"I, uh, the Swifties are going to come get them. They're going to come get them. I wish them nothing but happiness and success. Yeah. I, and I, I, you know, I want, you know, there's a Kim K Taylor Swift rivalry. So I'm wondering if Kim saw the Taylor and Travis thing and was like, all right, you know, you want to play, we'll play. Wow. Yeah. Yeah. No, I didn't think about that. Um, no, I think that, I mean, Travis Kelsey is probably perfect for Taylor. Like he's charismatic. He's, he's really good player on that. Shouldn't, shouldn't matter, but it really does. You know, he wants, he's, he enjoys the limelight, I would say. I think he's, Travis is ready for this. Travis is ready for his star turn. And now the podcast is like the next. Number one podcast on the planet. Not even just sports. I was looking at the charts today, not even the sports. It's like taking over. It's like the new Joe Rogan. Right. Right. It is what they've done with that podcast is insane. It really is. It's just so the insight they're able to glean is I just think, and I've said this a million times for it. There's a level of openness and I'd say Chris long is in this too. There's a level of openness that players are going to be with other players because they know nothing is lost on them. And there's an advantage there. And like, I'll be honest with you. There's times where people will say things to me and I'll just kind of like on the show and I'll just kind of smile and nod, decide to figure it out later what they're talking about scheme wise or why they're doing this players know. And so like when Howie Roseman goes on with those guys or when handy Andy Reed goes on, they feel like they can speak at a higher level. And sometimes it gets lost on the casual viewer, but more often than not, it's really, really interesting. And like their openness about their past and like Travis. I remember just a good example of Travis telling that story about going into trying to make Bill Belichick laugh in his pre draft meeting and Belichick not being into it. Like the amount of, I guess you'd say this is such a terrible reductive phrase, but like the amount of IP you have when you're a player is pretty much unlimited. And that's actually something I'm trying to tap into on my show. But like, I can't get there. I wasn't in a pre draft meeting with Bill Belichick. I wasn't in a Steelers pre draft meeting where I pointed out that Mean Joe Green was there. And everybody got mad at me like that, that, that to me is, is the golden goose. And you know, you mentioned Chris long, who I love. I think his podcast phenomenal. He's a friend of this podcast. We go on each other's or we were friends. The difference, I mean, I think what's really crazy. And I mean that in a positive way about what Travis and Jason do with new heights is that their current players, you know, Chris went into the podcast game after he retired to have two current NFL players do podcasts every whatever it is Monday. or Tuesday. We never saw it before. I don't think in the NFL before they did it. And I think that's what makes it. People have tried. The problem is here's the problem is that it's really hard to toe the line. Like Draymond Green is a phenomenon because Draymond Green, and I know, I think this is probably public. It's fine. I know someone who works with Draymond Green at the volume and they're like, you know, it's astounding. He'll be the center of the universe. You know, I don't get kicked out of a game or get in a Twitter fight or whatever, and they'll get texts on their phone being like, Hey man, I'm ready to pod. Like, you know, turn, turn the mics on in five minutes. No one is like that in media. No one wants to run towards the fire and say, let me stoke this. I forget what game it was in Memphis a couple years ago, but Draymond had just some awful game. And he started off being like, Hey man, I don't care what you guys think you're going to get this podcast. And you need that gene where every Tuesday, every Thursday, whatever it is, you're going to give the people what they want, even if, you know, whatever. I think the Kelsey's had that and they're, they're comfortable enough in their own skin. I think they're comfortable enough in their career. They've made a lot of money. They've had a lot of success. They've each won Super Bowls. And I think it's, they're, they're all three of those guys are unicorns. And it's really hard. Like you saw this, I don't know. Did you, did you follow the Patrick Peterson tells thing with San Francisco? No, I don't. So the the Patrick Peterson has a podcast. Right. And he said that San Francisco had tells on their, on their offense. Yeah. Yeah. Right. And, and I think from what I saw, like there was a lot more context to it than that, but it doesn't matter. It just gets shared as Pat Pete said, there's tells man has kicked their ass and Pat Pete's in hell, you know, and that that's awful. And so you have to tow the line, but I also think that like, you just got to know you're going to eat crap sometimes. And that's, that's the one thing with Draymond is, you know, he's just like, screw it. I'm just going to go through it. But, but a lot of guys just don't want that kind of smoke. I don't want to take anything away from Draymond, but I think what makes the Kelsey thing even more surprising or unique than the Draymond thing is it's the NFL where these coaches like, you know, there's no secrecy, like NFL secrecy. And there's no, like, you know, if you're not, you know, the fans think that if you're not studying the playbook 24 hours a day that you're slacking off and you know, these coaches, you know, we hear the stories about, you know, the, the coaches don't want players saying anything inflammatory. Whereas in the NBA, I think it's encouraged in a way in the NFL, like the coaches want everything on the lockdown. So that's why I'd have two current players doing it. I think it's wild. When I was, uh, uh, Bryce young was on my show last year around this time. And I just read a really good book by John Tolte about Saban and how we, how the coaches in it, there was an anecdote about how, Saban basically, he teaches so many crazy things about football. And one of them was about how a quarterback can play a defensive back shoulder placement against them. Right? Just like, Hey, if he's turned this way, whatever. So I asked Bryce young, I was like, Hey man, can you give me like a nugget that Saban has been able to give you? That's kind of like that. And he's like, Oh man, well, there's this one thing. And he starts going and then midway through, he just goes, I'm sorry. I just, I just can't finish this. Like, I just can't. Like, I can't keep going. Like coach Saban is going to get so mad at me. And he realized like, he, I mean, he's a nice guy. And so he starts giving me the answer. And then halfway through it was just like, no, like I actually can't give this. And that's the default. These guys are coached to not give anything. Um, and that's why you see, like, I don't know if you just saw this Justin Fields thing a couple hours ago, but where he basically called out coaches, like that's a choice because every single, and I, by the way, I agree with you. Justin Fields, but every single, uh, player is coached to never say anything. Now, if you've ever heard it, but Dan Le Batard asked Ryan Tannehill maybe a decade ago, this was so funny to just give, give your like opening statement at a press conference on a team that you know nothing about. I'm not going to give you the team. I'm not going to give you the defense. What does it look like? And Tannehill gave like three minutes on like, Hey, well prepared team this week. Well, coach, and it was so funny. And you can tell that deep inside the brain of every quarterback coach, whatever is the ability to just BS for three minutes and say absolutely nothing. And, and I think that when they say something, it's a shock to the system. And that's why I think it's, it's actually kind of cool if these guys want to create their own content because as long as this stuff gets out, we're, we're all winning and we're able to, we're able to talk about this stuff. So I don't, I don't hate it by any means. There's never been a better time for football fans to join the huddle for all the hard hitting action with BetMGM. "If you remember in, uh, in week one, you kicked my ass. We two, I have no idea how I did. I have not seen the lens. So Thursday night we were saying we're watching the Eagles paths game today, which is a pretty physical game. And it was a late Sunday game. And the fucking Eagles are playing four days later. Basically they're hosting Minnesota. Like I just, the NFL is nuts. Um, but they get to host Minnesota who might not be very good. I have the Eagles laying seven points on Thursday night. All right. You got this one. This was my first big whiff. I had Minnesota getting five and a half and it's seven and a half. I got to let go of this Vikings being good thing. I have to let go because Vegas doesn't care about what I think. So yeah, seven and a half is that number. And immediately another tease. Yeah. I think they're going to be a really nice live bet opportunity at some point during the year against somebody who has a crappy secondary because of the Addison Jeff Addison look good today. The Addison Jefferson combo. I can see that team coming back from like 20, you know, in the second half and the odds will be like plus 900 or something crazy. Sunday marquee. I went with Jags hosting the chiefs for a couple of reasons. One was the Jags. I want to say they almost beat the chiefs, but they could have beaten the chiefs in the playoffs last year. They were at least in the vicinity of beating the chiefs. It was ridiculous that they didn't. The guy was playing on his knees for crying out loud at the homes. I'm shocked I did this, but I had this as a pick them. Oh, wow. Jags at home against the chiefs. Well, you might've been right. If the chiefs didn't lose last week and now they have, they have 10 days rest and you're going to see all those stats with, you know, Andy Reed on when he gets the rest advantage. I got it exactly. I said chiefs by three. I think that ends up closer to being a pick them. It's my go ahead and tease the Jags. Now you get a full nine or 10, whatever you want. This is so Kelsey will be back. We think, yeah, I don't know who the top two cheats receivers will be. What did you think of the Jags today? I was surprised they couldn't put them away. You know, that was another thing. I picked the Colts to be like the worst, you know, one of the worst teams in the league. I love their adjusted wins under and everything. I didn't think they were going to show up for these games and Richardson wasn't ready. Richardson got hurt. I thought that was a smart thing. If you have your rookie quarterback in the first drive, you're about to score from the three yard line, make them run it in. Don't hand it off, make them get the fans going, get it crazy. But I don't know. They hung around for a long time, much longer than I thought they would. Maybe the Jags were just going through the motions. Didn't matter too much, but I don't know. Were you impressed? I was. I thought the Colts were better than I expected. I meant to talk about that in the last segment. I thought that defensively they were definitely not like a crap team. Offensively Richardson, you know, he sailed what, seven passes just went flying. But he's, he can move around. They're really good on like third and three, like the shorter stuff because he has his ability to run. And I thought the Jags, like I really thought they made them sweat it out. I didn't feel like the Jags, that wasn't like a week 10. Oh, we didn't take this. It's week one. You're taking everybody seriously. But I thought the Jags like kind of had to sweat that out in a real way. So yeah, they won by 10, but that wasn't like a double. No, it was not a 10 point win. Cause the Colts, they took the lead 2017 and it really seemed like they were just going to win the game. All right. So I'm off on that. I got three watchables. Falcons Packers. The Falcons are fun to watch. There's just a lot going on. Plus as a home team, they're fun. And I thought the Packers are really fun to watch too. I have the Falcons favored by one and a half over Green Bay. You're going to get it because I was even further off. I had Atlanta by two. Green Bay is favored by one and a half. Let me look at this again. Yes. Green Bay is favored by one and a half. See, this is what everyone's doing. This is nuts. This is nutty behavior by the betters. So that's an overreaction to the Bears win and kind of an underreaction to the Falcons Panthers game. Cause the Panthers defense was good in that game for three quarters. I thought Burns played. I thought they were, uh, I don't know. I thought they're pretty physical. It's like they made the Falcons earn whatever happened. All right. Next game. Bengals home for the Ravens. I just have this Bengals minus three. Yeah, you got it. I had three and a half. I went slightly, uh, kind of like, um, not, not that it's a must win, but they needed more, but, uh, yeah, they put it right at three and they're gonna let the betters decide which way this goes.

