Anthony Scaramucci Compares Trump To Timothy McVeigh
C-SPAN suspends Scully after he admits to lie about hack
"So last night fence we had the two competing town halls and Joe Biden got a two hour town hall. President Trump got a 40 minute town hall because the 1st 20 minutes of his town hall were spent arguing with Savannah Guthrie, who thought she was there to debate the president. But what last night was supposed to be was supposed to be nice to be a town hall with both candidates on the same stage, which could have happened last night and should have happened last night. But that was a goat rodeo. And so it didn't happen last night, thanks to the council on the presidential debates. S so instead, we have the two competing town halls. Now. C Span's Steve Sculley was supposed to be moderating that town. Holly's has been one of the moderators of the town hall That was supposed to happen last night. And the whole thing fell apart and part of this whole thing falling apart. You know the president was was the president, you know? Could he be there without being a super spreader they were calling on Biden's campaign, you know, apparently didn't want in there. They only wanted him there. If he was encased in like the boy in the plastic bubble like John Travolta, you know all these ridiculousness, but Steve's going one of getting caught up in this Because President Trump criticized Steve Scully as a never Trumper And Scully tweets at Scaramucci Anthony Scaramucci build Trump aide Should Scaramucci Should I respond to Trump? And everybody is thinking. Oh, he meant his put this editor a D. M. He meant to message right scare a Scaramucci directly, but instead he tweeted it out. And that, of course, caught everyone's attention. So in response to that, Scully says, My Twitter account was hacked, and we all laughed at it because it was like the third time. He said that his Twitter account has been hacked. And every time it happens, his Twitter account goes away. And then it comes back once the controversial wait. I'm sorry. There were multiple times that he did that. Yeah, there was more than what there was more that I have. No, it's okay. I didn't. I just didn't realize that okay? Yeah, he's done a multiple times hilarious even worse. Yeah, so so his account goes away, and then it comes back. So that's why I think a lot of people were a little little suspicious about him, saying that his account was hacked yet again. Well, turns out he could not keep up the lie, and he has admitted that his Twitter account was not hacked, he said. I falsely claim that my Twitter account had been hacked. So he has now been suspended as the political editor Force C span after he admitted that his Twitter feed was hacked. And you know what part of me feels like. Okay, good for him. He admitted it. How many of these people especially on the left will ride that denial down into the grand and into their graves? Because they say, Hey, it worked for joy Reid. So it'll work for me and what is left. Do they just deny and double down on denying double down and then they dare you to continue to come after them and most on the right, Just go OK and they walk away, but that didn't work for Steve

"We're talking about everything from trump to tech to wear the next election cycle is going I'm going to finish up in two things one book and the Elections Come You keep saying he's GonNa. Get re-elected. why? Well I mean just look at the data data dependent persons. Pennsylvania there's well remember midterms. President Obama. Let me use President Obama's own words. Mid Terms of twenty ten I got shellacked. He goes on to whenever a zone Ding reelection too short. Fifty three forty seven yeah. Yeah. No, he many crush them into. They'll go look in the electoral college vote for Obama in two thousand twelve believe me I was close to the situations. Reagan. Shall I when? I was four. I don't think so not in this country now with all these podcasts, people people walked in men. Back then yet uniformity depress you win forty nine states back then but on him and just studying the data going back to eighteen eighty, two today very hard to dislodge a sitting president a rising economy it's virtually not happened. The someone will push back and say, well, what about Lyndon Johnson economy was rising? He stepped out of the race because of the Vietnam War and the fear of Bobby Kennedy okay. But he if he stayed in the race people say maybe he wouldn't won reelection I'll see them in one, thousand, nine, hundred, sixty, eight, election. Aside from that. Go to eighteen, eighty, two today you don't. You don't get knocked out unless you got a big recession some dramatic thing president in every way different than airing so so. If you. This kid connor lamb. Okay. A gun toting a conservative conservative Democrat. If you told me that the Democrats we're going to pick a conservative Democrat. Conservative. Democrats not true. There have been in Pennsylvania you mean or I'm talking about the it's twenty twenty nomination. You're at the Democratic National Convention and the Democratic Party picks. A conservative Democrat or not they're not. Of course, not Then I think they have no chance to. deb No. You're not going to beat them. With because the American people are smart. They know that the left leaning strategies on the economy and things like that actually don't work. They liked the social progress. Someone you'd be nervous about against trump. you'd have to start naming people I tried to get down to Brazil to name them on the Bill Maher show. She wouldn't you have to start naming them. There's nobody that I've heard that can be trump nobody. He's