"The frustration, but the metro Han ball one is the kindest decision you can go down the pub and set at the bottom people with the beta. I personally think it was a good goal. The matoma non panel when I was watching this. And the replay ruled in. I think that everybody. I thought this is just not even a difficult decision. I mean, by the way, the hanbok one that was chopped off I rock and rolled that video for an eternity. This one was over quite quickly to a few lukes, but I know you were talking about this. It's absolutely bonkers that are fully qualified official and we all make mistakes, but you can look at this one and you can see the stamp on the foot that has a consequence of the player going over in the box and the very least you don't say to the referee, other little ones that are over to the monitor. And apologies, spare me with the apologies. So many things about this that just kind of leaves a little bit about this anymore. First of all, as Craig said, I have absolutely no idea how you watch a slow motion replay of that and not say something to the referee. It's simply beyond me. An apology, we accept that mistakes will be made, but we are because of human is involved. You want to have a minimizing of those mistakes. And even if you put this down to some kind of a human error, the PGM world just coming out and saying, oops, sorry, we got that wrong. Does nothing doesn't does nothing for Brighton, not that anything would, but it does nothing for those who have concerns about VAR. In alleviating any of those fears, tell us why you got it wrong. For those who still have doubts about VR and the need for it, why was this mistake made? Just saying we got it wrong, does absolutely nothing, but almost reinforcing the argument that we are as a waste of time in itself. And then it was brought in and if you're bright, again, this is a 6 point swing between you and spoons. If you're Aston Villa, all of a sudden, no, you're in a catchment where the three points between 5 6 and 7th because village all of a sudden in this little tight chase and pack of the top four, maybe get into the league. So it has huge impact for not just the clubs involved. But for those on the outside and the kind of money involved in the game

"Appears to elbow Andy Robertson after player approaches him here. Play has gone to share his discontent after the halftime whistle. At the moment, hazi dakis will not be appointed for matches in future until an investigation is complete as per the PGM OL who said they'll not be appointing Constantine hut sudakis to fixtures in any of the competition it serves whilst the FA investigates the incident involving the assistant referee and Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson at Anne field. It's a very interesting situation, Mark. What more can you tell us about it? Yeah, I think there's a very unfortunate situation. If we look at now what's been happening over the last weeks with midwich ways is held the referees got an ear match band. I think now that the whole thing is now focused on how players relationships is with referees. If you look at Andy Robertson, for example, is approached the referee. This is not acceptable behavior. He does touch the assistant, but what the assistant probably does is shake some off and what it looks like is it throws an elbow. If you throw an elbow like a player doors, you make the fist claimed in your pull the arm back. So I don't believe it's an elbow. I thought it was more of a reaction to Andy Robertson touching the assistant and he's pushed him off. The images don't look clever, what we have to accept is professional sportsman. It will go through a process, both parties will be interviewed and I'm sure that there will be a suspension for the assistant referee. Does he regret it today? Probably, in the heat of the battle, there was some things probably said, he spoke them off. I don't know what happened. However, what we have to look at now over the course of the next weeks is how we improve players behavior, gorgeous behavior, because what was all over the weekend, we saw court just getting sent off the wooden shake hands before it again. We even had a coach from Brentford amid that he harassed the fourth official because he saw another court from previous games harassing the fourth official. So they would believe they do it. So I think there's a breakdown of communication between the page and well, the referees, and we need to get back to where referees are respected by players and porches. I think they need to I honestly think it's got the stage. And the one shaker we were in here. And I thought it was a disgrace and 8 games. No problem with that. What he got, because you have to make an example, there's been others, but it's gone bonkers recently. We saw a referee and I think it was in Mexico. South America, Neapolitan Negro and I mean, there's been other incidents. But the players themselves, I think there has to be some sort of law looked at where you can't get within a meter intentionally of an official on the field of play. And once you encroach in that distance, it's an automatic yellow Carlos, something like that, because players are getting in the referee's faces too much these days. And it has got better to an extent, but we've seen an optic recently of this happening. I agree with Mark. I think it's an unfortunate incident. I think there has to be a suspension for the official, but we have to look at what the players are doing as well. And I know two wrongs don't make a right. And you cut through your arm up a player player and you can't throw your arm up and official. And it really has sort of snowballed recently. Not just with the metroid stuff, but there have been others. And as something I've done it myself, but more variability referees have never got that close in her referee's face. And I think we have to do something about that. To stop these players harassing and haranguing the officials who are just trying to do the job. And that's part of it as well, but I agree, I think he's going to face quite a little bit of time on the sidelines, the official that has Andy Robertson was boxed at the time when that happened. But what should the punishment for the assistant be here? Well, I think Robertson could quite easily get a four game suspension. No, to the point that everybody's been making about players approaching referees, Bruno Fernández, put his arms in the referee and my recollection was not punished for it. It was seen with caught on camera, nothing done about it. But then you've had a snowballing of those incidents, mitrovic, keto point here, where he went by find above him. And beyond. But if you aren't prepared to take retrospective action in the case of Bruno Fernández, then you kind of set in yourself up for players to kind of approach officials as Andrew Robertson did. Now, I have absolutely no issue if Robertson gets a four game suspension for putting his hands on the referee. The assistant referee. I don't see this as just being, well, we have to kind of figure out the protocols and dealing with the official. As an official, you can not throw an elbow. And I understand mark is a fully paid member of the referee's union. So he says he's struggling to move. I see it as so much more sinister than that. And as the guardians of the game, if you cross that line, so while we can make that argument for Robertson or Fernández of mitrovic about a four game E game, 12 game suspension as of the guardians of the laws of the game from the time you take that action, I think you're setting yourself for a whole lot more. But I'm not going to go so far as to say it never for sure on the top flight game ever, ever again. But I'd be surprised if we see him for at least another season. Well, to try to set a precedent a while back, but only the captains can go and talk to the referees, but it seems it's just, you know, it's got wasps. And the other place. Exactly. And the only way to stop it in a sense if you don't have a course you can encroach is to book everyone that does it. I thought with VAR, I thought we are, we'd see less of this, but we'll see not actually seen more of it of the harassment harangue. Now, these players saw stupid effect. They don't understand. When you see a penalty decision given, or you see a big decision, they surround the referee, and they harangue them and they harass them and they get any face. I mean, if they're not figured out yet, he's going to wait in a decision to be made from upstairs. So yeah, look, the players are but they're officials that fault, but I hope he doesn't. I hope we see him running the lane again as a necessity in the Premier League because one mistake shouldn't end some of these professional career, but it's certainly something to learn from.

