Tyler Gilbert Makes First MLB Start at Age of 27 and Throws No-Hitter
"First. Start in the major saturday night. Tyler gilbert of the arizona diamondbacks threw a no hitter. Tyler is only the fourth pitcher in baseball history to pitch a no no in his first big league. game bobo. holloman was the last back in nineteen fifty three even more remarkable. Tyler didn't play any organized ball last year. Kovic shut down the minor so he spent his summer throwing to an old high school coach and doing electrical work with his father to make money. After saturday nights outing he told reporters. I'd rather be doing this than pulling wires. No offense dad. Tyler was also the eighth. No hitter of the season tying a record set back in eighty. Four
Diamondbacks Set Mark in Historic MLB Futility With 23 Consecutive Road Losses
"Up our MLB. We can recap. It is worth noting that the Arizona Diamondbacks made history they lost to the San Francisco Giants and said Modern era record with a 23rd straight road loss. Hello, darkness. My old friend. All I can say is at least they wake up every day and still live in Arizona, because that's a pretty great way to go through life. Yeah, but their manager Tony La Bulow, said he goes to bed thinking about things larger than baseball at night. So it is. It's tough. We're not. We're officially in. It's bigger than baseball territory and all this Who, man? Somebody get those Diamondbacks of wind man. No one deserves that levels losing in their organization. It is not a great time at

Trevor Bauer signing with Los Angeles Dodgers
"Was a big day in the history of the los angeles dodgers. They went out and signed the biggest free agent on the market. The biggest free agent of the off season that is trevor bauer who will now join a dodgers rotation that includes bueller and kershaw and price and may and some combination of that. Trevor bauer coming off the national league cy young award. He was unbelievable last year. He was unbelievable the year before in cleveland almost won the cy young they're lindsay. You're a big fan of a actually. You broke the news at some point that he was leaving. Cleveland is that what it was now it was. I traded to cleveland. It was huge. There's a three way trade. With cleveland. The arizona diamondbacks and the rights. And so first. Here's powers lineage. He went to heart high in valencia. Then he started in the d-backs organization. They traded him to cleveland then. He went to the reds and won the cy young award. And now he's going to the dodgers. Wow and he almost won it certainly. He was a contender at least once if not twice with the indians and he's got a bunch of he. He has a weird training methods and he's into spin in the ball and he's he he works with that. Spear you know that. I don't know if you've ever seen if you want to learn more about our google. Trevor bauer hbo real sports. They went out and did a whole story on his training methods mostly which he doesn't a garage influenza and it's really interesting he's he's a he's like really eccentric and it's gonna be really fun to have him here. Yeah it's gonna be absolutely loaded absolutely loaded

"The Dodgers, of course, lead that actually, West Padres, 18 and 13 coming in. Four games back. The Rockies have played better of late. A lot of that against the Diamondbacks. They're 16 15 1 game ahead of the Giants. In third place Giants. 15 and 16 coming into today and then the Arizona Diamondbacks, 13 and 19 having lost eight games in a row, including the sweep at the hands of the Giants here. Ares on his GM Mike Hazan was quoted either last night or this morning about his team and How the losing streak has really impacted his philosophy about trade deadline, which comes up on Monday. Diamondbacks Big Hopes for the season favored by many to be a play off team. Robbery by most and The game losing streak has clouded everything for the D backs, so they're in last place in the West, the other first place teams in the National League, the Cubs have to game lead over the Cardinals. Even though the Cubs have cooled off considerably. The Cubs Are 18 and 12 with a run differential just plus three. They've been pretty fortunate to be where they are. The Braves leave the nationally East by two games over the surprising Miami Marlins four games over the Phillies 4.5 over the Mets. The Nationals, the defending World Series champs. Our 11 17 and six games. Out of first in the National League East, not out of it with the expanded playoffs..

"Great value bet, I think Kansas City is gonna pay pretty well. They've been playing everybody tough. They'd been playing a lot like the Pirates in that regard to that, and the Giants are not going to give out the giveaway at bats. They're going to play chili, and they play for their manager Mike with the Who's doing a great job there. I'll take aim to city in this game. All right. We'll keep an eye on that one. San Francisco and Colorado did not see if the Giants have committed to a pitcher. As of yet, they have not. I seen everywhere. I've seen his undecided right now. Okay against Marquez for Colorado. However, Colorado with Marquez against whoever the Giants throughout their I'm seeing a total of 13 and Marquez minus 1 75 right now, Uh, what? What about Colorado? I mean, this is a team like you set off to a great seven and to start Giants have been pesky. I still can't lay 1 75 on Marquez. Though No and Colorado in its history has been very streaky. Last year, they got off to a great start, and then they were just horrible for the entire second half. I think right around June. They were in first or second place in the West or lease right up there with the Dodgers and then from from July on, where they were just brutal, so his team has been very streaky. And if they start going bad the wheels you can fall off his wagon very, very quickly. I would absolutely stay away from Lane 1 75 Alright. Oakland's goingto throw Luzardo tomorrow night at home minus 1 55 against Texas. Lance Lynn back on the hill for the Rangers ate the total. I love Lazare, No and in this game, but let Lance Lane is the best pitcher for the Rangers Rangers offense has been anemic. I'll take the under all day. And this one. I think you're looking at 2 to 13 to two kind of game. There you go. Lance Lynn want to know another guy has not given up a run so far. 075 Whip in Luzardo, his e R A. At 135 and a 120 walks in hits brings pick so, Yeah, it makes sense as faras that under both guys can stay true to form. You've got the Dodgers back at Petco with may on the hill against Lam it May minus 1 25.5 The total against the bobs. And how good would Gilson lament? Look right now in that metsrotation he was a Met process project, and they created a moment pretty much for nothing. So the Mets would love to have him back right now with the losses they've had on their pitching staff, but I'm gonna go. I'm gonna take a shot with Dustin May here may have looked very good in his games. Hey, has the lowest hard hit rate in all of baseball. Hey, has one better than in the entire both of his starts. One batter has been ableto