"Five of hostilities between Israel and the Palestinians tonight. It has risen to a new level. That battle heating up is Israeli troops are now attacking on the ground in the Gaza Strip What appears to be a new counter attack by Israeli defense forces tonight, Israelis living along the border of that Mediterranean Sea coast Palestinian land told to leave their homes and go to safe locations in what appears to be a ground force of sold on Gaza by Israel. The Conservative Political Action Conference happens every year but 2021 will be different

"In Orlando. It's called CPAC, the conservative political action Conference and with a closer look at this year's gathering, ABC News correspondent Andy Field Andy after losing the White House. What's the tone of the conference going to be this year? Well, the theme is called America On canceled. I think they probably got that from former President Trump, who was none too happy about being canceled by Twitter and Facebook and many other social media Basically, Silencing him on all those platforms after many of his tweets were considered, uh, inciting violence, and many of them in retrospect, appeared to have helped Spark the attack on the U. S. Capitol. So Republicans and certainly the Conservatives of this conservative political action conference are angry about this. They're saying that they're being silenced by liberal media. And they're going to speak out about it, which, ironically will be covered by many of the outlets that they considered to be liberal media. Well, it seems also and maybe on a grander scale. The big task for the Republicans is charting their future and and maybe unifying the party because it seems so at this point, so splintered. Well, it is. There was a survey that came out recently. That said 46% of Republicans would gladly join a new party headed by Donald Trump. In split off from the Republican Party. That's a significant number of Republicans who say they're more loyal to Donald Trump of the party. That's a concern for the rest of the party, and certainly Is going to go play into what this conservative political action conference is all about. This is usually the Super Bowl of folks trying to get attention to say, Hey, look at me. I want to run for president the next time around. Except the leader of that group appears to be the man who just was president and wants to get another shot at it. Let's talk more about the former commander in chief. I see that Donald Trump is on the guest list. What about that? And who else would we know who other famous names are on that list? Andy Well, former Secretary of state Mike Pompeo, who has also released We've heard rumblings that he might want to run for office. But would he do it against Donald Trump? We don't know Other people Tom Cotton Ted Cruz. Josh holy of Missouri. All of expressed some interest in the past or present and even future of trying to get the highest office in the land. So this is really kind of Ah, A tag team elbowing match to see who is going to get the most attention who makes the biggest splash here. And then what will former President Trump say? Well, he ignore what happened at the U. S. Capitol will Hey, talk about where he'd like to see the party will even say, Hey, I'm announcing I'm running again. That's all The mystery involved here, which is what former President Trump likes to do is a former TV host is He's the audience to make sure they tune in. Ted Cruz invited But after what happened

"Standing by for live report from Andy Field in Washington? But let's go high above all the problems of mankind. The black hole we found it, of course in space. And then we saw that photograph from space. It was about a month ago when the story broke and there's been so much generational interest in science. In fact, researchers have been in Washington all day talking about the event horizon telescope. That's the one the captured the first image of this black hole. Dr Catherine Bowman with a Harvard Smithsonian center for astrophysics says the reaction has been incredible. I've even had you know. Four year old girls come up to me and tell me about the black hole. And, and I think that getting that interest in science of two young students at a young age. It will help them. Enter the stem fields and make contributions to many different projects. Bowman created an algorithm that led to another algorithm. That led to the black hole being seen for the first time by the human eye. And of course, tonight, SpaceX will try again to launch some satellites on a rocket. We've got that story coming up, but we are joined happily by ABC's Andy Field, an anti, you know, I wanna play the sound bite for you. And listen, America's last major overhaul of our legal admissions policy was fifty four years ago. Sounds like it's time for a change. But that's what everybody's been talking about in Washington. Does this plan from the White House drafted by Jared? Kushner, have any. The hope of surviving congress, not at the Democrats have any say in it, and they do in the house. They have the majority and speaking, ANSI below. So he's already said there's no way this is going to pass the house. She said, as inhumane, does no longer prioritizes families the way. Immigration policies have over the years now there are economists, and even some Republicans and some Democrats who think it's not a bad idea to have some sort of point system, and allow more people who are well, educated have something to offer society of our younger that are not so much of a drain on the resources of the country. But actually add to it. There's nothing wrong with that. But the president has made, no secret of the fact that he doesn't like everyone else. And so he wants to increase from I think twenty seven percent of people who get those green card visas all the way up to way more than half almost sixty percent of the people says that's what they do in Canada. And in New Zealand in Australia, and he thinks that would be a better thing for this country, the Democrats, disagree with them. And of course, there's nothing in there. But DACA, the delayed action for childhood arrivals of the so-called dreamers, which is a big priority for the Democrats. We use surprised at that, that there wasn't some kind of Carrick on DACA stick. Well, he may use it as negotiating tool, but the president, he pretty much knows this is going to pass this congress. In fact, he said is much during the speech saying, you know, we don't get Democrats to agree to this, and he went out and attack Democrats, saying, they're for open borders, and for chaos and for murder and crime. Which, of course, that's not what any democrat I've ever heard says, but he did say that, you know, my other solution is will just win back the house will win back the Senate. And of course, we'll win back the presidency and we'll be able to do this all in twenty twenty and of course you could hear his base clapping nationwide at that. All right. I have to let you go, but it's been lovely ABC's Andy. Thank you. Thank you, six Bloomberg business. Here's Tracy jonky, progress toward recovering from Monday's deep dive, the Dow up two hundred fourteen points, NASDAQ up seventy six twenty five points. Boeing provided the largest part of the Dow's lift after. Said the software updates for the seven thirty seven max is complete. It also helps that WalMart and Cisco systems profit and sales news was solid, almost in spite of the global trade risks while Marta shielded somewhat by its US grocery business. That was a big part of WalMart best first quarter in nine years, I'm Tracy jonky, Bloomberg business on WBZ. Boston's NewsRadio we had a good day on Wall Street all those China tariff jitters, settling down. At least for now, Dow Jones up nearly one percent and the NASDAQ and the s&p also up nearly one percent. We're just shy twenty six thousand on the Dow space x tries again tonight, launching sixty small satellites on a single rocket SpaceX CEO Elon Musk says the sixty satellites will be the first of several hundred for his Starling internet service something he hopes will enable his space business to stay in business. At least twelve more launches for Starling to have worldwide coverage that musk says, we'll bring the internet to areas where connectivity is limited or not existed last night's launch from Cape Canaveral with scrubbed because of high winds. Tonight's forecast. Looks good for launch window that opens at ten thirty eastern time. Peter King, CBS news Orlando..
