"Would you rather what would you what? What needs to be done? But there has to be a price to be paid. When you do the wrong thing. There has to be a price for everyone. And when you give someone the exact same thing that did it wrong to the ones that did it, right? It's not fair. It's It's the least fair thing that we've done in a long time. So there's a way to work. This. I think where it isn't demonizing people, but it's saying there's a price to be paid. So we'll see what the voters say about this. And as far as proposition all forms of government go, this is why I don't like him. You've got to go through these hoops to make changes, and it's just not the best way to do things. And hopefully that system will change sooner rather than later. But when this goes and I could be completely wrong on this, I could be again. I was wrong on so many other things when it comes to the vote of the people. I just think that there has to be a price that's paid. When you've done something wrong. Your family's done something wrong. It may not be your fault, but the price has to be paid. Well, what about the families that did it? The right way? I I would love to hear from someone. What do you say to those families? What do you say to them? The Arizona Republican Party is making another mistake. In my opinion, we're going to talk about the election. What the courts got involved on the party election who would lead the party? There were mistakes that were made. What will they do about it? We're going to talk about that coming up. Because this is something important. So stick around that you line then. Me. Me, me, me, me, but also you the feral fast forwards his favorite foreign film, but the powdered doughnut..

"I couldn't help myself yesterday while Retweeting the story that I'm about to bring you I added a Jiff that asked this are you entertained? How could you not be a few days after Kelly Ward was reelected at that? Does the chairperson of the Arizona Republican Party, some Republicans are demanding an audit of their own internal election? How can you not bust a gut knowing that Kelli Ward, who pushed the ridiculous idea that Trump had the election ripped off from him more than anybody else in this country? Besides maybe Donald Trump and Rudy Giuliani anyway? Is now having to face questions about the validity of her own election. And this really has to chapter hide as your two elections to the chairmanship of the Republican Party in Arizona are the first electoral wins she's enjoyed in years and years, unable even when primaries for the two different Senate seat she ran for being chair of the Arizona Republican Party is a confirmation that in the words of Sally Fields you love me. You really, really love me. There's reports that by laws and rules of order might not have been followed in the second round of voting, which showed Ward squeaking by with her victory. Sergio Ariano from Southern Arizona has raised questions about losing toward that chair position and has actually asked for an audit of the party's election results. His spokesperson, quite ironically, echoed what many ward crazy Republicans said about the presidential election. Quote. This isn't about the chairman's race. This is about election integrity. I don't know if this on it will actually happen, and Arianna has since said that he doesn't think it's going to change much. But can we still go through it? I need the laughs, things. They're dark right now. We could all use a bright smile on a spring in our step. Of course, I don't hope this ends up going too far and that we see moderate Republicans wearing face paint, animal skins and horns, storming the Arizona Republican Party headquarters. Not only does that have to much potential for people I actually get hurt, like those who believed Kelly wards lies about the presidential election did at the U. S. Capitol. It would also well continue to rip the Arizona Republican Party in half. And like the chairmanship of the Arizona Republican Party, I believe Kelly Ward thinks that's her job..

"Do to ensure the people of Arizona? That we're working on a path to save Livelihood Tze. What is the plan to save livelihoods? Those would be my three major questions that I would ask the governor. That's what I would ask him. What about you? Steve? What would you would you have one? Do you have a recommendation for a question? Yeah, it's less important than those. But I would ask about the Arizona Republican Party and Congressman Andy Biggs have been on a what would you call it a tweet campaign to hashtag unmask Arizona. Andy Biggs told Jim Sharp on Arizona's morning news was that yesterday or two days ago that masks are proven to not help, which is the exact opposite of what we hear from the health Department. I would be interested in hearing from both Dr Krist on the effectiveness of master how she feels about those statements coming from a congressman and then also, I'd like to hear from governor do see about his reaction to his own party. In Arizona, basically going the exact opposite direction that he is. He's all about mask up Arizona there trying to unmask Arizona. Yeah, and and that's and and it's interesting to see the groups of people that have normally been very, very supportive of the governor. On most things when you're looking at some of the legislators that are talking about reopening Arizona and then, of course. Ah, very conservative Congressman like Biggs being opposed any calling this governor out for the masked bandits? Yeah, And I understand, especially Republicans like bigs who are opposed to the shutdown orders. Maybe they're opposed to do see keeping bar's closed longer than maybe he needed to. I would get that argument. But for Biggs to come out and say masks do not work, which is the exact opposite of what the health community is saying. I just want to know where the discrepancy is. Yeah, I don't I think that's a good question. You know, you've got very you got people that are very close to you in a bit on your side on many things now being critical of your max mask mandates, and there's two separate things there, you know. One is the mandate. Can the Governor Governor force you to do it versus someone saying you shouldn't do it at all? That's two separate things right? And I feel that Biggs is trying to make both arguments at the same time, and one of them's a losing argument. My opinion The fact that they don't work is just a losing argument. Yeah, and I wonder your It's a fair question, because I wonder what conversations are going on behind the scenes. This goes back to my communication comments that I've made throughout this restart of our economy. As sluggish as it's been a stop and go is it's been Mike. My criticism has been this. I can't criticize to the governor for the decisions he makes. I believe he's making the best decisions in his mind for the state of Arizona. Whether I agree with his decisions or not, is a different story. But I do believe he has the best interest of the state in mind when he makes the decision. My criticism has been about communication. He didn't speak last week. He's speaking at one o'clock today. Finally. But where is the messaging about reopening and re establishing our economy? I think that is such an important statement to make and what's great about this is unlike the mask mandates and how we were going to shut down what we didn't know about covert 19 where there was a lot of questions of whether or not that's the right thing or the right way to do things because nobody knew When it comes to the economy and building an economy, People trust him. That is his wheelhouse. Will he come out and say we are working on a plan to deliver Arizona out of the hole? We're in. It's not gonna be easy. It's going to take time. But we're working on a plan with the most brilliant minds in the state to re establish this great economy and get back on track. Man. I hope that's what happens today. In some regard. In addition to the school's What about getting the schools opened coming up? Just after 10 o'clock President Trump talks to Bob Woodward and says, I downplayed.

