Lori Harvey & Damson Idris Are Officially Over. I Don't Think Anyone Is Surprised

"Welcome to another edition of Convo Over Cigars. I'm your host, Derrick Andre Flemming on a Friday. Let's talk about a big story right now. It's over. According to sources, Damson Idris and Lori Harvey have officially thrown in the towel on their one year relationship. They both issued a joint statement confirming this on, I think it was IG. Now the couple reportedly started dating around December of 2022, later confirming that they were actually together. Damson Idris is the actor and model from the popular FX series Snowfall, which aired its finale on April 19th of 2023. Now, Lori Harvey, for those of you who are not familiar with this young lady, she is the 26 year old stepdaughter of comedian and TV personality Steve Harvey. In a statement released by Damson and Lori Harvey, they said that we are at a point in our lives where our individual paths require our full attention and dedication. So basically we split remaining friends and with the utmost respect for each other. I just think Lori Harvey needs to just take a chill. This woman, you know, and I don't judge, that's not what I do here on Convo Over Cigars, but you know, the past relationship with Michael B. Jordan, other relationships that she has been in with high profile celebrities, we're not gonna really throw under the bus or call names, but she has had her share of celebrity boyfriends. And you know, like I said, this is the stepdaughter of Steve Harvey. I just think she needs to find herself. You know, a lot of times when you get out of a relationship, instead of jumping right back into another relationship, you probably just need to heal. Probably just need to take some time and say, you know, take a deep breath and just be like, I just need to recoup from this because relationships are work, man. You have to recuperate. You have to, you know, get back into that mental space where you need to be. It seems as if she leaves one relationship and jumps right back into another relationship. And I think that's why they never last. So my advice, not that she asked for it, but this is just my opinion here on Convo Over Cigars, Lori Harvey, just take a break and do Lori, you know. Take a painting class or something, you know. Take up some, you know, skiing or something. Find a hobby, man. You don't have to necessarily define yourself by who's on your arm or by trying to find love. Obviously you're not ready to be in a long -term committed relationship. I'm just saying. You guys have been locked in to another edition of Convo Over Cigars. I am your host, Derrick Andre Flemming. I'm hoping that everyone has a fantastic Friday. Take care, guys.

Binance Quits Canada Over Regulatory Issues

"Let's not bury the lead. Binance has quit Canada. Citing unsuitable regulatory conditions the world's largest exchange will no longer be available for Canadian residents. In a tweet on Friday afternoon, binance said, unfortunately, today we are announcing that binance will be joining. Other prominent crypto businesses in proactively withdrawing from the Canadian marketplace. We would like to thank those regulators who worked with us collaboratively to address the needs of Canadian users. Albeit a small market, it held sentimental value for us as the home country of our founder. We had high hopes for the rest of the Canadian blockchain industry. Unfortunately, new guidance related to stablecoins and investor limits provided to crypto exchanges makes the Canada market no longer tenable for binance at this time. We put off this decision as long as we could to explore other reasonable avenues to protect our Canadian users, but it has become apparent that there are none. So I think at this stage, it's worth trying to get a little bit of the history and context for binance in Canada. Obviously they are identifying some recent limits and new guidance, but there is of course a history here and it's worth knowing. Luckily, Canadian crypto lawyer Jacob Robinson did a threat on exactly that. He writes finances founded in 2017 at which time Canadian residents had access to the platform for crypto transactions. On March 29th, 2021, the Ontario securities commission notified crypto asset trading platforms that they had until April 19th to contact OSC staff to discuss regulation. These discussions revolved around bringing crypto asset platforms, operations into compliance with Canadian securities laws. The collapse of quadriga and an investigative report led to quote regulatory takeaways applicable to crypto asset platforms, which spurred these conversations. But this common in talk actually led somewhere. There are ten registered crypto platforms in Canada, and many more gave pre registration undertakings with plans to register.

Judge homers twice, Yankees overcome 6-run deficit, beat Rays 9-8

"The Yankee spotted the raise a 6 zero lead before Aaron judge belted a pair of two run homers to lead the bombers past Tampa Bay 9 to 8. We got a lot of grinders in this in this Clubhouse, man. These are some of the funnest games we've played all year. Judge hadn't homered since April 19th before he and Kyle higashioka each had two run blasts in the 5th, getting the Yankees on the board. Judge added a 439 foot blast the next inning to give New York its first lead. The comeback started after yandy Diaz hit a Grand Slam in the 5th. I'm Dave ferry.