"Over. But the first adversity this season more than once before. I mean, after the lost ever and they were losing it Aston vela away from home, they left it late with their georginio sort of equalize these first goal from the club as they pushed and pushed and pushed and then Martinelli got the fob. I thought that was a big statement that had been even the Bournemouth game at home and the illusion against a team that were relegation came back that let go from recent Nelson. So the first adversity before, but I understand a lot of people out there because of the performance in the second half, just automatically think that this arsenal team are going forward. And I just don't see it that way. I mean, they did not play well at Liverpool. Against one of Liverpool's better performances and has not been many this year, but one I've ever pulled really on song second half. And yes, I'll have mister penalty, but there were a few minutes away from taking three points. And you can't play well all the time, so I'm sticking with arsenal. I think it's going to be tight, and obviously it's a blow for them. But they've picked themselves off the canvas before their season and what else they're not on the canvas after that game they're certainly on the ropes a little bit. You're sticking with them, checker. I am. But only just Ian mentioned, they have to go to both Manchester City and Newcastle castle a very difficult place to go at the best of times when the team is playing this well, doubly so. But they entertain Chelsea and Brighton at the Emirates and I think that is huge in terms in terms of them being at home and two of their toughest tests. City also have to go too bright and everything we've seen of writing shows how good a team they are. And then because of the city's success and all the carbs and Europe, they can't even they can't even put this brighten game into the architecture. So now I wonder as citizen goes on if they get through against bang making the Champions League. And then they have two more days in Europe to somehow fit in. City playing every single weekend and midweek the meme have to double up on the mid weeks to get it all in before before the end of the scheduled season. And I think that comes back to catch up with them. So I even if city beat arsenal at the Etihad, I just duel to them going perfect otherwise. I feel as though get over the line but only I think arsenal against sporting club was never a blessing, really. Said to have the Champions League huge games is Shaka mentioned by our Munich and they are going to be epic, you would imagine. There's still in the FA Cup, albeit it's almost a game where they have Sheffield United at Wembley so you'd imagine that's not going to be too taxing. So in fact, I don't know if you can't find it as well, potentially semifinals of the Champions League, potentially. And so it's a really busy schedule where arsenal, they went out to sporting club, which was a little bit of a surprisingly and the Europa League. And now they have nothing. They have the Premier League to focus on there's enough time for rest. And they just give themselves up for the rest of the season. And yeah, those arguments for both sides, but no doubt set the schedule is not going to be an easy one. Can I just add because Craig Craig touched on it earlier? Earlier this week we were talking about the 95 96 C's and many people thought that this isn't swung on the Liverpool game before. We had around field. And I said, no, it was Manchester United, come into send gyms as park, Peter Schmeichel, what I mean teen is the best goal can be displayed with my own twice, won them that title. I will always see Peter Schmeichel warn him that title in 95 96. If arsenal go on to win this league, I will always say iron Ramsay won them the one them the league, but that performance, particularly in second half, particularly closing. Michael won that title for the united. You didn't lose it for Newcastle. No, no. Absolutely want it. Yeah. I checked the tapes. And he should know. Ian, who have you got man city or arsenal winning it? I think you've Manchester City keep on playing the way they're playing. They're going to win the title. But the boys have raised a very good issue there, really. They're crowded fictionalism. As good as they are and as deep as their squad is, if they are playing, they've got an FA Cup semifinal probably an FA Cup final. Maybe all around all the way to the Champions League Final as well. So it is a tough schedule, but I think they really moved into a high again now. They're frightening to watch really the way they're playing at the moment. They're banging in three and four and I saw them when they banged 7 past Leipzig. So they carry on in this mood. I think they're pretty unstoppable. Yeah, let's get back to the game then as some of the moments in it because we're going to welcome in far more referee Mark clattenburg now to talk about some of those moments, particularly in the dying moments mark when it looks as though Liverpool could have been awarded another

