"So real quick. How icon Elective, you LeBron the impact and legacy and it is purely opinion. But this is my generation's MJ's farts, impact and dominant belief. Is Through an evolution. It's you know, 67 years of different super teas and stuff, but eventually LeBron and You know his team and Cleveland just really him and Kyrie led to the most Incredible team we've seen recently in the gold State Warriors with Kevin Durant because in with Carrie and LeBron still took dream on clay and Steph deep into the finals. They need that extra piece to say. Hey, you know what? In order to take him down and make sure he's not a threat at all. We need to have the most intense superteam. We've seen the past 20 years. That's the gravity and impact of LeBron. That it doesn't just take one player. It didn't came down. You need to get four or five guys. Could say that can alter in balance. The tables if you will. No. I mean, yeah. I mean, who knows what his career looks like? If if they don't sign Durant, right. If the Warriors don't get the rant, I think that Cavs team the next year, at least offensively was better than the cats seem that one in 2016. So if the Warriors don't add Durant that year, there's very good chance LeBron wins, at least, you know, Let's just say if the Warriors never get to read the rant. I think it's fair to say LeBron wins one more ring in Cleveland, whether it was Miami back back in Cleveland and hey, might go back to back in L A right now, you know? Yeah, And that would be that would then that would be six right there this year. I mean, look, Circumstances are what they are different teams that Robert was or who did it? Well, no one else on LeBron's level. Yes, Robert. Or he has been on three different teams that won a championship. No. Yeah, but he's definitely not LeBron. But I'm saying that you know Jamie chips with three different teams, that's and also very special class. He's a one man dynasty. I mean, looking everywhere he goes, is competing for a title when he leaves. They're not. I mean Miami's the one organization that was able to withstand his departure and and build themselves back up. But, uh, you know, look where the Lakers were just a couple years ago. Where the cabs are now. Yeah, look with the cats were the first time he left. I mean, it speaks for itself, You know? It's it's clear as they it's evident. It doesn't need to be, you know, even hammered home on Dow, where he's at that point in his career again when, when It would be asking too much. Eight Justices 18th season coming up. We'll be asking too much 18 seasons in a 36 years old, but turned 36 for him to do that for the franchise. You know by himself or do what he did with the calves and 2018 and getting them to the finals or anything like that. That would be too much of an ask. But Anthony Davis comes in and all the sudden all right now. LeBron can Strategically deploy. You know those fuel reserves not to say he's coasting? I mean, but we all you know, we all pace ourselves, and especially at that age, He's gonna have to pace himself a little bit off a quick turnaround where they just won the title. It feels like a couple weeks ago at this point. All right. Time to make my NFL picks for this week. Anthony, what was my record last week? Last week? You were three and three. So back to back weeks. You're at 500 at three and three and overall, you're 35 34 on the season. 35 34 been 500 the last couple weeks on Lee A few more weeks to go is wild as that. Seems it just a mist. Daryn, the chief the chief, So you had them at 3.5 last week. And of course, they just won by the field goal three points, so that was like that one felt like it was in the bag to write vast majority that game. That was one of those ones where the chief, it looked like a blowout. And then I don't know if I I never thought the Buccaneers. We're gonna come back and win that game or even threatened to win that game. But they were playing come back the whole rest of the game and that she sort of took their their foot off the gas pedal. And, Yeah, anybody who bet on the chief's sort of was watching that dwindle and evaporate. I think I've lost with the chief three weeks in a row. Well, I picked them again. You'll find out time for my NFL picks. Let's go. He's.

Los Angeles Lakers, Anthony Davis Agree To Five-Year $190 Million Contract

"Anthony davis got a lotta time. He could build a whole olympic sized jacuzzi now with his hundred and nine hundred million dollar contract. Five years l. c. Four years stared teed without an opt-out it's all guaranteed but i'm saying four years concurrent better said and then a option for the fifth year player option. It's look it has been a great week. If you're the los angeles lakers. Obviously it's a great week of your anthony davis and the davis family lebron james and the james family and it's been a great week for jeanie buss who you mentioned but i'm gonna add one more person. It has been a great actually. Great couple of weeks for rob pelinka and a guy that you and i and a lot of us have all a couple years ago now. We're critical of because there was some stuff and moves that were questionable but none since the last two off seasons and he has not only nailed it. But i think he had the best off season of anyone in the sport so he needs deserves all the kudos in the world.

