And they they also made a Benji to for some reason. Some movies don't need a sequel. Folks Benji is one of them. Let's be honest. Let's be honest. Benches Grapes Benji is great hundred down nations. I like prefer the cartoon version to the live action when the live action ones fine but the classic Disney cartoon versions better at Scary one close plays the protagonist in Matt Kerala Deville which it took me forever to put it together cruel devil Parrella Deville Cruel Devil Not really trying to hide much with the name anyways. "We learn something every week around here. Matt you're on with Ron McGill zoo. Miami go ahead and Iran and I have a two year old ball python. I'm wondering if I learned how to play the flu. Can I teach him to come up and dance out of a vase. Thank you the answer would be no and Confusing as Cheetah with a snake. And that's also misnomer because you know snakes. The Cobra is not Dancing to the sound of the flute because the Cobra has ears. It cannot hear the flute. So that's all a big misconception. They're usually coming out of the basket because the light shocks them and they they get into a defensive position. I mean the guy plays the flu. You notice any plays the flute. He moves his head back and forth. So what the snake is doing is going and moving back and forth to this the guys movement has has nothing to do with the sound of the flu. CRAG you're on with Ron McGill of zoo. Miami go ahead Craig. Hey Ron which animal would make the best lift pack the best. What left tackle in the NFL? The best left tackle which which animal would best at protecting. You gotta go with one one of the pachyderms. You GotTa go Rhino Hippo Elephant. I mean nothing's going through there. You would say maybe a gorilla but a- guerrillas not gonNA stop a Rhino a a- An elephant or hippo so I gotta you gotTa go with a package I think any kind of Lineman you're going with a pachyderm. I don't see a lot of great side to side movement there though and no no use of the hands Dan Huynh inside aside when you the size of an elephant through. I think they're just GONNA be susceptible to speed rush. Yes Dan and you got a trunk. That has forty thousand individual muscles can pick up a dime can take out anything and that trump eight feet long trunk. I mean you did then I I feel like I would do a swim. Move and get right past the elephant. First of all. You wouldn't be able to do any move okay. Really but but the million years old. You can't even keep track of the clock offense one hundred years old kicking extra points. I was there with the I had an injury. Neilsen's probably older than I am. How old are your elephants at the zoo? They gotta be in the seventies telling tell and elephants the go J. With Ron McGill of Zoom Miami. Go ahead Jake. Hey Ron I want to know in a twenty by twenty foot room with your life on on the line would you rather fight three wild-boar fifteen mongoose or the shipping container shipping container. What is he talking about a shipping container the guys here Mike R. Producers? Mike Roy Billy and Chris Three wild-boar Fifteen Mongoose on goes or all four of the behemoths in the shipping containers. have a butter knife. I would go go with I the behemoth. And he's got a butter knife the land in your on with with Ron Miguel of zoo Miami go headland hey ron. I was hunting the other day and saw Hawke swoop down and take a chipmunk so I was wondering one if a hawks swallows was it ship on coal in two if he does. How long's it taken the digest? No he won't swallow. The chipmunk generally speaking those birds of prey will kind of take it apart and once he seeks at all guys pretty quickly. I think within a day Max two days Max. It's GonNa be just at birds have a very high metabolism rate. They metabolize their food very quickly. Seven six four five six four eight three seven is the telephone number. If you WANNA talk to Ron McGill of zoo. Miami and Rica you're on with Ron McGill. Go ahead and Hello Ron I was thinking of serving reindeer. My wedding have you ever eaten reindeer. I have not I've I beaten Venison which is of course you know type of beer So I mean I've I've eaten in prepared properly. It was it was delicious But I haven't had actual reindeer. There is a very common food and a lot of the Slavic nations. You Gene. You're on with Ron McGill of zoo. Miami go ahead Eugene. How they run? I WANNA ask. That's what goes on when he wrote a dog's belly and starts going crazy. What's going on there? I can translate that for me damn because when you rub a dog's belly in the leg eggs starts going crazy. What's going on their joy right