"Least a team that could rival the dodgers for who knows a decade common fundamentally. Not that much has changed except that the padres have had a really lousy couple months. I suppose they started the season. Sixty six forty nine. They were flying high like things. Were going okay. And then the wheels fell off and yeah. The arms fell off and this is what happens. So yeah i would think that. Obviously there's gonna be some bitterness and disappointment and padres fans have waited a long time to see young exciting and talented padres team. So it's a big bummer. To see how this season has gone but does that you have to clean house. Obviously were not air. So we're not seeing what is exactly happening. We're just speculating from afar. Based on the results but there is still so much talent to on that team end where they're rumors and rumblings and mutterings about tingler when the team was winning maybe maybe they just weren't loud enough to become a public like it's it's tough because he is a manager in his first full season his first non pandemic shortened season. And this is a team where andy green who seemed like a smart guy was reportedly losing the clubhouse his job and then tinkler comes in and instead of sort of the established manager who has managed before who has played in the big leagues. And has that cachet next to his name. Pickler was kind of unknown. And so maybe he is heard to earn that respect than maybe he has not earned it from everyone but again i doubt his job would be in jeopardy if the padres still had an intact pitching staff and add continued contending this year so is he not the guy. Does this prove he is not the guy who can take the padres to the promised. Land at no. They were pretty good for the first year under tinkler. So i'm inclined to chalk this up more too short handedness than to tinkler but who knows without being there. It's tough to say and if people involved her considering changes than presumably. There is some rationale for that. Yeah i think he did sort of step up and save tattoos from getting a check kids right because yes started when teddy's was complaining about a call and he struck out and anglers inserted himself and got ejected for arguing balls and strikes and spared totti's from getting ojected. Which is the right move. That's what the manager should do in that situation and then machado was like. Hey don't make this about you. It's about the team like got to stay in the game and everything and maybe that is a useful corrective coming from a veteran leader soil. Again like neither of them is necessarily in the wrong. They're both frustrated. And sometimes that causes bashes usually those cautious curve in the clubhouse right and behind closed doors out of sight of prying eyes and had we never talk about it until someone brings it up in a biography or something decades exactly. Yeah i think that that's all right. Well that's the sad story of the padras. Sorry patriots vince Things will look up for you. I'm sure it's probably gonna be fine next year. Yeah like i think that's a good thing to remember. And you get to live in san diego like you know. That's that's a strong plus in the plus column. And i did want to just salute another team that is in playoff position. Now atlanta still holding on to that and l. east top spot and we didn't really give alexander topless a a ton of credit for shifting that entire outfield at the deadline. But that is really worked out. Like yeah sure has those were low profile moves than we are busy talking about trade turner and max scherzer and all these major moves and i think we mentioned taste. The braves avenue outfield. Now basically so but it seemed like maybe you shuffling deckchairs in that outfield. Not that that team was entirely out of it but they weren't exactly bringing superstars necessarily but i was thinking of this in the past few days because of course eddie. Rosario one of the players they acquired just hit for the cycle on five pitches which i saw. According to jeremy frank on twitter is the fewest pitches on record in a cycle. So that's kind of cool. And then adam duvall hit an absolute monster shadow. A four hundred eighty three foot homerun. So i had occasion to think kate good job. Alexander topless for not replacing a kunia or osuna or or the guys that they didn't have on hand that they expected to but doing pretty darn decent job of pan those holes because so much of it is about. Hey just don't play jake. Arrieta don't play the replacement player and instead these guys have hit entering tuesday. They have had. Adam duvall who has a one twenty-one. Ps plus they have jorges layer. Who has a one twenty four o. Ps plus and then they have rosario who in more limited playing time has sit even better one ninety eight pius plus the only one who hasn't really performed tall that well as jack petersen eighty one but he hasn't been horrible if you combined them into some outfield voltron. They just got themselves a pretty productive players. You combine them. That's like probably one of the biggest impact combined two players that any teammate at the deadline obviously they have needed everyone to hold off the phillies so kudos to braves for not sitting on their hands. Because at the time. I remember there was even some sentiment like. Oh they're still going for it. You know it like oh maybe they could just throw in the towel here regroup for next year and clearly. They didn't see it that way and they were right not to see it that way. Maybe they just understood that division is totally crazy and if they just tried a little bit they'd be in it that's the way it has worked out worked out for them and also just wanted to salute. Anthony goes for being back in the big lakes because we've been waiting and kind of keeping our eye on him for a while now as he finally made it back as a pitcher now so we can't do a amita major leaguer because he has been a nuclear before but it's a a new and improved or his completely different anthony ghosts not the tigers and bluejays lousy hitter of two thousand twelve to two thousand sixteen but the pitcher who reinvented himself in twenty seventeen and has been slowly working his way back to the big leagues and made it up this week with cleveland. The touch triple digits and looked pretty decent. So congrats on the career. Reinvention always nice to see a two way player. Even if he weren't doing the two ways at the same time draft him in the minor.