Opinion: Los Angeles Lakers' LeBron James is worth more than $85m

"Have had a really short offseason right? Like their last their season ended. On October 11th. And their first preseason game is December 11th. So we're talking about two months. Roughly half of one and normal offseason is for a finals champ. Not for any other team, but for a finals champ. They're getting half the time they normally would. But Rob Pelinka has been busy as hell. They brought in the sixth Man of the year. Montrose Harold they brought in the sixth Man of the year runner up Dennis Schroder. Brought in Marcus all they brought in Wesley Matthews. They re signed KCP. They re signed Marquis of Morris. And then, in the last 24 hours, they made the moves that everybody was expecting. First, there was the news that LeBron had agreed to a two year extension with the Lakers, then the news. And Anthony Davis had agreed to a five year extension with the Lakers. And both were expected. But for any Laker fan freaking out and sweating that either LeBron or a D would leave, rest assured, that's not happening. Nor should it like, Why would they? Why would they? They just want to ring. They've got a really good look at another. In fact, I make the argument that this year's roster is better than last year's roster. Now That doesn't mean they're gonna win again. But all you can ask for this point. Is a chance and they've got a damn good chance. In fact, they've got better better than a damn good chance the deals with LeBron and 80 or not a surprise. But they are interesting as an example that two year extension that LeBron reportedly agreed to is going to run through the end of the 2023 season and reportedly is worth 85 mil. Some of you might be thinking 85 mil. For two years to turn a cash, especially for a guy who's got that many miles on him. Who me? Especially for a guy who's gonna turn 36 later this month. In this case to me, 85 mil. It's not too much. In fact, it's not even close to too much. In fact, I'm gonna argue that LeBron is worth a hell of a lot more than 85 mil. I'm gonna argue. LeBron is worth double that amount of money, if not more, and again, that's not hyperbole. That's not exaggeration. Look where the Lakers were before LeBron arrived. They had been in the post season in years. They were a complete and total mess. Then he shows up and leaves them tow a ring in a second season. You can't put a price tag on that. How much money is that worth? You can't put a price tag on a moment like this. During the trophy presentation, Jeannie. I told Jenny when I came here that I was gonna put this franchise back in the position where it belongs. Her late. Great father did it for so many years and she just took it on after that, and For me to be a part of such a historical franchises. It's unbelievable feeling not only for myself, but for my teammates for the organization for the coaches for the trainers, everybody that's here. We just want our respect. Robinson's respect Coach Vogel Warner's respect. Organization. What they respect Laker nation won't they respect and I want my damn respect to if you don't think that's worth 85 mil. Then you don't understand business, their business that brand their pride that legacy. I mean, you could pass that hat among Laker fans and come up with way more than 85 mil. To pay that guy again as a

Anthony Davis finalizing five-year, $190 million max deal with Lakers, agent says

"Or Chris? Paul. What kind of money in contract negotiations? Did Mr Clutch sports full in this league on LeBron and then a D and back to back days? What is he charged for? That One quarter, then 2% 3% no more than three right. I do have a friend. That's an agent and I'm doing this off in time. My head, but I think They get generally between what four and 10% depending on the sport. It depends the more you make, the less the percentages so I I paid agents 10% most of my life, but I don't make that much. But a guy like LeBron James when he's your buddy. Yeah. You know, I I would think probably 3% would be The going rate, uh, for that, but I mean, he did monster contracts back to back. On. It's the relationship with LeBron. I mean, they grew up together, and he's the guy who's got trained my green as well. And they all orchestrated the The Anthony Davis, You know, transaction to hold out from New Orleans and put on the T shirt that that's all folks and, you know, just kind of tanked on there all year and Even though they were a playoff team, and you made the point that They? They both got massive contracts. I mean, LeBron, a two year $85 million extension. Could. It could have gotten more I think and then Anthony Davis, a five year 1 90 he can get out of here is an early termination doesn't have to go to the fifth year. So I don't know. You know, the the roll back and in the B R. I Is going to affect most people, but I don't know if it'll affect them. There is a very top end. But I think they probably could have squeezed a little more juice out of it. To be honest with you, but they all signed back to back so We're looking at the Lakers being the dominant team in the NBA for at least the next three years and more. It's interesting that actually A D committed to a year beyond LeBron. So I mean, LeBron is you gotta play more than just this