a force of nature beyond anything. I very nice person I met her on on. Israel trip She's a elegant Nice Person. I don't think she can beat them I. Just one she doesn't have his name recognition and his force of his personality and. I think. Okay so bites Biden's interesting guys going to be mad at me now for this, right because I love Biden, a picture means Joe at the World Economic Forum because we were supporting gay rights globally. Okay and I was a big part of that with Chad Griffin. And I love for vice-president Bryan but Vice President Biden fumbles the ball upon contact. So he does, he did it in one, thousand, nine, hundred, Eighty, eight election. He did against Barack Obama in two thousand and eight He is a lovable guy from Scranton love him to death I have no problem with him as a human being he probably arguably make a good president. He's way smarter than People WanNa give him credit for but he fumbles the ball on contact you can't fumble the ball on CONTAC- this is the NFL. You're going in there. You're getting hit left and right? Okay. Then people will say, well, didn't you fumble the ball on contact I didn't even get a chance to get got steamroll before I can even get the ball you follow but maybe I would've probably not because I'm pretty good at debating right but but the vice president's Democratic candidate that can go up against him know if they were smart. They would they would say, okay listen we can't stand trump and yes, I know we were left than left now but if you want to beat this guy, we bring on some of the anti-trump or Republicans newly we we're going to do that we need to connor lamb like candidate to go after this guy. And you guys don't have one of those and my prediction and you immediately said they're never going to do that. If you had of those, you would reject him or her Indiana, Sheba history and. So. What about the midterm elections? Of GonNa to cost them going to cost them going to be tough. Now I said. A month ago that I thought that he could win to surprise of people. But after this election and watching the lack of political operation lock apparatus was deployed eighteen If you don't change that dramatically and we have to change that quickly because already in March and April going to be tough now say but he's got, he's got the economic elements to surprise people. The disposable income is up the economy's doing well with the right political organization, an apparatus. The House and Senate well, the probably goes. You'll probably move to impeach him. Yeah. But then you know you gotta you look they moved to impeach President Norton. Impeach them, and then you couldn't get a trial. The. Investigation hanging over it. More than money I've been and I've been wrong about. So many things I think he out of the molar investigation. Okay. I just maybe it'll be people in the periphery that are getting hit or. Even his family I don't know. I. Don't know I'm not close enough to it but I, think he comes out. Okay. Guys ever used e mail. Rarely uses the cell phone. He's I didn't see any collusion I'll maintain. The issues money laundering. Okay. Maybe that is I. Don't again. I wasn't there. So I can be in real estate and New York. Out Some I don't know you'd have to look into that maybe. Maybe they have some. Maybe they don't I don't know. My prediction is though he's the sitting president, it'll be hard to take them out. That's. Last question your book. Good. So your book was start we were we began what we it's about blue collar president. It's The. Working title you know Donald J. Trump junior called his father, the blue-collar billionaire. Yeah, and so. Said, the rich could was a blue collar billionaire. Nobody. was those that's the Because like he saw something that the other global elites didn't see a billionaire who likes the blue collar people right. He didn't. You couldn't see it. Let me tell you something. Okay and people who end blue collar today may not. Be Back, they may not. They may not like me for saying this. Okay. But I'M K with it. Now, I'm comfortable in my own skin, there were eighteen or twenty candidates on the field in two thousand sixteen. There were only two candidates that saw the economic desperation and duress. Bernard Sanders Donald J trump. The. Other guys didn't see it. I'm just telling you and by the way I the way I got my hand raised here you're looking at a guy that didn't see it because I spent thirty years of my life going up the economic spire of opportunity and class transcendence and I wanted to be rich I wanted to go to the World Economic Forum I wanted to talk to people like you. I, wanted to be on television I wanted to have financial independence and take care of my family, and so I was very driven and I started to. Push myself into the world of collective biases of the elites and I didn't see it. It wasn't until I started campaigning with the president. Then the candidate I said, Oh, my God. Oh my God steps talking to the people that I grew up with. These. Are The people I grew up with and my parents are insulated from these people because I'm paying for everything and you know making sure they're okay was the people I grew up with her having a rough time right now he sees it. He's a billionaire living in a tower near the tiffany store. He sees it and I am a doom cough. I did not see it right why didn't I see it because I'm tunneling myself in in the car I think let me finish the. blue-collar president means that he recognizes the economic duress and he's trying to implement policies to help them and thus far thirteen fourteen months into the economic data suggests that there are elements of what he's doing..