have been unable to do what they call barrel on him, which is square up and hit it, even if it's an out, so he's been pitching very well. The record may not show it. Dodgers bounced back tomorrow. I think Betts is back in the lineup tomorrow. I think they win. I met 15 strikeouts already in his work with one NATO e R. A just seven for May. He's a guy that can get it done, though. Yeah, The one thing you have to watch out for Delson Lament, though, is he has a tendency to be wild, and when he's wild, he is way wild. He hasn't shown that yet, but it has happened this year, but it has only been two starts. But it does happen. It happens quickly to him. So if he's if the Dodgers air patient tomorrow they could get a lot of walks. Awful. Lamenting that whip could go Oppa really quick Madison Bumgarner, still trying to get his first win as a member of the Arizona Diamondbacks will be at home. Actually, a dog in that game is Ha beer for Houston, a minus 1 17 9.5 The total told me a little bit about Ha beer for Houston. Don't have a clue there. And what about Bumgarner there for the hometown Diamondbacks? Who again we talked about having trouble really stringing together. Any type of crooked numbers is Oars in innings with the offense. Having air made is to be debut last week against the Dodgers and actually pitched pretty well in that game. I think he was scores for the five innings that he was in there then he got pulled, and that's gonna be the biggest problem you're gonna have with a guy like Javier Aaron. These rookies. They're pitching in these in these games. Now is the managers have a relatively quick hook for them because they don't want the innings together. They want to make sure their arms stay as healthy as possible. I'd actually take a look at Bumgardner in this spot. Baumgardner is due for a good game. But Diamondbacks, I think are all ready and raring to go. And Javier was the kind of guy they may be able to tee off of. He's a hard thrower and the D'backs tend to hit fastball pitchers pretty well. So I'll take a look at the Diamondbacks in this one. Right angels gonna throw any minus 1 94 92 total against Seattle would done on the hill. For the Mariners, eh? You know, I mean again. Hey, He's a good pitcher, but I just don't see him being a minus 1 94 on the road. No, absolutely not. In more bad news for the Angels. Shohei Otani is not going to pitch again. The rest of this year. He's still going to be able to d h P G is a is a strain in his arms he could still hit. He just could no longer pitch, so he's been shut down as Faras pitching goes. Does. It just keeps going from bad to worse when his Angels team but mine is 1 94 is way too big a line to give up for for the Angels in this game, right so fish and seeing on this schedule, says writing game Marlins Orioles was that a tentative Game and then it's they're not gonna give that game may be played there trying to get into many games in for the Marlins as possible. They're waiting for the last round of covert tests for the Marlins, and of everything Turk checks out, and they have no new positive. The Marlins may actually play in Baltimore tomorrow. All right, so we'll see how that all pans out. Alright, let's go now and take a look. At the major league standings. Let's start in the nationally East. The brave seven, and for now, the Marlins stuck on just those three games sitting at two and 1% wise. We're actually ahead of the Braves, but game back as Faras in the division nationals and three and four fillies at one and three because of the co bit stuff, so they haven't played a lot of games. But the Mets four and 73 games back of the Braves of much needed win tonight by the Graham. What about the amount of games now? With the Marlins in the Philly, especially the films. I mean, this is a team, you know you and I thought maybe able to compete in the East. But right now getting off to a slow start, and you know, playing the Yankees doesn't get any easier. No, it doesn't..

"Area including Arizona Diamondbacks fields and ten other spring training facilities in that area so you know the other part of that is that where all the players and coaches going to be staying in it's going to be all in different hotels throughout that area and they would be tricked rules just cancel my Airbnb for out there so that's available how did you the I wonder what the thought processes behind using Arizona as opposed to Florida I think it's all of the a it's warm climate in BM it's all of the different fields available you know all close together in proximity have you for is the U. has a bigger infrastructure for the day they have it's more spread out they'll beat all these fields are in a more condensed location so wouldn't require a lot of travel so what they're doing is they're suspected we saying will live without the ticket sales and we'll just go the television money well that's the other thing is that you they need to determine you know how are they going to you know distribute the gate off the pricing that comes in from these parts or anything like that or how they get you know I are they gonna do that to a national prime time games and give T. V. more these games are on a national scale that would kind of suppressed the gate lost gate fees or anything like that although most of the high most watched seasons of baseball in history if they actually get the ball run on in many ways that might actually be it might actually work I just don't know if they'll be able to really get the ball rolling on Sunday it's going to be very highly rated because S. live sports with a price and not wanting to replace the MLB is going to don't you think that the NHL and and they're gonna start back up to well I saw there were rumors that NHL or is exploring Manchester New Hampshire and other northern ice ranks to you if they were to even come back I don't know if the initial can come back now just because come you know it it's tough to keep ice cold in the summer months right now now now I I don't Boston that's a problem the it did has in the past been in the old garden today's garden is a mass with the ice when it when it's warm wave if you don't play in front of fans there's plenty of ice rinks are open year round if they can make it work I think the only thing I would question would be the ability to hook up high quality video equipment to all these you know retrofitted hockey rinks that would be difficult yeah I mean there's been little detail on the NHL from but this is a very extensive plan that was reported last night from the antibody NFL football will president trump era it per conference call with all the commissioners of the leaks over the weekend and it came back it was reported that president trump said he expects the NFL to be on pace for September fans I don't know if they clarified with fans or not but yeah sure I I would say with fans at this point that's in September so I mean if they that's a league that could live without the gate revenue yeah they're just so much money off of television you know you but I but I wouldn't go to a game anyway Meg but admitting.

