Rep. Scott Perry: Mondaire Jones' Fabricated Points About Jan. 6
"Not a minute point it is truth versus fiction. Yeah, think about it, Todd. Now, just to be clear, that's Dan bishop representative Dan bishop and chip Roy chiming in there, both freedom caucus members. I'll have you know also that mundane Jones, the Democrat who was making the claims that but for causation. So what he's saying, Todd, if someone died anywhere on the globe on January 6th, it had to do with January 6th because January 6th happened and somebody died. So but four causation will causation is important. Unfortunately, officer Brian picnic died of natural causes in or about the same time, I think he died January 7th or January 8th, but it had absolutely nothing to do. It's sad to be sure. It is tragic to be sure. It's a young man died before he should have absolutely. But had absolutely nothing to do with the events of January 6th and of course these folks, you know this Todd. I mean, on that day and the days after it immediately after it, every single media outlet went out and told the American people over and over and over again that this officer was beaten to death with a fire extinguisher and of course we were all shocked and appalled and so offended at the possibility that one of our citizens would do that to somebody, any citizen would do that to somebody completely fabricated. But yet, you know, we're a year and a half almost going on two years later and they just keep on promulgating the lie and there are a certain amount of American people that just, you know, if the ambition wouldn't have said anything, they're prone to believe this. They would believe it.
Tucker Carlson: Javier Salazar Is Using Biden's Talking Points
"And his Tucker pointed pointed out, it's hard not to continue to be amazed by this story. Check out Tucker's monologue last night when he talked about bear county sheriff, Javier, Salazar. As we understand it, 48 migrants were lured, and I will use the word lured under false pretenses into staying at a hotel for a couple of days. They were taken by airplane at a certain point. They were shuttled to an airplane. Where they were flown to Florida, and then eventually flown to Martha's Vineyard. Again, under false pretenses, as the information that we have, that they were promised work, they were promised the solution to several other problems, we do have the names of some suspects involved that we believe our persons of interest in this case at this point, but I won't be parting with those names. I think to be fair, I think everybody on this call knows who those names are already, so I won't be naming any of them. That's appalling and shocking. For any law enforcement official, a guy who carries a gun and has a right to shoot you, to be parroting Biden administration political talking points in front of a camera. That man should be ashamed. That is completely over the top that he would say something like this. This is all crazy. We're being invaded and now they're talking about prosecuting Ron DeSantis because he sent 50 people to Martha's Vineyard to immediately deport us and they wouldn't get in the way of the food and wine festival. True craziness.
Cassy Garcia: Immigration Is a Red, White & Blue Issue
"Just one last point just quick on this You know fascinating too how the government when Arizona implemented that real ID system the federal government made the argument that no no no this is a federal government policy We're going to do what we want We control immigration Arizona you'll do nothing about it And then when California and New York say no we're not going to respect immigration law We're going to make ourselves sanctuary cities and go no no no That's a state thing You could do whatever you want It's like guys you can't have it both ways right Either immigration is a federal issue where it's not It seems to me like libs want it to be a federal issue when they can open the border and then as state issue only when the states want to open the border too Yeah they can't have their cake and eat it too And so it's appalling that if I get on a plane and I forget my driver's license they won't let me board that plane but illegal immigrants once they've been processed and they're allowed to get on a plane with a piece of document once they've been processed and it's not fair as an American citizen you know obviously we have a lot of work to be done And that's why the incumbent Henry Clay has lost the doors of the national border patrol conference That's why that's the reason why he is going to lose his race come this November because people are sick and tired of Democrats doing absolutely nothing to secure our southern border And they have hypocrisy coming from what's a right issue or not at the end of the day this is an American issue It's not a red issue that's on a blue issue It's a red white and blue issue
Ken Burns: DeSantis’ Actions Are 'Out of the Authoritarian Playbook'
"Cut ten go We woke up to the news this morning that governor Ron DeSantis of Florida sent two plain loads of migrants to Martha's Vineyard off the coast of Massachusetts including kids and whatnot And I'm not saying this is not a one for one This is not a parallel here in any way But it does address some of the same themes that are part of this documentary The abstraction of human life It's basically saying that you can use a human life that is as valuable as yours or mine or limbs and to put it in a position of becoming a political pawn in somebody's authoritarian game This is the coming straight out of the authoritarian playbook This is what's so disturbing about desantis is to use human beings to weaponize human beings for a political Let me tell you something you moron Desantis has done more in support of Israel and the Jews in his state And others in his state than anybody I can think of This is grotesque and to have this clown John Berman with the IQ of a parakeet Goading this kind of conclusion is really appalling And I'm waiting for the anti defamation league to speak up but it won't It embraces this
Debra Burlingame: I've Lost Faith in the Political Class
"Something about the Democrat party today in this president today Where they are unmoored They're absolutely unmoored And you watch Kamala Harris she is a blank slate I mean they have no compassion for people like you or the people who've died They really have no connection that I can see and watch some of this on Sunday It was appalling Well I have to say I saw vice president Harris I saw leaders of the party in New York I saw a President Biden standing just a few yards away from where my brother's jet was plowed into The Pentagon a place that he worked as a reservist where my father worked as a career military man I saw him stand there And yet and these are the same people who dismissed 9 11 as an inconvenience and they I think what they do which is the most poisonous of all They actually advocate for our enemies when it comes to when it comes to the people who are trying to destroy this country foreign adversaries They advocate for them And it's not just a possible plea deal It's Iran It's China It's Russia I really have lost complete faith in the political class And I would add I've lost faith in the Republican Party because I feel that they are not vigorously going after the interests of our nation It's too election year to election year

"This is a speech Joe Biden's wanted to give for a very long time. So I really thought this was a fascinating bit of presidential stagecraft and rhetoric. It was a very, very patriotic speech. I appreciate his hope and his sense of patriotism. And I couldn't agree more with what he said. He talked about a kind of coalition of those of goodwill coming together to unite to defend democracy. He almost seemed to be reclaiming patriotism. He literally framed this as a battle. Reclaiming patriotism and hope. Between light and darkness. And he called on Americans to come together, despite their political differences. He says to the heckler, that dude, that man, that person on the other side is entitled to be outraged. Totally. Republicans right now would have that heckler be beaten. I think people would like to have seen a bit more references to accountability. There really wasn't much talk about what we're doing about those insurrectionists. I don't know who it's not all wrong. Oh my gosh. So that's the thing is these people want to go even further. Say, okay, so if their threats to democracy, what are we going to do now? What's their consequence going to be? So you guys to close off, first of all, I want you to go finish the rest of the speech. I want you to really reflect on what the mainstream media said about the speech, but then I also want you to see this. Oh my gosh, Peter doocy from Fox asked Biden literally the next day. If he stands by what he said, the night before, and this was his reaction. He already walked it back. But I personally think it's just because he's handled, right? This is what he just comes up with on the spot. Mister president, you consider all Trump supporters to be a threat to the country. Yo, everyone, come on. Japanese president. I do think anyone calls for yourself why this is a chance to watch the rest of your students to acknowledge the election one. System on changing the way it was the rules. That is a threat to democracy. Democracy. Everything we stand for, everything we stand for rest on the platform of democracy. Okay, so if you guys heard that, he just walked back his statement that all maga Republicans or threats to democracy said, I don't think a single Trump supporter is a threat. I just think you're a threat. This is the funny thing. I just think you're a threat if you deny your election results because then you're a threat to democracy. So this is a good example of what happens when handlers and people with faceless bureaucrats, faceless employees, people behind the scenes and what they call the deep state. When they all get together and tell Joe Biden what he's going to say and they put it on the teleprompter, that's coming from them. So that speech last night wasn't from Joe Biden. He read it. The speech came from the people that are behind him that put him in power that operate our government. And then when you put Joe Biden out there on his on his lonesome, that's what comes out because our president has some issues, right? Now, I hope you guys learned a lot with that. I hope you go and finish the rest of the speech. Thanks for tuning in. I appreciate it. I'll see you on Wednesday. Have a good week.

