"Awesome. You say is a big difference like you talk about the homecoming, you know, obviously that's a big game and you want to put a on a show for the fans but on the other side of the coin how much fun is it to go off the road and ruin someone else's homecoming. I love that Yeah. We actually I'm pretty sure we did that our sophomore year. I mean, you know, it feels good cuz we get the win but you know, I feel for those other guys a little bit like, you know, they kind of want to put on the show for their fans but you know, we end up putting on a show for their fans. So I mean, it's all good. But I I I enjoy I enjoy going to another team and being them on homecoming especially when they schedule you, you know, the idea is yeah, we're going to schedule these guys cuz we're going to get an easy win and then you go in there and you ruin them, you know, I could just imagine, you know, the homecoming dance after the game and these guys that are like dancing, you know what I mean? Yeah. Yes anyway, so certainly I sub What happens after that Vince? So so Chris Nelson tell us a little bit about Webber International. You guys are any you know, how's the season going? I mean that's you know training. Give us give us a little more some more nuggets of what's going on out there. We don't know a whole heck of a lot about um, yeah, so so with covid-19, we we ended up being late as most as most people did so we had a couple of weeks to just kind of prepare and just kind of get ready for the season and we you know, we we played three games. We were wanting to we played 2018. So I mean I wanted to record, you know, looks looks looks like one or two, but they said watches are against two ranked teams. So I mean, it's it's been awesome. But you know right now I'm not crazy with Tobin and everything are allowed to our last two weeks just got postponed because the covid-19 couple of players got covid-19. And the NAIA and I'm sure it's going on in other other colleges. So, you know, everyone's just trying to adapt to that and make the best of the situation Chris. What would you tell a high school player who might be listening to the program? What is the biggest difference between besides the speed of the game? What is the biggest difference between going from the high school level and stepping up into that college level of football. Well, I mean back in high school. You're you're kind of the dude everyone knows your name everyone loves you, you know the coaches love you when you come into college, I mean, especially as a freshman you gotta work for everything. I do guy you're not giving you turn back over from ground one like you did freshman year in high school. So I mean honestly for me that's been it's been exciting to just kind of go through that process again, and then work my way up the depth chart, you know, that's always that's always fun to do off. Chris simple Junior quarterback and Webber International University in NAIA program in Florida. And James is you know, we cut our teeth with Nei football. That's where we started off. That's what we continue to do. It's it's a it is great. It is created so many opportunities for student-athletes number one at want to stay close to home. But secondly, there's many schools have their hundreds hundreds of any ice. Oh, yes so many good schools offering great education great playing facilities great campuses great great for you know, facilitators age and faculty members and everything. So, you know, it's great to go play USC. It's great to go play for Coach Harbaugh, Michigan. I'd be on the plane tomorrow, but you know what footballs footballs you ask me events office hundred percent hundred percent and then we've got our friends Nai fball that are out at in Florida that we collaborate with the cover Nai as well. Yeah, we'll have to make sure and keep tabs on Chris and web app. And how things are going out there. It's right click link with friends as well a great segue with the NAIA Football here tonight. We have some Nei football tonight in the Valley of the Sun over at Greenway High School on a Christian is hosting Wayland Baptist tonight. Yes. Yes. So there is college football going on Chris. I want to say this from the bottom of my heart. Thank you so much for joining us. We're going to check back with you periodically to see how things are going and keep us posted by give give us a shout out. Once awhile. Let us know how you're doing. It will do the same and and we'll also keep tabs on your old San Tan Charter got picked up a great win last night at homecoming. Congratulations to coach Carrie Taylor and and another Roadrunner moment. Yes, thank you guys. I just want to give a quick shout-out. So, you know my brother he had his first High School touchdown last night. So just had a touchdown last night. So it was great to watch as a brother fantastic proud mother moment. That's awesome. Thanks so much Chris for joining us this morning will follow your progress out there Weber. And who knows maybe we'll see you guys playing the ouac spirit one God maybe thank you guys. Appreciate your time. So James getting back to Arizona Christian. Yeah, they they've been playing they're