Diamondbacks' Madison Bumgarner secretly competes in rodeo events
"Arizona Diamondbacks left hander Madison Bumgarner has been competing in rodeo events under the alias Mason's Saunders and even one of twenty six thousand five hundred sixty dollars and a team roping competition in December according to a story published Sunday by the athletic Bumgardner was told I told the website that he has discreetly competed in rodeos for awhile including in March of last year two days before pitching for the San Francisco Giants in a cactus league spring training game he's been roping since he was fifteen or sixteen and said he's been added so long that quote it's just part of who you are he's the twenty fourteen World Series MVP if he agreed to an eighty five million dollar five year contract with the Diamondbacks this past December and I'm sorry Courtney if I was the diamond backs I wouldn't be thrilled to find out that my ace left hander yes competing in rodeos in the offseason this is the same guy who got injured on a dirt bike do not remember that when he was with the giants and that was a serious injury that put him out for a very long time no wonder he was performing I guess you want to call that under a pseudonym or a fake name because had you found out about this the Diamondbacks might not have spent eighty eighty five million dollar a gigantic sum over a five year contract on this guy I mean it doesn't make any sense like I understand the thrill of competition and this is who we is but these risky things every sport has stuff like this written into players contracts that you cannot do I mean I always go back to when it when he got hurt in San Francisco a few years ago do you remember the month Taylor's thing when he was with the warriors he fell off the scooter when he went back to Mississippi for the offseason S. lied about it yeah that was a story that came to mind and I feel like any time something like this it comes to the light I'm not one of these people is like all the cool funny look how cute of the story is I'm like what is he thinking like you get injured and made these you know these are animals eat these things have a mind of their own they're powerful they're strong and certainly he's you know well conditioned and knows how to be around horses but you know that to me is way too big of a risk if I'm a professional athlete you know the prime of my career to take but you know he's done it before and that he is you know we don't really get that much of outside having serious injuries at receiver big penalty from the team for you know the motorbike thing according to have the details how did he come up with the alias of Mason's Saunders instead of going with you know his own name Madison Bumgarner sell it this came from directly from the athletic article that broke the story said quote if you competed as Madison Bumgarner every phone camera in the area that would have been trained on him he said so he devised Mason Saunders the surname is the maiden name of his wife Allie Mason is a shortened version for Madison and it's something allegedly his wife called him out in public so people don't recognize them so very clever I'll give him that but I don't think the whole thing is a buzz saw her story totally bizarre and the other thing is you know if this was an NBA player everybody would recognize them already because NBA players are actually recognizable it just goes to show you how anonymous baseball players are that the most clutch postseason pitcher maybe of all time can compete in rodeos and nappy racket I think what I know it's wild lake in the in the fact is here like he continues to go what do these very risky things it just doesn't seem to care yeah if you get caught I mean there's the photo in that athletic article where he's smiling and you know he's with I guess that it's a two person thing that team roping so I hope twenty six thousand dollars I hope that Madison Bumgarner did not keep that for myself given the gigantic contract he just signed in December the but yeah he looks he's not there we is in this picture I mean I just think it's hilarious how almost incognito so many baseball players can live their lives in that matter just because they blend in because they're not these gigantic athletes by and large I mean they're not six eight or you know they don't think Shaquille o'neal out there everybody would be able to tell if you're you know for the most part with NBA athletes I just don't understand why when you have hit the genetic lottery anyway to be able to throw the ball a hundred miles an hour the end and to be able to make eighty six million dollars really it's more than that doing this why you would ever risk your body or put like what your fans in your organization is rooting for on the line so recklessly and you pointed out he already ruined the giants season aired my fantasy baseball season which is far more important Courtney by falling off of that dirt bike a couple years ago and here he is I guess he says I'm just going to live my life and Diamondbacks GM Mike Hazen told the athletic that quote he was not going to get into discussing specific contract language but you pointed this out that we know the player contracts have I can't imagine that the Diamondbacks are cool with their ace pitcher also being a rodeo road being a cowboy literally let alone they don't want to be a Dallas cowboy let alone in being a literal cowboy well I just remember a couple years ago at the end I felt combine whistle and was talking to Mike Zimmer about you know the quarterback situation at that point he had said that Sam Bradford had a degenerative knee I come to find out later that offseason I was speaking with Kyle Rudolph who said that he went skiing with Sam Bradford that off season right around the time of the combine so I'm thinking to myself you are here you are a health concern and you're going skiing or you could very easily risk tearing your ACL for a third time and you already had your season cut short because of injury like I wonder if these guys just do it for the thrill or maybe they just don't care because they have ungodly amounts of money to begin with if they feel like they can the kind of invincible they can do whatever they want but you do wonder like this has to be in contract language if you cannot do things like this because we know across sports there's certain things you're just not able to do I it's a liability reasons you ever been to a rodeo Courtney I half I went Mississippi when I work down there the show but county fair rodeo I've been to the Cheyenne frontier days shout out if you're listening in Cheyenne Wyoming on the ESPN radio affiliate there I gotta tell you it's oddly it is oddly entertaining but the the thrill of it is almost that you think that the that the ball right is just going to charge and block these cowboys into next year it is one of the most dangerous things I have ever seen and I never in my life once thought you know what it be cool to jump in there with these bowls and try to try this on for for my but how do you even practice you know you kind of just have to get in there and and take it on right yeah I guess I guess so what I mean I've seen the photos of Madison Bumgarner I'd taken the horse around the warning track at AT&T park when he was still a giant I just think that that's who he is this is got this guy is a country bumpkin at heart from North Carolina and I I just think that he grew up this way and it's always gonna be a part of him so he feels like Hey I'm an able bodied individual and I also have more money than anybody at this rodeo thing I'm gonna do what I want and it's somebody else take issue with it I'm sure they actually would found out about it right now well look I know why it's so good in the clutch in game seven of the World Series because if that that's nothing compared to facing down the eyes of a bull

"And the giants were disciplined they were principle when it came to offering Madison Bumgarner new contract I question if it was in their best interest to be involved in the sweepstakes I really do because it kind of gives a little bit of a false promise to the fans but if they indeed offered for years and seventy million dollars okay that was their price this is how far we are willing to go that is our best offer in Madison Bumgarner didn't take it and he has every right to do so he took the fifth year from the Arizona Diamondbacks mind you can Rosenthal's reporting that it probably would have taken a hundred million dollars from the giants because the state tax different differential for the deal between the giants in the diamond backs to be even but the giants stay disciplined they say principled and they didn't extend themselves beyond how far they wanted to extend themselves for the stake in for the sake of nostalgia for the sake of well it is an entertainment product number is the giants couldn't get what they wanted for Madison Bumgarner right or wrong come around the trade deadline they didn't get any of the offers that they want to date they stuck to their guns then too they said we're not trade Massa Bumgarner unless we get a whole lot and no one offered a whole lot so they said we will wait for the Compaq and will offer him seventeen point five million dollars over the next four years will offer him a qualifying offer if you want to come back that's great that fits with our plans but we're not going five years on a guy who's throwing this many pitches we're not going five years on a guy who's already gotten ten years of hard major league experience on that are we're not gonna do it and I'm surprised at Madison Bumgarner chose the Arizona Diamondbacks over the San Francisco Giants but that was his choice he chose another team over the giants the giants in chase them out of town they stuck to their principles and he turned down eight actively larger contracted upon a part per year basis then what Arizona gave I appreciate the giant staying principle I appreciate them sticking to their plan I appreciate them not just giving in to the fans demands because well we've had some bad PR so let's overspend and try to win these fans back the only thing that will win fans back in earnest the only thing that will make the giants the juggernaut that they should be with this market with all the resources that they have available to them is discipline when it comes to their plan may stuck to it Madison Bumgarner didn't want any part of it and he's moving on I kind of appreciate the fact that we'll be able to see him every now and again and I hope it works out for I really do I really do but the giants were willing to bet a fifth year on him and I can't blame them they stuck to their plan and that's all you can ask if Farrakhan was starting to waver on that plan now get out of here I mean honestly if you can't even make it more than a year with this plan this difficult plant they're pushing hard truths but they still do it and I still have full faith in far on I think you should too all right we're gonna talk to about Buckner the head coach of the San Jose Sharks interim head coach I'm going to drop the interim I'm sure quite a few times I don't I'm not sure what you're supposed to say in a situation where you are the head coach but the team is very adamant that you're the interim head coach nevertheless we love talking to about the sharks here on KNBR tonight and Bob Duggar that go to the sharks is coming on to break down how he got the job what they're going to do now that he has the job the challenges it and be upsides for this sharks team that let's be honest it is really under performed so far this season really looking forward to that conversation hope you'll stick around for it and hope you'll call in after we're done the numbers eight await KNBR you're listening cambiar tonight.