"Within our power, it's in our hands, yours and mine. To stop the assault on American democracy. I believe America is at an inflection point. One of those moments that determine the shape of everything that's to come after. And now, America must choose. To move forward, or to move backwards, to build the future of obsess about the past. To be a nation of hope and unity and optimism wait, did he just say move forward or obsess about the past these people are obsessed with the past? That's a little concerning. I mean, they're trying to rewrite history to fit their race narrative and further divide us. They are obsessed with rewriting the past, and it makes me a little concerned in terms of cultural revolution style with communist China they wanted to get rid of the four olds in society old ideas, culture, customs, habits. Is that what he's meaning? It's like it's time to get rid of your obsession with the past with our founders or the constitution with American values and move forward into this progressive society that we have envisioned for you because no thanks. Fear. Division and of darkness. Maggie Republicans have made their choice. They embrace anger. They thrive on chaos. They live not in the light of truth, but in the shadow of lies. But together, together we can choose a different path and I think I'm just a little confused in the sense of like, what else can they use to accuse us of living in the dark shadows of lies and stuff like that? Other than the January 6th situation. It have have we just lived in a completely different country than them, and this is what they actually think about us. That's where I'm confused. I'm like, do you really see us as like these evil creatures? Or are you trying to now frame us as that? Are you just trying to freak people out and voting before the midterms? Because that is weird. I mean, like the dark shadows of. We can choose a better path forward to the future. A future of possibility of future to build and dream and hope, and we're on that path moving ahead. I know this nation. I know you, the American people, I know your courage, I know your heart, and I know our history. This is a nation that honors our constitution. We do not reject it. This is a nation that believes in the rule of law. We do not repudiate it. This is a nation I respects free and fair elections. We honor the will of the people. We do not deny it. And this is. Oh man. Well, that was a lot. They are trying to change the constitution every step of the way, whether it's removing the Electoral College or packing the court. They talk about ending the filibuster so they get fast tracked things. They love executive orders, which is just top down force. They like federalizing things like our elections, removing the power from the states and handling it all over to the federal government. And when it comes to, what did he say? A Law & Order rule in order or whatever. Yeah, do you guys remember the summer of love? When Kamala Harris and a bunch of the high up politicians paid for the bail and encouraged people to donate to the organization that paid the bail of the people that were rioting and looting in the communities highly black communities as well during the George Floyd Black Lives Matter riots. I remember that. Yeah, I remember that. It was a nation I respects free and fair elections. We honor the will of the people. We do not deny it. Oh my gosh, okay, in New York City you guys, it was so funny. The radical left was trying to allow illegal immigrants to vote in their local elections. It got struck down by the New York Supreme Court. But these are the people that don't want you to have to even show an ID. When you show up to vote, but they want free and fair elections. And this is a nation. That rejects violence as a political tool. We do not encourage violence. We are still an American that believes in honesty and decency. And respect for others. Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, this is like gaslighting, like a relationship gaslighting, where it's like, we believe in honesty and decency and respect for others, but yes, we just told you that you and your entire political side are a threat to our country, and we now consider you extremists that live in the dark shadows of evil. But we are decent humans. Pictures of liberty, justice for all hope, possibilities. We are still at our core, a democracy. No we're not. History tells us the blind loyalty to a single leader and a willingness to engage in political violence is fatal to democracy. For a long time, we've told ourselves that American democracy is guaranteed, but it's not. We have to defend it, protect it, stand up for it. Each and every one of us, that's why tonight, I'm asking our nation to come together. Unite behind the single purpose of defending our democracy regardless of your ideology. Okay, I'm going to end it here. There is still much more of the speech, but I hope that that was enough for you guys to see what we're up against here. That call to action. Do you think he's trying to get people prepared to stand up for their democracy against magar Republicans? Do you think that that's what that was? Something eerie about that of like, what is the call to action if you want us to unite and save our democracy and then you just tell us what you consider the threat to democracy to be, what's the next step, Joe? What is the action that you're asking when you give a very vague stand up for our democracy? You really got to wonder, right? So it's no surprise that this insane speech, one of the most disgusting speeches. I would say the most, one of the most disgusting speeches from a president in American history. This was a dark day. In front of independence hall. This is unprecedented, and I want you guys again to understand, I am not dramatizing this, just because like, oh, it's a political show and Morgan's gotta get feisty. No, I'm telling you like this is a really big deal. This, this just crossed a line that we still don't even fully understand, even possibly could have been crossed, I think, you know, a lot of people are still waking up, right? So I'm really, really concerned as to what this means. And that being said, it went viral because it was insane. It went viral because it looked like as a port and I said, a baby of Stalin and Hitler on stage. It was scary, creepy, harmful, in terms of actually unifying the country. And we all walked away with that perspective, but what did the left do? Here is a little clip of all the different moments right after the speech. This is the night of the speech, all the things that the left was saying on the mainstream media, starting with CNN. If you do believe that democracy, small D, not political, but democracy is at stake, is this the type of defense that they've been wanting to hear? Absolutely, without a doubt.

"I believe every human, no matter what skin color, is quite competent and capable of getting an ID. If you're not capable of getting yourself an ID and showing it to vote, then why the heck are you participating in the most important process in the keeping of this republic, an election? Why are you voting in the first place? Maybe you should sit this one out. If you are incapable of finding an identification card, as a citizen in the United States of America. Is that so bad to say? Maybe you should set this one out. We need competent people, okay? So, don't let them twist what's happening in the states, we are going in the constitutional route to make sure that our elections are safe and secure and not only that, but trustworthy, okay? And we live in a constitutional republic. So they always say they're going through the states, those evil Republicans is like, yeah, we aren't trying to go around anybody. We're following the process because that's where things happen regarding elections in the states. Empowering election deniers to undermine democracy itself. Maga forces are determined to take this country backwards. Backwards to an America where there is no right to choose. No right to privacy. No right to contraception. No right to marry who you love. See, I can not believe. This is a massive campaign speech. For him to go up and say, they're going to take away interracial marriage. They're a threat to democracy. Please don't take these people seriously. Please don't take these people seriously. I mean, really, the president of the United States standing in front of independence hall saying, they're going to take away your right to contraceptives. They're going to take away your right for interracial marriage in 2022. It's like, you guys, oh my gosh. Please don't be so, don't be so naive. Don't allow yourself to stoop to the level that is capable of falling for something like this. You are so much more capable, and so much more deserving of better than that. They promote authoritarian leaders and they fan the flames of political violence. That are a threat to our personal rights to the pursuit of justice to the rule of law to the very soul of this country. They look at the mob that stormed the United States Capitol on January 6th. Brutally attacking law enforcement, not as insurrectionists who placed a dagger at the throat of our democracy, but they're looking at a dagger at the throat. I'll say one thing about January 6th quick I just watched an interesting interview, the podium guy. Remember the podium guy? He just did an interview with Tim pool and explained how he ended up there. You guys I kid you not. You know how they make him into some evil guy that stole Nancy Pelosi's podium or whatever and he was like a leader in it or whatever because his picture went viral, he's literally just a guy who was there because he wanted to do the peaceful protest and then he saw people were going into the capitol so we just mosey dotted and literally just walked on in and then there was a podium under a stairwell and he just picked it up, walked it 20 feet, put it in the middle of I believe, I can't remember where it was. I think he said he put it right in the middle of the rotunda or something. And he did a little like fake speech for three sentences like a fake politician style speech, you guys know what I'm talking about. And then he just walked away. And in that time, somebody had snapped that picture and he went viral and look at him now. He's I think he said he spent over a $100,000 in legal fees defending himself and it's a fascinating story if you guys want to look it up. It's like podium guy Tim pool interview. But yeah, dagger to the throne of democracy. As patriots and they see their maga failure to stop a peaceful transfer of power after the 2020 election. As preparation for the 2022 and 2024 elections. They're tried. Everything last time. To nullify the votes of 81 million. Did you guys hear that in the background? People are chanting F Joe Biden. People, this time, they're determined to succeed in thwarting the will of the people. That's why. Respect and conservatives, like federal circuit court judge, Michael Ludden. Has called Trump an extreme magic Republicans quote a clear and present danger to our democracy. While the threat to American democracy is real, I want to say it's clearly as we can. We are not powerless in the face of these threats. We are not bystanders in this ongoing attack on democracy. There are far more Americans, far more Americans, from every background of belief, who reject the extreme mag ideology than those that accept it. And folks. I find it interesting. There's now a viral clip going around showing the difference between the crowd for Joe Biden, which looks like a little campfire get together in front of the independence hall. And president Trump, who just, I believe, last night, spoke in Pennsylvania as well and it was a massive stadium packed crowd. "That sacred flame still burns now in our time. As we build an America that is more prosperous, free and just that is the work of my presidency. A mission, I believe in with my whole soul, but first, we must be honest with each other. And with ourselves, too much of what's happening in our country today is not normal. Donald Trump and the Maggie Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic. Now, I want to be very clear, very clear up front. Not every Republican, not even the majority Republicans are mag Republicans. Not every Republican embraces their extreme ideology. I know. 