I think it weather all the ages and when it breaks over to rich on her in the WTO traffic center. All right, traveling in prince George's county got a call from one of our listeners, Norfolk route four, Pennsylvania avenue at dower house road to crash along the left side traffic squeezing by single file to write police and fire rescue are now on scene, so be careful approaching their as a delayed building there as well. So be careful once you clear it, better headed north toward the bell white. Now, if you're traveling southbound, all lanes are open, but you may see a brief rubber necking delay there as a result. Now, in the process of picking up the work on the interloop of the beltway, as you head north of the dulles toll road toward Georgetown pike. However, in the process of picking up, they've got one disabled track to trailer out there, so it's kind of complicated the process of picking up the work so just be extra careful. You're getting by single file past what's left of that work sound. Back in Maryland, the work on the bay bridge completed. We've got three lanes westbound two lanes eastbound and no delay in either direction, back staying in Maryland, southbound 95 southbound Baltimore Washington Parkway, good start this morning. No issues if you're headed up to a BWI 95 or the BW Parkway looking good to 70 south and Frederick down to the beltway free and clear as well. "Morning, Joined by Fox News host Fox News Sunday. Chris Wallace. Good morning, Chris. How are you? I'm great. Thank you so much for having me on you. Well, congratulations on publication day for countdown bin Laden. I'm holding it up for my YouTube audience. I have got countdown bin Laden in my hand. It's the advanced readers Edition. Which means it doesn't have an index so I couldn't do the Washington. I actually had to read it, Chris. So this will be an unusual interview for you. I know often on a book tour, you'll run into host who haven't read it, but I've read it. So I want you to know that at the beginning Um You time this obviously for the 20th anniversary of 9 11 not knowing that it would also be the ongoing defeat and rolling evacuation from Afghanistan of America. What has that done to your plans to talk about the book and your book tour? Well, not not nothing, really. And in fact, I think has probably made it more topical. I mean, I always knew that the 20th anniversary of 9 11 was a good hook if you will for for Publishing a book, but I think that there's obviously a lot more focus on Afghanistan now than there would have been and you know, quite frankly, the idea that the people Were in charge of Afghanistan on 9 11 when almost 3000 of our fellow Americans were killed are back in charge of it today and and the way we got out, I mean, that's that's Is a very raw subject with a lot of people what I got, you know, they're obviously I have different thoughts because of that, and one of them is as badly as it ended. And as badly as I think most Americans feel about The execution of the way we got out. I think this point this book points out two things you and one is we accomplished a lot. We did a lot in those 20 years. And the most important thing is what we set out to do in the first place, which was To kill bin Laden to avenge 9 11 to degrade Afghanistan, the Al Qaeda in Afghanistan and you know to protect the homeland, and the fact is there was not another major attack coming from Afghanistan in these 20 years, So that's that's a lot And the second thing I I just think it's a case study because it's badly handled as the evacuation and the and the withdrawal was in these last few weeks. The bin Laden, the CIA, a finding the compound the deliberations going on inside the White House and meticulous planning by the seals and the special forces. You know, as a case study of how well this country can do When all of the military all of the communities and the government work together, So you know, in a story that ends badly. This is a highlight. I've interviewed a lot of the people that you did obviously have not talked to Secretary of defense. Panetta, who was CIA director at the time, but Admiral McRaven has been a guest Mike Morrell has been against when his wonderful book came out. I've been just a lot of people that I crossed paths with. But the most interesting thing to me about countdown bin Laden Chris Wallace is the dog doesn't bark and I want to go to page 1 92. The stress of not knowing was getting too McRaven. Maybe by the end of today's meeting, and this is on April 19th of 2011 12 days to go before The mission. He'd have an answer. In any case, he had to be perfectly prepared, able to answer every question not only from President Obama, but from anyone else in the situation room every heavyweight in the administration. Panetta, Gates, Clinton Biden Mullen would be there, too. And all the top military brass. There were some great minds among them, and McRaven didn't want to be blindsided again. I don't have the final book. I've got the readers copies, so there's no index I believe That's the first time that Joe Biden is mentioned, and I believe the only other time he has a substantive comment in here is on page 2 11, where he says he doesn't really want to go ahead because he'd be more comfortable with more information. He's generally the dog that doesn't bark, the president of the United States. I mean, everybody else is in here again and again. I mean, Gates doesn't want to do the mission. He changes his mind. Panetta is always in favor of the mission. Mullins in favor of the mission. Did you find it impossible to pin down the Joe Biden story? Tony Blinken is in there on page 23 opposed to the mission early on, but generally they're not there. No. And I've got to tell you. I mean, you're there's a reason you're Hugh Hewitt. You're very perceptive reader. And the fact is, as I went through that this story, and I interviewed as you say, Gates and Panetta and McRaven and The fields and, uh Hillary Clinton, Uh, Go by the same barely came up. It wasn't a player in this whole thing and You know the one time that as you say he kind of ways in as you know. April 28. The president is going around the tables in the in the situation room. All right. What's your final recommendations? He goes first because he's too frightened. He's the vice president. Biden and Biden says. I don't think we have enough information and I think it's too much of a danger that we're going to ruin our relations with Pakistan, and we rely on them to get supplies into our forces in Afghanistan. And then they move on and gates as you say, is against it, and everybody else is for it. And that's it, And there's another struggle has never been told before, which is that on the way back to the Pentagon, Robert Gates, the secretary of defense Mike Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs are in the car together being driven back, and Gates as he did in his memoir, had apparently said a lot of times two people. Joe Biden has been wrong about every major foreign policy decision in the last 40 years. And.

