"The loss of Anthony Roberson, which frankly, every time is name comes up in the news. It's bad news. Because it's now again being evaluated in six more weeks as he was injured in a workout. But the Roberston lost killed their defense last year. It went from tops in the league or one of the tops in the league to one hundred eight point seven per one hundred possessions, which was good for about eighteenth. So they can move from one of the best to one of the bottom ten in the league last year without Rogerson. It looked like maybe that would be fell them this year. But it has not and they have honed in and become this amazing defensive team. What do you make of what we've seen from Oklahoma City? Well, it's like you said, Chris, okay? See number one defense. They're not even close. Anybody else? Outliers sheer shout out the Malcolm oil author of Elias, and I don't think only saying this because last night's game happen against the pistons in Detroit, but weren't there son like oh four piston. Vibes watching that thunder defenses. Utterly dominate the game. Right. I mean Terence Ferguson coming back. His effort is contagious watching him run through screens closing on every jumper. Like there's this one play. I think early in the third quarter. Andre Drummond got switched on the Jeremy grant and granted strong enough for drum and he's one of the most versatile offenders, but Ferguson just flew out of nowhere block the shot. And I thought it was one of those plays that similize or defenses a whole they have versatility have guy's gonna offend multiple positions. But they also play with effort up and down the roster. Whether it's the rookie Hamadou Dalla who's out right now. Whether it's Russell Westbrook their star player who's playing with more effort on defense. Whether it's Stephen Adams, anchoring, the Defense, Paul George, obviously, the two-way superstar that he is this team from top the bottom has plus defenders on it. And everybody is playing with effort. It's been remarkable watching this team on defense. They're going to need to sustain it because their offense is average or below average so far, but. But their defense is special. Sam presi has assembled a loaded loaded defensive roster. And interestingly enough one of the players that you didn't mention I was reading an article yesterday, and I jotted down a couple of notes from it. It mentioned that Alex Breen 'as of players that have played fifteen minutes a game and played at least fifteen games his defensive rating. So would you ever? Whatever you want at those stats stink. That's fine. You might say they stink. They send in the NBA matter. It's a team stat. Sorry. I hate those stats what you hate defensive rating. It doesn't mean anything for a player. It doesn't. It's a team stat. I run article last year like what stats NBA executives think are Adum. Basically, one of the ones they said, they don't like when you know, put it this way, the example that was given was like a couple years ago. Kelly Olympic lead the NBA in defensive rating, he didn't lead the NBA in defensive rating. The Celtics lead the NBA defensive rating when Kelly Olympic was on the floor. It's about the context of the way it said, so it's like Oklahoma City may lead the NBA when Alex Sabrina is on the floor. But it's is it because of Alex or is it because they have Steven Adams Accoring the paint. Jeremy grant turns Ferguson, Paul George and the wings. But can you use that as an opportunity to say, hey, does this matchup? They appear to be a better defensive team. When a brain this is on the court now, I don't know you don't think that this can correlate. Sometimes there's going to be times when we're goofy. There's also going to be times where it actually tells you what you want it to tell you, which is are they much better defensive team when this particular players on the floor, and for what reason and then you can kind of investigate that rather than just citing it and saying oh. There have been very good. Well, why would they be better with the brain out on the court could be and I guess we just we could just discount the stat completely and just say, oh, it's goofy. And you know, executives don't like it. Mostly geckos are morons by the way. I just like us, right? Yeah. You know what? I mean..