'cause I've been able to work with these mainstream Republicans. All right, okay. One question, who the heck is he talking about other than Liz Cheney? And a couple others. Like that doesn't count. And if you look at it, if he's saying that those are the only good Republicans, the non extreme Republicans, look at Liz Cheney's results in the primary with the Republican Party. She got voted out in a landslide. So the fact that all of those Republicans he's saying are good, the few. They all are despised by the Republican Party, what lesson are we supposed to take out of that? Also, I saw a good analysis. I can't remember who it was, but they said a good thing of like, okay, so it's at a level where it's a threat to the democracy that we have, but it's also just a few bad ones, which is it. Is it Donald Trump and his supporters? Or is it just a few of them? But there's no question that the Republican Party today is dominated driven intimidated. By Donald Trump on the maga Republicans. Wait, yeah, so he just said, it was just a couple of them just a few. Earlier, and now he's saying, but don't get it wrong. Donald Trump is in control, and they have a large majority. So what is it? And that is a threat to this country. These are hard things. But I'm an American president. Not a president of red America, blue America, but of all America. Oh my gosh, pick a side. Guys, he just went from saying Donald Trump and his supporters are extreme, but don't worry, it's just a small amount of them. Then he says, they are actually in control of the Republican Party and it's a threat to democracy. And now he's saying, after accusing the entire half of the country that will be voting against him, in the upcoming election because guess what? Last week Joe Biden declared that he's officially running for president again. He filed for candidacy. So what you guys what that means is, for example, if you're a nonprofit, like if I have my young Americans against socialism is a 5 O one. So when a politician goes from being just a politician, like a public servant, and then transitions into filing for candidacy because they're going to run for reelection, for example, AOC. If AOC says something dumb about socialism, when she's just a politician a public servant, I can just easily be like, oh, congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, we say her official title just said this dumb thing about socialism. Check it out. But the moment she files paperwork to run for office again, we have to be a little bit more careful because then she's a candidate and as a C three, we aren't allowed to be involved in politics. We are an educational nonprofit. And so we can't be getting involved in candidates or campaigns or anything having to do with elections, but because she's filed their paperwork, she's officially considered that candidacy realm. And so as a nonprofit we just have to be better about our wording and make it clear that we're criticizing her statements as a congresswoman because she still serving as a congresswoman. Joe Biden just filed his paperwork, so he's officially a candidate, right? In 2022 in the 2020 or the 2024 elections. And he is speaking in this event as the official capacity president of the United States. So this is a taxpayer funded speech to talk about how his opponents, the maga Republicans, are a threat to democracy and he's got military people behind him he's standing in front of independence hall. That's one of the big things here is he's doing a campaign style speech and calling his opponent who's going to run against him in two years. Probably. A threat to democracy as president of the United States, but this should really just be a campaign stump. So the fact that it's an official government capacity is very, very scary and concerning because it's like, okay, is this a stance of the federal government now? And I believe it's my duty, my duty to love with you to tell the truth, no matter how difficult, no matter how painful, and here, in my view, is what is true. My good Republicans do not respect the constitution. They do not believe in the rule of law. They do not recognize the will of the people. They refuse to accept the results of a free election. And they're working right now as I speak and state after state to give power to decide elections in America to partisans and cronies oh my gosh. Okay, so now he's saying you're a threat to democracy if you do not accept the results of the election. When for how many, how many years have we heard people like Stacey Abrams and Hillary Clinton and Kamala and so on? Either Stacey Abrams saying that she lost or she won the election that her opponent actually didn't win, but then Hillary Clinton Kamala Harris Joe Biden everybody calling president Trump an illegitimate president, saying that he didn't actually win. Hillary Clinton saying, you can have the best campaign staff that best voters, the best team, the best, blah blah blah. And at the end of the day, you can still have the campaign the wind stolen from you. It's like, what? So she just said that the election was stolen from her, but now if we say it on our behalf, we are a threat to democracy. When you guys have been doing it for quite some time. And when he talks about the state changes, you guys. What he's talking about, this is a little politics for you. What the conservatives are trying to do is make sure that they states that are given in the constitution the power to manage the elections because, again, we are a constitutional republic made up of sovereign states, not a top down central government that has some states in it. No, this states put on elections, and they run them, and then they report the numbers. So what happened before the 2020 elections, I'm not going to get too much into this. But there were a lot of sketchy things that happened where the constitutional process was not followed in terms of the election processes in multiple states. Things were fast tracked, things were approved when normally they should not have been or would not have been approved, and it caused a lot of chaos and what conservatives are trying to do now is get back to basic elections. Show up in person, show your ID and vote like a normal person. If you can not show your ID, you have incompetency problems, okay? When the left brings up, oh, well, it's racist to expect someone to be able to show an ID because black and brown people have a hard time getting IDs. I want them to say that to the face of a black or brown person. Every time you hear a liberal, every time you hear a liberal, white one say it, just ask them, would you say that to the face of someone who is black? Walk up to them and say, I think that you are incapable, mentally, of acquiring an ID, even though you need it to do most of the basic functions in society. Yeah, see how that goes.

"Okay, before we play the Biden speech, I want to remind you guys if you haven't yet, go check out my Instagram because one of the recent posts of mine is a full video tutorial on how I use my vara safety reach to S you guys are always asking what kind of holsters I'm using, what kind of outfits I wear for concealed carry. And the kind of save that I use in the home, I get a lot of moms that ask how they can keep firearms in the home if they want to also make sure kids are absolutely safe. I mean, the numbers on this kind of stuff are pretty freaky, you guys. We always say it can never happen to us. And, oh, our kids know about this kind of stuff. Our kids are very aware. They're educated. They would never do something like that. But there's always accidents and unfortunately it's something that we have to deal with. And so var safety is great for multiple reasons, but it's especially good for families that have kids in the home that want to have the gun easily accessible, but also completely locked and safe, okay? So I like vara safeties I live alone. I'm 5 feet tall. I'm a hundred something pounds. I want to have immediate access and proper grip, but I also want to just be responsible with how I store the firearm when I'm not using it. And that is why I like this. It's a combination between a safe and a holster. It's screwed into my bedside table, and when I pull from it like I'm pulling from a regular holster, my thumbprint aligns on a biometric sensor and immediately it unlocks the gun and I have proper grip. So then you're ready to rock and roll. If you guys want one of these, go to VA RA safety dot com via safety dot com. They make these in America. They're actually based in upstate New York near my hometown. That's where I'm from. And I couldn't be more proud to be supporting them or just have one in my home. It's an awesome product. All right, now with that being said, let's start out with Joe Biden's speech. Now, he's going to say it, but I just want you guys to get the vibe if you haven't seen the picture. It actually, you know what you guys are active people. If you haven't seen the picture of the speech yet, so the visual. I want you to watch, I want you to go on to the Internet right now as you're listening. And just type in President Biden full speech on democracy. It'll come up on C-SPAN, and you can see the fact that the president is standing in front of independence hall. Where our founders wrote and debated the Declaration of Independence and the constitution. It's an important place. It's not a place that gets politicized, you know? It's just like, why did you have to touch it? Why'd you have to do that, Joe? You guys know, you guys know why you did it. It's because it sends quite a strong message. We are the side of the constitution. We are the people in favor of a constitutional republic compared to these the other side on the left. We care about our founders. They tear our founders statues down and remove our founders names from schools. They call them slave owners. They call them racists. They call them hateful, bigoted people. And they say America was a mistake, or America was put on stolen land from the Native Americans. It was conquered, they have all these horrible things to say about our founders, but when it's time to oppress us and force us through their further steps into tyranny, they say, you know what we should do, we should go to a precious place to these people. These conservatives. Let's go stand right in front of independence hall. Where the Declaration of Independence and constitution were formed and agreed upon. By some of the greatest men, one of the greatest generations in our country. And let's tell them that they're now a threat to democracy. And that if they disagree with our rule, they are a threat to