playing and and what was funny about the sooner Athletic Conference team that they left it open not all of the teams are playing to schedule this year like and you had mentioned the Ottawa sphere which is who we broadcast for with their live streaming their games. They opted down until spring. They're playing in the spring. They release their schedule this week do they not they did indeed my friends they sure did so maybe we can take a look at that on next week's show but for tonight, it's Arizona Christian hosting Wayland bath. 7 p.m. At a Greenway High School will be right down the street from the events. All right. Well, we are joined Now by by Kelsey with AT&T. There's an event going on in a couple of weeks down in my town the town of Carefree. Good morning Kelsey. Good morning been thank you James. Both of you for having me definitely call me. It's okay. You can call me Vince. You don't have to call me counseling it off councilmember to you know is if anybody called me that anyway, so, all right. So Kelsey real quick in a nutshell. Let's talk about what's going on on Saturday morning, November 7th in the town of care for em. Congratulations. Hey, congratulations on the big win last night now Adrian transferred over to Phoenix Christian from North High School home of the Mustangs and they took care of business last night 4917 overboard. Tell us what about that game my site and what was your favorite part last night Adrian probably scored all those points more than likely. Yeah, that was probably the song released past two weeks, you know, we played two of the better teams in three days, you know, we're new to 3 this year. So I think the fact of just going out there and just being able to know that you know, we're better than this team and we came out there and just knock them basically and we can basically help muscle them. I think that was my favorite part. Just kind of seeing our linemen everybody just come together and how everything work and I think this week was one of our better weeks and practice and so home Seeing how it offensive click and everything went well. It was really good to see how guys just come together like that. That was my favorite car Adrian. I gotta ask in our final minute here. You're playing for a guy in coach Cole Brian called it then his no stranger to the dance. He this guys want some games and in his, you know in his career, what's it like playing for a guy like that? It's it's pretty game-changing wage. Like I know we don't have the numbers. They don't have those things but to have a coach like that it changes everything, you know, he knows what he's doing doing it for a long time and he tells us all the time cuz some guys Thursday like question is like methods but he's like, he's like don't question me. I've been doing this for a long time. I know what I'm doing that I got ring. She said you guys don't I'm trying to change that for you. So, you know, we trust him and we have faith. In fact that he's going to lead us in the right direction and so far he hasn't let us down. Yeah, he's doing a great job over there Phoenix Christian High School, Adrian Fleming. "Welcome back to the JP Sports show. Shout out to kdb Kevin derryberry there on the voiceover for always appreciate his fine work. That's another great show so far. We're halfway through the hour already James Kevin constantly refers to the Midtown Studios where exactly are these Midtown Studios the world may never know my friend weird things going on in life. He's a good guy. Anyway, I well as we continue with our JV High School Spotlight coverage. We're joined by coaches for tonight's game big game Monster game that he could only be featured on a Saturday night in my opinion Jace. Yeah before Cactus right number four and for a hosting the number two ranked team in the state in five a desert Palm Desert cactus cactus head football coach. Joseph Ortiz coach Ortiz. Good morning, sir. Good morning. How are you guys doing? Hey, we're doing okay Joseph or just joining us today. We are ready. Yeah, thanks for having me. Are you guys ready for tonight? What's going on? I'll let you know about 7:00 tonight. We're excited kids had a great week of preparation good week of practice good mindset good focus and they were very quotable this week. So we're looking forward to seeing what happens tonight with this, you know, I mean you talk about a challenge you you didn't exactly schedule, you know Boy Scout Troop 33 here. I mean, this is a on a big stage. The only thing the only High School football game in the state of Arizona. Why this one? Cuz you asked me to say yes, ma'am. It's from a kid, you know for the kids to be able to play on a Saturday with the only game in town in the whole state of Arizona. It's just a thing that kids won't can remember for the rest of their lives. So that's why you know not no reason behind who were playing or what the motive is it it's all about giving these kids the best preferred experience possible and I'm having a great time. What coach were really looking forward to the game tonight? We appreciate you taking the time to come on here really quick with us and talk. We're going to visit