"Yeah, it is. I can't get off the Hamlin pick though. Cause I think there's a special place in hell that people are going to go if they don't vote for him. I know there's going to be a lot of time removed between the terrible hit and everything else between that and the end of the season. But I don't see anyone else getting it, but you do have to go buy it. He gets votes, right? Yeah. So you're Josh Allen though. Your pick isn't bad because unlike MVP, where no running backs or receivers get votes, it's all quarterbacks. Quarterbacks do get votes for, um, offensive player of the year. You'll see it, right? You'll see Rogers. You've seen my homestead in the past. So that's not a terrible pick. And speaking of guys who get votes, Nick Bosa, I would take him now at 12 to one, because even if he sits out a week, I still think this is good. And if he announces he's playing, this will probably go lower for defensive player of the year. He had 237 votes over Micah Parsons who had 101. So you really have to look at who these guys, and it's the same guys voting every year. Nick Bosa, 12 to one, that's for the incumbent. He won it last year. They give it back to back for these guys. Watt won it back to back. Uh, Donald won it back to back a couple of years. So he has 34 sacks in two years and I think he's going to play this week. And I think he's a really good value at 12 to one for that award. Yeah. It's not like the NBA MVP where somebody could just go on TV and start this whole narrative that completely changes the race in five seconds. Right. Right. I, I, I had Parsons plus four 50 written down for that one. I just think he's the best defensive player in the NFC at least. And, um, your team's going to be really good. I don't know what's going to happen with Chris Jones. I don't know when Bosa is coming back, but Parsons still feels like he might have another half level to go up. Yeah. And maybe this is the year where he's so good. Everybody's like, wow. Are him and my homes, the two best players in the league. Like do we start talking about that? So plus four 50, I like, uh, the coaches there's two coach of the year odds that I love Tomlin's 18 to one on FanDuel and Vrabel is a 30 to one. And those are two teams that I like. And if Tennessee wins the division and goes 10 and seven 11 and six, Vrabel's in there and same for Tomlin Pittsburgh. People love Tomlin. I think he's probably it's him and Andy Reed. Who are the most like just hands down beloved coaches. It's him and Andy Reed, I think. Right. We're like, Todd Bowles. No. Yeah. Yeah. It's those two. I think it's those two. And if the Steelers are good, I think there's going to be a lot of Mike Tomlin. Wow. Should we start talking about this guy as like one of the best coaches in a long, long time and stuff like that. So 18 to one, I thought was pretty tasty. Who'd you have for offensive rookie? Well, I, you know, I went Bijan Robinson under eight and a half touchdowns because I feel like there's, boy, there's a lot of, a lot of assumptions built into that number. And by the way, he could have a lot of, he could have like 1700 yards and not have nine, 10 touchdowns, right? Unless he's going to just rip off 60 yarders at a right to a game or something. So I went under there, but, uh, I'm going to be boring and pick him to win that award. Anyway. What, uh, I like Stroud at 10 to one. I like Stroud a lot more than a lot of people do, but I would take those two. I had this as a stay away category. I like Gibbs, but I didn't like the nine to one. I wish Gibbs was like 12 to one. It goes back to the Gibbs overvalued thing. Defensive rookie. I love Carter for plus five 50. Like if you, with the way people are talking about him, it just seems like he's going to be immediately an impact guy for the Eagles. And, uh, when you get the name baby rhino in August, I mean, so plus five 50 couldn't really, you know, sometimes a cornerback can sneak in there for this, but you know, that would be a pretty big leap for Gonzalez or Witherspoon. And I'm pretty sure Fandle had Carter or Nolan Smith to win rookie of the year. You get both of them. They do. Right. Then we go over that. I think it was five to one. Yeah. So I, I, I just rather have Carter, um, the least amount of points. Hmm. I narrowed it down to Arizona five to one or Carolina eight to one. Would you have anyone else in that conversation? I had the Colts at 10 to one. I'm just, it could just be an abject disaster. The defenses aren't spectacular in that division. So that might, that might be the problem with this one, but I don't want to count them out of anything, um, futility wise. So what, if you had to bet on one of those, what would we do? I like the Carolina eight to one. Okay. I'll go to the Colts, but I like Rams worst record 10 to one. I feel like we're seeing it already with the Cooper cup, like I said, and they're going to be a shell of themselves. And, um, and then you're just like, Oh my, why am I just, I'm betting on the Jersey here and the fact that they won the super bowl a couple of years ago, but this is a garbage team. So it is very strange what's happened to that division where it's, it's so top heavy. Like the two, the two bottom teams could win a combined seven games. Yeah. There's no value for Arizona. They're plus two 50 for worst record. Carolina 20 to one. I thought it was pretty interesting. And, uh, Vegas 13 to one, if you're looking for more long shots one, but I'm with you, I think the Rams 10 to one, if the cup thing starts out and then Stafford, whatever happens, it could be one of those where they just say, screw it. They got Caleb Williams in their backyard and maybe they just say they're, they're smart enough and secure enough in their coach. They won a super bowl a couple of years ago. Maybe that's the team that goes, wait a second, what are we doing? I just find it hard to believe McVeigh would, would tank. Um, by the way, there's some all wind totals. There's a, that I love doing on FanDuel and Rahim is a big fan of Rahim always talks about how there's some of the best value there, but Arizona under five and a half wins was minus two 70. And unfortunately they don't let you to parlay a lot of those. But, um, but the, my, I'm just trying to think of a scenario where Arizona goes six and 11 and that might be the rare future where it's okay. Laying the juice. Right. Yeah. Yeah. That's not bad. I think we discussed that cause I'm, I'm not in love with the four and a half, but I don't think they're going to get to six, right? Six and 11 would be six. They'd have to sweep the Rams and then they'd have to, I'm trying, I'm saying I'm looking at their schedule. It doesn't, they don't have a lot of wins on that schedule. They'd have to sweep the Rams and upset somebody else and they'd have to be, trying their hardest the whole year. There's some exact bets that I liked. Arizona to go three and 14 plus four 40 Pittsburgh to go exactly 11 six, seven to one green Bay to go 10 and seven, exactly seven to one Buffalo to go nine and eight is plus 700 and Carolina to go four and 13 was plus nine 50. So I enjoyed those. What, uh, wait, any futures that you loved? Yeah. With that, the exact ones, I think focus on the North, the AFC North where a lot of those teams are locked into, all right, they're going to win eight or nine or Ravens are going to win nine or 10 or, you know, the Bengals are going to win 10 or 11 like lock in. I think you got like plus five 50 for all of those numbers. And then if you get lucky, you could hit on a couple of those as well. That's smart. Yeah. Yeah. So, um, we talked about this on the AFC preview, Titans, Jags, Texans, Colts in that order. Fandle has the exact orders for all these 12 to one that pays. Um, I love that one. There, there's also another division one that I like Pittsburgh to win that division. You don't, but Pittsburgh, Cincy, Cleveland, Baltimore, and that order was 25 to one. And then Packers, Detroit, Minnesota, Chicago is another one. I liked that was 16 to one, but we both liked the San Francisco, Seattle Rams cards. If you want to have the Rams ahead of the cards, that's plus two 40, not great value, but I feel like you can hedge that with the Rams and the cards. Right. So you just think it's going to be nine or Seahawks. Um, and maybe just hope it's Rams third, but then if it's gets a little shaky down the stretch, you could hedge it one way or the other way. Do you have any other ones of those? Um, I didn't have too many because I feel like we butted heads on some of these, but yeah, you're right. That, uh, NFC West one, that's really one of the few that you only have to decide who's going to come in third or fourth because yeah, first or second seems pretty, pretty, um, set. I'm looking at some of these others. What else did I have? Yeah, they have a, a handle. There's a great thing where they divide it by division. So you could have, I think this is a good one. I know that I'm not doing anyone any favors with the VIG at minus one 65, but Derek Carr to have the most regular season passing yards and the NFC South, right? I, we could see a change in quarterback for any of those other three positions at the point, right? We, we, all right. Rice, young, exciting. Is he going to, is his game going to lend itself to a big passing yardage season? Um, you know, Baker could be in and out of there. And then who am I missing? Desmond Ritter. I love car there at minus one 65. I liked it too. I didn't, I hate the negative odds with the, with the future prop, but I thought I had thought the same thing. That one jumped out of me. So my favorite one of those, I love those division by division leader things. Ramondre my guy is plus one 70 to be the highest AFC Russian guy this year. And last year he was at 1040 and he only started seven games cause they had Harris there, bring them in. And then he kind of took over the job as the game went along as the season went along. I just think he's an awesome player. He's really good. He's one of the best players in the team. And then you compare like breeze hall and Dalvin cook and the jets, who the hell knows Miami situation. That's already in flux, maybe most are. And then James cook and Buffalo, but Buffalo always uses like a ton of different running backs. I couldn't believe he was plus one 70. I thought that was one of the best bets on the board. That's excellent. Considering every one of those other teams you mentioned was vying for Dalvin cook and Jonathan Taylor the last two weeks, right? Oh, how good would the dolphins be with Jonathan Taylor? Like, Oh yeah. Oh yeah. The jets need Jonathan Taylor. Yeah. Well that, that's why plus one 70 for Stevenson's good. He needs to get more than he, he got like 14 carats a game is the only problem. And, and Bella check, anyone to shine in that running back slot, right? Yeah. They're going to have Zeke, but I just he started to become a third down guy for them a little bit as the season went along. I just think he's going to have the ball a lot. I also thought another one that jumped out of me and Ben and she'll mentioned this on the Friday pot they did on ringer. And if I was the Garrett Wilson most receiving yards was 20 to one, which you figure like he had a really good year last year with terrible quarterbacks. And now he's got it. Worst case scenario, a solid quarterback. He's clearly the number one guy. And is there a world, you know, where he has like 1700 yards receiving or something like that? I thought the 21 was high. Were you surprised by that? Yeah, it should be. You're right. And I think there's a lot of good receivers on there that could potentially break this record. Fandle has this, sorry to move over yours, but any player breaks most receiving yards this year, the record at plus four 30 and that's Calvin Johnson has it at 1964. We saw Jefferson at 1800. I mean, really you're a game away. Yeah. Half a game away from, from doing this. So plus four 30 is nice. The other receiver I liked was Diggs. I'm not, I think this is all noise about how he and Josh Allen, they don't speak and everything. I see him having a big year, 12 to one for most touchdowns. He was third last year with 11. He had 10 the year before most touchdowns. You can win it with 11 or 12 or 13, right. Um, most years. So 12 to one, I thought it was good for Diggs. Yeah. There's one hurts. Most rushing TDs was plus seven 50, which I liked because you know, around the goal line, they do that push play and all that stuff. Garrett Wilson last year, how many receiving yards do you think he had last year? He played every game, 17 games. If you had to guess Zach Wilson, Mike white and that scramble guys, his quarterbacks, Joe Flacco I guess was in there too. Eight fifty eight, eight 85. No, what was it more than that? He had 1,103 receiving yards last year as a rookie. Wow.