"Is the final. Palmer ridge routes blows south. It wasn't always looking that way. But in the end Palmer ridge was able to take full control of this game. And Ryan pelton right now has the statistical information from this one. Yeah. Big second half four Palmer ridge. They outscored the Pueblo south colts thirty one to zero in the final two quarters including a twenty four zero shutout in the fourth quarter. These unofficial stats for Pueblo, south passing lies, Logan Pettit? Three for eighteen twenty six yards and three interceptions. A couple of those interceptions turned into touchdowns for polaroid. One went to the house. Anthony roberson. I take back to the house and a couple of intersex interceptions in the second half, Russian wise. The colts led by Connor who's fifty or forty bigger part in fourteen rushes fifty eight yards coal sniff eight rushes for sixty two yards. Logan Pettitte the quarterback for the colts eight rushes for seventeen yards. Ryan the colts head one hundred seven yards rushing in the first half. They only had twenty and the final two quarters. I think that will be a big emphasis on why? They were unable to come away with this victory tonight. Just twenty second half rushing yards to go along with sixteen passing yards. So their offense really hit a wall. But Palmer ridge defense really stepped up in that second half for the Victoria's. Palmer ridge bears led by quarterback. Ty. Evans eight for eighteen fifty seven yards. He did have a touchdown on the ground talking about his running game seven Russia's twenty three yards to go along with that TD. But it really was a Rafer rule party tonight. He dominated the pigskin thirty to Russia's one hundred and ninety seven yards and three touchdowns on the ground and Noah had a late fourth quarter. Touchdown. He had seven rushes for thirty six yards and receiving wise. Palmer ridge led by cayden Dudley. Had a great good first half three receptions, forty yards. So those are unofficial stats. I think looking at him. Now just doing the math that second half offense for Pueblo south. Just kind gotta hit a wall and Palmer ridge just at halftime and really stepped up their defense. Well, that's the way that this game turned out on the stats when we come back. We'll take a look at the other areas scores will take a look at both the Colorado Springs and Pueblo teams with those of you joining us down in Pueblo. So we'll do that. And then we'll wrap things up from Dombrowski stadium here. Introducing.

"On third down, which is indeed what will be the case third down in fourteen ball on the Colt forty and now a timeout is called by Ryan Goddard as his team wasn't getting lined up either correctly or on time either way timeout is taken the first of the second half four south colts. Yeah. You got long third down here for the colts with your face into the wind only one pass completion by colts quarterback Logan pet it so far tonight. I want to be surprised, right? If they just put it back on the ground, maybe get a big chunk here. And then make manageable fourth down. If you're Pueblo south feel pretty good about the way that your defense has played. So maybe you. Because when you go for it on fourth down. It is obviously a vote of confidence in the offense that you could get it. But it's also big vote of confidence for the defense to say. Even if we get stopped here, we believe that you will come out and stop the opposing team. And now this game could turn into just a field position game where the ball's out on the field. It could turn into that. As evidence of the tie three wide receivers here on third and fourteen pet. It takes a snap throws down the middle. It is. At the forty eight yard line. Now be enough for a first down into double coverage. It is delivered perfectly by finds Jackson Dickerson for the first time in this game. And it'll be I ten on the public south Willoughby short, excuse me. He's a little short. Ryan got the ball into Jackson Dickerson. Ours. Looking at it was a long down still a completion that Jackson Dickerson. It's still gonna be about a four and six Ryan. And Palmer ridge here is going to get back to take this. Olmstead weighty back at his own thirty five nearly gets a blocked end over end cake bounces at the Palmer is twenty-five. It goes out about that same spot too. So Pueblo south has to punted away on their opening drive of the second half. We'll see what. Ty Evans in the bears have up their sleeve with our score tied up at fourteen with seven thirty to go in this third quarter yet to offensive turnovers for the bears in that first half and looking back. There could have been three or four. There was a couple of interceptions that were dropped by the Pueblo south defensive crew. So Palmer ridge, very lucky not to have more turnovers. So far this game. So I intend ball on the Palmer rich twenty four yard line. I look at tie ins and the bear offense here in the second half Evans in the shotgun. Three wide receivers. Takes a shotgun. Snap. Throws it to the nearside. It's caught in the slot across the thirty up to about thirty three. And I'll be right at the first down marker. That's Anthony Roberson I often catch of the night and nice rest offense. If you did have the defensive interception for return in that second quarter, but that's a first offense of reception for Anthony.