"See podcast network. I'm your host. Kevin mahalick appreciate you guys tuning in. It is monday. September twentieth two weeks away from the end of the regular season for major league baseball and a lot left to happened. A lot to talk about with you guys taking place over the weekend. So let's dive right into it here in our fourth and final segment. First off the first thing to discuss is eddie. Rosario hit for the cycle for the atlanta braves. This past sunday in their game against the san francisco giants. But what made this cycle. Even more impressive is than resort. Rio did so while only seeing five total pitches to hit for that cycle. Of course the cycle is a single double triple home run on the same game. So he got four. Hits on only five pitches. He didn't work to count. he didn't work the at bat. He saw what he wanted early on and took advantage of it. According to baseball reference database. It is the fewest number of pitches seen by a player who hit for the cycle since at least nine thousand nine hundred ninety rosario hit and oh one double in the second inning. Hey first pitch triple in the fifth inning a first pitch home run in the seventh inning and then a first pitch single in the ninth inning. So he didn't wait around. He wasn't walking. He wasn't striking out. He said i'm going up there with a plan. And i'm going to get after it was certainly impressive hitting for the cycle. After seeing just five total pitches. Rosario became the second braves player to hit for the cycle. This season joining freddie freeman. Who accomplished the feat just a month ago on august. Eighteenth against the marlins and the only other players in major league baseball to hit for the cycle this year or trey turner and drake cronin worth turner during his time with the nationals. I believe may have been in. La can't remember that my head. But jake cronin worth with the padres so it goes to show only four cycles have been hit this year and we've had what nine no hitters thrown so about half as likely to see a cycle then even a no hitter so far this season but it was a huge producer for their game against the giants the braves ultimately winning by a score of three to nothing and what was a game they needed after losing the first two to the giants out there in san francisco but rosario and his nineteen games since joining the braves is slashing three twenty. Three seventy five seven forty. He almost as as many home runs with five as strikeouts as he only has six strikeouts. He has been a key reason why they've been able to replace the production of okunola junior and osuna him so layer and duval have certainly been stellar out there in the for the braves but resort an extremely impressive feat hitting for the cycle and just five pitches on sunday for the braves. Also on sunday we saw shohei ohtani returned to the mountains and he was excellent once again despite having his scheduled start against the oakland a.'s. Push back a couple of days to arm soreness. And at that point we had read some reports that we may not see him pitch again. This year we actually saw tani returned to the mound and he was sharp on sunday. He struck out ten guys over eight strong innings to help solidify a front runner position for that. Mvp award in the american league otani did give up a pair of solo home runs and was stuck with a no decision before the angels fell three two two in ten innings in the series finale. Otani came up just short in his quest for his tenth victory but his line is a pitcher now stands at nine and two with eight three two eight and one hundred forty six strikeouts in one hundred in twenty three innings over the course of twenty two starts angels manager. Joe madden said. He did beautifully. He competed again. He started missing bats again. He had pretty much everything working. Today he gave up two homers otherwise he was outstanding. It was really well done so otani again. He opened up. The game is fast ball touch ninety nine miles an hour in the first inning which was nice to see. After he had lost some velocity his past couple of outings. People were worried about his physical health. He would be able to pitch once again. He went back out for the eighth inning. When he was at ninety pitches loaded the basis with one out but was able to get out of it with a pop up in strikeout to escape the jam so otani again eight strong innings after we thought we may not see him on the mound here once again. It was certainly nice to see an outing like that from the potential american league. Mvp award winner also had a nice moment in cincinnati. Compliments of mookie. Betts i mean the dodgers right fielder just gets it right. In the bottom of the sixth-inning reds