Trump slams global climate agreement Biden intends to rejoin

"Donald trump rallied against the paris climate accord on sunday telling world leaders at a virtual summit that the agreement was designed to cripple the us economy. Not save the planet to protect american workers. I withdrew the united states from the unfair and one sided paris. Climate accord a very unfair act for the united states. Trump said video from the white house to the group of twenty summit hosted by saudi arabia. He's comments came during a discussion among the world's largest economies on safeguarding. The earth president-elect. Joe biden who takes office in january has said he will rejoin the global pact that the us helped forge five years ago trump contended. The international accord was not designed to save the environment. It was designed to kill the american economy. It is not clear whether trump has even read the paris. Climate accord trump. Who has worked to undo. Most of president barack obama's efforts to fight climate change said that since withdrawing from the climate agreement the us has reduced carbon emissions more than any nation. That is true but it's not that remarkable with its giant economy. The us has far more roar emissions of climate damaging carbon dioxide to cut than any other country except china a more telling measure of progress in various countries is to look at what percentage of emissions country has cut since two thousand five. The united states hasn't been even in the top ten. In percentage of greenhouse gas emission reductions more than one hundred and eighteen nations have ratified the accord which aims to keep the increase in average temperatures worldwide well below two degrees celsius and ideally no more than one point five degrees compared with pre industrial levels scientists. Say that any rise beyond two degrees celsius could have a devastating impact on large parts of the world raising sea levels stoking tropical storms and worsening droughts and floods. The us formally exited the paris pact on november fourth. On saturday the us formally left the open skies treaty which permits thirty plus nations to conduct unarmed observation. Flights over each other's territory. Those overflights set up decades ago to promote trust and avert conflict during the discussions at the climate session. Messages are being sent to the rest of the world about how democracy functions. I just think it's totally irresponsible with corona virus. Surging out of control. The nation's top public health agency pleaded with americans on thursday. Not to travel for thanksgiving and not to spend the holiday with people. From outside their household it was some of the firmest guidance yet from the government on curtailing traditional gatherings to fight the outbreak the cdc issued recommendations. Just one week before thanksgiving at a time. When diagnosed infections hospitalizations and deaths skyrocketing across the country in many areas the healthcare system is being squeezed by a combination of sick patients filling up beds and medical workers. Falling ill themselves. The cdc is recommending. That thanksgiving hosts take added precautions. Gathering should be outdoors if possible with people keeping six feet apart and wearing masks and just one person serving the food whether americans heed the warning is another matter. The deadly comeback by the virus has been blamed in part on pandemic fatigue and lack of federal leadership with the president and his surrogates refusing to wear masks or social distance. Us treasury secretary steven mnuchin said on thursday that key pandemic lending programs at the federal reserve would expire on december thirty first putting the outgoing trump administration at odds with the central bank potentially adding stress to the economy. As president-elect joe biden organizers his administration in a letter to fed chair jerome powell mnuchin said the four hundred and fifty five billion dollars allocated to the treasury under the kazaks last much of it set aside to support fed lending to businesses nonprofits and local governments should instead be available for congress to reallocate. The announcement was not expected by fed officials. Who said this week that the programs should be extended untold mnuchin. So immediately after his decision was made public the announcement could signal potential trouble. For the biden administration. The programs particularly the main street and local government lending programs raise the prospect of trillions of dollars in central bank credit flooding into an economy that had been partially shut down in the spring because of the pandemic the trump team has prepared legally required transition memos describing policy challenges but there are no discussions about actions. They could take all pulls an official said. The goal is to set so many fires that it would be hard for the biden administration to put them all out..