B. J. and what he did to the Miami Heat so I'm gonna ask you the same question I we used to ask down and on the ticket about LBJ the message that you're in now is simply because the Cleveland Cavaliers decided to bring LBJ back bring lebron back win that championship it was instant gratification my bigger question to you would be was it all worth it with how your team's player right now in the in the in the state your franchise was it really worth it in hindsight to bring lebron James back win that championship and know that you're going to be trying to make up for all that went on after that in his wake well he's a Los Angeles for years to come see that's where progress death will progress of farms value SO Parkinson's value because it is not all about to start the sixteenth it's about what business you know like the the Cavaliers of the billion dollar business so when you put it in that perspective you have to have the beard of the operation of this site the fact that you know was that was was spraying champagne for that one fleeting moment and listen I don't know if you've ever been have that experience I have I been in a locker room if you can you could taste the champagne through your nose you could smell the tasty champagne because of all the the bubbles in it it's it's something that you would be I've only experienced of a handful of times of my life but I'll never ever forget what it's like state lot what it's like to taste champagne just through the center I mean I know how I do have a drink I have a drop the champagne but I have the taste just from all the the carbonation being laced with people Poppin bottles was it worth that when one second that one moment of pure ecstasy joy to have what you have right now yes or no so you're saying that they recruit for the soul the cab you don't know yet yeah I mean listen they did everything they could to bring lebron back they sold out for that one championship it was Instagram occasion the moment knowing that there was going to be and I teach twice on this all the time constable no such thing as a free lunch the victim really got to pay the bill was it worth it so you can the Cavaliers are so loose organization now no everybody has to do it everybody has to sell out a one moment in their life if you want to achieve greatness it depends on what you're willing to do to get that great so yes or no that one shot at winning that title was it worth it I'm not going to say the Cavaliers are old organization we see their souls old organization I said you had to sell out for that championship yeah there's going to be a price to pay somewhere down the line now you're paying the price was that worth it it was a low price it was no price all come on now there was a price to pay you paid the price because you brought in lebron you'll when all in you pushed all your chips you won the championship but in the wake of that you now have the team has to rebuild because you put all your energy into that yet she did and there's nothing left in his wake as he leaves to go to Los Angeles that's what I mean is it all worth it in the big question for a lot of people if you don't have that "Arizona is news station in GTA argues ninety two three SM John how's it going everything do you think that Larry fitzgerald and Archie Bradley are going to share a locker room because you know the Arizona Diamondbacks they set out to be searching for a place other than chase field they're acting like it's a rat infested like Baltimore they think it's Baltimore that's my point they think if they there's a blank clock off yeah they want out and you know they even looked into State Farm stadium which they would work yeah D. about Baltimore not Camden yards because that's great ballpark how looks like a beautiful balls are right yeah what do you make of this Arizona Diamondbacks if I can report that basically says they're exploring other options I don't know if they really want to stay here I'm really getting that feeling that their shopping around I don't know I think they're going to use that as leverage but the the report in the Wall Street journal seems to indicate that they do want to stay in Arizona that's their first choice although staying at chase field and retro fitting that that seems to be rather low on their list so it strikes me that they want a new ballpark because I think they're they're trying to shrink these ballparks if they can't because they don't want empty seats in there it makes no sense people are watching more more on television and I think they're becoming almost a glorified soundstage I hate to admit that but I think with four K. TV and you know I mean the stuff looks so good on TV I think it's really getting hard to put fans in the seats on on this stuff so yeah John I think part of it is that baseball's become so boring and if you look at statistics I mean the New York Yankees are having a great year and you know what they're not drawing anywhere near what they used to draw a no kidding well I don't know that yet and I didn't know that it's all it's it's everywhere in in but in baseball and it's almost like people are tired of home run or strike out home run or strike out it's become a very boring game so if I'm like the Arizona Diamondbacks and thinking you know this building isn't so bad maybe we should invest in good players and then maybe people will come the ball park you know they've done a lot with with what they got this year actually I'm amazed at how well they've done I mean they're actually in a wild card rate so you know yeah yeah so it's amazing what they've done after dealing a lot of great players but I think you know in some ways this opens the door because they we may be looking at stadiums that are not as big not as massive and maybe because of that you can keep the cost down a little bit so you know they're looking around and I think the State Farm thing was really interesting but I think in the end they decided you can't play baseball and there they were looking at playing there temporarily is my understanding but take care they just can't make baseball work in there apparently John hook joins us from fox ten as he does every Monday three oh five there is to me this reminds me the coyotes deal they want a new place to play but the public sentiment is not not in this town when I could be taxpayer money are we talking about the Diamondbacks leaving because they did I the coyotes have not been able to come to any deal with any city or or any any entity that I that I've heard and this is been going on three years now that they are well we'll just rent this place satellite you know again for another year is that are the D. backs seriously gonna have to leave or do they wind up on tribal lands or something like that in in a like you said at Salt River fields not a chase field size structure yeah it's possible I mean it is possible and I think the threat you know you had Henderson Nevada make a run at these guys I think they're six cities out there that would want them nationals in the mix there there's a bunch I I think that's always going to be in the back pocket and not always gets people excited because it means I could leave town sounds like the D. backs want to stay in Arizona and if they see America accounting by the way they avoid a moving penalty if they if they leave chase field after twenty twenty two I think it is they can avoid the penalty if they stay America county I think that's highly likely I just don't no where and I I just can't imagine can you guys imagine the the coyotes arena vacated and chase field fake too yes I do have you met structures empty yes like shopping malls I mean no Sir they are the they are I mean we are seeing a revolution not only of technology but what people want in a couple minutes we're going to talk about there are shops now they don't have restaurants a virtual restaurants they make the food and they have uber eats delivery we are seeing while we are seeing brick and mortar places go the way of the dinosaur I can totally I could totally see that there is nothing I hate to say it but there isn't a professional ball team at chase field I don't know what it becomes I mean if if the trend continues it looks like it's going to be raw retirement home or maybe we don't condos again that's the way it everything you know what you guys now we're looking at the life of the stadium in this environment twenty years now me they used to be thirty forty even fifty years we're near the whole summer still around like what Wrigley Field stuff like that family yeah and Dodgers stadium that's been around since he you know early sixties so you can do it and again I don't think the fans I mean when I go into the ball park is cavernous but I'm not sitting there thinking it needs to be replaced in the deal I don't I I don't like the stadium but I didn't like it from the very beginning right I think it's a tough place to build a ballpark because I just I feel like baseball should always be outside but you can't do that here Gatos best stuff our PTA.

