"And then we see this really sweet montage of michael and babies and the babies love him. They really do well. That's because it's steve. Carell is holding the baby. No i mean not to say that. They wouldn't have loved. Michael but steve is a natural with kids. I know we had a fan question from evan. L. and stacy 'em in the scenes where michael is holding all the babies. Were those hired actors or did the crew. Just go out and let people line up to have their baby. Held by steve carell. All of those babies were the children of our writers and our crew. So here is a list of the babies at nine minutes. You have baby on the street. This is emma holland daughter of our editor dean holland. And that is also dean's wife tasha at nine minutes nine seconds. I'm calling this one baby at the bathroom. That baby is theodore grandee. The woman is sage randy. And this is the son of our writer. Charlie grandy at nine minutes fifteen seconds we have double baby and that is our writer. Mike sure's wife. J j philbin and their baby william along with our camera operator matt zones wife melissa and their baby devon and the final baby at nine minutes. Seventeen seconds that is avery. Feral the daughter of our writer anthony farrell. The woman was background performer. But that's anthony loading the stroller into the car. So we had kind of like a little mini baby-boom On our set all of these kids were around the same age. I texted with dean. He said his daughter. Emma is now thirteen years old and she tells everybody that she's one of the babies on the office and angela. I know you get asked a lot about isabel. Because she was right around the same age to yes isabel just had her thirteenth birthday. There was this baby boom and it was really fun for us to have our babies on onset and i get asked if she was in this episode and she wasn't and you know why the day they filmed the scene with all the babies was my day off. Oh and i wanted to be home with my baby not bringing my baby to work. So i wasn't in it and they said don't worry we're gonna get isabel in there and they did. She ended up having a very funday onset years later at cici's dance recital. I can't wait. I know well michaels going to try to make the best of it okay. He is going to present astronaut to the office. And they're going to go into the conference room cheonma. He does the lion king and holds the car seat over his head. I know baby day. That was fake baby and that was.

"Practicing every day anthony. No i don't think the audience really understands really how junior college is broken down in california. For some reason we call junior college arrest the rest of the countries. They call a community college. But i know california's now calling a community college in certain school so understand listeners that community colleges at junior college at the two year college where you have an opportunity to receive. Aa degree. and if you don't receive the a degree in you're not a qualified you can't play division one baseball so understanding that an. Aa degree is the foundation for a four year degree anywhere. It's the first two years as general education. So it's not like what's his eighty degree. Now if you go to san jose state or fresno state or stanford you basically get a to you. Don't just you just kinda roll right through it. So the a is just your first. Two years in college apt to take enough classes to be eligible in. It's not easy you have to be on your a game. So anthony can use to explain just briefly of california. There's roughly eight junior colleges in the great northwest. then you have arizona. Then you have the rest of the united states of america so you know how. How's that look and in california the junior colleges. There's forty four in the north was forty four in the south and they're competing for state national championship. So in the north. There's going to. They're going to have two representatives that are going down to the final four and in the south's gonna have two representatives coming up to the final four and then that's going to be your state champion. Why we're not included with everybody else. In the united states of america is beyond me. I don't try to waste time on that. Because that's something that i can't control so we're just trying to do our own thing and trying to get better each day and so on and so forth so an era arizona. They use windbags in the great northwest. They use wood bats. They give scholarships across the country except in california so if you live in taxes you really don't want to go to jail california because the unless unless you don't mind plant fan out of state tuition. Your grandma might live in the town but it's really scholarship based across the united states of america except the state of california lasting quickly before we get jaw breakers either Is to be a california college head in one thousand nine hundred ninety eight. I believe the reason is because we have eighty eight junior colleges. You go to a lot of states. There's three there's four there's five you know so we have eight so we basically out almost all the united states in one state. We right back with our guest anthony. Anthony farrell is seventeen years at bucolic. The head coach formerly at chico state university one of the top division susan. The country right now anthony. I wanna get into the six stole in illinois. Talk about recruiting as you've gone through your coaching journey. You've actually made changes on what's important priority. Check boxes you know. There's check boxes that we have to check to any player right as we're showing interest. We want to see if they check the box. It's the same with the big league level. Same at the end of the minor league levels the same division one junior college high school. You know trends checking boxes so the boxes that you check now. Why are they different and why they change you know again. I've done this a long time. I've been really really fortunate enough to be the head coach for seventeen years and early on and probably my first ten years. It was always. It's always about you know getting the best player getting the guys that are gonna get you the most wins you all these types of things and then what you find out is your with these kids so much. That character really comes into play. You wanna be happy. You want to surround yourself around kids that are smiling. They're having fun that her dirtbags so to speak. So in the last roughly seven years of mine my career here and now going forward with the same model is i. Try to focus more on. Now dirtbag type player the grinder and what i mean by that is is a kid. That's gonna do whatever it takes to get it done. And what. I also expand on. That is with a smile on his face. he's able to enjoy the game. He's not all about me me me. He's a grinder. he's willing to let me give you an example of a grinder gap. You have a ball that hit up close to a fence. The grinder is going to run through the fence. A dirtbag is going to run through the fence. Because all he sees as the ball and he wants to make the play for the team the died most talented. That's not the greiner that's not bad. He might pull up at the fence and it doesn't matter whether the balls qatar not it matters about effort it matters about the guy willing to do whatever it takes for teammate. And the guy who was right and the guy who was left eleazar. The guys were looking for now grant. You have to have a little bit of talent you gotta be able to play catch and hit the ball but the six tool in my opinion is severely way that tremendously at our college now. Now that's can. I come play for you right now because you know. That's that's what. I'm all about And i i really feel anthony that that type of player is under recruited in under appreciated at every level including the professional level You know the guy that that has some tools like you mentioned but really has that.