the rights of others in America. The immensity of this moment at baffled me. It made me really, really sad. Because I do this, you know, I do this for a living, right? I know I actually do it for a living. Like I have my business and stuff. And to be political commentary has been like a really fun addition that I didn't think I would ever really get into, but I see education as the future and education about civics and history and economics and finance because when we don't understand these things, the people in power can oppress us. And for someone like me, in a little Morgan, I'm looking at my wall right now. It's across and then under it is the Declaration of Independence framed, and then under that is the Betsy Ross flag, and then to the left of those are just two pictures of the west because I really like the west in America. Some pretty scenery. But that's like the centerpiece of my home. And I remember just hearing the real-time speech of Joe Biden tell us that the federal government now considers us to be extremists, it's so wild. And so I just hope you guys know that this is not me dramatizing a situation because I have a political show, this is like a really bad situation. And I'm sorry, I'm not using fancier words right now. I truly am at a loss for words for the most part. But with that being said, he's in front of independence hall. They lit it up to be this ominous from the ground up glowing red lights. Like what the heck? So of course everybody's like, oh, nice V for vendetta remake, or what is this the USSR or what is this Nazi Germany? It literally looks like that. And then they hung the flag behind it, but then there's two military members on his side. So at an event where he's declaring half the country's extremist and a threat to the country. He brings members of the military to stand behind him and he stands at one of the most important locations in our country. Would that be accept? Let's play the video. My fellow Americans, please, if you have a seat, tell you. I speak to you tonight. From sacred ground in America. Independence hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This is where America made a Declaration of Independence to the world. More than two centuries ago. With an idea, you. Okay. I should warn you guys. He can't even say sentences because he keeps coughing. If you're going to be a scary evil dictator, you've got to be able to pronounce your scary sentences. Among nations that in America,
"appalls" Discussed on The Morgan Zegers Show
"Hey guys, it's Morgan. Welcome back to the show. We're going to go over Biden's speech that everybody is talking about. Right now we're going to do a deep dive, okay? And I'm going to explain why. I get a lot of people on social media that will kind of laugh at me or make fun of me if they find out that I'm watching the original version of something. I guess in this era, we don't have the time to watch full speeches or full addresses and all that stuff. And people hate politics and so they think the smart thing and the funny thing to do is just be like, eh, F that. So I just remember one of the most prominent situations of this was when I posted that I was baking muffins earlier this year during the State of the Union, and people were like, I can't believe you can even stand to watch that stuff. How could you waste your time watching him like that I could never, I just watched the highlights later on or I just watched people's commentary later on. And I think it's very damaging. I personally find it very important to watch the original thing happen. To listen to the original speech to watch the original video, whatever goes viral and whatever becomes the next controversy. And I really like to watch things like the State of the Union like presidential addresses and like the addresses from the press secretary who speaks on behalf of the president to the United States and to the people to the press in America. Because I want to hear how they actually talk to us what they're saying, the kind of messages that they're sending the kind of tone they're using and that's important in itself, but the next step of that is the fact that when you listen to it from a commentator, when you listen to it on the news, it's going to have a twist. They're going to simplify and focus on the things they thought were important and both sides find completely opposite things important, right? So that's going to be one. You're going to have that political bias no matter what. I mean, in today's world, do we have anybody that provides non biased news coverage? You got to wonder. Actually, there's a couple that I can think of right now. But in general, if you're watching TV, you're not getting the full story. And I find it for the third reason, very important to watch the original version because these people are lying to us. They are putting us down a very, very dangerous path, and unless we wake the heck up and start to see these dangerous trends and start to watch the lies for ourselves and really watch a politician do what they are doing to us in real time. I don't think it's going to really hit us and it's not going to spark people and it's not going to make people as clearly concerned and alert as they probably should be. That's a really important thing to me is I think people are so desensitized to a lot of this and the fact that most people don't even know that this address happened, right? The people that know about it are obviously concerned after what we just saw. I mean, people are calling it Hitler's speech, right? A Biden Hitler's speech because it looks just insane. I mean, Dave portnoy said that this looks like Hitler and Stalin had a baby. And it was this stage or something crazy like that. When we just allow these kind of things to happen and we allow the politicians to do their dirty work and go about their corrupt business and their oppressive tyrannical ways. And we just go about our daily lives like, well, we're a little busy, so we couldn't tune into that. It's like, you guys, he just declared that half of the country is a threat to democracy in front of independence hall. So maybe we should all just put the phone down for a second. Tune in for the 24 minute address that it was and see what the president of the United States is saying about his own people and doing at a very important location. Independent all of all places. Oh my gosh, I'm so mad about it. Okay. With that being said,
Guy Reschenthaler Is Still Appalled Biden Surrended Bagram
"I can tell you as a veteran of the Iraq War, I'm absolutely appalled even a year after that Joe Biden would surrender in Afghanistan. I really believed in our mission both in Iraq and Afghanistan and the fact that he just surrendered this country, surrendered the Bagram air base. It's completely unacceptable. And as far as Lloyd Austin saying that our work is not done, this guy has been wrong just as many times as Joe Biden has been wrong. It was this guy that was telling us that Ukraine would fall within hours in Afghanistan would remain for months and months. In the opposite happened, Ukraine is still fighting in Afghanistan crumbled within hours. And these are our so called military experts. But look, the defeat in the surrender is owned by one person and one person only and that's Joe Biden. No, you're absolutely right. I mean, it was his decision to make. He went against the advice of the generals. You went against the advice of many people in Congress, and as a result, people lost their lives. And this is something that needs to be remembered, especially as we're heading into election season.
Article on 'fat' Arab women sparks uproar over body-shaming
"An article that discussed female obesity in the Middle East has been slammed by critics on social media as misogynistic and an attempt to that shame Arab women The article in London based magazine The Economist was entitled why women are fatter than men in the Arab world The article ran through possible explanations of the obesity gap of ten percentage points between men and women in the Middle East Fats a word now considered taboo in much of western media was repeated 6 times The author used the example of the curves of Iraqi actress in as Talib as the Middle East and ideal of beauty Thailand is now suing the magazine for defamation many critics on social media were appalled by what they described as the meaning stereotypes about Arab women I'm Karen Chammas
President Trump’s Lawyer Alina Habba Shares an Update
"Joining us now is president Trump's personal lawyer, Alina haba, is with us right now, Alina. Thank you for joining the show. So I have so many questions for you. Let me just ask first one more generally, what is the president's spirits right now? How is he looking at all of this? So I always say this, but I think spirits are the same as any other day. I will say he has been really impressed with the amount of support, the outpour of support that has happened after Monday, which is not a normal situation for him when he's in this under siege situation with the raid. But what that actually did, I believe, and if you look at his donations, just that night and Eric mentioned it, I think, on the news as well. But he got so much support because it was to such an extreme that what they've done, I think, has just empowered the base. Has reminded people, I mean, you've got Cuomo tweeting that he's completely appalled by what happened. So I think his spirits are generally great right now to be honest. We got through a tough deposition yesterday as I'm sure you know. And you know, he's a fighter.
Caller: FBI Agents Should Resign Following Unprecedented Trump Raid
"Know, this whole thing is just got me so furious. I can't believe this is happening in this country. You know, my Charles was bad. Years. Careers, civil servants. He conducted himself honorably. Above board went book a model agent. And as he could see what's happening right now, he would be absolutely appalled and disgusted and I don't know why more resigning. Well, you know what? Ari fleischer said this. And I want to bounce this off of you. He said, I have said this raid will end in either Trump's indictment because the DoJ found what it was looking for or in the resignation of disgraced FBI director Chris wray.
Lindsey Halligan: FBI Mar-a-Lago Raid Was an Appalling, Abuse of Power
"Here was Trump attorney, Lindsey halligan. Last night on Fox News channel with Sean Hannity. They had unfettered access to the property. They looked at God knows what in there and did God knows what in there. We have no idea. What the FBI did was an appalling display of abuse of power. All documents requested were previously handed over. President Trump and his team painstakingly reviewed every single document at Mar-a-Lago and gave the government what their requested. If they needed any other documents, they could have just asked. And the warrant was secured under seal. So they tried to get away with concealing this overreach by obtaining a warrant under seal, and nobody knew about it. They knew that president Trump was in bedminster and hasn't been at Mar-a-Lago for some time. They thought they could sneak in, snoop around without attorneys present. In case they walked out with nothing, so nobody would know that they overreached to this degree. And it's unprecedented in United States history. The government seems to be out of control. It's plagued with manipulation, corruption, greed, deceit, and fraud. It's appalling. Are you paying attention?
