"It's time for Dan and RC. I'm in my zone. This is actually my favorite date that we've ever done this. Kevin bayard may have picked off dance two favorite quarterbacks in the last two weeks. Thought we were close. So DB's like you can't put hands on me at the line of scrim I don't know what the hell they're playing. Is actually where he's not supposed to be. Condensed splits, big posts, teddies. This what they wanted. This what they think. I'm in my zone. Listen, just because we're at the seaport, doesn't mean it's not touchscreen, Tuesday. And y'all know where this was supposed to be. We were supposed to be talking about the goat Brady and the way that he shredded the Dallas Cowboys, but they had some tricks up their sleeves, whether it was 5 man or four man front. They were gonna add an extra blitzer and play defense behind it. And my goodness did it work on the goat. Two clips. Dan Quinn really treated second down like third down. That's when he got creative with his rushes. So when we break the huddle, the first thing we do, quarterbacks, offensive line. We get to the line of scrim as you go, what's our front right now, this looks like a one, two, three, four, 5 man front. We gotta make sure my 5 gigs, which are my 5 offensive linemen, block the 5 guys that we don't want you to notice. Here on the side, we have Lake van der Rex playing in and up top. We also have another backing bar. We have Michael Parsons here who we know is the guy that they want to rush and we're going to create a blitz type pressure without losing out men up front that we drop now into coverage so we can still have eyes on the courtroom and that's where you messed me up is because your four defensive lineman what we call bigs are now inside. He's now a big off the ball, but my offensive line is really going to go to the 5 guys at the line of screaming. The second thing is this RC. Right now, this to me is a quarterback. It kind of looks like what we're going to call covered three or cover one single high at them. So here's what slick. It's actually going to be a two deep zone, but by dropping the Malik hooker into this spot as the middle runner, you're going to get a 3D type look. So now you can't pressure up the middle. Here's what's important though. Light and van der eston Anthony Barr, they're going to draw the tackle, which is going to leave Michael Parsons one on one with the backer. I mean, with the running back and Leonard fournette and we think we can win that every single time. That's the terrible situation for me. I just told everybody, Michael parson is one of the best passers in the NFL, right? I want offensive lineman to block him, but you talked about this RC. This is a cover to look. So zone, I got 7 guys. You have 7 guys dropping in coverage and you mentioned it. Micah Parsons, one of the best pass rushers in the league, trying to get blocked by Leonard fournette, impossible job for that veteran tailback to go. You got your cover two, droppers, nowhere to throw the football. That's second and down. Dan quince said, if I get him the third down, the game's going to be over. Very next look, you're going to get a four man front for me again. I walk up to the line of scrimmage. I got four men front with two linebackers dropped off the football. So now here's what's great, right? We're going to have guys lined up three across right here. So they're going to have to figure out on the move exactly what the call is. Here's the genius and what Dan Quinn was able to do. This is Trayvon dick. Yeah. We're thinking that if Trayvon dick ended up being the slot defender on Mike, Evans, that you're a man. Exactly. He's not an inside corner. Exactly. So I'm thinking man coverage. Again, I got my 5 offensive lineman. I want them to block these four defensive linemen and then maybe one of those backers. Here's Dan coin again, what he does. He drops those two defensive linemen. Again, dropping those two defensive lines. Squat corner. Cover two safety. This defender drops down and there's that matchup problem for me as an offense. So so you get the exact same thing that you got on the first call, but now what we're doing is we're going to defend deep by coverage. We have two guys high and we're going to get the pressure by Michael Parsons up the middle. When you drop these two guys in the apex, you're telling Tom Brady. You have to check it down in order to make a play. Here's Jay Ron curse on the outside as well. They're making the Tampa Bay Buccaneers adjust to them by personnel instead of the other way around. And this is why I want to go back and show everybody this because everybody at home might be watching this and go, well, he's got the tight end wide open. Yes, he's going to have this tight end. We want to attack cover two. He's going to have that tight end, bending on that seam. It's a beautiful job design wise. The reality is this. There's that linebacker beating a tailback again in protection. Tom Brady has no option to throw the football to because of the pressure by van der esh and him getting his left hand up. And while that tight end open, that match up pressure again is what gets me off the field. Here's why this is intelligent. What's the weight of pressure Tom Brady? You want to put pressure into the face of Tom Brady in the middle of the defensive line. You were able to do that by adding a linebacker. Also, what was the only way to create explosive plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? Get your best guy matched up on the second cornerback of the Dallas Cowboys who was now daron Vlad. Dan Quinn went to his playbook and said, you know what? We're going