with a couple of other gentleman here in this segment, but we're really looking forward to that game out there tonight. It's going to be a bath. What are the is there going to be a crowd on hand? Is it limited capacity? What's going on there for tonight? All right. So limited capacity each. Each program was issued a hundred and fifty tickets. So that's why we do what we give each kid to tickets coaches families and then kind of just whoever you know, we just kind of give you the the rest of those tickets out. So it'll be about three hundred capacity wage, which is disappointing for such a big game, but we understand the times and our district has done a great job providing the best possible case scenario to keep our kids safe and healthy well in all the more reason for all you fans that are listening get on YouTube search for JV Sports show and click that subscribe button. So you're alerted as soon as we go live. And also make sure that you you look out for job. The player of the weekend at age that we're going to post sometimes what James maybe Midway later in the third quarter usually go on a third-quarter. Yes during the three-hour game. We try to get that out. Once we've narrowed it down to our little fast or as we like to call it. Yes and our Fab Four and as James said because they Twitter won't allow us to post 5, so we try to put a kind of a cute name to it. But anyway Fab four years and and you vote it's fan-driven and and will you know, we'll we'll have you pick the player of the week. So it should be a lot of fun coach. We're so excited will be out there early setting up looking forward to say you're talking to you. Thanks again for the opportunity. No, thanks for having us on we're looking forward tonight should be a fun night. Yes, sir. Thank you so much. I toast Joseph Ortiz from the cactus cobras and we're gonna visit with his Coach Carter on with us. Coach Marcus Carter scorpions Coach Carter, how are you sir? It's both of us. Oh coaches Carter Mark and Marcus card. There we go. Now we're talking. Are you guys doing this morning? I didn't want to bother both of you guys cuz I figured one of you would be granted while the other one was on the phone with us. But if you're both there, I'm I'm honored. Yes indeed do interviews separate. Well, that's awesome. I feel like James and I but yeah, right. It's a contractual thing. How to kick off the questions here and just ask this question number two in the state. What in the heck is going on out there in the in the Far West Valley at your place? oh, man, we just you know, just playing good football man and just being a family and they need together, you know, kind of inherited his number two ranking, you know coming from, you know, South Mountain and stuff and Foundation said so to keep building on top of the foundation that was said by the previous coaches and and just, you know, elevating this program so, you know where it should be and we're going to be This is a homecoming of sorts for you. Coaches Carter. You you guys you guys started off at Cactus together a few years ago. I think you even want to stay Championship. How long did you not? Yeah, we want we want to there in 05 and 09, you know, it's like you said it's where we started and as a homecoming court and you know, I was going to be kind of cool because you know being on the other sideline and you know coaching against characters for the first time ever, you know, it's been a think about a thousand paid since we've been back, you know as coaches we've been back, you know, we're not like taxes haters or anything like that. We've been to a couple of games of support Cochise and Coach Bella's and you know, so there's nothing like any animosity or anything like that, you know, cuz we're always going to will never forget where we came from and what else Cactus, you know, most likely would not at Desert Edge. Very true coaches. We've it's going to be a great game tonight. How excited are your fans to be able to watch this one obviously limited capacity understands tonight and a lot of cactus fans or excuse me. A lot of Desert Schools will probably be watching from a distance. Is that correct? Yes, we've been blasted the and that's where lanes and all that stuff to get people watch. You know, we have a family my brother and I have family all over the country. So, you know, they're locked into all our games and yeah, it's going to be a great atmosphere, you know, just a little little side note. The last time we ever coached that Cactus was in 2010 when we lost the desert AIDS and the quarterfinals so, you know, they found that ten years ten years ago being back on the sidelines the first side again Cactus as head coach to the stresses so many storylines in the game that it's going to be a great one. It will and I coaches we are so excited. We look forward to To talking to you in person once we get there later this afternoon and and so real quickly coaches. He's to the game keeps to the win tonight vs Cactus. Oh well speak to AJ office is that point? We just have to execute, you know, that's what office is all about as execution and you want to feel like you know myself and you know the rest.