"To review film here to show off their highlights but the defensive coordinator thirty happy we got two defensive touchdowns one by each team. Interception return for a touchdown earlier in the second quarter by Anthony Roberson four Palmer ridge. And then Andy Smith at fifty five yard fumble recovery. Took it to the house. Both teams now have one turnover. We talked about Palmer ridge coming into tonight's game. They had to take care of the ball. Ty. Evans eight interceptions entering tonight's contest. And he just basically had ripped right from his arms. That is a strip now strip sack because Evans was downfield running. But certainly a strip that von Miller would be proud of. As Smith just ripped it out of the arms of Evans and ran it back for a touchdown. So now, what are they marking off something? Apparently there was a penalty marriage. Yeah. So now homesteads going to get a kick it from the Palmer ridge forty five if he doesn't get it out of the back of the end zone, then might be a little bit of trouble here. This one is I think if you're if you're Pueblo south, you just try to do a little pooch puck, maybe let it hit the grass somewhere nights the free ball. Otherwise, he's got forty five yards. A kick it into the end zone. And there will do exactly that almost an onside kick. It is recovered though, it was caught in the air by Paul marriage. So not great execution, but Palmer ridge able to recover it. So they'll take over first and ten we didn't see any penalty called had to have been something that happened after the play was over to tack on so much so many yards, right? Yeah. After the PAT I didn't see any laundry on the field Ryan. But there was something that push the kickoff return all the way, basically onto Paula regicide. Talking about like. Swayne? Yeah. Rich, Paul ridge. Now. Seventy five yards to hit pay dirt. So bears moving left to right. Ty. Evans will once again be in the shotgun. He has a running back on his left hip. Takes a snap hill handed to them and the runner doesn't get much around the left side as let's see ten colds players. There was one that was in the defensive backfield the quarterback to state over on his field. The rest of the colts defenseless on that play. So four and a half minutes to go in the second quarter were back tied up at fourteen a pick six by Anthony Roberson in a strip and a TD for Andy Smith has this thing tied back up again on second down to be a hand off. And again Rafe rule without any room to run you'll get around the right side and gets up to the twenty five so bring up a manageable third down. But a third down. Nonetheless. Rules.

"Hand this went up, and who goes up the middle across the twenty-five in tackle just shy of the thirty. And now be enough for a public south first down. So a good run there by who. And now Pueblo south will ever I intend with the nose of the football on the twenty nine yard line. Pettitte and the colts to the line of scrimmage three wide receivers in on the play Connor who is glued to Logan pet. It's left hip. He'll take the snap handed to he dodges one tackler, but not the next two and they'll get across the thirty up to the thirty one. So that'll be a gain of three still bring up a third down a second down. Excuse me in long Charles de there on the tackle. We talk about Pueblo south there Owen three on the year. So far Ryan they come after a heartbreaking loss to discovery canyon. A couple of weeks ago. They've played some great competition. We'll get to that. After the snap. Three wide receivers in on the play second down and nine. Hi, snap pet. Pettit handles immediately handed off in Paul marriage. That high snap allowed the bears to read the play. And they got into the backfield in a hurry loss of two will bring up third and long. Yeah. The center to quarterback exchange is still a problem for the colts from our vantage point, and you can just see the ball being snapped. And it's kind of stops mid air doesn't have a lot of zip on it. And that's slowing down this colts offense, Pueblo south is coming in they played Holy Family, who's two and one on the year, eerie three and older defending. I guess I should say the runners up last year in the state championship. And the discovery canyon. They've played some great competition. So far this season. They'll have it. Third down and ten from the twenty nine pet. It takes a stamp looking nearside completes at across the thirty five and the second effort by the receiver gets Pueblo south. I believe enough for the first down making the catch was hunter fair and the referees conferring if in deciding whether they need a measurement by with our angle, and I'm right over the football from where I'm standing it. Sure looks like a first down that was the first completion of the game. So far for Pettit? Fair caught the ball about two yards behind where the chain was and this kind of effort it his way right close to it. And they're calling it a fourth about a nose of a football. Yeah. Not a great spot there. So it's fourth-down Pettit with the whole