to use our best rooms and our best positions against the best player that's ever lived. And right now, that best player might be headed to Vegas or maybe even home. Oh, more on that coming a little bit later. Nice little teaser there RC and taking a Dan Quinn. Yeah, I would say the two ways are starting quarterback, so I don't know how we could say any more clearly we've been that way. Through this season and what he's done. And what Mike and tua will Chandler, the coaching staff have all done. They've all worked tremendously hard. All of them together. So Mena and Marcus, it is worth pointing out that yesterday Adam Schefter reported that the medical staff at Miami and other doctors that I've been consulted say that is not likely to suffer more concussions, according to their evaluation. Of course, we have to keep an eye on that. But either way, Mina, does it make sense for the dolphins to stand pat at quarterback? Well, I think he certainly deserves another chance next season. It provided, of course, that to a ten by my loaf feels that it's safe enough for him to play football. This offense was rolling when he was under center. There was some challenges even before he got hurt and I was actually I really wanted to see how tua and Mike mcdaniel would adjust to the way defenses were playing that. We didn't really get to see that. So I think next season they can learn a lot about, okay, defenses have gotten a lot better at playing this particular offer once with Tyree killing Jalen waddle. Let's see how tua adjusts. But I also understand some hesitation about anything beyond next year, given the injury history. And it feels very touch and go at the moment. I think they need to be in the quarterback market dissolved season. And it's really about what quarterbacks though. Like who's available for you, that things you gives you a chance. Look, we can't get rid of what we saw. And we know too it came into the league with some injury history. And when you're a general marriage, and look, kudos to Chris grit, to a plate well enough to earn what you just said, it may not earn another opportunity to continue to prove himself as the quarterback. But when we get to the point where we start talking about injuries availability, at times, like, is this good enough for toe to toe with Josh Allen and the rest of this division when you continue to go forward? I don't believe that the dolphins saw what they saw this year. Especially with the concussions and thinking about tours availability, seeing where they were after the fact, right? Teddy Bridgewater was a good backup. But all backups are not equal when it comes to this specific scheme. I think they need to really take a hard look at one do we get another quarterback to protect to or do we get a guy that's going to raise the level of play with what we did in the off season to acquire some of these guys like tyreek hill, tearing on stead and on the defensive side Bradley Chubb as well. At the end of the day, you hope just two of the guy is okay. Yeah, that's it. Paramount for him and his family. The dolphins went 8 and four, by the way, in games that two chunk of by lowest started in finished compared to one in 5 in games that he missed

"Two guys will emerge out of all these receivers? Or will he become more of a spread the wealth kind of quarterback? Until I see differently, I'm going to assume two guys. And another reason I'm going to assume that for this year is because it's not like he's had a lot of chances to get comfortable with everybody because this is his first season here. So it's one of those things where could I see it being differently ultimately in this scheme? Yes, but I've got to actually see it be different and right now sort of the way things are trending in terms of how players are going to be used and who's going to be shuffling in and out, it probably does tilt toward court with something Jerry Judy being one and two and then everybody else kind of falling in among behind them. Interesting because I was going to ask you about that. Jerry Judy, I think Portland Sutton obviously feels like one of those guys. A lot of people, if you look at the quote unquote, I don't know. The national media and the fantasy people, they think Jerry Judy is about ready to have a bust out season. I have my concerns. I have my doubts about that. Where are you confidence level wise that jury Judy is going to finally break out and be the guy that he was drafted to be 15th overall? Well, I mean, if we're talking about him having a season where he's a top ten wide receiver in production, I don't think it gets that far. I think I have a confidence that he's going to have a decent to good season. And by that, I think you're talking about somebody who probably has 50 to 70 catches, maybe doesn't get to a thousand yards, but gets somewhere in that 8 to 9 hundred yard range. Basically, reasonably reasonably productive but not earth shattering. And I think that's kind of, I think that's where he's going to, he's going to end up. I mean, probably unless we see something more, I think it's the kind of season where he's fine. I think in the grand scheme of NFL receivers fairly productive, but maybe not what we were talking about expecting when he walked in the door two years ago. Busy with information are senior Bronco writer at Denver fan dot com. What are your takeaways from the rather sudden release of Joe schobert, who was brought in just last week? Yeah. I think honestly, if the NFL is merciless, another example of what sherry glanville said many years ago stands for not for long. I'm a little surprised they didn't give him one more