"Tech and media, all businesses, wins, and fails and predictions for what comes next, just search for pivot in your podcast APP of choice. But now here's my interview with the March Anthony Scaramucci from March two, thousand eighteen. Did you ever think you'd be here? No I never thought I'd be here given the fact that you bomb me on twitter. Trolling bombings fine I actually personally like you so Trolling I, thought it was reading her it doesn't bother me was funny. Actually doesn't bother me all I think I've learned after my Firing and my rolling in broken glass and. I actually have a strong concept I can take about. Like you quite a bit anthony the. They. Amused by you for sure but they're definitely going to give it to you. But you give it back. So it's just as fine. So good. So let's start. Who you are Anthony Scaramucci want to address the media at one point. Very important for the United States who in my good question. Okay. Hopefully figure that out before I die but but I I grew up in a middle class family. My parents didn't go to college my father or in. A Long Island where I grew up in a town called Port Washington. Harbor Anthony. Okay. So you do you remember you remember McCormack sandstone. Gossip Sandstone. Okay. So you know where the clock tower is. Right, and so if you head North out of Rosalind interdependence. But into the peninsula. On West Shore Road There was a very large sandbank meant there. You'll probably maybe. As a kid. So so our area rows and harbour port Washington had the largest granular sand deposit in North America, and so all of Long Island is a glacial deposit. When the receded back to North? Ball. Long Island Block Island Nantucket Martha's Vineyard the elbow of Cape Cod right and there you go and so right there in the peninsula port Washington it took ninety five years for Italian Welsh and Irish immigrants to mine out that sand. So my family originally started in Wilkes Barre Pennsylvania. Scranton. Yes. Go planes actually. Coal Mining Company anyway go ahead. Okay. So my so my grandfather actually wasn't a minor but he had a store in that town in plain Pennsylvania and so he told my my father and his two older brothers to leave the town you didn't want them going into the minds and so. They responded to classified advertising to go mind sand on Long Island. So they landed in the town of Port Washington and my dad started with a payload or I worked conveyor belt of used to measure barges is probably giving you too much more than you want but. The the sand would be put on a barge in by Bar, Beach Harbor it would be tugged voted through the thrives neck over long island city, it would be mixed with the concrete building. Yeah. So people don't realize is that the the gateway for the skyscrapers here was the Queensborough Bridge, the fifty ninth street bridge it was it was erected in nineteen o nine and so you took the sand from Long Island mixed it into concrete and you had those big singer cylinder trucks ride over the coins Borough Bridge to build these buildings. So sixty five percent of the concrete. Came from my hometown from nineteen zero, five to two thousand delegate. My Dad spent forty, two years in that company Lasso. So he worked for the same company for forty two years. SORTA with his hands never went to college had an unbelievable work ethic I. Still See and remember my mom preparing lunch Pail Mom's a homemaker homemade. So this is very important to understand because. that. Family that I came from was an aspirational working class family. We live in a working class area of the town port Washington quite affluent is thank God for that because it was a very good public school system but there are certain clays inside poor Washington in the one, thousand, nine, hundred, Seventy said had blue collar people in them. and frankly people could afford to live there because there were very high wages post World War. Two. As we were continuing our industrialization these other nations were vanquished. There was a shortage of labor and so my dad had what I would call a light blue collar wage for a blue collar job. It wasn't a white collar person, but we had sear's tough skins. We were taking air conditioners in and out of our. Our House. We shared one bathroom five of us, but it was a was a great way to grow up and so and I was a product of a very good public school system. So. Poor Washington. So I'm not one of these even though I'm a Republican. I'm not one of these conservatives. That are for no government or too small of a government I believe that yet to have an energetic government to help create. A level playing field or at least as level. No question, and so you need the Republicans are going to have to wake up and recognize that they're not gonna fix the edgy uneven educational problem in the United States through charter schools or school choice and things like that there elements. Of the process of fixing it, but you have to have broadscale public education. Broadcast Teaching. Them Surat scale public education reform. An S come through the public schools and as of come from Union accountability is not GONNA come from I've got a charter school and that's what we're GonNa do this I mean they're great and they should be supported and I do support them financially but it's not the single element. So so here I am in his blue-collar enclave and a very nice community twenty, two miles from. Manhattan and I go to Schreiber high school. You may remember that from Rosin Harbor. go to Tufts University and from Tulsa go to Harvard law school. And getting myself educated, and then it dawned on me that I'm GonNa do better in the world of finance and investing would less surly practice practicing. Goldman, Sachs. I spent seven years there. Banker Anthony Noise sucked. It's terrible being banker so I started an investment banking. My job at Goldman started on August fourteenth nine, hundred, eighty nine. I was fired from Goldman Sachs on February first, nineteen ninety. So I sucked at it so. What was your Sasha being an investment banker an investment banking associate I couldn't do the spreadsheet math and the macro algorithms that you needed to do to run. The process was bored to tears by it, and Goldman is a pretty swift place at recognizing when somebody socks and so it took eighteen months they fired me and this is a learning lesson for younger people listen to your podcast don't burn any bridges and so I stayed tight with the guy that fired me and I came back on Monday it was fired on Friday February. I I was back Monday pumping quarters. I got a roll of quarters because there were no cellphones back then. Pumping, quarters in the pay phones here amid midtown Manhattan and one of my buddies that, hey, there's a job opening at. At Goldman Sachs. So I laughed I said, where is it? It's in the investment area. and. So I, call my old boss who had just fired me I said Hey, there's a job opening on the twenty eighth floor. Had, gotten fired from the seventeenth floor I said, could you put a good word for me? So you know what I would you're an honest guy work hard. You just sucked at this job, and so I went upstairs interview for the the other job and got rehired into Goldman Sachs. No took about six weeks and so I was fired. What did you move from fired on? February first and I got rehired on March twenty eighth. So I moved into the equities area, the stock. Market. Area. And that was great I thrive. Not moved to..