mmediately take it up the middle and on his second effort. He has enough for a first down. In fact, he's still on his feet and pushes his way up to the forty five. So they needed about two inches. Instead, they get nearly ten yards. And now a flag comes in. And I think this one's going to be gets Pueblo south as after the play because of course, it was just too big masses of humanity pushing pushing each other that pushing continued after the play which causes a flag come out. So we'll see you know, I say Pueblo south it looks like one of their players was the more demonstrative player. But usually in these situations, you would imagine the referees. Just say you know flag on publicized flag on Palmer ridge. Let's just call it. Good. And the call here personal foul against Pueblo south. And wow, they just give it to blow south. So apparently, whatever was done was a one way street. So give public south the first down. They still have a fresh set of downs. But then they move it. Fifteen yards back. So instead of I attended will be I at twenty five. Yeah. Instead of a new set of downs for Pueblo south after gaining that five yard gain. They're going to be pushed back from that v from that five yard gain. So basically Ryan a loss of about ten yards. But they still keep the ball and get a new fresh set of downs. No. I know call it first and ten all right. So be first and ten from the thirty. They were backed up in yards. I thought they were going to make it the first to five at any rate who gets to carry on first down gets nowhere. And now bring up second down and eleven seven thirty five to go here in quarter, number two. We're all tied up at seven JC sparks again the middle linebacker for Palmer ridge. We've called his name quite a bit tonight. He's getting into the backfield. Butler south will have to find a way to block that middle linebacker second and eleven ball on the Pueblo south twenty nine yard line pet. It takes a snap looking near side and throws it high and it picked off get back to the house. Touchdown bears picking it off was Anthony Roberson the second. And just like that Palmer ridge has gone back on top, pending the extra point they lead it thirteen to seven that was a high pass from Pettit that just fluttered in the air and Rogerson the leading receiver for Paul marriage. He has good hands. He was able to pick that one up and went touched the thirty yards. It took for him to get into the end zone. So Paul marriage will line up for the extra points. And the kick is right through. So was seven oh four to go in quarter. Number two Palmer rich has taken up a fourteen to seven lead. And now Pueblo south will go right back out on offense. I guess that's the silver lining is that you have a chance to immediately answer back, but not a good pass from Logan petted. And we talked about for Palmer is you can't turn over for public south. You can't you can't either. Because you don't know, you know, how many chances on offense you're gonna get especially at Palmer ridge continues to run the football and burn the clock. You can't wait squander these opportunities. Yeah. That pass by just a little too high for his intended receiver Anthony Roberson at the right spot at the right time. He's got to have a catch tonight. He's the leading receiver as you mentioned Ryan four now he has one now he has one and that's the touchdown. It's on defense. It's still counts. So now the ball has blown off the tees. So the Palmer rich kickoff to put it back on their Pueblo south awaits the kick back at their own ten. This is homecoming night here for Palmer ridge. And we've had some pretty fortuitous timing because not only a rehear for palm orig- is hoping coming tonight. We have found for Carson's homecoming net a week from tonight as they take on legend always liked to be here for the homecoming games is the kickoff goes out of the back of the end zone. And it will be brought out to the twenty. We'll see how public south response after the pick six and they trail by seven we'll timing on your part their program director. I just pick the games that I thought were pretty good. And then when I reach out to the schools are like, oh, by the way, this is our homecoming is all right. Well, all the all the better, I come here for the homecoming festivities to floats all the fun. You here today for the I'm assuming the per if they have a parade. Oh, probably be tomorrow. Yeah. Now where tonight they'll crown like the homecoming king, Wayne, and all that all that fun stuff. And do more activities tomorrow I in ten from the twenty hand off here on first down Pueblo south runner gets across the twenty up to about the twenty two. So a gain of two brings up second down and eight six fifty two to go in the second quarter, fourteen to seven Palmer ridge leads. We've got a player down Ryan four Palmer. Beg your pardon. Plus south. On his back. So we're trying to see who it is. It's one of the offensive lineman four Pueblo south that stayed down after the play was over. Yeah. And so as we mentioned next week will be