including cell phones and laptops until December fifteenth you're never more than fifteen minutes away from today's top stories on Arizona's news station KTAR news get some perspective Bruce in chains and Pamela Hughes KTAR news on ninety two three FM well maybe you haven't got Poland fond memories of the Arizona Diamondbacks run to the World Series a World Series victory for a pretty new team can we point out but a new team that had some absolute aces on it there hasn't been a more yeah Curt Schilling one of those I mean when you had a a pitching duel of rainy Johnson and Curt Schilling other teams quaking in their boots so to speak but will you have any incumbent democratic Congress men or women in Arizona that'll be shaking in their boots if Curt Schilling decides to make a run for office here in Arizona publicly but I'm going back there long and running for the one of the one of the following so moving back to Arizona and running for the Congress of the United States against eight Democrats see currently held by a Democrat when you look at them I honestly think there's only two that are even in the plausible world and that would be the one outside of Tucson and outside their currently held by Ian Kirkpatrick congresswoman Kirkpatrick or district one which was kind of eastern northeastern Arizona little bit of the valley held by a congressman however okay so you've got sand Barnes who is Republican strategist here in Arizona talking errors on this morning news this morning about what this means is a good idea bad idea what's a stand Barnsley's got name ID he's got money black ability connects with people he doesn't have as much money you don't have as much money as he used to have the whole human jets failed business it really got to help well said but I don't know many people remember that but many could raise money I work I were a Democrat in Arizona I would not want to face him no matter what my district look like yeah I don't know so much about as much for the halo effect in a World Series champs for Arizona a Curt Schilling has a body of work after he left baseball that I think would be pretty easy to run against like him getting fired for ESPN over offensive social media posts now or talking about lynching journalists as also I'm comparing Muslims to **** I want to see is taken on transgender rights not in the way you may thing and on the way in the negative way and I mean kit Clinton conspiracy theories Joss Ron mock I mean he's already showed you who he is believe him a lot of times we don't find the stuff out about politicians until after we elect them we already know what Curt Schilling is but we ask you on the open Mike line your thoughts on it you know is is Curt Schilling electable here in Arizona and here's what you had to say Copa love your show Curt Schilling running for Congress is like my song no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no and it just goes on like that right wow well maybe Curt Schilling of running for Congress is one of the reasons why you think we're going to hang in a hand basket don't worry Pamela says should restore your faith in humanity all I'm gonna try to for you hear Bruce and this is an awesome story that I actually got from our friends doctor Simpson it is about the is really women's lacrosse team what yeah they were playing the canyon team no this is for the under nineteen world championships in Canada recently okay so you've got it the Israeli team playing Kenya and well they just smoke the Kenyans I'm talking thirteen to four all right all right but there's something amiss here the two teams got along famously on the field like those kind of all out I guess to watch for they were like you know Pat each other on the back they're huge smiles in both directions throughout the game like genuine affection but after the Israelis went back into the locker room their win what is kind of a mixed bag because they know what one of the reasons why they won is that the Kenyan team didn't have any cleats it's kind of like standard required equipment played turf they didn't have any and so some of the young lady spoke to the parents afterward scene if they could you know help out by purchasing cleats well it so happens that one of the girls on the team the dad owns a store called complete free and knows how proper footwear would help these young women he spoke to the coaches talk to the tournament committee along with Israeli players parents that night they bought the shoes they got with the canyon coaches to get the size of every player kept quiet yeah and before the canyon's next game every Israeli player had the name of a canyon player called out and handed them a new pair of cleats sportsmanship I mean what you want to see what love looks like you you see it right there on the field between these two different countries but having so much in common and wanting to help out yeah that's amazing great story restoring faith in humanity in using sports that's outstanding tell you what Pam when I look through the double pane bulletproof glass we think DJ.

"Well we've got the arizona diamondbacks coming into town for four games so that would be a really nice topic to talk about but we're not we're gonna talk about hunter pence is crooked kite show and parents found out today that the fans voted him into the american league starting lineup he's an all star as their designated hitter think about all the great hitters in the american league really nominated a few that were basically d. h. is but he won fifteen home runs forty eight r._b._i.'s hit two ninety four and he is an all-star that is enough playing all the time no no i mean he was just a bitch guy with the when it all started and then he just had he just went off he had to make the team in spring training yup and he had a good we thought that was a big deal fact he made the team we thought was big deal we didn't quite know for sure what he was going to do once he made the team he had a general idea what he was gonna do but but in you know the one thing that that i think unite both have to lay it out there if you giants uniform he would not be doing this No. this needed to happen he needed to change he needed a different league you needed a different uniform he needed a different setting and he's taken advantage of it and it works three needed a different ballpark and i honestly thought he was done i did too i mean so many of his at bats last year where he just wasn't seeing the ball and you know he was gone out of the strike zone on the sliders down that dirt away there's no lower body in it i mean he was he was just kind of slapped hurt all the time yeah and i just thought well this is just awful to watch a guy who we loved so much bit so much this organization had really was one of the premier players when he was in his prime i thought he was going out so this cut me completely by surprise and is this started to become an argument as people were starting to start the the all-star argument for a designated hitter when i first heard that hundred pitches named cup no way yeah really started looking i mean we follow his at bats that's what bucks where we look at every day and big hits he's getting big hits so little by little he started put together an argument and and now he's going east the start guy it's great and you know what he's really not a d. h he's still really good in the outfield because he still runs well i mean he's not a young guy but he's very athletic when he showed up in a giants uniform he was one of the most unique in different players that we'd ever seen just because of how he went about doing his business he threw funny swung as bad in the circle funny swing lewis ready there everything he did was odd but everything he did was good so this is really this is fantastic the very first time he got here that you know he came in it landed the airport come to the ballpark and then he comes in and they all want to interview him and get his comments about coming from philadelphia here and he goes i have to go work out like what so he did he goes out and he works out which he did every day i'm he what he did to prepare yourself at extend his career we admired so much and then we got to know the guy that he became an intricate part of their successes it was just it was our pleasure he's also the perfect example of if you think you've got something left don't quit amen to give it another shot because you know what you