game. He did struggle badly. Let's be honest, he did not. That was not good film that he put out there. In Buffalo on Saturday. And I actually, I talked to him for a little bit after the game. He spoke of how basically, look, I mean, it's a new scheme. It's my 17th scheme in 7 years. I feel like I'm going to have it down pretty soon. And but at this point, what he thought he was doing, what he thought the problem was was that he was thinking rather than reacting and when you think that means you're trying to take that extra second or so to process what's happening and there are a couple of those plays where it just seemed like to me watching he was he was just late getting involved and he missed attack on the backfield. He was just a little bit late a little bit slow and I think if he got to the point beyond that where he was just reacting and stuff, thinking because he knew his role in the scheme, then it might not have turned out that way. Okay, so can I just jump in real quick? So his arrival on top of the Broncos showing interest in Anthony Barr was an acknowledgment that what we have going on and inside linebacker we're not satisfied with and then one week later, a guy that you brought in as a sign that you weren't satisfied is gone. So where does that leave us? I mean, it basically leads you with if Jonas Griffith isn't ready and while he's doing conditioning work, he's got a huge huge price on his on his arm right now for the dislocated elbow. I'd be surprised he's right by week one. It means basically you got to get ready for Alex singleton to be the base package starter. But that being said, I think we'll probably see, you know, we're actually going to see more nickel looks anyway, just over the course of the season. Because that's where football is headed. So I think part of it may be just overall looking at the situation, looking at looking at what formations they were going to use and saying, all right, well, an overall roster construction, let's say we carry forward south linebackers. If we're going to do that, probably those back three, including whoever is the second starter, you need to be proficient on special teams and certainly Jonas Griffin is a huge part of the special teams out singleton was literally brought in here more for special teams and depth than to be a potential starter. And then justice for an ads of course special team or even some like Barrington way to be on the practice squad has a point. And I didn't know that he had a huge role to play on special teams. So I think maybe there was a little bit of kind of a reassessment. And then watching schobert's films saying, okay, is he going to get up to speed and be viable as a potential starter here? Are we just better off writing with what we've got? And I think they looked at the film and said, okay, probably better off to go with what we've got here. They didn't bring anything in the room that wasn't already there. How concerned are you with the offensive line and the lack of production running the football throughout the preseason? I'm not panicking because it is the backups and I'm not panicking because I thought I thought if they ran the ball better early on in the game than they did at any point in the pre season and certainly that was the point where you had two starters out there Quinn miners. And Calvin Anderson, I mean, he listed a starter. He's probably going to end up backing up. I thought they were so that they had three first downs on the first possession on the ground. And Mike don't have some room to work with. I'm concerned about the depth though. I'm concerned that if you have a cluster of injuries on this offense in line, that it may end up looking a little bit like it like it did. Now, that being said kind of saying, okay, who's on the roster who's going to be there on this team when he gets week one in terms of depth, someone like Luke wattenberg, who I thought, in spite of everything that went on overall, made a decent critical of himself on Saturday. He has been part of the depth of the Tommy muti, who is still recovering from knee surgery. He wasn't out there, and I think it might have looked a little bit different with him with him driving off the line. I think he's being part of the depth. So I'm not overly concerned. I'm not panicking, but I'd say it's fair to be concerned because it looks to me like a group that is learning how to do a new scheme, how to do something different. And as having growing pains as a whole, outside zone is something new for a significant cluster of the offensive line all the way up to the first team. And this is just a sign that it's going to, I think it's going to take some time to get this thing right. Visually with animation, our final question is the most important one that we've asked you in this visit is your Ginger beer drinking experience enhanced or hurt when sucked through a hot dog. Maybe I hate to say this because I'm admitting to that crazy guy at Yankee Stadium was right. But maybe slightly enhanced. I was surprised, but I think I was expecting the worst fellas. That's the thing. I was expecting this to be the grossest nastiest thing I'd had food wise in a long time. And then when it didn't taste too bad, I'm like, oh, this is actually pretty decent. I mean, the key to it though is you got to get the straw on the right spot in the frankfurter. And have the whole center because my hole was perfectly centered at one end. The other end, it was kind of off center, and that's where there was a little bit of a struggle in terms of flow, but it wasn't as bad. That being said, I probably, if I had done it with beer, I would