"Welcome back nate. Trotsky with trent jerrell. And we're gonna lead off with our professional guest anthony farrell athens been a bucolic for seventeen years. He's the head coach. He was formerly at chico state university. One of the top division two programs in the country was the recruiting coordinator. Then he stepped down to junior college. I say step down just because the level is lower but it's not necessarily a lower level of baseball or development. Anthony zinni get into. We're gonna talk about junior college. We're gonna talk about player development the differences between division. One division two. You know junior college and anthony like to welcome you to this show how you doing rather than eight. Thanks for having me. I'm really excited to be here tonight. And it's very humbling experience. I i want to say thank you to you. And trent more great to have. You haven't been running showcases for over twenty years. We average about thirty needed. Each event and anthony is our most beloved college coach that has been coming to camp and helping and recruiting so anthony houses energy excitement and his love for the game. That is second to none in the kids feel. My two nephews went through. I mean they started our showcases j. even wrong when they were in sixth grade. So ending. anthony som- go through the last six years. You were trying to recruit and crude and butte and now you tried when they were like i think twelve but on it didn't end up working out but you did get some guys. In of first question. Anthony is the great disparity. this is what cds about. What do you think players need to better. 'cause we talk about body tools make complete player development players. Come in to junior college or to the ncaa level would you notice is a is is an area that they actually are shorten and they need to develop because they're not reaching their ceilings. You know for me based on my experiences nowadays you know you have so much travel ball. You have so many different things going on. And i like to look at datas kids. Kinda like participating. That aren't really in a in a good environment where they're being taught the actual game of baseball the developmental side of it so a lot of the time. Unfortunately when i'm getting kids at my level at the junior college level. We're having kids. That really don't understand that it's a game. They're just used to going out there and participating meaning getting their bats getting their innings getting their defense of organ and whatever the case may be. And then you're trying to teach them when they get your place the nuances of the game and you're trying to take that to the next level right in is in the dominican republic right now but i was here about a month ago on charles manson. Who wrote heads up baseball. With general it was with us for the whole week is son was under team and we were talking about that same concept and one says we were talking about perfection and he was talking about how the game is imperfectly in shoddy for perfection. But we're not gonna reach it and you know. He brought up the point of connecting not perfecting the game but connecting with the game. And it's such a beautiful piece of of insight because if one you have to realize it is a game right. And i think that players forget that i think they think it's it's almost like it's it's tennis one on one where it's an individual selfish focused me game. It's not at all right when they get to play in the clear level. You guys wanna compete. You guys have to really understand the iq the instinct to a level of understanding of the game. No question about it and a couple of examples would be you know what you're dugout do on a guy sacrifice bunt the guy over the second. What's your dugout doing. When a guy gets a base hit or a ball to the right side with to know out and moving the runner to third. Let's your dugout. Doing those run around third with less than two outs in your batters. Driving him in those are the types of things that i think players have lost getting excited about there are more excited about getting a base hit instead of actually playing the game and getting it done. Hey anthony is trump on here So juku is like one of my favorite things. I'm juku player. We throw around the term. These days do co. Bandit i don't know if you like that term or not but You know it was. The greatest experience of my life and i would never trade. It grew me up and maybe tougher and you know what a tremendous experience can you enlighten the audience to the quality of baseball played at the juke co level. Because there's a big misconception out there that junior college baseball somehow is not real college baseball. Yeah of course you know. The first thing is is all junior colleges all four year schools. They're all different so the first thing you need to look for is what are you looking for. As a family as a player athletically like break down into three things athletically academically and socially. I mean you have to find the right fit for you on those three things now a lot of times. I'm recruiting kids and they're all gonna go division one in their own minds right because that's the goal. That's the care that everybody wants so what we start to do is we started saying okay. Johnny for example. Hey we just want to be your option if the division one or division to fall through for you. What people don't understand is junior college. Baseball is extremely competitive. And it's extremely developmental if you find the right program and we liked to pride ourselves on our program. Don't get me wrong. We like to win but our program is not all about winning. We're trying to develop young men. Were trying to develop at her father's. We're trying to develop better husbands. Whatever you wanna call it. We're trying to teach these kids life long experiences through the game of baseball. So when talking about competitiveness and the developmental side of that. There's nothing better in my opinion