in fountain as the found four Carson Trojans hosts legend. Should be a good one. Some five a football on the third week of football nine the springs presented by metro PCS. We've got their games and the Colorado Springs region, we're keeping an eye on tonight. Right there are there are actually quite a few. And we'll get those coming up at halftime in with. As a Pueblo audience tuned in we'll keep them updated as well. Of course, probably. One of the bigger games outside of this one. This week was actually played last night is discovery canyon knocked off Pueblo east. So it certainly game that pertains to both the bears and the colts. But it was discovery canyon. Getting a. Pretty big win Pueblo south Pueblo east, especially public east turning heads after what they were able to do picking off Ty Evans five times. Right. A couple of weeks ago discovery canyon. Of course, just be Pueblo south a couple of weeks ago and overtime forty two to forty one loss by a bloodless out loss by two point conversion in that overtime. It is Aaron Giron who is the player down for public south. The good news is that he is walking off field albeit gingerly but still under his own power. So with six forty eight to go in the second will resume play Pueblo has its second down and nine on their own Twenty-one, Logan Pettit? Once again in the shock on the only time he's been under centers when he's running a QB sneak four wide receivers on the play takes a high snap comes down with it. Steps up in the pocket. Boroughs. Nearside nearly picked off again. Roberston was right there. It was a carbon copy of the play where Roberston ran it. In for a pick six almost the same spot in the field to this time, though is unable to keep control of it deuce as they call him unable to make the play there and bring up third down. Yeah. Peds throwing dropping back taking about one or two steps and throwing to his left and this overthrowing intended receiver. And as a quarterback, that's sometimes tough to throw to your left as a right hander. Four wide receivers here on third down high snap to Pettit who again near in nearly picked off. They're trying to hit kind of a slant. Route on the near side this time four Palmer rage. It was Charles deeds. Who nearly picked it off it will land incomplete. And now Pueblo south will have to punt this ball away with six forty to go in the second quarter, Logan Pettit not getting done so far through the area's just one for eight. He's got an interception. Overthrowing his receivers? Katie Dudley will be the returner for Palmer Richie's back at his own forty olmstead will kick this one away. He's standing at his own tan own gets his left foot through this one not as impressive as a kick as we've seen from him. But it takes a little public southbound's in. We'll be down at the Palmer ridge forty two yard line. Well, maybe they save forty five. Maybe it was touched before we picked up by Pueblo south. So I intend four Palmer ridge. They have a seven point lead Anthony Roberson with a pick six is the difference in this game right now. Yeah. In the nose of the football will be on the bear forty five yard line. So about the best field position. Ty. Evans in this offense has had in this game. This is a big defensive possession here for the colts. You don't wanna get this game out of hand here in the second quarter, Evans Sanmen emotion. He's in the shotgun hill have three wide receivers on the play hands. This one off the rule comes around the nearside excuse me. That is Noah Brahma who gets the Kerry and Brahm around the right side gets into public south territory down to the Colt forty seven. That's the first rush for Brahms so far tonight. He's the second leading rusher for the bears coming into the night's game. Averaging just under four point six yards per carry Evans in the shotgun has a running back on either side of him. He also has two wide receivers in on the play. He'll send a man out of the backfield in motion hands. This one off on first down will be the same ball carrier Brom. This time will only get a couple, and it will bring up that's enough for a first down. Ryan was just short on that last down got your heightened yards. So new set of downs here for the for the for the bears. So I intend ball on the Pueblo south forty three yard line Evans in the shotgun with three wide receivers. Takes a snap. L Hannah's went off to rule and Rafe is gobbled up in the backfield by three Pueblo south colts leading the charge on that play was Mario Ramirez. He was behind the line of scrimmage before the runner. Even got the ball. And it'll be a loss of three breeze of second down in thirteen ball now on the cold forty six yard line. Call it the forty seven actually. Evans with four wide receivers. Three to the left. One of the right has a back on his right? Head. Takes a shotgun. Snap waste. I now. Look into run still look into Ryan. And now he breaks out across the forty balls. And now the ball is stripped away south is going to take the distance. All the way into the end zone. Eight fifty five.