Hey Dave I do better than I deserve what's up. only because they can you say that actually. okay for sure to call. yeah. your entry into the point so I have a question my parents just recently retired and they are sixty eight sixty six years old. they have a nesting about one point five to one point seven million dollars and the issue is I'm I'm from a large family and a number five out of six my parents were basically I mean they're not rabbits but they're Catholic so there's a lot of us and three of the older siblings are kinda using them to bankroll their lifestyle so I was talking to my mom the other day. and basically she said they spent about it she could have been been exaggerating a little bit about three hundred and fifty thousand dollars in three years just financing you know whether it be you know down payments our house is private school for kids additions houses this morning stern there as well but they're just kind of rapidly losing money and I spoke with my parents about this I told them that I was concerned. they don't really not care but it yet since I don't care if they just want to see the kids happy so I got nowhere with them and then I tried to talk with my siblings about it and they were just saying how there's some attention that they care it's their money I have no business talking about the money that I'm I'm selfish basically you know I'd say I don't care about inheritance I just wanna make sure my parents are taking care of as they get older so I tried talking to the insane insane asylum in basically in on ostracized from the family just because you know I'm looking out from my parents what steps do you think that I could take to make sure that my parents have a stable financial future basically I think you've taken all of them and I don't think you can do anything. our parents are not incompetent are there just dependent codependent is not that unusual actually and so on and you know your older brothers sisters are parasites and so then that's not illegal either it's just a it's just distasteful say the least I don't think you're going to fix this I'm sorry I wish I could give you more hope than that and the only the only hope I would have is a couple of things and I'll give you a couple ideas but given the steps you've already taken in the resistance you've already met I think you've lost her footing to have a discussion with any of these people. I don't want to hear anything else from you much. yeah that that I would I would agree with that and I mean help one the siblings you know they they said they weren't aware to the extent of the situation that was and but the other one now I don't know so I mean if you could ever circle back around others two options one is a wonderful book called boundaries by Dr Henry cloud and if your wife is already making me angry that you know and if you ever have the chance to leave that with your mom and dad it would be healthy for them because they're not very good at boundaries and here is what it comes down to here's what the discussion might sound like after you let a cooling off period occur because right now things are pretty hot yeah but next time you know I don't know Christmas for next spring or something you circle back around your mom and dad just the two just the three of you not your wife in the room and certainly not your brothers and sisters okay and just say listen yeah can do whatever you want I don't care what your day. I was lucky I was worried about you and here's the thing I should let my brothers and sisters and you're not helping them. enablers are the kindest most generous people out there and they give money away to keep from facing difficult decisions in conflict. and you think you're helping them but you're not helping them because what happens when they can and if your money anymore they're not going to live like they live because they've never had the dignity of solving their own problems and so you're actually causing your children to be weak. and you're harming them with these expensive gifts and so while you think you're helping the actual irony is mom and dad you're actually bring great harm to them and I really wish you'd quit harming my brothers and sisters. okay and see if they hear that they probably want okay so in leaving with a copy of boundaries that's one option a better option even in that might be if there's someone that has influence with your parents that you could talk to that would be willing to sit down and talk to them about this for instance if they really look up to their priest you said they're Catholic if yeah if they're priest as a man of wisdom and would sit down with them and guide them in the US it and. truthfully if there are mass attending Catholics they probably probably would have great influence with them yes and and he might look at them and be able to say the exact same thing as you said but they might hear it from him where they didn't hear it from you because I powder Jr but. yes sure yeah and so but again he he may not be a man of wisdom he may not be a man of conviction and willing to enter into a conflict situation he might rather just stand back on the side and smile. and I don't know I don't know the priest some of our very tough and very wise in summer wimpy show RG like creatures right and so you know that at it but someone like that that would be in a position of influence with them that they could hear because they're harming themselves and their kids. and it's not devastating it's just aggravating for everyone involved and then if I were you are if you did those couple of different things I would just shut up. and just move off to the side and just love a mall where they are they just is where the is there is crazy in every family my brother every family if any of you think they're not crazy in your family out there it's because it's you Ashley is with us in Texas hi Ashley how are you. I'm good how are you better than I deserve what's up. so on the job I work for currently was recently her chest and my position in at the end of this year and the car I own. down about between five and seven thousand dollars yeah I need about three to five thousand dollars worth of work done to it I want to know should I get the work done on the cars and to kind of soda what was wrong with it. possibly need engine mounts and attempt the time temperature changes messed up I think possibly here what's this car worth. all fable from CarMax for twenty thousand dollars you don't spend three thousand dollars on a four thousand dollar car. okay you saw the car as it is and you go by another car. okay that's that's about four thousand dollars but that is a good car that hasn't got a best of timing chain or broken in motor mount. and there's lots of four thousand dollar cars in good shape good enough shape like that that'll work that way so what do you what do you do for a living. well my work in accounts payable making what kind of money. nineteen dollars an hour has your job hunt going. all other kinda sorry. HM. I'm sorry your honor. but. thank you select I did a really good interview but when I go into the interview like I get really nervous and hopefully better and people mention like in Hungary faster you know the amount I know it took best I'm working on it. another thing I can afford it should be an insurance doesn't cover that in like I'm also a contractor at my job so like I don't get a package one job in behind the saying need to get a job now. later okay here's the thing here's what's interesting you just talk to me. in front of seventeen million people and you weren't talking fast. I don't know why you are nervous talking from seventeen million people that's heartbreaking. Hey I think you can do this I think you can do this and I think you need to go get another job as soon as you can hold on I'm gonna give us some I can calm and stuff including the proximity principal book because that's what you need and then you can get this car straightened out once you get your job landed in because you're pretty scared right now hold on can help you out this is the Dave Ramsey show. let's say you're driving home today and I don't know where you get T. boned and you end up in the hospital in a coma.

"Had a huge huge huge win over the weekend. You may have missed it. That's why we're talking about it. We've been clamoring to get rid of the establishment. Right. Get rid of the tentacles. This looks like it's a start. She is now the big boss of the Arizona Republican party and Kelly joins us now Kelly good morning, and congratulations. Garrett. Thank you so much. Hey, you know, I announced this potential you. Remember, you your fat a rumor out, then I got down from the show that I was actually going to Iran for the chairman of the Republican party of Arizona and and on Saturday it came to fruition. And I was able to be successful and become the only the second chairwoman of the GOP. So it's pretty it was pretty great weekend altogether. My birthday was on Friday. Happy birthday. I got to celebrate with my Republican family on on Saturday habit. Those same family ups and downs that everybody has. And you know, I I'm grateful to you know, to chairman lines, and and the administration has been in place for the shape financially that they left the party in the shape legally that they left the party in some things are looking great for us to be able to have big wins in twenty twenty. And thank you for that. I want to say anything because I don't wanna make it about me. But I just thought you'd be a great choice. And then I threw it out there. And then you came on the show and said, I actually am going to run. So I'm glad at all. I'm glad it all worked out that way. That was it was great it. And I think that that there were there were some shocked faces in the room because it was a it was a very energetic lively meeting on Saturday, not so much. What people people everyone got this have their say, everyone was listening to everyone conformed within the the time limits. So that part was very respectful, but you know, some things turned from how we thought we were going to do it to how it actually occurred. And you know, it really think it was pretty good in terms of people coming together as districts and counties to be able to discuss the issues and discussed the chairman race in particular. And now, I know we've got you know, we've got a lot of work to do. So this is going to be the biggest battle that. We've we've seen. I think. That these these next two years are the most important for our great state of Arizona because are we going to make your Zona Rattigan? Or are we gonna continue down this purple path towards terrible balloonists, I'm not going to allow to happen under my on my walk. Well, and that's what I wanna talk to you about this is Dr Kelli ward, the new head the new chairman of the Arizona Republican party. She's on AM seven ninety what exactly with that position with that title? What can you do what can you influence? What can you make I guess policy here in the state of Arizona? Right. Well, I mean, I have four basically four four priorities that are transformational for the party and first and foremost is activation of the graph roots. We we have the ability to recruit more precinct committee men. And so if anybody out there that is listening, and they've been active, and they call in if they post on Facebook, don't just do those things you're doing those things but become a precinct committee men are Republican precinct. Committee men, especially down in Pima county. But Democrats are activated thing have recruited a lot of PC's. They have more than twice the number that we do right now. But there is huge potential in Pima county for four the precinct committeeman level and the party activity. We've got to make sure that those people are trained on on and have the resources to get out and move Republican voters. So that and that has to be done this year Garrick, we we really have to focus on that building phase this year. So that next year in twenty twenty we've already got an unbeatable army in place that is going to expand beyond the parts pencil out into the communities want lower taxes, and they want border security and they want free market health care. They want access to the doctors that they want. They want their taxes to be low. They want that money not to go into the government coffers. But back in. Into their own pockets for their rainy days. Those kinds of things we need to get out educate the community. So first and foremost, the grassroots are extremely extremely important. And I think a lot of people believe that was my election. The party is back in the hands of the people. There was you know, there's been a lot of centralization of power within the Republican apparatus. And so