Anthony Scaramucci bragged about the first time he took 'a huge s---' in the White House, according to Sarah Sanders' new book
"Is part of Sanders. Upcoming Book and Axios, Jonathan Swan, big name and political reporting. Axios got an excerpt from Sarah Sanders book and tweeted it out. And this is it while we were in the staff vans and route to the jamboree. This is a Boy Scout jamboree that Trump spoke out. Remember? While we were in the staff vans and round to the jamboree, Mooch announced. I'm proud to report I crossed a major item off my bucket list today. I assumed that he would say something like riding on Air Force One, but instead much said that he had taken Aah! Huge Blank. In the West Wing. The rest of us in the van. Sat there speechless as the what was that? Yeah, I guess I could use a sound effect. Yeah, yeah. Or you know Yeah, there it is of they sat there speechless. As the mooch proudly told us. They didn't immediately call this son afterward to share the big news. That's gross. That's flat out. That's pretty disgusting. So to West Wing and White House toilet stories now within just a couple of weeks,

"Or you mentioned president trump and so we have to talk about the election which is coming up fast and of course you have all this history with the president. You said he was not gonNA win reelection now. Maybe you think he has a better chance and then we've got it. Looks like Biden firmly in the mix. So where do you come out on all this right now? Anthony so when when you when I spoke in Davos Switzerland the consensus among the elite. There was that he was GonNa win a resounding election. And what I said to you I had gone to Davos. For fifteen years. And more. Or less every time the elites coagulated around. One idea was resoundingly wrong. They said limitless growth in two thousand seven we went. We went over the cliff in two thousand nine. They said the world was going to go into a global depression and it was the rise of a ten year extraordinary bull market and so in sixteen. They said Secretary Clinton would be the president. Donald Trump would not win the Republican nomination. So the consensus was that he's going to win. I still think he's going to lose. But I think the odds of him. Winning have improved for him because this is viewed as a war is approval ratings are upright now although a lot of the red states they haven't been affected by the virus the way the coastal cities are Worthy International. Transfer points are in the United States like New York Northern California. We've got a hot spot in Detroit. We've got one down in New Orleans and the cases are growing obviously in Miami and so forth so we'll have to see what happens to his political standing and his approval ratings once the pandemic reaches its high point is obviously very very tragic. But I don't I don't think he wins number one. He's going to have a recession in an election year. There has been no modern president. That's been able to withstand a recession in the election year. And you will remember George. Herbert Walker Bush had a recession in the beginning of that year. Nine hundred ninety two. The economy had already improved in pulled out of recession and he still went on to lose the election and he was also somebody who was a great popular figure during a war. He had a ninety one percent approval rating fourteen months later. He lost the election so. I'm still reasonably confident. Donald Trump will lose this election. And it's not because I have personal animus towards him war. We're in a personal fight. It's just objective clear-eyed analysis of what's going on right now. I also think the hysteria that he creates with the tweeting and the nonsense that he says that these press briefings which are always fact checked to be incorrect are going to hurt him as well. I think people are fatiguing from that. So Andy I think this will ultimately be a referendum. As most incumbent presidential elections are on a vote for president trump or a vote against him more than anything else. It's really not the other candidates. Are we voting this guy to stay in or voting them out? I think he gets voted out on a number of different reasons. One is I think people are exhausted from all of the nonsense number two. I think that these press conferences and the litany of lies are growing tiresome for moderates and independents. I will accept the fact that he does have a firewall and conservative. Talk Radio and Conservative punditry in terms of nighttime television anchors. That are taking the full ride with him. They represent a firewall for him. But I do think the data is suggesting to me that he will not win reelection. I'll give your listeners. One data point. That would be very concerning to me. If I was on the president's campaign there were five hundred thousand additional registered Democratic voters that went to the polls during a pandemic in Super Tuesday three in Michigan and and that alarmed a lot of people. And even Michael Moore. Who's been living in Michigan? His whole life said okay. Wait a minute. The data is changing here. The fervor in passion may be on the side of the Democrats this year in twenty twenty as opposed to what it was against the Democrats in two thousand sixteen and final question. The Anthony What about your own aspirations? Your own political aspirations? Would you consider running for office in the State of New York? Well people ask me that all time. I guess because I I got accidentally involved in politics and it's sort of like being Michael Corleone and Godfather Three. You can't get yourself out of it but you know I. I had personal problems in my marriage while I was working in the White House my wife and I subsequently reconciled so I tell people look. I'm I'm running for reelection in my marriage. Okay I'm more concerned about that on my family and Andy. I don't know about your marriage but I think I'm on like a one day term in my marriage and I can't figure out if there's term limits or I'm going to get turned out or not so I'm extremely focused on that. I'm not a politician so I'm not GONNA lie. Not Tell you that I haven't looked at the idea of doing something like that. But I think aloud work left to do it. Skybridge in terms of growing that company and getting it positioned to where I think it could be so if you ask me that in five or ten years. I'm sure I have a different answer but right now. I'm just very focused on my family and trying to get my customers and clients better positioned after this pandemic all right. We will be watching Anthony SCARAMUCCI founder and managing partner of Skybridge. Thank you so much for your time. A. B. or a dagger You've been watching influencers work. We'll see next time..