"Football. I think that continue to help Coach looking ahead at the rest of your schedule and we were talking to our player of the week this week Jack schriber a little bit earlier and we talked about this upcoming opponent the Casa Grande phone numbers and they're they're heavy backfield. Now you did it. You did a masterful job game planning this week. You you crowded the Box you had your your outstanding middle linebacker Caleb Taylor Joe's right up there in in making plays left and right. How are you going to attack this vaccine? Well, you know why? I haven't seen them on film yet. So let's things the video and do all that stuff this week and I just know that they repeat somebody last night 49 to 7 and halftime the week before they scored fifty-two point. So well just you know, we'll take our time and and break down the film and look at what they're doing today in tomorrow, whatever and put together a solid game plan starting at the beginning of the week on Monday. I know they have a quarterback that has a bunch of division one offer. So that'll be our first challenge person for most offensively wage. Then we'll look at what they present, you know up front what fronts and coverages the things that they're running but you know, we're going to be us will always have a wrinkle here and there but you know, we're going to run our base offense and going to go up them to execute but we'll have plans to stop you all their top guys in right now, whatever what I hear is their top guy is going to be their quarterback. Yeah, yeah pretty much an All-Star. He he can run the ball he can sling it and those backs coming out of the backfield. It's basically Jerome Bettis and Natron means playing a school interesting. Now we have yes, you know, it'll be good to take a look at them on film, you know, and that's what you know getting week-to-week challenges. I don't know much about concert going and never played any of the other stops. I've been at all I know is they have a pretty legit quarterback and, you know, our staff will once we get the film to look at it this morning and mold over it today and worth of day tomorrow put together our plan and be ready to go and present it to the kids on Monday morning and class coach Conrad Hamilton. Thank you so much. Congratulations on the big win Scottsdale Desert mountains 7th Ranch over Barry Goldwater 49-21 Thursday night game of the week coach and good luck the rest of the way. "Got some good receivers to go along with him. So cuz what was your message to the team in the locker room after the game the other night, obviously you guys wage I'm sure disappointed after their loss. But as you said you played a very good football team that you guys were in the football game almost the entire way. What was the message to the team after the battle of the other night? Well, so would coach is and and players we just talked about what we got a lot of young players on the team. So we talked about just getting our mindset, right, you know during the week and Andrews Road Blocks that you know, the causes to maybe not think we can compete or or worry about different teams. So it's kind of little bit about the psychology of loss of coaching right now with our team. That's what we're at. Looking ahead and your schedule coach. You've got you've got some tough ones coming up and you're going to be hosting Paradise Valley. You're at Cactus Shadows. You got to tell us you got Sunnyslope. You got McClintock walk-in. Obviously, there were some things to build on from the other night. But but what what things do you think you need to work on going into Paradise Valley this week? We we need to refresh our our a blocking a little bit and you know, as you saw the game we missed a few tackles that probably would have put us in better situations, you know, they were dead. We had a third down and 7 to 4 down to 5 and then converted on this tackles and And that hurt that hurt us a little bit. So we're going to work on the fundamentals holding the ball tackling correctly those kind of things. In looking ahead in the schedule as well. As I said with the remaining games that you have you're sitting right now, you're sitting at one and two. I know we don't want to start talking a off since until you you look at your wins. But but you've got obviously you said you've got some things to work on. What's it going to take to get into playoffs this you're 516 win-loss well with everything that's going on in the way. They got things scheduled. We I have no idea how that's going to look at home. Yes. Yes, but my answer is I'm not worried about this week and our teams got to worry about this week and and and just, you know, having good practices and and get off the next Friday will head coach Frank lot of the Barry Goldwater Bulldogs. Thank you again for taking the time this morning coach. We really appreciate it. Thank you again for having us out last week and we look forward to following you guys throughout the rest of the season. Okay. Thank you. You guys for all you do and everything and thank you for all the kind words about our school and everything and we appreciate it. And we appreciate you coast. Thank you. Take care of thank you very soon. Tell him to give you a raise. So right now we are pleased now to be joined by the head coach of the Desert Mountain wolves. He's got a couple of minutes with us here coach Conrad Hamilton. How are you? I'm doing fine. How are you this morning? Great. Thanks for taking the time to getting on here with us. We really appreciate it. I feel that you guys can hear me fine. I'll have you on speaker right now. So it's good to go with the connection sounds awful. Yes, sir. Great win the other night coach congratulations number seven ranked Desert