And I don't think his point is just I like, we'd I can't I can't be without it. "Radio program Wednesday edition. Glad to have you along. Let's go ahead and welcome in on a variety of topics today. It is the Lieutenant governor of the great state of North Carolina. Dan forest. How're you doing this morning, sir? Hi, I'm doing well. Casey. Hope you're I am. And I was I was sitting down my art. What am I going to talk to Dan about other than what we're going to start with? And there's there's a few different things going on. But then I realized I as making notes, and I wrote the term exploratory committee, and let me explain one of the things did you did you announce this just via Twitter was it announced somewhere else? Facebook things. Basically you hear this term thrown around. When somebody's thinking of. All right. Well, I'm contemplating either running for president or a higher office for that matter. And in your case, your term limited out of Lieutenant governor unless you sit a term out and the potential that you could run for governor while altogether, not unexpected. What in the world is an exploratory committee because we hear that a lot like a treasure hunt. I mean, what is that? Yeah. Something like that. Yeah. Mindy Anna Jones type of thing. Listen, it's it's not even a actually a real thing in North Carolina for statewide politics. But your people use exploratory committees to begin the process to take a formal step forward. Let everybody know you're you're jumping in the race. You're going to, you know, get everything lined up, your and get your people lined up, your finances lined up and start the process, you know, running for governor. So that's really what that's about. And you know, the the reality of the situation is here he January it's not people would say, oh, this is early. It's really not too early earlier seeing all kinds of national racist. You know, pop up people are saying they were running now agrees this because obviously you need that full amount of time to get your name recognition out. That's what it takes that amount of time to improve your name recognition. So we need that full span of where we're getting cranked up. But we all we're also in session. You know, a lot of people don't realize one of my primary duties is to preside over the. Senate and we go into session today. There's no telling how long that's gonna last. And so I have to be there to Raleigh for a good part of this. And so anyway, hopefully, we'll get out sooner rather than later. But we just don't know. All right. Let me let me ask you Cup questions one glove any idea what the the Dan forest name recognition is in the state of North Carolina. I gotta think somebody's Poland. Yeah. It's been pulled. I honestly don't remember. But I think we're probably somewhere in the forty percent range or something like that. I mean to put that into perspective. Whoa. Whoa. But it put in perspective when we started running six years ago the first time for Lieutenant governor zero and then the last time it was about twenty two percent. So now, it's about forty percent. We've never done any statewide media before. So, you know, while you're governor will be up there at eighty percent, name recognition or something like that. They're on the media every day and people see see their name another name but Lieutenant governor's bit under the radar. So, you know. Yeah. Thanks a lot of work to get out there. I don't want to disagree with you. But I think I see right Cooper as much as I see that groundhog, man. He's just for whatever reason is just not on. I don't see him as much and maybe it's maybe I'm not looking in the right places. But all right. And so this was going to be my follow up question for people who don't know when you first ran you weren't the the outgoing speaker of the house or any of the rest of it. You're an architect, right? Drove around by the way. Do you still have the the run Forrest run thing? The was it a banner a bus RV is a small Arvizu that that that was a friend of mine, and we leased it from him for the campaign, and we kind of we kinda wore it out. So I think we ended up paying more to get it all fixed up after it was done than we did. The least the thing during the time we had it. But. Similar? I guess my question is what when it campaign, look, similar if you run for governor. I guess is what I'm driving at very we always kind of thing. Yeah. We always do grassroots. That's our strength. You know, we have a really strong grassroots organization all across North Carolina. And we'll do that again. You know, he's like you said we started with zero your name recognition zero dollars. No, political background, no contacts, you know. None of that. And we ended up winning against some opponents that did have name recognition and had been in politics for a while. So I think that was that bode well for us. We obviously one by a tight margin. First time around about seventy eight hundred votes, I think and maybe sixty eight hundred and then the last time we won by three hundred thousand and we you know, we ended up getting more votes than the president or the governor in the last race. So at least we start with a good base of support. It's not an apples to apples comparison there. But it's a good basis for all right? I'm just curious because you know, you hear those terms. But you mentioned something that's because all your buddies gather to spend my money today. And what are they going to spend my money on? I, you know. Well, no, there's no telling him into coming out of their caucuses have their caucus meetings. I'm.

"Of the entre preneurs host. Daniel Bates sits down with Debbie Wasco who's co-founder of the Albright, the London women's members cloud that launched earlier this year. The idea for the venture came after Debbie met Anna Jones. The former CEO of Hearst with too quickly discovering shed passion for empowering women in business. His part of their conversation. What the club is about is a bigger mission and really links into my background and my career over the last twenty years, which has been very scrappy. Over cocktails and breakfasts throughout our conversations about what life children universe, everything. The big theme was why they're still so few women and actually because we're both doers and because we like building things on the back of a cocktail menu was scribbled project Albright and really the sort of inspiration. There was the very famous modeling quote about this a special place in hell for women who don't help other women. And that's been all sort of guiding night throughout Rennie. The essay question that we're trying to answer and that we think the club is a manifestation of as what would you actually do if the stats are as bad as they are, which is in twenty sixteen any two point. One, seven percent of capital raise went to bat women, one in six people in leadership positions in the KF Email. One in ten women in the UK said, they want to start the in business, but they don't the same sorta stats resonate on a global scale. What would you do? And our answer to that as we think that women need better networks, they need better skills and at least they perceive. That there was a skills got, and we need to cry. This really thorny issue of confidence and resilience, which is sort of the hardest thing and say, what the Albright is? Yes, it's a building or all of these things happen and it takes women who are from the beginning of the day to the end of their day, and it provides the opportunity for them to everything that they need, whether that's hit the punch in the morning or a blow dry or fantastic breakfast or have space for meeting rooms or drink tells evening. And we think that the buildings kinda will say do as to how women who would not ordinarily know each other network with one another. So long with fitness beauty place to relax, socialize as you say.