Anthony Scaramucci on The Deal Of The Century
"Hi It's Johnny of justice out of the Four Seasons Hotel Ten Trinity Square Very Upmarket Hotel in private cloud wet tonight. Members were treated to a talk in a very intimate setting given by former White House. Communications director in the trump administration. Anthony Anthony SCARAMUCCI. Now he wasn't in the job for very long was he. He said something in confidence to what he thought was a friend. And that friend doped it in and all trump sacked him. Kim says he regretted working for trump. But I'm not so sure. He's made the very best out of it and he's become pretty well known all over the world but now I feel he SCARAMUCCI Mucci two point not after the public humiliation of his dismissal. In the world wide media glare it affected every part of his life including his marriage trump capitalized on that on twitter. But he's since reconciled with his other half now he's going out to campaign for Mike Bloomberg mini Mike as he calls him and we've heard that he's being true to his political instincts as a democrat. He wants to underpin the principles and institutions of the American constitution which she says are paper thin enough to his talk. I got a chance to talk to him. One on one about the deal of the century a bid for new settlement in Israel title with the Palestinians the issue with the Palestinians he says. Is that oftens in this discourse. They don't have adequate political advocacy Kazeem. People don't care about them because they not an economic engine. Israel is an economic engine so if the PA's failed leadership doesn't come to the table able and Israel pushes for the annexation as he calls it of all territories which they regard as that which they feel they need against the people who called a won't negotiate he says is a route to hopelessness and self destruction in SCARAMUCCI is book. They need to come to the table. Take the fifty billion dollars in stock the negotiation man. He drew powered else with the American founding. Fathers Protecting the tyranny of the individual the most sacred minority in the system against the Overriding majority well. That's not a fulsome parallel. But I understand his point. SCARAMUCCI is a Roman Catholic not Jewish. But he's a self declared Zionist. He's even happy to call it Judea and Samaria not the West Bank. Have a listen to Anthony SCARAMUCCI. Thank you very much ronsard. That's a Jewish. I am Jewish as honest like Y. Ou explain why but here. It's it doesn't matter whether you and I this if you WANNA protect Israel and you want to provide for peace and security for Israel. They need an advocate at the table Palestinian. It's almost like a prime minister. Should say okay okay. You're the designated advocate for the Palestinians. Not handling it themselves. You have to go in there and try to convince these people to do things certain SORTA way they can get the rights of the need and the sovereignty. They need the self-fulfilment it. They just keep on the Palestinians on being used internationally as vehicle sandwiches such a credit but they don't have a willing leadership then not in the business. Yeah no exactly so. This deal is about a divorce. Peace Not War. Do you agree with her. Yeah but but I I think that we have to be more than think water with the bigger for it to be more transformation. Of course they're being used. You gotTA understand. The Israelis have an advocate the United States they have members of the West that are provided vitamin advocacy. If you don't create balance or some level of symmetry remember von Metternich. Said about peace in peace when you need balance in peace you need. A structured forces were allies of committed to suppressing the Internet. And if you're that on balance you're going to create a period of hopelessness that will be. They have hopelessness already. Understand that you started a next Xingdong territories. Okay Listen We gave slack mckim from. I don't call it the West Bank. I call it today in Somalia area. I'm from that camp understand that but I'm telling you you want to figure out a way to cohabitate with wanted the Jarrett's the plan is close. Actually John's plan but it needs to be slightly better for them. And then you can have the peace with the security right now. Israel's through the very strong stable nation very secure wi jeopardizes security by that and I. I've been destroyed. I've seen the MINORA that's made out of a case of Hamas Ian's but I'm telling you you've gotta come up with something. There equalised slightly equalize awesome.