Naomi Wolf Has Her Own Opinions About the Raid of Trump's Home
"It's now my privilege and joy to have as my guest for the rest of the show. Naomi Wolfe, Naomi, welcome back. Thank you so much, Eric. Thanks for having me. Well, I want to talk to you about a hundred things. First of all, your book is out. We spoke about it, but there's a lot more to say. It's titled the bodies of others. The new authoritarians, COVID-19 and the war against the human, because today is today, I have to say that when I read the new authoritarians, the idea that the FBI, you don't have to like Trump, folks. This is not about that. This is about the rule of law. This is about are we free people, governing ourselves, or have we entered a new era. And I have to tell you, and Naomi, you probably know this, but Brandon strock had his door broken down by the FBI. They are terrorizing people. Simone gold. You must know Simone gold. She's in jail because she's a Doctor Who had the temerity to talk about the vaccines as a bad thing. And what we're seeing right now, it's nothing less than astonishing. It's frankly hard to believe that it's happening in our lifetimes that we're seeing this kind of thing. But you don't only acknowledge it. You've written a book about it. Yeah, thank you. I mean, this is horribly horribly predictable based on the trends that I analyzed in the bodies of others, but it's still such a shock. And I just want to kind of publicly and formally apologize. On behalf, I'm not aligned with the Democrats, but I voted for it that my voted for this administration. And I just truly am so sorry and just want to words can't express how appalled and horrified I am to witness that people I voted for are tasking our law enforcement with terrorizing private citizens in a way that is really reminiscent of the Stasi and the black shirts.
Unleashing the Beast: A New IRS
"Appalled here because somehow the answer to not having enough tax revenue is to just, oh, hire more IRS agents and then you'll be all set. Look, again, I'm not advocating that people not pay their taxes. Let me be very clear on that because it's actually critical that people pay what they owe, otherwise will turn into a country like Greece, which if you recall during the European debt crisis, it came to light that nobody was actually really paying what they owed. There was this huge underground economy and I think one example they showed us was swimming pools, right? Because you had to pay a certain tax, you had a swimming pool and so nobody had a swimming pool allegedly and then it turned out when you went and did these aerial photos from high above in a plane. It turned out they're all these swimming pools. What do you know, right? So people were trying to avert the taxes that they would otherwise face. And this is what happens if you live in an economy where the government is so onerous as to tax, in fact, too much, which we can save that debate for another time. I would just argue in this particular instance that it's going to have the opposite of the intended effect. In other words,
Is Sesame Place Full of Racists?
"Then I went and looked at some more videos of the crazy shit that these Muppets pull at sesame place. One Muppet, by the way, sesame place is owned and operated by the people at sea world, one Muppet kept bumping into a tiny two and three year old girl. She could not have been more than three years old. This costume character had a protruding belly and this person was just, you know, bumping the kid with the belly, and of course the kid falls over backwards and fell very awkwardly and began to cry. Naturally in this day and age, the little girl's parents got themselves a lawyer and filed a suit for millions of dollars class action suit 25 million bucks to be exact. And the suit was filed on behalf of Quentin burns and his child Kennedy burns. And they're going right for the pockets of SeaWorld parks, the owner of sesame place for pervasive and appalling race discrimination. And it doesn't just have to do with rosita. Oh no, no. Also, Elmo, Ernie, Kelly monster, and Abby cadabby. You know, the usual suspects, they're on the line too. They, the parents say they allegedly refused to interact with Kennedy and other black guests. Now, I can vouch for rosita. Telly monster or Abby cadabby, but I never thought I'd see today that Elmo and Ernie stoop that low. They don't appear to be those kind of people. But the class action suit basically says that quote SeaWorld's performance readily engaged with numerous similarly situated white customers and the employees involved were also listed as defendants in the lawsuit. Doesn't specify the race of the sesame place people in the costumes who, as I've said, allegedly have a history of questionable behavior. Now that I looked at other videos, quote SeaWorld had actual knowledge that John Doe's one through four held personal beliefs of racial bias towards black people and that John Doe's one through four had the propensity to discriminate against black people based on their race or color. I don't think you need to race their color pot. You're saying black people we get that it's race and color. Motivated, so to speak, why would SeaWorld have knowledge that these four people have personal beliefs of racial bias toward black people? That's a little bit crazy.
We Have Fallen Into a Have It Your Way Societybret Stevens Says He Was
"About Trump voters is the headline. The worst line I ever wrote as a pundit. Yes, I know it's a crowded field. Was the first line I ever wrote about the man who would become the 45th president colon. If by now you didn't find Donald Trump appalling, you are appalling. This opening salvo from August 2015 was the first in what would become dozens of columns denouncing Trump as a unique threat to American life, democratic ideals, and the world itself. I regret almost nothing of what I said about the man in his close minions. But the broad swipe at his voters, caricatured them in blinkered me. It also probably did more to help than hinder Trump's candidacy. Telling voters
Walgreens Clerk Refuses to Sell Condoms to Couple, Due to His Faith
"So a couple went to Walgreens and they're doing their shopping and they wanted to go buy some birth control products. They wanted to purchase condoms. And so they bring all their stuff up to the front counter and the cashier is ringing up all their purchases and when it came time to ring up the condoms, the cashier said, oh, I can't, I can't sell these to you because it would violate my faith, would you like me to call a manager? And so the couple was horrified. They said they were appalled. And they said, yes, we want to speak to your manager. So the manager is called and the manager finishes out the transaction, and then the couple, they get on social media and they raise holy you know what. And everybody on social media wants the cashier fired. So some sort of a young kid. And I don't know what the kids religion is. But he said it was a violation of his religious beliefs to sell birth control products. Now, the question is, should this guy be fired? Walgreens has a policy, and the policy is very straightforward. As an employee of Walgreens, you do not have to do something that you would morally object to. So this young man did the right thing by calling the manager because that's the company policy. If you can't sell them the condoms, call somebody on the intercom system. I don't want please Larry. It's Larry today. I don't know what Larry's done, but Larry the white guy from the suburbs of Philly. I guess he lives in Philadelphia too. Larry, we've got a couple here on the island. They want to buy some condoms.
The Loudest Voices Only Echo Confusion
"It sounds good, and this is something that I've learned over time is that when you hear everybody come out and say one particular thing, meaning the loudest voices, when you hear the loudest voices saying one thing, that's not necessary necessarily a reflection of what the sentiment really is. People jump on the bandwagon and they begin to say certain things. People jump on the bandwagon talking about LatinX. And using terms like transphobia, and a man can give birth. And the louder voices are echoing the sentiment of complete confusion. But the average person. Is appalled at the foolery of women testifying before Congress that can not explain what a woman is. People testifying before Congress become an activist on a world stage or at least the national stage, and they are telling you that men can give birth. And they are expressing or explaining these terms in which the average person have no idea what they're talking about.
Kari Lake Calls Out Bret Baier on Fox News
"I warned you about Brett bear and we have seen how to deal with this fake report of fake conservative. I'm just going to show you a little bit of, well, his destruction of the hands of a good friend of mine play cut. Gubernatorial candidate carried Lake, who has attacked drag queens as dangerous to children, attended the shows of drag queen Richard Stevens from more than 20 years, and once hired him to perform at her home. Do you care to address that? I do care. I actually do care to address that, and I'm really shocked. I'm actually appalled. That Fox News would take defamatory story like that, and we are pursuing legal action against this drag queen. I'm appalled that you would bring that up when you have not talked about our stolen election. You've failed. You spent three questions, mister leg talking about this. You asked you a number of questions about it. I played the Arizona. This is the first. Let's address this story that's in The Washington Post. Every candidate takes tough stories. I'm asking you to respond to it. If you'd like to. I'm happy to address it. But I'm really disappointed in Fox. I thought you were a little better than CNN. This is a person who I covered for decades. That's enough. That's enough. We're going to post the whole thing. You've got to take down taking Brett to the wood shed should be a hashtag out
Kari Lake Holds Her Ground Over Drag Queen's Allegations
"Want to say, how Carrie Lake conducted herself in this hostile interview with Fox News channel. It is a master's class on how politicians have to smack down the media, but do it a very nice and polite way. Let's take a listen. The Washington Post has a story today. It says Arizona GOP candidate who criticized drag queens was once a fan, according to a drag queen. This is the quote, Arizona GOP gubernatorial candidate carried Lake, who has attacked drag queens as dangerous to children, attended the shows of drag queen Richard Stevens from more than 20 years, and once hired him to perform at her home. Do you care to address that? I do care. I actually do care to address that and I'm really shocked. I'm actually appalled that Fox News would take defamatory story like that and we are pursuing legal action against this drag queen. I'm appalled that you would bring that up when you have not talked about our stolen election. You've failed. That's three questions. Mister leg talking about this. You asked you a number of questions about it. I played the Arizona. Let's address this story that's in The Washington Post. Every candidate takes tough stories. I'm asking you to respond to it, if you'd like to. I'm happy to address it, but I'm really disappointed in Fox. I thought you were a little better than CNN. This is a person who I covered for decades for decades, 20 years, and he's never been in my home. He says he's been in my home for a drag show that's ludicrous. He's never been in my home. He's lied, we tried to serve him defamation papers. Okay. And he so shady that we can't even track him down because he's not even welcome at the place of what it works. I'm sorry, but this is the last question but to ask, what about these pictures of you with him, Richard Stevens? What about the post I've performed for Kerry's birthday of performed in her home? That's not true. It's some of the serious bars in Phoenix. I don't want to ask these questions. I asked you to address them.