have wrecked, but I'm not much of a beer drinker anyway. I'm more of a Ginger pizza. Did you eat the dog after you drank the Ginger beer? Eat your hot dog straw dog. I did. I respect mace. I respect a huge props, man. Huge huge props to you. Yeah, you know what? I mean, it's there. "You had Patrick Peterson, who was on IR already, and then bershad breland, your other starting quarter goes down in the game and it looked semi severe. I didn't really I should have looked this morning to see how severe it was. But he needed help off the field. Suddenly you're down with three of your best corners. We knew daniil hunter out for the season after the, I believe it was a pack injury in the Dallas game. So now I was unlike you started to think about this or down your top two corners, you're down. You're safety, you're now down to Neil again and suddenly we're having this issue where the Vikings defense is decimated by injury once again for the second year in a row. I thought they played very well. They played tough, Anthony Barr made a massive plan. Man, was that athletic? Where now, unbelievable? Because it's a linebacker, so switch down the defensive end, batted it up as he's getting chopped. He's catching it on the way down. You're getting it in decent field position. I think the 35 or 40 yard line you're saying to yourself, all our offense needs to do is maybe had an explosive pick up 30 yards and maybe we can win this in overtime. But three and out immediately. So it's just a very bizarre offense that's not operating at peak Clint kubiak been gifted this job on his father's name and he's not very good. And so that's partly what we're having here. It'll be interesting to see if this goes completely sideways because I don't think Zimmer's completely out of the woodwork if this were to just spiral downward. He could be very much on the hot seat. And it's wild because a year and a half ago, at least within the gambling community, Zimmer was one of the most respected, and he was covering spreads left right and center. Just hasn't been the case. Although he did get to cash yesterday. That daddy did despite a game day move that actually took it off to 7 and a half at some of the sharper shops out there. And when you look at Zimmer's ATS record, I think it moves to 33 16 and one coming into a game off a straight up loss. We'll see if that manifests itself this weekend. And I know our listeners are sick of us belaboring the point, but they're not may not be a wind total that I've ever bet pain that's gonna be more frustrating win or lose than the Minnesota Vikings knowing how close they've been to winning a lot of these games where it feels all the coin flips have kind of gone against them. So we'll see how things finish out for them. Over the second half of the season. Before we move into lookout lines, wanted to make sure there wasn't anything that we happened to gloss over that you wanted to share as far as observations over the weekend. I decided to subject myself to Texans dolphins. And so that's one that we can address because it was kind of interesting throughout the course of the week the way betters and fantasy guys talked about Tyrod Taylor, you would have thought he was the second coming. Texans were steamed all week from 7 and a half down to soft four. I don't know if there was a three and a half in the market or not but soft for is kind of what I saw. Miami turned it over 5 times. And then Texans still couldn't cover it peak price. That's how bad Tyrod Taylor was. And it wasn't some like tall task. It's a dolphin's defense 26th inefficiency. 26th against the pass. Tyrod was terrible, 6th worst completion percentage compared to expectation. One pass completed beyond ten yards. He wasn't good under pressure. He wasn't good when kept clean. He stunk with play action. 39% success rate for the Texans. Three explosives all game. And so I think this is worth talking about when you have a three and a half point move through the 6 and 7 onto the four, I think we have to throw tire rod in the bad or ugly category. I was surprised that he didn't run the football a little bit more. I know he was returning from a hamstring, but I felt a team so desperate to try and extend plays. And struggling to identify weapons that Tyrod Taylor's legs would have been more of a focal point, knowing that the dolphins defense who plays a lot of man coverage had given up chunky yardage in the past the Josh Allen. So that was one part of the game I was surprised. Didn't play a bigger role for Houston. Maybe the hammy is not quite a 100% yet. Which would explain why you're kicking a field goal down 17 to 6 from the two yard line. Nope, that's just their head. David culley, everyone's friend of analytics, my friend. That's it. Exactly. I just don't get it. You know, I think we talked about this a couple weeks back or like this organization so inept right now in the head coach is. Beyond help. The rebuild there, let's figure out what we have in Davis mills. I understand it hasn't looked good, but there's no talent around him. Why don't we get this guy some reps? Why don't we attempt to have better draft picks? 32 year old Tyrod Taylor, I'm sure he's obviously an upgrade as we know in the market indicated. But what are we getting out of that? Especially if this is the performance. I understand this was his basement level performance, and it's only going to get better from here. It was first came back and since week two, so there's going to be a little rust. But if we're going to lose games anyways, why not get Davis mills more reps? Why not get a better draft position? It doesn't make any sense..