now it's returning where it belongs outmuscled with the people. So that we can get the job done. The next thing is election integrity. We know that there is valid harvesting that has had gone on for four decades that these emergency voting centres that were set up in in Maricopa County are unconscionable. And we've got her charity integrity of our electoral process. The independent redistricting commission is coming up people on the ground need to know, how to testify before that commission. So that we maintain our strongholds, and we as Republicans expand into areas where we alive. So that is also imperative and then, of course, there's fundraising mess number four it it's not the last. It's it's certainly very important regarding able to do these jobs to be able to provide the resources to be able to get the word out that Republican policies and people who are representing those policies are the way to go get voting blocks. Kelli ward is you're listening to on campus AM seven ninety so one thing. And and I think you kinda touched on it with the grassroots spot. I know that for me for listeners out there. They I guess there's nothing you can directly do. But are we going to basically, see less and less and less of the McCain affect the flake affect those kinds of people that had the same beliefs of them in the Arizona Republican party. Are they going to jump ship? Can you get rid of them there in the offices? What can you do to make sure that we don't have any more of that globalist mentality? Yeah. You know? I think that it's very important as the party to. Be recruiting candidates that represent the will of the people. And so we'll be working with every area. I I wanna see a candidate fielded in every single legislative district in in our in our entire state. We haven't done that as Republicans, and we have to make sure that those candidates are well prepared to be able to communicate a message of low taxes, personal responsibility following the constitution and smaller government as a whole. So we we will be working hard to make sure that that happened. You know, this is this is a bright new day for the people of Arizona and the Republican politics in Arizona because because the people are regaining that power, and they will have a voice, and they will have a respected. They will be respected when they speak. They'll have a listening ear that we can put all of that Republican talent that's out there to work to win twenty twenty. President Trump, of course. Yes. For for the Senate and all the way down valley we concentrate on one or two races. We've got so many races to win. And and I look forward to putting that machine in action when it counts on on during the election process in twenty twenty. I'm sure you heard of that internal memo that was written by Robert Maxwell, deputy communications director is Jerry Maguire memo where he's like, I quit. I can't stand it. I'm done and he talked about under Jonathan lines. And I know he's taking the high road here. And I commend you for that. Because they didn't take the rode with you. But Jonathan lines under his leadership. Basically was the GOP was basically the Doug Ducey campaign. They stiffed other candidates. They didn't help them as much. The fact that the officers were basically empty people were manipulating taking three four five six week vacations while getting paid. I mean, it just seemed like it was a giant mess. What's your what's your take on that memo? Well, as a mom, I asked to clean it up methods. I don't know. Because really I took her me dabble on Saturday. I went to the office on Saturday night to try to take take take a survey basically of the actual headquarters office in Phoenix. And so I know that there are some definite shortcomings and shortfalls that that the party had. It's one of the reasons I wanted to run it become the chairman because despite having more money more paid staffers on the ground a pretty big Republican turnout. We still lost in twenty eight teams. So something didn't translate into into a win. I think that having those people on the ground is very important having money are, of course is essential. But making sure that that message reaches the grassroots and and that people have trust. And and that there's transparency but things are being run with integrity. I think that that's very very important to the people on the ground. There's been some kind of things that happened behind the scenes that we don't we don't know about. And I wanna make sure that our party understands that people run the party, the somebody doesn't you think behind the scenes that are onto. Work. So I don't know everything that's happened in the past. I just know that as we move forward. Things will be different. We will have strong organization. We will have a amazing communication with the public. And with the people inside the party, and we will unify this party. We will bring people here the table. All people conservatives are are definitely welcome in the party. And and we'll utilize that because together we are definitely stronger. And that's how we're going to deliver the eleven electoral votes for Donald Trump and how we're gonna win every every Republican feet possible down. Ballot. Kelli ward is on Canada's AM seven ninety two sounds more stimulating talk. She is the new head of the Arizona Republican party. She's the chairman she went over the weekend big big giant victory. Now, what are the things that that I had a problem with and I know you did too is that the under the old leadership? Lines would not allow a debate between you and Martha and Joe Arpaio. Now that you're in charge. If there's somebody that wants to challenge Martha for twenty twenty or anybody would you allow a Republican primaries are Republican voters and Arizona voters can see what these people are about. You. Are you are you gonna play? I mean, I don't think you're gonna play games the way the way they did. And they they would not let you have a debate with Martha. Right. I certainly will do everything in my power to make sure that we have today because I think that is very important that the Republican electorate CD options before them and and be able to make an informed decision. Not one that simply based on attack ads on the television, which which many people and on radio too. By on on reality on records. And I think that it is extremely important for that to happen. We as Republicans don't anoint. Our our our candidates that that has never been the case, we are free thinkers, we are individualistic and we like to make our own decisions. And I think that that debate process is very very important to have. So that that people can see they want to actually be their voice at whatever level of government. Because in this great Representative Republic that we have people that we elect our voices, and we need to we need to feel confident that they they will be listening to us and that they will be. On on message that that about things that we want to accomplish Kelly one one thing that always got me when it came to debates, and I think Martha was set up, and obviously lines and the and the party let it happen when it comes to debates. It always seems like there's nothing but leftists leftists journalists get to ask the questions. Since you're running the party. What would you demand that it be fair? So Republicans don't get Trounson debates. Yes. I mean, I debate could be set up completely by the Republican party having Republican monitor moderators acting Republican question in a. Not the Gotcha style that we see even on Fox News. But on FOX get in on on all of the major networks that have done debates in the past for some reason, we have the party say, oh, yeah. That's fine. Happy people who attack us every day in the newspaper on on television and on the radio, and let's let them come and ask us got your question. No, I I don't want. Gotcha question. I want real questions on policy that will inform the Republican electorate about how someone will vote whenever they are in Washington DC in Phoenix. So you'll demand. I mean, I remember the the only debate between Martha and Kirstin cinema was on PBS. And it was just right out of the gate. He was just going after Martha and just no no hard questions about Kirsten's past or anything like that. It was ridiculous. So you do everything to make sure didn't happen. Yeah. Those are the things that we as a party to protect our candidates from. We don't need to protect our candidates from Republican voters, we need to protect our candidates from unfair unfounded ridiculous at times, I attack by so called journalists who are out there not to inform the public, but to promote an agenda. That's the job of the party. Yes. Protect the candidates from that. But to allow our electorate to have all the information that they need to make the right choice. Finally. And this is Kelly ward on Canada's team seven ninety the new chairman of the Republican party the shutdown. Trump ended it for three weeks. People are rich hearing into Trump saying that the media is of course, because they let you love to do that that he lost..

"And right now in the center ring of the conservative circus. We have the new chair of the Arizona Republican party. Dr Kelli ward, Dr Kelli ward, welcome and congratulations. Thank you so much James. Oh my gosh. It was a wonderful weekend. My birthday was Friday. I turned fifty. That's not always the woman favorite birthday. I can tell you but Saturday more than made up breath. I. Resounding win. Whether it was fantastic and upon winning Dr ward you immediately called for unity, and we're very gracious to the former chairman Jonathan lines. What are you hearing from aligns camp? Are they going to be cooperative? Or are they going to pick up their marbles and go home for the most part? It looks like everybody really does want to unite the people who were the most vigorous opponents, and and vicious attacks. They've already kind of come around and said, hey, let's come together because we have to win. And that makes me extremely happy and extremely proud. And also extremely humbled. I know that there's a lot of work to do to bring this party together. I'm more than willing to do it. I'm willing to work with everyone. The people who have been in power for a long period of time. But people who felt like the power wasn't taken from them. I think if we bring those two factions together all my gosh, Jamesy. Harris, we are unbeatable in twenty twenty we have the new chair of the Republican party in the center ring of the conservatives. Circus. Dr ward, you spent the last couple of months, traveling around the state talking to stay committee men, what have you been hearing from them. And what is their biggest concern that they want more more people on the ground? And that's why that's my top. Priority is the full activation of the grass roots. We have so much potential in Arizona, even in the places that have been democrat stronghold for a long time Pima county Coconino county over in Apache county, where it's been difficult to wrest power from the Democrats. There's a lot of potential and a lot of people who want to get involved, and they wanna make sure that the Republican party is going to stand firmly beside them and give them the training and the resources and the responsiveness that they need to be able to be successful to do that job. So we're working hard to to be able to recruit during this next several months, you know, between now and September it's going to be wholescale. Recruitment of people who want to get this done who want to work hard for President Trump to make sure that he wins resoundingly in twenty twenty. But yeah that that this weekend by by three percent, isn't what we do that. We give him the win from Arizona that he deserved. And it's gonna take people take time. It's gonna take talent it's gonna take shoe leather. And of course, it's gonna take money. So they're there, but they all seem very ready willing and able to do it. And I look forward to lead the charge one of the things Dr ward that was said before the election and even afterwards, I'm hearing at the McCain camp is still kind of growling saying that it will be more difficult now to raise money, but the reality is in past elections of the money. That was raised didn't go to conservatives. Do you have any concerns about money? I well, I mean, I think everybody has concerned about money because there is donor fatigue out there across the board. But I do know that I've been to work very very closely with the RNC look forward to having a wonderful relationship with them. Them. So that we can use the strategy. I I really am. So impressed that they're using the strategy that we are now getting behind President Trump's that we aren't going to cause