Joe Biden Mike Morrell Tony Blinken Chris Wallace Chris Hugh Hewitt Robert Gates Hillary Clinton Biden Mike Mullen April 19th of 2011 April 28 Al Qaeda Fox News CIA Gates Panetta 20 years two people 12 days

He has not played since April, 19th that after coming back after a long stretch with a broken bone in his hand But he has impressed when he has played this season 51 into a buck 60 goals against average, with a 9 39 save percentage for his career against the Blackhawks. "Can we put you on. Hold can you stick with me all right to help you thanks. So we've got a caller on the line here. I believe this is kayla from colorado springs. Kayla thanks for joining us. Hi good morning all right so i know. We talked a little bit earlier on the phone. You've heard a little bit of what michael peterson. The power to play his head to say But what would you like to say. Well i think it's unfortunate michael I do know that this this dead kind of start on saturday and let me let me back up a minute. I don't condone anything. That happens one way or the other. We got a bigger. If anybody condones what took place on sunday absolutely That being said we're not going to get into the dramatics of it because again that is with the police and that's where it should lie As far as things that took place as far as between the teams there was a little bit of of discord on saturday. But this is all. I mean they do also want to point out the these teams they live at howard a play. They practice there and so forth. We have not. This wasn't our first time being howard place. We've been there for. Actually you know had kiddos played there for years with various teams and this is not something new. We see this. Every time we come to power to play Not once have. We been talked to about the events of saturday. I know that the number the number was given and michael with asked to call which he did not do. I have read correspondence from michael stating that. We only paid a certain amount of a tournaments. The and this is what comes when people of low economic class don't pay the full fee and and have it all in text message. Okay that's serious stuff that you're talking about right now. It is and i have everything we need to prove it but we have not one been talked to about what happens I know that. Kenny has Graciously offered to talk on the phone and not via text Because it is an incident that we felt like needed to be talked about Again he was blocked in every way shape and form and that was clear in an emailed. Michael sent to everybody and then he went on a you know social media rampage. You know i appreciate. I appreciate you calling in and letting it. I'm going to give michael time to talk back to but we appreciate your call and you got onto the text line here so if you have any tax if you wanna comment come back. Thank you so much for the call. Let's get michael. Peterson back on the line. There i believe we do have michael michael. I mean that's some serious. Like i said i i. I don't have any text correspondence with party..