than junior college. Baseball and california. I like to call a second to none. Yes oh i've played in florida. I wish the duke coz and You know california. What somehow get in the whole big loop with with most of the rest of the country because i think it would make a true national championship. Be be amazing right. It'd be really really good so to me you know. If you'll touch on getting a play you know early on in my career against tremendous competition may be so much more prepared to you know when i finally got to get the d. one level It wasn't necessarily my goal Per se but i went. You co ended up doin and that are playing professionally. So that was my route. But i felt so much more prepared at the division one level coming at a junior college in you know to have programs like yourself and we're going to hear connor later in his journey. You know talk about the routes that guys can take a little bit when they go to. It can be within itself so in california when you graduate jakoda you get to take that all with you is an a degree like it is for the rest of the country yes so And again this goes into picking your program. You've got to find out that the programs the right fit for you academically. Because it's actually helping you get your degree. We do a phenomenal job. You college with regards to about eighty percent of our guys graduate with degrees. So that's the part of it because it's again not just about winning. We feel that winning is going to be a product. An end result of what we're developing everyday throughout now difference between junior college and the four year level is at junior college. You have a longer period to practice. You have roughly the entire fault which could be two to three. Months opposed an ncaa or any ice go away. You're limited on your practice. I don't know if that answered your question but that's huge when you're talking about the developmental side of.

"Central standard time Federal Reserve Bank St Louis president James Bullard predicted the US unemployment rate will hit at least thirty percent in the second quarter which is what April may June thirty percent unemployment because of forced government shuts down shut downs to combat a virus but then on president fifty percent drop in gross domestic product which is well beyond depression levels well beyond depression levels and this is almost like a feedback loop like groundhog day every time you turn on the media it's a complete disaster criticizing shopping at dissecting the president said this about Mitt Romney tonight try to make a little joke during difficult times CNN one off after use and using his wife's cancer breast cancer as another reason to attack the president and I'm looking at this objectively N. as objectively as I can and we're being told by the experts that millions of Americans will die horribly gasping for breath many more millions will be in the hospital they're going to live because of treatment and that we basically have to shut down the nation so none of us can talk with each other or walk with each other or do any business whatsoever when everyone knows the great bulk of the American people are not at risk of getting this at all I am at risk I'm seventy two years old I'm a grandfather called poppy I've had a heart valve replaced by dean Kerry Akis I'm at risk but almost everyone else I come in contact with is not at risk according to the CDC the young are not at risk seventy percent or above the age of sixty five they're at risk the numbers allegedly millions of deaths so far there's been four hundred and fourteen but millions are coming we're gonna trash the American economy according this one at the college imperial college of London four million Americans will die have a home would have otherwise have lived instead of for lack of medical capacity such as ventilators by the way if everything works out perfectly we have about maybe nine hundred thousand ventilators in about a month which means if we do that two million more will die we're all gonna die it's awful goes on and on that news reports how do we without knowing at the end of the day how many are going to go to the hospital these are predictions crash the American economy that we can't be together and may I say again I watch Anthony Fauci tonight with the great one mark Levin on fox the great majority of American people are not a risk okay according to the diamond princess model the cruise ship extrapolating the infection rate and the death rate on that ship when they were together for weeks floating together with them they were quarantine translating that it would mean the ten thousand Americans would die not for million in reality we know that four hundred fourteen Americans have died and thirty two thousand have been infected ten years ago those numbers with Obama in office we're a little bit different they were so much worse and barely we can't remember it they did a record retrospective then in the end the twenty oh nine in twenty ten swine flu panic sixty one million Americans were infected presently the number thirty two thousand at that point twelve thousand five hundred died ten years later four hundred fourteen the country it was a glib but we were told wash your hands stay away from each other use wipes America kept working the term throwing the baby out with the bath water how about killing a fly with a sledgehammer I don't know I don't know when I'm not giving you factual information I'm extrapolating what is happening in other countries and and how we're crashing in trashing this economy because the experts have told us well intended they're not lying they believe this is going to happen they're gonna have millions dead and many more millions in the hospital's being treated and dying because of a lack of medical supplies blaming out on trump what do the Democrats doing December January and February by the way can I get can you recall impeachment take him out of office time down don't let him do anything now the