"Authorities must use this opportunity to tackle racism rather than punish the victim of the abuse. And it's hard to argue with that Shaka. It is. And it's a conversation that we're having yet again around Italian football and I want to say I want to say the missteps that the Italian FA continues to make. But at what point do we stop seeing now this is toned by the Italian authorities that these are again missteps by Syria at what point do we stop seeing that maybe they're in a little bit of denial around the issues? I'm just saying they know exactly what they're doing that Italian football has pandered to its ultras and a far right. They have authority in football clubs. They have authority in the football league. So while they may claim ignorance or missteps or being tone deaf, they know exactly what they're doing. How you can take this incident around Lukaku and continue to punish him in this way without their being much more than lip service in terms of in terms of addressing the issues. I'm not sure. So at this point, I am prepared to say that the Italian authorities simply do not want to do anything. A happy way with the status quo will continue to uphold that kind of far right approach to what's happening within their stadiums. And I'll go even further to see as long as this continues, Italian football will fall through them further behind some of the bigger, more established, and more progressive European leagues. Nikki, what's your take on this whole situation? Yeah, I mean, I can only really echo a lot of what checkers just said. Do we expect things to change now? I mean, they didn't change when moist Ken was racially abused and Leonardo bonucci. But what frustrates me is the way there's always some sort of equivocation. There's always someone going okay, well, you know, yes, it was wrong that they were abused, but perhaps we still need to see this from two sides with moi zaki and it was Leonardo bonucci going well. He shouldn't have provoked the fans. Okay, racism is wrong. Ridiculous thing to say with this situation is oh well, you still have to get the banks. He did shush the fans. That's not a yellow card, a fancy shushing fans and his goal celebrations for years because it's not even specific to this situation, the shitting the fans. The idea that you have to carry through that suspension just because it's so frustratingly Italian, I'm sorry to say this sort of inherent rush to at the same time as with one hand trying to condemn something at the other hand trying to defend the status quo. And he said, well, of course, no no one approves of this, but the referee was just doing his job. Oh, well, you know, it was just one or two fans. I think they've banned two fans from UN to stadium. It was a lot more than that, making that amount of noise. I'm sorry. I find it so disheartening, okay? I just, every time we do these stories, I want to be able to sit here and say, well, people are listening. Things are changing, but no, I don't think anything's happening off the back of this that's just that at all. I think everything that's happened since this incident happened only reinforces the feeling that we'll be here again in three months time, 6 months time having the same conversation again. Can I ask? Juan quadrata was kind of first to approach her mother Lukaku almost it seemed to me. And defending the Juventus fans. Do you have any idea what that exchange was? Because it certainly got Lukaku very animated. And it seemed that quadrata was trying to defend, which I find alarming on a number of levels. Yeah, unfortunately I can't give an insight into the actual conversation that went on between those two, obviously they're both in sort of straight back well. You've been so interaction tomorrow night in demonstrate by connection tonight. In fact, Lukaku had quite a busy game in a very frustrating draw against any time. I said, we haven't had a comment on what that conversation was unfortunately. Well, Lukaku say it into next season and then Nikki. Probably not. I mean, he hasn't scored a go in open place since the very beginning of the season and for actually honestly think he's playing quite well at the moment again. That's not only time I gave you didn't score but he did literally everything but and I haven't been saying that about him all season I think he played well and in fact it was his involvement his flick on that set up the goal they did score. But the cost is the issue. I mean, you're looking at someone who if it's a word to become permanent would be one of the best page players in order to study out, nothing he's done on the pitch really this season justifies that and the club doesn't have any money. So in less something can be done in this Chelsea are willing to give up a lot. I struggle to see financially how it's going to come to happen. Nikki I was great to have you on the show. "With the belief that it could be a filling match in the league to get to those of the Champions League. So it's the media's fault then Nikki for building Napoli up too much that they lost to Milan. Yeah, look, I think Sparta knows what he's doing, doesn't he he's just trying to deflect the attention or at least the blame away from his players, which of course it's always interesting to see what man is doing in these situations. You've seen Jose Marino take a very opposite approach sometimes in his plays when he wants to throw someone under the bus and get the sense of anxiety into space that I get that's need to drive on and give everything, but I think still let you just wanted to bring a bit of color on back to his good afternoon understand a bit because it was a heavy defeat and just put the blame somewhere else and then get his perspective and say, look, you know you're best in this, which they are. The absence of Victor I've seen and obviously likely a problem in this game as well didn't feature again this weekend, but is expected or at least it's hoped that he will be back for that Champions League clash with Milan Nikki. Yeah, it's touch and go for us, man. Again, staley sort of made some optimistic noises before the game against later this weekend, but he's definitely not certain. And I think you've seen how much they need him as well. In these last two games, obviously the Milan game was a story unto itself. It's almost feels implausible, given how good Natalie had been that they lost a game of thornhill to anybody, let alone. This Milan side that's been up and down. But even in the lecture game, well, just today, actually, it was a really striking how a times Napoli didn't have that fluidity going forward. They didn't sweep this team away that's very much in the bottom half and set it out. And when Jacob Morris might already was injured, sorry, when Jacob banks had already went off in the second half Giovanni Simeone, his replacement was immediately injured. And suddenly this conversation we were having at the beginning of the season, what we really talked about the depth of naturally being their greatest strength, the fact that they could call on us whether or not those players scored goals in the league in the Champions League One games. Suddenly it doesn't feel like that anymore. It does feel like everyone's looking around and going, I actually could be getting Victor back in here because he's the one we need and it is a bit of a weight on this scheme for them. I think if he's not there, it's certainly going to be a big lift for me, I'm going into the time. Nikki, what does your instinct tell you? Who do you think is going to go through to the semis? On balance have to expect its nuclear 20 points clear at the top of the 30 hour they are streets ahead of everyone in Italy this season. But it does just feel like in the last week they've looked vulnerable in a way that they haven't before. And I said this on my podcast the other day. What's coming to my mind recently is that, oh, Mike Tyson quote about everyone's got a plan until they get punched in the mouth. Me and I punch them in the mouth when they played in the league. They beat them thornhill and we're still working out whether or not Matthew really got the answer to that. But on balance, yes, look, I mean, claret Scalia is a sensational player, even if Austin isn't there, you've still got the book gazillion scheme. You still got the midfield, the words you still got Mario Rui and dilorenzo bumming forward from the fallback position. It's still a great team even without him in it. So look, I still think on balance I have to think that dean's going to win a time. It's interesting talking about him though, isn't it Nikki because there's been so much talk as to whether Napoli will be able to keep hold of osi men in the coming season. What are your thoughts on that? Or what have you heard on that subject? I think he'll go. But I think it will cost someone and I'm going to leg because that's how early dinner into operates. He never sells for less than his players are worth. So I think between the two of them again, everyone's been talking our season about our cement and the back of our scale. The current scale here is someone who perhaps I think Matthew will feel like they haven't fully realized his value yet you only arrived last year. He's got time and opportunity to develop and establish himself really playing in a top European leak here. Whereas also meant it's been three seasons now. This is the one where you stayed healthy. This is the one where we're actually been able to see him and then he's injured right now. Ironically as I say this, but he has mostly been available this season and you've seen the result of that by miles top goal scorer this season. I think it's the right time for them to cash in if they want to get top market value. Perhaps he'll feel like it's the right time to move on. But again, he's not going to anywhere because the price is going to be over a €100 million for sure. Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku suspension in the copper against juve has been upheld after shushing fans who were chanting racist comments to the player in that game. His management company roc nation understandably not happy with this at all. They've put out a statement saying that the Italian authorities must use this opportunity to tackle racism rather than punish the victim of the abuse. And it's hard to argue with that Shaka. It is. And it's a conversation that we're having yet again around Italian football

"Buy on our favorites. They think that by on a favorite in Germany, the outsider role they don't like at all. And they just looking forward to this game, they hope to want to see Pep Guardiola coming back. The so far that never happened, and they've got a good feeling that Thomas took a win in the Champions League Final with Chelsea against Manchester City. This is going to be an unbelievable unbelievable draw. We're now there. Now the added spice of a guy called toku will make it even more spicier. But then on the flip side Shaka two hill has just come in to this by and team Pep Guardiola has been with his city team a long time. Is that a disadvantage for buying in this town? I often get preferred to have a manager who's been there with the team and I'm kind of developed as a season goes on. But Byron made this decision rightly or wrongly to sag naga's men bringing Thomas Tuchel that paid dividends for Chelsea, I'm not sure if that was a part of their thinking at all or just we need to close all long-term manager. We need to get them in now. You are looking or the expectation is with a new manager, a little bit of a knee jerk reaction and maybe you saw that against Dortmund. But then but then maybe that was the end of the knee jerk again against Freiburg. And that's a big question. But in terms of just purely from a manager perspective, is it better coming in now and relying on that knee jig or spending some time in developing a team? I think the latter will always be mildly preferred choice for managers. Who have you got going through in this tie Stevie? You got to go be setting. Why? Because the settled. The settled. All the stuff about the two managers, yes, I give over and chuck has said. But there is a reason they got rid of nagelsmann because the team wasn't performing. That's the bottom line. Completely like the guy or not. If the team's performing, we're not going to get ready. And it wasn't. And to bring a guy in and what ten days time he's got to go and not man city at the Champions League. I don't see it, because he won't be able to do much with his team. We talk about getting ideas across. Well, ten days is going to be a magician to get some ideas to any team. And so yeah, I don't see past Manchester City. I just don't see it. The two shared and of course they've got a guy called Harlem, please up front. Well, it has been an up and down week. It's fair to say for buying, but it's just been a downright bad week for Borussia Dortmund losing to buy into classica. They themselves got knocked out of the cop by Leipzig and now yeah and they've got to face union Berlin another title chaser in the Bundesliga this season. Are we maybe starting to see it come undone for Dortmund after such a brilliant 2023 so far? Well, so it seems, but still at home gives you a new Berlin you expect them to do well. But of course, this cobble that we are seeing now, I never understand why le roys and Eddie have touched that ball by the way, but that's another story. But what