now? It's not joy there's actually a nerve that's being processed and causes that that that that scratching me flex because when it feels a scratching it seems like the body seems to I should be scratching because that's what I'm feeling so it kind of it kind of goes parallel with your fan. At your scratching it starts scratching because that's the feeling it gets when it scratches. Is that way. Does that make any sense. Yep Sean you're on with Ron McGill zoo Miami. Go Ahead Sean. Hey Ron Dog Later Tales. Because they're excited Do other animals do got as well like cow's no cows and antelope A lot of what we call the stock when they wag their tails it tends to be more orange alert for nervousness So and of course host will wag their tails also just to get rid of flies. I mean they're using that to eliminate the flies biting flies around their bodies but generally generally speaking when you see antelope or income of bovine animal in the wild kind of looking back and forth. It's just being alert. It's being alert and on on watch Ron on the dog ballet though does it feel good. Yeah of course. It feels good. If it didn't feel good it wouldn't let you do it You know it sits back and you can tell you wanna dog gets on his back and exposes his the first of all. It's being submissive. It's telling you that you are the head of the pack there and then once you scratch the belly that's kind of like your acknowledging your accepting as part of the pack and he loves that feeling. Listen there's there's two places dogs left to be scratched. Anybody doesn't notice at the base of the tail or in front of their chest. Why because it's the hardest part for them to reach so if you scratch you any dog go home? If you have a dog just go to the beach and start scratching my dog sit there and his eyes will start rolling back and it. Just Oh my God I feel so good. Same thing with the chest and they'll sit there. They'll keep coming back for more. It's hard for them to reach those places run. A thirty-three-year-old Aranka Tan was granted. Person Legal Person Hood by Judge in Argentina. Not know who ruled the Sandra. The Aranda is legally not an animal but a non human person thus entitled to some legal rights enjoyed by people. The hell's going along with that Well I think the judge was just doing what she thought was best to protect that animal. That view is closing They were trying to Do things with that animal that we're probably questionable and by a forty nine animal those rights. It made it possible that animal actually then we came here central. Florida is that the The Center for Great Apes Central Florida which helps rusty animals that are kept in bad conditions. Were kept him. You know taint industry I think you have to be very careful with what we do sometimes But having said that I do believe that animals have emotions I I believe they do have rights than I do believe they do. They are entitled to protection so whether to say it's exactly like a human being maybe pushing it but I'd rather be an era You know her on the side of caution Then they go the other way around. Kyle you're on with Ron McGill zoo. Miami go ahead Kyle. Thank you for taking my call. Ron I've gotTA stunk living underneath my shed. I've been trying to get him out for a while now. What do you do I don't know if you've tried putting a have a hard trip trap out there maybe with a good Good can of Moist dog food or even better than that. If you get like a good corned won't be passed or something like that and put it in the have a heart trap now understand that if you catch the skunk and I have a hard trap you need to have yourself a hazmat suit before before. You try to relocate it because you're GONNA get sprayed but that's probably the best thing to do is Get that animal until I have a hard to set a trap with some good really enticing food in there skunks will normally go into those hearts but like I said you gotTa make sure that you put on a Hazmat suit and you're willing to go that has Matsuda into the garbage. Never be used again after. Are you transfer. That's James With Ron. McGill zoo Miami. Go ahead James. Hey Ron I live in Jacksonville Florida and we had a giant African spurred tortoise walking down my street one day the neighbor fit a tuna fish sandwich. I'm wondering how long could that live in the wild or simply off of tuna fish thing which is important order. It's not gonNa live that long of tuna fish sandwiches I mean that's eventually going to result in vitamin deficiencies which are GONNA lead to the demise of the animal It's fourth tortoises becoming much more common here in the