criers why do you do more well he did what he could do being impeached by the Democrats this is a grave economic catastrophe and who's going to benefit from it the communist red Chinese is started at all may I use the term every death every life is precious they claim three thousand two hundred sixty one Chinese died three thousand two hundred sixty one in a nation of one point three billion if they could have gone back in time I'm sure it was an accidental release when this infected bat a chicken and somebody ate the chicken I'm sure it was if they're gonna go back in time to September October November of last year and say look what America looks like on March the twenty second look what America looks like they would have taken that the route communist red Chinese government in a heart beat we have a purpose for economic collapse coming in about forty five minutes Mercedes lap will be here worked in the White House and course she is part of the senior adviser to the trump campaign hundreds of thousands in America at a minimum will die billions more will be in the hospital before I go to because there are thousands on hold course every year in America forty thousand individuals die in car and truck accidents every year forty thousand I look at it to my right and I see for service station selling gas we accept the fact that forty thousand Americans will die trying to make the car safer air bags and all that forty thousand Americans will die but we still drive cars all the time I go outside to play golf every year hundreds of Americans die hit in the head by lightning there's five thousand Americans die every year in a bath tub yet I take a shower so what is it about this event and what you're buying the arguments are well intended bride individuals who tell us that we don't crash the American economy and purposefully by law all force Americans in a home car serration if we don't do that then four million or more will die when presently the number is four hundred forty what what am I watching it is mass hysteria the panic is worse than the virus how many lives will be lost because of the policies of people that we're gonna have an echo cardiogram done you can't get it done they're gonna die of a heart attack or a woman with you during cancer or a mammogram not had because it's elective who will die of breast cancer or uterine cancer how many Americans are not going to get treated for a bunch of things and the economy well I have no money what will be the cost of this the feds and state government what kind of military we're going to have one America is bankrupt how come you got to print four trillion more dollars crashing the economy with a fifty percent reduction in GDP I said fifty percent where does the money come from two point five the four trillion dollars it's print it which means every dollar you have in your pocket is worth less money buys fewer things that can someone have this debate and say wait a minute the cost of this is trashing eliminating collapsing the American economy and the benefits are hopefully saving a few lives okay tell me as an American what the risks are tell me what I gotta do I'll put on my seat belt I wash my hands okay I'll buy a great Chevy traverse with all the bells and whistles and tell me the backup cameras and then I'm gonna go and I'm gonna live my life at some point soon I pray to god the governors and the presidents within a week or two open this economy tell us what the risks risks are and let us proceed with life somebody's got to work to pay the bills let's take some calls I can't believe here we are at the end of March and trump is signing into law the policies of Bernie Sanders on steroids and we're flattered are back in the rest of the world our enemies are laughing at us and I pray to god that there are and I want the experts to be wrong I'm in the category that may have a problem Rush Limbaugh may be in that category yes may have a problem but I want to pass on to the next generation a nation at least as good as the one given to me and we're purposely plunging America into a Great Depression to solve a problem that may be insoluble because according to Anthony Farrell G. the same number of people are going to get it anyway eighty percent we want to even it out a little bit okay good we've been out now for about a week or ten days another week or two it's going to be close to a month Easter's coming April the twelfth one price rises from the dead I want the American economy to rise from the dead to get back to work before I go back to college my fear is this that the switch will be turned on the lights will come on because there's no job to go back to seventy percent of the American economy is consumer spending men and women like you when I buying cars buying houses buying washing machines taking trips going to hotels going to Las Vegas doing things that character is buying it's moving is going to college going to high school watching the kids graduate that's the American economy and of the American economy is so destroyed that people cannot get credit and cannot work because we purposely did this and trump is signing in the policies a Bernie Sanders making all Americans I live in Ohio now home incarceration and how many people have died in Ohio so far the answer is three with the youngest being seventy eight years old okay how many millions of Americans will be hurt by these policies and we've never voted on in fact the experts in Washington say they want more money to be spent this is the this is the moment where I think conservatives have got to stand up the Hoover Institution looked at the same numbers worldwide and so the total number of American deaths should be approximately fifty thousand which is typical and a flu year fifty thousand liberals look at it and say four million were based in the policy upon the four million the first case report it was December first and communist red China here we are heading toward April first which is what five.
