So instead of you wait until you get sick to see your boring old android doctor, A spiffy apple doctor calls you up. Expresses surprise You're able to answer the phone, given what they know about your cholesterol. I paid extra for a feature on my apple Watch. This is not a joke. Or at least I put this setting on. So if I fall over, like during a run, it will call 911. That is a setting on this watch, old man thing to do. Well, you know, it was an extra five bucks a month or whatever I sprung for you Put a life alert on your apple. Watch exactly Listen to you set that when you get into your walk in tub. I really have that on my watch. And it really is something that gives me a certain amount of comfort. The problem is that when you use your lift chair in the stairway don't get credit for the steps. Am I right? That is one of the downsides of the city. Anyway, my my vital organ would come and I would never remember my password. That's another problem. Yes. Can you imagine having to show your face to a lung? So try to up? Uh, can I tell you that the face ID on my iPhone stopped recognizing me this week, and I know we've all changed during the pandemic. "The Maison with Kevin Nation. You probably haven't heard about this yet, but this week, Apple announced they're going to allow podcast subscriptions. And that's just not everybody. Thought, I guess if I wanted to go to Apple and say I want people to pay for the Mason minutes, but I'd be kidding myself. And I asked, you are there podcasts, you're willing to pay for. I have to admit, I'm a big fan of podcast, not only my own podcast, which has been going on now for over a decade. But other podcast I listen to and there are some might become fans of that. Have come and gone and there are some that I still listen to this day. But yet they get a little bit longer, get a little bit more boring and I wonder if they're going to try to go to a subscription model either. I understand when there are some organizations especially a lot of newspapers and television stations radio people, things like that trying to find ways to monetize their podcast commercials. Well, nobody loves them, nobody wants them, and sometimes you have to endure some commercials to listen to a podcast or two, but at the same time. Are you willing to pay for this? You never have to worry. I'm never going to charge for the Mason minute. Besides what would you pay for seven minutes of listening a week? Yes it takes time and yes it takes money but the same time. What are you really getting from image?

What's New With IOS 15

"I thought we'd start off this week. Show by looking at some of the new things coming to iowa west fifteen and how it may be able help individuals with disabilities and maybe really all of us in some way shape or form as we all know. Iowa's fifteen was announced here lately by apple and we'll be coming out sometime this fall but i thought maybe we just touch on some of the things that were announced now in this will only kind of touch on the accessibility features as we'll dig into that. A little bit deeper as time goes on. But i just wanted to talk about some of the new features being added taio as fifteen i is. They're making some changes to facetime. So facetime will now allow for spatial sounds so the folks will sound like they're coming from wherever they're actually located on your screen portrait mode allow callers to blur their backgrounds and have the focus on them and you'll also be able to use share play to listen to music and watch programs together over facetime even if you're thousands of miles away from each other. I'm really excited about something. Called focus tools so focuses a new feature that will allow you to filter your notifications and apps based on what you want to focus on. You can say your iphone to create custom focus which will use built in to suggest which people in apps can notify you at a certain time or place when you set it on one device it will translate onto all your devices that you have logged into. You can even have your home screen chains to relevant apps for better focus. Would it blocks. Incoming notifications will automatically display this to others in messages so that they will know that you will not see their notification at this time the making lots of to apple maps including increasing availability to get walking directions using reality. It will also give you prompts of when to disembark when you're using public transportation which can be really beneficial to individuals with low vision or who happened to be blind or really anyone who gets distracted and forgets to get off their stop. Which i'm not gonna lie. I have done more than once.

Future-Proofing the Digital Health Ecosystem

"Health is becoming front and center and for very good reasons so talk to us a little bit about virtual health. How are you guys adding value to the ecosystem. I mean just to complete the story of how. I got the jump from aging in place to healthcare as you mentioned in the introduction i mean i have a family member asked away for late stage diagnosis and that was my first exposure to the healthcare industry. I found it extremely frustrating experience as many people. Do and the one thing when the you know the individual ultimately ended up passing away. And i think the one thing that i really had difficulty with was the first one was high risk. There were forty year. Smoker ended up having lung cancer. You would think that if you're proactive in healthcare you would suggest maybe a just a basic x ray lung x ray right and if you've been able to discover this early you know that person still beer which is obviously the most important thing but i also have spent we also have saved the Health systems and the amount of time spent the waiting rooms and dealing with chemo. And the amount of money and resources were taxed from from a system that's over and then having the insurance companies spending millions of dollars for end of life care when it again. If they had been proactive. It wouldn't have had to spend that money right so for me. It was just a very simple concept of if all of our incentives are aligned. And we're all lying to find conditions early especially in high risk populations in. Why aren't we being proactive. And white we all work together. So that was my my impetus to start virtual health inspiration which was basically the technology that we're using for aging place it also could be utilized for any type of high risk ovulation. Obviously the elderly in a part of apple also people who are underprivileged underserved and using data to essentially detect those high risk individuals and intervene at the proper moment to save healthcare system. It's shredded cheese and chopped pimento peppers and some kind of creamy binder To to create a thick and slightly chunky. But yelich just spreadable consistency. So let's let's break that down The cheese is often a shredded short age semi hard tangy cheese like Often a blend of white and orange cheddars and or similar cheeses like colby or jack or even processed cheeses like velveeta the pimentos. These are usually jarred or canned sweet peppers. Which will have been up healed and cooked No seeds yep. Mentos are a type of sweet pepper. That turned just bright orangey red when they're ripe whereupon they are sweet and just a tiny bit tangy like like little to no bitterness vegetal flavors in there You can also use pickled peppers or a roast your own sweet peppers of whatever variety you choose a the binder is yes often mayo often dukes brand towards the east coast and blue plate brand a more towards like louisiana sometimes cream cheese may be involved as well and right. You generally wanna use enough to stick everything together but not enough to like make a sandwich kinda soggy or drippy right also. Most people will say that you don't wanna over mix the ingredients. It'll get kind of mushy. Which isn't the idea somehow trying to go through my rolodex of Experienced it can can vary pretty widely and speaking of to this base. Any number of seasonings may be added a salt and pepper onion powder or freshly grated onion or green onions or garlic to sheer sauce. Hot sauce apple cider vinegar lemon juice paprika cayenne pepper chili powder chili sauce like a saracho horseradish mustard. It can also feature kind of like guest star mixon's like jalapenos or fresh sweet pepper dill pickles. Bacon smoked gouda blue cheese. Parmesan toasted pecans chopped olives. Fathy Yassa: Why I Founded Speechmorphing