Mountain wolves and new rankings rankings will be out tomorrow, but great winds so coach you surprised us because when I came out to practice and watched you guys you guys all you did was throw the ball and then all of a sudden we see this this kid wearing jersey number 24 running all over the field. Was was that a surprise Well the day you came out there whatever, you know with our normal but Wednesday practice and we're working on third down conversions so long the seven-on-seven stuff was going to be all passed off third down on passing and things of that nature, you know trying to do those things. So, you know, we stripped our practice during the week or what what what we're going to emphasize emphasize during that particular day. So that day you're out there. We're trying to throw the ball around a little bit. So we're we're going to run the ball first. That's what we're built off. But we're going to try to run the ball play-action RPO things of that nature and then you know, unfortunately no possessions. I'm going to have to work some some passing to move to change a little bit closer. Congratulations to get on the win the other night. You got that over the Barry Goldwater Bulldogs. What was your message to your team? Obviously very often water. They didn't go away quietly. You guys came out and really started playing. Well right off the Jump and then Barry Goldwater started trying to turn the tide a little bit there in the same quarter. What was the message to the team to help them? Weather the storm when Goldwater was trying to mount that come back. I mean we knew we thought we don't go water the good football team. You know, what they do schematically offensively or whatever cuz it's a challenge especially in the short week and things of that nature. So we knew we needed to get out and jump on those guys early age get a good positive leader is kind of make them play, you know catch up but I think their offense was built for that. But again, you know, you're getting.

"The best musicians will ever hear. Yes, very good. So James as we start off the show we were out at Barry Goldwater. I'll tell you what I am. So excited for this school for this program for for the environment out there athletic director Chandler Adam Evans, who is an old ASU God known him. Twenty-five years and it feels like everything goes back to ASU James and and everybody talked to here we go. All roads go back to Sun Devil and all roads lead to Tempe. That's right. Yeah, so it was right. I remember when we left the campus the other night you you had told them that the last time you were there was some twenty or twenty-five years ago. I think you said there was four people in the stands and they had a doubt packed out Chrome, obviously social distancing and everything in place but packed out as they could possibly be the other night and you were very impressed with the new atmosphere out there. Very Global. That was my first words to be there for a game honestly. So it was a guy it's the culture. It's it's the yeah, it's the culture of the student body. They've done so much to to to enhance things and and it really shows as evidenced by what we saw the other night. I was great and so congratulations big Kudos out to athletic director at Barry Goldwater Chandler Evans. I know most Chad Evans but Chandler Evans and then this guy that's on the phone with this has really wage. The culture is a great guy head coach Frank loud. Good morning. Coach loud. Oh, we just lost him just lost them. Yes, no good head coach over now hammer for 21 years and he's over there really getting things really kick-started. If you log for Barry Goldwater and turn in that program around so I believe we have them on the line now coach loud. Are you with us? Yes, good morning this morning doing good doing good. Either one of us is going to come over and help program your VCR next this whole technology newfangled thing. So anyway coach, you know what it was. I mean, there are obviously no moral victories, but you guys played an awful good game last night against a pretty good team and you came out and or not last night, but Thursday night and you you you really had a down there early in in the first half Yes, we felt like we were in the ball game the whole way we the dates of crucial errors. We dropped the ball to three times and we've done that. Yeah, first two games and its cost as soon as worst things were working on to to improve ourselves, but those are some key things but that was a very good football team that played you guys took a great game against that says about football team coach talk to us a little about what you guys did yesterday. Obviously, you played on Thursday night. So you had a a rare Friday night off during the season did the kids go and watch some others football or what exactly happened with the team that night. So so yesterday we what we did was we we took our time and went through our game film and just just trying to worry about what we're doing and trying to get better wage with our system and are blocking schemes are passing schemes defensively those kind of things. So we spent a lot of time together. I want to talk about a few kids in particular on your roster. I mean every obviously every member of this team is is critical but there's a couple of kids that really raised our eyebrows starting with that number 16 that guy Is you know looking at I was looking at the the roster, he's five ten. He's a hundred forty pounds. He's a junior. I mean, he's he's but he's tough as Nails. He's all hard skin and bones, but he started throwing the ball and for a team that that runs the ball constantly that throws the ball maybe three times a game. You guys went to the passing game and you really got.