"andy reed" Discussed on The MMQB NFL Podcast

"It just seems weird. It seems like a very odd decision to move off of Zappi and risk him getting claimed and everything else when, what is your backup plan? It's not even Malik Cunningham. You waived him too. It was interesting. I don't know what your thoughts are, but I was surprised at the way New England handled that. Yeah. You know, I know he came back on the practice squad, and maybe that was kind of like, you know what, we could risk losing him. But that says a lot, right? You're willing to risk losing Bailey Zappi and for the entire off-season, we're all wondering, will he take over for Mac Jones? So I'm probably going to give away a little sample of my story next week. I'm doing winners and losers for the preseason. And I wrote Mac Jones is a winner. He hasn't really done much, but it's all set up for him to succeed this season. I feel like Bill Belichick wants to make sure this guy has a fair shake. Yeah, last year was a disaster with the coaching hires that I made. But Mac, I'm going to do you a favor here. I'm going to give you a dominant defense. I'm going to give you a reliable running game, a competent OC and Bill O'Brien, and we're going to make Zappi on the practice squad. Like, what else do you want Mac Jones? If you can't win with a good defense, a good running game, and you can't improve the passing game. Yeah, I get the targets or the weapons are not as good, but it's all set up for you to do something. And, you know, Trey Lance will kill for the situation, right? Like even as Zach Wilson, the same guys from the quarterback 2021 draft class. So I just view Mac Jones as a winner, but does he deserve to have all this kind of, you know, success around him? Yeah, no, it's a good point, man. And if Mac Jones is smiling ear to ear right now, because Bailey Zappi is on the practice squad. And Mollie Cunningham, by the way, also got added back to the practice squad. So you end up getting them both back. But to your point, like anybody claims them, they're gone. I mean, you know, it shows New England's not too in love with either one of them. But if I'm Mac Jones, I'm like, look, both those guys just got cut. So I know I'm clearing away the number one guy. Number two, I don't have a defensive coordinator as my offensive coordinator anymore. So that's a nice change of pace. I actually have a coach who's on the offensive side who's running the offense. And Bill O'Brien, who said what you want about him as a head coach, he's a good coordinator. And they added, you know, they went out and got Kasicki and they added Juju Smith-Schuster. I'm sure they lost Jacoby Myers. But all told, like, look, I don't think the Pats are going to be the greatest show on turf this year. But they're better set up for success than they were a year ago on offense, where a year ago, Matt Patricia, who's a defensive coordinator who can't even coach a defense, was coaching the offense. I don't know. Bill Belichick, maybe the greatest coach ever. It's an interesting decision, to say the least. Yeah, no, I'm with you. And I'm really intrigued to see what, like, you know, last week we were talking about, like, it's a bad year for the pesky teams to make a noise in the AFC because it's just so low in the AFC. I really want to light the Patriots. And we're going to get into it right now with their AFC bracket predictions. But it's going to be tough, man. And it just, again, all eyes on Mac Jones. And, yeah, you know, even a guy like the wide receiver from last year, the second-round pick, the surprise, Taequann Thornton, right, the speedy wide receiver, he's kind of struggling. So it might be a tough uphill battle for Mac Jones. But, again, like, when you have a good defense and you have a good running game, all you need is, like, maybe 17 points to win a game. Yeah, I canned the ball to Armandre Stevenson. Don't turn the ball over and hope you can score, like, on one or two key drives in the game. All right, look, let's get into it. So we got the AFC preview. We'll do the NFC after this. You and I differ on a few of our playoff teams, not that many of them. Why don't we lead off with this? Why don't you give your division winners in the AFC, and then who are your three wildcards as well? Okay, for the AFC West, I have the Chargers. The AFC East, I have the Jets. AFC North, I have the Bengals. The AFC South, I have the Jaguars. And now my AFC wildcard teams are stacked. I got the Buffalo Bills, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Baltimore Ravens. I'm telling you, man, you wrote the story about the quarterbacks in the AFC. They're just dominant quarterbacks. So for me, I can't pick the teams who are the underdogs right now, but those seven for me are pretty loaded. Okay, so I know the big question under that is, why the Chargers over the Chiefs? Yeah, I know that's going to be the big question I'm going to get for that one there. And it might not be the best reasoning here, but I know it's only one year of a sample size, but I saw the Rams firsthand covering them a year ago and trying to be a defending Super Bowl champion for the longest season in NFL history. They got to that mountaintop, and they lost that urgency. It's a different scenario because they don't have a Patrick Mahomes, and they just unloaded everybody after a terrible 5-12 season. But I just saw the fatigue, and maybe they parted too hard, Sean McVay, and everybody seemed injured. I don't know if I'm ever going to see this again, Matt, but the offensive line had 11 starting offensive line combinations in the first 12 games, and I could not keep track of who's who on that roster. So part of me kind of feels like, well, they've won. You might be right here. I forget what it is. AFC West six or seven consecutive AFC West division time. They've been the big hosted five straight AFC title. That's a lot, and at some point it's like, two Super Bowls in four years, I think we kind of let off a little bit, and that's the only reason I have. I'm not even worried about the wide receivers, Matt, on the Chiefs. I think they have some good players, but it's just kind of getting back to that mountaintop, and it's been two decades since the team has repeated, and I keep looking at the Chargers, and I shouldn't put my faith in the Chargers. I've covered that team for four years, like I mentioned on the top of the show. They're always having high expectations but always falling down in Jacksonville, falling down in Las Vegas. They just can't seem to get out of their own way, but they're talented. They're stacked, and maybe I was out there too many times in Costa Mesa watching Kellen Moore and Justin Herbert operate. They look pretty good, and I feel like eventually you've got to take the opportunity and take that division from the Chiefs, but I don't feel confident about it, but it kind of feels like, okay, there needs to be some type of change eventually. Yeah. Listen, they're to a point where, and the Chiefs I mean, they've won seven division titles in a row. The only team, I believe, that's ever won more division titles in a row are New England with Brady and Bell. At one point they won 11 in a row. I think the Rams in the 70s also won seven. Yeah, they've been to three Super Bowls out of the last four years, won two of them. You're right, at some point you would think there's just going to be a year where maybe they have some injuries or they step back. The one thing I will say with the Chargers here before I get into my pick, they are super talented. My concern with them is always the same two things, their coach and their injury history. They just get hurt every year and then Stanley does things that I just can't understand, although I do think Kellen Moore is a big upgrade over Lombardi and Herbert's fantastic. Hey, this is Paris. So, my seven playoff teams, so the same teams that we have, I'll give my division winners, we both have the Bengals and the Jaguars, so we were in lockstep there. I had the Dolphins winning the AFC, so basically all this ensures is that we're going to get a lot of hate mail from Buffalo. And I had the Chiefs winning the AFC West. I'm just a big, like, you've got to prove it to me. So the Chiefs have proven it so many years, I'm sticking with them. My wildcard teams, as you have, I have Buffalo, I have the Jets, you have them going in the division, I have them as a wildcard team. And instead of the Ravens, I'm going to go with Pittsburgh. I went back and forth on that, because that division I think is the best division in football. All those teams are solid, like, you could even make an argument for Cleveland if you want to, I just think Cleveland's in the wrong division. I just, man, I love the Steelers' defense and I love Tomlin. So my whole thing is, if Pickett's just decent, that team should win a lot of games. Now, I don't think they have the ceiling that Baltimore does. Baltimore, if it all comes together, I think is a team with a higher ceiling. I just wonder, you know, different offensive coordinators, is that a good thing, is that a bad thing? And then you have, like, Beckham, that could be great for them, that could be he plays five games. It's just, it's a weird, I feel like I know a little more of Pittsburgh, so I went there. And with the Chargers, they always ended up putting them in. I'm just wondering after last year, after that loss to Jacksonville, is there any kind of a hangover to that? You know, and then you have a lot of guys in that team that are getting a little bit older and you have a huge cap crunch coming up. I mean, Allen, Williams, Eckler, Mack, like, this could be the last year for all those guys here. So maybe that plays in their favor and there's an urgency and they play great. Or maybe if things start off rough, it becomes almost like, well, where are we going? So I had them at 10 and 7, but just losing a tiebreaker, they were the next team in for me. But yeah, I think the AFC is ridiculous. There's going to be two or three teams that aren't making the playoffs that are legitimately good football teams that just can't get in. Yeah, and you know, I guess with the Chargers, I am banking on that urgency for them to kind of do something. And to even add to your point, man, the GM's been around 11 years, man, and he has never won. Well, I think he won a division title, actually, no division title, no division titles, no AFC championship game appearances. He won like one or two playoff games with the Los Costa Jam. Yeah. And then the head coach, Brandon Staley, might be on the hottest hot seat right now. And you know, a lot of people want that job, too, because of Justin Herbert, so it puts a lot of pressure on Brandon Staley. So, you know, I'm going to say they're going to put it together for at least, you know, a good run. I don't I don't know how far they're going to go, but I think they might win a division. Will that be enough to keep everybody intact? I don't even know that that's going to be enough. So we'll see. I'll tell you what, man, if you're right, though, and the Chiefs, the Bills and the Ravens are wildcard teams, that is going to be an insane first weekend of play. You're going to have these teams at home, having Mahomes come in and Allen come in. And you covered the team, you know, better than me, like if the Chiefs go play the Chargers on the road in a playoff game, it's going to be Arrowhead Stadium out there. I mean, it's such a weird or if like the Bills go to Jacksonville, it's going to sound like Buffalo. I mean, it's just such that to me is everything with the Chargers. It's so hard. Every game's a road game for them. I mean, very rarely, you know, maybe once a blue one, they'll play some game like whatever. The other fan base is not large either, but it's just tough. They play the Cowboys at home this year. The place is going to be Jerry World. It's just, it's so, that's got to be so defeating. You have a big home game and you come out and there's 70,000 people rooting against you. I'll never forget covering the Super Bowl at SoFi and there were as many Bengals fans as there were Rams fans. You're like, how, how is that possible? I mean, since he's a tiny city in any event, it is weird. All right, so who, who's the team in the AFC that you think is not going to live up to the hype? That is a team that maybe is getting too much shine. And you're right about the whole LA being all over the place, man. I've lived there all my entire life and, and I even grew up a Vikings fan. I don't even know if I ever told our boss, John plume that, but I was a big Randy Moss fan because there was no LA team for three decades here. So that, that, that, that makes sense for why it's a, it's a very unique situation, a very unique town. And I'm sure Chargers are probably tired of talking about it. I used to ask all the time, Matt, so I could tell you about how I know they get with that. But as my my disappointment, right, that is a question here. I didn't, you know, for you, you know, you didn't have the chargers and that's surprising to me. But for me, it was the dolphins, you know, you have the winning division and the way I look at the dolphins is like, man, losing Jalen Ramsey is going to be tough. Like, you know, he's supposed to be this big piece that, that you got on the off season, you know, helping out with Xavier and Howard and they have a good defense. But Jalen Ramsey is supposed to be a big part of that defense and he won't be back until December. So that's a long time. What if you have a rough start there and you're already, you're already in the stack division, you're playing the Jets, the Bills and the Patriots twice a year. So why don't you fall behind there? And then I feel like every time I see a big fan, Joe defense, it's always year two. Year one is kind of a transition year and they don't really take off until year two. So if you don't have Jalen and that really kind of hinders, hinders your progression a year one. And then on offense, like it feels like, yeah, they got Jalen Watto and they