"They can strike and fry book team on no tasting Champions League. Can you imagine Champions League for Freiburg champion league for union Berlin. German German Bundesliga going crazy right now. Yeah, it really is so it's going to be interesting to know just how that mid week defeat was received in Munich because there have been rumblings of some discontent over that sacking now of Julian nagelsmann. Obviously, as you're saying, it's a different picture when there has been a lot of very different picture to what we saw in the classico and load the Matthias as well also criticizing the handling of that sacking Yan. Yeah, they got a motto. I love these motto that Barcelona have. They say, mea San Mia, I was like, we are we. So we stick together. Well, you stick together till there is a knife somewhere to get someone in the back. And a lot of materials and Oliver Khan two former legends of German football of Bayern Munich. I mean, lotta told him you're lying. It's not what you did. And there was a way they did it. I think that in a brutal football world and you see the Premier League now, it's a daily routine that you were firing manager. You could say that you know now didn't produce, but it was the way they did it. I mean, they did it over the phone. First, the management of Juul and I was called up by the media to ask is this true that is fired and the management asked Julian, are you fired? And there's a no. And then I had to call by a Munich to listen. It's a fire. Can we call you later? So it was a bit embarrassing, but on the other hand, I'm not always a big lawyer for the management of buying. It's difficult when you are at the same time want to secure you to get Thomas Tuchel and the timing here and people are leaking and in German, they're lower more in every dressing, but four or 5 more. So it's quite a difficult to fire a coach in the right manner. And among all of this drama, Thomas Tuchel also has to prepare his buy inside for that big Champions League game with man city. What are the feelings in Munich about how that's going to go in? Well, first of all, they have a big story about three years at Bayern and the German journalist we didn't get the relationship with him and so on and so on and he hasn't won the Champions League without messy and they're doing the whole story again and he took over after you pink is wonderful, but he couldn't win the chambers league for them. So the expectations are there. They still think that

"AI teacher. You can watch that conversation. I don't know. Just put it on me. It's rubbing my chin. What am I? Let's shine this. Stick it on and see how it goes. Let me see. There's a bear. Let me try this out. Stevie, if you manage Manchester United, what's the message to the team at training this morning? Shaker and Don, what's the locker room like the day after a big loss to arrival? Oh, that's a tough one. I always. Again. Well, I think I think it's head down and get your work done. And do it properly. From a coach's perspective. Yeah, you're going hardcore. I'm going hardcore. I'm not, I'm not looking for trouble. But you better not do it and shift it. Would you run them, Stevie? Would you run them? No, no. No, no. I don't think I don't think running them is the key. The key is making them what art. But whatever they do, the better do it properly. And at the end of these slides, please a lazy pass on an awkward pass, then you post on them straight away. At what stages a player can you start? Relaxing and enjoying the training session. It depends on the manager. Right. You know, so if you're at Liverpool, for example, when you lost, you come in, everything's serious. How far into the session, if indeed there is a time where things kind of get a little more relaxed. Next game. I was in for the whole week. It slackens off as the week goes on. Right. Yeah, the first day is always the best one to get out the road. Okay. But again, it depends on it depicting completely depends on

"Scene. Don't get involved. Didn't you hit the goalie? It was a good save. Let's take a look then at the prediction. Class remember Bruce. One nil up. Going into that tie on Tuesday at Stanford bridge. Everyone is going for a Chelsea victory with the exception of Shaka. I've got Dortmund to go through on penalties in the end. Mario and Stevie have got Chelsea to go through on penalties, Don and Julian think they can do it in regular time. Don, what makes you think Chelsea can score two goals? Well, you look at the numbers and it probably suggests that I'm wrong, but I look at the performance when they play Dortmund, they could have scored 6. And they absolutely battered them. Granted, there's a lack of confidence in front of gold, but I think the atmosphere might see them through. I think it's one of them where I think I look at Felix he was incredible at the weekend, really unlucky that he wrapped across bars. It's a bit of a sub story when we keep saying, well, unlucky, goal, keep a play well. They miss chances. But like Liverpool, at some point, Dan, I watch Chelsea and even though they're shot shy. I still get the impression they're going to give someone a real doing. Now it might not be dormant whether they beat them four or 5, but they're going to give someone a big beaten. So that's why, again, on top of the Dortmund performance away from them and this could have called 5 or 6, I think they'll beat them too. And I think they'll go through comfortably. George, do you think Chelsea as well? I think at some point, it will click. I think there will be a bit more clinical at some point. I still think that they have issues of course. Even defensively with the board in terms of structure of that team is still far from perfect, but surely they've got too much talent on the page and on the bench as well, by the way. For us on getting it right and yeah, I think it could be tomorrow. They would have the crowd with them. That would eventually lead psychologically. It's a huge relief. They didn't play great for the whole game, and they were under pressure towards the end, but psychologically, in terms of relief and just a bit of momentum, a bit of positivity, really, I think this is big and to be back as time for bridge. Again, second home getting in a row, even in a different competition. So again, so important as this one, I think it would play in the favor. Mario, you'll have no fingernails left if it does indeed as you suggest go to penalties. Oh yeah, yeah, but I also, because I know this moment and say, well, what Chelsea is in now. I mean, being there, we had so many times you had moments. But one of the key things is as well is I hope the foreigners also know that because that stadium at the bridge, when this moment happens, it's like one of the greatest moments to be in, but also one of the most testing moments, because they go quiet, they make a lot of noise to get you going, but then they go quiet if you don't perform. But if they can get their fans to keep going, the setting is a great one to be. Dormant is a team that keep on winning. So they're not playing against a team that is not used to not having the ball. They don't mind if you have the ball. And they don't mind if you are leading the real motor game. So I hope they don't get disappointed in the sense of don't pass too much because sometimes I watch you see the tick tick tick tick tick tick and I never go to the end product. I hope they will finish things off because then it will be really enjoyable game for them. And Dartmouth yeah, you clearly playing against a team reform. So I could just mean you going for Dortmund at a moment for you. A little bit of worrying because me and you went from Manchester United against Liverpool. We only two were not that kind of scared. But listen, don't miss a tune of the year Dortmund just keep winning. Dortmund do not know how to lose or even draw a football game. With a goal lead Chelsea will have to come out a little bit and knowing how shots shy, I think as you would, that don't used Chelsea have been, I just worry that the leader themselves a little bit exposed that they start present for a little bit too much. And dopamine make the most of it. I just feel this is a game now, Chelsea, lord home, and the plea inter Dortmund's hands a little bit. Just before we let you go, Mario, obviously you live in Los Angeles, so much to do with a weekend. But this is how you chose to spend what you're Saturday night. Have we got the picture there? There we go. Playing Chelsea monopoly with some sort of dip. You know why? You know why, then, you know why? Because when you enjoy, what you have to also make sure that you're keeping your life. It doesn't matter what you do. But clearly. So I got to play the game with him, allow me to do that. Who

But away from that, it's just like, I don't think most Salah is playing like we normal solar, but one thing he does, he score goes. And that's exactly what they need because even if your team is the performing well, you need someone that score goes. And we're sitting here, we know how many teams are struggling to score at least one goal, but he makes sure that even if things go bad, he turns up. We're talking about Chelsea later, Mary, don't worry. Looking at it, Stevie from Salah. From the last point of view, big games coming up now for Liverpool tricky ties as well, not easy on paper, obviously. You want to keep this momentum going from that 7 zero win, cancel our keep this consistency going. Because you need him to be at that level, don't you? I don't, I honestly don't. I mean, I'm taking your question as this is going to give him a burst basically between now and the end of the season. We're consciously he's going to do something. He's going to school. I don't think his brain doesn't change. And I don't think he's brain has changed from the start of the season. Because he is what he is. You know, one minute he'll stand on it. I mean, let me tell you he gets it. I'm not quite sure he's going to keep up. Right. You know, when a bull, you know, when the ball is coming to him, I'm late, wow, this could either end up in the back of the net, or he could give away. And I don't think he's changed since he went to Liverpool. And they won't think he'll change between known