"One veteran quarterback, one young quarterback who got at least a taste last year, starting some games for the Eagles. I've been impressed with Nick Sirianni. I was impressed with Artie Smith and job he did in Tennessee. You got a vibe on either of these two guys as to whether they're going to be successful, And will we see it week one. The answer is a good question, because, you know, I think the fact the Falcons has some pretty good talent. Obviously, they don't have Julio Jones anymore. But We talk about Arthur Smith was an offensive coach. What will that defense do? And that's been a big issue again as we were talking about with the Cowboys. That's been a big issue with the Falcons and the Eagles. It looks like they've got some help in their offensive line, which is which which should be very important. I was a little taken aback by the by the money. They gave this tackle. My lotta, who's hardly played in the league. I thought that was pretty wild contract. He just got in the last day or two, but they have the guys back that missed a lot of time. Last year, Lane Johnson and Brandon Brooks and and and and the and Dillard's. So if they can keep that line together, then I think that you know they you know they can be improved from last year. But I still wonder Jodi about the offensive talent they have. Around a quarter back in jail and hurts who Did not complete a large percentage of his passes at last season, and so he's got to be a lot better with that accuracy if he's going to be the quarterback for the Long term, and Philadelphia Fair enough Good game early on Sunday is the steel is in the bills. One at left tackle of fourth round pick Dan More, and then their third round pick Kendrick Green. They're starting at center. They only have one offensive lineman that was a starter last year back With the team and so That's that's a big question is, how quickly does that offensive line come together? And that usually doesn't happen overnight. It usually hasn't happened with just to, you know, three preseason games rather And not having a whole lot of practices and pads during training camp, So that's you know, it's always important to get also a pretty good start in this league and in that division. It's a tough one. Although Baltimore is going to be affected by All the running backs that they lost in preseason. But how that line plays early. I think it is going to tell the tale of how the season goes for the Steelers. One guy would have liked to see a longer look at in the preseason. Is your borough who is pretty good last year before he went down with the injury looked like he deserved to be the number one overall pick. But a lot of people have questions about how long it's going to take him to get back where he feels comfortable playing on that knee. They are home to open the season against a team that's beatable. I think the Vikings unbeatable, but that's only borrow can play like burrow. Do you think you can play like burrow? Yeah. No, you're You're absolutely right. Will he do it coming out of the box? It's hard to it's hard to really predict. And, of course, Jamaar Chase, the first round pick Has had a rocky training camp, and now he's talking about how the ball is different in the colleges and the pros, which we all know, but I don't know that's a good look talking about it. And so again, how they can come together. I think the Vikings are intriguing team, although you know their defense them in last year, and now here they are in the opener. They won't have Anthony Barr. At linebacker. But the Vikings are a team Jodi that with under Mike Zimmer have made the playoffs and there's a weird one in odd numbered years. But they haven't made it and even numbered years. They just seem to have this alternating thing going on. So we'll see. If that pattern continues. This year. They do have some pretty good, darn darn good players on offense. And But the defense has to be a lot better. We'll see how much they're challenged by that Bengals offence that I think is still obviously a work in progress have questions about Joe Burrow. I have bigger questions about Carson Wentz, and it looks like he's gonna be back and be ready to go and start for the called Against the Seahawks tomorrow when he got injured. They gave you the 6 to 12 week medical diagnosis, which is always nice savvy. A number of weeks. You can drive a truck through, but he's back even before the six weeks it's only been five and he was full participant in practice. Looks like he's going to get to start to have an officially named him yet, but I expect them to start tomorrow. I watched him play every game in Philadelphia last year. The guy was just putrid. "And hopefully smith junior comes back and he's healthy for next year so let's talk about the other tight ends for the vikings. So you got tyler. Conklin had thirty four point nine fantasy points last year. Nineteen receptions twenty-six targets one hundred. Sorry hundred ninety four receiving yards and a touchdown. I definitely think he's gonna get above that. He's going to see increased playing time. Kyle rudolph is not there anymore. And our smith junior is not there anymore that opens the door for more targets for him. They also the vikings traded for chris herndon last year had fifty eight point. Two fantasy points