division in our ranks before this next election in twenty twenty and that we're going to we're going to uphold him and make sure that he wins, and I've already been in touch with them and and have lots of call scheduled. I've also been in touch with several owners who are ready to come to the table. Blur. Arizona Republican party of Arizona. And I think that there's gonna be more of that to come. You know, people aren't aren't naive. They understand that Arizona is going to be a battleground state and the Democrats see us as a swing state now because of their their successes at twenty eighteen and turning us somewhat a shade of purple, and I'm committed to making sure that Arizona goes red again, not just the presidency and keeping that Senate seat. But all the way down the line all the way down the ballot. That we regain that the Republican majority that we should have in the sense of ring that the conservative circus, we had the new chair of the Republican party. Dr Kelli ward, one of the things that was really unfair. But your race between now Senator Martha mcsally with the fact that the party blocked debates going forward, what will be your policy on that, you know, I I want a Republican electorate to have have access and exposure to all of the candidates so that they can make the decision as to who's going to. Our candidates, but it's not going to be made by big money. And and they give ads now that being said, I would never let our candidates go into the lion's den with data tive mainstream media reporters to attack every single day. And then have you know, lick their chops as they they have their prey before them on a debate stage. I would want those debates could be hosted by Republicans and questions of Republican policy to be asked of our of our candidates. So that they can get their points of view on policy out before the voters who many times and we've seen it on the national stage again and again and again with presidential. We invite these I put journalists in quotes, you're listening to pose the question to our candidates, and they're they're designed not to get policy issues out there on the table, but to forward an agenda that that those particular questioners seem to have and so. You know, I'll do everything in my power to protect our candidates from that. But I also will do everything in my power to make sure that the Republican electorate gets to see all of the candidates and hear from them in in a debate forum in a safe environment with other Republicans. I'll tell you what Dr ward that is a breath of fresh air. And I do believe that if people just had the opportunity to hear from our candidates without the filter of the mainstream media and have you haven't gone through that. And know what it's like the fight against that bad. Oh, I think you bring a lot to this new his new position and is going to give the the good people there on a chance to make a real honest choice into that. I say, congratulations. Thank you so much. Thank you so much. And I think also the one of the roles of the party chairman is to bring our candidates and our elected officials to the people and make sure that they're able to build solid relationships. We are in a populous time it's different time that was thirty or forty years. Ago where people simply accepted that our elected officials stood up in front of them wave their hands set. A few nice words and then escaped out the back. They might take a couple of pictures, and then they're gone now people expect real representation in this Representative Republic, and we can make that happen at the party level as well. Absolutely. Dr Kelli ward who had a huge victory depending on what you're talking to. Is it a fair fair fight wasn't really close contentious. But not close, and we also have an opportunity with Dr Kelli ward now over the party to have real authentic conservatives from from different backgrounds as well. Can I say that? I think I just did. Yeah. I'm talking about the is the left us into identity. Politics is left that goes around putting diversity over everything else. They're diverse look into the versity in the room. Will the reality is here in Arizona. We have diversity when it comes to the Republican party. But under previous administration, I should say management that wasn't embraced. I am hoping that under Dr Kelli ward, we're going to see more Hispanic conservative voices. Regard to see it'll be don't have a whole lot of America's African descent here in you'll who are conservatives. But there are some. And there are involved. But I think what Dr ward I'm hoping that that will be embraced that will be encouraged that will be financed. Because if it is you wanna talk about a revolution. You want to talk about a grass roots revolution. That's going to be opened up to to the Latinas into America's of African descent being welcomed into the party. It'll be amazing. And it will have an impact not only here in Arizona. It will have an impact nationally. I'm just telling you. And. For years for years. My associated with the Republican party America. Try to throw anybody under the bus. But I was sitting here. Like, whoa, whoa. Wow. We could night. How can we don't have more people who are willing to to reach out into bring in into expand? Our base. Famous movie out there called in fear of a black Republican. But it's not just black folks in fear. It was made in the two thousands. But it is did Advantest job of showing how the Republican party was bending more to the to the media really in fear of the media and in fear with the media would say if a democrat really if the sorry the Republicans really pursued minority candidates. So I think that with this change there is something that can be that could happen that could be very very powerful. You know, I have my list here. There are I want to see you list off who the other winners worse year, but I just misplaced that piece of paper. So I'll do that. When I when I come back. We'll be back at six twenty also. I wanna talk about. It's six twenty how the the the Megan McCain mega McCain's reaction to this. Because it's extraordinary Meghan McCain. She was on tour. She was on with van Jones on C N N. She was on the Twitter machine blasting the results of our election here with the Arizona. The Republican party on Saturday. And I'm telling you, she's finding herself in a new world. She's lost. This is not the party that she grew up with this is not the party that she understands and she's afraid that President Trump has put his step on this party. And now that we have Dr Kelli ward or running the party in Arizona. She's afraid all his loss. We'll talk about that a six twenty. Fourteen.

It's now at twelve thousand migrants. The the number of the southern Mexican border twelve thousand and another caravan is gonna leave February sixteenth. But there's no crisis. Right. Third thing. Lamar Alexander Republican says we should be able to get to the funding and get a deal by February fifteenth. We'll see. Three things. I think you need to know. So we have that. What are you at the head of NATO president of NATO said about President Trump is doing I I wanna I wanna jump the Dave. Dave walk McCain STI, Dave. Hey, good morning Garrett. How are you? All right. What's happened, man? So I wanna make a couple of things called. I I thought from the beginning that the president should build a wall fence barrier. Whatever dumping. Secondly, you have kids, and you know, when you're dealing with kids. You can tell them that you're going to do something that you don't follow through with that. They're not going to believe you the next time you wiped out finger at them or or or threatened them with the consequence. And I see that. I was asking Ryan, how do you? How do you still stand up and support the president on Monday morning 'cause I feeling shaved? And the thing of it is is that. Come February, the twenty eighth or whatever the heck the deal is if he doesn't get the funding, which I'm ninety nine point nine percent sure is not going to. And he doesn't build the wall. Whatever you wanna call it. He's he's become just like the other five hundred thirty five. Okay. I don't have you just tuned in have you heard me give state my case as to why. I think he's winning. I just okay. All right. No, no. That's okay. And listen, I I wanted this because I was inundated on Friday after he made a speech by people saying he caved. That's mike. All right. So here's again, let's play that sound bite since you called in. Dave, I want you to hear this just just stay with me said something very key. I thought his speech and we'll play it again. And he's very very poor ninety one horrible number because John beers is a snake, but ninety one here, we go listen to this a bipartisan conference committee of house and Senate lawmakers and leaders. Will immediately begin reviewing the requests of our homeland security, experts and experts they are here it is. And also law enforcement professionals who have worked with us so closely so for the longest time border patrol guys the guys that run the union and their agents, Brandon Judd Arto Cueto told me that Democrats have never reached out to them. They've never have once. They don't wanna they haven't talked to any of them. And they're they're near the experts. So now, I think Trump did this strategically for a couple of years. He said, I want giant concrete wall. Ask for the moon. He knew he wasn't gonna get it. Now, it's done to steal slats. Exactly what border agents and Nancy will never give in to him. And he knows. So he's saying, you know, what I can't come to deal with this. I'm going to open up the government, I gave negotiations I gave compromise. She gave nothing I'm taking myself out dances out. We're going to have Republicans and Democrats meet with the expertise force them to listen to what border patrol says is needed to secure the border. So now, all of a sudden, the Democrats say we're against this. They're not saying they're against Trump. They're seeing their against the border agents, the security experts, and I think that hurts them so very much because Americans aside from a minority of crazies want border security. That's my take on that. I just think that you know, the the what is it? What does this do? I forget what they call the three hundred pound gorilla in the room is the media because the media constantly constantly badgers. Them talk smack about him reports stuff that they should. And like I said bottom line is if he doesn't build something after the fifteen into big slap in the face to all of us yourself included who have stood with okay. Regardless. I got I got you. But what did what I say? Did it dummies sense to you? Do you agree disagree? You don't think it? No. I I totally agree. I think that I was talking with my wife he other day about on. And I was talking to her about the field slapping, and because you can see through exactly what the border patrol said they want in the area. So I think that all makes sense. But it doesn't mean that the Democrats are gonna go along with it. I mean, look at look at Heather mouthpieces of Alexandria, Cossio Cortez for crying out loud accordingly. All over that, man. Balloon cheese. I gotcha. You've got then you've got Kirsten's cinema with Hooker. Outfit. Well, who's probably in an elevator somewhere with Jeff flake or somebody else? I mean, I wouldn't call her Hooker. I call her an appropriate, but that's eight hundred dollars. They're not interested. They're not interested in doing what's right? But don't know again. I don't know how much you list. I played there are at least. I mean, there are dozens of Democrats that have gone on the record and said that a barrier needs to be part of the solution. Even stunning Hoyer, the number two. So I think you take Nancy out Cortez. Listen, even Democrats, don't like Cortez. So you take her out to? I'm just saying I think that's really I could be wrong. That's my take. And I think if they don't they don't come to a deal he's gonna say national emergency any the supreme court. The supreme court has said that he has the power to do that. Be lawsuits and all kinds of crap like that to try and stop doing it. Hey, hang on for me. And I appreciate I want to play one more. We'll we'll delay the NATO stuff. I want you to hear this real quick for me. Also, Dave since you're there. Where ninety seven. Supreme court. Mark meadows, congressman, Mark meadows, Republican conservative guy. Neil Cavuto asked him about that. Right. He says, hey, so you know, he's going to be big lawsuits and stuff like that to stop him. If he declares a national -mergency. And he he says I don't think there's going to be listening to why here y'all less look at ten USC sections to seventy four to eighty four and to your viewers..