"And he wasn't cute when things don't go well. Believe me. Now I have to apologize in advance for this next segment, Mario. Stitch up some could say, but let's take a look, shall we at our talents worst results over the years and Mario takes place, not one, not two, but thrice. Our top 8 Mario you take a look at those defeats when you're at Wigan. Check against Chelsea against Liverpool against spurs. Obviously we're looking at this just because it's such a unique position that you can talk to us about what it's like in the dressing room after that and in the days obviously that result after the game as well. Of course. It's no problem. There was that. How do you get over it? How long does it take? What's your initial reaction after it's happened? Okay, when I was a German, I was like a vice captain kind of a Birmingham, but I don't know myself that I would never relegate you understand again in my career, because that is the saddest moment ever. I remember coming to LA at that time. And I just went like, I mean, I felt like a cold turkey moment that I just had to release everything and just come back stronger and better. Come down to weekend, that happened. There was actually a way in a spell that we couldn't win games. So I know what photo was going through. You know, when you lose lose, we had that moment, and then we had a new coach coming in see bruising. But the key thing, I think, when you lose big, I did, I don't go outside. I stay home. I don't want to meet anybody because every fan you're going to meet is going to make a comment. Trust me, it's either going to be a comment of saying what happened that you have to explain yourself or they're going to be laughing at you. And those are the two things we have footballer, there is the most. If someone's taking the joking around with you, and it's not funny at all because it hurts you so bad. What's it like at training Mario? A training, you get it like you got to pick the guys up, you know, the confidence is really low. And we had that and the manager sometimes like, I remember sending near the tax line and Steve Bruce called me. He said, get a play. Get a flame, meaning that I was a right back, but I had to pick the ball up and take a lot of risk, but the thing is that you look at the mental strength of the individual and that's the same with my unit goes through. You look at the mental strength of the individual and seeing if they are capable to do things in that moment when it really matters because the heat is on. And I think that's what I went to. It hurt me. You know, even talking about it, going back to the moments when it happened. Wow, it was a tough one. But it was also a tough one. Your foreign kid coming into a country where you want to succeed. And then you among players that believe me is a lot more people that want to be kept in the united two. So having that feeling, you have to make sure that you always perform. So the feeling was like that. Stay home, work harder and get yourself going and bring the confidence back in the team. Because we had one objective and it was my objective, the owner told me when I signed. He said, make sure we can stay in the Premier League. And there was my only only focus on. If we take a look at that graphic again, we go down to West Ham. Yeah. 7 zero 7 one. 7 one. You and Don played in this game together. The game before that, we lost 5 mil. Right. Played is probably not the right. Right, yes. The game for them. We lost 5 nil at Everton. We set up an in northwest. Wow. BlackBerry Everton considered 12 goals in two games. How many of the 7 were your fault? No, none. None. I blamed them for. Elections of the feeling afterwards. Well, the feeling during the game, I remember having a worldly and shackle in in 7.

"And just give them the way that Manchester United don't tools halfway through that game. It's about so much more than the three points. It's about so much more than the scoreline that I think ten haggis into them. This is the club you're playing for. This is what it means and unless you start to take this on board, all the good work we've done so far may be in vain. Let's pick up on that point, Mario. It was Manchester United's attitude, wasn't it? In the second half, when everything was going against them, that seems to have drawn the most criticism. Yeah, it was a normal. You know, when you're down, you did, you know, in the first half, then I said, okay, we were in the game, but you could see already the way the game kicked off. The way Liverpool stepped into that game, it was just a different energy. They were waiting for that moment, like sometimes you play against teams, especially in England. And we coming into England. It was like the biggest surprise that I had was the desire and the will to win they had someone to play is because in England it is just like that. Even if you have faith someone that might not have the ability then some have, but one thing they have is the character. And I think Liverpool had more character than men united had. Especially when you looked and then the second half, of course, you mentioned that. But just certain things were just not right. And certain things, the things that are not right that always should be right is you be ready for the biggest game in England because clearly, if you don't know about it, someone should have told you about it. And then the second thing comes, when the game kicks off, I'm telling you, it's a great place to play, but it's a selfless lose because they will make sure you know about it. And I think 7 nil. Guys, that's not football anymore. We call that kind of people. Great line is a great place to play sad face to lose. Bruno, it's been getting some stick. Obviously here, yesterday and from other quarters as well, about his attitude as the Titanic was sinking. What did you make of it? Every single piece of criticism he's had is absolutely justified.

"Welcome in, shall we? John Hutchinson and Mario malkiel joins us. Don, let's reflect on that headline. If you're a man united player, how would you react to being having to sit there and listen to Liverpool celebrate? You can't. I've been there myself down. I'm sure the guys have as well. It used to be back in our day that the manager would put the game on on the team coach on the way home when you've been spanned 7, you'd have to watch the whole game again. And you've got to sit there in silence. And I think XR probably didn't exactly the same thing when he made the players listen to the local fans chanting and singing and the goals going in. You can't do anything, you're embarrassed. You're sitting there in silence, you're destined to speak because you know the manager is going to rip your head off if you do. So you've literally got to take everything that's coming your way. Do not make eye contact with the manager. Right. Get your head down. Look at the floor. And unless he speaks to you, seeing nothing. Does this rule? Do those sort of tactics work? Listening to Liverpool fans kind of sink in. I would suggest the headlines probably wrong, but I would imagine that getting the change in room you can hear the cop. And the manager is going to be choking and screaming and talking, and part of what we've seen is, listen, here we go, listen it up. You did that. That's your fault. You're going to change it. That better not happen again. All of these things, the managers are going to be seeing an awful lot of things that are specific time. Just through pure angle and embarrassment, and as I said, the most important thing is head down. Yes. Look at the look at the floor. Don't talk back. No. No. No. No, unless unless you spoke into that's your sport. I think this reaction for 1000 does a couple things for Manchester United. Who have been outstanding up to this point and as I was mentioning, you show yesterday maybe some of them started to believe their own hype a little bit. But then having to listen to Liverpool fans celebrate in that manner. Kind of puts the magnitude of this game and the rivalry into better context. From Manchester United that have not enjoyed a lot of time at the top end of the table before no. I haven't been able to even much Liverpool. Before the season for quite