"Presented by metro PCS. I am Ryan Kaufman. My broadcast partner Ryan pelton will be joining me shortly to see a match up between two defending champions is something you normally only see him, boxing, MMA or pro wrestling. But tonight that is exactly what we have is the defending champion. Palmer ridge bears host the defending champs Pueblo south colts bowl teams are now together in class three. A and only one will be able to hoist a gold ball at the end of the season. This is also a matchup between two teams and very different places after winning a state championship on one side. You have the bears who have their three headed offense a monster in Ty, Evans, Rafe rule and Anthony Roberson back for another go round. Those three accounted for sixty three touchdowns in two thousand seventeen and formed. The most prolific offense in the state of Colorado, which went thirteen and yet many are doubting Tom poll. For his team because of their to and to start while it is true that they already have two more losses than they did all of last year. There are two losses. Have come to the second ranked team in class four a pine creek and the top five ranked team in three Pueblo east. This offense is still prolific and they'll be looking to prove that tonight. On the other side. Pueblo south is starting over to a certain extent, they're leading passer Zach causa Lino and his forty eight touchdowns graduated every receiver that caught a touchdown in two thousand seventeen is gone to same can be said for the leading rusher. Steve Brock in his fourteen touchdowns in two thousand seventeen. But this team does have plenty of talent led by junior quarterback, Logan Pettit. It just needs some more time to develop they've gone through some growing pains and have started Owen three out of the gate. But in their last game, they took a top five ranked team in discovery canyon to overtime showing that this team has made a little bit more than just incremental improvements over the first month of the season tonight. Always their biggest test against the prolific offense and a stout defence. Coming up next. I catch up with south head coach Ryan Goddard. What's the most difficult thing about coaching defending champion? He will tell you next as the football night in the springs pre-game show, presented by back. East bar and grill continues next on extra sports thirteen hundred and extra sports thirteen hundred dot com come into.

"House party thrown by his teammate russell westbrook i bet that was just nothing but hop wit locked you give russ credit for george stain no kc is there anyone else to give it to maybe maybe it announcement a bank made the announcement of also westbrook's house who else will give them credit for we've sent here and her no one wants to play with russell westbrook you think he's easier to play with you said no one wants to play with russell westbrook paul george just decided to play witty the brian james who who i love and respect kyrie irving didn't wanna play with him and paul george apparently he all george didn't wanna play with it how do we know paul george heard the colli news and thought i don't wanna be a third wheel on the lakers that's not possible was it was he didn't want to go day forty extra million doesn't what he had to get like the lakers could have given him like eight million less like one twenty nine over four versus one thirty seven over four so i don't think it was a financial decision i do think you have to give credit i mean how many times does george have to say it for us to believe me he loved point he talked about the friendship i think that was a huge part of the friendship the trust he developed with westbrook and look if it was just about okay i can't go to the lakers and be third option the he could have looked at other teams will about philly would have been i still think he missed an opportunity to go to philadelphia where been when it first or second score here's raw give westbrook credit recruiting is about love mark richt coaches miami hurricanes i was talking to him about recruiting one time and he said listen whether i'm in georgia miami just got the players i love you we need you you're really needed here and i do think okay see and westbrook really made paul feel like man and i think they're right we really want you to be part of this as players are you got to you love was was big you wanna play every every player wants to play with a guy like russell westbrook great players wanna play with great players it's not this making your job easier which you wanna play with great players and i think they had a lot to do with it because he's the mvp one the best players in the league they can grow they can get to the final together and i think paul george understand it look what other reason is there to stay in oklahoma city this do grew up out here in california he lived in one of the best eighties in america indianapolis for a number all and he chose to stay in oklahoma city that's