"Could be a half an hour away from a local deputy, where a local police department officer, many places in Pennsylvania. You're on your own. It's going to be a while before the police get out there. This was a big victory for the Second Amendment that's probably an issue that play well for you in this election. Yeah, it's a bit appalling to me that Democrats they don't bat an eye when it's tragedy and they exploit the tragedy before people even leave the rest for political gain. And it's so predictable. I know every time it happens, we all kind of just like, oh, here it comes. And instead of getting to the bottom of the truth or finding out what happened or a lot of the problems in Texas, where the police is set for an hour by it as the murder was able to continue his rampage. And so the question is on this legislation that was supported by many Republicans in the Senate as well. Would it have prevented the tragedies in Texas and elsewhere around the nation or buffalo? And no, they would not have. And so why are they going after the people who committed no crime? And they seem more interested in stripping our constitutional rights. The question is, is that a constitutional right or not? And if they want to change the constitution, well, there's a way to do that. They have to get a constitutional convention together. And they know they can't do it that way. So they're going to slowly slowly strip away our freedoms and we're on a precipice here. Yeah, no, I agree. And the chipping away story is correct. I've been talking about that for the last few days. They know they will never get the public support to amend the constitution. They know that. America is a country that respects its God given rights. So what they do is they want to make it so incredibly painful to exercise your right to self protection that you just don't do it. Let me move on to another topic you're running for governor and Pennsylvania. I just kind of hinted at it before. Oil and gas is an enormously important business in Pennsylvania, a huge employer. You have some great companies over there. You have great natural gas plays over there. It has the potential to really transform the state long term into an economic powerhouse, the equivalent of maybe Texas and California. It does. But you have Democrats in the state who are hell bent on making sure that that gas and oil sits in the ground and people suffer. You know, as governor, I assume you'd be committed towards lowering gas prices and using those resources to better the prosperity, the chances of prosperity in the state. Yeah, we're walking on a gold mine underneath our feet. People don't realize this, but we're a number three in the nation and energy production. Number three. And it was in that one number two in natural gas in the United States and number three in coal. And we also produce oil here as well, kind of a thick waxy kind of oil. And we had the potential to be like the Beacon of light. We could be the Florida of the northeast except with energy behind us. We can make Florida look like amateur hour as much as I love her, I'm just saying this here. But we had Democrats are killing us. And one thing that governor wolf did is he unilaterally put us into this Paris climate accord initiative at the state level and within America it's called the regional greenhouse gas initiative Reggie. And without a vote from the senator house, I'm a senator and we did not vote on this. He put us in his compact. On the 1st of June, an increase in energy costs by 40%. So although energy mass producer, we get no benefit because he's failed Democrat policy. So on day one, January 17th, and I invite you to my inauguration brother. I'm going to put that in. But we will have any prices to go down by 50% on day one to come and take us out as a regional greenhouse gas initiative. I'll be stripping away 8 years of regulations. I'll be speeding up the permitting process here. And we're going to be so appealing to the energy sector here, but they're going to leave West Virginia and Texas to come to Pennsylvania, where we're going to be knocking out energy left and right. You know it's bad. My friend in 2018, you remember when Boston, Massachusetts was running out of energy and that cold winter. And instead of getting off of a Pennsylvania, instead of buying it off of us, they brought in ships from Vladimir Putin from Russia. Are you kidding me? These Democrats. If you're funding it. Much better idea. Yeah, much better idea. Dirty or oil from a global tyrant. That's a great idea. That's a liberal. I do wake up every morning with these crazy ideas. We're talking to Doug mastriano, patriotically serve their country in the military, a state senator. Now the gubernatorial nominee for the governor's race obviously in Pennsylvania, critically important state now. Why are people like Doug on is because these races are critical. You just mentioned Ron DeSantis. He has been an amazing governor down here in my great state of Florida. And the issues he's spoken about have become national issues. Senator, you have the potential to do that as well. You mentioned something critical there. Pennsylvania is a massive producer of petrochemical resources here. If you were to go in there, you could change the national energy conversation with this one election. This is important stuff. I don't have candidates on with my kids speak to a national audience. The Pennsylvania governor's race is a critically important race. It's not just a local issue. You're right. And if you can imagine, Pennsylvania with Doug master on his governor, just pulling off the restraints and opening up our energy sector driving down costs domestically in a state but also helping us regain our independence on energy within the United States proper. And becoming a net exporter of energy to our allies to get them off of Russian oil and gas as well. I watch a German the past couple of decades. We lived ten years in Jeremy altogether with the army. And they went off with their nuclear power plants. And then they shut down all their coal plants, and guess what? Now Germany is trying to figure out a way how they keep their economy going without Russian oil and gas. And so now they're turning back on their coal plants

"When you think of harmful chemicals and products often hear about it in terms of whether you should buy them or not. Is this hairspray toxic or these plastic water bottles bad for me in those scenarios. There's a pretty simple solution either by the thing or you don't but what if the chemicals from products aren't just contaminating the square footage around them but the water going into millions of homes. Abc senior washington reporter. Devonte wire has been reporting on potentially dangerous chemical. That's now been traced in forty nine out of fifty states devin. This is p. fos right one of those chemicals that we've heard about it before but it always just kind of jumbles into a bunch of letters. Brad they've been around for decades there per and polly floral alkyl substances. It's a mouthful but p fast for short and these are chemicals. That are tasteless. They're colorless. they're actually a class of more than four thousand different variations amongst them and they're incredibly common in our daily lives. they code are nonstick pans. They code are waterproof. Jackets there in fighting foams mascara. Long wear lipstick because they resist moisture. They resist water so they add to what we call the staying power of a cosmetic and growing numbers of communities are starting to find these chemicals turning up in their drinking and groundwater systems. Ohio is now testing water supplies across the stay safe. Drinking water continues to be a major health. Concern in new hampshire nearly twenty eight hundred to be exact according to the environmental working group which abc news has been partnering with and as you said That's in forty nine states. What what scientists say. What makes pe- foss. This class of chemicals unique brad. Is that there forever there forever chemicals. Decades ago Sometimes are just now beginning to show up in the groundwater and groundwater wells in a treatment plants because it has moved so slowly. And that's what's really concerning communities like tucson it's water contamination on top of water contamination. A new chemical threat is forcing the city of tucson to shut down a plant. That's already taking toxins out of our water. So all the dirty water so to speak is coming into these. Big pipes reclined. And then we're out in tucson arizona. At this base it went into the soil. we think scientists think they don't know for sure and it's migrating underneath us to the north and west in small rivers of material the groundwater the dirty groundwater was showing a huge surge in the amount of p foss in it and officials will worried that the filters at the plant simply couldn't keep up therefore they decided to shut it down. You lost confidence that these filters could take it out and guarantee the water safe. We don't have enough confidence to go to drink. Water supply at this time using just greater activated carbon. They can also have effects on developing babies and on women while they're pregnant and now as people are starting to discover them and learn more about the health effects of saints. Something needs to be done right now. Yeah it was going to say. What are you actually do about it. And who's in charge of doing something. Well the first step that advocates say needs to be taken is for the environmental protection agency to declare these substances hazardous to to actually track them regulate them in drinking. Water require testing for them. Set a limit. Nationwide of how much can be in the water. That's safe to drink and believe it or not. They don't do that. Oh so there's no tracking for this. The way that like lead is just like you sample some water. You tested for lead all across the country. That's not the case here. That's right under the safe drinking water. Act there are mandatory national levels. For how much lead can be in water and so every water utility around. The country has to meet that standard by law. Industry has known about these dangerous for decades but we still have no federal protections from and drinking water no limits on air emissions no federal cleanup requirements for sites and no limits on dumping into our waterways. Such a standard is not yet set for p. fossil. There's growing pressure in congress in fact just last month brad. The house of representatives bill the p. action act Did pass which would force the epa to set the set a new standard within a year. The senate's big infrastructure. Plan that we've been talking about includes billions to start cleaning up p and water systems. So there's a lot of action up on the hill and communities. They're just waiting for the epa to actually take the step in scary enough to most of us when you hear seventy parts per trillion could cause some pretty adverse reactions specially terrifying. It sounds like to the people of tucson who have had issues with their water before decades ago now scrambling to contain whatever could be happening here. All right devon dwyer. Thanks for the heads up. Thanks brad okay. We're gonna take another quick break when we come back. Maybe zoom wedding doesn't sound so terrible. Why even the bad wedding singers are already taken. One last thing is next. Americans are finally learning the truth this summer about tulsa oklahoma buried underneath the city or what could be the answers to a century old mystery the remains of victims from the tulsa race massacre of nineteen. Twenty one how did this happen. Who was responsible. And how do we move full. That's what we're trying to answer in pulses buried truth available now wherever. You listen to podcasts emma. Last thing you probably noticed it's wedding season. According to the wedding reports and industry research group we are on track now for two and a half million weddings this year. That would be the most in american history. You can probably guess why everyone who wanted a big wedding last year had to put it off. There are still more weddings coming up this year adam together boom and that means that that two and a half million number actually might not even cover. How insanely crowded. The wedding. i'll is right now. Called are off the hook and a lot of brides are still requesting last minute. Arrangements many then you say they're booked not just through this year but all the way through next year prices have skyrocketed but happy couples. Just keep calling begging for space. They need to have a backup plan. And then you'd have a backup plan to their backup plan. Illicit crunch might not even happen this year. But in twenty twenty two and.