I've seen from liverpool. I think we know liverpool. Golden played good football. Hopefully they're going to create. The question is what we take chances. And kinda and that's been their mantra. I don't think is going to be an awful thing. Liverpool will take it a business. You mentioned what carlo ancelotti said. You're in club downplayed this earlier but the reverse fixture of this is where virgil van. Dyke got hurt. We'll liverpool's players be thinking about that. And when you stop doing that that affects your game when you start worrying about getting a kick it somebody or gone around and tried to get one on the that's going to affect you as you said liverpool too many other problems where they can. They can do things so i i don't think will have any whatsoever correct. Speaking those other liverpool problems basically been a coin flip over the last couple of months which liverpool we get and it's not really between good and bad. it's between feast and famine and look. There's a clear fight for the top four here between a few teams what one of which up until a couple of games ago look it might be able to make still be but clearly live for sure. But i could see lever. Pull getting a result here purely going to dominate the game. And i think eventually it will break down. Of course they're gonna watch learn these pace and behind running the johnson. That's a weak point for liverpool at the moment. But i just feel with us. Top four limited as real. Fight that lever pill get the job done here and could run together to get themselves in their shock. Everton haven't beaten liverpool since two thousand ten have one at anfield since one thousand nine hundred ninety nine. This feels like as good a chance chances. They're going to get ride. I can assure you you talk about being prickly. I don't personally think was much question back in on the sound. Why he he got prickly about. I'm sure i'm sure he wanted to get in the guy's face not just through a common so i would suggest that it gets a little bit down because straight after a game and and say after the game particularly when you coercion. You sat on the bench. And he's your team. You see things a lot differently for a period of time between the game furnish and maybe three or four years later when you have attained digest and think about. It will look stuff. You have a more realistic picture of what isolate happened. So i do have a little sympathy on this occasion because you straight after a game and it straight after the defeat on on a big defeat. But you steve. It's not a stupid question. It's not unequally trying to get on your skin eight. Yeah it's the timing of don straight after the game. He probably understands that. There's gonna be some questions late. And he does one answer them and it makes them feel bad. He's emotional. All of the things that will be going through has had and some per character is going to ask the wrong question wrong time and then he's gonna get bought after game so again. You gotta have some sympathy. We call come on don. I've got little sympathy because he is emotional. That's why we love your good on bought. But i just think he's been lot while. And i think he's frustrated. I think actually Finger on what's gone wrong. He shot field. He's strong side. Three home defeats on the spins. Just not being heard off for a long time. The lose into all about sides get wins. Got no momentum. Just when he thinks he's crocked that when they win a couple of games in the capital they lose again bryan and it was a bottle of could be two three and he's probably lookout. I think in wet is his team. Go probably what. Can i do it a bit. Better rather than just happened to go. The pressman impressment of asked question. Now i've never stood dead in tech. Larry asking the questions as sorry answered questions after game. I'm allowed to be terrible. No up emotional both professional job. He's been in the dugout along time he must know. These questions are coming when you will ten points beyond man's satan with a game in hand. It's not ludicrous. Should disappear to ask you and call all your team in terms of winning the league. I didn't think it was that false question.

Liverpool Crash and Burn
"Liverpool losing to burnley by final score of one nil a late penalty for ashley. Barnes the difference and this result significant on so many levels for matches in a row without a goal in the league for liverpool a sixty eight match. Home unbeaten streak snapped. You gotta go back to early. Two thousand seventeen almost four years ago for the last time liverpool lost a premier league game at anfield. They now six points off the league lead from our perspective. We welcome in stuart robson shock his lob julian the ron robbo all start with you. What's gone wrong at liverpool. Well in the last few games the final pass hasn't been quite good enough. They played with the fluency today. They go to into some very good areas. I mean trent alexander. Arnold must have had the ball twenty thirty times inside the burnley box with time to pick out across play cross into the box and he picked out the wrong option and the movement in the box. Particularly the first of wasn't good enough. You wanted to come short at times and rather mike dynamic hawksley Was on the right hand. Side is not really a front. Bless we've moved wasn't great in the box amani trying to the runs the deliveries from trent alexander. Arnold were good enough. He should've just been whipping booze. The goalkeeper in the back four and allowing people to mike runs into it. He was trying to pick people up. So they're they're lacking confidence at the moment you can tell that guy moron and other disappointing display from the shock. It wasn't for a shortage of opportunities. Perhaps nothing more symbolic liverpool recently than that. Remiss handed an opportunity and couldn't put it in. Yeah it was a rather ridiculous defensive era that the letter again and yet a lot of ground to cover before taking the chance on and let's be honest as good. As as nick pool was all game long. he shouldn't have said a chance to we. Went for a little bit too much. Pays the crossbar kind of some some liverpool up over recent weeks. They've been getting opportunities. But i just feel too many in that squad seem to have misplaced the shooting boot

Looking back: Tottenham Hotspur vs Liverpool, 1995
"Fa cup like little bit sparkle so far. So we thought we'd take you back to one. Thousand nine hundred tottenham against liverpool anfield jurgen klinsmann score in the winter to see spurs book. A place in the semifinal yorgen and robbo back with me. What was striking when you take a look at the goal is the celebration in the complete ecstasy from those on the bench for the spurs fans in attendance. It kind of brings you back to more of a day where you feel the. Fa cup was was more. Relevant was a bit extreme. I think you know. Obviously if the fans in the stands it's a whole different game and all suffering covid at the moment but but I i mean the experience. I had In those years in in england definitely river meaningful in terms of the fa cup Is a religion fully english. People is is is so important. Sometimes i mean. At least a tottenham my days it was almost more important than championship and And then when it happens maybe by accident that you win you know a quarterfinal game at liverpool. And they haven't won for many years and enfield road then then things are going bit out of control but you can just. You can just see how much it means to you to the fans to your your teammates as well it was going to be when goals spurs and when you're looking back not only. It was a very special moment that you obviously won the game identity. But but i never will forget that at that situation at that moment was just the way. The liberal ville faints basically on so we went to our corner. A lot of tottenham fans were and we we think them and applauded them. And and i will never forget. I turned around and i thought okay. The rest of the stadium is probably gone by because out there for ten minutes or something but they weren't there at the stadium was still packed and then we turned around and walked towards locker room and the whole stadium stood up and gave us standing ovations to liverpool. Fans did that. And that's what kind of i never experienced anything like that before. My career never ever afterwards because It shows you the understanding of the english fans when an away team is that given day a little better and then comes away with a win and they they all know al performance and there was something very unique in my my time when you speak to anyone who's played of that generation genuinely they say it was on a par with championship. Is that fair. It was it was above the championship. I'll give an example. If we played mentioned united home at highbury in a league match. You'd get thirty. Five thousand in the faa get sixty thousand and My biggest memory is an biggest atmosphere. That i played in was an fa cup semifinal against mentioned united played at villa park there was sixty thousand there and when we arrived to the ground to hop us one went out onto the pitch. At two o'clock the ground was full. The atmosphere was unbelievable. It was it was. It was meant to be a tough game. Pitches weren't particularly good. It was played on a bumpy pitch but the atmosphere was incredible. It was it was really what everybody wanted to win. And we could. We get to the fun on fortunate. We lost the game two one but it was It was always sticks in my memory will be the atmosphere both hostile and in terms of the just the noise that came out the ground.