and last two games actually was productive but that also has to do with the fact that he did score touchdowns in both of those games he had four receptions. Thirty four yards and a touchdown for eleven point. Four points against the browns in week sixteen then in week. Seventeen against new england seven receptions sixty three yards and a touchdown and finished with fifteen point eight fantasy point so yeah it was kind of inflated because the touchdowns but so that is productive and i do think that with the vikings he could be productive. This team. the problem with him is he's got to stay on the field and he's dealt with injuries a lot over the course of his young career and i feel like if he ends up in the right situation is able to stay healthy he could definitely be. You know a guy that you might want to have is like your tight end too. Depending on how the vikings use them because in this offense i think he could definitely help them. Out and kirk. Cousins is a solid fantasy quarterback and is a solid quarterback. I think he'll definitely get him the ball. And maybe he kinda takes over for smith and is the because i personally think of hurting is healthy conklin. But he's going to have to go out there and show it so yeah fifty eight point two fantasy points last year i think if he plays a big role on this team i think he gets above that if if If conklin ends of you know taking over as the number one tight end. I probably say he's around that same total or maybe a little bit below that. Espn has projected at forty four point one so they think that conklin is going to be the guy number one tight end for this team. So we'll see what happens. But that's my thoughts on. Chris herndon so now moving on to the vikings defense so last year. Their defense only got twenty seven. Fantasy points talked about the vikings defense. A lot and i really liked what they did in the off season so they did bring michael pierce and he opted out last year. Because a d- they brought in dalvin tomlinson over from the giants who was a good run stuff for the giants and they also brought back sheldon richardson. So you got those guys coming back to. Neil hunter is supposed to come back after. I think there was like a contract dispute and his injuries. So he's coming back eric. Hendrickson anthony barr. Suppose the comeback. They're two linebackers. They were dealing with injuries. Last year. harrison smith signed an extension for the vikings. And you bring patrick to help out in the secondary. So i like the vikings defense a lot this year. I think they're going to be definitely better than what they were last year and overall they are going to be a better football team because of that so i definitely could see this team making the playoffs this year as long as their defense is back to. What was you know from a couple of years ago. Obviously i don't expect them to be what they were back in twenty eighteen twenty seventeen those years but i do expect them to be better especially after the kind of season they had last year. So i'm gonna say they get way over that total. Espn projected on one hundred. Three point three. I think that's pretty accurate. Vikings team is going to be so much better. They're going to have pass rush. They're going to be able to secondary is going to be better. Obviously they were dealing with some. You know growing pains with some of the young guys in the secondary because they do have they do have a young secondary. And obviously patrick. Peterson is not the same. Patrick peterson that he was. You know four or five years ago. But i definitely do think he could provide some at the cornerback position and you still harrison smith back there so this defense is going to be pretty good this year. I don't want to say it's going to be top ten but definitely could be a top twelve top fifteen defense and they're definitely defense. You can have as a backup defense to i. Guess your main defense. Of course you know. They got matchups early on in the season they're playing the bengals. They're playing the cardinals. The seahawks they usually play tough. The browns the lions the panthers dallas those match ups. I think are kind of favorable for them. You also got the lions again. You have the bears twice. I mean against you. Know the ravens. Against the i mean i guess the steelers would be kinda favorable depending on how the show is offenses playing. But they do have the rams they got the packers twice the forty niners. I think those will be tough. The browns. I think they could do well. Against 'cause it's a home game and i think that they could stop the run and contain it and i think if they stop the run against the browns. That's going to be a problem for baker. Because i feel like baker is kind of like back in the sense that like dak has to have a really good running game and be protected in order to be successful and when he doesn't have that he's going to be ineffective at quarterback and i hate to say that because i actually do like baker and not to say that i don't like back it's just you know he plays for the cowboys and i. I don't like the cowboys. I'm sorry but yeah but i want to do well especially after what happened last year and i don't know i'm just a baker fan and i think bakers gonna do well but i feel like that could be.