Joe Walsh: Strongly considering primary challenge to Trump
"Donald trump's approval rating among republicans sit somewhere between eighty or ninety percent which is pie although that comes with a bit of an asterisk asterisk which is that trump is driven a lot of people away from identifying as republicans people like michigan congressman justin amash who called for trump's impeachment and who was a republican in good standing but has now switched to being an independent. He's the kind of person who wouldn't show up one of those polls. Here's the fundamental problem. There are a number of self described conservatives who do not like like donald trump but most don't really have any political base or power and that's the problem facing anyone wants to mount a primary challenge the president and the g._o._p. And yet interestingly thinly enough there are people who want to give it a shot anyway for massachusetts governor. William weld is in he has declared he is running now. Former south carolina governor and congressman mark sanford former former illinois congressman and talk show radios joe walsh appear closer during the race and challenging the president and anthony scaramucci says he's going to rustle up a bunch of ex trumpers to take the president on as well ultimately the stakes. Here may be mostly about donald trump. Som psyche almost certainly going to trounce any republican challenges him and yet. There's a lot of reporting that suggests team is obsessed with staving off primary challenges here discuss a reagan administration official and share the center for equal opportunity linda chavez and former tea party activists been how the author of the immoral majority new book about evangelical and trump in co host of the fifth estate podcast linda. I don't know i guess i'm skeptical optical but i'm seeing all those noises it looks like sanford and walsh will get in scaramucci is trying to rustle up some group of folks. Is there anything here you think well. I mean if you look back back at what happened to president. George herbert walker bush in nineteen ninety-two he did get challenged by pat. Buchanan obviously buchanan's challenge well. I think stronger than any of the people we've been talking about are going to be able to muster against trump did harm him and i think it set him up for ultimate failure in the general election. I think that's what this is. All about. None of these guys that we're talking about are likely to defeat donald trump unless trump goes evan farther off the rails and then we've seen him so far but being able to damage him being able to come at him as walsh might from the right could could have some impact and might dampen
Trump postpones Denmark trip over Greenland sale
"President. Donald trump has cancelled an upcoming trip to denmark. The decision comes as the u._s. President made the outlandish outlandish even for him suggestion this week that the u._s. could potentially by greenland greenland is autonomous danish territory and as we have been being told not for sale. Here's what mr trump has been saying about it recently. Essentially it's a large real estate deal. A lot of things could be done so hurting denmark very badly because they're losing almost seven hundred million dollars a year carrying so they carry it at a great loss and strategically for the united states that would be nice and we're a big ally of denmark and we helped denmark and we protect denmark and we will <hes> in fact. I'm supposed to stop. I'm thinking what about going. There definitely going there but i may be going. We're going to poland and then we may be going to denmark not for this reason at all but <hes> we're looking at it. It's not number one in the burner okay robin. I need to bring up something. One observation trump seems to reference the that greenland has been operating at a loss for denmark. It almost sounds as if he's talking about an asset accompany or perhaps even a used car aw but that's the way he sees the world isn't it. I mean you just played the clip a large real estate deal. I've been that that is his background. That's the way he sees the world. It's all to do with buying canceling profit and loss <hes> doing deals however i think we're making a mistake th th the thing i think we need to do whenever mr trump says something else. Land dish rush is to see what it is. He doesn't want us to be talking about and i was looking at what he was tweeting about before. Greenland suddenly became the big trump story. He's tweeting tweeting about a new fox news poll which he really objected to because it showed him likely to lose to any one of the main democratic party candidates did it in the presidential election next year and he said something going on fox <hes> that fake news as well just like everybody else and he got really upset the other thing that he was tweeting about was that book this book. That's just come out by his former. Rather short lived <hes> press advisor anthony scaramucci which is less than polite about mr trump scaramucci and other disgruntled former employees called him a highly unstable nut job. He didn't want us talking about that. He's perfectly happy for us to talk about greenland. He's joking his critics around. He's dominating the agenda. Which is what he loves to do. We know from several counts that if he's not on the headline turned on the t._v. T._v. news headlines. He objects speeches around. They talking about me. He's got what he wanted well in date and is very very difficult to navigate the news agenda endo when adults saying that donald trump is constantly at the steering wheel as to what we ought to be talking about oh. We'll be talking about <hes> linda when you saw this news break a couple of days ago did you. Who did you think that donald trump or even his wider administration were treating these with any degree of seriousness whatsoever look. I'll admit when we spoke about it i on this. "anthony scaramucci" Discussed on The Economist Radio