United States is imported pet. These animals get huge. That can be well over fifty seventy pounds that can live close to one hundred years. There's again. This is an animal that can survive fairly well. They come from a fairly arid climate so they don't do particularly well and real humid. Rainy climates the Florida's. Not The best place for it but those animals are very adaptable and running loose. It's GONNA survive very well because it's going to feed on its natural diet which are all kinds of fruits and vegetables and grasses and leaves and flowers. What is the video that you're doing play by play ready? Play circle the play button. Oh baby all this leopards coming. It's coming out. What the band grabs a lot? Alex God it's over to. "And there's no reason for me to talk about that with that being said we did not much against the tenancy titan. Probably no clue who I am to begin. Tired the coach? I retired signed to great Robert Mathis in Joe Wright's a couple of months later. I watched the draft Robert Mathis the Big Joe rights announce the pick. And then Ranga tan. In place zoo. I was not upset about it. Because the Aranka tan was terrible at his job. When that being said, the Indianapolis are the hottest team, not only in the AFC south, but the entire NFL nucleus surrounding. Grows drafted last year ten this year with the eighty nine pick of the two thousand nineteen and draft. The Indianapolis Colts Jim are saying and Chris Ballard select future hall of Famer linebacker from Stanford, Bobby. Oh, kore- key. Pat, McAfee everybody. I didn't even bear the titans that much. Much very very subtle shot. There is an old white people though from Tennessee. Not not love on an absolute blast. It was a really fucking day. I will say that record. Nick had a great tweet. And I wanted to follow up on it that that was basically a quarter of what you had planned on say. When did you decide to fuck in shorten it? Maybe so the night before when I was watching Thursday night and Godot just going up outsing the picking their Marie on. I was very worried. I was like maybe I shouldn't be saying anywhere near as much as I. So that is I wonder myself, I was like manna pet just doesn't go up there and do it with. And on the plane. I was told I forget who I talked to somebody told me that Nate Birla, Adam left. Oh, Adam left going talk to left go because he took our sticker off of his. Right which camman question. Go I talked to him. And he said, you're announcing it you donate Burlington's words from that draft day are actually printed on the lions practice facility. So they actually have been quoted on. So I was like, okay. Let me see what this is because I've never really paid attention to other people doing graphics. Then I watch his speech, and I was like, okay. So I can talk a little bit. So I can talk a little bit. And then I kinda watches the day one on and I kind of got a feel of how long I could go and how long I couldn't go, and what was too much and what wasn't enough. And that's when I decided to take out the Johnny United States. Peyton Manning speech in the Mayflower trip from Baltimore. Indianapolis in just go straight to the hits. You know, just go straight to the heat for the the modern Indianapolis Colts team. But yeah, there was there was quite a little everybody was everybody was very positive. I mean, a lot of heels in the WWE quotes, we were like this is fucking turfed. He'll promo which I respect a lot. I do wish I could've taken them on a little bit more of a ride because I think the ending would have been beautiful. But I just I enjoyed the fuck it. I mean, when you walk out there to one hundred thousand people there, the amount of energy that you just immediately feel it's like okay here. We like this is where I'm supposed to be. This is exactly where it was supposed to be. And then you look over and fucking Schefter. The guy pointing that was Schefter because as soon as I get on the thing Schefter pokes his little head up from around. Goes like this like chef. And I look over and is in has like his head down. I'm like everybody knows what's about to happen. And then I look down there at the bottom. I look across at the bottom in these people had no idea who I was the down here. These people. They had no clue I fake fans. They recruit from somewhere dress them up and put him in the front is that what you think they were the coats fans were the normal coats van, so okay, that's good. To know. I've seen the Tony Dungy Coney Dungy. I've seen that group before they obviously very excited, and they could see my head like from behind the stage..