pinch hit or tj. Friedel hit the first pitch for lever. Tony got someone into the right field seats. The home run was fritos first. Big-league hit and right after that bats went to the fan who caught the home run in the stands and he could be seen communicating with them and kind of bargaining right. It looked like he was trying to get the ball back for free on the kid to get his first hit and get the baseball now. Ultimately the fan did toss the ball down to the fields. And you thought to yourself. Hey it's his first hit. Maybe mook he's just saying. Throw me the ball. We gotta get it back. Gotta give it to the kid but ultimately the next half inning. When bets ran back out to right he brought a baseball bat with him so he traded a signed baseball bat to the guy who caught the home run ball just so a guy on the reds could have his first major league hit and get the ball and be able to take it home so bets. Doing something nice for somebody on the other team is just absolutely fantastic and it was great to see once again. Mookie is the man who plays with them says they enjoy him as a person and just a guy who gets it out there. As traded a fan of bats to ultimately get that baseball back for the kid on the reds to have himself a memoir for the rest of his life you also had a suspension handed out in major league baseball and major league baseball levied eight. Three game suspension against white sox. Mike right for attention throwing at shohei ohtani over the past game sin. You had manager tony. Larussa was given a one game suspension. Larussa impressively this is ninety first ejection of his career. The suspension stems from a three pinch incident in which right badly missed on consecutive balls and then eventually plucking otani in the leg with his third offering right has appealed the suspension so he will be available adult on if it will remain at three games if it will be shorten but overall you guys have heard me say this you get one chance to throw it a got. I don't care what happened the day before the game before the week before. Whatever you're dealing with out there but you don't get three opportunities you can't miss with two pitches and then hit the guy on the third. Okay just you get one right and if you miss you miss it's over move on you're done with so it becomes extremely obvious about intense and that you were clearly trying to hit the batter at that point. When it's the third offering that ultimately plunk him in the leg so i certainly understand the suspensions. I think they're going to stand. I don't think that they will. The appeal will be held. And they'll be shortened here in any way another feel-good story here. The cleveland indians are selecting. The contract of outfielder turn pitcher. Anthony ghosts as first reported by the indians here. The left-hander will be appearing in the majors for the first time since twenty six team and the first time ever as a pitcher ghosts who is now thirty one years old was a two way star in high school and two second round draft pick by the phillies back in two thousand and eight..

"And david robertson completed the five hit one run affair against the dominican republic so japan and korea were then facing off where japan won by a score of five to two so japan has yet to lose a game here at the olympics in this basically sent korea to face off against the usa so the usa defeated the dominican republic. They were gonna face the loser of the korea. Japan game ultimately being korea and then. The usa won by a score over korea seven to two so. The usa advances to the gold medal game by defeating korea. Seven to two with a five run bottom half of the sixth inning. Being the difference the score was two to one heading to the bottom of the sixth and the usa had themselves a big inning once again on the mound joe ryan for the usa four and a third allowing only one run Rider ryan one and two third scoreless. Scott mcgauchie one third of three hits one run anthony ghosts and anthony carter combined to finish off that score by a final of seven to two so once again. We have the bronze-medal game tomorrow. Friday friday evening between the dominican republic in korea and then the gold medal match up between the usa in japan. Taking place saturday morning so. The usa made it difficult on themselves by blowing. That lead. japan but bounceback victories over the dominican republic as well as south korea puts them right in the gold medal match up in a rematch against japan. Where the winner will take goal. So who's been performing for team usa when it comes to the offensive side of things. Tyler austin is the big winner for the usa. He's sitting four twenty nine. He is nine for twenty one with two home