"Wait. Forty two. News radio. Three things. I think you need to know. Number one. President Trump is a big freaking deal man promises. Made promises kept into the the the media doesn't want you to like know. I is crazy to me. You have the president signing the new trade deal with Mexico, Canada and us needs to be ratified by our congress. But this is a big deal. This is a positive deal. The big he said he was gonna do it NAFTA stunk. You don't wanna NAFTA Jeff flake? We'll get to that. In a second. Second thing that I think you need to know is that a deputy marshal was killed in the line of duty yesterday. Trying to issue a. A warrant for the this this guy this nut job that was stalking. A law enforcement officer oracle, and Glenn is where it happened in this deputy marshal. Unfortunately died at the hospital terrible TD was able to get this guy to come out of his house without any further shooting. And he's now in custody third thing, I think you need to know the immigrants swords the migrants. Let's just say look the migrants down in Tijuana. They have now staged a hunger strike some of them. Hunger-strike? Why what's going on hunger? Strike. Yes. A hunger strike. Because they want the asylum process to speed up granted the guy that talked to writers that's behind it. The Honduran guy said he wants to get to America. So he can get a job and send money back to his daughter. That is not asylum three things, I think you need to know. One more thing since we're talking about Jeff flake tweeted this out, and I'll put it on Facebook. Jeff flake, holy conservative judges and the rest of this country hostage because of his out hatred of President Trump is so disgusting. So bad. Yet. Nobody from the Arizona. Republican party has condemned him. Jonathan lines is the chairman of the Arizona Republican party. He's the guy that wouldn't organiz bait for Republicans between MC Sally, Kelli ward and Pyo because they're all in cahoots. They're all in cahoots. And. And Jonathan lines did everything he could to sabotage Kelli ward and make sure MC Sally one. Which was you know, I it was a loser losing move. And the fact that Jonathan lines is not condemning leading the way to condemn Jeff flake and say put your personal hatred of the president aside and confirm these frigging judges man, it's for the good of Arizonans. It's for the good of Americans. Do it. Nothing from Jonathan lines. This is another giant example of why Kelli ward who announced on the show last week that she's running for Zona Republican chairman probably she needs to be in there. And this guy needs to be given the boot this guy Jonathan lines. I'm pretty sure Kelly would probably condemn. Anybody that would do an act that Jeff flake is doing? And it's pretty pathetic that you have this this old boy network led by these establishment freaks. It's from. It's the McCain tentacles on down in this. Jonathan lines is part of it. That. That he won't you won't condemn Jeff flake. You know, and listen apparently, a reputation because this Jonathan lines made himself available right before the primary between ward mix alley Pyo got a press release sent out to all the media. So I said, hey, I'll get on the show. Can I you come on? And all of a sudden, he's not available to come on the show, these weasels that won't answer questions. Amazing. Isn't it? It's amazing. So we have that. All right. Eight zero eight eight zero five six seven eight I have oh, man. I have more stuff that I wanted to get to as well. But. You know? Let's let's also talk about oh, let's let's do this story. They wanna they wanna hit up the the media. Having orgasms about Michael Cohen in that story. And that's coming up. However, there's a story I've had I'm gonna just talk about it. This is a waste tax dollars. The year this one the nationalists health is spending six hundred twenty thousand dollars to track transgender women of color in New York City. What? Yep. This studies conducted by New York University tracking trans gender women on and off for two years to know the travel patterns of trans women to mobilize HIV prevention efforts. Wait what? So they have to study the travel patterns of transgender women. To mobilize HIV prevention efforts. Do all trans women travel. The same way. In the women's section. Where where what does this even mean? What does he do? This is nothing. The studies recruiting New Yorkers who identify as transgender women, which they define as individuals who were assigned to male sex at birth. But identify as women female trans women, trans female, male or female or another diverse trans feminine gender identity on the spectrum. At spectrum is growing by the day. Isn't it? Yeah. They gotta be between eighteen and fifty five have no plans to move away from New York City within two years carry a small GPS device for two weeks at five points over the next two years. And they're going to measure social networks, and I guess they're trying to figure out if they get HIV or not. Eight. What? Six hundred twenty thousand dollars. My money six hundred twenty thousand dollars for that. Yeah. Oh, let's play one more. Let's play sound by real quick. If you Michael. Todd Young's Republican Senator from Indiana. It's number twelve. He was on morning Joe face with meek is facing whatever. And he had this the stooge Mike barnicle talking to Mike barnicle. He's a crusty old Gajah this guy. I don't know why they have troops on the southwest border. Is just terrible is is terrible. Turns out this. This Republican Senator Todd young is is a marine if number eleven ready, right? He's a marine. I'm sorry. Number twelve twelve number twelve. So it's what it says right there, right? You're good. Yes. Number twelve. So he's marina. And you got to hear the answer yet to hear the question. I left the questioning in there because it's just so so biased you name it. Listen to this. Here we go. Senator I would like your view on troop deployments troop deployments here in the United States. We have thousands of soldiers and marines along the border. They've come from Camp Pendleton, Fort Hood, Fort Bragg, all over the country. They've been there for weeks. It looks like they're gonna be there for weeks to come. They're eating 'em are reasoned Thanksgiving Day, they're going to be away from their families again during the Christmas holiday your view on that troop deployment, I'm only smiling because I was deployed is United States Marine on the southern border of the United States. I worked for an unmanned aerial vehicle. Squadron in the Marine Corps, and we were charged with among other things coming up with new doctrine to figure out to secure our southern border. So this is not unprecedented to use the military, especially United States marines in ways that the president would direct a nation that cannot secure its borders. It's often been said is not indeed a nation. There you go. I was there. This is a new. This isn't new. But they act like it is isn't it? That's why people can't stand the media. Are we gonna have a little bit more coming up? You know, what we inches? We'll we'll do the Tucson guy coming up on Monday. We'll do that the border chief. Just just some lawyers. Having the same attitude is about this whole Michael Cohen situation that there's literally nothing there and the media having basically orgasms trying to act as if there something to this Michael Cohen story, you got to hear these. I mean, they basically said what I said is there? Since their lawyers. You can believe them a little bit more. There is nothing here. And I even have one sound bite where Neil kavoodo was trying to figure out. Is there anything really here? Like either should be being told. There's something here. There's nothing here is there. I mean, even even the people that meet some people the meteorology tough time realizing there's nothing there..