Were all dubs except for super bowl because of course they play the super bowl. I mean Playoffs defeated the browns than buffalo. Then lost very badly to determine. We have the favorite. The heavy favorite is the packers. We have them. At our average score was eighty five out of one hundred which is very good. But it's interesting the true super bowl level teams that are seen as favorites. We all kinda had them. Those teams in the early nineties eighties. So it seems like as a group we see the packers as maybe just a click below those great teams but they're still a heavy favourite in this division. The packers the vikings distant second seventy out of one hundred which actually is a little high thought and then the reason why this is so low. This division is that the bears lines are weighing them down. The lines are buried at forty one and half The bears at fifty six and a half. Surprise me a little bit. I thought they would have a little more juice and you guys would be a little more into them but apparently not so the fact that the division has one very good to great team one team. That's a little on the bubble and then two teams we see his afterthoughts held back division as a whole. Where did everybody fall on the vikings. I'm high on the vikings. I thought they were team. Three and a half. I think was like the one note. I took their the ultimate three and a half team and i think that could be better. I'm trying to be conservative. I think they have a chance to win this division. I think their defense will be good. I think their offense will be good enough. And they. I don't i don't see them as to differently than i did going into last year. Or maybe even a little better on paper than than they were going into last year when they're coming off a division title. I'd consider it a shocker. If if the packers lost the division to any one of those teams. But i'm with you. That the vikings to me and i had the i have a couple teams the cardinals just sort of like three and a half type. You're you're a b. plus. I trust you to annoy me long enough and then get completely mashed in the playoffs at some point. It's same old story. I think you guys all have them at eighteen out of twenty five score. And i had them at sixteen. I kirk cousins is the most three and a half out of five quarterback that he's not a three mr three and a half four. He's mr three and a half out of five And i think a little bit more on defense and i talked about it earlier this week that they have so much turnover i think they have sixteen New members of their defense that it just such a titanic task for to now put those guys and get that team playing. But if zimmer who's a defensive guy gets done by two and a half score that should be a little higher also don't have a ton of juice for them. The genetic was only two out of five for me fair. That's fair but they have a chance to beat up on the on the bears and lions and. I think there's a chance all the defensive talent is a huge upgrade. I guess defense where. I'm coming from there. According to our Overly esoteric division power rankings has to kind of eight to ten teams and then two teams. That are kind of afterthoughts here with the the cowboys. The big question is the defense. How that rebounds with dan quinn with i mean they have a lot of different pieces but last year. It was just so horrendous to watch..