gotta be russell westbrook and it's given me hope that we're going to see a little different version of russell westbrook moving forward to how do i know well so westbrook last year had to play nice because he wanted to keep him he didn't play any difference ariza trees down he russ play all game here's the thing look paul george had his best catch and shoot year ever best percentage from forty from three point line defensively that team with anthony roberson or andre roberson well we'll hold on their starting five with roberson mellow westbrook of george and stephen adams was analytically one of the best starting fives in the league or one of the best five men units in the league so i'm not saying they're gonna win the championship i don't think they can win a championship i think though they can be in the mix to maybe get to the conference finals here or there but certainly be one of those teams that's fighting for the second round and be a tough team in the way it's hard when you have a shooting for that you can hack shack and saying he can't shoot to kill you but the fact that they had a year together the fact that mellows coming back i think they all realize the the sacrifices they have to make now to be great because i don't think the coaches there that they need but i think as a team and those three guys think really they're not gonna ice mellow why not cut bait with mel you wash utah series i.

"Be part of this as play as you got to you love was was but you wanna play every every player wants to play with a guy like russell westbrook great players wanna play with great players isn't that this making your job easier but you wanna play with great players and i think they had a lot to do with it because he's the mvp one the best players in the league they can grow they can get to the final together and i think paul george understand it look what other reason is there to stay in oklahoma city this do grew up out here in california he lived in one of the best as in america indianapolis for a number all and he chose to stay in oklahoma city that's gotta be russell westbrook and it's given me hope that we're going to see a little different version of russell westbrook moving forward to how do i know oh lord russell westbrook last year had to play nice because he wanted to keep him he didn't play any difference ariza triggs heap russ play oh here's the thing look paul george had his best catch and shoot year ever best percentage from forty from three point line defensively that team with anthony roberson or andre roberson well we'll hold on their starting five with roberson mellow westbrook of george and stephen adams was analytically wanted a best starting fives in the league or one of the best five men units in the league so i'm not saying they're gonna win a championship i don't think they can win a championship i think though they can be in the mix to maybe get to the conference finals here or there but certainly be one of those teams that's fighting for the second round and be a tough team in the west is hard when you have a shooting for that you can hack shack he can't shoot to kill you but the fact that they had a year together the fact that mellows coming back i think they all realize the the sacrifices they have to make now to be great because i don't think the coaches there that they need but i think as a team and those three guys i think really they're not going to isis mellow why not cut bait with mel utah series i mean westbrook emotionally unraveled what's changed that they loss sometime as you learn from pain and losing and then just this whole recruiting process will paul george surely there were discussions about how can we win here because the way we went at it last year didn't work i expected i know i'm stubborn and i'm i'll be proven along maybe i expect russell westbrook to make some adjustments and he and paul george to work better what kind of judgment just share the ball ovid more not jack up so many artery ways to smart three this is the best teacher pilots return to la we'll lebron's decision to join the lakers just shifted the entire balance of the nba while the west has been the association's dominant conference for several years the bronze presence in the east had balanced it out but with lebron heading west the competitive imbalance has recent absurd proportion with almost all the best players now concentrated in one conference coward is this bad for the nba actually do think it's lopsided i don't think the dynasties bad because dynasties are good for ratings and everybody tries to attack the dynasty i don't think dynasties are problems here's an issue think about this in the east right now if just one player joel embiid who has a history of injuries he played sixty four games if he got hurt next year there's no i mean it's literally the celtics and yoenis what what would you have in the conference sports about interesting ben simmons is interesting jaundice is interesting the.