Gerry Marsden, singer for Gerry and the Pacemakers, dies at 78
"Here's another story. I want you to know in the magical year of nineteen sixty three gerry. Marsden and his band made music history. Gerry and the pacemakers became the very first act to hit number one on the british charts three times with each of their first three singles. Their debut head was called. How do you do it. And then came song. Titled i like but marsden's third single was the biggest hit and it was a cover actually of a show tune from the nineteen forty-five rodgers and hammerstein musical carousel. Its name was. You'll never walk away. You may now know this song. As the iconic world-famous anthem of the soccer team liverpool whose players and officials and supporters all mourned the passing of. Gerry marsden yesterday at age. Seventy eight from infection in his heart. Marsden was a super fan of the club and known as a true son of liverpool. In fact gerry and the pacemakers were signed by the same manager and producer as the beatles a local rival quartet that came to know the power of having a stadium completely in your thrall. Norwich stun Manchester City with thrilling 3-2 win against Premier League champions
"Hutchison joins me as we talk about a busy Saturday in the premier league well as much as Norwich place tonight after that massive result darn against Manchester City for the canaries with a win who would have thought it. I just have to you know oh pay homage to our lovely backdrop tonight on the River Thames. Look at this Hammersmith Bridge doesn't get much better than this. Unless of course he goes to tower bridge. Let's get because it's GonNa look like it's is probably not going to get better than that a win against the champions given the injuries that they've had as well. Did you see this. Did you see this coming because I've I have no mindset you all day long I believe but I tell you what I did. See it coming after about fifteen minutes when they approach the game with lows of arrogance Man City. I think they thought I think pep thought this. She's going to be easy three points. We'll just turn up play football. We'll keep hold of the ball will pay Loza possession based football will just play between the lines and score some goals. We'll go back with three points. It never walk walk that it definitely did not work. That's what I mean. Kudos enormous because what we thought was the fact that wants Man City scored. I want that goal the floodgates it would have opened but for somehow they still weren't able to break down. Why is that do you think they're missing a certain emmerick report as well there that probably would have helped them? Oh I think so I think along with probably one or two of their best player LaPorte la season. It was terrific. an emergent is one of the best center often world football so yes. He's going to be a massive miss. I still thought though because I've covered PEPs teams over the years I remember when he was at Barcelona and how much go rhino planes a holding midfielder played him center off on the same. We'll have you Martinez at Buyin so I actually thought you to play on Dino's center off the former Rhodri so that might be a pet might do down the line but you looked at automatically today and Johnstone's and they looked as was on the never played a game of those two especially were all over the place and just speaking on that LaPorte injury of course we know that is going to be a timely injury that do you think it will end up costing city the title especially given how Liverpool are going. It's a worry because listen mindset. You're all filled full superstar so you can identify any given time who you think might be Miss Kevin Lebron's last season but still won the league and still performed at a high level Aguire Heyzer to play number Games what you take out the poll where I I think he's one of the best center off do brings balance being left foot center off plan on that left side also plant life backing play as a third sent off as well so you take him at the equation on all of a sudden Muncie. It sounds strange to say still look a little bit short defensively well interesting. You say that then because remember this is Matt cities. I lost in the primarily since January incredible run an incredible stat that so given the fact that with everything that you just said and this LaPorte injury is it. Are they going to be to shell shocked. Do you think it to go on a run. That's again yeah. It'd be very interesting to have been a fly on the wall in the dressing room. Afterwards pen going ballistic. His players have just said this is a warning. This is a war and you can't any teams for granted or or the Badeah chewed or a touch of arrogance. It's nice to have a environment because it makes you play one. That makes you be confident but you can't take your position. Especially someone. Knowledge is a dangerous underdog because they've got players like Tim O. Cookie and can't who I think's going to be a superstar player they can hurt you at any given time but no one really soldiers coming. I think best case scenario thought I think people thought would win the game. Maybe nausea my goal to and give them a fright but the paper is going to be very interested in the tomorrow morning just before we move on from this. Let's just touch on March for because like you said this was definitely not a result anybody would have predicted voted for them. You know the manager even saying that beating city would be like climbing Mount Everest without any oxygen but they've done it. Can they build from this because as well a lot of people didn't even pick them to survive this primarily season Norwich Fan please. You'd ask Donyell faulk on never ever to change Shange always because you went to Anfield and I was sick and tired side of the press over the weekend call knowledge naive because they went to onfield outplayed Liverpool for probably thirty thirty five minutes of the game but lost by four goals to one so everyone label them naive Econ Hong Kong have this approach against its helps just proved if you style of play and you stick with duck and you Australian your beliefs you can get results against anyone so I just said Kudos Norwich on and a fantastic sean the on them because I'll give them so much confidence because then expected to get results against Mansi liberals they can do that two teams in and a random they must be safe life this season all right well next on my list that I have here because it's twenty nine thousand nine. We use technologies over phones now Liverpool. That's definitely somewhere that you know very well and hold dear to your heart up against Newcastle your hometown team Newcastle giving Liverpool bit of scare in the beginning but Liverpool as many would have expected expected on some how did what matches the city did not be was not able to do and just came absolutely roaring back shocked to unbelievable strike from jetro volumes uh-huh on his weaker right foot as well and smashed into the stanchion and all of a sudden you think in this is GonNa be a test of Liverpool golf with the European champions. They've gone arrogance about them. Where that that just swatting teams away? It doesn't matter if you poke the more you or your so of small scoring early goal at Anfield especially with the two years does this season last sees anything because of the Champions League I think so I think than being European champions now give them the air confidence arrogance where they believe her Jergen KLOPP speak to the press over the weekend in the UK. Hey saying he believed these players but now the play is believe in themselves which is huge on a mentality front because now that go beyond against Newcastle go beyond against anyone he wanted primitive and all of a sudden you poke menu and you smile at them and all of a sudden that's helped players. Just go through the gays and people like Maan who's an incredible. I mean what's He got twenty three goals in twenty nine unreal all of a sudden looking at superstar player. Everyone was talking about Mosala being the superstar fun Daikin Alison even though he didn't play today that building just such a rich squad where you think they all start contend believable with Muncie could be there yeah. What are you touched on Saudi-omani and of course like you were saying everyone has been talking about most most especially after you know the records he has he the and the record breaking man he has been livable so you think that Saudi-omani is a top man I do because I I look at him and I watch an I an analyzes attitude and he's he's strong durable? He's never injured even when he is ill play with Knox. those managers are priceless. the way he plays lays full of energy is hard as nails. He's he's quick dynamic. He makes things happen with support. FEE can run in beyond without the ball is now getting these goals does. He's getting his assists so when you when you analyze Liverpool you think who would they miss the most probably Saudi-omani all right well. Let's move on now to Chelsea because because what a result up against a team that we know wolves can be a very tough team to beat especially at home but you know. Can we get a hip hip Hooray for the Youth Steve Chelsea something that you know I want to say everyone has sort of pooh-poohed on in recent time saying young manager too many young players. They don't quite have have the experience to really go deep in the Premier League. It's GonNa take them at least another year or two but this is looking like a brilliant squad that really can threaten some of the other teams on Credit Franklin part especially Jody Morris so I know quite well it was working beyond the scenes academy level a few years ago before you went to Dhabi so he knows the young players coming through and there's many Moore's boy call James is not it's not really featured just yet who's going to be or could be a superstar so the way francs been brave. You'll have to say that it would be very easy if you're young manager to go with tried and tested rested experienced players but Franks put to one side he still got a good blend is still got got. The comeback who played a part in today's game were injured. He still contact the comeback but credit emmys playing the young boys. He's playing Mason. Mount is playing some more who got a goal today. He's playing Abraham do get in gold and top joint top-scorer and so you know frank is being a very brave manager tuck going in a in a club like Chelsea wherever it's always WANNA come yesterday. There's never been any for room for manages to try and maneuver in the past so yeah. There's a very very good job Jodi Jodi. Let's think of it on that man that you allege that you mentioned just last having Abraham wow three goals today that we know that hat trick that he's going to want to celebrate but I'm going to call it four goals because he's got yeah. He got the job of making the point. When you score three you might as well go with four escort goal any lean accounting methods it just take the fall the four hundred run put it up on social media later match go but it you know I was I was in in Istanbul covering the supercup and it was it was Jerus- dot dot dot game and it was what was going to be very interesting to see which way Frank Lenzi because they bring different aspects of that game as you root very good on the ball he can hold the ball he's into midfield as dream but tammy now is starting to become and he's not quite there yet but he's nearly the finished article where is hold a place getting better? He's very quick a spinning in beyond but more important getting goals are you surprised with the way in which she's just been improving and seems to be going from strength to strike because it was thought that was flaws in his game wealth will the whole to play our thought jude was better player but he was quicker than Jerusalem is an unwieldy down the line getting these calls which is most important for centerfolds. You know you can have all the build up. Play you like banging in the goals. People will start asks the question when especially when you're young plan your and a Chelsea side as I said I've got no take time to try and grow you go in there straightaway and you're banging in the goals and you're playing well. He's in a good rich painful from a rich vein of form there at Chelsea. Let's move on to Manchester United the the roller coaster. I have to laugh because I know you watch that game closely on paper Win for Manchester United up against Leicester who everyone said we're really and truly favorites going into this one you know ahead of them in the premier my league table but it really was not a performance that I would say you could take confidence from it was a strange game commentary on the game and it was almost aside Lester went into the favorites because of the quality players on paper but it's almost like they tried to kick dumpster united and Monday night responded really well Scott mcdonagh a real shift and it was probably their lead on the day he's only twenty two and he was he was Marshall Not Midfield and he was getting around everywhere. He was leading from the front. He was very aggressive. Although Daniel James had another superb game he was very lively off the left hand side rash was a little bit in and out penalty goal but still doesn't look like it doesn't look like a readymade centerfold or so much like learning these game off the left hand side and all of a sudden being thrown is a centerfold she still learning so think to analyze the game. It was one where normally manages try to analyze the performance and that's what they want. A thought today was a case of Oregon social just wanting the three points. That's what you needed just to give them a little bit of confidence and may be in the games come up with. You've got some really till fixtures. Maybe the three points against Leicester will probably not listed down a peg or two and give the money funds underplays a little bit more confidence. Do you think let's run out steamed. You pick them to run out of steam. I know this is a topic that we spoke about a lot when they ended up winning the primarily because again you know they started off so well and nobody picked it to last. This is another you know season where less to have started very well and we see the troubles with some of the other bigger clubs the Monday night is the Chelsea's having their slip-ups even spurs here and there on Arsenal so do do you pick them to to go deep is everyone has expected. I think so think my two teams I think would be calm unless that to try and get close to the top six. I think wolves are not just because of the loss today today but they've got Europe League football which is always difficult on a small squad. I think it's too much for them. but I was quite surprised at how Lester started the Game Brandon Brendan I think might want to see changes weight changes system. He played a forty three one way in the last two weeks. He's played a four one four one and makes Lester be more on the front foot a little bit defensive today a little bit on the puck for a little bit so of an order of Monday night but I think if let's go that time again and Brendan how again to to play assistant ultra and win the thing you'd have been one or two things

