"Department lawyers and the court should have been given complete and accurate information so they could've meaningless meaningfully evaluated probable cause before authorizing surveillance of a US person associated with a presidential campaign that did not occur. And as a result the surveillance of Carter page continued even as the FBI gathered gather information that weakened the assessment of probable cause and made the FIS applications less accurate. We concluded that investigators I did not give appropriate consideration or attention to facts that cut against probable cause and that is the investigation progressed and more information tended to undermine undermine or weaken the assertions in the FIS applications. Investigators did not reassess the information supporting probable cause further further the agents and supervisory agents did not did not follow or even appear to know certain basic requirements in the woods procedures features although we did not find documentary or testimonial evidence of intentional misconduct. We also did not receive satisfactory satisfactory explanations for any of the Arizona emissions we identified we. Are we found as we outlined here are deeply concerned and that so many basic and fundamental errors were made by three separate handpicked investigative teams on one of the most sensitive F. B. I. Investigations just after the matter had been briefed to the highest levels within the FBI even though the information sought through the use of authority related so closely to an ongoing the presidential campaign and even though those involved with the investigation knew that their actions would likely be subjected to close scrutiny. The circumstances reflective selective failure as we outlined in the report NACHOS by those who prepared the applications but also by the managers and supervisors in the crossfire hurricane chain of command and including FBI senior officials who were briefed as the investigation progressed. We believe that in the FBI's most sensitive in high priority matters and especially when seeking court permission to use an intrusive tools such as adviser order. It's incumbent upon the entire chain of command at the organization including senior officials to take the necessary steps to ensure that they are sufficiently familiar with the facts and circumstances supporting wording and potentially undermining a FIS application in order to provide effective oversight consistent with their level of supervisory responsibility responsibility. Such oversight requires greater familiarity with the facts than we saw in this review. Where time and again during our ally interviews the FBI managers supervisors and senior officials displayed a lack of understanding or awareness of important information concerning many any of the problems that we identified? That is why as you'll see in the report. Our final recommendation was to refer the the entire chain of command that we outline here to the FBI and the department for consideration of how to assess and address their performance failures. Additionally in light of the significant concerns we identified the G. announced this week that we were initiating audit that will further examine the FBI compliance with the press woods procedures in FIS applications at target USA person's not only in counterintelligence investigations but also importantly in counter-terrorism investigations nations. The report made a number of other recommendations to the department in the FBI. We believe that implementation of those recommendations including thing that those that seek individual accountability for the failures identified in our report will improve the FBI's ability to more carefully and effectively utilized. DO I. It's important national security authorities like Pfizer while also striving to safeguard the civil liberties and privacy of impacted. US persons the League will continue to conduct rigorous oversight of these matters in the months and years ahead including the recommendations that we made in this week's report that concludes my statement and be pleased to answer any questions the committee may have the FBI former FBI. Director James Comey said Ed. This week your report vindicates him. Is that a fair assessment of your report. You know I think the Activities We found aired on vindicate indicate anybody who touched this this is what Comey said in two thousand eighteen director. Comey the reporters asking him can ask you a question. On Advisor. Abuse is a major issue for the Republicans. Do you have a total confidence in the dossier when you used it to secure surveillance warrant also in the psalms subsequent the renewal this was asked in December of two thousand eighteen about a year ago coming. I have total confidence that defies. The process was followed. That entire case was handled in a thoughtful responsible way. Doj India Bi. I think the nation I I think the notion that was abused here is nonsense. Would it be fair to say that you take issue with that statement. Certainly our findings were that there were significant while he speaks about five. You shouldn't listen. LISTEN TO MR Horowitz. He's not vindicated and to be concerned about the process is not nonsense. Christopher Steele is it fair to say that he had a political bias against Donald Trump. He given who was paid for there was a bias that needed to be disclosed to the court. Does it seem that he personally had it by not just on the payroll the Democratic Bharti. Well we found in the course of this and heard from Mr or about his comment to him that he was desperate to prevent Mr Trump's election again. And this is the guy that provides the dossier that gives the war over the top against