have Tyreek Hill, but then it's kind of like, well, no tight end. And I get Mike McDaniel doesn't really like to feature a tight end. And then the three running backs, they're really fast, but is one of them really good? I can't figure that out. I know they have the rookie from Texas A &M who, you know, he can't really stay healthy. And then you have Jeff Wilson also going to be an IR. That's also concerning to me. And then two, can he stay healthy? So I think a lot of focus is on the big two there. And I'm not even sure I'm, you know, there might be the best to do on the NFL. Some people are higher in general water than, than I am. I still see some concerns there with drop balls here and there, but Tyreek Hill is amazing. Everybody knows that. So I feel like the dolphins are a little, even with Jalen Ramsey, maybe a little overrated for me. You know, it's fine. I pick them in the division because I like Fangio being the coordinator there and Ramsey I thought was a good get. Obviously he mentioned he's hurt most of the year. Of all the teams I picked to win the divisions in the AFC, they're definitely the team I'm the shakiest on because A, the division's good, B, all the things you just mentioned are fair. Like I don't know if Tua is going to play a full season. I mean, what happens, obviously nobody wants to see it, but God forbid if he gets hurt like week one, what if he gets a concussion? Like how long is he out for? Is he out for the year? Like I don't know, you know, I mean, it's a scary thing. So I do hear you. There's a lot of concerns. My team is Baltimore. I kind of laid out why, look, Odell Beckham's a great talent, but can he stay healthy? Rashad Bateman's a good talent, can he stay on the field? I believe in Lamar Jackson. I am curious though, if they ask him to throw the ball as often as Burrow has to throw it, Mahomes has to throw it, Allen has to throw it. Can they play that way and still have that element of being unique? Because I think the hardest thing to defend about them is how unique they are. And Jackson is such a freak, you know, with his arm, with his legs. Are they going to take that away a little bit because he's been hurt the last couple of years? I don't know. But I'll tell you the truth, my biggest fear with them is just defensively. I mean, you know, Marcus Peters is gone, Kaleis Campbell's gone, Jason Viera-Paul is gone, Justin Houston's gone. I mean, I'll tell you, I was doing a piece that was coming out next week for us where we're kind of looking at everybody's strengths and weaknesses, and you're on the NFC side of that, I got the AFC. I was looking at their pass rush. Who the hell is going to sack the quarterback? It's a problem. So in this conference, I just feel like, man, the AFC, if you can't get pressure, you better be able to score 30 plus because I don't hate stopping anybody. I think Baltimore is good. I just don't see them as like a Super Bowl contender, which I think is kind of where the hype has gone this year. So I love hardball as a coach. I think that they're always going to be a playoff contender. It's partially the defense, it's partially the new offensive coordinator, and it's partially being in a conference where they can win 10 games and still not make the playoffs. Yeah, you know, for me with the Ravens, I'm not going to defend them too hard because I feel like I could easily flip them with the Steelers. They're kind of even for me, but maybe just hearing you right now, Matt, you might have been higher. Lamar Jackson pushing that ball down the field, he's a good downfield passer. I know he hasn't stayed healthy the last two seasons, especially in the back of the schedule. That's brutal. For him to miss that playoff game against the Bengals a year ago, imagine he was playing, they might've won that game. But if you can't be reliable, he hasn't had the MVP year since 2019, which feels like a long time ago, but I just like that they're trying to bring that modern game of pushing the ball down the field and utilizing Lamar Jackson's strength as a passer. I think he gets overlooked in that area. But then we were just talking about Vic Fangio and how everybody's trying to counter the Vic Fangio inspired defenses by running the ball more and who runs the ball the best, the Baltimore Ravens. So maybe they're going away from it a little too early when it, yeah, so, and they were ahead of the, they were ahead of their time maybe with these defenses. And that's the way you counter them is by, you know, you know, doing the quick game and the running game, but sometimes it's good to be ahead of the curve. So who knows? Maybe now I'm going back, back and forth, now I'm going back to the Ravens because if people are all going to start doing the running game and do run heavy to counter these Vic Fangio defense, then maybe the Ravens have something brewing that could be special down the line. But again, I don't, I don't like, can I trust Rashad Bateman being healthy? Will Zay Flowers turn out to be a good first round pick? How about OBJ? Will you turn back the clock? So there's a lot of question marks where like eventually made it, they're going to be like, you know what? We tried it that way. Let's go back to all reliable and throw it to Mark Andrews, whatever, 10 times a game. Yeah. Yeah. Andrew, she's underrated. He's a fantastic tight end. Look, we're going to get nowhere surprises all leagues off. Be quick with this. I already told you. I think they're a playoffs team. Pittsburgh's my team. I kind of laid out why. I mean, I love Tomlin. I think Tomlin is a top three coach in the league with Andy Reed and Bill Belichick. Defensively man, like people don't even know how Alex Highsmith is got 14 and a half sacks last year. They have TJ Watt, they have Cam Hayward, they brought in Marcus Golden, who's a supplemental, like a good rotational pass rusher. They added Desmond King, who the Texans cut. It was one of the biggest surprise cuts of the day on Tuesday. They bring him in. They've got Joey Porter Jr., Patrick Peterson, Minka Fitzpatrick. That is, that's a damn good defense. They have guys. I mean, now the question, of course, is offensive line, how good is it? And can Pickett play? The one thing I can't stand is like false confidence. There are so many people in Pittsburgh, if you tweet out about the Steelers, or just, if you say anything bad about Kenny Pickett, or you question him in any way, the brigade comes out. It's just like, you don't understand the greatness of Kenny Pickett. It's like, I got to tell you, I watched every throw he made last year. He was a guy. He threw five touchdowns against seven picks. He spent five years in college, four of which, by the way, he was mediocre to atrocious, and then one year he was unbelievable as a senior. Fine. I obviously believe in them as a team. I think he's going to be better, but is he going to be more than a game manager? I don't know. I wouldn't go there. Now, look, he's got George Pickens, who I think you pretty much just wailed the ball downfield to him and let him go up and get it. I think the Steelers' weapons are good. Offensive lines are concerned. Pickets are concerned. I think Tomlin, who almost got duck Hodges to the playoffs years ago, can just massage it. Now, I will say, when they get to the playoffs that they do, I think a team like Cincinnati or Kansas City or Buffalo is going to put a number on them, but I think they're better than people think.

"The AFC West. This was the year I almost went under on my homes. It's 11 and a half. And I was like, man, you know, Kelsey and then just a bunch of receivers. Who knows? Last year, they were pushing it. I picked them to make the super bowl last year. I was like, you know what? This is a step. You want me to do my own accent? I'm going to do my imitation of your imitation of me. Okay. My homes is going to be like Steph Curry. You got to work on it. It's going to be like Steph Curry where he just sees it's his show and he's the guy. Do I, should I be insulted? Because I don't sound like that at all. I'm really pissed right now. I might leave. Uh, but I just can't, I can't go against my homes or read. No, I just can't. So I'm going over. I think they go at least 12 minutes from a talent standpoint. I had them as a 38 and a half, which was second highest, a good offensive line. They have four good guys on defense. The Chris Jones piece. If he just says, fuck it. I swore again. If he just says fan, duel it and doesn't come back. Well, that's a weird thing to announce that he's going to, he's going to sit out till week eight. He like picked the, we do hold ins. What happened to this generation? I don't know. I don't know if we were growing up and it was like Drew Pearson's having a hold in. It was like, what? Right. It's nice. It sounds nicer, but he's, but he's picking a specific, it's like a boxer, like Tyson saying I'm going to knock this guy out in round eight. Like I'm going to sit out until week eight. Like, all right, what happens then? But yeah, that bothers me a little bit. But I think this is one of the ones you don't have to overthink. Like the chiefs have gone over how many years, every year that my homes is played, they've gone over their win total. And so as long as it's him, as long as it's Andy Reed and my homes has one leg, half a leg, barely walking, they're great. Well, and they crushed the draft last year. All those guys are back. They always do well in the draft. Yeah. So even if on paper, first place schedule. Yeah. On paper, if you're looking on there, then they seem light here. There's always three guys that pop up and their defense is underrated. Everybody wants to talk my homes and they should, but you know, they held the Jags to 17, the Seahawks to 10 last year. Um, well, here's one reason I really like them.

"But let's go ahead and spend the money because other than that, we have not been good at getting the quarterback or developing one. So that's why the overpayment happens. And I think people, about 75% of the fan base understands that. Well, it's even worse than overpayment because he didn't want to go there. And the only way he wanted to go there was if they guaranteed his entire contract, which had never happened before. I think it's, it's so funny looking at all their, uh, they're gambling stuff because like they're plus one 12 to make the playoffs, right? They're almost even they're over under is nine and a half, which is such like the perfect cutoff for 10 and seven is probably good enough to make it nine and eight is a classic Brown season. They're 30 to one win the super bowl. They're 18 to one win the conference. They're plus 400 to win the division. And they were seven and 10 last year. And then you could go even bigger dude, like on Fandle, it's 12 plus wins is plus three 40. And you could just talk yourself into, Hey, if the Sean's back, this team might be loaded. They got the, they got the biggest variance. So, so I could talk myself into, like, if, if, if I have, you know, one too many cocktails, I could talk myself into 12, 13 wins for the Browns just because I, because I look at it and say, okay, if you got a coach of the year, Kevin, some fancy has shown that he can, he can call plays. He's won a coach of the year before miles Garrett is playing under Jim Schwartz. You look at it, the cornerstone pieces, they got a nice secondary. You got one of the best pass rushers in the league, best running back top five line. We've gone over that bonafide route runner. And we like Elijah more. Um, we love what he's going to bring. You look at that and say, okay, well, you put all that together with that 2020 Deshaun Watson. That's a, that's a bonafide, uh, uh, AFC championship contender. However, on the other end, I could talk myself into six and 11. I could see six. If you, you, you, we got three division games starting off, you got the bangles, you got the, uh, Steelers, Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh. So think about this degree off. We get off to a bad start or so say for instance, Deshaun Watson plays poorly. Uh, and we lose to the bangles week one, you got to come back short week. You got the Steelers. Now you really know it's worse than a short week. It's a Monday night game week two at Pittsburgh. Think about it. If you start off one in three, you know, two and four, how many people are going to be satisfied with that? People, I told them, they had six games to prove it. Um, and Kevin Stefanski is under the, the, the hot seat. And I think that's why we've already turned over our kicker already. Cause I think the pressure's on a little bit. Yeah. They go Cincy at Pittsburgh Monday night, home, Tennessee, home, Baltimore, home, San Francisco with a bi-week in there. And then at Indianapolis at Seattle. And that's probably the toughest part of the schedule. And you, you, you kind of have to come out of there four and three, if you're thinking about when the division, which is a tall task. You got, you got to, and, and, and we peek around a little bit. I've been watching the Steelers. I always ask people, you know, how do you know if you got a squad or not? How do you know the Browns are for real? And I said, well, okay. I always ask myself if Mike Tomlin was coaching his team, what would you expect them to do? I say, if Mike Tomlin was coaching the team, I think that we play all solid day. Okay. Well look, uh, John Harbaugh, if he was coaching his team, I could give you, I can go down the line about seven, eight coaches that if they had this roster, I believe that they would be playoff contenders or Superbowl contenders. So my question is not only is it the staff and not the roster, but also if it comes down to a championship game and I, and I have to beat a Patrick Mahomes in Andy Reid, do I have the coach that can do that? I personally don't think so. That's my biggest fear other than Watson. I haven't seen it from Stefanski. I don't, I don't know if I trust it. I made a list of top 32 coaches. I didn't have them in the top half. And I'm like in