"Bob McClay on Arizona's news station. KTAR news. Get some perspective. Bruce St James and Pamela Hughes. KTAR news on ninety two three SM. You know, as we as we got closer and closer to election day couple of weeks ago. And then the way over a week to find out who some of the winners were right? A lot of time was spent trying to analyze some of this is exit polling some of it is looking at the actual data. You know, you can go on the Maricopa County recorder's office. Arizona state. You can look at the actual votes. You could see the exact numbers you can see where they came from. You. Can you can glean demographic information from it? The Arizona Republican party. And specifically the mic Sally campaign did a. I use the term post mortem I've heard it referred to that as before. But after you lose an election, you go back and figure out why the heck did we lose? And they came up with a variety of different what they believe worthy causes. Why Martha mcsally came up? We know now about sixty thousand votes short, and I thought some of it was interesting some of it you could understand some of it was. You know, they talked about the amount of money that was spent how how many of you were complaining and looking to get away from the ads running. Air campaign, but the eight campaign they they spent plenty of money on their own though. So, you know, careful with that. But what they found was in. In an election. That was so narrow one percent of the one percent either direction decided. Marla mix alley. Was it trying to appeal the Democrats fine? She didn't do great with moderates. But the reason she lost. She couldn't carry Republicans specifically Republican women a lot of women didn't want to vote for her. They say because she stood up next to with President Trump, President Trump supported her and since no, right minded woman. And I mean, correct minded not right or left. But correct minded woman would ever vote for Trump, and they definitely wouldn't vote for another woman who stood next to Trump. And if you remember when Trump was here a couple of months before the or maybe it's about a month before the election. He stood up there with Mick Sally and supported her and tweeted about her rate, and she accepted that and she best in the area of that. She also I mean, if we if you're going to be fair about this. She walked away from some of her positions. She held as a congresswoman positions that were critical of Trump. She did the one eighty hardly the only politician to do that. But she ran away from the moderate position. She ran away from the middle and ran towards the fringe and the mic Sally campaign has come back acknowledge that was mistake. Yeah. Probably wasn't a great idea. They conceded. The middle took care cinema, and the reason here cinema one the middle is they weren't standing in the middle anymore because he can't stand next to Trump and claim to be anywhere in the middle as specifically with women. I thought it was pretty interesting. Here's something weird. You know, you look at this mic. Sally got almost the exact same percentage of votes that Trump got. Forty eight percent, by the way, Trump got less than fifty percents about forty eight percent. And he lost popular today than he was two years ago. During the presidential election. So they hitch their star. To descending star. Do you? See what I'm saying? They weren't on the ascension as in let's go with where the populace is headed. They're going the other direction. And I think it's a microcosm. And believe me. There's plenty of politicians around the country looking at this saying the Republican party has a problem with women specifically white educated women if you're going to look at if you're narrow it down white educated women who self identify. I'm a Republican I'm conservative. I'm. Prolife. I'm I subscribe to all these Republican policies still not gonna vote for anyone stands next to Trump. So how do you explain the mic Sally situation in the Ducey situation? Both Republicans interesting, and because Ducey got more votes than MC Sally did in the state of Arizona. He if if Martha mcsally if everyone who voted for Ducey had voted farming Sally, she wins it going away going away. But people split that vote people saw. Ducey's version of being Republican different from Mick Sally's version of being Republican. Do you think it only had to do with the fact that makes Sally made it known that she was standing next to Trump so to speak whereas Ducey, he he's distanced himself seemed to do around camp Ducey ducey's relationship with Trump is out of a necessity being the governor Mick Sally looked for it. I think there might I wonder I honestly don't know how some people. You know, that we expect our governor to when the president comes and you stand there, and you meet him at the airport you where we expect that right now that's part of the job. Whether you're in our whether the president's own already you're supposed to do it. Mkx. Sally. Corded MC Sally went down the Trump pep mic. Sally, disavowed her votes and her comments being critical of Trump and got on the Trump train, and ran it right off the cliff. So you mentioned that other politicians around the country Republican politicians are looking at this and maybe scratching their head and rethinking their strategy. Do you think trying to figure out what in God's green earth? Are we going to do to convince women that were not on the Trump side? Right. So do you think in the future they're going to try to separate themselves from Trump, or at least not ask for his support or get the photo op with them? But the flip side is there are some Republicans who lost because maybe they're finding out. They didn't embrace Trump. I think of Mia love up in Utah. She lost a Republican, and she wouldn't stand next to Trump go. So is it a damned if you do damned if you don't you'll get a lose either way, which which principle do you wanna lose on? Because you cannot deny the fact that white educated women. Do not agree with President Trump. That is a that is a that is even if he like some of the financial aspects of you know, how he thinks straight. It's the fact of who he is done style. Right. Is that fair? Yeah. So substance behind it just the person that he is repulsed by immigrants and children and women people. Just people comments he makes towards women Ingenio in war heroes and victims and wildfire victims and stuff. It's just I think he will never have their support. I think you're going to you're going to be seeing a lot of Republicans looking at this looking at them excel sitting in the state of Arizona if a Republican can win the Senate seat and one of the big reasons they lost is they couldn't bring Republican women to their candidate Republican women. Too many Republican Mohammed this more Republican women voted for voted for cinema than democratic women. Voted for Mick Sally times ten when you've been close that wasn't a two way street. You also look at the reality. I think we finally got the they just call the race in California, by the way, we're really I think it was the final house race. Wow. For a democrat went into this other. The number was forty plus forty which beat all the predict projections. Democrats picked up forty forty seats in the house. That's the largest number since Watergate, and I still hear people going. It wasn't Blue Wave. What are you talking about Trump claimed victory on election night? Everything was great. We did awesome. Remember lost forty seats in the house, the largest since Watergate and many many many of them lost their seats because they couldn't convince Republican women to vote for them because they were too closely tied to Trump. And I don't know what I mean if you come out against them. He tweets mean things about you and Colt forty five won't vote for you. And you lose if you don't stand next to him, and you don't wear a red hat and chat locker up. The D loses. Well, how do you walk that fine line again credit to Doug Ducey credit to governor deuce use appeared to walk that line where Republican women see governor Ducey berry differently than they see Martha mcsally Republican women see the two as very different as evidenced by the vote totals. I bet strategists are really taken a good look at Arizona now. Well, twenty twenty years is. Let me put it this way you sitting down. I know that you are by the way. You're looking. The first debates presidential debates. On the decide. He pulled me this year. We're coming up. That's how close we are to the next election cycle. We're going to have televised debates over the presidential election coming up in the next six months. Sorry, sorry. I hope none of you threw up in your mouth. I apologize. If I really wears. But that but that was what happened in two thousand and. Fifteen as we we headed towards. Yeah. That's that was the schedule back. Then I didn't realize it was that. I just hadn't stopped to think about how close it was are you headed to the family for the holidays. So how would you react if upon showing up for Christmas dinner, you were handed a Bill before you sit down. We're going to need you to pay for Christmas dinner, one mother-in-law's doing it. We'll tell you about that after Bob McClay checks in with our top stories..

"News. A our news on ninety two three FM. Get some perspective. Bruce St James and Pamela Hughes. So what's going on? Now, if you think that it is there's something going on. If you think there is some shenanigans because we are over a week removed from the midterm election. And we still don't have all the votes counted. Well, I would only encourage you to go back and look at history because history has shown that it takes usually much more than a week to count all of the votes the difference. This election is that we have races that are so close. That they can't call them because of the outstanding belts. Normally give me. An example. They call Doug Ducey as governor on election night because the outstanding ballots ain't gonna change the outcome of that elect, right? He was he was prohibitively in the league, right? We have a secretary of state right now still not been called still not being called because it's still too close. They're still counting. But is the fact that they're still counting ballots is the fact that some Democrats won statewide office or national office cinema and the Senate proof of some nefarious activity. Well, the Arizona Republican party thinks something's fishy ever received so many complaints and concerns about the voting process and then on top of Adrian's emergency vote centers. And it seemed like maybe a coordinated effort with the cinema campaign. Encouraging people to show up to vote at emergency vote centers without ID. We just decided to take a holistic approach to everything and and get to the bottom and get some real facts. Jonathan lines the Republican party chairman Adrian, he's referring to his Maricopa Kenny recorder Adrian Fonterra's that these emergency vote centers that were set up where we're very clear, I remember us talking about them, you could you could file a provisional vote. If there was an issue with your voting center, if you if if there was an issue, you could go to money's emergency centres, and all that did was also gave them the opportunity to check out whatever the information was in the right and verify that you are a legal voter and your vote then counts that not I don't see that as proof of of anything. We are Jonathan lines though was asked what is the goal of this who wants to be prepared for the next election. But second people have lost faith in the election process when they hear and see irregularities. You know, they ask themselves. Why should I bother to participate in this process and oftentimes stay home? So we want to ensure that our election integrity is intact. Jeff money in for Pamela Hughes. Jeff did people stay home at this election as they were concerned about voter integrity voting integrity, or or we're concerned about any of this. There's a report today. And this does not surprise me at all that the midterm election was conducted ten days ago. Resulted in a record amount of of voters turn out that was record-breaking blue blue all other out of the water. If there was if there were people who were saying, I'm disenfranchised discouraged because I don't I can't depend on the accuracy of the ballot count. Who are they? And the argument falls apart on face value. If your argument is that because of the way votes were counted because of polling centers, you didn't even show up. Well, how the hell did, you know? There was a problem before the only problems they have are these fantasy the tinfoil hat crowd believes there were issues. And the only reason they think there's issues is because all of their candidates didn't win exact again voting irregularity voter fraud is the new code word for I don't like how this election turned out. I don't like that more people voted against me, then voted fine a sore. Loser. Absolute it's all it is. That's all it is and the Republican party. I think knows how to read bath. And we had some of their consultants. We've had some of those strategists in there, and they know they lost Maricopa County, and you know, why they lost Maricopa County because women. Specifically college educated women voted overwhelmingly against Republicans. They weren't necessarily enthused by Democrats, but they really don't like Republicans. So the Republican strategy is we need to stop so many people from voting, right? And I I had to tell you going into the midterm not this the primary in September the. Yeah, the primary in September. But the November midterm general election. I was very curious to see we had been hearing for two years that boy, you know, women are going to get out. They're gonna make voices heard. And I was really curious to see if that really happened. Well, I think we got our answer. Not only did they show up. But in the past women had been nearly fifty fifty right? Nearly fifty fifty are versus the that's not true anymore, and the and the guy in the White House better keep that in mind as he starts to put together his campaign for another term. So as opposed to the Republican party looking at how can we better? Engage. College educated women or women in. General we're going to talk about how can we how can we cast doubt on elections? And what can we do to stop so many people from voting right because that's our only chance at winning elections in the future. That's not a good sign. I noticed that they they believe the cinema or these others are problems. But they don't have any problem that Doug Ducey got the most votes in the state of of all candidates. Doug Ducey got the most. Yeah. They don't seem to have a fraud in that way. Count. Every who who voted for Ducey that you now? Yeah. They do a disservice by by sowing the doubt that.