Carter page. He's paid for by the Democratic Party. Any personally believes is bad for Donald Trump to win. He's marketing the dossier which is a bunch of garbage to anybody and everybody tomatoes important. Is that important. Do any evidence of bias is supposed to be disclosed court and to the department lawyers. Okay so let's play this out in January twenty seventeen when they figure out the primary sub source and they talked to the Russian guy that provided still all the information what should the FBI have done at that moment to things reconsidered internally where things understood and most importantly told the lawyers at the Justice Department who they were asking to help them get advisor in their five people in that interview right correct trek. Okay are you gonNa make sure those five people are known to the higher ups. They are all part of the referral that I mentioned earlier. Okay did they have a duty to to report to their supervisors and eventually to the court sculptor information absolutely. They did not. They did not why. That's the question I can't specifically answer for you. Can you say it wasn't because of political bias on on decisions regarding those matters I I do not know their state of mind at this point. So we're talking about actions now trying to figure out what would motivate people. Do you think Komi McKay should've known. That's a challenging question. As we explain in the report there were multiple briefings up the chain including to the director and the deputy director her. We don't have a clear record of what precisely they were told. And as you know is information flows upstream. You'd be surprised if it didn't make it up the system so on this earth shattering. I'M NOT GONNA speculate. It could wipe might or might not know so Mr strikes there are a three iterations of the team. Metrics actually transitions off as on this matter in January of two thousand seventeen so it's not a might have have to go back and look precisely and he mentions that still can't verify correct so pretty clear to me up so the court should have been told they were not. How did they describe this meeting to the court in the war and application so in the second and third in the second and third renewals the last two applications? They told the court that they had interviewed steals primary source who on whom steel relied and writing and the reporting and that they found the primary source to be credible they did not tell the court or the department lawyers any of the information which would have allowed them to know that. If you found the primary source credible you couldn't have also found the steel reporting crap. Did they mislead the court that was misleading to the court and to the department to not include things January twenty seventeen. They failed to report award. Obviously sculptor Tori information and when they did report the court about the interview. They lied about it but let me at also that year later in February in in June of twenty eighteen when the department said a rule thirteen letter to the court informing them of other information. That had not been provided to the court. The department still didn't know about the primary sub source information formation and so in the department and its letter said that it's still stood behind the Pfizer applications. Very interesting they reference the primary sub source again and the fact that the FBI found that person so these the best and brightest we have well certainly the FBI the actions of the FBI agents on this. We're not so or the Andy Hicks these people. Are they representative of the department. As a whole in your view. I certainly hope so that that is not the way others are following these practices. Yeah me too okay. So let's fast forward now to June of of twenty sixteen. Mr Clients may have to see. I'm going to defer on speaking about people who we don't name in the report who's the gathered alter tell me about the guy that altered the e mail from the CIA so there was a lawyer in the office of General Counsel at the FBI who was the line attorney working with the agents and Dan counterparts that the National Security Division on the Pfizer and that individual in June of twenty seventeen As the last application was being prepared and immediately following Mr Page Carter page going to news outlets after word of the phases hit the news media and said to the news media. I was someone who worked with. US intelligence agencies not someone who works worked against them lawyers and agents went and said we've got to figure out what's the story is that what happened the lawyer the attorney for the FBI reached out to a liaison at the other government agency that was at issue asked. The question is is was Mr Page source or contact of some sort for your organization the report back in the email referenced the August Two Thousand Sixteen memorandum that that agency had provided to the FBI. That I mentioned in my opening statement the FBI did no follow up on and said what that liaisons general recollection was. That Mr Page was or is is someone who still who had a relationship with the entity. I'm with the other government agency but that the lawyer should go look at the report for confirmation the lawyer then had a conversation with the FBI agent. Who is going the to be the the person who swore out that final application FIS application the agent told Dos and is detailed in in here was concerned about what he had learned about what Page said publicly and today definitive answer as he put it as to whether either pay the agent? If Carter Page was actually telling the truth it changes one of the predicates to consider him a foreign agent that was the concern of the.