runs. Three doubles seven. Rbi's so he's doing a bit of everything for team usa and you also have a tristen casas. He's only hitting to sixty three but he has three home runs in a double as he has five for nineteen and he's the team leader with eight. Rb is so out of the twenty eight. Rbi's eight of them for casas. Seven for tyler. Austin are the two big names offensively. How are some of the other guys doing some names. you may recognize. Well todd frazier. He's struggling a bit. He is only three for seventeen in the tournament. he does have two doubles. He sit in one seventy six. You have bubba starling hidden to eighty six eddie alvarez to fifty eric phileas two fifty mark close vary hitting to thirty five jamie westbrook to twenty two jack lopez one eighty two in nick allen hitting one seventy six offensively so us as a team hitting two forty seven with a four thirty four. Slugging percentage and tyler austin and tristen casas doing a lot of the heavy lifting for the team. Usa when it comes to on the mount how we doing out the pitching staff going on here. Well you got some good and some not so good but overall the pitching has been fantastic for team usa anthony. Ghosts has yet to lower yet to allow a run in four appearances over five and a third innings edwin. Jackson has made two appearances. He's allowed one unearned run. It was the extra inning run against japan for zero point. Zero zero. era are though he was saddled with the only loss for team usa. You have scott kasmir again. Who made the one start five scoreless innings in fantastic outing for scott kasmir ryan writer. Who has one no. With three appearances in four innings. He's been excellent out of the bullpen. You have joe ryan. Who started two games for team usa. He's gone ten and a third innings allowing two runs on nine hits so he is one no with a one seven four. Era the other starter. Nick martinez he went five innings allowing one run for a one eight zero era. So the starting pitching for the. Us has fantastic. You had casimir. Go five scoreless. Nick martinez five only allowing one run. And then joe ryan started the other two games allowing two runs over the course of ten minutes now on the top end of the bullpen. Some of the bullpen is struggle david robertson. He's allowed two runs in three innings for a six era. You have shane by as allowing two runs into an two thirds for a six seven. Five and anthony carter to runs in and a third innings for seven seven one. Era but the team era for team usa over the course of forty five and one third innings is two point one eight so the pitching has really been the carrier for the usa. Say they've been excellent and just only allowing eleven runs over the course of forty five innings forty six strikeouts to only twelve walks as a staff again. Joe ryan he's been fantastic eight strikeouts only one walk so the starters there now. I don't know who lines up to start the gold medal game. If it's joe ryan i assume it will be if not. It's certainly looks like nick. Martinez would be next on the line. Or scott casimir would be the two guys potentially pegged to start so looking at some of the other lineups. Let's look at the dominican republic. No they had a few ex major leaguers on their squad. So let's look at how they've been performing so far this year or this tournament for the olympics. You have jose batista. He's hitting one forty three. He is only two for fourteen with one double in one in three total basis. So he's been struggling for the dominican republic. You have milio bonifazio. Only hit in one fifty four as he is too for thirteen on the tournament. So the dominican republic as a team only hidden their offense as certainly let them down even though they're playing for the bronze-medal on the pitching side of things again. They've gotten some good outings. A couple of starts angel sanchez. On hill sanchez scoreless over five innings rove vow dez. One run over five and a third and then you have danielle radius. Who's giving up two runs over four and two thirds innings as well from the starting pitching side of things so a team. Era of three five six for the dominican republic looking at israel who's been standing out for israel as they overachieved by winning a game earlier in the tournament. Shoutout to mitch glasser. He went seven of seventeen hidden. Four twelve as well as ryan lavarnway hitting three fifty seven for twenty during the tournament. Here so a nice tournament for them and then looking at japan's roster as we face off against japan in the gold medal game who are some of the names to watch out for. You have takia kyw. Hit and five hundred. He's five for ten high jato sakamoto hitting three eighty nine seven for eighteen.