So we got a lot of show coming up and then what are we got in the final segment this morning? Well, I'll tell you in the final segment. We're going to do another Roadrunner moment. I mean James we've been all over the place and we are so grateful for the opportunities that that the high schools, you know, all the schools the eydis the coaches the kids the parents have afforded Us in in being able to do what we do to Showcase them. It's been a lot of em, you know, and also to kind of put our faces out there a little bit too right? Well a little bit if we can, you know, it's it's we're all about the kids right? We're all oh yes. It's a great football on Thursday. We're about some great football Friday night. There's going to be some great football tonight. There's a couple of games tonight. Actually. It just keeps going and in the thing is is that they're great games. We're not talking about like, you know, scraping the bottom of the barrel. To try to find some games. These are legitimate games tonight. We have the number two ranked team in the state in five a traveling over to the number former team in the state. And for a Desert Edge at Cactus. It doesn't get it much bigger than that. Does it know it doesn't at all and I'm excited to see what the Carr brothers are doing over there Desert Edge. This chat is Cobra seem under George is going to be very exciting as well. So it's going to be a great game out there tonight 7:00 kickoff get all the show YouTube channel. Check it out. Cost a dime. It's my best price. It's really great stuff. That's let's talk about that game. We had on Thursday night as Desert Mountain traveled over to Barry Goldwater a number of good plays all over the football field Thursday night and one guy really stood down from Desert Mountain high school and he was our steps and Movement Company player of the game and I'm talking about Jack schriber. Yeah. Yeah, Jack Jack's definitely saw a few guys actually stood out but Jack kind of stood out head shoulders and he was voted by the fans to be the this week's desk moving company Thursday night football player of the week Jack. Are you there? Yes, sir. How you guys could good morning, sir? How you doing? Man? You you kind of walking on cloud nine. We were we were kind of kidding the other night that you do everything for the team. You're a receiver. You're a kicker you you run the T out of water for the guys you tape ankles. What don't you do? Well, I just try to help out the team any way I can and help us get a win. So we're off to a great start right now. You guys are playing really well check and you specifically I mean you were kicking the ball really. Well, you're playing great out there as a wide receiver for the Desert Mountain wolves. When we named you this as a movement company player of the game the other night I had the graphics guy go ahead and put BV on there cuz I said, you know what this guy is probably driving the bus to for this team. If you if you follow them right after the game, I bet you he'll sneak out of the locker room jump in the bus. Let's go guys. Let's go home and change to win. How how are you such a complete player for this desert about football team. And what does it mean to you to be a desert mountain wolf? Well, I think we've all bought in this year and they just asked me what I can do is, when I try to tell him I can do anything and try to help out the team any way we can and I think what it means to be a dozen Mountain football player, but we haven't been good in the past, but I think we've all bought in this year off and I think we're really committed to being better in terms of this program and destruction retirement Well, Jack, you're surrounded by a pretty good cast of characters there. And I mean, you've got you gotta you gotta quarterback. It was on point the other night. He even ran the ball. Well, I mean, you know, so you got a true love you got, you know a running back. I mean we came in talking about the Barry Goldwater running back would but you got a guy with jersey number 24 that kind of made a statement of his own the other night name Jonah Berman, and we talked defense should have one of the best young linebackers