the high twenties. It's and I think the knock on him is he looks great when he has a mediocre guy, like if he has case Keenum or he has, I wouldn't call Kirk cousins mediocre, but the bucks still out on him. That's what his thing is. People think he can't win, but he looked great with Baker. He looks good with bootlegs and tight ends and, and he'll run play action. And he has the best looking high school playbook I've ever seen. He had who runs a solid high school playbook, but when it comes to the bonafide superstars, when you got to play a Kyle Shanahan or McVeigh or, or Andy Reed, are you going to be able to go play for play? And you're going to be able to go pass for pass innovation. And are you going to get the most out of Deshaun Watson? Now they've told me, as I talked to people in the organization, they said they put a lot on Deshaun Watson and say, look, give us 40 plays. If you don't like those 40 plays, we'll rip them up and we'll, we'll we'll get you 40 more. So they're trying to be more lockstep at the hit with Deshaun Watson calling the plays he likes along with Stefanski. My thing is, I don't know if they have enough time together to kind of pull that off in a very short period of time. I can't say I've loved Stefanski's game management over the last few years. All right. Since we, we never have Cleveland diehard people on this pot, I'm going to throw some, some Cleveland questions at you. Just walk us through Cleveland's relationship with Pittsburgh. I don't think you, I don't think you've finished the head of Pittsburgh in the standings. What, since you came back in the league, like is it, is big brother, little brother, like not even strong enough to, to say what it is, what is it? Man, it's, it's the, it's the difference between having everything and having nothing. Um, to me, I, you know, a lot of people don't get it. There's, we've lost a generation of Browns fans, um, in our state that, you know, if you would, if you uphold people and you go to certain period of prices in town, there's Pittsburgh Steelers fans who have their gear on. Um, the terrible towels are here and you got to think about it. When Ben brought this burger, I played against him in Miami. I went to OU. He went to Miami Ohio. When Ben Roth, this burger, um, got drafted by the Steelers, it was for years. He had a better, more wins than any quarterback in Cleveland hat and, and at our stadium. And so they would, they would flood and, and wave their towels. And I just hate those doggone towels. I don't like the colors. I just don't like, I don't even play with the Steelers on man. So when you run into a Steelers fan and you tell them you're a Browns fan, they just look at you with complete disdain. Cause we used to have this with the Yankees as Red Sox fans, where they're just like that. Like it, what, it isn't even disdain. It's kind of like they don't pay you attention because you haven't done enough to make it a rivalry. It's a feud. It's a feud. It's not a rivalry. You're like, why would you wear that? Why would you wear Brown's colors? Those are Halloween colors and ugly anything. Like why would you, they never win. Why like more so than ever, we get a lot of you guys are tortured, man. Why do you feel bad? The pity? Yeah. They have pity. That's even worse. Yeah. I've been there. I've been there with the, with the Red Sox with all that shit. But then is Baltimore higher or lower than Pittsburgh with the pure hatred? No, this, this one is different. This one hurts a little bit more because it's like, let me give it to you like this. It's like, it's like breaking up with your ex, right? But then she upgrades on you like she upgrades. She's like, yo, I broke up with you. My life is better. I shop more. I want to got my degree. I work out every day and my new husband is great. He's such a good guy. And you think he's a good guy. There's nothing you can say about it. You're like, you know what? You've completely upgrade for us. It's like the Baltimore we left in 95, Baltimore, you know, they come and they, they, they, you know, leave, go to Baltimore 96. They start doing their things. They get Ozzie Smith or excuse me, Ozzie Newsome, one of the, one of our four file fathers. They get him. We put them in hall of fame. He's the GM and, and, and right out the gate, he goes and gets, he goes and gets Ray Lewis. He goes and gets Jonathan Ogden. He drives head read. And then they went to super bowl with one of the greatest defenses of all time. And you're just sitting there like, how did this happen? This was us. That was my story. It's just crazy. Well, and then on top of it, then you have the Bella check piece. The Bella check thing is even crazier because if you go back, I think ESPN had the thing about 1995, um, where the Browns were built in the roster and you go back and look at that. Right. I think they had current parents. I think they, they had bill Bella check. His staff was crazy. Um, it was one of the greatest coaching staffs and collective of young minds in the world. You know, the Browns run him out of town, Bernie, you know, first he ran Bernie out of town. Bernie goes and gets a super bowl with the Cowboys run Bella chick out of town. And he's the greatest thing ever to move as a coach. And it just seems we left holding a wet bag again. Come on, bill. It's like, how does this, you can't even, you can't write this man. You can't write it. It's crazy. So if you had to pit the Browns against the bills and the lions for the most tortured championship and we'll throw in the Vikings too. Okay. Those four, like who would you have? You're going to have obviously make the case for the brands. You lost a team. None of those other franchises lost a team. That's the worst thing that can happen. They didn't pack, they didn't pack a team up. Like, like, you know, I make the correlation. People talk about those great Indians teams in the mid nineties with bell and all those guys, man Ramirez and told me the reason why those guys are as great as they are. And they had to sell us because the Cleveland Browns left. There was a void in the city. There was kids growing up in 1996. I was, I was a freshman in high school and I never, I didn't watch football to again to 99. We had no team, no direction. That's why baseball was so huge and the tribe was so huge during that time period. But no one had, no one has gone through what the Browns have. They, you know, they took that team. Um, I could make a case that the Cleveland Browns have like really been at least the cat, at least the lions got Thanksgiving. At least I got Thanksgiving. We like, if you look at it, we didn't even have an opportunity because we had to black out in our locally where the game went sold out. You didn't even get to see the Browns. So even when they were here, you didn't have an opportunity to see them. Um, you know, I've always told myself, I think I would literally cry if I got an opportunity to see the Cleveland Browns jerseys, just on, just for the super bowl. Right. I just want to see it come out of that tunnel. That's it. All I want to see is come out to tunnel bill. I'll be golden. I've talked to different fans from the fan bases about this. And I mean, you had the Biner, the Biner game, which is one of the worst losses of all time. Certainly one of the worst ones I've ever seen, but the bills have, they have the Norwood game. They have the four in a row, music city, miracle. They have the 13 seconds game. So they, they add up. And then the Vikings have some of the great losses we've had over the last 50 years. The, the, a case that Alliance fan made to me was like, all right, the bills had all those super bowls. At least they got there, you know, and saying the Vikings, they've had all this heartbreak. At least they got there. And the Browns, like at least they were good in the eighties. Like we've had nothing. We had Barry Sanders. We made round one of the playoffs once and he was good in video games. And do you realize year after year, we just get our asses kicked on Thanksgiving. I thought that was compelling, but I still feel like losing a team is still the worst. But then on top of it, that team becoming the Ravens they went to and Belichick winning another six. And then the fact that you've been incompetent since 1999, like incompetent. We were known for how many quarterbacks we have. Um, like starting quarterbacks, you look at a guy and shout out to Joe Thomas, bless his heart. You know, I, one of the best dudes I've ever met in my life. And, and they just wasted his career. They just wasted it. And they're throwing on top of that. You got to think about it. Like before LeBron came back, it was worse because we're just known as the place that lost the greatest basketball player ever that lived there. Like it was just so coming back was, was a crazy thing, but obviously you left again, but on a better circumstances, but yeah, it's been a strange one. Um, that's why I think I call, um, the Browns America's team. And the reason I call them that is because when you take a look at Brown's backers, I do a small little ball going to barbershop or whatever. And I didn't even, when I started doing this, like I just woke up off my mom's couch being unemployed and was like, listen, I think I want to do that. And so I started a little blog or whatever, and I started doing stuff that I was passionate about. And it was, it was the Browns and no lie. There have been people who have reached out to me from every corner, this globe from Ireland and South America to Hawaii, shout out to why and the people in Hawaii going through some stuff right now, it's Brown's back is out there too. But those people reached out so passionately and was like, listen, I love listening to you because it makes me feel like I'm at home in Cleveland watching my Browns. And there's so many passionate fans around Brown's backers everywhere that it feels like we, we like one big Legion. And if we do win, we will have multi simulcasted parades all over the, all over the globe, uh, celebrating the Browns. And I think, and to be truthful, I think America will root for us because they do know we've been through a lot. I would 100% route unless, unless the line was tasty enough for the other team. And then I thought I would just take the other team. Um, the LeBron thing. So if, if they don't fix game five of the 2016 finals and suspend, dream on, um, and you never win the title that year, what's the psyche of the, of the Cleveland fans at that point, LeBron leaves. He never, he never took care of business. He leaves, and now he's on the Lakers and then he wins in 2020 and you guys still haven't won anything since 1964. Is it like just way darker? Like does the mood of the city just feel different? What happens? It's so crazy about LeBron. It's it's when I try to tell people and explain people how, what it is like on the ground, it's almost being like when he came back and he won, um, it was like one of the greatest things I've ever seen. Uh, you know, playing Steph Curry, you know, and how good they were, um, they, we won that championship. And I think that it was so devastating because after that happened, there had already started to be rumors and whispers that Kyrie wanted out and the machine was already working in us. So at that point in time, like we're, we're a little old Midwest Cleveland, right? You're in Boston. So you know how this thing works. You are the first people detailing the max players and how they move. And you guys were in the cutting forefront of the way the player movement was working. So you guys understood that we never saw it coming. It was, it was totally outside the rim of our possibility that we were saying we just beat one of the best teams ever. LeBron came back and we came back from three, one and it was already working behind the scenes that we were going to lose Kyrie. And so as that season goes along, it w we never even really got a chance to celebrate because soon after that, the 17 season comes around and the warriors go get Kevin Durant and they just dropped a nuclear bomb on everybody. And it was like, we were delusional in our little space. It was like two weeks after you won the title, right? All of a sudden Durant's on the warriors. And then it was just done. It was like, there was no, if you play basketball or if you know the game, there was no way anybody was beating them. And so Durant came, that kind of, you know, you know, pulled Kyrie away a little bit. And then that thing kind of developed. And then it was one of the things where we were looked at LeBron for staying so long. We were like, yo, it's LeBron come back or leaving. We couldn't even prepare for the Kyrie leaving because enemy to me, one of one of the Lebron's best acts was I think it was a 2018 when he beat the Celtics in game seven. Yeah. He was amazing. I mean, the way he might strode that thing. Um, the way he just, I mean, one of those things you don't really understand it until you watch it. But this guy didn't have no, but he had Larry Nance Jr. Yeah. Tristan Thompson. Yeah. But the way he came in game seven and was like, hold on, let me control the pace. I'm down six. And he LeBron does this cool little thing where he's like, oh man, he's keeping it close. He's keeping it close. And then all of a sudden you look up, he's up four with like three minutes left and you're like, what the heck happened? He just morphed in front of us. He had game winning shots against the Raptors. That series. Yeah. I think he, he played well. He, it just Raptors. He'd be someone's game seven. And by the way, by the way, he played all 48 in game seven against the Celtics. And guess what? That game one against the knit or not the next game. One of the warriors, the 51. That was his best game. That was the best game. Yeah. I think that's his best game. Without the charge, without the return to the charge, which I think LeBron got there. I just watched the game over about two weeks ago. If you say he can go in there and steal game one against the greatest