"Calls again on ten seventeen. Welcome back no co now. Live from the cushions specialist studios. Thanks for being with us on this monday. Haveus lee The power trip follows us every single day every single weekday but there was an event that kind of caught my eye over the weekend. That happened power to play. Facilities was talking obviously like we had talked about my My girlfriend had been working there at the time. She had notified me of an event that had taken place a. I don't know scuffle how the that took place What were you wanna use there But wanted to bring on. Michael peterson power to play sports to discuss this a little bit further. Michael thanks for joining me this morning. Michael michael peterson are you there. I am now. We're having a little problem with the phone. Are you guys hear me. Okay yeah we can hear you now. We can hear you now. Thanks for joining me this morning. Obviously my goal. You've been running an event center for quite some time. These things happen but you always hate when they do. Yeah and it hasn't happened probably three and a half years at our facility but there was I'm you know there's a pending police investigations. So i wanna be respectful of that. But i can talk in general of what transpired and and it's just appalling that this type of stuff happens but if we don't do anything as an institution we've become part of the problem discern. That's not gonna happen. We're holding people accountable. Let's talk a little bit about it. Like i was talking about. My my girlfriend was working. The event got a text from her about what it kind of happened. So these two teams from my understanding had played the day before things had gotten a little chippy. Then but things just boiled over on on sunday am i to understand was was this. Jv level girls basketball game. Believe it or not. It was easy girls that asked if all level game championship game. You're correct there. Were issues on saturday. We have voted the team on saturday immediately based on our standards but we tried to talk them off the ledge. They weren't having it. And unfortunately i'm not gonna even give them credit mentioning their name or individuals. But you're gonna go on to power trips facebook or my personal face. The videos of what went down of a salting a minor. A mother came out of the stands went after the opposing players. There's vulgarity and file language impersonal threats against email management and the staff power to play handled it amazingly the good thing is every inch of our facility with the exception of the restrooms is livestreamed and we have recordings and have been through it up and down and they are one hundred percent responsible for what transpired the most disheartening. Part of it is their response. Was they were justified. Because of the officiating in their minds it was all because of the officiating those world if you have a caller to that doesn't go their way once we have the professional athletes athletes back on the court. It's going to be a free for all for each other at at athletic events. So obviously this is. We've talked about it a number of time times michael win you talk about the environment around youth sports as well but again this. This was a yes. It was a championship game. It tournament i get the passions can get there but for all. I mean. This was an exhibition. Came right the record with anything like that so want to be clear about that as well. Michael may have rubbed some people the wrong way with that facebook post. I mean you lay it all out there saying that they should never be allowed an youth sporting event. Ever again stand by that. Why is it that you feel like going directly at this is the best way to do it. You know what. I don't know if it is but i do know this in our society. This happens all over and we even have other things going on and currently northern colorado southern colorado where things happen and they sweep it underneath the rug because they're afraid of things that happen in their facility and if it happens in your facility it is not your fault as long as you hold people accountable. But what transpires is in the club world. Money is such a driving force that very few of these institutions will ever hold anybody accountable because they believe while i won't get their money or sophomore in high school as a parent and it club director. You have a responsibility to no matter what happens to not physically and verbally assault an opponent. That's it and if you don't like what's being posted after it happens then trust us do it. Here's the good thing about this. This was a recruiting event for colleges around the region and every single one of those colleges gets this information and unfortunately based on parents conduct and the club director and the coach. None of those kids will probably ever see an opportunity to be recruited the perpetrators the ones that didn't do anything they should continue to be able to play. But hopefully they'll go find someplace else until i talk with. Michael peterson owner of power to play sports. So i gathered all the information and talking with everybody there. Obviously we talked about in ongoing police Investigation beta this matter with all that being said there was nothing in your mind or nothing that has come about that would have sparked or justified the response from the people involved with the with the solta that that happened on sunday short of felony activity of murder or assault. What would justify any sporting event a person being upset about a call about a technical foul or any actions on officials that would justify physical assault towards another human being to your to your understanding. Michael there is nothing else. There was no nothing else going on. This was directed because of a missed. Call or something along those lines. Well it was a mess. Cau- and i can only go by what they're club. Director sent us in an email and not one word was we were wrong. we were. This was out of line. It was immediately justified because of officials. Not just because of this calls. They mentioned specifically. They gave one of our girls a technical foul without a warning. And then the second thing was they had mentioned that the scores table gave the opposing. Team's two-point extra. So i guess two points and a technical foul was their standard. And if you watch the video there is a woman in a white jumpsuit. That literally takes fifty feet walking and everybody in their party sat and watched and encourage this enough activity to happen or they wanted to cross and she literally the.

Biden announces US has administered 150m Covid vaccine doses

"Biden announced the United States has administered more than 150 million covert 19 vaccines in the 1st 75 days of his administration. It means a shorter wait for those not yet eligible in their states, even though finding an appointment can still be challenging in many places. President has also said that by April 19th all American adults will be eligible for a shot. Dr. Becerra should care is the biting administration's vaccine coordinator who spoke this week to our medical contributor. Dr J. But an ABC s Aaron capture ski Seems Doc. We're making good progress getting shots in arms. But that may not be enough to stave off these variants. Well, there's been a lot of progress over the last many weeks we've administered as a country more than 165. Million doses. This is a big deal, and it is a long journey, so we really need to make sure that we're keeping our guards up. Can you give us your best estimate of the time line from there? One will most Americans be vaccinated, and there's a lot of discussion about herd immunity. When do we expect to reach that? It's hard to really predict when all adults will be vaccinated in this country for many, many factors, So we're pretty confident we're gonna have enough supply. The second piece. We have to pay attention to would be. Are there enough places for people to getting vaccinated? And we know that this is definitely moving in the right directions. There are literally thousands and thousands of community vaccination centers across the country. Tens of thousands of pharmacies by April, 19th will be available and we know that FEMA is also running community vaccination centers and partnership with states once we get to the 40,000 retail farm See locations activated about the 80% of people in this country will be within five miles of the location to getting vaccinated and then making sure that we do have resource is to support with transporting people back and forth if transportation is an issue, what about