usa south korea japan joe ryan dominican republic Tyler austin tristen casas david robertson Nick martinez Rider ryan Scott mcgauchie anthony carter todd frazier Rbi bubba starling eddie alvarez eric phileas jamie westbrook jack lopez

"So when someone walks in with a doctor's coat on, we automatically create a story narrative around the qualities, and the traits abilities of that person methodical. They're careful in their details. Are three of the typical qualities that we attribute to a doctor smart, intellectual driven all those other ones could be can be there as well. Well, it turns out that if you were to put on a doctor's coat yourself. You actually unconsciously. Adopt the traits of the doctor or the lab, the personnel app where you will actually start to act more methodical careful and detailed. And this was proven out in a great study that was done at the Kellogg school of management where they brought a bunch of students into a room and they had them ever seen that I test, where it has the word of color. But then it's colored differently than. So it's like the word is read, but then it's colored in blue and orange is in yellow and so forth. And so they have all these words out there and you have to go through and say the word without making mistake, and what they do is they time you to see how quickly can get through all the words and they track how many mistakes you make. So they brought in all these students and they had them do this test, then they leave and bringing another group of students, and they hand them a white coat, and they tell him into painters coat into put it on, and then they do the test. They track the results, and then they bring in a third group, and this time they tell him to put on the white coat. But this time it's a lab coat or a doctor's coat. Same white is they'll previous one and they do the test. So what are the results? Well, the people who wore the lab coat. Doctor's coat. They did the test in less than half the time and made less than half the mistakes as the other two groups. Why is that because of what I just said they adopted the traits of being more careful methodical and detailed, which are qualities that helped win help you with that specific task. No. When you had the painters coat on while painters coat you. Adopt the traits of being more creative imaginative and expressive. Those are three qualities that don't help you with that specific task. But when they flip the tasks, and this time they gave them a creative test. The people were the painters, coat will their results went up and the people in the lab coat doctors could on there's fell down to the mean so this is just one example of, you know, win were one. We're trying to find that told him that artifact that talisman whatever it might be is we can. That's the great thing about humans, we can infuse the meaning into it. So when I put on those glasses those glasses meant to me, the qualities of being confident, articulate and decisive three qualities that I was lacking at the time, but what the, the secondary part of that, which adds even more power? This is when you put on that talisman or that artifact or that told him whatever it is, or you use something or you step into the idea of your alter ego, whatever. Whoever it is you want to honor them. And so, you know, Anthony when he's going onto the basketball court, and we talked this through is like, you know, if you're going out there truly is Anthony ghost..

"And then just like Cary grant's quote, I ended up becoming the person that I most wanted to be. And that's what my Martin Luther King, did he put on those glasses and he called it his distinguished self. And when he was when he sat down to do his writing. That's what he did. He put on glasses so that he could say the things he needed to say in an eloquent way, so that he could inspire non-violent action. And you know, that's so powerful because those glasses as a reference point became, just like shield to the more sensitive self and that disassociation really powerful in. So when you take a look at Anthony, when he went out there as Anthony ghost. No, that's what he was doing. He was now, wearing a different Cape, for himself to protect that more soft soft-centred individual. And then when it got off the court, he could maybe sink back into himself, but then just like everybody else you end up finding these other gears and that you didn't even realize that were there. And that's, that's the Superfund part right now is the messages that I get on Instagram or Facebook from people that are like, man. This has been such a phenomenal experience to rediscover. Actually, what I'm about instead of this person that I've been hiding inside of for such a long time. So it's, it's so powerful because any was getting back to your point like it's that it's that safety and security that, when you're going out there on performance, the performance side of things is now in, in most people's view lost. And, and now they, you know, shirk from the, the, the action or the field of play. Gotcha. So how, how does somebody like switch into the alter ego? I mean, it it's one thing to kind of map out what the alter ego is and say, these are the characteristics that I want and I know you mentioned like putting on the glasses. Are there other ways that people can like actually slip into this alter ego or is it as simple as like when I when I wear this? I come this person. Well, I mean, the most powerful. So I talk about in chapter fourteen tokens and artifacts and. And how we activate alter ego, and it's not there as, like a cute idea. I mean in the book on pack ton of the science behind how all this works again. It's a big part of my business. I'm not getting people. You know, cotton candy and bubble gum drops. Yeah. It's well it's my great frustration with the personal development world. Is that a lot of people who write books aren't practitioners? They're not people who working people face to face and tell us to Toews, and they're and that, and that's really, really important because only in the working people one on one. And I know that both of you have had businesses where you've worked with people one on one on the craft of something and, you know, there is there is a lot of missing nuance when you work in a group format, because a group bias or group think that happens. So when someone sitting at twenty Robbins seminar and Tony says, how many of us this idea and because some people just wanna touch cloth and impress the person raised their hand, and so now you feel like left out idiot. If you don't raise your hand, and so everyone's raising their hand and meanwhile, you're sitting there going at that actually worked for me. And this is actually how we retrained as kids in school. So carrying that throughout life now probably. Because again, we want to stay a part of the tribe. Sure. And, and so for the longest time, there's so much. Any paradigm that lived inside of the personal Valmet leadership and self help world, that don't work. They as someone who has been face to face with people where I'm paid to help people perform. If I tried it out a lot of those ideas, I wouldn't have a business in the end because they don't work. And so, you know with the totems artifacts wearing something as the most powerful form of activating, because we have this psychological phenomenon called enclosed, cognition. That's embedded in us, which means that we as human beings attached story in meaning to the things that we wear, and that other people wear..