team ever assembled in my opinion that I've seen play, um, that's just something to be, behold. But I think it was like a double loss cause they, they probably should have won. So now it's like, all right, we got to beat these guys five times in a seven game series. That's never happening. Like he knew it was done when they lost game one, he punched the wall and broke his hand. And he knew he had, he, you know, there was a small little sliver of where he could go, um, and how he can do that. And he did it. Um, and they just lost the game. And I think he knew he was leaving from that point. But as far as it goes with the fans, we kinda, it was a whirlwind, like I think, and he did, we did in LeBron said it before. Um, he kinda, he kinda, uh, you know, spoils you a little bit because at that point we were on a stage where we were going to go in the finals. It was just a foregone conclusion. We'd be there with the warriors at the end of the season, he turns around and leaves. And then I think after that happens, we start to look and focus at our other teams and say, okay, well, what do we have here? And we realized the calves are going to have to rebuild again. We realized the guardians aren't going to spend any money, but that's a whole nother program. And then we got, we got our Browns. And at that point, the Browns I think was starting to come around a little bit. We had Baker, Baker brought a Jota energy to the city. Um, you know, he just, he was that guy. That's the biggest thing I've learned in this, in this talk so far is that I didn't realize Baker was that past popular to the bitter end. Still is still, listen, people, there were guys, there were guys last year, we started ultimate Cleveland sports show and I was talking, I think he worked with Jay Crawford is on our show as well. And Jay's like, look, if Baker B Baker's going to win his starting job in Carolina, there were actual Browns fans that drove down to Carolina to watch Baker and was like, it had the jerseys on and everything. That's unbelievable. What did they, what did they like? What was, what resonated with Baker? What was it? Well, so what resonated with Baker was he's kind of, it's like, kind of like our country, right? Right. He was a guy who, he wasn't a quarterback. He wasn't one of those button up guys. He told you how it was. He was a guy's guy. He drank beers. He, he said how he felt and said, and felt how he said, and to a certain extent, he came along the time period where we had just left one in 31 with Hugh Jackson, you know, one of the darkest periods in our, in history of the Browns. And he was the guy to give you a little bit of confidence. He gave you a little bit of swagger. He said, nah, listen, I'm not going to take it as us versus everybody. And so that resonated. And on top of that, he won. So he did things, other people, he won, you know, he broke the rookie passing record. He eventually got to a point where the one year to coach the fans, he did win during the COVID year coach of the year. He goes into Pittsburgh and they put it on Pittsburgh. Like we've never seen, you know, the game ended up, ended up being close, but at one point in time, it's 28 nothing in the first quarter and we're sitting around locked in our, in our houses, not going anywhere. Like I can't believe my Browns are doing this to big Ben. We made Pouncey retire. Wow. It sounds like we need a Baker Mayfield Cleveland 30 for 30. Let's get the documentary crew for the comeback. It'll start with those bear coolers. We had won a game. We were one in 31, Tyra Taylor. Uh, it was a Monday or Thursday night. I think it was Thursday night. Tyra Taylor's playing against, uh, Jeff, Sam Darnell and Tyra gets hurt. Uh, he gets injured. Baker comes in, throws a rope down the middle to Jarvis Landry. He catches the ball. Uh, they do the Philly, uh, the Philly special Baker catches the Philly special touchdown. And basically this, this at the stadium, they're running a promotion that where they had these beer coolers filled with beers. And when the Browns would win, they were going to open the beer coolers and it had been almost two years since we won. They win that game coming back and come back fashion. The beer coolers open Baker Mayfield is now like he's Johnson. No, he's the king of the North. He's riding in on his dire Wolf. It's crazy. Like he's the man. And that, and the crazy part about it was, that was like the high point. Like it was here. Like you told us we didn't find it. And he got injured. He got hurt. Uh, you know, the team kind of turned on them, you know, it just, it was evident that he needed to go somewhere else to start over. And I think one of the things that you, you will see in the backdrop of everything going on is this it's it's, you know, you don't never really know what you've got to is gone. Cause I remember coming up and a lot of people talking about Bernie, right. And now Bernie's one of my good friends and he's a, he's a hero because we've had nothing since him. So in the same way of Baker Mayfield, people loved him because he gave him something to, to think about and get through, um, during the tough times. But Deshaun Watson is coming in at a, a very, uh, so difficult task, but I think he's the best quarterback they've had. He has the most talent. Um, and I do think that the Cleveland Browns, this unit is rallying around him. I think this year, he's more of a captain figure than he was last year. I don't think he could have led that way last year, but this year, I think he gets it. What you just laid out made me almost certain that Baker Mayfield, when he retires from football comes back to Cleveland and has like a 25 year media career. Lock it down. Baker on Fox college football. I think Baker Mayfield is a star. Like I, I could see him doing like, you know, the, the, the Fox game day shows or whatever the case may be. He's a star on screen. You can't get around that. Like, so if you watch him, that that's part of, I guess, you know, having that it factor, um, people want to watch Baker. I think he will, he's a, he's a slam dunk star on TV. All right, before we go, can you give me your Cavs prediction for this season in 40, 45 seconds? Wait, what are you expecting? All right. 45 seconds. Um, Donovan Mitchell, this is a big year from him, from him. I like Imani Bates. Um, wait, is it a big Donovan Mitchell year because he completely shit the bed in the playoffs? Oh no, because I think he's completely not going to be here after next year. So you're signing up on that because that's been the whisper campaign for a while. Yes. He's not, he's not going to be here. Um, I think they, they signed up with that knowing that I do like the Niang George being, I like streets. I like, they need some shooters. They need some guys that can spread the floor. Little concerned about Jared Allen playing four B or, you know, stretch four. He's not a guy that could spray the floor. I'm also concerned about Mobley. We met all bodies of unicorn. I need to get him better than 27% behind the three point arc. I want to see more of that. I want to see more dribble into the basket. Um, I think he may play better without Allen. I'm not sure. Um, I think, I love Darius Garland. I think he can take another step forward. You know, 22 small guards is kind of, but what I will say is, I think this team can be anywhere from a one to a five. Um, I would expect them to get past the first round this year. Um, and then from there, it's just all about how well they play in the playoffs at that point in time. Maybe they have enough shooting, but, um, I would pick them somewhere in between one or five. I think the ceiling is a number three C in the East. So why wouldn't they just trade Mitchell now if you think he's going in a year? I think, I think they don't like the packages that they could get back. If you trade him now. Also, I don't think they would trade them because I think that would signal that they made a mistake. I think if you trade him now, it basically says, yeah, we screwed up and we thought we were better than we were, but we just kind of, uh, you know, he was available. We got him, see if it worked. It didn't work. Now we're going to have to trade them pennies on a dollar. So I think they're willing to ride it out because they believe that Mobley can be a unicorn. And if they lose him for, I wouldn't say free, but if they lose them and don't really get much for him, I think that they can really save face because Mobley will be good. Garland who is already locked up. Yeah. All that matters is Mobley and Garland. But I wonder, I just wonder if the Knicks would get frisky and jump in and just try to get them. And you're basically taking all the pics you gave up and getting a bunch of them back. RJ Barrett and quick. Yeah. And you're getting a bunch of stuff back in. Yeah. Um, all right. By the way, before we go, bill, I had to shout out to your daughter, who goes to Emerson college. Correct? Yes. Uh, my producer on ultimate Cleveland sport show, Mikey McNuggets, he's a former basketball player there. So he says, shout out to the Emerson people. Like he's, he knew good one. I said, how long did you do research for that? Mikey, you know, I was going on here. I shout out to Emerson college, right? I love the shout out to Emerson. Uh, all right. So you Brown's final prediction. You're going playoffs. Sounds like your playoffs. Okay. All right. I'm a playoffs guy. All right. I don't want you to jinx anything. "I was a little bit nervous at Brandon Allen might pull a cousins and forget he was supposed to clock it and might take a knee and run out the clock and then we'd go over time. That would have been fun. But yeah, it was wild and I hate that. I hate those shotgun formations on the fourth and inches. No good. Stop that everyone. So you have to do two things. First off, when Joe Mixon almost scored, I had never seen an official before, like go up and yell at the player that you didn't score. You'll mix and was like, I scored and the ref just I saw him running up and going no you didn't give me the ball and still makes it like I'm not giving you the ball. And he's like, you didn't score, give me the ball. But speaking of the shotgun thing, the one thing we do have to mention is another cool little Andy Reed Eric B enemy wrinkled there in that game. Did you see on the fourth and short where they had the full House shotgun backfield but then motion Travis Kelce under center and then had him sort of try to push his way for the first down. Maybe that's a thing that you borrow in the future. That's a fun little. Although I think that was Blake bell. I think that was in Travis Kelce. Yeah, you're right. Yeah. I can't remember what his factor. Some Oklahoma fan has got to tell us what Blake bell's I think dame was who he was when he was the big Tebow quarterback in Oklahoma back in the day. The bell dozer. I think maybe I just made that up. Maybe I just gave him a nickname. Anyways, the chiefs lose for the first time a long time. They also lost two lime in this game. Lucas niang and Orlando Brown junior gold went down. They end up moving Joe Tony out to left tackle. So they held up kind of okay for this one, but I don't know if chiefs fans have any real appetite to test the depth of this offensive line in the postseason for a second straight year. Cardinals, cowboys. So the cardinals finally get back on track and they knock off the cowboys in Dallas 25 22 cowboy scene that just put up what was it a 112 points last week? Against Washington. So this was some opportunistic offense from Arizona. They also got a very impressive fake punt conversion at some point, but I thought it was the defense I got it done. I thought they did a really nice job. I'm not only shutting down the run,.

"I like what you said about mccarthy a lot and i totally agree i think dan quinn coming back going back but coming in was awesome for the defense a twenty nine in this game but there were a couple of key stops the where impressive But you gotta think that kellen moore is going to get a head coach offer sooner than later so if i'm dallas like i don't lose him. So what do you have to lose by letting mccarthy go in giving kellen were the head coaching title. I mean that way you lock him like you're not gonna lose them and you get rid of your liability. Which is your coax right now. So i think they should give killing more look at head coach personally yet. And i mean i as a pakistan having mike mccarthy those last years were horrible i wanted him out and you could still tell that. He's he's awful. I'm just gonna say. He sucks like he. Straight up sucks and i definitely one hundred percent agree. That's why i did not think the cubs are going to do so good. This year was because i thought that their head coach was horrible. I did not agree. But i mean they've still been impressive in no need to kind of be the hate one but like i mean also how the cowboys done. The playoffs like i mean. They're they're really good the season but it really just council on the playoffs and i mean i don't know if they in the playoffs they they look good. But i don't know history's repeating itself. Hopefully maybe feel like those strings can be broken. Like i mean andy. Reed's playoff reputation. Kinda made people a little cautious and then they came back on everybody in won the super bowl. So yeah yeah. That's that's a good point. And we've seen a lot of coaches like that. If you go back to bill cower. He was another guy that was always in the playoffs. Always had a very good team in couldn't breakthrough until he had his quarterback and it looks like well mccarthy does have a ring of course but with that being said i do think he's the weak link on this team but as far as the cowboys as a whole and breaking through. This might be the year. But i still think they haven't really been overall. I don't think they've been tested that much. I kind of alluded to this with the chargers and the bucks being the two best teams. They've played clearly because the rest of their games..