"So so. Let's go back to the beginning because this company was founded in two thousand ten long before you know before syrian long before Or before apple introduced syrian acquired nature desiree but Long before voice. Assistance came into our home. Why did you found a speech more opinion and what what particular problems where you hoping to solve fantastic question because i love telling that story. As matter fact before speech morphing i had the startup networks that was dealing in mobike consumer video demand and i was licensed content from all over the world back from europe. Any any country you name i would. I would have licensed something from them from the us. From latin america the middle east and it just hit me that while i was watching multiple a muffler content the ma languages which speaks some of them It occurred to me that. Why in the world are we dubbing movies in a higher actors voice rather than dubbing the movie in the original actors. What's good my thoughts in that. Well let me see if we advocated the actor's voice and make them speak as if they spoke that look language via the american actor and we we produce to the movie to europe in france or in italy. Why can't we make him speak. Italian or french in the is the original accent and that made me think about the well. Let's let's take it on. And i looked at the market i. I the markets with multiple providers including dubbing studios and so on and at influence identity the like the right timing and sure enough by the time we should point today. That is the i demand for this kind of application while certainly a love division Back then and i love the watched a lot of movies and always interesting when a voice gets dubbed over in. it's like it does not match right it's it's a great use case in a great example. But you know. From that time and that impetus for kind of moving forward with a with the company you've actually gone into banking or you know other Other industries up. Let's talk a little bit about you. Know what were the. What were the early adopter industries for for the technology speech had developed. Yes so why do we were developing the Points where would act actually at today and being able to service the entertainment industry as we speak prior to that as we were developing the content of the the technology. It occurred to us that the well there are low hanging fruits wide with perfecting the the the the technology for payment which is demanding from equality. Sample that are other markets like the banking like the person assistance someone a chat bots and so on that could take advantage of the quality of that we were able to produce years ago already and so we decided that that at that time we should go after those markets because there was demand actually and customers would be equipped by other companies to provide those solutions. The and of course we can talk about how different out. Solution is compared to others but That's what brought us to the banking in the and we have seen quite a bit of disability from multiple multiple multiple businesses for our solution would actually inactive conversation with the number of those you speak and not only that but also integrated with the likes of genesis media into their services and In order for us to buy out solution to the customer so we are actually out in the market with that kind of our with our technology for the banking industry and other a call center as well as a this assistance provided.

And then barred Apple from telling them about the reported move during that time period under a non disclosure agreement. That is for investigating a leak, and there's a whole bunch of people that they're looking into. They're not supposed to investigate a leak. Apparently, that's the case, particularly if it That benefits the Democrats and hurts the country. The accusations do not go into detail about the DOJ investigation. It's unknown what federal investigators were looking into. Even if McGann himself was their primary focus, or whether it was somebody had contact with Apple reportedly did not inform again what they had turned over to DOJ. Report did state that Apple received them again subpoena weeks after another subpoena was issue that was connected to leaks and the Russia probe. Now you don't get everything yet. It starts making google chat available in g mail in the place of hangouts chat which it is interoperable with but has a few different features. It's mostly a renaming so if you go into settings right now and say. I switched me from hangouts to google jet. You get a different look and you get a few more. Well maybe bell and whistle. These group chats are not the same however as rooms you may find that some of your older chats were set up as rooms in hangouts and rooms will reappear if you switch to this showing up separately but don't get too used to that because rooms will soon be called spaces this. "The apple watches a great example to me i bought the first apple watch knowing it wasn't the greatest thing i i wanted to review it i wanted to have it in have my own experiences with it but now the apple wash in its third generation with the new watch os four with a new internal that make it speedier and quite honestly the elti e for someone like me who works out in wants to have access to everything but not be fully connected with the phone the apple watched series three elti is legit like i love it that's good and i didn't i didn't love my apple watch before after two generations but now i'm turnaround man you've definitely turnaround on apple watch since the lama show love on the products good rate when it's so i think that that's a good sign that each maybe find it takes them a little longer to get there we i want them to come out with dope stuff i wish they came out the amazon echo quite honestly hurts they should at least kinda did with syria i mean they were the first to have like a you know a personal assistant were talking to guess but it's not it's not doing with the echoes doing hate getting back to the the aar headset when the is going to succeed the iphone would what does that mean it's going to be like like a accessory to the iphone or it's that sounds to me like well the title yet the titles a little tricky but i think what they're just trying to say is they're next breakthrough product right that will six like we had iphone we had ipad what is the next big apple pie i think people should listen to our show even as far back as two three years ago or i've always said look i'm not trying to be msrp future predictor but if there is any product that could be the next breakthrough product for apple it would be a pair of glasses oh yeah yeah.