They don't think probably get like thirty percent capacity every game and twenty eight percent of it's gotta be the away team because everyone's just there on vacation and I travel with the team up to trap here. And I don't understand why they don't even have a retractable roof in Florida. I know I know you gotta protect from some natural disaster. Not they brutally hot in the summer in Florida. It is one hundred degrees at same reason. Arizona has a track Miami Miami's, but it should be retractable because you're going to get some really nice days out in Florida. I mean, I know it's going to get into tripled. It is going to be some really hot days names are gorgeous. Yeah. You should you should be able to have the option to open or close the roof down in Florida. I mean, come on. It's definitely not visually appealing. Yeah. And you always got TV. It's terrible. Yeah. On the catwalk is is disgusting. Yeah. When he played with the tires like four balls at the cat. She's going to mention that you get those high fly balls like off the catwalk. I mean, there's the stingrays out in the outfield. That's the only thing you you ever see like when you're watching the Tigers play the race. For example, you know, cutback in between innings or show, you know, whoever's reporting down by the stingrays because that's all really there is to show in Tampa. You know, you guys are too young for this one. But I've been to tiger stadium. Okay. I may have been six months old. Was there? And I just remember all man what a day that was Bobby Higginson on three for four cat. I was a baby. I'm sorry. Colleague shoemaker. She has a thought on this as well. And she wants to make it clear. This is actually Colleen shoemaker Mike shoemaker, you're not taking your wife's account this week. That is good. Okay. What do you have to say? Colleen I like progressive, but it will always be Jacob fields Jacobs Field to me, excuse me. Hey, that's the former name of what is now known as progressive field. You see the next to this is truly Colleen that is what I said. I mean are we buying? It though is my question. Yeah. Why not? Yeah. I'm buying that. I just wanted to make sure there was no sarcasm in that. I believe it. I'm not buying it. That's my that's my shoemaker come on now. All right. We got a little two to one vote in favor of Colleen on this one. Thank you for the comment. There are lines have been drives. We gotta get some callers in here. We got the number eight hundred nine two three nine three eight five that's eight hundred three nine three eight five. Come on, folks. What's the ugliest ballpark bet you what's the best ballpark that she bed to the time sides bring a weird here tonight. But next week will be from seven to nine PM. The Wayne State warriors had a huge win some problems with the the system back here at work. Yeah. But it's just another day at the office. Folks. We'll be back at seven o'clock next week. We got about fifteen minutes to get your phone calls at your comments on Facebook Miami's disgusting to Sam would beg to differ. I agree. I thought how could you think Miami check ballpark? I know. I didn't I didn't like the experience in Miami. But I think it would have been better if they opened the roof up I let let some sunlight into their. They got a lot of things to block a with it wasn't too hot outside. So you like the disgusting. Whatever. Often flying like that. But I know I hate the telling me like that. Where would you make it in your top five? Just. Offended nine ish. Ballparks? I would say, yeah. It'd probably falls around five. And I mean, I I think target field is my least favorite that I've been to so get your least beautiful. I think I think it was a nice stadium. But I just there's nothing about it that really caught my eye, and I'm looking at I'm looking at this website right here, saying ten parks to avoid at all costs number time was Comerica park. Yeah. Well, client number nine minute maid park. Okay. Well, there's no extractions around the what like the angel stadium at number eight new these are all ones we mentioned. Yeah. This evan. There's model. Okay park. What is this a circuit other source? I don't know if this is by some of these are correct though, I will say Roger center Luc bender Roger centre-right every every stadium. That's got a retractable roof is gross. A given. Yeah. Guys. We we forgot big one. We forgot go White Sox stadium guaranteed rate field. I'm so used to sell your aggressor. They're moving out of their ballpark. I believe you're shortly. Good. I've heard things about it. I can't speak on personally. So I don't know. Maybe Ben there, Luke I was there back in. I believe two thousand seven with during the, you know, Paul kinetico AJ Brzezinski era. That was some good White Sox won the World Series. No five. Right. So you you caught them in the right era too. And it was still bad. So that means the ballpark must be truly terrible. By the way, we can confirm. Actually, we can't confirm, but