might actually start the all star game if you give it another friend steel that uniform off your back so it's baseball we raise our glasses to you hundred pits that's on baseball enjoy the ball game Taipan baseball. "James. Brian McKean on the other side of the glass. Good stuff, Matt Devlin there. I got the TV on ahead in front of me. Number one, congrats Adrian bell trae, obviously great career underrated player should be a hall of Famer which forever. He was a lightning, rod baseball debates had his number retired in Texas last night in Arlington, and you look at some of these gifts they give the players on their retirement nights to jersey retirement soap is are like he's walking around in a bathrobe with the twenty nine belt trae on it who needs that number one is your thing. That's fine. Right. I associate that more is being a female thing. I was found a little weird like do verbs first of all, when I got out of the shower, I try off his quick as possible, and I put on close, I'd have time to be walking around and slippers and a bathroom, you're not doing your hair and your makeup. That's the reason women do so Asia Belcher just walking like not only is the bathrobe weirdly, does he need to personalize. Twenty-nine bell trae is easier biltrite getting out of the shower and your fifteen bathrobes hanging. And that's how he. Twenty nine bell trae that's me like it's a uniform. I'm become on. We could do better with the gifts. I know I know there's only so many fishing poles and surfboards you can get along the way. But the bathrobes a little much congrats Sadri trae good for him getting his number retired. That was your hot baseball take today as I fill in for Joe. Was Adrian fell trae retirement night. Now, I did tease there's going to be one crime, I think, with the NBA finals if when the raptors take care of business when because I think in less, you're a fan of the warriors, which if you are good for you. You know, you went we all know you went to enough losing before this dynasty was built. This dynasty, got very tired, very quick because of the addition of Kevin Durant, and it's our nature were better root against success. We what different things to happen. So if you're not a warriors fan kids, all your rooting against words have had it. And let's you just hate Drake neck as maybe root against the raptors but Drake's tattoos, even if you root for the warriors rooting for trade anyway, fraud that he is. But the biggest crime, if the raptors win the series is that suddenly over the course of time when we look back on really cool. Uniforms, the raptors uniform, the atrocious ones that say north in that upper VI with the red because they've really kind of symbolized and tried to take their candidates team Matt devil. Toronto's. That's why the red the white the Canadian flag and they represent the entire north. But the coolest part about the raptors. Is that their original jerseys or some reserves, but the purple and the dinosaur or even the Vince Carter ones with the black and the purple, those were really cool? Those were never lane. And when the raptors started to get away from it, and go to the red color scheme. I really stunk. But you know what teams try different things different marketing campaigns the obviously. So a lot of jerseys all over Canada. Because it's like, prideful it represents the country. But if you win a championship in a uniform that becomes the uniform, that's cool, and you will forever associate with the team and the raptors winning a championship in these north uniforms, means even if they tinker with jerseys give ten years from now fifteen years from now anytime you hear a rat their fate or anybody say, man, I really wish the rats are wear throwbacks a couple nights from the, the throwbacks are going to be the ones. They want a championship in because those are going to be the ones you finally remember and we're not gonna get the dump dinosaur ones that look like a purple cereal box as the cool throwbacks like they'll still sell them occasionally online, and, you know, might be really cool to show up at a beach, or a lake wherein one of those raptor jersey, but I'm telling you twenty years, I don't think that you're gonna be cool anymore because the raptors likely will have moved onto a different uniform because teams are moving on all the time now unless your traditional. Team and the uniform, they want championship in won't be the ones that you forever want, like here's a perfect example. I could give you and I know it's kind of a Homer, take because I live in New York at group giants fan. I see all the time. The giants beat the patriots wearing these white uniforms, at the registrar that, you know, love him, kind of like them. So fans are no longer really clamoring for the uniforms worn the eighties with the blue numbers and every now he's still wear them once a year but a lot of times fans annoy annoyed. Those are white uniforms, because they Societa them with beating the patriots that generation associates, those white uniforms, winning Super Bowls. You will associate the north raptor uniforms or winning a championship, and those will be the quote unquote, cool. Uniforms for generations to come, even if they move on throwbacks. I think it's a real shame because we went through the nineties craze of weird uniform. The Anaheim Mighty Ducks, the Toronto Raptors the Tampa Bay Devil Rays when they came out the Arizona Diamondbacks, their old uniforms and stuff like that. When it got cool, the have hip colors. Crazy. Do all sorts of goofy things and the rafters with dinosaur on. It was an awesome uniform now just at socks. If this is they win this, and now everybody's gonna love those north uniforms from years because I think there's uniforms are awful. Now, the process of that take like like an IndyCar driver racing in here comes Chris lopresti to make sure change the channel off the whatever I was watching to make sure we had the Tennyson watching anything Adrian, built trae. Come on. I don't care you could put up with you one. It's the same MLB network show. It's been running probably one o'clock, I've seen every every now and top TV because the computer that I'm reading off of the box is obscured book, you have a job. So I understand why is that the right? Word obstructive struck that, thank you. Could be obscure that grammar idler chairs on the although I didn't know main was m e earlier that come up tweeted me and I thought he was from Massachusetts. Why are we doing Maine? Why are we doing main? But Massachusetts is multiple MA's. Why can't you do it? How do you distinguish between the two? You figured zip code. You figure. What you mail it out. You're gonna get calls from angry postal workers. No, it's Sunday. They're off, they are off. They're listening. Maybe Newman out bagel coffee no questions. And they listen to you, and caribou, Maine. That's where I got it for no doubt. I said, there's no way caribou, Florida. I would imagine not a Cowboys. No. You don't wanna caribou, is it a moose a moose ego? Austria. But before with dominate team and now I pulled a moose Adam to that. Now, are you really into into the tennis or you just doing this because you have to read the school, I'm giving score? It's part of my job. I ended off this morning, what I be sitting down locked into the doll team. No, I would not. I mean, not that I have anything against it. A good tennis match every now and then where do they play the French Open in Paris? Okay. Yes. Parasailing big city in France. Find big like New York Boston and the northeast here France, not the big country. Yeah. I would imagine that Paris is the main metropolis Paris. You're not going to see like. You might go to other places, but they're probably not don't have the city like feel only one city in Paris. Again. I don't know. We say city I mean, well, I'm saying I'm not big. You know very they had their versions of Boise Idaho. Populated area. Yeah, not, not a suburb. You know, so Lou is in Paris, right? Correct. Okay. See, so they put all the hits in Paris. Now I shouldn't be speaking to this, because I've never been to France. I never have either. I'm asking the French Open here was on my mind. The French Open is one hundred percent pets you fly to Francis week edu Eiffel tower Lou maybe catch a doll match it done. That's it, you can get out of there and you. I'm sure there's a couple other things to do. I, I would know about it, though..