"News. Arizona's afternoon news with magin, Gaydos. News ninety two three FM. You just heard Becky Lynn say in her newscast. There has been an agreement as far as the voting situation and a lawsuit by the Republican party in Arizona brought against fifteen different counties. Fifteen counties in Arizona Republican lawsuit alleged that the all the states county recorder's they don't follow a uniform standard for allowing voters to address problems with their mail in ballots. So the settlement has been reached Arizona, Republicans and Democrats have agreed to allow rural areas of the state a chance to fix their ballots all counties will allow voters to I guess cure their signatures, which means fix the signatures through and make sure that they are. They are right through November fourteenth. That's what Maricopa County has always been planning to do. Correct. But there is, but there's more there's more to this story. The Arizona Republican party. And now national national Republicans if you will are jumping up and down about this election, and they have a problem with America county recorder and have accused him of things that are pretty personal. And in our in our estimation. Pretty heinous joining us now is Adrian font has COPA county recorder. Mr. Fonterra's, it's always good to talk to you. But man, what a week this has been. How are you? I'm doing great. As a matter of fact, I just spent I took about forty five minutes and went to my kids school. They were having a recital for Veterans Day. And I heard the third graders sing for a few minutes. Non back at the work warehouse back at work, former marine, correct? Semper fi. Thank you for your service. So Mr. Fontes, let's go over what happened in the courts. Just a few seconds ago. Does the settlement affect anything you're doing in Maricopa County? No, this is an absolute affirmation of the adjustment. We made here in Maricopa County. This is exactly what I had proposed earlier on. This is exactly what folks were trying to stop me from doing. And now, they have all agreed that this is the right process. And I'm very glad that we are all on the same sheet of music, and I feel vindicated. So you're gonna keep counting votes, you're going to keep trying to cure these certain votes. That may be signatures. Don't match up you continue to do that. No problem. Absolutely good enough for the voters that showed up on election day without their ID to be able to cure. There's within certain number of days afterwards. It should be good enough for those early voters who drop their ballots off in the envelopes with signature they can also have now the same opportunity under the settlement. I'm very excited about. It Adrian Fonterra's joins us. He's the Maricopa County recorder. We know that the democrat. I'm sorry. The Republicans brought this lawsuit the other day and they've attacked Maricopa County. But now they've attacked you the Arizona Republican parties accused you of premeditated destruction of evidence and voter re regularities in this election. Do you know what they're talking about? And what evidence do they have? I have no idea what that means. And I would assume you're pretty angry because that's a personal attack. No, I'm not angry about it. It's just you know, it's political nonsense right now, they sent me a letter awhile back telling me to hold ballots from the emergency voting thing that we ended up doing under law, which is exactly what is allowed and required. And they wanted me to hold the ballots as evidence, which is insane. And it's also a violation of federal law. If I have a valid ballot. I've got count it. I can't. Sequester it and and catalog it and keep that person's identity attached to their votes. That's crazy. Now, the other half of that is the envelope. I'm absolutely happy to have those envelopes put to the side those that were were that we could put to the side because they're notice came to us late. So all of the envelopes that we could hold aside if there's litigation in the future, which by the way, there is no lawsuit pending, and I have no legal obligation right now. But in these sorts of circumstances folks will say, hey, we might file a lawsuit hold onto these things. So those things that I could legally hold onto. I am those things that they want me to hold on which are the votes of legal legitimate American citizen voters. I didn't you know why? Because those votes needed to be counted with everybody else's vote. So that's what I've done and can you go into a little bit. You said it's also federal law. What what does that mean what what is the federal law? That says you have to do what if I've got a valid ballots to count it. This is in control election for congress, United States, Senator etc. So you. You know, this is where there are consistencies if I have a valid ballot. From a valid voter. This is their voice. This is their vote. I don't have any right under any circumstances to hold that away from tabulation. I don't have any right to hold that separate. So that some litigation can go beyond the time when we would have a canvas when I could count it. And I think it's outrageous that somebody thinks that that's some kind of evidence in their possible lawsuit in the future that they're thinking about filing. Now, I have a record that they voted during a certain period of time that they don't think I could have allowed folks to vote. That's fine. I have the envelopes that they would have signed. So that they could vote. That's that that time that's fine too. We can have the litigation if they want, but there's no way I was going to let them get those votes to be not counted not on my watch. Arizona Republicans are saying that our guest America county recorder. Adrian font has has destroyed evidence from midterm elections. Here's the second part of it, Mr. Fontes yet the state. Republican chairman Jonathan lines says that you a democrat, and I quote cannot be trusted to administer elections in Arizona. So he so he's saying you're a democrat you're against the Republicans. How can you how can you count votes? That's the dumbest thing I ever heard of. Well, look, I'm an American. I I swore in constitution of the United States of America. And the state of Arizona these votes that are coming in. I would have no way of knowing who who's voting for anything like that. So Mr. Lyons in his hyperbole are bad for our democracy. I hope that folks all over the political spectrum will understand whether you're a tea party patriot. Or whether you've got a pink knit cap on your head. We are all Americans. I our votes are all going to get counted. Under my administration and let the winners be discovered. Once we are done with a thorough, accurate and accountable election. That's. Where I stand. That's what I volunteered for years of my life in the Marine Corps to defend and I-. Interestingly find myself defending it still. So basically he's saying that you're fixing the vote, right? Well, I frankly, I don't really don't care what he has to say. I've got an election to run Adrian Fonterra's. Maricopa County recorder joins us any thought of suing for defamation something like this. When all of a sudden done, you know, look you consider the source if Mr. Lyons was worked suing for defamation. I might consider what he's not. So whatever we don't need anymore lawyer's fees in court fights, we just need to get on with being Americans getting this election over with. And you are yourself a lawyer. So okay. Yeah. But a lawyer saying we don't anywhere lawyers with me anymore. That's a pretty big statement eight Mr. Fontes, what do you think of if if they don't trust you to count the votes? Okay. And you're talking about the Arizona Republican party if they don't trust you to count the votes. I you counted the Ducey votes and he won. Right. Ironic, isn't it? It is ironic. You know, there are other Republicans that actually one in votes that you counted. But. Let's just let's just let's just put this on the table. This is political gamesmanship is posturing, it is distraction, and it is frankly, not worthy of much more discussion. What we have here. Here's a good election. Every board that I have in here is made up of Democrats, and Republicans and independence and greens. And libertarians in opposing political parties clearing through these ballots doing the work that has to be done. We've got hundreds of good patriotic Americans in here making sure that this election runs. Well, it's the exact same chief staff across the senior management in this department that we've had for decades. In fact, our election directors been in this office for more than a quarter of a century. So for them to be thinking that all of a sudden, everything has changed. It's just political hyperbole, and it doesn't help Americans have faith in our elections to have faith in our institutions and faith in our democracy. It is destructive to the American fabric. And I frankly am. Not very happy about it. Adrian, Fonterra's Maricopa County recorder. So I don't know the answer to this. If you can tell me, that'd be awesome. Did did you change any of the rules? When you got in there about counting the votes twenty sixteen. Yeah. Did you change anything like can't change those rules? Those are all state rules and federal rules. So no, I didn't change any of the county securing ballots. That was always there. Yeah. We we are following the law. I mean, look he's been doing it for fifteen years. You know, Virginia Rosser Republican down in Pinellas county. He's been doing it for years. Well, like, I don't know why this is all of the sudden the big issue that everybody needs to be suing over and over by the way, the Republican party just agreed that this was the process that everybody should be going under the where in the world is the controversy. The rules that I put in the wolves that I started using in two thousand eighteen or the rules that the Republicans now want us to go under statewide. Why is there criticizing me? And that's the part that we don't understand either. You would think that they would want to go after these other counties that aren't staying late from seven eight at ten P every day through the weekends to cure these votes, and we have two sources saying that there are other counties that are actually destroying ballots, in some cases, you would think that they would want to go after them. We can't understand why they are going after Maricopa County and now personally attacking you when you've you've stood up and said, I'm doing it the right way, I'm following all the federal and state guidelines. We just don't understand. And maybe it is gamesmanship. We just don't understand where the Republican party is coming down on Mr. Fontes. I've been tough on you the last few days. I, you know, I don't like the system of how your counting the votes. Take time. It takes drives me crazy. But the one thing I do know about you is you are trying to count every single vote. I get I get that. And I swear you're saying that's a right thing to do. Even though it drives me nuts that it takes nine days. Business of driving you nuts or no. I know. But. Okay. I don't have any problem with Republicans Republicans on my staff. Right. We have to have a robust discussion among different points of view in this country that kind of intellectual pluralism is what the founders required. Otherwise, we wouldn't have elections in the first place. You see what I'm getting absolutely? There's a country that was founded on diversity of thought it was founded on diversity of position and these battles are supposed to be fought at the ballot box. Look, I feel filmed a thing with with the county. Attorney Bill Montgomery just the other day talking about how the ballot boxes where we settle our differences. And that's right..