"In twenty twenty. Finale trump falsely claims voter fraud as biden goes on the offensive. Judge rejects gop effort to throw out one hundred twenty seven thousand votes and trump says supporters who harassed biden campaign. Bus did nothing wrong. It's tuesday november three. I'm anthony davis in the final day of a campaign unlike any other president. Donald trump charged across the country on monday. Delivering without evidence is incendiary allegation that the election is rigged while democratic challenger. Joe biden pushed into states. Once seen safely republican looking to secure his path to the white house. America stood at a crossroads never before in modern history. The vote is faced a choice between candidates offering such opposite visions as the nation confronts so once in a century pandemic the starkest economic contraction since the great depression and citizenry divided on cultural and racial issues. The two men also broke sharply yesterday on the voting process itself while campaigning in the most fiercely contested battleground pennsylvania. The president threatened legal action to stop the counting beyond election day if pennsylvania ballot-counting take several days as is allowed trump falsely charged. That cheating can happen. Like you have never seen biden in. Pittsburgh pushed a voting rights message to a mostly black audience. Declaring that believes only wealthy folks should vote and describing covid nineteen as a mass casualty event for black americans. We're done with the chaos with done with the tweets. The anger the hates the failure. The irresponsibility said biden whose campaign has focused on increasing turnout for black voters. Who could prove the difference in several battleground states. Both campaigns insists they have a pathway to victory. Though biden's options for winning the required two hundred seventy electoral college votes a more plentiful trump is banking on a surge of enthusiasm from his most loyal supporters. In addition to potential legal maneuvers trump spent the full final campaign day sprinting through five rallies from north carolina to pennsylvania to wisconsin biden devoted most of his time to pennsylvania where a win would leave trump with an exceedingly narrow path. He also dipped into ohio. A show of confidence in a state. That trump won by eight percentage points four years ago the two men delivered their final messages with biden emphasizing the pandemic. He declared that the first step to beating the virus is beating donald trump and he promised he would retain the nation's leading infectious disease expert. Dr anthony found she whom the president has talked to firing trump. Meanwhile made only passing mention of what he's aides believe on his signature accomplishment in favor of a torrent of grievance and combativeness he angrily decried the media's coverage of the campaign while complaining. He was being treated unfairly. Meanwhile trump offered no new policies. Just more undoing of the protections and regulation barack obama put in place biden announce an unusual move to campaign today on election. Day saying he would head to philadelphia and he's native scranton as part of a get out the vote effort trump at least for now was not sheduled to travel today. "Coming up on five minute news totes. Trump's remain in Mexico policy. Wall Street has worst week since two thousand eight and Luxembourg is first country to make all public transport. Free it Saturday February twenty nine. I'm Anthony Davis dealing a significant blow to a signature trump administration immigration policy. A federal appeals court ruled yesterday that the government can no longer make asylum-seekers wait in Mexico while their cases wind through the US Immigration Courts. The setback for the trump administration may prove temporary if it appeals to the US Supreme Court which has consistently sided with the president on immigration and Border Security policies the remain in Mexico policy known officially as migrant protection protocols took effect in January last year in San Diego and gradually spread across the border. Nearly sixty thousand people have been sent back to wait for hearings and officials believe it is a big reason why illegal border crossings plummeted around eighty percent from thirteen year high in May reaction to the was swift among immigration lawyers and advocates who've spent months fighting with the administration over a program they see as a humanitarian disaster subjecting hundreds of migrants to violence kidnapping and extortion in dangerous Mexican border cities. Hundreds more have been living in squalid encampments. Just across the border as they wait for their next court date in November the administration began sending asylum seekers from Honduras and El Salvador. Guatemala denying them a chance in the United States and instead inviting them to apply in the strife-torn Central American nation under another new policy Mexicans and Central Americans who fail initial screening a rapidly deported without leaving border patrol stations which gained notoriety last year for homeland security internal watchdog reports of squalid conditions in some Texas locations. The screening interview is designed to take place in one day and any appeals to an immigration judge within ten days asylum seekers were given up to nineteen minutes to contact a lawyer. Asylum has been granted in less than one percent of the roughly thirty five thousand cases. That have been decided. Only five percent are represented by attorneys many of whom are reluctant to visit clients in Mexico. Stocks sank again yesterday after another wild day on Wall Street that handed the market. Its worst week since October. Two Thousand Eight at the height of the Financial Crisis. The market clawed back much of its intra-day losses in the last fifteen minutes of trading. A some bias emerged. Keeping the index is from another steep. Plunge the Dow Jones industrial average swung back from an early slide of more than a thousand points to close around three hundred and fifty points lower the S. and P. Five hundred fell no point eight percent and he's now down thirteen percent since hitting a record high just ten days ago. The Nasdaq reversed nearly declined to finish flat. The market's losses moderated somewhat after the Federal Reserve released. A statement saying it stood ready to help the economy if needed investors increasingly. Expect the Fed to cut rates at its next policy meeting. In mid March global financial markets have been rattled by the corona virus outbreak that has been shutting down industrial centers and severely crippling travel. All over the world. More companies are warning investors. Their finances will take a hit because of disruptions to supply chains and sales government's taking increasingly drastic measures as they scramble to contain the virus. The damage from a week of almost relentless selling was eye-popping. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell three thousand five hundred eighty three points or twelve point four percent. Microsoft and apple the two most valuable companies in the S. and P. Five hundred lost a combined. Three hundred billion dollars in a sign of the severity of the concern about the possible economic blow. The price of oil sank sixteen percent. The latest losses have wiped out the S. and P. Five hundred gains going back to October. Airlines have suffered some of the worst hit says flight routes cancelled along with travel plans. A big concern. Investors have is that the stock market could have a psychological effect on consumers making them reluctant to spend money and go to crowded places like stores restaurants and movie theaters. Luxembourg is to become the first country to offer a free public transit system as the government tries to reduce particularly dense contract. Some cities have taken similar partial measures but the transport ministry said it was the only time such a decision had encompassed an entire country. Public Transport will be free from Saturday in a move that will affect approximately forty percent of households and save each one around one hundred euros a year. The measure is part of a wider plan to reduce congestion sales from the existing tickets amount to forty one million euros a year which the authorities said represented just eight percent of the annual budget of five hundred million euros. This will now be met.