"They may may be willing to sell him for very very little just to improve on that position and try to compete in that case you buy him for for for nothing. Oh for penn yeah fatty this count dynasty <hes> <hes> i'm already in a rebuild retool situation anyway i can agree with that but we're talking about the premium that comes with cory seager name were no longer paying that man remember all the people who are like cory seager at pick ninety sign me eh up and i was one of those people. I'll admit it man you know grief. Give you grief for for being so cool on him and saying. Do you know i'm just gonna wait for my guys down there but you're not going to take them at at ninety like that's so good. He went out of that top ten or twenty in my main event. We got got early nailed because he's not good <hes>. It's really not that. I started going. Oh my god made thank you you know. Pull the trigger but i don't think he can be in my top two hundred going into next season. I don't think you're out of bounds you know certainly at the tail end of it if he is cory seager certainly going to be somebody that when you're making if you make a one to two hundred list just has to be i think in that last thirty i think one seventies about the highest you can reasonably get him right now and that's just with some with with some you know love kind of sprinkled on you just really like you're projecting because what he's done right now now now. It's not therefore secret all right. Let's move over to the hot corner. Third base got two guys on each jen here the two spices giovanni or shallow little bit similar to mark canada in that. He's been doing it all year yet. He's remained one of these fringe guys. I know i've had them in a league where he's been on my bench since i picked him up and whenever he does something good on my <hes> would have been cool to have evan my lineup but i i never really regretted it and until very recently like he's had a really strong a really strong run here very recently still on my bench but eight homers three fifty six average one ninety four yards since july first and is new york counterpart j._d. Davis i mentioned we have another another met here. He's been on fire as well four homers 373 average one eighty three w._r._c. plus. He's fallen into more playing time. Both guys really have obviously obviously the yankees lose somebody seemingly every day but j._d. Davis was kind of bouncing around. He was the lefty killer <hes> but now he's a fulltime guy is really is taken on that left field role whereas our show has really assume the third base role here and he's batting five six sometimes as high as three four in the yankees lineup right now so talk to me about the too hot corners in new york start with their shallow and what you thinking with these guys right now i mean our show is just needed a role role and and he said benefited from this yankee team literally falling apart. I mean at every turn you every time they get someone back back. Then frigging get smashed in the in the wrist so now lemay who's bouncing around our show is in every aaron hicks gets going player the month her mytalk mytalk now dealing with this core like you can literally put together a better lineup then probably doubly ninety percent teams in the major leagues by their. I l. o. For sure dude i mean you got sanchez and can i see oh. I've voight eight. Andy hicks step stand yep. You know you need a eight nine hitter. You've got ellsbury in greg bird and house very you and i have an ace. I have as an closer with severino and matanzas. I'm taking my eye as that. Rotation is lazaga montgomery c._c._c. bath and severino coming into close like you said i mean this is a is a pretty sick..

"I you know i think that homefield makes a big difference. Houston looks really good but again outta luck. Let's talk about those yankees from the files of we can't have nice things <hes> <hes> every single time. It looks like turned. The corner on injuries saturday lose encarnacion. Andy hicks sunday. They decide torres has like a core the issue that they're going to check out or shelhah keeps just dive bombing foul balls off of his shins. He goes down the wet sack of cement in the batter's box and everybody's worried about about him first of all rochelle hitting cleanup. Let's just talk about that for a second. This is a guy that had forty at bats toronto last year to twenty for. Maybe the the best team in the american league. If it's not the astros it's the yankees and you've got gleyber torres who i need to point this out. You look at the single eighteen for the yankees and in tampa half of their roster is older than gleyber torres so i mean maybe we lose sight of that sometimes the guys twenty two and tearing it up. Where do you make the the the yankees stand right. Now i mean i know they're rotations the mess and their july r._a. From their starting rotation john over six and in june it was five and three quarters. They just keep spackling over every problem that they have it. It's amazing yeah people will say it helps to have two hundred million dollars plus payroll but they've really terrific job or shallow that came out of nowhere just to pick up for nothing late last summer. Nobody even noticed it. They saw something <hes> voigt to same thing now. He hasn't been as great as show lately but void of course is another guy who gotten hurt. They've been in double digits on the injured list. <hes> basically the whole year. They've been one of the two most unlucky teams in terms of injury the other one being the angels of really really been hit hard obviously the terrible terrible tragedy edgy. They had there but they also have many injuries but not like i mean the yankees <hes>. It's really terrific job. Aaron boone's done a terrific job brian cashman. You have to give him credit torres which i tweeted <hes> this week that was the greatest traded major league baseball history from both sides because the cubs hubs broke a one hundred eight years jinx which is incredible. Obviously one of grace world series victories ever andoras. The yankees got a superstar. Everybody always pointed to the smoltz for oil alexander trade and those of us are old enough to remember that still look at that as a great trade but let's not forget alexander exander did not lead the tigers to a world series championship and chapman did leave the cubs to not only world series championship but historically and tourists twenty two years is old looks like a superstar going forward now. There is a concern now. They say core injury that gets to be very nerve wracking specially. They're going to baltimore. He is absolutely absolutely tormented. Orioles this year but <hes> you know they lose him that would be you would think a devastating blow but <hes> the initial prognosis seems to be okay not terrible well. That's the thing the yankees are now fourteen and a half up on boston and they get their next two weeks against only toronto and baltimore..