"Hello and welcome to the economist asks and Miquel voi- and this week. We're asking is Mr. Trump the people's president. President Trump spent recent weeks on a riotous campaign to holding eleven rallies in eight states in the last week alone working the stadium like boardroom, he presented himself as a man of the people to rapturous crowds. You're defending together. With a lot of other great Republicans your freedom. This election will decide whether we build on the extrordinary prosperity that we've unleashed taken care of ourselves for change. Pataudi Donald Trump real estate billionaire native of the Gulf course, convince half of America that he was one of them. My guest today believes the president ease an ordinary Joe. And he Scaramucci worked for Donald Trump's team for almost a year culminating in eleven yes. Just eleven days as white has director of communications last year. His original trait is finance. He founded and runs investment firm skybridge capital. And his new book is called Trump. The blue color president Anthony Scaramucci, welcome to the economist ousts fantastic introduction. I was hoping you'd read it again. Let's look at your work with Donald Trump. You say in your book that it was a story of a unique friendship with the president. So how did the two of you meet and how did you become so close? Well, I mean, I don't wanna characterize it as close that's unfair. We have a good acquaintanceship. We have a good knowledge of each. Other. And you know, I think we we we enjoy Joe's personality we both had a laugh at at different situations. But I met him in one thousand nine hundred five my old boss introduced me to his name was Michael Fassa tally was at Goldman Sachs at the time. And what I write in the book is that he left a Yuejin pressure on me because he was then Donald J Trump he had already been a bestselling author and at a colossal success and was wonderful with PR on. I'm sure I made absolutely no impact on him. It wasn't until the two thousand eight nine ten period of time that we got to know each other because I was working at CNBC, and he had the NBC hit show the apprentice. And so then we started a more casual relationship, and then our relationship got very serious during the Mitt Romney campaign where we did to fundraisers, and Mr. Trump's apartment, and we had worked on a telephone together and some other things, and so that's when when he indicated three or four years later they've been around for president. That's when the relationship really started develop you. You're on the campaign, fullness to you. You'll take away from that. Is that Trump is blue collar hero? That'd be fed. Yeah. Yeah. What I would say is that he's a hero to the ordinary Joe that you're describing in the introduction. One of the reason why titled the the book the blue-collar president is I knew that the liberals would set their hair on fire, and they would shriek in horror that I would call a guy that was born with a golden toilet seat. Abe blue-collar president, you know, and if you looked at his apartment, and you can see it on the internet is it looks like Louie the fourteenth smoke, crystal meth and then decorated the apartment, and so you know, he's not a blue collar person. He's obviously born fairly gilded in. So the notion of the book, and the concept was for whatever reason he was able to tap into an identifier with the middle class and lower middle class struggle in the United States, and there's a struggle like that going on in the United Kingdom, which is also tied to the Brexit. There's a thread here between our two countries where half of the. Population has felt left out by the process of globalization. And so there's an anger response for later to that of the president was able to tap into that I did twenty six campaign stops with him. And when I tell on a story in the book, I grew up in blue collar family. My dad was an hourly worker, but what I tell in the book is that I started to lose touch with my origin, for whatever reason, this is unfortunate. But very true as I went to tops and Harvard Law School, and Goldman Sachs, and I started building my hedge fund businesses. I myself started operating a circle of elites, and I started to get the convert biases of the elites, and so spent enough time in Davos, Switzerland. You start thinking people that go two thousand insulin..

"From Michigan, radio and NPR looks at how a team of women put. One of the worst serial sexual abusers behind bars. Joining us from NPR in New York is Anthony Scaramucci. His new book is called Trump the blue collar president. Anthony, welcome to one a. thanks so much for having. Let's start with that title Trump the blue collar president. I think it might be an odd image to call him blue-collar considering everything in his house is gilded, but I don't think that's quite what you mean by that. Yeah. Well, listen, I mean, I tried to pick a controversial title. I knew that the the, the people on the left side of the political ledger would be upset with that title because Mr. Trump has a gilded toilet and the apartment looks like Louie, the fourteenth smoke crystal meth and then decorated the apartment. So I knew that would upset them by putting gently, yes, yeah, but I but I but I titled it that way because I grew up in a blue collar neighborhood. I have blue collar parents that never went to college. And my dad had an hourly workers job when he got started in his career and and the people that I grew up with really like him and they. Support him even to this day. And so I think there's a message in the book as to why they do that and and listen, you know why? I tried to open my mind up to everybody's thought and everybody's ideas. I'm not closed minded. I understand the president has many flaws, and I understand the people on the side of the album that don't like him. I understand why, but I think the book has an important voice because the people on the other side of the the don't like him. I was suggest that they read the book so that they could get some sense for why he's at forty, seven percent and climbing and why he's tightened up a what could have been a Blue Wave. He's tightened up that race in made it closer and why he's getting countless thousands of people to show up at his rallies. I think it's important for people to understand it. Well, I, I will say I have to agree with it just hopefully they can understand it well, and I think I understand where you're where you're coming from with that point. It kind of it makes me think about. I don't remember if I don't know if you've ever seen citizen Kane, but if you think about the character of. Charles foster Kane when he starts to go into politics, part of what gives him a serious chance at winning. And of course, he, he fails because of another scandal. But it's this idea that he starts to articulate for people who feel like they're not being heard. You can argue with his politics, but just his ability to speak to people and have them go. Yeah. What he said, that's what we've been trying to get you to hear. That's kind of what I'm hearing from your argument that that Donald Trump was able to articulate something that millions of Americans have tried have wanted to feel validated on for a long time yet. No, no question. I think I think there's a Liz pendants at working class, middle class people lower middle-class people have against the Washington establishment. I think there's a series of complaints where they feel that they've been under served and they see Donald J Trump for whatever reason as their avatar as a disruptive force in Washington, and they may even see him as a wrecking ball, and they like the idea that he's coming in there. To Rex certain artifices of the establishment..

