"W G. It's 7 39 a beautiful morning in the city of Chicago. Good morning. I'm Lisa Dent. I'm in for Bob Surat. He's on vacation this week. Do you use Facebook? You jump online. Let's take a Let's just go around the table here, Annie Maser. Facebook? Yes, Steve, I I do use Facebook. I was kicked off Facebook because I was hacked for about a month. And I just got back the other day. So yes, I am. Oh, my gosh. Vicky. We're guessing Vickie's on Facebook. Follow her on Facebook. Okay, so you know I'm here. Sorry about that. Guys. Answer the question. How often do you check in on Facebook? Honestly, I don't. I'm not a big social media person. Oh, right now, generationally. It's not. I'm not a big fan of social media. Well, Scott Klein Berg is on the phone. He is a social media strategist. How are you this morning, Scott? I'm doing Well, Lisa, how are you doing doing well, and exactly what does the social media strategist do? What does social media strategist there is a good question. It's a lot of advising clients businesses. People just you know the best way to use social media the going beyond of You know, just checking your Facebook and checking your instagram and actually using it to reach customers or whatever the particular situation. You may begin it. It seems like most people, my peers in the industry and friends and They always go, Lisa, really get off Facebook. Just stop it, But I've I've 50 75,000 followers on Facebook. I don't have quite those numbers on Twitter or on instagram. And I feel that you know, I like to engage with people. I just blocked people if they if they talk about stuff I don't like and that seems to happen more on Facebook, right, Scott? Like like the squabbles in ugliness? Yeah. It's definitely It's definitely a big thing. It's definitely a big problem, and I think you hit on a really big key. It's all about how you use it. Personally. I've been doing social media now professionally for 14 years, and there was a time where I would say you always have to be using social media can't afford to miss a beat. Because if you do, you're going to be so far behind. And I have really changed my ways over this time. Just because of the way you know things have modified and changed and now I talked to people about taking Social media detox is and taking the break and doing what's right for your health. So you know there's all kinds of ways of using it. But 125,000 you know, followers. It's good that you're thinking of them. That's an important thing to put them first. Well, because I'm somewhat of a small business. You know, I have my own brand in in personally, Yes, I take breaks, but But if you were advising your clients, you would tell them social media strategy is a very important part of any mom and pop. Or right on up to international chains. Correct. It is an absolutely absolutely It's It's huge, no matter the size of your business, and the thing that I get the most often you know, people want to know where they should be on social media. You know, we're talking about Facebook because of the number of followers. You know, people ask if I have a certain number of followers. Is that where I need to be, And the answer is complicated. You know, it really depends on if that's where your customers are. That's where you want to be. You don't want to just pick social media platforms randomly and people do that, too. But to your point, yes, it doesn't matter if your business is tiny, or if your business has millions of people. Social media is an integral part of what you do every day. So Facebook is a trillion dollar company, a billion users and probably gets more complaints than any other social media platform. Is that fair to say? Oh, I'm sure it's fair to say I'm sure all the social media platforms receive. You know quite a bit of complaints and you know they're trying to keep up with them. I'm sure. But I think that that's probably losing battles to keep up with all of those complaints. Just they're just too big. Well. When I went on Facebook to see how you make a complaint, it seems as if they take it's easier if you're complaining about billing or ads or, for goodness sakes. If you're going to complain about copyright stuff there on it, But if you want to complain about bullying, or you know false information, there's so many forms you have to fill out. And it's not like you can pick up the phone. He called them that they make it virtually impossible. It really is virtually impossible. It's actually something that most people don't even do simply because of that, because of the amount of work that it takes to report something something it's simple right now, as reporting misinformation on coronavirus is pretty much impossible to do. And it's one of those things that really, really upset people. And the thing is, you know, like we're saying before, in terms of them trying to, you know, work at scale to try to fix these things. You know, there's 35,000 people at last count, and I'm sure that number is higher 35,000 people that Mandy help life that are supposed to be there to help When you have these problems. It's not enough. There's just no way for them to keep up. But you're right. It really depends on what the problem is. It used to be. Honestly, if your account attack you had no help whatsoever. Now you don't have as much help as you think you'd want to have, but you still have a little bit better, So they're they're coming along as they go, but it's a work in progress. Always. I want to talk about that misinformation, especially with Facebook and coronavirus. That was a big story over the past week. We'll continue our conversation with Scott Klein Berg. He's a social media strategist. He's on the phone right now at 7 20. W G. M, But we've got to get a check on what's going on weather wise. We are watching for this heat to start building even more than it is already this morning Heat advisory is going to be in effect for places like.

You have take care. Um, look I love Javier Baez in the bases. There's few guys that have ever seen have the instincts that he has, and he's phenomenal out at shortstop. He's phenomenal, putting the tag on, but it's been an ex cream insanely. Tough season for him at the plate. Lost confused. Some people are saying that he just really misses the energy of the crowd, and it's messed with him. And I did yesterday. I was fortunate, courtesy of Red Bull. We had done some work with Kris Bryant. Silly They gave us Ah, hooked us up with a rooftop seat. So I went over. There just was my first live outside of getting too Do one of the highlights of my career, which was sitting alongside Annie Maser and do color for the White Sox in Cincinnati Reds on the road, But the game was it in front of me. But there were a good amount of people up there. And they were trying to route the Cubs on like I could. Actually, it was the first time that I have felt the crowd's so to speak, and there was 50 people. And it was just it. Almost you could just feel is I was feeling like the loss of not having the crowd this year. Like there's that It's a comfort. There's a juice to it. I don't know what it was. Look, they're going to see the seventh inning stretch and they were in there playing the Y M C A, which is the worst song ever. And I hope they banned it from all ballparks for the three people that still like the wine, see a but it was kind of fun to hear the Y M c a yesterday. So I guess that's had an impact on hobby. That's going really hard to do. Or you just run it back one more time. And and then at the end of next year, you trade you. You trade you trade Kyle Hendricks, You go to the bottom. And try to work it back through the draft. Very hard to do. You have no idea when you're going to come out of it. We pick teams around town in the Chicago Bulls went to the bottom.