this is truly Colleen that is from Cali shoemaker, and she says she likes the food at progressive field. So I'll take I'll take your word for it. And she also says Miami field is bad. I don't know. I don't believe it's called Miami field. But we know we know what you mean. Yeah. I agree. Luke agrees Sam you are wrong. That is final. Horrible to oh, they have done so many terrible things. The city of Miami. Is completely turned on that team that Derek Jeter first ballot hall of Famer, and then you've got whore. Hey Posada as well joining as right had. So you'd expect those two great big baseball mindset, you know, turn the organization around. But that's what happens when you give a guy a ten plus your contract. I know that they got rich dad, but there's really nothing to cheer for Miami sports. Besides Wade county, but he's gone after this year. So what what's the attraction of Miami sports, besides the beach, not much, but speaking of Wade county, the pistons have opened up a huge lead. I didn't get it is one zero seven to eighty four all the sudden huge huge ballgame. So the pistons picking up a Jain Norma's when I don't wanna speak too soon, but pretty sizable lead with six minutes. It's not over yet. I shouldn't have said that now the pistons will lose because I said that but and what's the best interaction with a with a baseball player. That you've had another. We always like to arrive at the the, you know, the gates early. Get the catch some BP Mike shoemaker's a huge fan of BP likes to get to the ball game early. Or he he got me hooked on to he flies around the outfield seats trying to catch a ball for Tom. He no, he always take. I remember he took three separate foul balls away from a kid. No kidding. Yeah. And all caught me my first fall ball. So I always will be thankful for that one. He Michael caught it. He caught it with his bare hand and handed it to me and I ducked out of the way like a little kid that I was that's really likes to make you believe that was a hot shot off the bat of Michael young. It was it really was it was a seed. It was seen. Also, just before we get completely away from the NBA talk nuts. One seventeen Hornets one fifteen. Final. Yes final. So right now, if the pistons gonna hang on there the seven seed in the east. Yeah. And they don't lose a traction on the Brooklyn Brooklyn either. So that's a big win. Yeah. In the nets were down for a lot of that fourth quarter. I thought the Hornets started to pull away a little bit. So it's great to see the nets came back and won that one. But best interaction with a baseball player. You know, our our our parents and their friends with Andy Dirks, he's a really nice guy on the field though. I know I know Luke has a few story. I haven't had a ton of on field ones. I mean, I've gotten some some signatures. You know, some autographs megi come on. What did I meet? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I got I got a picture with him. And he said he said, hi. But it. It was really cool to meet the guy, obviously. But I didn't get a great interaction with him. I think I was actually with you, Luke. The Terry Francona the manager of the Indians. I don't know if you remember that one he he he didn't want to be out. There didn't want sign on that kid hit. Terry was real about three packs of shoe on his right cheek as well as. Yeah. That was really a funny interaction. But yeah, I don't have really a memorable one on the field. But Andy Dirks, obviously Tommy had a really special connection with Brandon engine back when he had his heart transplant was that two thousand nine and I got to meet him a couple of times through Tommy. And he was a great guy. But not really any significant on the field. Once for me. What about the one of Miami? Where was it you or was it me? I honestly forgot we were yelling out. I believe it was a center fielder for the Marlins. We're we're talking about Anthony ghosts was out there talking to Anthony goes I do remember that at the end of the where we screaming out a player diff- Marcella zone. Yes. Marcello zuma. We were yelling at the top of our lungs at poor Marcel Osuna, he's he's putting up some big numbers now in Saint Louis. I believe I don't feel too bad for Marcello soon. I'm sure he he's doing just fine for himself. But that that was a pretty good one as well. Yes. So Matt Candela face. That's what's going on. Big time. You know, he taught me the game of bowling. I if you're listening audience, you're laughing at the game, a bowling think again. Because who do you think you are? I am is the famous quote from Boeing Pete Weber famous bowler from the PVA championship. Luke signed Carlos Carrasco is love it was actually Danny Salazar for the Cleveland Indians. Here's a funny story. I'm telling you this is my sophomore year in high school again about four foot four five. Yup. If I if I looked like a normal sophomore in high school players will give you the time of day. So I use it to my advantage. Okay..