around in Caleb Taylor. Yes, sir. For sure. I mean Caleb had a great first off. I think he had 14 tackles in the first half and then it's really nice to have a really good running back Corps and a quarterback just cuz no one man has to be good all we would rely on each other as a team. And I think we all were a band of brothers and I think that we play as a team and I think that's why we're doing so well right now Joe Lieberman. I mean, he's an unbelievable game out of the backfield. He's got that really high stride. He comes to the to the line of scrimmage with a great pad level of great burst of speed and then you know you talk about the defense Eli machowski this guy six foot one hundred eighty-five pounds, and he's going to be playing football at the next level, don't you think? I think so. I mean, he lays the word. I mean, he might not be the heaviest guy. But I mean he he's the most physical guy on our kids and yeah, I can definitely see him playing at the next level Jack. I'm looking through the remainder your schedule here and I see that you guys next week. You're hosting a pretty good cast of grand team. Now, I do have to warn you about These Guys these guys have a big backfield and when I say a big backfield, they got two bags that are that are easily 240 pounds and their quarterback could also be a running back. I mean, this is a big strong man. They can throw a ball really well and defensively they've got some some players on on that side of the ball. Have you started watching any film on them yet? Yeah, we theater size. It's just going to be a bath implanted this week around and doing the best Camp our defensive coordinators. I'm imagining the best defensive coordinator in the state with Coach Conrad Hamilton, and I think he's going to come up with chrome. Implant and give us a really great chance to win. Well, congratulations again on winning the steps of Movement Company MVP of the game on Thursday night Desert Mountain winning at Barry Goldwater, Vince. It was a fact the game Jack a great performance. I was extremely impressed and we can't wait to follow you throughout not only the rest of your high school career, but I think you might be playing the next level as well because you've definitely got the Moxie and you've got the ability to sneak out there on the football field. So congratulations and we appreciate you joining us here this morning. All right, sir. Thank you very much. All right, that's Jack schriber are assessed a movement company Thursday football player of the week. It had it had a great game. Did it all for them for Desert Mountain in Scottsdale and versus a very cold water. So James rest of the days. We got some stuff last night. Did we ever what it Mountain View, right? Yes, I was out at Jesse Parker field there on the campus in Mountain View High School and it was the fat out that do you well, I'll talk about offence. Its we'll talk about it. Anyway Mountainview age Mountain last night the Battle of Brown Road with thirty first meeting of those teams just down the street from each other in Mesa and it's always a great game. It was a tight one last night a Red Mountain has one off every one of those Battle of Brown Road since I've been involved with the program but Mountain View, I tell you what they are role in the season my friend and they they right now are the Dark Horse to get into the open those guys are undefeated and they can play Smash Mouth brand of football not the biggest team around but they know how to get it done and they got a couple of little speedsters there for Mountain View as well. So a dangerous team even a trip season. Yeah. It was it was it was a tough one. And you know, I was I was off last night because as you know, I do the PA for the home games added in Gilbert Campo Verde High School love those love those folks out there head coach Ryan Choi. Even athletic directors Max ragsdale's a great friend of mine for years and years and then the families and and they can't build Crazy is the student section. It's a lot of fun but last night Campo Verde was at Gilbert. Graduations to the coyotes to Campo Verde..

With College Football's Season at Stake, Who Makes the Call?