"My swing no doubt, mind, Vara shanked to the right or hook to the left, so that sounded pretty damn good right there day. Let me hear it again. Okay. T ended up Gene-o up. I'm teeing it up. Here we go. Yeah. I like that day behind glass. Jacob on the phone lines. Eight away everyone. Join me to the midnight hour. A couple of thoughts on tonight's game. Giants losing nine to to to the Atlanta Braves. Couple metal mistakes. I call them. Minimum stakes not known who's covering second base. Jeff, some margin and it goes to the infielders to and a ball that was a split thing or the tip the front of home plate bounce, right? Over busters shoulder, another missed mistake, right there, tough ball, right there. And then a double play ball that Holland got. And Salona was lake covering second base. These are mistakes. He's a big league mistakes and ended up costing them a game because after that home run balls were flying three of them. So the giants lost nine to two tomorrow, twelve forty five start about some Bumgarner against Kevin. Guzman. You can hear it right here on Camby are then. Arizona diamondbacks. Come in for three. They just got swept by the San Diego Padres. They're off tomorrow. Robbie Ray who always gives the giants fetch three and one with a three point two five earned run average against drew Pomeranz. That's Friday, he's one in four with a five point six both of them pitched against each other in Arizona last weekend. And one of the toughest things that you do as a pitcher when you face one team, and your next start your face them again. Tough, tough call and as a pitcher starting pitcher. And then, of course, the TV on the Diamondbacks on Saturday against Andrew Suarez who really pitched a great game against the Braves gave up a home. Run to the first header first pitchy through. And of course the last hitter before he struck out the, the last out of the inning gave up a home run three earned runs pitched very well. And then Luke Weaver, just a fabulous pitcher. They picked up a Goldschmidt, tray with a car does. He's three and three with a three point one four. Earned run average against Sean Anderson hasn't got a decision, yet zero zero three point six pitch. Two very good games for the giants. Couple thoughts here. Zach Grinky pitched the other day got his twenty five hundred twenty fifth two thousand five hundred strikeout put it that way, twenty five hundred strikeout and I was looking up. He's a thirty seven th pitcher in major league baseball and the act of pitchers. See Sobat the three thousand thirteen in his career just invert Lander with two hundred seventy nine sure's are with twenty-five thirty six then Grinky and then Hernandez up in Seattle. So some active pitchers still getting people out. All right. Eight camby. Are, let's get to the phone lines. Let's go to Santa Cruz to talk that A G man on kmby are tonight. Are you doing Jim? I'm doing good. Good show, a big fan fan of yours. It's been a while since you play don't wanna put any age on anybody. But did you play with the moon? Man. I sure did he was the closer, many years of my career I five years was there. Yes. You are you having a good a flashback of moon, ma'am. He was great. Why was he called the moon man? Oh, he did some different things when he was out of uniform, he did some wild things he did some funny things and I don't know if I could discuss that on air. But I'll tell you one we got into Houston. You probably heard the story, we got into Houston really late. It was like four or five in the morning. Rain and cats and dogs. We finally get into a hotel and manager says, everybody's taking a bus tomorrow at four o'clock we're not taking early, sir by get some rest while our whole teams in the lobby at four o'clock, and there's no bus there. Well, what moon man did is he went down there at three forty until the bus driver? There's nobody here go ahead and go to the ballpark. So we're waiting at four four fifteen for thirty now. No bus file, and we all get in Cavs go there and there's our bus parked by the curb, and here's moon Minton in a locker room all by himself. Well. It was one of the moon man things he did. It was pretty funny. But, you know, everybody else wasn't real happy about it. We'll get into ballpark late. But that's some of the stuff Mon man dead. He did some other things to some funny things. He always had a, a little comedy in his routine. So that's why they always call them the moon man. You know what he was going to do next? Great teammates. Always have thing. I've got a question on Bumgarner. And for sports tonight incident with the double play ball have never participated in a big league spring training or anything like that. But I gotta believe that what the frequency that teams are shifting and your defensive assignments that at your pitching and infield practice. It's pretty repetitive of how you cover that will play ball on my correct one hundred percent. Correct. And I was talking about this earlier, you see it now you saw back in the day. You see it in highschool. You see it in. College runners on first base the pitcher turns around who's got the bag is a shortstop or second base because when a ball hit back to you. My first instinct is of your God, second base. I'm thrown it at all or part of the bag. So you catch and flip it shortstop. You throw it in front of the bag. So he's catching he's crossing second base and he's got full momentum to first base. I do not believe he looked back at longoria or Crawford, because when he turned, neither look Goria Crawford knew who took the bag and you set it true to PFP pitchers practice. You do it on the infield. This is well as covering first base. And there's no doubt about Ron wilderness. We'll be talking about that to them tomorrow. Yeah. In Crawford, longoria or not absolve either. Because at the pitcher doesn't get you. You gotta get the pitcher today. Yeah. He's got whatever you see it all the time we see it everywhere you point back to each other. You do the, the hang loose kind of thing with pinky and the thumb out. I got you. You got me the balls. Hit back to me. That's instinct. That's what happens when a boss had back to you as a pitcher. That's what you have to do. You can't think one second longer. It's got to be all instinct and you saw what happened, when you think you mess up. You threw the ball away. Yeah. And it's a rhythm you watch the ballgame. It's the rhythm of all the players are always commuted, who's going to be where how many outs, there are after every out made one finger to finger. Out of that communication is perpetual on the field. One hundred percent right. G man. You're you're one hundred percent right with it. And everybody's watching the game. We're in the stands. It's, it's the same rhythm. You do all the time. But now you've got shifts. So you got guys out of position longoria and Crawford on right side of the bag on Gore's more shortstop he should've had the bag. That's no doubt there. Yeah. Bumgarner. And I hated a great giant, you more.

"This is the MAC and Gaydos best of our there was an incident at chase field. When the Yankees were in town, play the Arizona Diamondbacks. Congratulations to the Arizona Diamondbacks sweeping the New York Yankees and a short two game series. But the incident didn't happen on the field that happened in the locker room there were two Maricopa County sheriff's office deputies, and they do some of the security. They run the canine unit. Yeah. Just to make sure everything say sure everything in the locker rooms chase. Yeah. So these two guys actually, I don't know if they're guys these two could be woman shepherded deputies. They entered the New York Yankees locker room to conduct a routine security sweep and that's done at every home game at chase field. But they decided to stay around and get an autograph with some of the New York Yankees, especially CCC bath, you right? Who had I think it's three thousand strikeout. And so obviously these two deputies are Yankees fans, and they went into the locker room, and you know, they they started to approach some of the other New York Yankees. And the officers got booted out of the locker room and Paul Penzone Merca. Mckennie sheriff. He's furious. He doesn't like this. He's actually benched these unidentified deputies. So we were thinking two seven seven five eight two seven the roles of the roles. You can't ask right? Well, I think if you're I think if you're a Yankees fan everything goes out the window. That's just me on Yankees fan. You know, did you ever get shut down for an autograph or kicked out somewhere for an autograph or sell them d-? Yeah. Like, I autograph selfie a snob. Like who? Did you go up to and ask for an autograph or a selfie? And you got totally snubbed six zero two two.

