The reasons, equity is at the top of that discussion, but there's another change. Eastgate will still be consolidated, but students and staff will all now go to spirit rich, which parent Kelly Smith said is better news. We're still concerned about how that would actually get pulled off. But it is an improvement, at least working with the notion of keeping our community together. However, now parent Lisa Ross feels that wilberton is being left behind. What's the difference between eastgate and wilburton? Why does east gate get to stay together as a whole, and wilburton not? They say the earliest those mergers could happen is the 2024 to 25 school year. Parents and staff at eastgate elementary school in Bellevue will plead their case for why their school should remain open. The district is recommending closing eastgate wilburton and ardmore elementary schools because of declining enrollment, they heard from staff at ardmore dozens of people, mostly staff argued are more should not close because it features diversity and unique programs. Closing her combining two title elementary schools does not align with BSD's emphasis on equity and it further continues marginalizing our highest need students who have the fewest means to overcome them. A third public hearing happens Thursday night at wilburton elementary school, the school board is expected to vote on the district's recommendations, march 16th. "State is working to rehabilitate 160 acres of forest near gold bar, the land was logged after Sierra Pacific industries bought the rights in 2020. But according to the Everett Harold, the land is owned by the state, so it's up to the department of natural resources to revitalize it. Workers will plant 26,000 new trees over the course of several weeks in hopes of reestablishing that forest. Public hearings are set this week in the Belvieu school district three schools in danger of being shut down. One of the questions we've been asking the superintendent over the last couple of weeks, for instance, what is going to happen to the kids here at eastgate elementary school. We've talked about 350 kids or so at this school alone because eastgate, ardmore, wilburton, they are all on the list to possibly be closed because of dropping enrollment numbers across the district, there are three public meetings this week. First, today, to talk about combining art more elementary school with Bennett, cherry crest, and Sherwood forest, Tuesday's hearing that looks at closing eastgate elementary school here. And then on Thursday, the focus is going to be on wilburton, elementary. That's come up four as Lee stole several newspapers across the nation, including the Seattle times, now dropping the cartoon Dilbert. The move comes after remarks made by its creator Scott Adams about black people. The time says it cut Dilbert after Adams called black people a hate group during his YouTube show. Adams claiming on the show, he was reacting to a poll or 26% of blacks said it was not okay to be white. The distributor of the Dilbert comic also suffering ties with Adam. And to continue just a little bit further, what you were saying about Bill spurrier's comment, he says, I feel sorry for bronze family, but they did get the opportunity to say goodbye, which I never got that opportunity. I had to say goodbye to my dad at the grave. And then he finishes up, said that when my son was born in Sicily when I was stationed there, so he's out serving his country, my dad traveled all the way to Sicily to hold his grandson. He'll never have the chance to hold my grandson. I mean, this just rips at your freaking heart. The way it tears up families, and this guy is just a little smart ass. That's all he is. Yeah, well, let me tell you too. I think Braun was rolling the dice. He thought because guess what see Kansas didn't have the death penalty at that point. So he pled, but he got life in prison. New Mexico, he avoided capital punishment, took a plea deal and they sentenced him to life. So he thinking, hey, you know, I'll go to Oklahoma and you know, hey, I'll just plead guilty, and they'll give me life in prison too. And that's where this train ride ended for Greg Brown because they said, nope. We sentenced you to die. So he was put to death by lethal injection. And Braun actually asked that none of his family members witnessed the execution. So, you know, well, here's the other thing. He got to say goodbye to his family. Yeah. The victims families didn't get to say goodbye to their family members. I don't want to get up on my soap box, but this stuff just really pisses you off the way that these murderers convicted murderers get treated.

Did they say, hey, look, he was missing a car was missing. One day, people say things. It's like, he was, he was arrested for killing a lady named Gwen Miller on July 23rd. He was expected of Coke and dorfer and rains. And he'd been identified by a photo lineup from one of the survivors of the art more shooting, but within hours of his arrest. This is when this happens. Greg Braun is arrested in Mexico for the murder. You know, another murder that he commits. Right. So he was exonerated. And you know what? That's just as important as finding the real murderer is ruling out those who are not responsible, even though this guy's a murderer in his own right on a different case. I mean, that's our job. That's what you do as investigators as you want to identify the correct person. You don't want to charge somebody with a crime that they didn't commit. I do want to clarify something. I talked about the three people shot in ardmore. Actually, only one died the other two survived. Sorry, misstated that. Yeah, they survived. But again, all of were shot with a 25 caliber pistol. But now, two days later, in Springer, New Mexico. Is when a lady named Geraldine Valdez, a convenient store, guess what? Another convenience store clerk in Springer New Mexico shot and killed with a 25 caliber pistol. So on Sunday, about the same time they arrest this Michael green for the murder of Gwen Miller, but then within hours of his arrest, bronze arrested in New Mexico, so this time they do catch the guy. He was and the other thing too, he said, when he was stopped, basically it was kind of like, well, gee, guess who you've got, you know, and kind of what took you so long, but he implicated

Police say the man who Ram two Police officers patrol car early Saturday and then began firing at the trapped officer has been booked into the Oklahoma County jail on charges of shooting with intent to kill. Another officer who arrived on the scene was able to take pace into custody. Officer Samuel Flowers was taken to a hospital and treated for minor injuries. It happened near Martin Luther King, Northeast 52nd streets and armed suspect who police say tried to rob a medical marijuana dispensary in Ardmore Friday night was shot and killed by A store employee who had a gun. It happened at the highest choice dispensary in the 700 block of Grand Avenue. Police say the store employees fired several shots and the suspect died at the scene. Ah, woman was outside in a getaway car. She was arrested. Moscow G County Sheriff Andy Simmons says multiple law enforcement agencies are working around the clock. To find the man who escaped from the county courthouse Friday after a judge ordered he be taken into custody on several felony charges. Sheriff Simmons tells news 4 39 year old Cory Rhone injured a deputy as he was fleeing and then once outside the courthouse, he got to do a gray Ford escort and fled the area. Was a violent individual if they see him if anybody knows where he's at, we're asking them to call 911 grown, is a tall white male about £200 and has several distinct tattoos. That'd be great so but the question is as you reflected on your time being a leader missionary leader hours that helps you become a better follower of jesus. Christ it is definitely humble me alive. It is very difficult calling but it provides a lot of challenges especially now during the pandemic. There's there's always a lot of pressure on the missionaries and were mission-leader to stay active into Keep finding new ways. I would not be able to do that by myself. I've learned to trust more in heavenly father to provide to delete some of that stress in to help me in kind of take my hand. Sometimes i'm having a hard time thinking about something coming up with something coming up with what we can do to help. Certain people that missionaries are teaching her.