"They've called him racist sexist, but they've never called Doug Casey wrong. Find out why at incorrect book dot com. Bringing a former communications director for President Trump, Anthony Scaramucci run around promoting his book, which would be out tomorrow called Trump the blue collar president. And I didn't watch it because they can't bear to watch the view. So I had my, I had my crack staff watch it and and report, and I read some soft and they were giving you some jazz about why. What were they jazz in you about. Will they don't like Trump obviously jazzy, blue-collar president because he has a gold toilet seat in his house. So therefore, how can you grow up the way did Bill and be quote, unquote, blue-collar president of. And that wasn't. The point of the book point was that he captured the imagination of people that I grew up with in the town over from an acid. I, my father worked in the sand bits for forty two straight years. He had a heavy crane job in a payload her job. And so I talk about how he captured the imagination. Like wrote with Mike cousin, bobby's clamor in Worcester bay, my cousin all Iran's competition, auto auto glass down on planned on road, logging. So then wins you. Now there's from even even Megan McCain, who's the token conservative on the crew shouldn't like Trump. Nobody likes Trump before I've been on of you many, many times. You may know, I won't do it anymore with Barbara Walters was there. She imposed a civility on bay har- who has just the worst and Goldberg is followed in that in that path. And but Barbara Walters was the creator of the show and could impose her will on those ladies. Which did was your hostility to you when you walked in and saw them, or was there any of that older, like being a Yankee in Fenway park, you know, the audience is going to do. They're going to you and throw fastballs at your forehead and that's fine. I think one of the issues with Megan and I like her great deal. I used to obviously be on several the FOX shows with her Bill. You know she's sore at the president because of the relationship. Be for their father, right? And look, I sympathize with that. I told Donald Trump when he said this stuff about John McCain, that it was a mistake. But you know if she's going to host a television program and I think Megan McCain is largely fair. She says a blind spot right now for Trump. But look, I read your book over the weekend, very interesting read, but it was more interested in you than what you thought Donald Trump. Even though I think your analysis is correct. When Trump came on the scene, there were millions and millions of Americans sixty million to be exact that were fed up with politicians, and they wanted somebody to come in and blow it up which he has. But now going forward, Donald Trump has a number of things that he's going after accomplish. If he wants to be reelected. First of all, you got caught up and I'll never understand in a million years and it still happens to this day. Why the Trump administration talks to the New Yorker or New York magazine or CNN or the Associated Press. You got now by a conversation with a New Yorker reporter, Ryan lisera. Okay. Why bother? Why bother with those people. You know, I try to be brutally honest in the book is, you know, because you read it, I made a mistake and so Ryan Liz's father, Frank work with my dad in this amputates out by your house and a notice other for fifty years. I did up the relationship with him and I got on the phone talking to him. And you know, if you listen to the recording, it is a colloquial recording. I am using some salty language. I grew up in a neighborhood, so sometimes we use faulty language, no different from what John Kelly was saying. Job open last Friday, so, but he asked me if I wanted to do a promotional profile yourself in the New Yorker..

"Anthony scaramucci on abc news just how universal though has criticism of the president been within his own party a question the bbc's julian marshall put to the republican post up frank luntz i wouldn't say it's been universal i think it's been disappointing for many republicans who felt that he should have come out more strongly and more forcefully declaring what is and is not acceptable but this president has never been has never received any kind of support our understanding for any of the messaging that he's done ejustice it's speak like any other presidents he doesn't communicate like any other presidents his own supporters have appreciated it is opponents at hated it and some republicans have been supportive him some have not i mean he won office spy building a coalition very broadly of from traditional small government republicans evangelical nativist sindh largely white disaffected working clause photos how much of that coalition do think would appreciate mr trump's lack of specific criticism of what supremacists well you have to remember that trump actually did better among african americans and mitt romney did at each it better among latinos then rama did in fact it did better among women so trump's coalition is broader than people realize but that set in times like this whether your george w bush barack obama in times like this you are clear and explicit in your condemnation if you read the tweet that trump send out it was direct and it was tough but it was not as explicit and not as condemning as many people would have wished.