"The parade starts at Montebello in central run. Southbound we hope to see you there again. It's another great event. And thanks for thanks for Sanderson Ford for helping us out on that. All right. So we know that there's a hearing going on right now over the election in Arizona, where the GOP is challenging the way all these different counties handle mail in ballots with pending signature verifications. There are thirteen counties that handle it one way. It seems that miracle county and Pima county handle it another way. I know that sounds really. I don't even want to get into that. Because we did it all yesterday. Hopefully, you heard the show, but that's going on right now, we're gonna get monocle instrument when when the judge makes a decision, but. My goodness. If you thought that the Knicks Sally cinema race itself was nasty with the ads with the debate with the ongoing, ripping each other. The Arizona Republican party. Arizona Republicans are accusing Maricopa County recorder. Adrian font as of a couple of things. Now, we know that listen Fontaine's, by the way, he's going gonna come on the show at three o'clock because I guarantee you. This guy's furious. Oh, he has to be he has to be beside himself. Because listen, I've given the guy a hard time all week. I don't like the way votes are count. I don't like the way Arezzo does elections. But you didn't get personal. Of course, not. This is now personal no question about it. Mac. I'm glad you said that Amazon Republicans are accusing Maricopa County recorder. Adrian font is remember he's in charge of all the ballots in Maricopa County, they're saying, hey, this guy's destroying evidence premeditated destruction of evidence and voter irregularities because of him. Hey, this guy he can't be trusted to administer elections. Republicans Zona and nationally are starting to claim that Adrian Fonterra's is screwing up this election. Yeah. And he's only one guy in one county. Right. So we'll give you a couple of the. Of the quotes. Okay. You have state Republican Arizona state, Republican chairman Jonathan lines. He is accusing Fonterra's saying, listen, the guy's a democrat. He and I quote cannot be trusted to administer elections in Arizona. Okay. So is it just because font is is a democrat said it so since he's a democrat. He can't be trusted, but in years past when Helen pursell held that office, and they were doing the elections the same way Arizona. I think I think she was elected seven times. Okay. Yeah. She was first elected in one thousand nine hundred eighty eight she's a Republican she served until twenty seventeen. So she was in that office for a long time font has taken over, and we know what happened in two thousand sixteen but she was never personally accused of you can't trust her or she's deliberately destroying her hiding evidence. So the Arizona Republican party doesn't think Fonterra's can be trusted to do these elections because he has a d next to his name. All right. So what's the evidence? What's the evidence? What did he destroy? What's the evidence of destroying evidence? Why can't you trust? This guy. Is he burning votes is he like getting one one of those big garbage cans putting on the votes in lighting a match. He says, no. I'm doing it. The way I'm supposed to do it. I'm counting every vote. That's what he says. Okay. So unless they have something to the contrary, and they have tangible evidence credible evidence show, it tell us what it is. So the the the thing that what are what are they what are the Arizona Republican party thinking that this vote is too close. And he can't be that cinema is up by eight thousand two hundred votes. Think about it yesterday. She was MC Sally was was ahead seventeen thousand. Yeah. And then by the end of the day, she had gained nineteen thousand to overcome MC Sally by two thousand votes, and then got got seven more. So they're going poppy. It's fishy. Right. But to claim somebody is deliberately destroying evidence. Man. You better have a solid case or else, you're gonna look foolish or you're gonna look like it's going to be a politically motivated thing. Which makes people think I can't trust these people. That's what I can't stand. So in. So what you're saying MAC is if if the Arizona Republican party is going after Fonterra's Saint he's untrustworthy. There were voting irregularities. He premeditated destruction of evidence. What you're saying? Is that the audience right now is hearing that and now many of you think well, I don't know if my vote counted or not right because they've offered no evidence so far or the evidence that they have offered doesn't make sense. We talked about this yesterday. If you have a problem with counting the votes, why are you going after and and pointing out to Maricopa and Pima county as the outliers not the other counties because we heard and we have two sources now that say other counties have destroyed ballots in the past yet, you're going after Maricopa County who has said time and time again, we are counting every vote. That's why it's taking longer at seven o'clock on Tuesday. We didn't say okay, everything in. This pile goes in the shredder Maricopa County did not do that. Correct. Mira COPA county. You're not going after the other county. Good point it just. Does it just doesn't pass the commonsense? And and what's going to happen in the next election? Or are they going to be people out there that say, you know, I remember a couple years ago that state Republican chairman guy he said he said there was a whole bunch of fraud. And you can't trust the person who's in charge of it. Maybe I just won't vote that could happen to really bad, and that's caused and that's called voter disenfranchisement as well. So again, it sounds to me like the Republican party is throwing everything up against the wall to see what sticks worried they're gonna lose a couple of minutes. We'll talk to Monica Lindstrom who is at a hearing right now about about this a different case or okay. Different injunction like. We'll find out from her. Right. But when you say to throwing everything against the wall. You're right. There's a hearing taking place now one thing. And then what we're talking about is is Arizona state, Republican chairman Jonathan lines. We've reached out to like to get him on the show. He says Fonterra's is a democrat can't be trusted to administer elections in Arizona. So so let me just throw this in. So you guys over there at the Republican party? You were okay with the votes that were counting for Doug Ducey. Right. You're good with that. Because you're on you're okay with that one because he won. Oh, I see. Okay. You're okay with that one. But you're not okay. If there's a democrat winning. I see that doesn't see mean it doesn't pass the common sense test. And I'll tell you something. I've said this for a long time, I believe it Arizona's becoming way more purple. And there are going to be independence out there that look at this and say, the Republicans are a bunch of dopes for doing this or this election. Shame on them for doing it. If you have a real claim if you if you if there's something there and you want to sue go. Go ahead. Right. But they're not doing that. And I agree with that. Let's get everybody every county on the same page. I totally agree with that. But you're you're aiming your guns at the wrong counties to do that. I have a problem with the counties that are throwing out ballots destroying ballots. Not counting ballots. What I feel the right way. I think Maricopa and Pima are doing it the right way yet, you're attacking the people that I think are doing it. Right. And I'm not a democrat. What are you trying to do? We're not Republicans either. We're independence. We think that both parties. My goodness. Are kind of a mess these days. But here's the thing. If you've got Arizona Republicans saying Adrian Fonterra's can't be trusted to administer elections in Arizona and Hussein that Arizona Republicans as well as national Republicans now. Jumped on that bandwagon. We're gonna have faunas on Maricopa County recorder at three o'clock. I gotta tell you how we do our votes. Have. We do our elections in Arizona, and I've told Fonterra's that and we've argued over it. But my goodness. The guy is trying to count every vote. Even though it drives me crazy. It's taken ten days. I didn't attack him personally saying not exactly a reason to unless you have credible evidence. What is the evidence the job you're doing right, which is totally different than saying? You're trying to fix this election. Are you to be here at three for fun two? She'll join us a lot of allegations being hurled at him. They're basically calling the guy crook. Yeah. Right. Wow. That's a three zero five Adrian Fonterra's. Maricopa County recorder coming up next Trump signs an executive order in hopes of stopping the caravan from reaching our borders. So we'll tell you what is plan is. And if it's any good next. With MAC and Gaydos, KTAR three FM. GTE our news like to recognize the military veterans of Arizona for their service to our country.