The kind of skied off of that even though they might not be as good as that first impression and then you kind of they of live off of that. And that's why we talk about. Why first impressions are important. So i disagree but think closing strongly to like the last impression that young leave in fact they teach that like in like for for people trying to study for tests and stuff like that they teach that like they say like typically the first thing the study and the last thing this study are the things that you'll remember the most everything the middle is just a little more cloudy so and you know the season josh sweat had last year. "All right and we're back here on the gs mc fantasy football podcast for the second segment of today's show. We're going to do a schedule. Outlook for the seattle seahawks and. Obviously the seahawks had a really good season last year. Obviously russell wilson in looked like he was going to be an mvp candidate. But you know kind of fell off. It was kind of a weird season for the seahawks. They did have a good season. Reagan in two thousand four baht when ended up happening. Of course you know. The defense wasn't playing. While russell wilson had to carry the team and then all of a sudden the offense kind of started sputtering out of control. And then all of a sudden the defense you know. They became a defensive team for some reason. It was very strange. It was a strange year but they you know they are really good year Really good regular season but they fell to the rams in the first round. So let's get right into their schedule. So they open up the season week. One at indianapolis take on the colts. I think this is going to be a tough match for the offense. I do think the defense will be okay in this game going up against carson wentz because i went is gonna take some time before he you know gets used to this offense so i think there's going to be some growing pains but i do think that you know the seahawks defense going to take advantage of that and you know. I think this game will be close I think that you know the seahawks offense. They might struggle a little bit here. I think it's gonna be a tough match for the running game because obviously you gotta deal with the forest buckner and you know. Offensively metcalf in tyler lockett. It's going to be interesting to see how those guys matchup against the db's for indianapolis colts and you know you got russell wilson. What is he going to do. i you know. Obviously gotta wait and see. But yeah. i'd probably lean to are saying this is more of an unfair rematch of i. Don't really expect in russell wilson to have this amazing fantastic game to start the year and i don't expect the wide receivers to go off. You know in this game. Obviously last year they opened up the season atlanta. They did really well. But i think this is going to be a tough match up. You got to full capacity crowd. It's definitely going to be tough. So i'll probably say this an unfavorable matchup. I don't really expect people to go off in this game. I think the running game going to struggle. And i think it's going to be a close game it'd be a good game though. Start the year But yeah. I don't expect massive fantasy numbers coming out of this game for the seahawks moving on to week number two however the seahawks take on the tennessee titans in seattle this support twenty-five game on cbs. This should be another really good game. i think we'll start off by saying. Do not start the seahawks defensive. You have them because it will be going up against derrick henry julio jones. Aj brown and that passing attack. I think that's a pen match for the defense for the seahawks offensively. That is very good. Matchup the titans defense is really not that good they cannot really rush the passer. I think obviously the running will do well. I think mcafee anti alaka do well here. So i think this is a very favorable matchup for the seahawks. That's a home game. I think it's going to be a very high scoring game I definitely could see this game being very high scoring so Yeah this affair will match up here for the offense of course for the defense. Not so much. Because you got the old dad running game derrick henry and of course you've got a now deal with julio jones. Nha brown so that's not very easy and then moving on the seahawks schedule is very very hard. Out of the gate to say they got a got a murderer's row to start the year So moving onto week number three. You got the seahawks going to minnesota to take on the vikings. A four twenty-five game on fox is going to be another good game I do think in terms of the seahawks defense. you probably lean more towards finding other options. There I do think that you know. I think the titans passing attack is better than the vikings passing attack by. We'll see and then of course you got you know. Alvin cooking the backfield to These teams have played each other a lot. Less couple years Last three years. And i'm pretty sure. The seahawks won every single one. They have but now. This game is in minnesota. So now that's going to be interesting. So yeah Probably look for other options again when it comes to the defense offensively. I think you know the running game. I think is gonna struggle little bit. I do expect the vikings to better upfront. Bringing guys like alvin. Tomlinson and bringing back sheldon richardson to go. Along with michael pearson. Obviously hunters coming back. Anthony barr eric hendricks. It seems like those well. It seems like the hunter is i. Think coming back 'cause he was dealing with. I believe a neck injury And then you've got eric hendrickson borrow. Vikings are going to be a good team and then you also add. Patrick peterson now to hopefully mentor. The defensive backs yet harrison smith. You know so. The vikings defense looks a lot different than it did last year. And i think it's gonna be you know not obviously not what. It wasn't twenty seventeen. But i do think it will definitely be close to that so i think it's going to be a little bit of a struggle particularly in the running game but i do expect roster do okay. I expect mccafe entire lock. It you know to do okay as well I don't really think anybody's gonna shut them down in this game. So i think it's a middle of the road match up I would probably yeah. I'd probably just say middle of the road but You know because you do have the running game. I think the running games into struggle. But i do think the receivers will be able to create separation and get open and I think ross could do okay here but again. I don't expect them to like the world on fire so moving onto the next match up on this list again does get an easier week for the seahawks. Go to santa clarita. Take on the forty niners. I think this is an unfavorable match up here I mean it's early in season. You know the seahawks day you know they beat the forty niners back in twenty nineteen those folksy grab you know and i do think the forty nine hundred gonna be healthy squad this year Obviously this earlier..