"Thought i'd rather be a to a three and possibly four is very possible however he also could look they go now he would have been a three but he could've looked going to philadelphia or houston but particularly philadelphia because even though he may have been three maybe he would have been the second or even possibly the first leading score agree you know so i'm just saying look would i rather play with lebron james or westbrook i rather pay lebron james everybody in the world more players have shown plane with lebron than with russell westbrook carrier wien and now paul george didn't wanna do it and you who who is shunned play with westbrook durant stay nine years with westbrook so i'm just saying is this what your sources are telling you this is this is these are facts we can't just say kevin durant left over you paul george literally made the decision he did we know one thing about paul policy wants to win championships he ain't winning championships not oklahoma okay so i'm gonna trust poll on his words paula set i want to win championships i don't think i can win win indy so paul made a decision i'm wrong on the money then what you're saying money not money money so he made the decision it's easier to win titles in la with lebron no in rural oklahoma city with westbrook you think that's a good decision no well here's what i said about paul george going into the weekend when it looked like he might stay i said if he does stay i would be impressed because he saying i believe russell in i can get it done they can't but he believes it and i like that there's something honorable about wanting to climb the mountain and not wanting to stack team and lebron's going to he's not going to a stack team so there's some honorable about that however i said i don't understand why in the world george would stay l as a better city you're from there you got a better chance to win championships by the way the lakers have picks one year contrast at young and improving players oklahoma city is trap for the next three years they can't do anything there mile over the cap then all these one year deals they don't have the the flexibility of the lakers they don't have a bunch of young improving players mellows old adams established westbrook established paul george you're what you're gonna be good the to win a championship they're going to be good well you don't think the lakers are gonna be good lakers will be good to who's going to be better this year that's a great question i will go with lebron and the lakers wrong really it's not a guarantee it's not no it's not lebron team hall their starting five of westbrook paul george carmelo anthony anthony roberson as stephen adams was one of the best starting fives in the league statistics how many balls they play with 'cause you only have to play with one that five was one of the best aren't five now the lakers i'm saying they'll be better the lakers what i would like to if they win fifty three games and have homecourt advantage in the first round if this is the team they go to battle with and maybe julius randle van that would be impressive and lebron the bride actually may have a better chance of winning mvp award this upcoming i can't even billy has i cannot okay sick around here i cannot believe what you're saying you don't think oklahoma city is going to be fighting phone quarter vantage carmelo's off a cliff westbrook wears down because of his playing style by the playoffs he's done we've seen it two years in a row rovers can't shoot stephen adams can't shoot and paul george never been good in the clutch i'm going to be in the fight for hocquart advantage you defend okay see okay just stick around chris bruce our next to her when shopping for car insurance consider geico's been saving people money on it for seventy five years go to geico dot com after seventy five years.

"The kid is accurate even throw longing those short routes um although he's mobile he can he can run it win need be um but that's the thing about palmer does that they're not one dimensional that when you add thai throwing the ball they can also pitch out to anthony roberson or array rule and they can work the edges that way or they showed they can throw little underneath passes and move the way up the field lives the most impressive thing i saw them do was against berthod um it was i think i want to say like thirty five seconds to halftime and they were up twenty one to seven and they wanted to be up twenty eight seven and tied just through about six excellent 10yard passes right to appoint on the sideline one step they're out stopped the clock same thing they literally ran the play like this one two one two one two one two all the way down the end zone it was it was a thing of beauty they truly was um and so they have that dynamic with them but if it doesn't work they can handed off to anthony roberson they can handed off rave role and they've got running ability to move round they've got good alignment and they have a couple of good guys on our defense that they can they can keep teams to less than fourteen points maybe less than twenty one points and that's probably a good number considering how much palmer edged a score at we talked about this when the playoffs started i think the only thing that was really going to derail palmer h would have been the weather if you're dealing with snow winding cold and all of a sudden it's a little bit tougher for those receiver skype all too little bit tougher for tied a grip the ball i'm not saying it to guarantee that they lose i just think it would it would be tougher for them but forecast loose go for tomorrow so i think i think it's gonna be a tall task for yary would impede that's what i was gonna ask i mean if the if the.