"Late last week. Florida's emergency rooms were swelling beyond anything they had seen last year. There were more cova patients in the hospital than ever before we recently learned the as of last friday. Florida officials sent a request to washington. Saying we need more ventilators. If you're saying that there's not resources the way you would do that as a hospital with an ass and we asked. What do you need what you need in. There hasn't been requests when governor rhonda santa's was asked about this. He said he wasn't aware of this request. Or we asked fema who made it clear but if the santa's himself to know his senior staff certainly did and yet even as his office was asking for help keeping floridians alive he was telling schools around the state. You're not allowed to tell your students to put on a mask. Along the state of florida's that parents have the fundamental right to raise their children their health and wellbeing in that that has to be respected by the state. And all this was not. We're leaving it up to the schools relieving up to local governments. This was a threat. That schools would be penalized. If they even tried to mandate masks as the cdc is recommended and increasingly these types of anti mandate mandates create standoffs between state governments and local governments. Also happening right now. The broward school board meeting to discuss mask. Mandates in schools ahead of the upcoming school year goes yesterday. Just north of miami. The broward county school board went rogue by a vote of eight to one. They said we don't care governor to santa's we are mandating masks anyway. One of those votes came from. Rosalind osgood. she's the chair of the broward county school board and she joins us this morning. Chairwoman osgood thanks for being here at the threat is that your school is going to risk funding from the state government. Right i mean. Is this decision to mandate masks worth it. Why it's a couple of threads is threatening to take money from my school. District is threatening to take the salary of the superintendent or the school board and at the end of the day. Brad when you think about public policy. I personally can't be bullied into parochial self interest to make a decision where i put myself ahead of the lives of other. People people's lives invaluable so there is no monetary value that you can put on. Somebody's life you can't put people in danger in a classroom bus setting where you can't practice social distancing in the state of florida where we're now the epicenter for the corona virus where our rates are positively rates are higher than ever before you just absolutely cannot bring a group of people back into school environments and not used mass to protect people to save their lives to prevent them from dying or prevent them from getting some type of lifelong complication as a result of being infected with the corona virus. Can you take me inside the moment. You guys decided. There's a group that were doing. This was it wasn't unanimous right. So what what were. The conversations like behind the scenes. Well there were very good conversations. I have the pleasure of serbian would a group of phenomenal ladies and we oftentimes used collective expertise in decision make. It's a challenge because we find ourselves in a place where we can challenge those who are enforced or have put these rules in place for them being outside the bounds and yet we are talking about acting outside the bounds of what our own legal counsel is telling us. We're allowed to do so. There was questions about policy questions about law. What would what would our liability as the school. Board questions about threats. The monetary damage consequences. That we would have to pay is the only consequence at this point. School board members and or superintendents. Losing their salary. Well so according to that letter. That's all they mentioned. There was a suggestion to have an opt out clause so feel that it was a very very strong comprehensive discussion but at the end of the day it came down to a moral choice. A human choice. You cannot put a price on people's lives but but then why not let you said there is one of your council members said. Hey why don't we have an opt out for for certain parents that don't want this. The governor himself says this is a parent's choice. What do you say to those parents who are like. You're not even letting me choose here for my kid. Well we have mandate that. We require children to be in seatbelt when they're in cars in seats as a matter of fact in schools you may have a personal belief. Brad that allow you in your children to smoke inside your house but when you come out into the public you can't smoke because the damage of other people of the second hand breath you know sitting out there. Yeah or the masks uncomfortable. Absolutely so ottawa have empathy for those parents who want to make those choices. I cannot risk the choice of all the other parents. We had tons and tons of people show up to speak. Don't let this governor politicize. A safety issue like masks. Hundreds and hundreds of emails parents literally begging us to protect their children to mandate mass. We do not know the long term effects yet of how their lungs are going to be affected by this as a matter of fact my granddaughter. Who's three just got. Cova did a couple of weeks ago because her dad unfortunately brought it home to the house. The mask is a tool that allows us to be safe and we've proved it. We went through the whole summer with mass being mandated. We didn't have any outbreaks in our schools for mandating mess atlanta open schools. They didn't mandate mass. They have thousands of outbreaks of the corona virus. This is a deadly deadly pandemic. And we can't play with people's lives and whatever the consequences at personally settling the fact that if i get my paycheck taken if i get removed from the board. At least i'll be able to sleep at night knowing that i didn't endanger the life of a chow. A was single person that work in our school district. In the meantime you and your fellow council members not quite sure when you're getting your next paycheck if at all as we see these battles between local and state governments go on rosin osgood chair of the broward county school board. Thanks so much for the time. Thank.