Well, and that's why her her storylines the one I'm gonna watch the closest because remember there were times where she was almost a slave. Yeah. Yeah. Now, she's risen to the. Hey Bleacher report did a poll of dodger fans on three big questions. What are they? I will tell you next. Mason Ireland live from clermont's galley in San Gabriel ESPN LA. We are live at clear men's galley in San Gabriel. Getting ready for opening day. The dodgers taken on the Arizona Diamondbacks. It is Zack cranky former dodger for Zona versus Hon. John ru for the dodgers he gets the opening day start and the lineup is is out. And is I I like this lineup. I'm surprised I'm surprised actually that AJ Pollock. Is not in the leadoff spot. I assumed he was going to be lead spot every day. The other thing is we don't have the splits like maybe Peterson hits Grinky. Really? Well, I don't totally could they're they're they're kind of especially Andrew Friedman is kind of analytic striven kind of. Yes. So maybe kind of animal we've never really found out if Roberts is making the lineup or if he's getting handed the lineup. I if I had to guess between the two I would guess the ladder. I think they're handing him the I have a different option. I think he's collaborating on the lineup with those guys. I think they all go to a room, and they talk about they look at the splits. They look at everything. And at the end of the day, they agree on a particular lineup jock is six twenty two with a home run in four RBI against version. As to your collaboration theory collaboration only works. If one person has the final say, so someone has to have. Yeah. But I mean, look at the former general managers they had their I mean, they had foreign ID that Alex topless they who else who else. Greg Alex topless. They'd like five former Josh words was in the point game, Kappler work form. Right. So, but there's no way to me. And by the way, this goes for the Lakers to the great way to run an organization is to get as money as many smart people. You have into a room to debate to argue to decide ultimately what you're going to do. That's why. This is going to be somewhat. Somewhat a hot take. I think this summer, I think this may be the end of Pelinka. Well, everything I everything I hear from people around. You know, the NBA is that rob Pelinka is disliked. Let's let's play that out a little bit though. Pelinka came in with magic, right? Magic hired Pelinka. Right. Magic himself. He put himself on the chlorate. He said if I don't have this fixed by next summer, and that was meaning this summer forever. Twenty team. I'll step down you. She's not going to have to fire me because it means. I can't do the job. Now if magic goes then robs in real trouble. Because rob I would imagine that's a package deal. That's what I'm saying. Yeah. So the fact that if magic walks away, then your prediction comes through the fact that people around the league, don't like Pelinka, they think he's full of garbage. They think he's arrogant. They think he's all this stuff from the alchemist and from Hamilton and all the stuff he quotes, right? He's he's trying to be the smartest guy in the room. And there's an arrogance that goes along with that. Right. Well, in in a hard needle for rob to thread is that he was in agent. So remember that scene in Jerry Maguire where Glenn fry the late? Great Glenn Freitas is the GM of the cardinals which is the team that Cuba Gooding rod Tidwell place. Right. And he basically, you know, Jerry Maguire for a long time put the screws to the cardinals every other team and injury McGuire fell on hard times got down to one client, and Glenn fry said to him. It's time for you to see what it looks like from the other side..

They always have the patriots come out when they win the Super Bowl. So pretty fun. I'm guessing that's gonna gronk will come out there with all the trophy the trophy six right now. Rush. Six dean blandino the head of NFL refs before our river on the current head of NFL rush. Now DNA foxholes analyst. Came on. And our number two and said that he he's he's concerned about last two minutes of football game. Doesn't know how it's gonna work what he called it. The most significant replay changed since they brought replay back in nineteen ninety nine and that in terms of unintended consequences in the same way that you could right now before the rule that was passed yesterday challenge. Whether a ball was tipped or not thus negating a pass interference call because you can hit anybody down the field. You want with the ball in the air. If it's been tipped already so ball's tipped defensive back in just do what he wants to push receive a right over ball on the air. And if it's called pass interference. You could throw challenge bikes a hit a ball was tipped you need to pick up that flag. And now what you can see is. Let's just say it was ruled that the ball was tipped. And there was no pass interference on the play ruled you can go and replay and say the ball was in fact, not tipped at all. And that should be pass interference. That's one way that you might see this rule rear its head. If you don't like it another way is somebody says, hey, you called defensive holding. Now, we're going to go underneath the hood and say ball is actually in the air. So it wasn't a defensive hold. It was pass interference. So you need to give us the yardage. All the way down the field. Or you could basically say it was pass interference. You call it a pass interference against me. But it really was defensive holding because the ball wasn't in the area. Let's review that. And now you're team had had pass interference call against you. Can't have defensive holding call against you because that's not reviewable. But it is reviewable that the ball was in the air. And thus. Muscle. Just wondering if there's so much stuff. During games the defensive back is going to look over his head coach and be like I was interfered throw the threw the challenge flag offense of interference on this. We'll see it. But it still is something that a coach will have to be judicious about because it has not broaden. The number of challenges has not been broadened. It's still to to get a third for free. And if you've already missed your first, you might wanna make sure that the second you're damn sure about because you don't wanna be without challenges the rest of the game. That's for sure. And I'm glad they added the two minute part. Because can't you see someone challenging a hail Mary because everyone gets interfered with a I know so you better be careful too. Right. Offensive pass interference. All that set. If it gets rid of what happened in the NFC championship game right now all four. We'll see how it works. I also just think the chances of that happening. Like, we saw in the NFC championship game happening again are zero because we all saw what happened, and we all saw the consequences because of it that then again, I'm not willing to take that chance anymore. It was so bad. I mean, how the hell does that? How the hell did that happen? Right. Just to spend another twenty seconds on how the hell did that happen? How did nobody see that come on? So there has to be something in place to make sure that that doesn't happen. Again. I see I the embarrassment of what happened is enough. I don't think they needed to make a real change eight four four two zero four rich number to dial our poll question is what's the best basketball movie of all time in honor of he got wiping out being today. Anniversary today hoosiers running away with the correct forty six percent Hoosier. And I say, it's the best sports movie of all time. Now, the American Film Institute the venerable af in two thousand thirteen listed the best sports movies of all time. Right. Correct. And hoosiers is fourth on the list for behind raging bull. Rocky and the pride of the Yankees. Now, you could say pride of the Yankees better than hoosiers. I have not seen it in forever and a day mazing. Okay. Maybe I should look at it again. But as you know, my stance on Rockies, not a sports movie. It is a love story. And raging bull is not a sports movie come on. It's about Jake lamotta who happens to be a boxer and some of the boxing scenes are incredible. But that's not like, hey, you wanna see a sports movie tonight? Sure put on raging bull. Jackson. Raging bull raging bull tough rewatch. I raging bull is. Somebody tweeted out while I was whilst I was out of office. Okay, about if you're on an island like what's your five movies at you?