"Tackle Mitch Wirtz. Mitch words isn't going anywhere fishers, not going anywhere. Mitch more says than going with would Andrew Wylie played some good football. I like what I see from seven seven. Is there a possibility here where you re insert LDC into right guard. And then you move Wiley left guard knocking what's really been a carousel all season between Jeff Allen is a camera. Do you like Wiley enough to maybe make the switch there or do you put maybe L L T D L D, T, whatever you wanna call him into left guard consider them, I'm gonna just call. Them the doctor. I know you I know you're a linebacker. But but what would you do with this situation? I think you have a little bit decision here. No. Well, you know when a doctor calls, you gotta make gonna make moves. So if they often line is ailing in one position if there's one position is causing concern. Like you said, it's not the tackles and sentenced at the gore position and nothing they're lacking. But you always you don't let your good keep you from great. And this can be a great offense of line. They already on the brink of it. I think all they need some consistency. And that's one thing that you don't give them camera sometimes game in game out. You get flashes of greatness. And then you get some, you know, a couple of mental bus couple of penalties and stuff like that offsides or, you know, hands of the face, you know, things like that can can stunt drive. So if you got somebody in the wings that you can kind of get it done then collectively between the three guys you gotta vailable you put two in there. Hey, I if somebody is hesitating Angolan all cylinders you're not forced to stay with that guy. You got another guy you can roll up in there. So as our our offense of lime being actually a six person starting rotation and that kind of complained. The benefit of offense because defensively sometimes defensive tackles, they start, you know, Keenan on certain movements on certain keys, but if you can rotate those guys and get some different looks in there also brings up that unbalanced land set. I mean, so many things you can do you guys. Do you have confidence in the Andrew Andy hick? Dolphins land coach has done a great job at all the guys on the field. And so he just has a couple more bullets was that'll be a point to watch added a safety chamber. Exactly what the chiefs do at the offense of line. Andy Reid, always says he's gonna use the best five guys. But Sean says there's opportunity there to six guys I believe they did twice in the last game. So remains to be seen on the other side of this very quickly. Ron parker. I mean, you did work with the defense during training camp. This is a guy who's been with the chiefs since two thousand thirteen he had a little bit of time with the Atlanta Falcons this offseason before coming back. This is probably the end of his career here. I think with the release. I I would say thirty one years old. What do you make a Ron Parker and just what he contributed? Into this team both before this season and this season with all the injuries chiefs at its safety. I mean hats off to Ron Parker because what he did is he gave the he gave the secondary instability win season was about to start and you had no dirty, Dan, you had no berry and he was facing starting the season with Armani watts who was a draft pick. And you know, you know, Twenty-one Eric Mary Eric Maria that that wasn't the secondary to Jim vision going into the season with so having wrong parka come into really Murray and Parker for awhile there and during that winning streak those guys guys out there getting it done. And so, you know, Ron Parker has played a significant part of this season. Have it turns out whatever the destiny of this of this two thousand eighteen chief team is it's as his Ron Parker stamped all over. He he definitely pulled his weight when time was necessary. And he allowed somebody's Yungas to kind of grow up a little bit learn some lessons takes them, you know, take their time growing into.

"Liquor stores or grocery stores. But this is, you know, ladies Princess w love champagne do year round, just like cigar. And there is a misnomer that people said it's only for two weeks out of the year around New Year's, but it's not it's really a pleasant just to serve year outdoors. People are coming to your house, even in the summer, ice and chilled. It's cold. It's it's refreshing. Suddenly it makes everybody a little happy happy. Yeah. Exactly. Well, if you look at it with all the different styles of champagne, whether to resume you can have with steak, you know, you have. To block or a brute or an extra try. You can have it with different cuisines. So you could drink it every night. I can tell you one thing that I love champagne and sparkling wine with this time of year stone crabs. Grabs best best. And so far the season's been pretty good. If you've by the way, if you've never had stone crabs very different than lobster, very different than regular crap. It's almost it's very sweet it is just succulent. Very tasty. And what's interesting about stone crabs is they only puck one clock. There's a certain size, and they re grow the cloth. Right. So it's not as if you're killing stone. That's why there's a strict season between October fifteenth and may fifteenth gives the summer to re grow the claw. That's why they're so popular. And there is a tie to Brown form and the parent company of Jack Daniels and reserve. Yes. They distributed for the core bell family. So there's a lot of quality involved there. No question about it. So let's pop open the core bell brute, and.

