out you to do an intro great. You're not allowed. You'll see you're allowed to talk. But that doesn't mean I'm going to pause or listen. I mean, you've got a couple of conversations with me at this point. You get it to monologues. I've sat in a wall of volume as you shout. It bullshit. How have you been? I'm in pretty good. I walked here. Whoa. Do we live close? I live pretty close. We'll be weird. If I didn't I didn't why I want to confirm like, oh, do we live close or are you on like, some weird spiritual journey where you like left Silverlake this morning, I on spiritual journey, but I don't live in Silverlake. Are you are you currently on a spiritual journey are? We all always, right? Yeah. We should be. Just striving to not be myself. I'm constantly trying to improve to what level. I don't know. I just don't wanna be this. Which is terrible to say. But very true. I want to be a better version of this person know, my favorite thing is the only thing you can shake compare yourself to pass versions of yourself. Oh shit. I like that. Yeah. Don't worry about beating the other person just beat yourself. Yeah. I also like that. There was no sound check here. Oh, yes. Should I've done that keep talking this? Okay. I should've warned you. I I don't do. I'm sure someone's listening now, of course, is no Sandjak a barely hear either of them. But I don't I don't wear headphones. I don't do sound checks. I don't do any work. Cool, mike. Hey, that's all that matters is a couple of miles a couple of Mike's a couple of minds, and we wound these. These. Welcome back to another sort of high and mighty today. We just have a couple of miles a couple of weeks and a couple of mines. Listening sounds like a fucking NPR show. I'm into it. I think people would listen, I think people should listen. So the topic we talked about you mentioned either dogs or romantic comedies or romantic movies or comedy rom com from com specifically, I wanna get into what is romantic movie are. They just not funny. Thanks dies in the end of that like me before you or whatever comedy to that. Now, I read that book it was devastating. I saw that movie on a plane nearly blew my fucking head. I was like tearing I was like I was everything was going wrong with my body when I watched that I could put myself through such thing, but we were sitting around or dogs. And then you're like, oh, well, I feel like you talked about dogs. But I was I'm finding do either by rom coms or something. I haven't talked about on the podcast yet. And I feel very strongly about what are your thoughts. I love them love them. I absolutely love them. They're like combine everything. It's like good. Looking people. People are funny and. You got a little so said rom com over there and now are getting comfortable always going ape shit. Get ready. They're funny, and they're romantic like what else do you need romance and comedy or like, the two things I need to get through life shoe on them both into one movie. It's so satisfying. It's also just like, I don't know it just like excites me in a way nothing else..

"Influx of fresh blood new talent, and they do have it. Germany produces a lot of great players as a lot of good young players out there. We mentioned early Royce on a team over ner. They are missing center forward. It will be interesting to see if they find him. I don't think team over owners. That guy. He's more of a, I think, a striker maybe winger. Than a true center forward, like a like a mere soft close that they used to have or Mario Gomez guys that they didn't get a whole lot of credit, but they scored a ton of goals. Their positioning was great, and they allowed the players around them to do so much and they ended up being the end result, getting those tap ins, those headers and things like that. So jeff. There's another interesting game Brazil Argentina that you wanted to know what happened there? Well, yes. Brazil and Argentina, like two of the most most popular, you can say soccer national teams that happened, I believe it was Monday, five believe right on that. I could be wrong. I'm making sure that it was yesterday. They played. It was yesterday. Yeah. So what was the score? The score that game was Brazil won Argenti in nothing so Brazil. One one thing in final time and that I think that's huge because Argentina's been known like been rising up in Brazil. They've always been known as one of the better soccer teams of all time. Like nation wise Argentina's been up there recently. So it's it's kind of like a, it's a wake-up call saying, hey, we're still here type of thing. Yeah. It's an interesting game. My my biggest thing about this game was that took place in Saudi Arabia to South American teams that play in Saudi Arabia and Saudi Arabia's has has him controversy politically. It's just weird. Like is this where to go that far for friendly game when when their neighbors. WWE because having a show in Saudi Arabia, it would be like if USA they offered them a lot of money, but it would be like if USA Mexico played in played against each other in Saudi Arabia, like that'd be the same thing like. Rabia paid them money to play. Well, yeah, of course. I mean, there's an incentive there, but. For Argentina. I don't know if it means anything. They didn't have messy. Messy is not playing with the team right now. We'll see when he comes back, but if he comes back name more, of course, played Brazil ruled out a really strong team. I think that we saw the best players for Brazil. We saw Alison, their number one goalie Miranda Martinez Louise's, Danilo continue customer Arthur, Gabriel's zoos, Roberta for me, no and neymar. I mean, that's pretty much their strongest eleven..