"I had their thanks for joining me SORTA. Thanks for having me on today. Heatherton itch covers college football and be potential lack, thereof for ESPN. So I'm so excited to have you because we're watching the college football landscape change day by day, and really as you know well hour by hour at this point. The Patriot. League in the Ivy League announced they won't be playing any sports this fall for instance, but the Big Ten and PAC twelve say they'll have in conference football games only, but the colonial athletic association is doing the opposite. They're saying it. Schools can only pursue independent schedules, and then of course, famously independent Notre. Dame says it's unlikely. The season starts on Pie. So that is a lot. But why are we seeing such a crazy range of approaches to how or even whether to move forward with the season at all hallows? It's a reflection of what we're seeing nationally throughout our country. Schools and universities and campuses in commissioners have to react to the coronavirus pandemic in their particular region. And I think it's very important when you look at the Ivy Leagues Decision, which was the first one why they did what they did. Once, again our top stories breaking news. It's official the Ivy. League will not play any sports in the fall semester including football. And they did it because of their campus cove nineteen policies. meaning that there were restrictions on travel, there were restrictions on group sizes, no more than twenty five to fifty people on some campuses limitations on visitors. All things that when you put them together made it impractical to have fall competition. And then when you look at what the PAC twelve did, which was an extremely important decision, not just to go conference only but to delay the start of the season today, the PAC twelve and now the fall season for several PAC, twelve sports, including football would adjust their schedule. Conference only games they announced. That was a direct reaction to the corona virus bikes in Arizona and southern California from California the first State to issue a stay at home order to Arizona among the first to relax those orders, these western states so breaking new records corona cases almost daily, if the season or practices were starting today and forego USC and Ucla Arizona. Schools wouldn't be able to participate. So that's why it's such a patchwork decision making process right now, because different things are happening in different areas of the country.

another another former former democratic democratic presidential presidential candidate candidate is is endorsing endorsing Joe Joe Biden Biden in a video on Twitter California senator Kamilla Harris threw her support behind the former vice president saying quote I believe in joke we need a leader who really does care about the people and who can therefore unify the people and I believe Joe can do that and with us right now was ABC news political analyst Steve Roberts Steve what a difference a week makes it did you anticipate Joe Biden picking up this mode the momentum this quickly no I have not I don't think anybody did I I think what we're what we're seeing though is a fascinating phenomena based on one word and that word is fear it's fear of Donald Trump and fear of Bernie Sanders Joe Biden has not been reborn as some useful charismatics move talking energetic candidates Joe Biden today is still the same Joe Biden that people have a lot of doubts about two weeks ago two months ago two years ago the difference is that Democrats have so desperate so frantic to find somebody who can beat Donald Trump that they decided that day either as a group and individually as voters and as candidates they'll camel Harris being an example of of having to rally around somebody and then choosing between Biden and Sanders the fear of Bernie Sanders is pulling the party too far to the left so there's a lot of energy around the Biden candidacy right now but in my view it's largely negative energy it's driven by fear it's driven by desperation there are not a lot of Democrats even this morning jumping up and down in Saint Joe Biden's gonna be a great candidate a great president but this negative energy is very powerful and that's what's driving this trend do you think it's now his to lose or is it too early to say that definitely has to lose end up and I think it's gonna be very difficult for Bernie Sanders to rebound here the one variable of course the one no wild card is by himself as I say he has not been report he's still the guy who can show astounding lapses of judgment he's still the guy who could make gaffes he's still the guy who can show his age very clearly he's still the guy who can appear fumbling and uncertain and in debates with Bernie Sanders and interviews it's still entirely possible for him to make damaging mistakes I think a lot of Democrats even if they rally around by they're holding their breath and hoping that Biden will get its act together and I've seen some signs a few signs of Byton improving on the stop I think he's shown a little bit more energy I think the campaign line about I'm the candidate of those who have been left behind it counted out is a defective and powerful line really echoes of a bill to written of nineteen ninety two the comeback kid although Biden's hardly a kid he's more the comeback teaser than the comeback kid and also this line of of of appealing to the concepts of dignity and civility and normalcy I think they provide a fairly stark contrast to the president who's in the oval office now but Biden is still Biden it was all of his flaws but at this point he's the Democrats best hope and it's gonna be very difficult for Sanders to capture Steve thanks for your thoughts again this morning ABC news political analyst Steve Roberts it's also worth noting that this morning one of the former