"What this is celebration thursday this is a win win happy happy win win not many teams in queens david a witness it we'll get to that in just a bit and some just beyond alarming numbers that there are no answers for when it comes to the mets but let's start with the yankees john hayman's report last night we'll get the sunny gray and here too but hayman reporting that there is very much a serious offer on the table for many machado from the yankees and there's many as five teams in the mix and of course right now you have to try to separate fact from fiction whatever smokescreen is at the moment but this seems very very very legit and i think the the thought process is there if they got machado and they turned around and traded controllable starter all of a sudden it kinda changes their fortunes a bit moving forward into the changes enhances their fortunes a bit you heard and read the comments if you didn't hear them from aaron boone kind of saying i expect something's going to happen you know something i think he's at significance going to happen you know and listen that's not revolutionary we know that even hal steinbrenner said himself that they need starting pitching so are pitching so you know the kids are going to decide but this is what i was thinking about last night when i was watching that game and watching greg bird had his first ever career grand slam okay so that's back to back nights where he has homers so that is if he starts getting going here that's your lefty bat power right from here that's where you're going to get your lefty power back then you have dede gardner who are going to be your lefty bats who are going to get you on bass who are going to be higher average guys and who are going to be able to be on fire to right now and hicks is the switch hitter right but it's like even adding machado you can have a very balanced lineup here because i know people have been saying to righty heavy too much righty power i don't know i think if greg bird starts smashing and bashing like he has the last two days if this is real he doesn't get injured again and you have the lefties dd gardner andy hicks who could switch it although hicks is better from the right but whatever he can do it and they'll walker if he's going to be a factor is also switch hitter then i don't know i think this lineup looks a little bit more balanced that people were giving a credit for even if you add machado another righty power bat and we just understand we know that cashman plays chess not checkers so we expected to be elaborate move we we don't think is just going to be a move from channel and then you know how you figure out where you fit in what are you doing how are you going to sit down and it would be a great piece he he's been a chip in you know when you think about the the garrett cole and off season hold up with and too hard but now he's elevated his stock to where he can be a centerpiece of a trade for controllable piece so you think about maybe him and clint frazier and you get your started so that's the best of both worlds because manny gets a goal to his natural position third base dvd's right there so you still don't affect the chemistry and everybody understands this is the business end of har has earned a right to be a yankee i mean his future's bright but you gotta do what you gotta do to make the team better in in your first obligation due to the player is to.

"Sitting on the bench uh in those berry as a as a parttime player uh and you have to think i mean they've they'd love to move them um you know wouldn't be unusual for yankees team to have that much money on the bench they've certainly done the nearest tass uh but yeah they're going to be doing so much shuffling right now that els breach just as israeli the oddman out you know so much has been said about next year you know brace harper and avocado and all these guys are going to be available and the yankees gotta get below the one ninety seven for them i'm not even sure next year that they're going to want or need those gives me an harper where are gonna put him not that he's not a terrific player but with judging stanton andy hicks and you know gardner and everybody else in the outfield and i guess you'd find room for harbor but he going to spend four hundred million dollars to have another outfielder another allstar i i think the more intriguing name as the other one you mentioned the eritrean is machado uh you know i i think a lot of that depends on how these young players look this coming year i mean tori that the guy that could either play second or third uh depending on what the spot where where they're going to need to play in this coming year and if he winds up to third base in plays extremely well uh that's going to you know maybe leave less of it moved from a child there were the yankees one feels compelled uh if he becomes the player they think he can but that said i mean the yankees want to get under one 97 for this coming year because not only does that saved them luxury tax for this year at let you kind of reset the press stanage of what you have to pay in in years following so rather than pay fifty percent that'd be down to twenty so they'll be much more willing to go beyond one ninety seven.