"aranka tan" Discussed on Izzy and Spain

"I would walk around tiny spandex all day everywhere. I ever went. Yeah. That's just that's sort of what I would do Spain Fitz on ESPN radio, by the way with that image, just krill. Everybody's head. I'll give you a another thing that we learned. Let's say it that way out of the draft as we get a little analysis from what happened in Nashville, and I'll say this, obviously, it was a big draft for the raiders we knew that they were going to be a key to everything that happened with three first round picks. We definitely learned who Mike Mayock is GM because the raiders had a pattern in their picks for their for state picks came from either Alabama or Clemson and the types of players that they picked are sort of complete players that they have a. A work on. They didn't take a lot of guys that have any risk. They took guys that have a large body of of sort of of tape. A large group of film guys that you know, exactly what you're getting what when you get them. Whether it is Cleveland for all, obviously who may have been a reach four, obviously. But they take the best running back in the draft that had a big body of work. They take the best safety in the draft. They went right down the middle on everything with guys that you could look at and say, okay. I know exactly what I'm getting. And frankly after watching the raiders draft guys like Darius with bay for years just because they were fast. It was nice that they basically let years of tape over overrule anything else and take just sort of solid players. They think they can turn into great players. Yeah. I'm I'm hoping for your sake that it all works out. There was so much riding on this draft for the raiders really like any of those decisions could make or break how quickly they can turn things around and start winning again. And they just they don't have a lot of proof yet that that combo of guys at the top can make. Right decisions and the right guy. So I feel good about it with bare Scott with their pick Cleal max, I forgot about that nine that didn't work out what for. Back to my takeaways, which once again or not analysis at all the drop things that I found funny, and it was Indianapolis Colts. Punter Pat McAfee who now does a podcast and does some work with WWE coming out to announce whether the colts picks on Friday night, which I think should just be the whole draft thing. They should just have former players and funny people in animals and such doing it. But here is Pat McAfee here loan Nash real. I'm not gonna say a single word about the Tennessee titans record against the Indianapolis Colts. Because I was a punter. And what he started to do was every time he brought the phone he'd ring a bell. And after a while the dog would just listen to the bell and start to salivate, even if he didn't bring any food. "You know, damn dog -ly does being really interested in how how did they how did this all happen and going back and watching it now? All the science and all the social and critiques of planet of the apes. Now make sense so much more. I asked her to give us the basics eight biology one. Oh, one we are living in planet of the apes right now because humans actually are part of the great eight family were part of the family today, and in that great ape family there are humans chimpanzees bonobos gorillas Aranka tans, and then there's the poor lesser ape the gibbon which gets the shaft chimpanzees, which our closest genetic relative about ninety eight point seven percent, similar DNA to us and bonobos are two closest genetic relatives. Okay. But just to be clear apes and humans evolved differently in parallel. Right. They aren't just in line behind us on the highway. We have a common ancestor. So when point with chimpanzees about seven million years ago, we had a common ancestor, and our lineage what one way and there's one another and that the point being what? Chimps were seven million years ago is probably could be very will be very different from what they are today because they've been evolving, and they still are just like humans, but it's not just our genetics that similar our behavior. Overlaps two they used tools so they use dipping sticks when they're eating termites or ants. They're good at solving problems. As you see in the reboot of the series. What are the things that that primates do quite a bit is grooming, grooming, a huge deal? So the whole idea of us going getting our hair done or like, even like, your mom, braiding your hair or just sort of scratching each other's back. They have their own ways of grooming, one another and usually grooming in terms of who is in line in terms of hierarchy plays a role to one thing. That is very important is is primates all of them are social very, social when they are together, they embrace they hug, they, you know, they they roll around they play, and I should also mention plays a huge part of all animals, but specifically primates and chip. Being at war wasn't something invented by the movies. Males will actually have these groups patrolling the actually get together and they'll silently patrol their territory looking for outside males. And if they do find an outside mail. They can be very aggressive in times fight them and kill them in sometimes even eat them. So yeah, it's pretty rough out there sometimes for chip so apes our family, but maybe don't invite them to thanksgiving in our world. At least for now human primates are on top. I asked to tell you what do we have that? They don't communication. I think is really what gave human sort of a leg up language is incredibly important in terms of increasing sociability. I mean when it comes to communication, you can only do so much with your hands. You can only do so much with grunts. And and we and went not the fact that humans could communicate very well with one another meant that they could be able to hopefully survive in an environment. That is pretty forboding. Or warning each other for predators, for instance, to being able to speak basically is kind of it opens up the doors to a lot more possibilities for innovation. So there is a way to communicate. But even further you can explain okay ogg here take this stick. And if you rub it together, you know, you could only demonstrate so much. We often talk about finding our voice being heard speaking our minds as a metaphor for advocating for ourselves or having agency or even claiming our humanity. Natalia was telling me that essentially having a voice is what makes us human. So no wonder it's terrifying. To look at a world where we have lost our voice and another species has found there's but I was curious if apes right now could start talking. What would they say if apes Raval the talk tomorrow, I think they'd be very miffed at our behavior. That's fair. We've talked about what was going on in the nineteen sixties, politically and socially. But there was something crucial going on anthropology to something that dealt a major blow to the way human saw themselves..