"It's wednesday august eleventh. He doesn't live in manhattan but he's still found himself on an island. You start here after days of defiance. New york governor andrew cuomo suddenly resigns the best way i can help now is if i step aside and let government get back to govern what made him give in and where the state goes from here. Meanwhile republican governor faces his own battle. There's no monetary value that you can put somebody's life. A school district has defied an order from rhonda santa's with talk to the head of the schuylkill and firefighters can save your life but can their methods kill you. The dirty groundwater was showing a huge surge in the amount of p foss in it why potentially dangerous chemical is making its way into more and more waterpipes from abc news. This start here. I'm brad mielke early last year. Just after super tuesday twenty twenty. It was clear that joe biden was going to be the next democratic nominee which some people were psyched about. Many weren't to some democrats joe biden to seem kind of law to which some analysts said. You know who would be a way better choice. The one governor who's crushing at the most right now is andrew cuomo after all. The governor of new york was quickly becoming a democratic idol seemed to have covert under control minus some weird numbers at nursing homes and tracing testing and tracing testing and tracing and we need the federal government to work with us on that. He's straight shooting press conferences. Were turning people in a self-proclaimed cuomo sexual 's this the thinking went is who should be representing democrats in this critical moment. We begin tonight with that bombshell announcement today. New york's governor andrew cuomo revealing. He will resign amid the sexual harassment scandal. Today the embattled governor said his resignation will be effective in fourteen days. We'll yesterday three term governor of new york who inherited the political legacy from his father resigned in disgrace amid allegations from his state's attorney general that he repeatedly harassed women who worked under him some of them while he was receiving all this public praise. Abc senior investigative reporter amateur. Ski is with us. You've been tracking the story since it began. Erin it looked like andrew. Cuomo is ready to dare the state legislature to force him from office. He was gonna fight right. What changed he said. His instinct. bread was to fight. But in the end he began to lose all meaningful political support. And i think he started to realize it. Especially sunday night with the resignation of his top aide. Melissa derosa who told him that she no longer had anything left to fight for. It was going to be over and she had a lookout for herself. Then we got word on tuesday morning that the governor himself had flown from albany to new york city. We didn't know why but we assume that he wanted to make some kind of a statement. Nobody vetted through the report. And i want to spend some time talking about it. Then the governor's office told us it was only going to be his attorney that ended up speaking publicly and she took down and took aim at the the investigative report and said it was unfair to the governor. Good morning let me as she speaking comes word that the governor himself was going to make a statement like to address several issues today and at that point he was able to get out his version of events. Tell his own story. Government really needs to function today government needs to perform and then ultimately say it was time for him to step aside and i think that given the circumstances the best way i can help now is if i step aside and let government get back to governing and therefore that's what i'll do and the governor's announcement i think a window into his thinking. It was straightforward and laying out precisely. What cuomo wanted to do and my instinct is to fight through this controversy. Because i truly believe it is politically motivated. He wanted to make clear that. This was normal behavior of gregarious italian that he learned from his parents in my mind. I've never crossed the line with anyone. But i didn't realize the extent to which the line has been redrawn and yet it became increasingly clear. Since the attorney general's report came out last week. Bread that the the governor was on an island and he lost all meaningful political support and it was so striking reading this report. Errand that wasn't just accusations about kissing people on the hand when he wasn't supposed to it was about sexual harassment. And not just even that allegedly that if you had the gall to tell people what actually happened to you. You retaliated against by the governor and his team as they're all talking about the power of the metoo movement so he's still denying any misconduct but how his accusers reacting here. That's been the whole in governor cuomo's public statements so far is that what was described in the report and alleged by eleven women is more than casual hugs and kisses in some cases. They say it's groping. I didn't do it consciously with the female trooper. I did not mean any sexual connotation i did not mean any intimacy by it. It was telling that part of governor cuomo's public statement when he was talking about the allegation from the state trooper for the first time. He said that he didn't recall touching her back or her stomach. As alleged and that part of his statement seemed to have an audience of five the five district attorney's around the state who are still considering whether cuomo's behavior warrants criminal charges. What was the culture words that witnesses have used repeatedly to describe it include toxic hostile abusive. But it wasn't just that cuomo was found to have sexually harassed eleven women others use. Words like fear intimidation bullying vindicated. Investigators also said that in the case of at least one lindsay boylan the governor and his aides orchestrated a campaign of of retaliation. Right after her accusations became public. It was a culture where you could not see no to the governor and if you if you upset him or his him or his senior staff you'll be written off cast aside. Were getting email after email on my cell phone from just about every politician new york city in the greater new york area. They are all trying to distance themselves from the governor right now using this is long overdue. We're happy to hear about the resignation or his accusers. They a number of them put a public statements to say that this was the outcome they were hoping for and a number of elected officials credited the women for coming forward to lead to an outcome that the state attorney general the teasha james put it in her statement will mean a new start for new york. What happens next then. If for this new start for new york is their new governor. You get a special election. I know cuomo wanted to run again right. I assume that's done. It was always andrew. Cuomo's dream to outlast his father's legacy and become a four term governor. Which does now not seem possible instead in about two weeks he will step down when his resignation becomes effective. And kathy. hoke. The lieutenant governor who is next in the line of succession will take his place and she is a much different animal here. I probably know the state rather than anybody. Because i've spent so much time in new york city but also the rural areas and the finger lakes and the north country because she was not born into a political dynasty at the side of her father but comes from a town council in in western new york she briefly served in congress she served in in state agencies and has been lieutenant governor and so she really is coming in.

"Afternoon iPad Thurston. There was an Exxon Mobil lobbyist Keith and McCoy, who thought he was talking to a job recruiter on his zoom call in May. He was actually talking with an undercover operative with Greenpeace UK and it was recorded. It was a sting, the Exxon lobbyist whose job titles actually senior director for federal relations, that is actually what a Washington lobbyist is. He revealed that the public face of Exxon is not what Exxon is. In reality. Congressman Ro Khanna represents California 17th district. Including communities in Silicon Valley. Uh, he is also the chair of the House Oversight Committee subcommittee on the environment. Congressman Khanna. Thank you so much for being here today. Thank you. Always great to be back on. Yeah, it's good to talk with you. I'm Congressman. I'm because this was really concerning. And of course I thought of you immediately. Um, What are your thoughts about these comments that were caught on tape? What was the most concerning? Well, they're appalling. Not surprising, but appalling. I mean, the fact that the Exxon lobbyist is admitting that they openly spread the climate misinformation, downplaying the risk of climate change, and that they are sabotaging key pieces of climate legislation. It should send shockwaves around the American public and We're going to have the CEOs of these fossil fuel companies in they haven't come before to answer the questions of Congress and really hold them accountable to the American public and their shareholders. Yeah, you know, they he he talked about in this in this thing. He, um he was talking about President Biden and that What President Biden wanted to accomplish is insane. That was his his terminology. It was insane. Cutting greenhouse gas emissions are insane. Um And then he talked about, um, the things that they said that we're absolutely not true that they're able to say that they would support reducing their emissions, but it's never going to happen. So they can say that and nobody is going to be the wiser. They can say it publicly because that makes them look like good guys, but they do it just because they know it's never going to happen. This is extremely concerning. We have to do something this State is burning up and climate change can no longer be denied. Congressman This is sinful. It's simple, and it's misleading. I mean, here you have Exxon out there, championing that. They're a company that's going to support renewable energy. They had shareholders were elected on a platform to the board that on climate change and caring about climate change, and then they've got a lobbyist without their bragging about killing any efforts at climate legislation bragging about Underestimating and purposely misrepresenting the risks of climate change. And until you have this kind of dark money, millions of dollars being spent the climate disinformation. We're never going to make progress on the capital, so they need to be exposed. They need to be held accountable. The CEO of ExxonMobil said the recorded comments were entirely inconsistent with our commitment to the environment, Transparency and went our employees and management team have worked toward since I became CEO four years ago. Is he full of it, Congressman Well, we're going to give him a chance to answer in front of the entire congress. What I don't understand is how these fossil fuel executives think that they're exempt from coming to Congress. They've never agreed to come before. Uh and tech executives guy on Wall Street towns. Pharmaceutical comes defense Can't break this down. Come. But the game is up because we now have a committee willing to use whatever tools are necessary to compel them to come. If it comes down to that, and they're going to be in front of Congress of the American people. I think it will be like the big tobacco hearings and they're going to have to explain exactly what they're doing. What they're spending money on. And where they stand and what's going to happen after the fact. Once they're exposed for the lives that they've been telling for how to face they are, for their knowledge of you know what the science actually revealed, which they have known for decades and what they have stated publicly. What's going to happen then. I mean, how is our awareness of their duplicity? How is that going to end up being beneficial to us? Well, it can lead to fundamental climate change legislation, legislation on disclosure and restrictions on this kind of dark money lobbying that can make it less possible to spread climate disinformation less possible to engage in this kind of cynical destruction of legislation by lobbyists. And so we can actually pass climate legislation a clean energy standard of carbon tax funding for renewable energy. Right now, you have a game where you have lobbyists killing that legislation and you have climate disinformation, making it very hard to pass anything. The comments that he made, um when he was being recorded and didn't realize what was going on. He also indicated that there were people within the Democratic Party that he has formed some sort of alliance with now those Democrats have denied that they most of them denied even knew him, Joe Manchin said. You know, he's got kind of an open door policy talks with everybody, but he didn't have nearly the close relationship that this guy is indicating that he was blustering. Do you think it was bluster? Or do you think you know he's really been able to make some inroads even with Democratic lawmakers? We're going to find out. We're going to have a bit of the committee. We're going to ask the questions. I don't want to make Presumptions and and be biased ahead of time. I want to know the facts, and we're going to get those facts by having him under oath testifying and ask him exactly all these questions. So that's all going to come out. Was this bravado and trying to get a job or did he really have these relationships People? Become much more willing to tell the truth when they're under oath and face the criminal prosecution. Risk of perjury. Yeah, well, good, And I hope there are some really tough questions he's going to have to face. Of course, I know your reputation and I know you're not going to go easy on him. I want to move to a different issue real quickly and that is that along with Elizabeth Warren, um, you Have sent a letter to the Secretary of Defense. Lloyd Austin, about this annual report on civilian casualties and connection casualties..

Jerry Rice has 48 career points and a touchdown touchdown. That's eight touchdowns in the Super Bowl. All right, here's another question, Gentlemen. Now this one is tough. You're gonna have to put your thinking hats on, all right, and we got to go toe. Where I leave off. That's been a problem with me going appalling. Colin Deerfield. This is another 40. Niners related question. Okay, guys, Because they well, they when you go to a lot of Super Bowls, you're part of the trivia game. All right, Captain West Coast over here, Paul, Here's your question. Jerry Rice is one you have you guys obviously got that I'll give you that. Cost yourself Jerry Rice. I would go with Roger Craig. That's what Mark said.