"This patriots team and so it's hard like it's hard to give them too much credit and i think that the mark that dan quinn is left on. His team has been undeniable. This defenses much better despite the fact that they haven't had that large of an infusion of talent. But i still like the one thing that is holding me back from going. All in on this team falling in love with this team is the same thing that held me back when jason garrett was her head coach like i still don't feel that like market like that assurance that you have with the head coach going into a game like you might with like i don't know john harbaugh or you know bill belichick. You know two years ago or you know any anything like that. That's fair except for the fact. That i think i would have said the same thing about the coaching staff. That won the super bowl last year minus the defensive coach. They have their so. That's that's the way it goes sometimes. And look i think mike. Mccarthy has had enga- management issues. I don't know we'll see. It could look in pops up in january game. Now you have a big problem But it's kind of a wait and see type of thing. And i do think it's kind of thing seemingly with andy reid for years your andy. Reed's clock management. Was this huge thing. And now it's not anymore because it's sort of it just sort of works itself out when you make mistakes like even if you're not actively trying to learn to do it better you just learn to do a better because you're like oh right. I screw when i did this. I should not do it that way again. You're my editor. You should know that that's not necessarily true right. I jumped on connor's bandwagon now. Their own to since i did this was this was a game in which they i'll. I'll throw out all the excuses early. They had neither of their starting tackles so they had You're going up against. Jj watt and chandler. Jones with with two backups at offensive tackle. That's a huge problem. Bigger mayfield has a non throwing shoulder injury. It did flare up at one point when he took a strip sack from from. Jj watt but one of those two. They hosted the cardinals and the cardinals were just better than them. And i guess we'll start with Kind of the baker side of this conversation and the fact that we're we're just still not quite there with his browns offense although maybe this was a day where we were not gonna find out any real answers because they had some limitations with the offensive line. Well i think that statement alone speaks to your question. Gary because this was a day when they couldn't run the ball like they have been running the ball. They were missing both of their tackles. As you mentioned. They went into the game without nick. Chub and kareem hunt got hurt during the game so when the browns offense doesn't have a strong run game it loses its identity and so then. I think that does go back to the quarterback right. So here was a day when they couldn't be have that anchor of a strong ground game. So what is the quarterback. Not doing that doesn't allow them to succeed when they're missing that element of their offense. It's a great point and it was weird right. We saw freddie kitchen zahra baker. The today in with that is is like you know he that first redesigned their whatever isn't visible and then it's like this this instinct afloat backwards in a way and to the point where it's disadvantageous and then you still are convinced that you're going to be able to make a play. I think that is still like an element of his game like i. I'm not saying. It's it's menzel ian but it's like it's pre- menzel ian or postman's alien whatever you wanna call it but there is that element of that. That is still hard for him to shake And what was interesting to me is like they almost abandoned in. Perhaps the injuries forced them to do so. But the beauty of this offense for so long. Was it everything was out on schedule. Like the him when his back foot hit on that third step. The ball was out and so and bakers accurate so it was great. Everything was working out for the browns because he was doing exactly what you needed him to do. But when you ask him to do what. Freddie kitchens asked him to do or the browns were an empty sets in and three wide four wide pretty early in this game even when they were down seven. If you're asking him to be that guy. I just don't think he's that guy which is really bad. News for the pro extension crowd. Is jenny kind of alluded to but also like. It's just not how you win. Football games with him and his never really been how you win. Football games with them yet and look you think in the brown djing the titans taking these teams that they do they have to stay on schedule from a down down standpoint. They have to stay on schedule. Game goes they had a couple of early turnovers and all of a sudden. They're down three possessions early in the second quarter and anything you plan on doing kind of goes out the window at this point The other thing. I want to bring up with the browns and i promise we'll get to the cardinals who are six zero and deserve much more praise than than we're probably going to give them in the segment but When i was kind of a little bit down on the browns i was not bullish on the browns. Not as bullish as some Whether on this show or or whether elsewhere in the world so i was worried about the melting of that back seven Just i like all the talent. It's just a lot of new faces. I think that stuff can sort of fall apart early on. When you're started getting used to playing with a new group of guys it didn't really matter early in the season because the front four had been so dominant that it you know you could The three of us could have been on the on the back line for the browns. They would have been fine. What ended up happening today. Colonel offensive line did a solid job. The browns front four did not take over the game. And what.

"We a lot of dump offs by the way the offense coordinator is a former. Nfl running back. Who likes to do that. This is anthony lynn. Who was with the chargers for so many years. Who liked to use austin in this way and who who used a multiple running backs in buffalo when he was the coordinator and the head coach in buffalo. So i don't think look. This is obviously huge games for both guys. I don't know if they make a furious comeback every single week. No do i think both guys are usable enough. Both guys are used enough in the passing game and pbr formats that they're very viable a hundred percent jamal williams who was one of my favorite sleepers. Prison the preseason and yours well field. We talked about quite a bit. We're like this is a good running back. This is a good running back. Who got paid. And they're gonna use both of these guys swift is a special talent as well. So swift is a top fourteen fantasy running back. I think if not higher you know. And i'm where you can see the because i don't want we've already talked about this in the lions are in a great fantasy team about but when you look at their wide receivers in all honesty especially after that first game they have no ability to have that explosive deep play once they get down so the way that they do that. Is those little screen passes to hopkinson or the running backs or the short passes to be able to pick up chunks of yardage. I really don't think there's a single even with tara williams. I don't know if tyler williams's worth rostering based on who. I might want to pick up off of waivers this week. If i'm not look great yesterday. That's move forward. We got a bunch of stuff to try to get to hear the cardinals. Just please spanked titans yesterday. Column looked unbelievably at five total touchdowns fourth through the air one on the ground. He was unstoppable as was chandler jones. That was the story of the game. But as far as fantasy is concerned chase. Edmunds played eight more snaps. Forty two thirty two james connor. He has twelve carries does edmonds for sixty three yards plus four catches for forty three yards and this game played out basically exactly as we sort of forecasted coming into the season right chase. Edmunds has passing game upside. Yes four catches on four targets as i just mentioned. So he's like a low end arbutus slash high inflex play james connors touchdown affleck's by sixteen carries. That was more than chase. Edmunds fifty three yards. That was a little bit less than chase. Edmunds but zero touchdowns and zero targets tripe that. That's how this backfield might go. The it is. But i think just and what we talked in the in the in the during the draft process was connors. Probably the better value because connor was going five. Six sometimes seven rounds after chase edmunds. Much more of a split. Would you in a vacuum. Would you rather have jason. Chevy chase edmunds than james connor. Sure because the passing down equity but like at cost we thought connor was the better value. Either way this is a time share. This is a running back by committee on a team with an extremely mobile quarterback. Who's gonna vulture some touchdowns himself kyla. Murray is going to have a handful of rushing touchdowns this year. Obviously speaking of that and this is komo even on the note. But let me just slide in one thing that i have to get off my chest quarterbacks stealing touchdowns or backup right tackle stealing touch the chiefs ran a screenplay for a backup right tackle. Yesterday that words might have a worst chance of scoring a touchdown from five yard in this year than i do right. Oh my goodness. I mean seriously that was. I know i think ever delivers fine yesterday. But like goodness gracious. That's an anti re thing. He's always done that. And now mean. This is the extreme. We've seen over the past year. Plus like i don't know man maybe overreacting but they like those jet sweeps to tyreek hill shovel past kelsey. They tried that too. And like my point is yes. Mahomes had what two rushing touchdowns yesterday. My point is maybe the efforts to make clobbered cloud layer even an rb to might some weeks struggle. This let's keep keep field really quickly. When are they going to do the trick. Play of just running up the middle with clyde edwards air because no one expects that for me avid eric. So street whose. Andy reed's randy read his his his long lost brother actor for modern family. Yeah he's gonna get a snap at some. There's no doubt in my mind a touchdown before clyde edwards allaire. Let's keep things moving forward here. Matthew state game very quickly though is Patrick mahomes is still the quarterback and fantasy. Kyla murray's close. He's going to breed down his neck. Murray number one this week. Like i'm just saying like it ain't that i'm not saying mahomes is in a i'm not saying what's the old bum phillips quote like. I'm not saying he's in a class myself but it don't take long to call the roll. Exactly kunar their comeback. I'm gonna do one more backfield library and try to get there as many as we can here quickly. Let's start when houston yesterday. Mark ingram thirty three snaps. He had twenty six carries in those thirty three snaps. David johnson twenty one philip lindsay place. Twenty matthew. I think conventional wisdom would be after yesterday that hey mark ingram dominates the carey's yeah has fourteen point five fantasy points. Yeah he's going to be the man. I think in the short term he might be. This was the perfect games here for this and make no mistake about this. Every knows last week. I was pounding the table. They were gonna blow out the jaguars. Great call like you. Guaranteed you literally guaranteed on this show. You guaranteed a victory for the texans which went strongly against conventional wisdom. So kudos to you. That might have been the call the week on. But but i don't think every game that's gonna bump co typical. Their games are it's it's going to be much more difficult for them to have anything close to what they did with the backfield yesterday which is why especially given the lack of versatility of ingram. Of course right. Which makes me feel again. Phillip lynch is still the guy that if you're gonna roster any of them for the course of the season he might be i'm fine with potentially grabbing mark ingram right. Now this weekend to calm he might. He might crack align over the next couple of weeks. But i think over the course of the year. This will be philip. Lindsey who was the most valuable by the way. David johnson scored touchdown yesterday. Do they all did all thirty..

Edmunds james connor anthony lynn tara williams tyler williams buffalo chandler jones james connors jamal williams chase edmunds Chevy chase edmunds connor hopkinson chargers Mahomes

"Radio. And you're a good evening. What do you have for us tonight, My friend. That was really cute. What you played when I did your chart and your wife, Betsy, Tourists and Scorpio. Opposites attract. That was cute. Very good. It was very good stuff. All right, Andrea. So we've been we've been waiting for the day. We've been waiting for this kind of breakdown on the Super Bowl. I can talk about how Rob Gronkowski is really going to be the secret weapon. But forget about that. What one of the stars telling us about Tom Brady and this upcoming Super Bowl. Yes, I ran the charts for Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes and Bruce Arians and Andy Reid. So first things first. Tom Brady. Um He's a Leo August 3rd 1977 11:48 A.m. san Matteo Ashley have a birth time on him 2000 really into astrology. And, you know, he's a Leo. Creative, dramatic. The king of the Zodiac. Trying to use Mars and Gemma Knife, February 3rd to February 12 high energy positive, more confident, may receive increased recognition and influence at this time. So that's a positive transit to be coming into the Super Bowl with. Um it was interesting, though. Um, Andy the day after, um son opposed Saturn, some disciplines feeling some limitation. That's an interesting aside. But you know, all in all, that's his chart, and he definitely also momentum coming into the Super Bowl. September 17 my Burgo birthday Twin Different Year 1995 for Patrick Mahomes. And he has some, you know, powerful transits. Ludo, trying to his son. Confident, powerful, purposeful, can further his ambitions improve his potential. And abilities, But he also has your honest post Mars, which is that injury prone transit. I know who's recently in concussion protocol and had the turf toe and Um, Jimmy Garoppolo has Mars in Scorpio, and he had a kind of some injuries, So I do like his chances. Um, I am kind of favorable there. But what really was interesting. The coaches Andy Andy Reid, March 1919 58 Los Angeles, California So he has a lot of positive Mo mentum, Um Jupiter, making a harmonious aspect to mercury, which is communication. It was clear and quick thinking, more alert and mentally agile, which is obviously the qualities you want to have. Coaching the Super Bowl and then Jupiter in Aquarius, connecting to his Venus in Aquarius, and that's a very favorable transit. That's a high point in recognition. Finances. Um, just a very favorable transit only happens once every 12 years. So I thought that was interesting and was a nice moment. They are, um for Andy Reid and then Bruce Arians. What's interesting? I saw something on Think it was a football life yesterday on Bruce Arian, just like a highlight of his career, And he has a positive Jupiter aspect. You put a try and son October 3rd 1952. January to February. 10th life is usually abundant, happy, confident, capable of achieving goals, more optimism and self confidence. But Mercury opposed Pluto's can be overbearing power struggles with others. So that's a little bit of a challenge there for air. Ian's Andy Reed's chart looks very strong, um, with those positive Jupiter aspect, so it'll be interesting to see Um what exactly plays out there because I did the coaches charts and the QB and then Mercury retrograde Andy. That's a real wild card. Yes, January 30th just started yesterday. February 20th and that rose communication, um, technology, So expect a lot of replays. Reduce some communication. Um, miscommunications. And I think I alluded to it. The last time Mercury retrograde during the Super Bowl was the Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction and all the replays smell and Andy Reid clock issue coming up. Andrea said it my friend. Very Andrea. Thank you for the breakdown. I love it that you take the time and give us some some fun stuff and looking at it a little differently at Virgo in service on Twitter, Andrea. Thank you, my friend and you know, it was really interesting about what Injurious said about Tom Brady. Needs to be appreciated. The whole the feeling of Hey, man, you're doing a good job here. That is one thing. That's a fair criticism of Bill Bell check rolled over the Tom Brady and it's interesting because look, we have our fun with Andrea and she's breaking it down with, you know, all the mercury retrograde in all this stuff, and we can have a good time with it right. But Those do kind of breakdown. Personalities, do they? Not like she even talked about me and my wife. While it's very passive. She's okay to be lead. I'm very much the okay driver's seat. Here we go. Let's go kind of thing. But I think that was a bit of a problem for Tom Brady as it went along for as his years, one along in New England. I guess I'm trying to say, whereas Robert Kraft Would be more than willing to come down will of Tom Bread, his the greatest quality bicycles ever lived and his essentially another child to may. Whereas a bill ballot Jack is, um yeah, it's all about theater team. Well, Tom played well but with a lot of other good things out there to snorting into the microphone when he's given normal press conference. I think that is a part of the deal and look I also think They're from some people that I've talked to around that Tampa organization. Then, in the very beginning, there was that sort of strong headedness from Bruce Air Ian's, and he was smart enough to realize, uh, yeah, I got a unicorn here. In a guy who can teach other people the way he wants things done. So maybe I'll take a half a step back and just sort of let the quarterback maybe have a lot of input as to how he wants things done. Cause I'll tell you this, folks. And I've seen it.