Liverpool Sweeps Arsenal Aside
"Alongside melissa ready backing wear really and truly seems to be your second home here at anfield another commanding display from liverpool here in this one is absolutely thrashed arsenal. I mean it was only three one gets on the scoresheet but really and truly that performance was so commanding for the reds and i know that there are lots of questions surrounding liverpool especially after the match against southampton last weekend so male. Just let me know have liverpool answer those questions and put them to rest. I think they did quite emphatically. It was superior performance against arsenal in sort of i've every respect and what i took away from this game as i did from the community shield and really everything i've seen so far in the season is that manchester city and liverpool <hes> the benchmark. It's those two and then there's the rest to clear two-horse race for yeah. <hes> awesome tried something something different today. They actually came with confidence. <hes> a tactical plan that yorgen cup admitted he didn't expect he hadn't seen awesome execute before all where they played a very narrow field and allowed lovable wide and back themselves to deal with all the crosses and it worked for forty minutes now. Why i i say liverpool was superior in every respect is one of the things the side is able to problem solve and once they problem mm soul they have the ability to then pick you apart so joel map scores ahead of from alexander ronald's kona on forty one minutes and in the second talk before arsenal can even have any sort of chance to come back into the game. They're killed off. Quick quick muhammed saw david david lewis and that was it louise. Oh my goodness. We're definitely going to talk about him there because i know lots of arsenal supporters were quite surprised or quite happy actually when they did manage to get him him there on that one but again just talking about pool of course. I know that a lot of people said that southampton just last week. I'm bringing back up this game again if they probably had someone a little more superior could finish the they definitely would have had liverpool there because again. The defense seems to be a bit of a frailty for liverpool. How did you see today even though arsenal of course we know didn't threaten it as much as many would have expected. Probably liverpool's defense has been different. The season the team as a whole have been more open. They've allowed <hes> a lot more shots against them that than is typical for a liberal side obviously their title challenge and their european success last season was built on a strong defensive platform well <hes> part of that is because they are playing a slightly higher line. It's also because it's not just natural. It's the start thought of the season you have to sort of get into that routine and rhythm again. A lot of the players went away over the summer and paid with their national teams who you know us completely different tactics dick's different styles of mocking <hes> and so it's natural for the place to relearn liverpool system. I think the southampton game was obviously the context of little tired from having played in istanbul heats late-game flying back so yeah. I mean quickly quickly before we wrap up now. Let's just spare thought forest on because we have to of course all the labs on the show on e._s._p._n. A._f._c. if you've been watching as you should be watching basically said that this match would be a good benchmark for arsenal to see exactly where they stand in this premier league racist season if you want to put it so after what you just saw now. What are they thinking. Where do you see <hes>. I actually feel a little bit. Sorry for arsenal because like i said they they arrived with a plan that was effective for a large parts. They did create chances says that fell to a boomerang and nicholas pepper who impressed somewhat on his debut but most of what they created actually came from liverpool's eras ariza they didn't there wasn't good bold plan stuff from arsenal just lacking the right personnel the quality. I think it's very difficult to come to add field and play against this liverpool side.