"Brady and not just Brady. But the rare quarterbacks who are so special And if you let them be them you can share in the limelight you can share in the glory. It's hard for me to separate and really to know, because because Tom Brady is the greatest QB of all time. There's a real chance of 43 with a new team separated from the only organization he'd ever known. Until now he's gonna win another freaking Super Bowl. That's It's absurd and ridiculous. I did a love letter to him on the radio yesterday. The pain me A dark evil valentine. I didn't want to send, but but I had to And, uh, I don't want to diminish. Bill Bella checked on that. Despite the whatever they were six in 10 years, we'll see. What evaluation, one of them just really interesting about the Patriots. Divorce in the relationship to Brady. Bill Bella checks on an offensive guy. That isn't how he made his bones. Now the true geniuses. Learn what they need to learn. I mean, one of the things that make it likely. Elon Musk is going to be the first trillionaire in world history is his ability. Whatever you think of the guy. To pick a subject material a random subject and master it and learn it and no one be an expert at it. No reason that a bill below check over here is the head coach who began his defensive guy can't become highly functional, if not better, offensively and especially the CEO in a position That's not a salary comes from And yet He is credited with and he should be the catalyst for the culture and all the things that led to Tom Brady being Tom Brady as he should be. And one of the things that has defined that from the very beginning all the way through Brady's exit. Was Bill Belichick's ability to evaluate Brady and the larger context of of the hoodies, Geniuses, an evaluator. And another thing that we thought And maybe it still does define Bella Jack is the greatest NFL coach of all time was the culture of the team over the self. The ability and an ego driven world. That ego driven business business of ambitious people looking ambition plus spotlight plus high competition leads to insecurity in any business. The NFL included. Around these guys, but around radios eight different. It ain't different. Confident once a special cause they're rare and Belle eject ability, theoretically, not just to evaluate talent, but to get people to buy into no ego. And yet At the end. The Patriots way. And Bill Belichick failed to both those things. Think about the evaluation, the football evaluation failure of not seeing what Tom Brady could still do. And the ego failure of not being able, if you're Bill Belichick The subject gate your own ego when you and Brady got sideways if it's about football, but about the team about winning And Brady's annoying as hell and he is But he's good enough that he could make Bruce areas of Lucas to pull level head coach. You make it work. He didn't How do you separate What Brady did from Bill Belichick. I don't have a good answer. And I think we're going to get Look at this concept. One of the Again. I said Dark Valentine. I'll say it sort of dark offshoots of this great this remarkable run. Of all time. Great quarterbacks is the possibility it's going to expose the level to which they made the careers of men who did not deserve it. We've already seen. This is Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers. Mike McCarthy got some credit right air. He raised up Aaron Rodgers is a pop, and he taught him everything he knew. And then their egos clash. Maybe. Or maybe Aaron Rodgers was the goal was Charlie's golden ticket. Maybe it was the lottery numbers coming up. I mean, I don't know how many lottery winners think they won because they deserved it. But what happened was they got really freaking lucky. That's one Michael Carr, the Aaron Rodgers. Let's look at John Elway, the G and he's an amazing quarterback. Don't me wrong, but as a football player personnel look at the genius. We made it to a Super Bowl with Elway in charge, and we won one. It was everything. He's amazing. All Peyton retired. We suck. We suck. Go sell cars again. That's too That's two Bill Belichick. I'm not writing Bella check off yet. I'm a believer, but I'm starting to be a doubting Thomas of a believer. As the crow made its noise a few times yet, Um I can I stop with the doubts Maybe. Maybe not. We'll see. And keep an eye on Sean Payton. Keep an eye on Sean Payton. My doubts of Sean Payton are are Very high. Not necessarily because of Sean Payton's track record, though I think there's some reasons there since that Super Bowl, the dude's gone 11 seasons. He's won five playoff games in 11 years. Man says he was terrible five. Not gonna math. That is not even one every other year. Even I could do that math. Never, too in the same season. And he had Drew Brees and not just broken, you know, Air P octogenarian. Drew Brees. You know how when you're making a joke of the body about being an old man you like, Look up the cartoon guy and the Walker. I just in pictures, Drew Brees. Now it is the same effect. It's easier to find on search. Before that, and the level of talent and the roster. Probation, Highly celebrated genius. Amazing. We're gonna We're gonna find out. We'll find out Jamie's Winston, huh? You're either a genius or you got a lot of ego. I saw that story of Cam Newton and I much bigger believer and Cam Newton, then James Winston. Much bigger believer. Andy Reid deserves all the credit the world not trying to ran Andy Reed's parade. I'm not I'm not Just going to say.

"Play action is a powerful force it is. Nfl offenses really. Is i think these shanahan mcvay a fancy style offenses can be running it within like two years here. I think the the old the old spread or they'll deal the sort of stagnant You know eleven personnel looks. Those are those are the pass now. i agree and i think that it catches on because it's easy for the quarterback it is easier to install that and to run that whereas something like andy reid system which was very forward thinking and merged west coast principles with the spread is wildly successful. But i think it's relies a lot on andy. reed's creativity. I think when you see other places tried to run that they don't have that same creativity so it comes up a little bit short whereas the shanahan style system is being replicated several places to great degrees of success most importantly where do you stand on the fumble through the end zone. What should the rule be. I don't mind at slough. That's that's a big stan. That's a brave stance these days. It is a brave stance. I know that that gets a lot of. Hey i mean. I see all of the arguments like it is an extremely harsh penalties for something. That shouldn't be that harsh. But it's like an interesting wrinkle to the game. And i feel like it's not that hard to coach or player so that it doesn't happen. Yeah put the reach ryan's but the ritual and it doesn't happen there. I they're there. They'll settle for the first and goal from the two yard line exactly. That was obviously disagree. Yeah yeah. I'm i'm i'm a reverse touchback guy i was a i was born a reverse touchback and i'll die a reverse touchback guy but Yeah i think the ball should stay with the offense. Come back to the twenty. I just don't think the defense you get the ball. If you don't recover it think you have to. You have to put your hands on the ball Before you before you get it back and and then to i could live with. Give it to the defense of the spot of the fumble or something like that. It's they get the ball twenty yards that that seems that seems like quite a gift at the end zones of special area of the field is that is very true. I get that and and quite frankly maybe we should have some. Maybe that makes up for every other rule in the sport which just is impossible for the defense to deal with so well. That's a great point. It does even out the balance a little bit. That is that is the equalizer he was just and then obviously i mean we should match. It wasn't miscall dana. Soerensen should have been flagged for lowering the helmets Should you know should probably be reviewable. Especially if you're going to have to review a plate anyway that you'd probably be reviewable but Slippery slope type thing. I know you don't wanna get into a case where you are reviewing every player on every down to see if they committed a penalty but that was a was a that was a doubly bad break there yet. I know there's a lot of resistance to judgment call type penalties being reviewable. But i do think that one should stand in own class because it was instituted specifically four players safety so you could say that one should thus be reviewable to ensure that it's enforced properly and actually is a deterrent for dangerous behavior on the field. All right hang on one second jenny. It is time for the fantasy segment presented as always by draft kings. And as always. I'm joined by michael fabiano of sl dot com slash fantasy. And also.

All 12 playoff coaches are tied to Bill Walsh or Parcells

"The head coaches in the playoffs that season come from the coaching. Trees of other Bill Walsh for Bill Parcells Abella check. Anthony Lynn, Sean Payton. All coached under Parcells Jason Garrett and Bill O'Brien are further down the Parcells coaching tape. But they all come from the Bill Parcells coaching tree. And that means the other seven come from the Bill Walsh coaching tree. Andy Reid coached under Mike Holmgren was Walsh disciple. Four others come directly from Andy. That's John Harbaugh. Matt Nagy Doug Peterson and Frank Reich. So as we prepare to watch these games this weekend and throughout these playoffs. There is still the influence of those two legendary preeminent coaches of the eighties. If you will in Walsh and parcels what what thoughts Trump to your mind? When you see that? Look, I know that Bill walls is someone who is highly highly respected by guys like parcels end by guys like Bill Belichick. He's at the very very top of this whole thing. And they as far as situational football's concern, and as far as really just being able to build an entire football federation. He's set the standard everyone else is trying to follow now. And now is it is pretty cool though to watch kinda how bills people have done how Andy Reed's people were doing. I mean, it's it's really neat. Because really there's only so many things you can do in full. There's only so many formations you can come up with and so many defenses you can run then it just comes down to good play styles. Make fights right and Walsh that the west coast against the smashmouth run the ball in play defense style of ourselves. And if you look at it that still holds true today. Most of the Andy Reid disciples over there. Bill walsh. They're going to get the ball out. Quick. Quick eater intermediate passing game highly rhythmic west coast offense. Then you look at the Bill Parcells disciple disciples, we're going to run the football player action shots down the field and had this big physical defenses that try to beat you up and want to make this game playing the phone booth. You've heard me say this on this show that if the guys that are really good the great coaches right now, and the guys that are going to continue to be one of those eight teams looking for aid coach on finding the guy.
